Back pain question:
I have a bad back (random assortment of nonspecific diagnoses generally ranging from slipped/degenerating discs to stenosis to Bertolloti Syndrome). When I experienced my first ‘blow out’ I was around 20, and my doc prescribed a muscle relaxant. Instead of helping, it left me unable to walk at all, since the tensed muscles around my spine were the only thing keeping me stable.  I am now almost 40 and I’m having a minor incident. I’m already on Tramadol and ibuprofen but doc wants me to try a muscle relaxant again. I was nervous at first thinking the same bad thing might happen, but then @thuriweaver pointed out that I’ve been doing edibles at night to help me sleep and that they also cause relaxed muscles.  Does anyone know if that’s a good comparison? A muscle relaxant and an edible? Do they do similar things to your muscles? I’m torn on this fence between “muscle relaxant might make it better” and “muscle relaxant might make it much worse” and wanting to know if the two are comparable. If so the relaxant will probably help a lot. If not it could lay me out. I’m nervous.

I have a horrible secret that I’ve kept for four years. I have no one to tell. The shame is often unbearable for what I’ve done.

Update
I got prescribed muscle relaxants for my back pain and they make me really groggy, hence why I haven't posted anything for the past two days. Sorry about that.
(Also, I stayed up til like 5 AM and got maybe six hours of sleep max, then had to go to my first therapy session with groggy brain and bad back. Thankfully Mom was there with me.)
(Then we had to stand in line for like an hour to get back our towed car that's not even ours- we're borrowing it from a friend while she's on vacation. So yeah. Fun times.)

I have a recurring neck injury that sometimes just seizes up for funsies and causes blinding headaches and stuff but anyway I had a series of stressful meetings for work today but on physician prescribed muscle relaxant it was perfectly fine. i just wasn't stressed. I guess this is why allo people who aren't daughters of pharmacists take the illegal stuff for kicks. i can see that it might be kinda useful in small doses if you're optimistic enough to take a thing made in an unknown lab by untraceable people.

Exploring the Profound Benefits of Carisoprodol: A Comprehensive Guide
Carisoprodol, known under the brand name Soma, is a muscle relaxant recognized for its efficacy in managing musculoskeletal pain and discomfort. This medication exerts its effects by altering the way the brain perceives pain signals, providing relief to individuals grappling with muscle spasms and associated discomfort.
Understanding Carisoprodol's Mechanism
Pain O Soma 500mg contains Carisoprodol operates by modulating the communication between nerves in the spinal cord and the brain. It doesn't directly relax muscles but rather interrupts pain sensations resulting from muscle spasms, thus facilitating pain relief.
Effective Management of Musculoskeletal Pain
Primarily prescribed for short-term use (generally up to two or three weeks), Carisoprodol is a viable option for individuals experiencing acute musculoskeletal pain. It aids in improving mobility and lessening discomfort caused by strains, sprains, or other muscle injuries.
Caution and Responsible Use
While Carisoprodol is effective in providing relief, caution must be exercised regarding its usage. Due to its potential for abuse and dependency, it's crucial to adhere strictly to prescribed dosages and duration of use as directed by healthcare professionals.
Potential Side Effects and Precautions
Like any medication, Carisoprodol can have side effects. Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, or headache. Individuals with a history of substance abuse or addiction should use Carisoprodol cautiously and under medical supervision.
Risk of Dependence and Tolerance
Carisoprodol has the potential for tolerance and dependency, especially when used for extended periods or in higher doses than recommended. It's essential to avoid abrupt discontinuation and to follow healthcare provider advice for gradual tapering if discontinuing use.
Consultation and Professional Guidance
Before initiating Carisoprodol therapy, consulting healthcare providers is imperative. They can assess individual health conditions, provide personalized recommendations, and monitor treatment progress to ensure safe and effective use.
Aspadol 100mg is the greatest medicine for musculoskeletal pain that is provided by a doctor. This drug is available from Buynetmeds, the top online pharmacy.
Conclusion: Harnessing Relief Responsibly
In conclusion, Carisoprodol stands as a valuable option for managing acute musculoskeletal pain. When used responsibly, following healthcare provider guidance and adhering to prescribed dosages, it serves as an effective tool in alleviating discomfort associated with muscle injuries.

