Bernard: "Charles, I think we better let John--"

(Charles jabs a finger.) "No! Hold him down and don't let go!"

"A̷͏̴̵̧̛͘͞A̶̴̵̕͢͢͝͠A͜҉̴̨̛́́͜Á̴̢̢̢̀͜͡A͝҉̸̢̛̛̀͜H̸̶̀́͘͏͏̡Ḩ̷̷̸̧̀͠͠H̶̡̨̛̀̀͘͘Ḩ̵̸̧̧̀͟͝H̶̸̡̢̕͢͟͜H̢͘͞͏̵̷̨̡!̴́̀҉̸͞͏͏"

(The Werewolf falls to his knees as he is torn apart. John's rocked in all directions.)

(His head swims and he feels a growing numbness inside of his chest.)

"What's... happening...?"

(John takes a few clumsy steps. The room is spinning. The room is hot. It's hard to breathe and he can feel his heart slowing--)

(He collapses onto the floor with a sickening thud. )

(Why can't I...? )

(Claws spring from his nails.)

Bernard: "Dan, watch it--!"

(Daniel turns to Charles. As he's about to say something, John thrashes out of his grip.)

(Toxins clash in his veins, darkening them as his healing abilities try and clear them. Sweat shines his tan skin.)

"For fuck's sake, Dan!"

(John tastes copper as his fangs erupt from his gums. Hair covers his chest, hiding the toxin's damage. His eyes are wild and roving, as if he's looking for a target--)

Bernard: "Guys, I think John's trying to wake up!"

(He is.)

(Daniel presses down hard on John's knee and shoulder, pinning him to the table.) "Charles--"

Bernard: "Jordy, I swear to god, stop standing there like a freakin' statue and do something!"

Jordan: "O-okay. H--"

(John roars again and Jordan flinches; they back off to the dismay of Bernard. Daniel gives them a small nod of reassurance -- stay right there.)

(Charles keeps his voice light and nonchalant. They're already panicking and this is just the beginning; he has the feeling it's going to be a very long night.)

"It's quite alright; Johnathan will plateau in thirty-one seconds."

(He scrutinizes the screen. Nothing to worry about. Yet.)

(Anger flows through The Werewolf. Wrath breaks him free of the pain wrought on him. He grits his teeth and lets out a low, guttural sound. He will not die here. He will be free.)

(Pulling himself together, The Werewolf roars against the dark. He doesn't care if no one hears him, not anymore.)

(He's exhausted. That's a first... His heart feels heavy in his chest... something's missing but he can't place it right now. That's not his priority. He needs to get out of here.

No, there's something else. Why didn't he wake up in any sort of bondage? The Werewolf's missing that feeling of control--

He hears a panicked voice talking about crashing-- whatever that means--)

(A tinny sound rings in his ears and The Werewolf looks up.)

(A white door appears before him.)

"What the fuck?"

Hope you don’t mind unsolicited kitty cat pictures of my new worm-beast! Forcibly reminding myself that randombred cats can look like anything and that this elongated fella I found living at the local zoo is not in fact an oriental-type/lemur hybrid.

I'll be honest, this is the first cat I've seen that could actually be a Balinese cross.

if you'd only shown me the first photo, I would have 100% believed that was a Balinese. the fur and body type are so specific. and then the last photo couldn't be a Balinese (because of the white spotting), but I'd still believe it was an Oriental Longhair.

it's only the second photo that made me go oh......that's not quite right.....that's not how that should look.........

so I'd say the possibilities are:

you found a cat that has coincidental similarities to a Balinese/Oriental (cool!! awesome cat! the breed had to get the traits from somewhere, makes sense!)

you found a badly bred Oriental Longhair with a wonky face (not likely, OLHs are rare and tend to have a more standardized show-type appearance)

you found a Balinese cross (cool!! awesome cat!)

in any case, they are very beautiful and I'm an admirer of their special white stripe.

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !

Twst coming back at us again with the least expected romanization! thank you everybody (oh god my inbox) (no it's great, I literally asked for this and the reactions have been INCREDIBLE, thank you all!)

I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!

someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)

I need codependent Danny/Jason as a little treat (for me) and I love the idea of them having some sort of instant connection the moment they meet (bc ghost stuff idk)

Danny who's been dropped in Gotham with no way home (alt universe??) and he's been here for 36 hours and having a Very bad time senses a liminal being and immediately latches onto them heedless of the fact that his new best friend is shooting at some seedy guys in an alley and goes off about how stressed he is and how he can't make it back to the ghost zone and what a bad day he's been having (and it's important to note Danny is a littol ghost boy literally hanging off of Jason's neck as he floats aimlessly) and Jason is like "who are you??" And Danny is like "oh sorry I'm Danny lol" and then just continues lamenting his woes

And honestly ? This might as well happen. Nothing about this Danny guy(is he human?) gives Jason a bad vibe and tbh he's never felt more calm and level headed before so he just keeps up his usual Red Hood patrol and doesn't even think about it when he heads back to a safehouse and feeds Danny dinner (breakfast) before crashing for half the day

The only thing I actually need is Jason meeting up with the bats for some sort of Intel meeting and they're like "uhhh who's that" and Jason is like "that's Danny." And does not elaborate (very ".... What do you have there?" "A smoothie" vibes)

And it takes them a while to realize that these two have known each other for less than 12 hours and are literally attached at the hip
