I love fanfic writers because they will spend days researching some niche aspect of their oneshot to make sure it’s all factual and accurate. And in the very next chapter they will write a smut scene that disregards the laws of physics, biology and good common sense.
Alright my loves, I absolutely need more engagement! I need more friends whether we remain internet friends or we become travel friends, book nerd friends, actual irl friends or just venting buddies. So if you have any of the common interest I do PLEASE follow me so I can follow you back or message me so we can start talking and becoming besties in whatever way or if you’re just feeling lonely and would like a friend!

I could literally talk for hours about tv shows and books. I could vent about my life, traveling, trying to figure out life and what to do regarding future, negative parents, having children, single parenthood, being broke, dreaming of all the things life has to offer, gorgeous men and women celebrities. I can be a chatterbox if it’s something I’m interested in, otherwise I’m an introvert and I like to stay in my cocoon and read and watch tv so I figure tumblr was my best bet on trying to engage more with people who are like minded 😂
I saw another post debating whether kids should have access to the adult secrion of the library (the answer is yes), and in response I present this list of 'adult' books I took a random interest in at the age of twelve or thirteen
Physics for dummies
String theory for dummies
Quantum physics for dummies
Calculus for dummies (because there was calc in the quantum physics book)
Trigonometry for dummies (because I needed it as background info for the calculus)
Parents beware: given unrestricted library access, your child may attempt to learn calculus as a result of a special interest in theoretical physics - or chase some other special interest into the depths of the grown-up nonfiction section. I did not actually understand the calculus, or the trig either, and eventually got bored and gave up, but I did have fun with it for a while. And when I got to the point of being able to take classes in physics, trig, and calc, I wasn't scared of them.
flying or high jumping is a common discussion with the jedi but i fully believe jedi have the capability to fly and also stick to walls like spiderman
let me explain
to fly a jedi would stand with their palms facing the ground, iron man style, and push the planet away from themselves as hard as they can
the planet would be WAY too heavy to move but there's still force pushing so they would go flying upwards
i guess it wouldn't be flying as much as it is keeping themselves from falling by continuously pushing the planet away but they'd probably move pretty fast if they pushed at an angle and basically jumped mid air
double jump but with the force
now, sticking to walls
the only way for it to work the wall, or any big object, would have to be very sturdy and heavier than the jedi can move. the jedi would stand in front of the wall and pull the wall towards themselves
again, it would be too heavy for themselves to actually move it so they would get pulled towards it
and as long as they continue to pull the wall towards themselves, they'd be able to scale it
and i guess this wouldn't be sticking as much as... suctioning(?) themselves to the wall
i know that's already kind of done in jedi fallen order and jedi survivor when cal does the wall run so it's not a far stretch
and it could even work the other way, they could get away from a dangerous situation by jumping out a window or something and push the entire building away from them so they shoot far away and then push against the planet less and less until they get down to the ground slowly and relatively safely
One of my favourite NPC side-conversation in Mass Effect is about the laws of physics.
This, recruits, is a 20 kilo ferrous slug. Feel the weight! Every five seconds, the main gun of an Everest-class dreadnought accelerates one, to 1.3% of light speed. It impacts with the force a 38 kiloton bomb. That is three times the yield of the city buster dropped on Hiroshima back on Earth.
That means: Sir Isacc Newton is the deadliest son-of-a-bitch in space!
Now! Serviceman Burnside, what is Newton's first law?
Sir! An object in motion stays in motion, sir!
No credit for partial answers maggot!
Sir! Unless acted on by an outside force, sir!
Damn straight! I dare to assume you ignorant jackasses know that space is empty. Once you fire this hunk of metal, it keeps going 'til it hits something. That can be a ship, or the planet behind that ship. It might go off into deep space and hit somebody else in 10,000 years! If you pull the trigger on this, you are ruining someone's day! Somewhere and sometime! That is why you check your damn targets! That is why you wait 'til the computer gives you a damn firing solution. That is why, Serviceman Chung, we do not 'eyeball it'. This is a weapon of mass destruction! You are NOT a cowboy, shooting from the hip!
And Stellaris included a nice Easter-egg referencing this conversation:
