So can someone tell me why Max is able to get away with doing whatever he wants but when another driver puts a foot wrong, they get blasted by F1 fans?

It’s all ‘omg mad max ! I love my controversial king!!’ Then Lando says something dumb or annoying and the whole internet starts going on about how he’s not championship winner material.

AND DO NOT GET ME STARTED on how the internet has vilified George for…caring? Showing emotion? Because it’s weird and cringe for a man to show an emotion that isn’t rage?? - yeah…

Everything George said in that interview last year that he got called a crybaby for saying is 100% TRUE. And it’s been proven to be true…over and over and over again. And it’s not funny. It’s embarrassing. Why is a 27 year old man throwing tantrums? Instead of talking to his team management, instead of trying to get the best result he can with that car.

max is sweet and gentle most of the time, buying you all the bags, shoes, clothes you could ever want. but when he snaps? you hardly recognise him.

maybe you accidentally mistreat a scarf he bought you. it’s ripped, and ungratefully, you offhandedly mention that ‘we’ll just get another one’.

max doesn’t like that one bit. ‘you think i’m made of money?’ as he’s slamming into you, no regard for your comfort. ‘you think i like spending my money on a whore like you?’ and you’re trying to shake your head, give him an answer, but he has the scarf that you so carelessly discarded wrapped tightly around your neck, turning you into a breathless, choking mess. and he’s not letting you up until you’ve cried, begged for forgiveness, and really felt the cost of such behaviour.

of course, when he’s done treating you like the toy you are, he’ll buy you another scarf. and some shoes, and some wine, and anything else you’d like. isn’t he just the nicest ever? <3
