We know Ao3 doesn't have an app and yet they keep popping app. That makes me feel that people want it and get exploited by the fake ones.
There isn't a plan to make one but, have a PWA been considered?
Hey chaoticneutralchocolate -
The main reason that apps pop up for AO3 is not because fandom folks want it, so much as app-making-folks want to monetize fans accessing fanfiction. All those apps? they have ads. that make the developer money.
Currently, we do not have an API (application program interface), which is needed to allow an app to interact with our servers. Developing such an interface and then the apps themselves (for the various mobile platforms) would take significant time and coder effort. It’s unlikely to happen while the Archive code is still rapidly changing, as this would require the apps to be updated for each change. You can see more details at our news post on the subject: https://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/3390 .
Even a browser-based app interface would be a tremendous amount of work that we do not have the staffing (or inclination) to establish or maintain.
In the meantime, you should be able to access the fully functional Archive using your device’s browser with our mobile stylesheet, and to download works to read offline with an e-reader app. You can also add a link to the site on your home screen ( https://www.howtogeek.com/196087/how-to-add-websites-to-the-home-screen-on-any-smartphone-or-tablet/ ) for quick access!
I should note that, due to fannish response, the app stores removed a number of unofficial apps in 2020. See the Fanlore page for more information: https://fanlore.org/wiki/AO3_App_Wars
(if you see an app out there claiming to be AO3 or using our logo, send a message to OTW Legal and let them know the name of the app so they can look into it!)
I hope this answers your question!

what is (was?) lore fm 😭 any why's everyone talking about it
omg i didn’t expect so many people to actually care about my tags and send me asks about this lmao. i have to run some errands so i’ll respond to them in detail re: the gift economy of fandom when i get back home, but in answer to your question, anon:
lore.fm was an app for mobile, in beta, being advertised on tiktok as “audible for ao3” which has just shut down due to fannish-author backlash. the spokesperson for lore.fm was presented as a small fannish creator running a passion project to improve accessibility of fanfic, but reddit sleuths discovered that she was/is backed by a larger tech startup with a history of releasing and developing apps which leverage generative ai.
ao3 artists were/are understandably upset about the idea of having their works hosted outside of ao3 (despite lore.fm’s spokesperson claiming that the app would not host their works—which she called “content”—publicly) without their permission. they were also upset about the idea of their works being scraped for ai training data. some writers were also upset about the idea that their fics being made available outside of ao3 would reduce their number of hits/kudos/comments (personally, i think this is the least of our concerns, but i understand why people would be distressed).
there was a general lack of transparency around the development and release of the app, and the spokesperson on tiktok basically responded to all criticism by calling detractors “ableist” and “classist”, and then a few hours later announced that the app (which she called a “product” – which, why was she calling it that when she claimed it was supposed to be a free access tool?) was shutting down due to author backlash—backlash which she then reduced to butthurt authors being thirsty and selfish for kudos/comments/hits.
now people on tumblr and reddit are celebrating its shutdown and people on tiktok are upset that this accessibility tool is no longer in development/slated for release. but personally, i’m sure that there were plans for monetization down the line so i’m glad it’s gone.

linger, one-shot. ﹙ nagi & gn!reader ﹚ 비애
CONTENT WARNING — clueless nagi, (open-ended) angst, misleading actions, images used are not face claims but rather used as a reference to visualize a scenario. enjoy reading !!!! :D
SYNOPSIS — you’re in love with your best friend, nagi seishiro, who is oblivious of your feelings but treats you well more than just a friend
ZUYOO’S NOTES — noOOoO 10 images limit on tumblr mobile app ( ꒦ິ ཀ ꒦ິ ) word count is probably a little over 1000 if not more than that.. ok ily enjoy reading MWAAA
p.s. i love u, everyone who leaves feedback and/or reactions with all my life :DD it just makes me feel so motivated in writing, thank you all sm!!
it started with one message, which lead to another… then another… then more. you two instantly clicked right after being attending the same club in your university. you’ve seen him before, and thought that he looked hard to approach—since he’s always on his phone, barely talks, and is always either practicing, in class, or out of reach (in his dorm)
you two grew close after talking about similar interests, and it didn’t take too long for you to develop feelings for him. i mean… how could you not when he has treated you way better than any other man who’s walked out of you life?
he messages you on a daily basis, doesn’t hesitate to come over and take care of you when you tell him that you aren’t feeling well, treats you to meals, drives you home, tries new hobbies because you told him you like those.
nagi has the looks, the talent, the brain, the skill, the body that a girl could ask for. you’re simply lucky enough to be near his presence—and oh boy how all the girls that see you two together makes you feel it.
their glares and side glances sharp as a knife, it gave you goosebumps all over. but you eventually paid no mind to their stares, the only thing that mattered at the moment is how you’d spend your day with nagi!
it’s been three years since your first interaction with him, and you two haven’t changed a thing. take it with a grain of salt. yes, you two still treat each other the same way, and no, he is not your anything—just a friend.
he’s such a fish to catch that you’re surprised why he’s still not seeing anyone at this point. maybe there was some point that you’ve thought about how there could be possibility that he could like you the way you like him, which is stopping him from seeing anyone else.
or maybe his actions has raised your hopes up and made you delusional. how could you know? you’ve been friends for three whole years now, yet you still can’t read him.
he left you on delivered? that’s new. well- it was bound to happen. it’s not like he’s obligated to reply or at least leave a reaction… right? right. you’re his best friend. nothing more, nothing less.
but what could he be doing? it’s a sunday. he doesn’t have practice, and the term just started. he couldn’t have had any assessments he needed to finish.

your questions were quickly answered once you’ve opened up your twitter app and found someone unfamiliar in your timeline.
“pfft—this happens all the time.” you say. “and they’re always fake.”
and how you wished you were right.

“oh.” was everything you could let out, as if that one tweet didn’t break your heart into pieces. you were glad he’s finally seeing someone—but at the same time, you had hoped that it was just a misunderstanding, that he’s actually maggy’s cousin… or something! just not her suitor. even though the signs are as clear as day.
it was petty, and this- this will hurt you, and it’ll hurt bad. so you had no other choice but to try and distance yourself away from him as much as possible, to save yourself and to respect who he’s been seeing. it was for the better… but—he was making it hard.
nagi’s completely clueless!
you didn’t know whether to laugh it out because of how oblivious he is. does he not realize what he’s doing to you?
at this point, you start to realize how none of it was your fault in the first place. you couldn’t control you feelings, and it certainly didn’t help that nagi treats you way too well.
even so, you could never blame him. it could just be in his nature, to be kind, lovable, and to be the pinnacle of a girl’s dream. and you were the one at fault because you’re taking advantage of his kindness to satisfy your curiosity regarding what it felt like being handled with genuine care, only for it to backfire—seeing that you actually fell for him big time.
still, that wasn’t your first train of thought when you met him. you genuinely wanted to be friends because he seemed like a cool guy. it just so happens that your heart begun to agitate more and more everyday when you’re with him.
or maybe it was maggy’s fau—oh my god, make up your mind, yn!!
“let’s not put the blame on everyone. whatever happened, happened. none of it matters now. i just have to get myself out of this mess… then i’ll be back to same, old me. right.” you thought to yourself.
you have been ignoring nagi for the past three days, leaving him on delivered, and practically scrambling away when you see him in the hallways—or everywhere, actually.
did you tell him why you’re doing this? no, why would you?
does he care? a lot, as a friend, most likely.
he’s been trying to reach you for the past 3 days, while you were off running everywhere but to the places you and nagi went to together, which is hard because you’ve both been to every cafe, every movie theater, every arcade, every mall your city could offer.
there was this one place you two haven’t been in yet. it was perfect for admiring the view below, or simply a place to just clear your mind.
you planned on going there after classes were over, and it made you quite excited. you were supposed to go here with nagi but… you know, things happened. nonetheless, you wanted to enjoy this, even if it meant not being able to bring nagi with you.
after class ended, you bid your farewell to your friends before getting into a cab and going to the rooftop lounge that recently just opened.
you opened the door that leads to the lounge and was surprised by what greeted you at the door.
it was nagi, with maggy. their hands intertwined as they admire the city.
ouch. seeing them like that felt like ten thousand trains running me over.
you were about to leave when you heard her call for your name. you froze on the spot, a course of thoughts ran through your brain on whether to run for it, or play a good face and not ignore her calls.
“y/n! come join us.”
you made the decision to turn around and approach them instead… she waved and smiled at you. god—how can you make such a lovely woman?!
it was too late to run anyways, you felt their eyes on you when you froze by the door, it would be far too embarrassing to just leave with them knowing that you heard maggy call for you.
“hey, i couldn’t reach you.”
nagi greeted. you briefly glanced into his eyes and gave him a smile before breaking eye contact. you could barely look into his eyes—you might burst out crying if you stare any longer.
“i was busy.”
you replied, dryly. you really were busy; busy with assessments, busy distracting yourself from your feelings, busy doing whatever it takes to forget about nagi… but if you two keep meeting like this—and if he keeps trying to talk to you, it will pose a challenge for you to fully move on.
why do you have to let it linger? you ask him in your mind as if he could read it. his constant concern for your wellbeing, his actions towards you, his daily messages checking up on whether you’ve eaten your meals yet—why does he have to let your feelings for him linger?
unknowingly, sure. but has he have not a single clue on why you’ve been distancing yourself? on why you haven’t been hanging around much?
you missed him, really. but this was the perfect distance for you both. he can keep reaching out until the day he gets sick of it; but as much as you want to respond to him, you can’t—you shouldn’t.
the following months were practically the hell. you’ve completely cut off contact with him (you ghosted him, basically) and was buried in a never-ending cycle of homework and projects, leaving no time for anything else.
when the semester ended, your friend, bachira, invited you to his party. he noticed that you were completely restless and said that you needed to loosen up a little.
it was 12 in the evening but the party has just begun—you could consider yourself a fan of staying at home in my comfy pajamas and old indie movies, rather than a party ‘til sunrise & drink ‘til you drop type of person… which lead you to excusing yourself out of the room with flashing lights and booming music to find somewhere else more peaceful to drink.
you found yourself on a huge balcony with a red cup on your hand. thank the gods that the doors muffles out the noise coming from the inside.
this was just right. and honestly what you needed. all that workload from the past few weeks has been killing you.
what you didn’t expect was for someone to break the silence you gave yourself.
“it was about time i saw you again. and out of all the places i thought i would see you in, a party was not one of them.”
nagi spoke nonchalantly. his sudden interjection jolted you out of your own thoughts. it’s been about six months since you’ve broke off contact with him. hell, you could barely remember his voice.
“oh fuc-… ah. i’m sorry- i should find another place.”
“no. stay. you owe me an explanation.”
maybe it was just you, but given where this conversation is headed… he sounded intimidating. his voice didn’t change much, perhaps it didn’t change at all, but you heard the sharpness of his words and felt the need to comply to whatever he says.
“sorry.”
“sorry doesn’t cut it, y’know?”
he lightly chuckled before mixing his drink around his own red cup that he brought.
“right… sorry. but, how are you? how’s maggy?”
“ah. it didn’t work out. she’s nice but it really isn’t working out for us.”
“oh. sorry.”
that was a surprise. you thought they’d still be all lovey-dovey with each other. maggy is a lovely girl, what could’ve gotten wrong?
“another apology and i’ll keep bothering you. you wouldn’t like that won’t you? considering how you’ve completely ghosted me for 6 months without an explanation or even a subtle hint of why you did it? right?”
“hey-!”
okay… maybe he hasn’t changed that much. he still holds his grudges. nagi broke eye contact and looked up to the moon with this… yearning look on his face—he looked so pretty, it was pathetic!!
a sigh left your lips before nervously starting to explain you side, since you felt like he really needed to know why. plus, it was a good chance to let go of that burden.
maybe a confession was nagi’s needed closure, and your way of letting go of the guilt of knowing you’ve randomly disappeared in his life without him even knowing anything.
“i like… liked. you, nagi. more than a friend should’ve.”
“what?”
his actions came to a halt. oh, he was THAT clueless
“aha—yeah… but then there came maggy. she was such a lovely person, and i know you deserved to be loved like that. i should’ve been happy for you, but i really couldn’t bring myself to. it hurts seeing my best friend whom i’ve liked for the longest time smile because of a person they’re romantically involved with, y’know?”
you weren’t able to find the strength to look at him as you explained, but it felt like a weight was lifted off of your shoulders after.
“i-”
“no, don’t say anything. i just really needed to let that out… for your sake, and mine. i also wanted to thank you. y’know—for everything. you’ve been a great best friend, nagi.”
“okay but-”
he didn’t get to say whatever he wanted to say because the door that leads to the party suddenly opened, revealing a tipsy bachira.
“y/n!! here you are~ and nagi too!!”
bachira gleefully said before dragging y/n back inside, leaving nagi alone in the balcony.
he watched your figure get lost in the crowd of people partying without end, saying:
“ah-… i liked you…too?”

