my bsd x wof au basic info
BSD characters and which Wings Of Fire tribe i think they’d belong to, and maybe some rambles about it.
In this au, the NightWing tribe and the island represents the mafia and the NightWing tribe and the rainforest are seperate. The rainforest kind of represents the agency (kind of!! Not much!!) in a way. Not all mafia members live on the volcano island,  and some characters have more info than others
This is NOT gonna be all characters <333
Chuuya - SkyWing. Orange SkyWing. And hear me out. Firescales, like corruption. And SkyWing scientists have ‘discovered’ a way for him to ‘turn’ it on and off, kinda like Peril’s book but it's with a phrase spoken. More about this in Dazai’s. But building off the scientists, they didn’t really do anything but test and experiment about the firescales soooooo. Building off that, he wasn’t actually a firescales at birth. He looked like one, with the bright orange scales and blue eyes, but he wasn’t. Scientists saw this and abducted him, cursed him with animus magic to turn him into a firescales, and then ran experiments (I’m aware that SkyWings don’t have animus dragons, so to stay true to the series the animus who cursed Chuuya was part of a different tribe. this Dragon name: Storm (picked this out before i knew about Stormbringer aha)
Dazai: NightWing. Mind Reader. Animus. Was formerly apart of the Night Kingdom and the mafia, but ran away to live in the rainforest. When leaving said island, he cast a spell on himself to be immune to all animus spells, cancel out any spells, and also to reverse the effects of madness and instability using his magic had caused on his soul(idk if this is technically possible in the series but who cares its my au), as well as no longer having animus power (like jerboa in the 14th, but only on him). This allows him to cancel out the effects of Chuuya’s firescales, effectively rendering him a ‘normal’ SkyWing once more. Blames Ango for the death of his best friend, Oda.
Oda: NightWing. Seer. Based on his ability. Died on the mainland after being caught in a battle with an IceWing. Was searching for an animus touched object(probably the obsidian mirror) Ango asked him to find
Ango: NightWing. Blames himself for Oda’s death. Ran away after Oda died.
Kyouka: RainWing. Following the plots of the series, was one of the RainWings abducted by the NightWing(in this case, the mafia) and trained to be an assassin.
Tanizaki- RainWing. Since RainWings can camouflage themselves, I was thinking haha this is perfect for his ability in which he can make himself invisible! Pretty gentle, except when Naomi is threatened (think mangrove and orchid except violent..)
Atsushi - IceWing. Being raised away from the tribe, he didn’t learn all the legends about NightWings, so he doesn’t hate them. Was raised on the outskirts of the Ice Kingdom before being left for dead, distrustful of IceWings due to his past!
Akutagawa - NightWing. Like most NightWings, has a grudge against IceWings (cough cough Atsushi). Instead of being raised in the night kingdom, he was raised on the volcanic island (I have ideas for that…) and it severely affected his health.
Mori - NightWing. Not really much to say.
Ranpo - SandWing. Backstory and shit is all the same but replace people with dragons. I do wanna build off of this though.
Fukuzawa - IceWing. Was originally an assassin in the scorpion den before meeting Ranpo and deciding to mentor to lead the younger, inexperienced dragonet and ended up unofficially adopting him (dadzawa i will die on this hill)
Kenji - MudWing. No questions asked. MudWing.
Jouno - I SEE HIM AS A SEAWING IDK WHY
Tecchou - MudWing or SeaWing I CANT DECIDE.
Teruko - RainWing. Hear me out, everyone thinks she is defenseless and nice and typical RainWing nonsense, but shes like Glory and will not hesitate to use her venom.
please please ask me questions about this

Coppertalon Night/Mud
My sister won this on reddit and gifted it too me
He/Him
Coppertalon was an odd dragonet born on the nightwing island. His fire was weaker then most and only got stronger when he was hot. He was missing the silver stars on his wings which his mother refered to as a birth defect. And he enjoyed rolling in the mud making him the victim of much bullying when his peers found out. He also felt different from the other nightwings but didn't know why in till his mother pulled him after she saw that he was being called disgusting for the mud incident aside and explained that he was infact half mudwing too his surprise and horror. From there he he everything to hide this fact from his peers and felt disgusted with himself as he was taught that mudwings were lazy, stupid fat dragons who did nothing useful.
But rumors started to spread and soon he was being pulled aside by Morrowseer himself. Morrowseer declared that the tribe didn't need an lazy impure dragonet and order another dragon to kill him as his birth was "an embarrassment to the tribe" He managed to defeat his attacker and realized he only managed to do so due to his mudwing strength. From there he was allowed to live but was exiled from the island not even being allowed to say goodbye to his mother or his few friends. He was told if he showed his face on the island or near any pure blooded nightwing again they would kill him.
From there at age 4 he was taken to the mainland by 2 guards and dumped onto skywing territory. He visited the mud kingdom to try to find his father but soon was shot down as mudwings don't do fathers. After the Mudwings realized that he was alone they allowed him to move into the village out of pity.
He lived in the small mudwing village for a few years before a troop of Mudwing nobles visited and attempted to hire him as a prophet. He didn't actually have any powers but he still agreed to the job where he created fake prophecies and was showered in gold for it. Eventually he was fired because all of his prophecies were either really vague or clearly things that were obviously going to happen. He angrily pretended to forsee the noble's death and flew off. He didn't return to the village that took him in instead he flew too a small Skywing village and declared that he forsaw great trouble that that could be prevented if they gave in an offering of gold for his service. After that worked surprisingly well he became a bit of a con-artist with his base being in that Mudwing village that took in him. Fake prophecies and visions made him rich.
When news of the Nightwings moving to rainforest came to him he returned deciding to face his fear of Morrowseer. He returned to find a resentful bunch a ex-friends. Who were told that he went to live with his Mudwing father on the mainland by Morrowseer. His mother has vanished from the night kingdom years ago. He realized he had nothing in the rainforest and left to track her down.
He found her a year later in Possibility. He had just vanished one night and no dragon knew what happened to him but after months assumed he was dead somewhere on the island. The two have a falling out as Copper guiltyly realizes that he did nothing to reunite with her untill last year. He was far too scared to return to the island and simply moved on with her life thinking that she was better off without a hybrid for a son.
Years later as real Nightwing prophets and mind-readers were born Copper was exposed as a fraud and many angry dragons attempt to hunt him down. As created a small following of dragons who practically worshipped him and gave tribute.
He is currently hiding out with his mother in Possibility and hasn't told of her his crimes yet.
He is insecure of his status a hybrid and hides it from most dragons. He has a scar on his throat from his attempted execution. He tended to lash out at others being quite an angry violent dragon before his exile and in the earlier days of his exile. However after being invited into the mudwing village he calmed down realizing that mudwings were nothing like what he was taught by the nightwings and that had nothing to be ashamed off. He is greedy and treasure hungry scamming hundreds of dragons with fake prophecies for a large amount of gold. He is often demanding and rude with a sense of superiority. Not to mention a really good actor. He also is secretive and untrusting.

Albatross, Animus Dragons and Preventable Tragedies
(Also Known as: This tragedy was not inevitable, let's talk about responsibility)
(CWs: Murder, Abuse)
So, Legends Darkstalker as a book has a lot of thoughts about fate and inevitability. Clearsight and Darkstalker try and fail to create an ideal future for the both of them, Fathom is scared that he can't prevent his animus magic from destroying is soul, and the readers know how all of this is going to end since Legends Darkstalker is a prequel to Arc 2.
In the midst of all this talk about inevitability and fate we have...Albatross. Someone who we've known about since Arc 1 and know how his story ends. He causes the Royal Seawing Massacre, his magic allegedly "driving him insane." What's interesting about Albatross is that when you really look at his life, this historical version of it falls short in many ways. The retelling of his life leave out important context, and notably, scrub any idea that someone or multiple someones might have caused him to act like this.
It's Albatross' fault in the end, it's his fault for losing control, his fault for being "insane."
But if we take an actual look at the story in Legends Darkstalker you find that this really isn't the case.
Albatross found out he was an animus in a very...unpleasant way. He enchanted a shell to bite the claws off his sister, Sapphire. This event was deeply traumatic and would stick with Albatross for his entire life. You might be wondering why Albatross didn't fix Sapphire's claws considering his powers and I'll get to one of the reasons in a bit since it's very important to what I'm trying to say, but @/kinkajouwof breaks it down over here.
In short, most likely the reason why Albatross didn't fix it at the start is due to uncertainty if he really Could do it and because Albatross and Sapphire were terrified.
The reason more important to my point though is that Lagoon Actively Benefited from this fear. When Lagoon became Queen she would hold this action over Albatross whenever he was unwilling to do things to guilt him into following what she wanted him to do.
"This is a waste of time, Lagoon," he said. "Nobody ever tested me, but we figured out quickly enough what I could do. If any of them have a shred of power, surely they would of known by now. Or it will become obvious, sooner or later." "I'd prefer sooner," the queen said silkily. "If we find another animus in the tribe, that would make us twice as powerful, which would be quite useful given how the Mudwings and Rainwings have been behaving lately. And the earlier we find her, the sooner you can start to train her, and the sooner I can start to use her." "Besides," she added in a lower voice, so Fathom had to strain to hear her, "I think we would all prefer to discover our next animus in a less...dramatic fashion than you were discovered. Don't you?" Albatross flinched, just slightly. He cast a skeptical eye across the young. "My power is more than enough for whatever you need. I've given you everything you've asked for, haven't I? And I don't want an apprentice."
Afterwards Lagoon commands Albatross to start the test but you can see what I mean. Lagoon actively threatens Albatross and Exploits Him, and wants to find Other Animus Dragons to Exploit. He is not just a Subject to Lagoon, he is an Object to Lagoon. Non-sexual objectification.
She plans to do the same thing to another animus, Lagoon's rule was built on Exploiting the powers of the people she could Control. She wants to find them young so she could mold them into the tools she wanted them to be earlier. She wants to condition them to treat themselves as objects Now.
This treatment comes to a head during the banquet. Where Lagoon once again holds what happened to Sapphire over his head, while also threatening to Replace Him.
"Here is our first animus," Queen Lagoon said to the Skywings, who seemed to have figured that out themselves, judging by the looks of terror on their faces. "My brother, Albatross. We were just talking this morning about what his next project should be. I'm thinking big this time. Something that makes me invulnerable, perhaps. Or something that kills any dragon who might be a threat to me." Beyond Albatross, over the couches, Splash stiffened, and Fathom saw her crush one of the hibiscus blossoms between her claws. He glanced around and saw his father put a wing around Manta, who had gone pale. "Yes," Albatross said. "Although you recall I wasn't exactly enthused about any of those ideas." "Then it's lucky you're not my only animus dragon," Queen Lagoon said coldly. Fathom felt a shiver all the way down to the tip of his tail. If she asked him to do a spell like that, would he? Would he obey his queen and put his own mother in danger? Or disobey her, and perhaps put everyone he cared about in even worse danger? What would she do to Indigo If I ever said no to her? Albatross stopped right in front of the queen, snout-to-snout with her. Fathom couldn't read his face. He looked as though he'd been carved from stone, any emotions chipped away. "Do you think you're done?" Queen Lagoon said to him softly. "Do you think you'll ever be done atoning for what you did to Sapphire? It's not going to end Albatross. You'll always be mine."
This is a bit of a blunder on Lagoon's part since Albatross Kills her! She's revealed that she is Never going to let him go, that no matter how hard he works he's never going to escape. No matter what he does he will be an Object to her. Fight, Flight or Freeze, stay here and be worked to death killing hundreds of people or Escape Now.
And Albatross...chose Fight.
Note that Albatross literally says right here that he doesn't Want to make Lagoon Invulnerable, he doesn't Want to give her the power to kill people.
When he starts killing other people it's not because he became ax-crazy. He killed the Queen, no matter how horrible and cruel she was their all going to defend her...and they've never thought about him. They've never cared for him. To them he was also an Object.
So...he kills them too.
Now I'm not saying He should of killed all those people, murder is bad actually. But this is a Consequence of Lagoon and the rest of Seawing society's actions. This is the direct, real, bloody consequence of treating a person like an object designed to serve their every whim.
This wasn't something he was doomed to be, this is something that has a tangible cause and effect. The system and the way it treated him is What Caused This.
Except, none of the Seawings who survived Want to face that. They don't Want to accept responsibility for that. Why should they accept the responsibility and guilt of having lead one of their own to believe that murder was the only way to escape a truly horrific and abusive situation...when they have a perfectly convenient scapegoat. Remember...Albatross is an object. Lagoon died, not because she perpetuating a horrible abusive situation that her society allowed her to do due to the absolute power she was given, but because she handled Albatross Improperly. Animus magic is just a dangerous thing, and the people who can use it are dangerous tools. This isn't Their Fault for treating a person like an object, it's the fault of improper usage of a tool.
It's a more convenient story for everyone...except for Fathom who proceeds to be treated horribly and drown himself in guilt and shame for being Dangerous.
Seawing Society caused something horrible and instead of trying to fix it, turned their backs and pretended they did nothing wrong. When we see Anemone their doing the Exact Same Thing to her. She is an object, a weapon of war, and she will be treated as such. Anemone believes she's doomed to become evil and almost Kills her family out of the belief that she is doomed to become a mass murderer.
Albatross' Massacre was preventable, and that's what makes it tragic.

Wof tribe headcanons made by me!
Mudwings
They have multiple sets of spines on their backs, similar to crocodiles, alligators, and gharials! I think they'd be distinguished for different mudwings by royalty, with royal dragons having 5 rows of spines and non-royals having 3.
Example of spines:
Tumblr media
Seawings
Seawings have distinct tail shapes and patterns, most likely based on different species of fish or sharks. To name a few examples, angel fish, clown fish, thresher sharks, and tiger sharks. This includes them having fish, shark, and dolphin tails.
The edges of their wings are smooth and rounded in order to glide through currents and to have better mobility while swimming, similar to the light fury's wings from how to train your dragon. They are less acquainted with flying due to this.
Example of wing shape:
Tumblr media
Nightwings:
A mind-reader's silver scales can vary in shape and number, the most common amount of scales next to their eyes being between 1 and 3, though they can have as many as 5 or 6. This depends on how strong their powers are, and there can be an increase in number as their powers get stronger.
All nightwings have very faint patterns similar to a panther on their main scales.
Example of pattern:
Tumblr media
Rainwings
A rainwing's frill can vary in size and number of points, the common number being 3-5. Their frill raises when they're angry or in a defensive pose, similar to the Jurassic Park adaptation of the dilophosaurus.
Example of frill, less exaggerated for rainwings:
Tumblr media
Icewings
The spines on an icewing's back are an indication of age. They are born with little to no spines, and as they mature, more grow in over time. An ancient icewings, though rarely living that long, have manes of spines that trail down to their chests, giving them an intimidating look.
Their blood varies in shades of blue, bluish green, and purple.
Skywings
The wingspan of a skywing's wing is twice the length of it's body. This gives them excellent mobility, but also makes them bigger targets in the air.
In rare cases, firescaled skywing's can have the ability to "turn off" their firescales at will. This is never spoken of because the skywing tribe did not want any possibility of hope for the firescaled bloodlines.
Sandwings
A sandwing tail barb can vary in size and shape, some shapes being more efficient with their abilities than others.
Many sandwings have the patterns of common desert animals, such as the cheetah, hyena, jackal, or addax.
Example of patterns:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leafwings
Leafwings are distinguished by the leaf shapes on their tail, spines, and wings. These shapes vary by the types of leaves they resemble.
Their scales turn different shades with the passing seasons. This helps them camouflage into the trees when they turn different colors. When the leaves of their trees fall during autumn and winter, the scales of the leafwings' turn dark shades of brown to blend in with tree bark and the dirt.
Going off of that theory about the winter season, leafwings tend to create burrows underground during winter and hibernate until spring because the tree leaves they live in are not around during this time.
Hivewings
Many hivewings need glasses because their vision is quite poor for dragon standards. This is because their sight is similar to that of a bee's.
The wings of a hivewings are quite thin. Though they are strong when flying from hive to hive, they do not hold well during severe storms.
Silkwings
Silkwings have a prehensile tail, quite like rainwings. They use it to hang from trees and other structures during their metamorphosis.
When a silkwing emerges from its cocoon, their wings need time to dry, just like butterflies and moths. If this process is not done correctly, the wings will suffer permanent damage.

[Wings of Fire] Detailed LGBTQ Headcanons (Arc 1 & 2 Protagonists)
Hey, everyone! Entering a queer contest today by posting this. I genuinely think I have some kind of obsession about giving characters lgbtq headcanons and thinking about LGBTQ+ identities in general. It's a lot of fun for me though sometimes because it helps me think about my identity more and makes me want to learn more about the community.
I hope these are intruiging to you all because I do have fun creating these. Also, if you're gonna hate, just don't please. I do this for fun and if you hate it, your not gonna get any more joy by engaging with it.
Also note for the characters who I HC having pronouns that are different from canon, I often default to the canon pronouns for the reader's sake, but I still try to fit some of my HC'd ones in there. Just in case anyone notices that I'm only using one or two sets, I'm not trying to ignore the others.
Clay
nonbinary (he/they), gay, aromantic, demisexual
Clay is transmasc nonbinary (so like FTM but I guess it would be FTNB). The dragonets didn't get many scrolls about gender identity because the guardians never saw it as crucial (I don't want there to be transphobia in this world so it wasn't because they were transphobic). Clay didn't transition until recently before arc 1 took place, maybe within that year. I HC that female MudWings are more likely to be bigwings and that they are larger than their other siblings, so Clay is unusually large for a male MudWing which surprises a lot of dragons. He doesn't have a preference for which pronouns you use, if you just use he/him or just they/them, it's both fine to them. They also previously identified as a transgender man, but later realized that they also feel like they are not entirely a man.
Because Clay rarely experiences much attraction at all, he never realized he was gay until after they escaped the mountain. His first crush was on Jambu in the rainforest kingdom. He thought Jambu was handsome, but didn't realize it was actually any kind of attraction for a while. Clay knew Jambu was older so he never saw being with Jambu as a possibility (1. He was dating Pineapple and 2. It was just more like a crush you'd have on a friend's hot older brother (literally)).
I HC that MudWings are commonly aro-spec so they rarely have romantic relationships. This could range from demiromantic to fully aromantic, which I HC Clay. This is because their connection to their siblings is so strong that they couldn't have a stronger emotional connection with any other dragon. This is the case for Clay with the other dragonets of destiny. They could never believe that there is another dragon they could love more than his found family.
I don't HC Clay as completely aroace which I know is popular. Although I do think he still rarely feels attraction, they do feel some attraction to other dragons.
Tsunami
bigender (she/they), bi, asexual, ambiamorous
Tsunami is MTB (male to bigender). She transitioned when she was much younger, maybe around 2 or 3 years old. She is very large, just slightly smaller than Clay due to them being a bigwings. Tsunami is definitely butch. Before they identified as bigender, she also tried identifying as genderfluid and nonbinary, but she realized that she felt most comfortable with the bigender label.
Tsunami has always been fiercely independent. When she was a young dragonet and dreaming about being queen of the SeaWings, she couldn't imagine herself with a king by her side, despite the SeaWings of all tribes always typically having kings. For a while in her youth, this made Tsunami question if she were lesbian, however, after escaping the mountain and seeing her friends have relationships with other dragons, she realized it's just not for her and that she's never felt that way about other dragons before.
