Idk why but I just love this shot of the movie. While David is the focus still walking on the carousel, I just love the Marko, Paul, and Dwayne walking along side him in the frame.
I tried to post this earlier and it ended up not posting, but I wanted to throw this in for my USA brethren for “Thank the Creatives Thursday“.
I apologize to the non—USA folks.
The drag is that I have access to the UK versions on my Google Drive, but I have no way of downloading the US version from Prime in an editable format, so I can’t give you the comparison. Let’s just call it generic. To its credit, it doesn’t try to emulate. There isn’t a cheesy piece of fake Zepplin. It’s a completely different vibe though. It’s the openings to “Sway” with the original Dean Martin music, and to “Pylon“ with the original Led Zeppelin.
It’s a testament to Barrington Pheloung and Matthew Slater, and the care and craftsmanship the two of them employed. That’s original Slater music Morse is thinking about Joan and Fancy during, as he’s driving throughout the countryside in his little turquoise car. It’s just masterful what the two of them did musically for the show.
I love the show, but it’s an entirely different dimension with the music as intended. It’s just another layer of the onion that is our show.
It’s six minutes. “Pylon” uploaded first for whatever reason.
Honestly A Clockwork Orange has one of the best opening scenes in cinematic history. Likewise with the novel, it’s the opening monologue. It’s ominous, yet tells you everything about what you should expect. Malcom McDowell’s impromptu ‘cheers’ to the audience as he raises that glass of Moloko Plus and very subtly nods his head. He’s piercing through your soul, saying “hold onto your seats, your life is about to change.”
GUYS HOW WOULD S3 START? It wouldn't feel right it not opening with just Aziraphale and Crowley but I don't know what other point they could start at. Like it would be during: some point before the beginning but just after Before.
Scanlan and VM helped me to watch the DP movies. I don’t want to say Goodbye to Spidey-Kun, since we’re still halfway through the 4 Year Interest pattern of mine. But Deadpool movie weekend has me taking an interest in the Younger Marvel character. I had been having doubts about watching his 1st movie back in 2016, just weeks or a month before my reunion with Nezu-Chan (Danger Mouse) occurred that summer.
I finally drew the Bridge scene because it broke me since I first watched it xd. Plus, it inspired me to write a nearly 100k word long story about it. I drew a scene that mirrored it so I couldn't resist.
This scene is so powerful in so many ways. It definitely speaks without words. It's so soft and wholesome too, so I'm really glad I could draw it.
You can read the story here if you wish, there's only one chapter left: https://archiveofourown.org/works/42632040