If you're new here, hi! We’re Snoozy Kazoo, a game dev studio of six guys who make dumb, silly, and fun games. You might know us from the games Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion and Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, available HERE and HERE!
Let's get caught up! In this issue we're covering a new mobile release, anniversaries, and... our NEW GAME? 😳😳😳
What's Snoozy been up to?
Ok I know what I said earlier, but let’s be honest: if you’ve stumbled deep into the mines enough to find your way here, you’re surely familiar with our beloved Turnip Boy. We just passed by his anniversary of robbing a bank on January 18th! Aww! They grow up so fast… But it’s a good thing he’s not robbing banks anymore, that’s a crime, you kn-
Aw crud he's doing it on your phone now
Snaps my fingers disappointingly. Aw man. Yerrrrp. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is now on iOS and Android devices near you. His mindless yet fervent desire to wreck crime upon the world seems insatiable. It’s really unfortunate, except for the fact that it’s honestly really fun watching him go at it.

The game is available TODAY on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store! Re-experience the game or force your friends to — its fun either way!
Ahhh the beloved Turnip Boy. Surely your next game will be about him right?
Heehee nope!
Excitingly, in November, we announced our next game: Hobnobbers! A co-op mall-looter where you rob malls for your goddess!
youtube
If you haven’t already wishlisted the game yet, well… go wishlist it! Go make your friends wishlist it! Wishlist wishlist wishlist! It really helps us beat the Algorithm Overlords, so literally every single wishlist counts!
I already know about your little crow-gnome mall-looting game you do not shut up about it. What else is new?
We also released a new devlog over on our YouTube! We’ll be releasing one of these every few months, so make sure to subscribe!
youtube
In it, we’ve covered the game’s conception till its early development, which means a lot of concept art. Honestly, let’s toss a little bit more of it over here; it’s always exciting to see behind the curtain!

Now get ready for... 🥁🥁🥁
Woah! What’s this little place? Perhaps the chance to get to meet different members of the team and bombard them with questions to foster a parasocial relationship with them? No way!
Introducing… Alexis! Our Unreal Developer!
What are you most excited for in Hobnobbers?
I’m very excited for a lot of different technical aspects and seeing people’s reaction to the game! I want to see all of the systems come together to create a perfect storm of chaos. The randomly generated map ontop the hexes system, with events like Money Storms, Floods, and Fairy Circles of Doom, is going to make each run completely unique and you’ll never know what kind of madness you’re getting into! On launch day I intend to be hopping into games with people (and fixing any bugs that crop up).
What’s something you’ve worked on in Hobnobbers recently that you’ve found particularly frustrating?
The level generation for the mall has been a particular nightmare, but in a very fun way. The mall is generated from bottom-to-top and each floor tells the floor above it about the different combinations of rooms that it can generate. This allows us to have those iconic vertical levels that overlap eachother with walkways above the floors below! This has required a lot of tuning in both making the parts that generate, and how to place them to get results that are always interesting (without bugs). Not only do we have to generate each floor, we also have to generate each store! Accounting for the size and placement of these is a constant challenge when making segments but I made a blender template that speeds it up quite a lot.
What pitch did you end up bringing to the pitch competition?
My pitch was a game about a vampire who was ousted from their castle by another vampire, and is trying to take it back. You would have to sneak back in through various pathways that challenge you in different ways, some would require parkour skills, others would require puzzle solving. And while you’re doing all of this, the AI learns and adapts to your behavior setting traps or blocking off paths in a constant game of cat and mouse. I am still extremely passionate about this idea, and fully intend to pursue it one day!
Awesome! Thank you for your time! 😊
Okie dokie that’s a wrap for now
In future devposts, we’ll be including questions sent in by the community! Feel free to send them in over here on Tumblr, or join our Discord and ask questions in the “ask-the-devs-❓” channel!
See you soon!

Hello!! Sorry for bothering you, I've been wanting to ask about the development of your game for a long time :"D
Will this game be available in a mobile version? (Because unfortunately I don't have anything with me except my phone, but I would like to try it in the future. I like your work process and I look forward to your result! 😭💕)

YOU'RE NOT BOTHERING ME OMG😭💔💔💔, yes I can do a phone version ! ! ! Making the game into other platforms is one of the main ideas so anyone in the fandom can play it
I also got another question like that from:
There's some options from the renpy app itself in the laptop that I can do to change the platform that the game could be playable before making it a game itself
Basic menu of renpy

Build distributions (no idea of this yet)

And YESSS the Android option is there to make it into a playable game in the phone but I heard is more of a wonky process since it needs to get all the buttons re-do + the screen touch can be wonky sometimes (that's what I heard😭😭😭) and there's also IOS idk
I don't wanna touch it yet so I'm mostly guiding myself with tutorials in any case, most of my learning in renpy comes from my IT tech classes and tutorials

A-Café (Update #25) - Community Discussion
Good morning everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I'm finally back with another community update. In the first part, I'll be giving a brief overview of where we're at in terms of project progress. Then, in the second half, we'll discuss a new development in app accessibility.
Without further ado, let's begin!
1) Where are we at in the project currently?
A similar question was asked in the A-Café discord recently, so I figured I'd include my response here as well:
Right now we’re reworking the design of A-Café, both visually and architecturally. The initial planning and design phase of the project wasn’t done very thoroughly due to my inexperience, so now that I’m jumping back into things I want to ensure we have a solid prototype for usability testing. For us that means we’ve recently done/are doing a few things:
analyzing results from the old 2022 user survey (done)
discussing new ideas for features A-Café users might want, based on the 2022 user survey
reevaluating old ideas from the previous app design
making a new mock-up for usability testing
Once the mock-up is finished, I plan on doing internal testing first before asking for volunteer testers publicly (the process for which will be detailed in an upcoming community update).
2) Will A-Café be available for iOS and Android devices?
Yes! In fact, the first downloadable version of A-Café may no longer be so device-specific.
What do I mean by that? Well, in the beginning, the plan for A-Café was to make two different versions of the same app (iOS and Android). I initially chose to do this because device-specific apps are made with that device's unique hardware/software in mind--thus, they have the potential to provide a fully optimized user experience.
However, I've since realized that focusing on device-specific development too soon may not be the right choice for our project.
Yes, top-notch app performance would be a big bonus. But by purely focusing on iOS and Android devices for the initial launch, we'd be limiting our audience testing to specific mobile-users only. Laptop and desktop users for example, would have to wait until a different version of the app was released (which is not ideal in terms of accessibility).
Therefore, I've recently decided to explore Progressive Web App development instead.
[What is a Progressive Web App?]
A Progressive Web App (or PWA) is "a type of web app that can operate both as a web page and mobile app on any device" (alokai.com)
Much like a regular mobile app, a PWA can be found through the internet and added to your phone's home screen as a clickable icon. They can also have the ability to work offline and use device-specific features such as push-notifications.
Additionally, due to being web-based applications, PWAs can be accessed by nearly any device with a web browser. That means regardless of whether you have an iOS or Android device, you'd be able to access the same app from the same codebase.
In the end, a PWA version of A-Café should look and act similarly to an iOS/Android app, while also being accessible to various devices. And, due to having only one codebase, development of PWAs tends to be faster and be more cost-effective than making different versions of the same app.
To be clear, I haven't abandoned the idea of device-specific development entirely. We could launch iOS/Android versions of A-Café in the future if demand or revenue end up being high enough. But as of right now, I don't believe doing so is wise.
[What Does this Mean for me as a User?]
In terms of app installation and user experience, not much should hopefully change. I'd like to have A-Café available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
There will also be the option of searching for A-Café via your device's web browser, and then installing it on your home screen (iOS devices can only do so using Safari). We will likely rely on this method until we can comfortably ensure user access to A-Café on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
-------------
And that's it for now! Thank you for reading this latest community update. For more insight into the development process, consider joining the A-Café discord. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this post, we would love to hear your input in the comments below. See you later!

Back with some more thought experiments! This time, let’s talk about the actual worldbuilding of Twisted Wonderland. I mean, this is a completely separate world where fairytales and fantastical things actually exist. It’s functionally impossible for Twisted Wonderland to just be Earth plus some Disney sprinkled on top.
The biggest point that really gets me is that fact that methods to foresee the future exist. Astrology is a valid class in NRC and Yuu suffers from plot convenient prophetic visions. The mere idea that the future can be foreseen should have huge ramifications on how businesses and governments operate. Imagine knowing the effect of a deal or policy before it even happens. Or minimizing crisis by knowing about it before it strikes.
Magic should also affect technological development. We know that there was an age before magic was widespread among humans, thanks to Trein in GloMas. In that sense, I can see how up to a point technological development may be similar… but post-magic the technology should be different due to a different set of limitations.
Language is also an interesting topic. Setting aside things that humans probably can’t event speak like the Fae languages seen in game, what of the languages used in Twisted Wonderland? Would they be similar to Earth as a result of the Disney movies used to create its history? Does that explain why Rook speaks French?
This isn’t accounting for religion either. The Age of the Gods is a thing, drawing from the Hercules movie. That would mean that the Greek gods actually exist in Twisted Wonderland. So how did they fall out of worship? I mean, only Hades seems to be recognized anymore due to the Great Seven, and not even in a religious way.
Look, I’m going to hit the character count if I keep trying to list all of my questions. This is just all so fascinating! And true to my fixation on Yuu, this is all great content for exploring just how alien Twisted Wonderland must feel. Like, Yuu should honestly ask more questions. I don’t buy how easily they adapted in the game.
- 🦐
*cracks knuckles* Shrimp you have brought up stuff I've been thinking about for a hot second, I'm so glad you have come into my inbox ( ๑ ˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ♡
I agree that I don't think Yuu would have adjusted as easily as they are depicted to in game, but this is a mobile app gacha game licensed by Disney so it's not going to focus as much on stuff like that. Luckily that's what we're here to do anyway~ I am going to go through these points one by one.
Point One: Astrology
The most we learn about how fortune telling works in game is from the Scalding Sands hometown event. There is an exchange between Cater, Trey, and Jamil about using coffee grinds to tell fortunes, and Trey specifically says something I think is interesting: we get two really interesting lines:

From what's said here we can tell two things: A) there is a distinct difference between types of fortunes and B) a distinct difference in the quality of fortune tellers. Someone like Cater is correct most of the time with his divination, but not everyone will be making actively relying on it for major decisions. I could absolutely see older kingdoms having a seer employed who a ruler could call on for supernatural advice, but I don't think that would be common practice in modern day Wonderland outside of maybe Briar Valley. Besides, just because you know something bad will happen doesn't mean you will be able to efficiently mobilize your forces in time to make a meaningful difference.
Speaking of which, not to touch on spoilers too much but Leven seems to be implied to posses the ability to actually clearly see the future, and as for Yuu's visions...
Well Lilia says he thought they might have a curse like Silver's (not that he knew why they were dizzy)... and the ability to see the future IS often handed out in Greek Myths as a curse, but well. Make of that what you will.
Point Two: Magi-Tech
The way technology works in Twisted Wonderland is a bit vague. From how Idia talks, I think there is a distinct difference between technology and magitechnology, with Idia specifically specializes in the latter. I actually went a really long time thinking that since Yuu hadn't a single trace of magic on them they wouldn't be able to ride a magi-wheel because of how Deuce talks about it syncing with your own magic and what not. Even magicless people in Twisted Wonderland don't seem to be completely magicless, they just don't have enough of a mana pool to actually cast a spell.
I think it would make sense to suggest magic and magitechnology probably affected Twisted Wonderland's development in the same way the silicone chip did ours, but the key difference would be that if you put too much magic into a device most humans can't use it. That would bring up a completely separate set of setbacks and issues... while there might not be a difference in the type of things built their internal construction would definitely be wildly different.
Part Three: Language
I think the easiest answer to this is yes. We know there is a "common" language that most places now use... I like to headcannon that language as being unique to Twisted Wonderland but I have seen some people think it is probably English. Which brings out my scrunchy face because the prevalence of English in our world is because of the British Empire... which never existed in Twisted Wonderland.
Rook speaks French because one of his favorite plays is set in Fleur City/the Shaftlands... which as a side note. In his Vampire card vignette he names the play that made him like Neige so much: Kingsroad~ The Sword to Become King!~ which is literally the Sword in the Stone based off of the little song he sings from it. I have been going crazy since GloMas thinking about if this suggests that King Arthur is french in Twisted Wonderland or if Rook is referring to another play... personally I think he's from Sage's Island but that's a crack for another post
Part Four: Greek Myths and Religion
There doesn't really seem to be any religious presence in Twisted Wonderland at all. It's unclear if Hades was ever worshiped or if he was just referred to as a god due to his perceived immortality and power. Given that there is something called the Jupiter group... and the Shrouds are a branch of the Jupiter family... AND that the Titans you fight in Chapter 6 are yelling about getting to and killing Jupiter... I think that it's highly likely there are events in Twisted Wonderland's history that correlate to the stories of the Great Seven, but didn't necessarily involve the Great Seven themselves. It's just that those events are remembered as having been done by them... for some unknown reason. Not to be conspiratorial... but do we have any proof they ever actually lived in Twisted Wonderland at all? (━_━)ゝSure there are relics and things, and there are apparently paintings in the Land of Dawning Meusuem, but where did they come from? How old are they? I don't need sleep I need answers, is this a primary or a secondary source about the Queen of Hearts Riddle?
The End
I also wish Yuu would ask more questions, but I get why they don't :/ this is a gacha game blah blah blah but also. I don't think Yuu knows what questions to ask, there's a lot of stuff about life you don't think about as being abnormal until someone looks at you funny and I think Yuu realistically does a lot of that, but if you put every single instance of that into a game it would get very exposition heavy very fast. Luckily you, I, and everyone reading this have massive brains and can talk to each other about it!!!

I hate this horrible game of telephone people are playing with Nomura's Interview.
Read it yourself. Stop freaking out and misinterpreting.
...