Glory
agender (she/they), aroace
I HC that Glory has always felt a disconnect with gender. When she was younger, she also felt disconnected with her tribe. She would read scrolls about RainWings and not see herself in them, so she believed that she was alienated in that way. Although she would later in life accept herself as a RainWing and be proud of her tribe, she still felt a disconnect to the identity the guardians and the other dragonets of destiny saw them as when she was a young dragonet. She is MTA (male to agender, idk if these versions of the acronym exist but I'm using them anyway). They transitioned at around the same age as Tsunami, but they didn't transition at the same time. They previously identified as a transgender woman before they and the other dragonets learned about identities such as agender.
For much of her dragonethood, Glory believed that she never felt attracted to other dragons. Of course, during the time she was under the mountain, there weren't a whole lot of dragons to have feelings for, but she still felt that she was unusual. She believed that she was aroace for a while. She was previously in a relationship with Deathbringer for political purposes, but after they had a daughter (an heir), they broke up. It wasn't until Glory and Liana grew closer as friends did she realize that she had a romantic connection to her. This made Glory realize that she was able to be attracted to other dragons, but she didn't experience sexual attraction and it took her developing a bond with other dragons before that bond could be romantic. Glory and Liana eventually broke up, but Glory then started identifying as lesbian.
Starflight
transgender man (he/him), gay, asexual, demiromantic
Starflight is FTM. He transitioned when he was 4 years old. Whenever he read fantasy scrolls, he always found himself envious of the male protagonists. One is Comet, from the Tales of the NightWings.
Starflight knew he was gay for a long time. He had crushes on male dragons in scrolls, including Comet and Mindhealer (they were his gay awakening). Before she transitioned, Starflight also had a small crush on Glory. This crush ended before Glory transitioned, as it was only fleeting. He later had a crush on Deathbringer, also fleeting, almost like a celebrity crush.
Starflight knew he was asexual for a while, back before he left the mountain. He also doesn't feel romantic attraction often, and even when he does, it is often weak. Fatespeaker is the only dragon he's felt a strong romantic attraction to.
Sunny
nonbinary (she/they/he/sun/sol), aroace, lesbian
Sunny didn't transition until after leaving the mountain. Because they rarely learned about gender identity, Sunny didn't learn about pronouns that weren't the standard he, she, or they set until they stayed in the Rainforest Kingdom. There, she learned from some RainWings about nounself pronouns and she discovered that using them for themself made them feel more comfortable in her identity. Different tribes have different sets of nounself pronouns that are more common, typically relating to the tribe. Sun and sol pronouns, which can be applied to SandWings, are also used by RainWings sometimes due to their connection to the sun when they are napping.
Sunny always felt like she had never experienced romantic or sexual attraction. She has always seen herself as too busy saving the world to have time to have a relationship with another dragon. It took a long time for Sunny to realize that she could be attracted to other dragons in that way, but, sexually and romantically, the feelings were scarce and not that strong. This made Sunny believe that she was aroace, but not fully, just on the lower end of experiencing either form of attraction. Although she is not with any dragon right now, she does see herself being able to be in a relationship with another dragon and identifies as lesbian.
Moonwatcher
nonbinary (she/they/he), bi, asexual, polyamorous
While Moon spent a lot of her childhood in the rainforest, she never felt the gender norms that dragons who knew up surrounded by their tribes felt. When the NightWings eventually came to the rainforest, she got to read scrolls that described gender identity and Moon understood that they didn't belong in the standard gender binary that other dragons felt. They don't really care much about pronouns and they don't have a preference for which ones other dragons use, although she usually just goes by she/her, they/them, and he/him.
Moonwatcher didn't experience attraction for a long time due to their isolation, so it took until he went to Jade Mountain Academy for him to have crushes on other dragons. They quickly understood that they are attracted to girls and boys. Although Moon considers himself to have a preference for women.
Moonwatcher also identifies as polyamorous. They have found that they have been attracted to multiple dragons at once and desired to have a relationship with both of them at the same time. Despite this, he is currently only in a relationship with one dragon.
Winter
transgender man (he/him), gay, asexual, demiromantic
Winter is FTM and transitioned when he was around 3 years old. His parents were disappointed when he came out to them, not because they were transphobic, but because they were upset that he wouldn't be able to challenge for the throne, although neither had much confidence that he'd be able to anyway. Despite this, they accepted his identity (because transphobia is stupid) and he never felt like him being transgender made his life worse. Before he realized he was trans, he felt like he wasn't meant to ever have a role as a princess or queen, which were distinctly different from being a prince.
Winter identified as gay after he transitioned. He had fleeting crushes on some IceWing boys his age when he lived in the palace, but they were fleeting and never went anywhere.
Winter does not experience attraction often. He does not experience any sexual attraction, and the romantic attraction he feels is often not very strong. In the palace, he didn't have very close relationships with many other dragons so when he went to Jade Mountain, he actually developed close relationships with other dragons and found that that made his romantic attraction stronger to them.
Peril
transgender woman (she/her/they/sun), lesbian, aro-spec
Peril is MTF and transitioned when she was around 4 years old. She always felt gender envy when she saw the strong and fast female SkyWing soldiers in training and desired to be like them. When she came out to Scarlet, she was accepted immediately (because no transphobia and honestly Scarlet respects women a lot more than men imo so if Peril tells her she is truly a woman, Scarlet is all for that). After Peril became a permanent student at JMA, Sunny taught her about nounself pronouns and Peril felt that her identity as a firescales had a lot to do with her true self, and she adopted sun/sunself pronouns due to that connection. She doesn't mind which of her pronouns dragons use for her.
Peril didn't realize that they were a lesbian until the dragonets of destiny were held prisoner in the palace. Her crush on Clay was comp-het, due to her feeling frustrated with sunself that she never felt attracted to any dragon, which was mostly due to her never having any close connection to any other dragon. Before the dragonets of destiny escaped, she did think that Glory was the most beautiful dragon she had ever seen, and she would say that she had a small crush on Glory. It was after this that she realized they were lesbian.
One of the reasons why it took so long for Peril to have a crush is because she is on the aromantic spectrum. Due to her never really developing any healthy close connections with other dragons for a long time and always assuming that other dragons hate her, she never had the mindset that another dragon could be attracted to her, so she never had feelings for other dragons. Although Peril has found other dragons attractive physically and sexually, she never experienced romantic attraction until she's known them for a good amount of time and their relationship is on good terms.
