one of the funniest things about the fact checking video (coming from someone who never watched james) is that most of the information is a net gain, but every once in a while todd will mention some niche thing that I actually know something about that James got wrong

I waz wondering, what would happen if I were to deztroy one of yer little featherz? Would it hurt ya?
not a bit. they’re like hair or nails. tugging on them when they’re connected to my body hurts, but destroying them doesn’t. nice try.
the best I can do when they’re disconnected is see out of em. I take a peek on occasion. Right now, they’re in a desk next to some moldy cheese, a pair of smashed sunglasses, and… a long white flight feather. like the ones used for quills. that’s… weird. none of my business if you have a thing for higher beings though.

Hello my bird friend! It has been a while since our conversations have not involved some crazy tomfoolery! (╯✧▽✧)╯
I hope you're not still unconscious, that'd be quite inconvenient! Anyhow, I come here asking for a small favour. I'm currently in a difficult position, as in a lot of crisising, and I cannot have conscience around me at this time as both me and them are in internally dying! (〃^▽^〃)
I was wondering if you could look after them, since Beelzeboss will kill both them and me if I try handing conscience over again!
-@wr4llcr4wler
Unfortunately, little spider, my precious little bird is still… sleeping. I’ve been watching over him as he does. I will take care of this ‘conscience’ in his stead, if you would let me.
You have not met me yet, nor do I think you ever will. Just know that, like you, I care for Ulysses.
I will look over your conscience if you only tell me what happened to my precious boy. If not, then I suggest you leave and invest in some mental care.

#OTD in 1883 – Execution of Joe Brady for the murder of Lord Cavendish in Phoenix Park.
Brady was one of the Invincibles – a Fenian splinter group – that murdered the Chief Secretary of Ireland on his first day in the country. Four others were executed for the murders.
Brady by all accounts was a mountain of a man. The Times wrote after his execution. “He was brought up as a stonemason of herculean strength, his occupation developing the muscular power of his arms, which told with…

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield
I won't live to know whether my work has outlived me. But one can't predict the future in general, and this doesn't prevent us from making decisions that influence, change, and often determine that future. The future isn't wholly unknowable, and the future doesn't just happen: in large part we make it. This works no differently in poetry than in any other field of endeavor. There is no guarantee that one will reach any of one's goals in this life. But not to struggle toward those goals is to guarantee that they won't be attained. I choose, in the words of Tennyson's Ulysses, 'To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
— Reginald Shepherd, from “Orpheus in the Bronx: Essays on Identity, Politics, and the Freedom of Poetry” (University of Michigan Press. 2007)

"Andy Serkis in the Flesh" by Oliver Franklin-Wallis for GQ Magazine (27 February 2023)
Photography by Tung Walsh
Andy did an interview for GQ Hype. He talks about so many of his past roles, future projects, and performance capture. Also the opening paragraph mentions how handsome he is, so you know you're in for a good read.