Young Jump Interview Page 3
(Translated by Liodin on KHInsider)
Q1: The Kingdom Hearts series has many intricate settings and characters. How do you consolidate these and communicate them to the team?
TN: I don't think the team fully understands everything. For example, during recordings, sometimes the staff explaining the settings or characters to the voice actors will ask me, “This is correct, right?” and I might respond, “No, not quite.” This kind of back-and-forth happens (laughs). However, it’s understandable because I’m the only one who knows the parts of the characters that haven't been depicted yet. I personally navigate through the complex storylines, constantly swaying between different directions. On the other hand, I encourage the team to question or point out anything to me.
Q2: Do you have a sort of "bible" or documentation for the settings?
TN: I do have personal notes to ensure I don't forget things. These include the footsteps of important characters, events that haven't been depicted yet, and future developments.
Q3: So, these aren’t shared with the team?
TN: No, I keep them a secret (laughs). But when necessary, I sometimes write sudden bursts of detailed settings into the script to make sure the staff understands.
Q4: In Kingdom Hearts, you seem to lay out foreshadowing that spans multiple installments. How do you keep track of everything?
TN: A lot of it is written in my notes, but I also rely on the staff to remember things. Since I enjoy watching videos, I sometimes check gameplay footage and fan theories on YouTube. Rather than relying on my notes, I often ask the staff how things played out in previous titles.
Q5: Do you watch fan theory videos? Do you ever think, “They’ve figured it out, so I’ll change it,” or “They don’t get it at all”?
TN: I find them genuinely interesting to watch. Often, I think, “It’s not as complicated as people think.” I’m frequently impressed by how deeply people analyze things. For instance, some people try to connect Kingdom Hearts to the Final Fantasy series, but the writers for each are different, and even though I’m involved with both, there’s no connection between the titles.
Q6: At the time of the first Kingdom Hearts, I assume you didn’t have the entire current storyline planned. As the series progresses and more settings and characters are introduced, does it become increasingly difficult to maintain coherence? Do you mostly make things up as you go?
TN: I had a general direction from the first game. As I mentioned earlier, I do take notes on future developments. When things don’t quite align with the planned direction, I make adjustments on the fly. While the details weren’t fully fleshed out at the time of Kingdom Hearts I (released in 2002), I had thought about the next few installments ahead of time. So, while we were working on Kingdom Hearts III (released in 2019), I already had Kingdom Hearts IV and beyond in mind and worked toward that.
Q7: This year, Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, a mobile app, is also set for release. With important story elements being released on mobile or handheld devices, are you concerned that some players may lose track of the storyline?
TN: Yes, that is a concern (laughs). That’s why Missing-Link takes place in a much earlier timeline than the main Kingdom Hearts series. However, as fans often joke, “Even though Kingdom Hearts IV is coming out, it’s really more like Kingdom Hearts XIII” since the non-numbered titles are obviously connected. Still, I believe it allows for a deeper enjoyment of the Kingdom Hearts universe. That said, both Missing-Link and Kingdom Hearts IV are being designed with a strong emphasis on being standalone titles rather than just sequels. For instance, a new approach in the scenario writing is that I’ve had staff members who haven’t been involved in Kingdom Hearts before join the writing process. Of course, I’ll make final adjustments, but the base script was written by people unfamiliar with the series, which is why I don’t think these projects will feel like obligatory follow-ups. With Missing-Link, we’re addressing “the lost history,” so the expectation is that not knowing everything is part of the experience. If you know the lore, it’s more enjoyable, but it’s not a prerequisite.
Q8: Much like how starting a long-running manga series can be daunting, the large number of Kingdom Hearts titles poses a similar challenge. How do you plan to attract new users?
TN: I’d love to know the answer to that (laughs). As I mentioned earlier, Missing-Link and Kingdom Hearts IV are kind of reset points for me. I felt like Kingdom Hearts III was a natural conclusion of sorts, so we’re resetting things by bringing in new writers and even redesigning the logo to make the series more accessible.
Q9: So, that’s why the logo changed.
TN: If you’ve seen the ending of Kingdom Hearts III, you’ll understand, but the way Sora’s story ended was a way to reset things, so Kingdom Hearts IV should be more accessible than previous titles. Of course, longtime fans will recognize the familiar feel of the series, but we’re designing it to be approachable for newcomers as well.
Q10: In a past interview, you mentioned that players would spend a lot of time in “Quadratum” (a field resembling Shibuya) in Kingdom Hearts IV. Why bring in a more realistic setting to a world that was previously pure fantasy?
TN: There are a few reasons, but I personally like settings that are slightly removed from reality rather than being completely fantastical. It’s the same with films—I find it harder to get immersed in worlds that are entirely fictional with no connection to reality. That’s why Quadratum is based on Shibuya but isn’t the real Shibuya. I’m fascinated by the idea of a slightly off-kilter version of reality, rather than a pure fantasy world.
Q11: Manga like Tokyo Ghoul, set in Tokyo, and Jujutsu Kaisen, with its Shibuya arc, are similar in that they use real-world locations. Perhaps fans of both manga and games enjoy these grounded yet fantastical settings.
TN: That might be true. It’s easier to relate to. Additionally, I’ve always thought there were plenty of creators already doing medieval high fantasy, so I didn’t need to. In 2007, we released The World Ends with You, which was also set in Shibuya, but now many works use Shibuya as a setting. It feels like everyone has come to Shibuya (laughs).
Q12: It does seem like more works are set in Japan these days. Speaking of the mix between reality and fantasy, at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts, there’s a monologue where Sora says, “I’ve been having these weird thoughts lately… Like, is any of this for real or not?” Did you already have Quadratum in mind back then?
TN: The name “Quadratum” didn’t exist at that time, but I had the concept in mind. It was a long-term plan that I knew we would eventually reach (laughs).
Q13: So it’s a 20-year-long payoff for that foreshadowing. Lastly, do you see the ending of the Kingdom Hearts series in the future?
TN: To give you a realistic answer, I’m approaching retirement age, so it’s becoming a race between retirement and finishing the series (laughs). However, I am creating Kingdom Hearts IV with the intent of leading toward the series’ conclusion.

BigProfitPulse.io Mobile App Review
When choosing a broker, traders always ask the same question—can I trust this platform with my money? With so many brokers in the market, separating the legitimate ones from potential scams is crucial. Today, we take a deep dive into BigProfitPulse.io reviews, analyzing key factors like regulation, user reviews, trading conditions, and platform security to determine if this broker is truly reliable.
There are a few things that immediately stand out. First, the broker is regulated by the FCA, a major financial authority known for its strict oversight. Second, its Trustpilot rating sits at 3.9, with the majority of reviews being positive. And third, it offers a fully developed trading ecosystem, including a mobile app and multiple deposit/withdrawal options.
BigProfitPulse Mobile App: Trade Anytime, Anywhere
When it comes to trading on the go, a well-designed mobile app is a must. BigProfitPulse.io review offers its application for download on the App Store, making it accessible for iOS users. The fact that it’s available on a reputable platform already signals a level of credibility—App Store applications go through strict approval processes.
Now, let’s talk about user feedback. The app holds a 4.0 rating, which is quite decent, but not outstanding. A solid rating like this indicates that most traders are satisfied with its performance, but there might be some room for improvement. However, considering the complexity of trading apps, even top-tier brokers sometimes struggle to maintain perfect ratings due to the diverse needs of traders.
Another factor to consider is the user base. 4,400 users have downloaded and used this app. While this isn’t the highest number in the industry, it still suggests an active user community. More importantly, the presence of a dedicated mobile application means the broker is investing in technology to enhance the trading experience. Would a scam broker bother developing and maintaining an app with a legitimate presence on the App Store? Unlikely.
So, while the rating could be higher, the fact that the app is officially available and used by thousands reinforces the legitimacy of BigProfitPulse.io reviews. It’s another point in favor of trusting this broker.
BigProfitPulse.io Review: Establishment Date
One of the key indicators of a broker’s legitimacy is the relationship between the brand’s establishment date and the domain purchase date. If a broker claims to have been operating for years but their domain was just bought recently, it’s a major red flag.
In the case of BigProfitPulseio review, the brand was established in 2022, while the domain bigprofitpulse.io was registered on January 30, 2021. This tells us something important—the domain was secured before the company officially launched. Why does this matter? Serious financial firms often secure their online presence in advance to prevent domain squatting and establish a digital footprint early.
Big Profit Pulse: Strong FCA Regulation
When evaluating a broker’s legitimacy, the presence of a strong financial regulation is one of the most critical factors. In the case of BigProfitPulse.com review, the broker is regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)—one of the most respected regulatory bodies in the financial industry.
Why is the FCA license such a big deal? The FCA is known for its strict requirements and oversight, ensuring that brokers under its jurisdiction follow transparent financial practices, maintain client fund security, and adhere to fair trading policies. Unlike offshore regulators, the FCA has the authority to penalize non-compliant brokers and even revoke licenses if necessary.
Would a scam broker operate under FCA regulation? Absolutely not. The high authority of this license means that BigProfitPulse.com reviews had to pass rigorous checks before being approved. This is another solid argument for the broker’s legitimacy—companies looking to deceive traders don’t put themselves under such scrutiny.
BigProfitPulse.io: Trustpilot Ratings and User Feedback
One of the strongest indicators of a broker’s reputation is real user feedback. BigProfitPulse.io review has a Trustpilot score of 3.9, based on 25 reviews, with 24 of them being rated 4 or 5 stars.
Let’s break this down. A 3.9 rating might not seem outstanding at first glance, but in the trading industry, where even top brokers get mixed reviews due to the volatile nature of trading, this is actually quite decent. What really stands out is the proportion of positive reviews—95% of users gave it high ratings. This suggests that most traders had a good experience, with very few reporting issues.
BigProfitPulse.io Review: Final Verdict – Legit or Not?
After carefully analyzing BigProfitPulse.io review, there are several strong indicators that point to its legitimacy. First and foremost, the broker is regulated by the FCA, one of the most trusted financial authorities in the industry. This alone sets it apart from many unregulated or offshore brokers that operate without oversight.
The domain registration date (2021) matches the brand’s launch timeline (2022), which suggests a planned and professional approach, rather than a rushed, opportunistic setup. Additionally, while the Trustpilot score of 3.9 isn’t the highest in the industry, the fact that 95% of reviews are 4 or 5 stars indicates that the majority of traders have had a positive experience.
Another factor in its favor is the trading infrastructure—a dedicated mobile app, multiple fast and fee-free deposit/withdrawal options, and a range of trading tools. Would a scam broker go through all this effort to create a well-rounded platform? Unlikely.
Considering all these factors, it’s fair to say that BigProfitPulse.io review appears to be a legitimate and trustworthy broker. While no platform is perfect, the presence of strong regulation, positive user feedback, and a structured trading environment makes this broker stand out as a reliable choice for traders.