Turtle
nonbinary (they/he/any), queer, aro-spec, polyamorous
As a dragonet, Turtle spent a lot of time in the palace libraries reading scrolls. He loved learning about psychology and read scrolls about gender identity. Turtle is FTNB, so Coral was delighted when he hatched, but he came out when he was 3 years old. Although this brought back Coral's problem of not having an heir, she still accepted Turtle (and then proceeded to completely forget about him because he changed his name so she forgot that Turtle is one who transitioned). Turtle was always super lax about their identity. They didn't like to use labels often, but identify as nonbinary, as they don't believe they fall anywhere on the gender binary. Similarly, Turtle doesn't really care what pronouns other dragons use for them. He has a preference for he/him and they/them, but they are fine with dragons using any pronouns.
Similarly, Turtle doesn't like to restrict his orientation to a well defined label. He is attracted to dragons of all genders and just says that he is queer. He has liked girl, boy, nonbinary, and otherwise genderqueer dragons. He does not have a preference for gender.
Although he is attracted to all sorts of dragons, he doesn't usually experience romantic attraction unless he knows them on a deeper level. He has only ever been attracted to a dragon romantically after he has gotten to know them enough.
Turtle is also polyamorous and can see himself being in a relationship with multiple dragons. Despite this, they are only dating one dragon at the moment.
Qibli
transgender man (he/him), aroace
There are a lot of transgender dragons in the Scorpion Den and Qibli looked up to several of them as a dragon. He is FTM and realized he was transgender when he was 4 years old, after Thorn had taken him in. When he came out, the Outclaws accepted him quickly.
Qibli always thought that he was bi for most of his life since he felt like he was attracted to boys and girls equally. After going to JMA and dating Moon, he realized that the descriptions he heard about sexual and romantic attraction didn't match anything he felt in their relationship. He just saw Moon as a close friend. This caused Qibli to consider that he is aroace. He and Moon eventually broke up and Qibli did try to see if he could have a crush on Winter, seeing him as the only dragon he could be attracted to if he did experience attraction. After he realized Winter is just a really close friend to him, Qibli started openly identifying as aroace.
(another note for anyone who made it to the end, this is really hard to post because I'm lowkey thinking about swapping Glory and Tsunami's orientations because I think I like Glory x Peril more but rn I have it as Tsunami x Peril, so we'll see)

do you have anyhthing you would liek to share about your deltarune wof au?
yes
while I'm rewriting everything as I go tho bc this is an old au. the gist is that everyone currently lives in a town somewhere in possibility which has now expanded and p much became the normal social space. kingdoms just kinda welted overtime as royals ran into succession issues. they still exist and are a fair size. some host possibility towns in dual control. but p much kingdoms kinda lost their original spark so they're kinda like modern day where yes royals exist but they're more for negotiations or showing off than really controlling everything anymore. less dragons together more lost draconian species come out. drakes replace humans in this au and are p much wingless almost powerless mutts of the tribes lost from the Scorching. Kris is a sea/rain mutt who washed up in a small town in possibility and taken in by the dreemurs so that's how that happened. this au kinda plays around with the myth that animus magic ties into a soul, the newly added soul stored in the heart locket to ensure that 'kris won't lose their mind by the time they are granted full magic' which ofc isn't even true bc animus magic doesn't afflict the user with insanity but many still believe in the myth that it does. this may change in future chapters but thats my reason for the soul or the reader would it be in this scenario? getting injected into kris.
ok mechanics time so dark worlds work as the same and are created by animus magic which is most often done by the correct animus touched knife. idk what to call it but its darkstalker type of 1 creator but lost between dragons overtime. though a knight could get a knife blessed to be able to do it again or an animus can enchant it theirselves. might go with this second explanation instead.
castle town is now a fully fleged kingdom of Dreams like the ol days where there is a Dream Palace and ralsei lives there still as a prince. I could use the 'only princesses can rule' thing as a reason why he's just a prince not a King here but eh idk. he has animus magic granted by the dark world. well he's made from it but he normally didn't have it then at one point he did yay. always was moonborn tho. twice actually. strong foresight yet just emotion sensing. Lancer is rain/mud and is tiny and Susie is his bigwings. susie is the bigwing of the entire fun gang actually, especially in ch3 and especially especially 4.
knight time knight time. they're undefined. an allwing but so dark and homogeneous that you can't tell where each tribe is. one look they're a nightwing but another they're a melanistic icewing? or maybe a dark mudwing. hard to tell. they're also an animus.
now snowgrave. so I imagine rudy as a skywing. carol an icewing of royal ancestry bc why not. so dess and noelle are sky/ice. both are more sky than ice too but dess is like sunny sandwing genes level of sky, you can barely see the ice. dess breathes fire and noelle barely got frostbreath and it's very weak. ruling the town dess was a sort of heir before it was passed onto noelle. yeah its kinda a royal system not really and maybe. royal crown, almost equally leveled by council members. bc heir noelle is cool.
so when noelle first enters the dw she clearly appears more icewingy. also her ice breath is significantly better. in sbowgrave the thorn ring might give her like icescales or frostscales. inverted firescales type deal and eventually all that built up ice makes a deadly freezing ice breath beam thingy and now berdly is a popsicle.
ok final thing maybe. tenna's are now like big physical challenge type interactable games like RainWing royal challenges. first everyone has to travel through an area do some minigames and reach a minigame stadium after that they do physical challenge. the challenges after are the same. the rainwing stuff is just in the boards. tenna is granted magic by the knight so is king and queen too.
ok acc last one ch 4 looks more like fallen seawing citadel bc that would be cool and fitting. gerson is sea mud bc parallel with susie being partially mud and undyne in the au is sea.

Bobby is an IceWing ^^
Roberto and Jubilee are probably both NightWings and Forge seems like a MudWing

wof scale color headcanons fuck canon yeahhh
All tribes under the cut if I did it right
NightWings - any hue as long as it's dark. NightWings consider darker scales to be prettier and pitch-black is seen as mysterious and aristocratic. The "silver" scales on the wings and trailing down the neck etc can be pastel colors or even iridescent. Some NightWings with distant SeaWing blood have glowing silver scales. Prophets also have a "third eye" silver scale, similar to mind reader's teardrops. Their scales have near invisible markings like panthers and black cats, such as stripes and rosettes. They also rust in the daylight like cats do!
SandWings can be a much wider range of sandy colors, from white to tan to yellow to brown to oranges and pinks even, orangey reds and some blacks. They tend to have patterns that are fractal-like or repeating rather than random splotches and such. The keratin on their stinger is the same color as their claws and horns. SandWings with more symmetrical patterns are considered prettier.
LeafWings typically come in greens, but also browns, golds, yellows, oranges, reds, and sometimes blues and even the rare purple. Like albino plants, albino LeafWings struggle to get nutrients as they can't produce chloroform, so if they don't have strong enough leafspeak they die pretty young. Summer born LeafWings have richer, more vibrant hues, autumnal ones are brighter and often have gold patches or patterns, winter makes scales cooler toned and duller colored, and spring makes lighter and shinier scales. LeafWings have a beauty standard of larger, healthier scales, regardless of color.
