Poor Mirre had to walk around Argynvostholt with no armor and some dissolved clothes after a black pudding jumped him and melted his breastplate! Thank goodness for acid resistance!
He found some mitheral half plate in some rubble later on so hes good now👍

So, yeah, it's been a hot minute, eh? Such is the nature of hyperfixation, it flips wildly between things sometimes. Lately, it's been focused on various video games, but also especially jigsaw puzzles (both physical and digital). I'll try to get myself to do some more character updates/creation at some point here, but that will still require that needle to flip back over a little. It did feel pretty fun and natural to hop back into HeroForge to make this new character, though, which is always nice.
At any rate, in the meantime, my gaming groups' lives seem to have calmed down a little bit, and we figure we're just going to start up a new campaign and get a couple new folks in as well. And we're giving Pathfinder a go this time around, as you might imagine, with Nilzom being a Pathfinder-focused character. Of course, I've got the D&D roughest equivalent penciled in for him as well. I know that D&D Hobs are more likely to be orange-red skinned as opposed to the Pathfinder's blue-grey skinned. But, eh, he can fit into either setting. Including having some hair. As a treat.

I realized that since there’s 4 types of genasi and 4 types of bloodhunters, I only needed to design two more characters to have a complete (possibly adoptable- message me for more info) set.

laurie is such a fascinating character to me because she has died so many times over the last two hundred years that she has no sense of self-preservation or anything of that ilk anymore. she’ll accept a death (even a terribly painful one) if it is ultimately the easier option to just come back in 24 hours. if she’s seriously injured in battle, she will just put her rapier through her heart rather than have people waste potions or spells to heal her. but what happens when you don’t fear death? what happens when you know that you will get stared at if you don’t cover your throat because of the open wound that has never fully healed? what happens when there is barely a difference between the living and the dead?

So. I'm playing DnD. This is the character who will appear if my current one dies. She is a half-elf blood hunter.

haii !! this is gonna be something fun i did cause i was bored but since mcsm is combat and story based.. i felt like i needed to assign characters with d&d classes yipee!! this goes for after season 2 btw !! order of the stone: ivor- alchemist artificer/ great old one warlock (the witherstorm) / samurai fighter soren- college of creation bard / wizard of conjuration ellegaard- battlesmith artificer magnus- scout rouge / artillerist artificer gabriel- banneret fighter / oath of glory paladin new order / jesses gang: jesse: banneret fighter / oath of devotion paladin / aberrant mind sorcerer (from romeo) jesse could honestly be so many things petra: champion fighter olivia: battlesmith artificer axel: scout rouge / artillerist artificer lukas: college of creation bard / drakewarden ranger radar: path of the totem warrior (bear) barbarian blaze rods: aiden: mastermind rouge / oathbreaker paladin (he just gives those vibes it fits his story too) gill: path of berserker barbarian maya: college of glamour bard / arcane trickster rouge other: cassie rose: wizard of necromancy / assassin rouge / ghostslayer bloodhunter (my girl had time to study) isa: kensei monk milo: swashbuckler rouge harper: battlesmith artificer / forge domain cleric hadrian: way of long death monk / samurai fighter mevia: way of long death monk / scout rouge stella: college of eloquence bard / fiend warlock (from romeo) jack: echo knight fighter / barbarian path of the storm herald nurm: circle of stars druid vos: school of war magic wizard binta: peace domain cleric / circle of spores druid if you are wondering where the admins are well its kinda hard to put them into a class considering their different powers they'd probably fit a god npc more but i can try if someone requests it, that being said i will do more characters if people ask for them!!

Back to thinking about the TF2 squad, but in a DnD setting.
I don't remember who posted this or where it was posted (and I wished I remembered it so much orz), but Sniper being a Firbolg is amazing and I love it so much and I want to give a big smooch to whoever thought about it first. Also, I can't imagine him having any other class other than Ranger. Have no clue what subclass to give him tho' o(-(
Soldier being a Fighter with the Gunslinger subclass would be fun. But the Battle Master subclass would also fit him. As for what race he would be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe Bugbear?
Idk why, but Demoman as a Blood Hunter (with his subclass maybe being the Order of the Ghostslayer) makes my brain go haywire. Not sure whether to have him be a Minotaur, an Elf, or a half-Elf tho'. Leaning maybe towards one of the latter two. Maybe.
Spy being a Changeling Rogue (unsure what subclass to give him smh) is pretty fitting imo. Don't really have much else to add here lol
Scout would then be half-Human half-... Changeling? Fey? Elf? I have honestly no clue how that exactly works lol. As for his class... I have no clue as well. A part of me is leaning towards Monk, while another part of me is leaning towards Bard. *shrug*
I think it would be fun if Pyro is the only one in the group that's just straight up Human, with maybe some dragon ancestry waayyy back in their family tree, which let's them use Sorcerer spells. That, or let them go nuts with Wild Magic that they got from meeting a Unicorn.
Engineer being a Dwarf Artificer with the Battle Smith subclass that let's him have his own lil' robot turret puppy following him around :)
Heavy would be a Barbarian, but I'm unsure what subclass tho'. I'm leaning towards the Path of the Totem Warrior since one of the animals that can be chosen is the bear, which got quite some perks that fits him. Also unsure whether to have him be a Half-Orc, or a Goliath, or something else.
I just really like the idea of Medic being Tiefling and a Cleric for a God in the Trickery domain (*cough* Satan being the God of Trade or Deals or something *cough*), which let's him have access to the spell Disguise Self, which he uses to look like an Elf most of the time. Just yes :]