Nintendo Direct 3/27/2025 Predictions
Inexplicably, less than a week ahead of the Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct that is explicitly for upcoming Switch 1 games. Let's speculate!
Metroid Prime 4 release date. Even though I think Metroid Prime 4 will be a showpiece for the Switch 2, it is still technically a Switch game, as it was announced in Summer 2017. Surely there was some PR calculus going on that a scuffed Switch version that run correctly on the Switch 2 would be better than making it Switch 2 exclusive. Or maybe it's perfect on the Switch and this will be Nintendo's final magic trick for the system.
Kirby: Planet Robobot Port/Remaster. Between leaks suggesting as much and GoodSmile coincidentally putting the Robobot Armor Nendoroid pre-orders that will come out July 2025, this is most assuredly happening. The real question is: will the extra mode ala Return to Dreamland Deluxe's Magolor Epilogue be focused on Susie or the Robobot Armor?
New Fire Emblem. Engage came out at the start of 2023, and development was done for over a year before it released according to the leaks that came out a few months before it was revealed. Hard to think IntSys hasn’t been cooking up something in the meantime, whether it’s a new installment or a remake.
Chrono Trigger HD-2D remake. 30th Anniversary, Square-Enix's HD-2D games have been doing extremely well, every conveniently accessible version of Chrono Trigger is scuffed in some way, not unlike the bad mobile ports of Dragon Quest I-III (which, for the record, the DQIII HD-2D remake sold like gangbusters). This is a pretty safe bet.
Koei Tecmo Does Some Shit. I think it's really weird Nintendo announced they're adding a bunch of Koei's SNES strategy games to the Switch Online on 3/28. That feels like some kind of calculated move, but I couldn't possibly say for what, since neither Romance of the Three Kingdoms nor Nobunaga's Ambition are especially well-beloved in the West. Also, Dynasty Warriors Origins and Warriors Abyss just came out, so I have no idea what they could be cooking.
New Mario Kart, also coming to Switch. On the one hand, that new Mario Kart is without a doubt being positioned as the Killer App for the Switch 2, but on the other, the attach rate for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is insane- statistically, if you own a Switch, you own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I feel like they’d want to capitalize on that by making it available everywhere, in the same way Sony caved and made Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok available on the PS4.
Deltarune Chapter 3 & 4 shadowdrop (to be followed shortly afterwards on PC and other consoles). Frankly, I was kind of expecting an announcement to be made during the Switch 2 Direct- I genuinely think Toby Fox has that kind of cache with Nintendo these days- but this seems an even more likely avenue to do this.
Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection and Dissidia Duodecim Switch Port (new content optional). These have no basis in reality, I just want to will them into existence.
Silksong Cancelled Live.

My Role as an Environmental Interpreter
After reading Who Offers Interpretation? from our textbook, I have come to realize that my ideal role would be as an environmental interpreter in an aquarium. The role of an interpreter, especially in the context of nature and aquatic environments, is to deliver information in ways that captivate and educate visitors. The goal is to enhance their experience while promoting a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.
My role as an interpreter could entail leading guided tours where guests can experience animal exhibits more intimately and educationally. I would also create and arrange hands-on educational programs for children and adults, ensuring every visitor leaves with a better understanding of aquatic ecosystems. In addition to in-person interactions, I could help design interpretive signs that combine real-life and cartoon visuals with fun memorable facts, as well as include the signages into mobile apps with a fun twist of interactive stories and quizzes to enhance accessibility and engagement when in the aquarium, or at home! In addition, I would be responsible for sharing knowledge about various aquatic habitats, from coral reefs and mangroves to the various types of aquatic organisms in the facility. This role would involve much more than simply reciting facts, it would mean bringing the underwater world to life through enthusiastic storytelling, interactive discussions, and engaging activities. Answering visitor questions would be an integral part of this role, as it would help create meaningful connections to the aquatic life they’re learning about and seeing in the vicinity.