Ragdoll [Yandere Mahito x Reader]
Title: Ragdoll [Yandere Mahito x Reader]
Synopsis: Your back hurts and Mahito fixes it for you. inspired by snatches of conversation with @absolute-flaming-trash as so many Mahito things are!
Word count: 500ish
notes: yandere, kidnapped reader, body modification
Tumblr media
“Well? How does it feel?” Mahito asks, and whenever Mahito asks, you are bound to consider the answer. Whether or not you actually give it depends on the day and time and how much you’re willing to endure.
You’re… Weightless. That’s what you feel–no, no, no. That’s wrong. Not weightless. There is weight to you. You are not some candy floss being tossed in the wind by a child uncaring of the time spent crafting it, hot metal bowls and spinning sticks and carpal tunnel from too many summers on a carnival job.
You have weight, but it is thick and slimy and moveable, like a glob of remorseless slime built up in a forgotten bathroom sink. Or something heavier, filled with beans or sand or stuffing.
A doll, maybe? Oh, yes.
A doll. A ragdoll. The kind your grandparents gifted you when you were little, because it’s what they grew up with on the dusty old farm, and your parents cooed over her yarn hair and homespun look.
But you shoved her onto the decorative chair in the corner of your bedroom and never played with her because you wanted something chic and fun, a doll with brushable hair and clothes that came off.
Now you’re stuck in that corner chair, or you would be, except Mahito wants to play with you. Likes to play with you. Likes to hold you, like he’s doing now, humming and holding out one hand so all of your weight slides to one side and the only thing keeping you upright is the grip of his fingers.
Then flopping you to the other side, and doing it again, and again. Then holding you close and down, like he’s dipping you in a dance.
He could let you go and you’d fall, a heap, onto the floor. Would it hurt? Maybe the rest of you would.
But not your back. Not your spine. He replaced it all with gelatin or goo or slime or whatever he’d decided upon, after you’d begged and begged and begged. Chronic back pain was a bitch. Chronic back pain when you were sleeping on floors and hammocks was bitchier.
“It hurts so much. I can’t stand it. Please, please, please.”
And he’d tickled his fingers up your back–it hurt, too–and smiled down.
“You really want me to fix you?”
And you did, and he did, and here you are now.
Weighty and weightless all the same, his pretty ragdoll.
Only he can brush your hair and change your clothes and maybe that will keep him from shoving you into the corner and forgetting about you.
The thought is too far back to be anything more than a gnat you’ll swat when it comes closer, though. Because your spine is jello, sure, sure, sure. But it doesn’t hurt. And you can’t strain a ligament or herniate a disc when there’s nothing there to hurt, can you?
It doesn’t hurt, for once, and that’s enough.
Mahito drops you low, again, catching you before your head smacks against the concrete.
He smiles.
So do you.

Todays WIP that will go nowhere-- Eddie realizing Steve is a good person not through the Party, or anything that happens in S4, but by witnessing his weird ass interactions with Jonathan Byers.
The guy publicly decked him, "stole" (Eddie does not believe one can "steal" a person outside of kidnapping but that's how the rumor mill is phrasing it) Steve's girlfriend, and if Carol Perkins is to be believed, took creep-shot photos of him having sex and yet:
Eddie has now repeatedly witnessed the two of them not just making nice with each other, but outright beelining for each other.
Taking in harsh whispers, going places together, cars following each other, and half the time there's a bunch of kids with them instead of Nancy.
Jonathan is notorious for being a loner even by Eddie's standards and yet he reacts to Steve the same way one reacts to a trustworthy member of the family--with relief.
They're not even that nice with each other--Eddie's heard them trade insults.
(The whole school and likely half of Hawkins has heard them trade insults.)
Eddie's been involved in the wrong crowd long enough to recognize when two people have a sort of unshakable trust with each other, that "I hate you but I have your back" partner in crime vibe that his father always exploited, but with Steve and Jonathan it's real.
And that is what constantly makes Eddie look different at Steve.
Not the kids, though he gives Dustin all the shit he can over his giant case of "Harrington Worship", but because he keeps thinking Steve is going to be shitty, has always assumed Steve was being shitty, and now that Steve has actually caught Eddie's eye its impossible to miss that he isn't/

this is kinda different but hear me out. human with chronic pain whose larger monster partner is normally very gentle with them so they don't make the pain worse, snuggling them and doting on them lovingly after
and then the human gets new medications, which work so well, but make them drowsy as a side effect, and they keep falling asleep, but they don't have any real pain anymore. and they're pumped, because it means they can really get fucked the way they want without being incredibly sore after.
their partner is understandably worried about this, but the human assures them it's not anything to worry about, so they go at it, claws digging into them, long, slow thrusts, rhythmically pounding the metaphorical life out of the human they're using as a breeding bitch
and then the human yawns. and then they yawn again. and the monster really thinks they should stop but the human's begging, no, please, i've wanted this for years, don't stop, i want you to use me, so they don't stop
and then they fall asleep. and the monster probably should stop at this point, but their human feels so fucking good, and they're really asleep but they're still moaning a little bit in their sleep, and oh that makes it so much hotter for reasons the monster doesn't really want to pick apart right now, and they really can't stop themselves as they groan and slam their hips in as far as they'll go, whining with need as they breed their human, who they know would ask for this anyway if they were awake
and the human blinks slowly, looking around as their partner slowly lays down on top of them, realizing what happened when they feel the throb inside them, and they've definitely just found out they like something they've never heard of before.