IceWings can be any off-white or silvery color, with slight darker markings and some vibrant cooler tones. Their scales have a natural shine, and lighter, even opalescent scales are the beauty standard. Commoners have brown and grey scales sometimes but these are definitely considered a mark of the poor. Another strived for marking is striations of any kind, especially those that are warm-toned or opalescent.
MudWings can be any brown, from deep red to planty green, light to dark and dull to vibrant. Potentially from proximity to SeaWings and distant blood, some MudWings have a "rusted" look of having warm base colors and markings fading to greens and blues. MudWings are the most common to be albino, leustic, piebald, or melanistic. Albino MudWings are white and pink, while leustics are white and yellowy- orange. They can also be shades of grey and occassionally black, and beauty standard is defined by the amount and appeal of the gold scales found on all MudWings.
SkyWings can be any warm color, typically red to orange, but also vibrant pink and magenta, rarely yellow, and even more rarely purple, usually only seen in the royal family. Brighter scales indicate more time outside and health, and though they can't be shiny or iridescent they love inlaying gems to create that effect. Blue scales are rumored to be a telltale sign of firescales, and though all firescales have blue scales, not all blue is firescales. Beauty standard prefers richer, darker colors, and watery or lighter shades are seen as weaker.
SeaWings can be So Many Colors. You usually find the blues and greens and sometimes pink and purples but the reef dwellers come in all the warmer colors. Interestingly, white and black markings are sparse and never the full dragon unless albino or melanistic. Piebald often results in pink or lavender marking, or even light cyan, and leustic SeaWings are known to be light blues and pinks. Vibrant, dark scales are preferred, and swirls are associated with power and royalty.
HiveWings all have some black scales, whether just a handful or nearly jet-black. Contrary to popular belief, Clearsight is not the sole reason for black scales; an interesting trait that started showing up after she arrived was pseudomelanism, a dominant trait causing all HiveWings to have black markings. Interestingly, albinism and leustism do not erase black scales, but albinism does soften them. Otherwise, HiveWings are typically warm toned, the general populace being yellow, orange and brown, red being an appealing color, and dark green being the rarest and most attractive. They can also being lighter tans and faded pinks, but the colors are looked down on.
SilkWings can be any color, and barring melanism, except black. Their patterns can change over their lifetime, gradually becoming more complex, vibrant, and appealing with age. All SilkWings are metallic or iridescent to some degree, except on the wing membrane. The wing membrane is either scaled and colorful (moth and butterfly) or translucent and shimmering (dragonfly). Circular, ring, or banded patterns are considered prettier and almost royal.
RainWings come in every color under the sun, yet never have shiny, iridescent, opalescent, or metallic scales. Individuals are recognized by resting patterns on theit scales such as circles, zigzags, splotches, or freckles than reflect secondary emotions or designs. Although they can replicate another's pattern quite accurately, the pattern they are born with lasts until death. In more competitive and regal places, RainWings are purple, pink, and yellow, and see showing emotion as weak.

I’ve got an idea for art but I’m struggling to find out what Xie Lian and a few others would be.
I’ve always been an avid reader of the Wings of Fire series and I am currently working on owning all of the books and graphic novels as they come out of course. So the idea I’ve had is what if I drew all the characters from TGCF as dragons from WoF?
One would think Hua Cheng would be a Nightwing,
Xie Lian is one I can’t think of. A Rainwing? Sandwing? Skywing? Silkwing? They all seem like good options,
Feng Xin I think could be a Mudwing,
Mu Qing might be an Icewing,
He Xuan would be a Seawing obviously but beause of Animus magic, he could disguise himself as a Mudwing ya know… Earth master,
Shi Qingxuan would be a Skywing,
Shi Wudu would be a Seawing,
Pei Ming would probably be Skywing,
Ling Wen would be a Nightwing,
Yin Yu would be a Nightwing,
Quan Yizhen would be a Sandwing,
Qi Rong stumps me a little too. He could be a Leafwing, the green. A Skywing, because he thinks he’s all that,
Guzi would probably be a Skywing dragonet,
Jun Wu could be a few things. Nightwing, Skywing, Hivewing. I’m leaning more towards Nightwing though for the reason of the volcano. Because of Animus magic he would be able to hide the scars and damaged wings,
Mei Nianqing would be a Nightwing. Seen as wise and intelligent perfect for a teacher,
Ban Yue would be a Sandwing,
Pei Xiu would probably be a Skywing,
Yushi Huang would be a Rainwing. Not because of the fact it’s a Rainwing but because they eat fruits and other things from the earth. It just made sense.
I might draw around and find out now.. that way I can see what I like the most for the characters and stuff…

The 🛖MudWing🐊 Monarch Backstory Post:
(Small note: Reader is the MudWing Monarch, named Platypus, there is mention of a plague, and descriptions of violently ill dragons and death, as well as themes of loneliness)
They never thought it would be this way. The crown rests upon their head, a small weight that grounds them. The room is cast in shadows, the gauzy curtains waving faintly in front of the window. It seems even the palace itself is in mourning. It was never supposed to be this way. It was never supposed to be them on the throne, the sole ruler of an entire tribe, all counting on them after the worst disaster since the Battle of the Delta thirty years prior. This might have been even worse...
A plague had swept through the MudWing tribe. It was fast, too fast. It went from dragon to dragon, spreading throughout their blood and poisoning them until it was too late to reverse it. Their doctors tried every trick, every remedy, anything to try to save who they could. But nothing worked. No one seemed to be spared. Entire troops of siblings killed within a week, clutches of eggs never to hatch, dragonets sick and weak in their huts, unable to move another inch. Not even the royal family was safe.
It was their unborn sibs who went first. The last clutch of eggs the queen ever laid, gone within a night, turned a shade of sickly gray... The next to go were their cousins, choking on the fluids that filled their lungs, drowning them within the week. And it kept spreading, even to their aunts and uncles, leaving them hacking up blood and shivering with fever. Not even their own sibs were spared. Platypus only had two, both tended to by them until they passed in the nights to come, wrapped in their wings and held until their final moments...
It left Platypus, and their mother, the queen, as the last two members of the MudWing Royal Family...
Yet even that wouldn't last...
Soon, the illness that had left their tribe to only a few thousand settled within their queen, reducing the once mighty MudWing queen to a frail, shivering dragon, barely holding on. She and Platypus were all that remained of the royal MudWing family; everyone else was gone, taken by the illness that had overrun their tribe. Platypus bonded with their mother over the last two weeks of her life, listening to stories of her younger days with her sibs, the victory they had at the Battle of the Delta against the SeaWings, the nights spent reading to her own sibs and their dragonets, even how she watched over Platypus and their sibs while they were only eggs, excited how they would turn out... But by the end of the fortnight, she too was gone... Leaving Platypus as the sole survivor of the royal family, and the only option for the tribe's monarch...