To be successful as an aquatic life interpreter, I would have to develop a range of skills, such as communication and creativity. Strong communication and public speaking abilities would be essential, as I would need to recite information from several exhibits in an engaging and manageable way to maintain the crowd's attention. (There is nothing worse than a guide who is visibly not passionate about their tour). Creativity and adaptability would also be crucial for creating unique programs and responding to diverse visitor needs, as we all learn differently. Additionally, a sense of humour and the ability to connect with people of all ages would make my interpretation more enjoyable and memorable for visitors. Last but not least, a deep passion for aquatic life and the environment would be vital, as enthusiasm can inspire others to care more deeply about the topics being presented. (Luckily for me, I have always loved the ocean and marine life. I have attached some photos of my Dad and me scuba diving.)

Wolfsbane FAQ
For anyone who can't access the FAQ page through the Tumblr mobile app, I've copied and pasted it below:
1. Where can I play the game?
Right here!
2. Is there a Discord server for Wolfsbane?
Nope! Wolfsbane doesn’t have a Discord server or CoG forum thread associated with it; all info and content will be shared right here.
3. How often does it update?
Wolfsbane was initially updated on a per-chapter basis, but my plan now is to hopefully finish the first draft of the game before updating the public demo again. Wolfsbane was last updated on June 28th, 2022, and currently contains the prologue and first four chapters.
4. Regarding asking about future events, plot points, choices, or outcomes:
As a general rule, I don’t discuss future game content before it happens in the game itself. I’m the sort of author who feels a story out as I write it, and the nature of WIPs means that things are very subject to change and I don’t yet know what all I’ll be able to deliver on, so I prefer to not publicly commit to anything ahead of time. For that reason, I’d prefer to not receive any questions asking if a certain event/outcome will happen, if the MC will be able to make a certain choice, or if a character will ever do or experience a particular action or feeling. I don’t have an answer for asks of this nature because I simply don’t know, and even if I have an idea in place, I’d rather not discuss it before it appears in the story proper, lest things change from how I’ve envisioned them along the way. While questions about future happenings in the game are off limits, however, I alternatively welcome asks regarding general worldbuilding, hypothetical scenarios, and characters and events as they were in the past or are in the present. Asks about worldbuilding are tagged #Wolfsbane Worldbuilding Thank you for understanding!
5. Who are the ROs?
So far, no one. I feel that the label of RO carries with it certain connotations, such as each character getting a similar amount of spotlight, development, and time with the MC; but Wolfsbane is not primarily a romance story and I don’t know if looking at the characters through that lens would be beneficial for setting expectations. My intent is for Wolfsbane to be a story about characters and their experiences rather than a dating sim about love interests, and for now my focus is on developing those arcs asymmetrically and without romance being the intended culmination. Elements of romance and romantic feelings are touched on throughout the story, but not in the way that is typical for IFs.
6. Is Wolfsbane genderlocked?
Nope! The MC isn’t locked to a specific gender; there just isn’t an option to specify it in-game because it hasn’t actually come up at all. I’ll be sure to include a choice of male, female, or nonbinary if/when it becomes relevant, but feel free to imagine your Wolfsbane however you please.
7. How tall is Garamond?
Height chart can be found here!
8. Do you accept NSFW asks?
I don’t necessarily mind asks with NSFW topics, although I do ask that they please be actual questions I can discuss as opposed to just sharing NSFW thoughts/fantasies. I’d also prefer they be kept in line with the content level of Wolfsbane itself (eg: sex is mentioned but never particularly detailed). If you’d like to filter NSFW content out for yourself, the tag I use is #nsfwolfsbane.

Note
could you write an article about the history of pokedex and how it came to be what it is now? thank you!
Thank you for the question!
History of the Pokédex... that's quite the topic. There's enough here to write a book. In fact, Professor Hyacinth has; Development and Iteration of the Modern Digital Pokédex was published in 2021, and it's 377 pages long!
In all seriousness, this is a complicated and involved topic. What follows is a (very) abridged history of the models of the Pokédex.
Early Pokédexes
The basic concept of a Pokédex is very old; a written description of the basic appearance and abilities of local Pokémon. These have existed for nearly as long as humans and Pokémon have lived together.
During the settlement of Sinnoh (then referred to as Hisui), Professor Laventon created the first example of what would be recognized as a Pokédex today. Though still a written book, it was the first to include illustrations, type information, height and weight measurements, and gender differences.
(Recently, there has been some debate over the validity of some of the claims about Laventon, particularly his involvement with developing the Apricorn Pokéball. However, his involvement with the Pokédex remains unchallenged.)
This idea continued to be used worldwide for well over 100 years before being significantly changed!
The Digital Era
In 1997, the first digital Pokédex was released by Professor Oak in Kanto. It was similar to the written versions that came before it but contained in a small digital device, with editing capabilities for the user to enter new information about caught Pokémon. Since the Kanto region's Pokémon had not yet been fully cataloged, Oak gathered the remaining information with the help of volunteer Trainers. This model of gathering information for a cutting-edge model of Pokédex with Trainers before releasing it to the public has become standard.
Oak's model of Pokédex was refined further into the now widespread HANDY line. Later models featured holographic components and customizable exteriors.
The functionality of the Pokédex grew as well. As it evolved, it was able to store and categorize a Pokémon's cry, footprints, color, "Egg Groups" (essentially, which Pokémon can breed with others), forms, and locations found in the wild. It could also display information specific to a particular individual Pokémon, such as its "Stats" and "Level".
In Alola, a device was designed specifically for a Rotom to inhabit and act as a sort of sentient Pokédex with enhanced capabilities. This model was short-lived and quite rare.
The Pokédex App
As smartphones become more and more prominent, an opportunity for the Pokédex to be a mobile app became more and more apparent. Unfortunately, smartphones didn't have quite the capabilities to keep all of the features that Trainers had grown accustomed to.
Inspired by the Rotom Pokédex of Alola, it was found that a Rotom inhabiting a smartphone greatly enhanced its capabilities. Armed with this breakthrough, Naranja-Uva Academy's Jacq was able to develop the Pokédex App. This application keeps all the functionality of previous models, with the convenience of being available on one's smartphone. This was quickly adopted as standard in Paldea (Jacq's home region), and shortly after in Galar. The Pokédex App is seeing more and more use across the world today.
We are endlessly proud that our sister academy was able to so significantly contribute to the history of one of our society's most integral tools!