And here they were now, a month and a half later, sitting in their and their sibs' old room, reminiscing on what was now only a shadow of the past. The plague was finally gone, leaving the tribe to recover from the epidemic. The first month was spent having their tribe's doctors making vaccines and studying the plague, and Platypus trying to help the grieving MudWing families, offering extra food and supplies to those who needed it. The last few weeks, they've been appointing new advisors and guards for themself and the palace, hoping to give the struggling dragons jobs and provide a sense of purpose to those who might have lost theirs...
But, now... there was a small problem...
"Your Majesty," says an older dragon, who had entered the room. They looked around, puzzled for a minute, then realized which room it was. They dipped their head slightly, in a small bow. "Monarch Platypus, I am deeply sorry for your loss... The whole tribe is, and we thank you for taking care of us... But... we think we need to take care of you, too..."
Platypus raises their head to look at the dragon. They are bigger than them, an older dragon, possibly as old as their mother had been. Their eyes are kind, if not a little sad.
"What... what do you mean?" they ask, ruffling their wings. It soothes their anxiety, at least letting them pretend that their sibs, their cousins, any of their old family was there too, with a kind word or funny joke... They were truly lonely...
"Your Highness, we... your advisors, guards, and palace staff, believe it is best that you are not alone. Our doctors have proven that it is not healthy for us MudWings to be alone; that it's natural for us to live with sibs, to all act as though we are siblings, united by our ancestors and the Great MudWing of the Delta... You shouldn't be alone, especially so young..." They pause for a minute, letting out a small sigh. "Your Majesty, we think... we think perhaps we should find you a group of sibs, to be your new ones... Please don't take offense! What we mean, is... they also have lost some of their sibs, if not all of them, and we believe it would be healthy for you, and for them, to have another sibling to care for, another dragon to sleep with, to break bread with, to protect and be protected by... Please, Your Majesty, think it over... I'm sure this would be of great help to you..."
Platypus thinks it over for a moment. They don't want to replace their sibs, never! But... they could help other sibs, those who are just as alone as they are... Who need warm wings and blanket forts and a bounty of food... They... they don't want to forget their family, to push them aside... But... They need to be cared for, too. They're so lonely, overwhelmed by the weight of an entire kingdom relying on them threatening to drown them... They had hardly any friends, and those were all gone now...
It was not an easy choice, or one that left them dry-eyed, but... in the end...
"I... will do it..." Platypus responds. Their voice is soft, filled with a deep, solemn sadness. They stand, stretching their large wings out slowly, and walking over to their mother's old advisor. "Please bring me to the candidates." And in a whirl of brown and amber, they leave, the once warm room empty once more...

Okay this idea was inspired by this confession on the Wings of Fire confession blog
And this exchange between me and @cometmoons in the comments of that video
Tumblr media
The text reads(Okay but hear me out Starflight and/or Sunny getting the Nightwing Powers, just imagine the chaos it would add an extra layer on why Sunny believes in the prophecy so much because it's her prophecy but it would also add an extra detail on apparently not being able to keep a secret meanwhile she knows she's half Nightwing and she had known this fact since she hatched , Starflight like only knows cuz he's also a mind reader)
Tumblr media
The text reads (Yess!! This would be so cool, I think in general, we just need a fanfic with OP versions of the DoD. Like everyone gets the most powerful versions of any abilities they could have, mostly for chaos, partially for how funny it would be for them to realize it’s not normal to have all these abilities and they’re actually pretty rare.)
Tumblr media
The text reads (@cometmoons Okay yes but also what would Glories be because Starflight and Sunny would both have the Nightwing's powers Sunny would probably also be an animus tsunami would be the animus and clay already has the big special mudwing power what would glory be wait would they all be animism going being the first wing ring animus)
And my question is would you guys like to see a side blog based off of this idea i would need to come up with a name for this AU but would you guys like to see it

History Lesson 1: Evolution
Across the history of dragonkind, there have been many things impacting how the species survived. From The Scorching to The Forestfires, dragonkind finds a way to prevail.
Below is a basic evolutionary guide to dragonkind.
Tumblr media
You can see how far the genetic tree reaches.
It should be noted that the "All-Wings" are in quotes because that is what common dragon would call that species. Records reveal that they called themselves something that translates better to "Largewings" but is called All-Wings to the commonfolk after how they "created" all the 'wings' of dragonkind.
It should be noted that the Rainwings sprouted from a faction of Leafwings to fled to the Rainforest after The Forestfires.
Evolution, to dragons, means how they have changed with time and also changes across culture. I
t's like how the creation of the first pit-kilns to create pottery helped to spur the split of the species known now as the Middle Sandwings, as the different groups moved outward. Change like this happened slowly over time, and eventually led to the separate kingdoms.
This happened a lot with the Pantalian kingdoms, especially during the Tree Wars and the culture crash (of the Leafwings) and culture CLASH (with the new Hive Kingdom).
There are some traits that aren't in canon that the other species will have as a result of how I want these dragons to work.
The changes are as follows:
Nightwing power-indicators (teardrop scale for mind-readers, white undereye patterns for seers) are now slightly bioluminescent! They glow in low lighting and underwater.
Leafwing wings can have two variants based on the two "breeds" of Phyrrian trees: Maple and Oak. Maple wings have sharper points and are more Skywing-like, while Oak wings are smoother and more akin to the wings that canon shows.
Mudwings have both a frill and the canon backspikes. It makes sense, especially with how they exist now.
Leafwings now have minor venom in their teeth. It's like how the Nightwing's bite is described in Book 4, but a bit worse. Its a trait that was expressed in the Largewings (All-Wings) but remained dormant in the teeth until eventually uncovering in every lineage over time.
Icewings, Sandwings, and Nightwings have fur sometimes. It just happens, as the Middle Seawings had fur before it eventually was buried under various scale mutations.
On that note, that ends the first history lesson. It's short, but I really don't have much else to say that isn't covered in later issues of the lessons.

Can you tell us about the three moon dragons…….. I wanna know more………
HAHA youve fallen for my trap card!!! now i get to info dump about my ocs!!! sorry this is gonna be long and have a lot of images (only a little sorry)
hehehe so the moons came about via a convo with @zoo650 that started. not about the actual moons. we got on the topic of darkstalker and how its sad his canonical design is, to say, quite lacking in icewing traits. they mentioned he could've been a chimera and how cool that would've been, and we traded moonpaw (warrior cat) and darkstalker designs until they brought a funny thought to the table
Tumblr media
and that IMMEDIATELY got my brain moving!!! i dont now a lot about systems and we dont end up giving darkstalker specifically a system but they will be mentioned later!
Tumblr media
despite it being way too early in the morning i needed to get the image i had on paper, but that meant getting actual designs for the moons
we decided it would be funnier if the moons weren't nightwings, and we slowly cooked on the specific tribes as i started drawing them all
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
we was cookin!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but we're getting distracted already arent we? heres the initial piece i drew of them all! (side note i draw silkwings like centaurs because bugs :D) i wanted the moons to look like their tribe but still *other* yknow? they have 4 horns and 4 ears, moon patterns on their bodies, (and in the final designs) otherworldly glowing markings on their scales. and they *terrorize* darkstalker. we dont know of another dragonets born on brightest nights so he might have been the first! theyre so happy to spend their time with someone who can hear them (even if they made it happen) but man if these three arnet bad with kids. darkstalker is a weird case, hes narcissistic and egotistical, and who can blame him! HE CAN HEAR THE MOONS!!!! yeah they definitionally wouldn't be helpful with day to day activities that *mortal* dragons deal with. but!! still the actual moons!!
Tumblr media
from this point on we kinda. forget about darkstalker. oops there are other dragons that might have fun with moons! like moon!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
for a girl with an mostly absent mother and a dad we dont talk about, she *should* have a cool moon guardian (while this is fun to think about, the hoops we have to jump though with the loose lore we have would be plenty to justify her seeing imperial)
also we decide that Oracle is making Cottonmouths life even more of a living hell (for the jokes)
we pick up our convo again the next day with one last darkstalker! the moons with darkstalker vs the moons with peacemaker:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now more on the moon piece systems!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
while my fixation on the moons didnt get me far enough to design the the 6 moon pieces (3 for whiteout and 3 for sunny, fatespeaker, and starflight) this is when i started designing the actual moons! so back to those three
Tumblr media
(unused Oracle design with jumping spider inspo!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
some Perception headcanons! and then some general ideas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But lore time now!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also we start talking about hope,,,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then unfortunately, the last time we mention the moons is this (aside from me finishing the refs)
Tumblr media
and theres probably a lot that we both never wrote down or wasnt mentioned here! a few things that never went anywhere: starflight and fatespeaker trying to research the phenomenon they are experiencing and the only one knowing anything being hope. the three² groups skywing maybe being a crow. mentions of clearsight knowing of the moons (didnt go anywhere cause i forgot shes a future seer and not a mind reader), whiteouts headmates all having diffrent painting styles (mudwing: loves pottery and sculptures skywing: FINGER PAINTING, a beast at landscapes silkwing: knitting and crochet obviously (or smth else), the three² groups silkwing discovering silkwings are real, the reason why perception is a dove, SO MANY THINGS!!!!
thank you for making it through all that text! we kinda went hard on these guys and im sad i never drew any of the things we talked about. but just thinking of these guys again was fun!

Shark x SeaWing!reader
Is originally a remake, and edited as needed.
Original Post: Link
˚˖𓍢ִִ໋🌊🦈˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚. ˚˖𓍢ִִ໋🌊🦈˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚. 🌊˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚.
Chaos. Dragons screaming. Burnt bodies everywhere. Clear water stained black. Fire everywhere.
The burnt body of your dead friends made your stomach lurch. You didn't even try to make an escape. The entrance to the tunnel was crowded, dragons shoved, wings and tails flailed about as they desperately tried to get away from the flames and chaos.
You stayed huddled in a room on second floor, praying for your mate to find you. But you knew Shark was in the Deep Palace, yet your hopes lifted when you realize that he will immediately come to deal with the attacking SkyWings and MudWings. Smoke burned your eyes and gills, making you tear up slightly and cough. You can't stay here long... The options were either to hurdle into the cramped tunnel or up to the hole in the vegetation roof where flaming logs fell, and where a sky full of SkyWings and MudWings wait.
Weighing out your options, you chose to suck it up and fight your way out. You dodged a flaming log sharply as you flew towards the sky. The flames heat brushed your (blue/green) scales, but you continued to wing it. You heard the log splintering crash to the ground, followed by a scream of agony. It made you flinch and only made you fly faster. The SkyWings and MudWings were surprised as you shot out from the Summer Palace, the SkyWings quickly confront you. You clawed their faces and knocked them out of the sky with your powerful tail. There were other SeaWings fighting with the invaders, appearing that the attackers numbers began to dwindle.
Claws slammed into your back, ripping at your scales, sending bright pain bursting into your body. You roar in fury and pain, whirling around to attack. The MudWing ducked under your fishhook claws and head budded your belly. The air was knocked out of you, almost making you forget to beat your wings. The MudWing then grabbed your neck and squeezed, choking you. You gasped for air and clawed at his arm as your vision blurred and darkened. He just tighten his grip, growling. Suddenly, his grip vanished with a shriek. Your eyes adjusted as air filled your lungs once again. Commander Shark had tackled the MudWing off you and was now attempting to kill him. The MudWing fought back fiercely but had his belly scales shredded by Shark's claws, and Shark took one of his wings and dislocated it, letting him drop into the sea below.
You flung yourself at Shark, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Shark! My moons, your safe!"
"I was worried about you being safe!" Shark snapped, grasping your shoulders. You winced at his touch, your back still bled and throbbed in pain. He saw this, going behind you and examined your back scales, frowning at the amount of blood. "Go to the Deep Palace, (Y/n). Get a healer for your back." He ordered you as gentle as he could, his blank eyes staying on the gouges.
You looked over your shoulder in disbelief. "What?" you demanded, almost hitting Shark with your wings as you whirled around. "I'm staying here and fighting!"
"I don't want you to get killed!" he roars, shoving you sharply towards the blue water below. "I... I don't to loose you." His tone softened to a mumble.
You frowned, taking his talons into his.
"I'll go, just so that you don't worry too much about me," you told him. "But please, please, please come back in one piece!" (Not that you didn’t underestimate the commander.)
Shark smiled ever so slightly, showing his sincerity by nuzzling your head against his. You pulled away and dove through the air and into the safety of the waters depths, feeling Shark's white gaze watch you. You swam to a current, got tugged along with it. The battle above you was muffled and almost soundless. The dragons were blurred and mushed together in almost unrecognizable globs. But you can still see Shark's pale coloring dart through the globs as you were pushed further and further away, making it difficult for you to see him anymore. You sent your prayers of safety as you couldn't see him anymore.