Arya stark: bloodhunter, order of the ghostslayer.
Once again, reasoning in incredible detail under the cut
Ok for arya, i once again wanted to subvert obvious expectations (and play more in the dnd space) so instead of the rogue subclass (with either thief or assassin as her subclass) i settled on bloodhunter for her class. First, to be clear on why not rogue; its not really that different from how she is in the actual world of asoiaf, and if i'm committing to an au then i might as well branch out (the same reasons stand for why not fighter). Bloodhunter is a class that was created by matthew mercer for campaign 2 of critical role, and it is deeply interesting to me (as well as being suited to arya)
Bloodhunters are a martial class that is based around the use of blood magic in order to destroy evils in the world, while resisting giving into the dangerous magic they work with. The subclass that i chose for arya is Ghostslayer, which is "the oldest of the bloodhunter orders" and they focus on everything around death, with an obsession with ridding the world of the undead. While the House of Black and White is not like, focused on ridding the world of undead, it does align well with how she could have come into these powers/fighting style. Beyond the House of Black and White, arya herself has so many personal vendettas that work with the motivations of ghostslayers (especially when you think of the white walkers, though i know she doesn't know about them).
Though ghostslayer (and bloodhunter really) have some magic, it doesn't really give the specific power of changing appearance, and that is kinda crucial to what arya learns in the House of Black and White. So!! In order to make this work, i think dnd arya is not a human (or at least, not a human anymore). Instead she is a shifter, which is descended from a were-creature. The shifter option that suits arya best is swiftstride (which isn't the one that is recommended for werewolves but whatever), since it gives extra movement/increased speed, and matches how arya fights. However, arya still can't change her faces, so this is where feats come in. The Eldritch initiate feat allows one invocation (something that warlocks get as part of their deal) and though arya is definitely not a warlock (though i did think about hexblade for her, i just couldn't figure out what her patron would be), the Mask of many faces invocation allows the character to cast disguise self at will, which works as a dnd take on changing faces. If she were higher level then Master of myriad forms makes more sense (it gives the spell alter self at will, which actually changes the form of the caster, whereas disguise self   is an illusion spell) but i decided to plan her at about 8th level, so whatever lol.
Some bonus thoughts (i know i have already rambled a lot oopsies); her fighting style is either duelling or two-weapon fighting, depending on whether she uses exclusively needle or if she also fights with a dagger. Her crimson rite damage would be cold, as a little nod to her stark side. For her blood maledicts (bonuses that are useful in fighting) i decided on the Blood curse of the Eyeless which lets her temp blind people (fun!) and Blood curse of Binding which reduces peoples speed to zero for a bit (good for just fucking sprinting away). Since i'm thinking of her as 8th level, she can have another feat (which is more interesting than an ability score improvement) and i decided on magic initiate (wizard, since its intelligence based), which gives 2 cantrips (spells that don't require spell slots) and 1 first level spell. For the two cantrips, mage hand and booming blade would give some helpful bonuses to her both in and out of combat. For the one spell, i thought find familiar would be fun! Find familiar doesn't have wolf, but if you just  use cat stats for wolf then that's fine, find familiar is cool cause the caster can look through the eyes of the familiar when they are in range, and they can be summoned in a different form when it is recast. Lastly, i think her stats (highest to lowest) are: dexterity, intelligence, constitution, wisdom, strength, charisma.
Again, if you read all this, thank you!!!! I hope it made sense and lmk ur thoughts.

Mirre got a much deserved design update since I'm getting better at dragonborns! 🤩
I wanted to make him look a lot more intimidating. Plus his dad is a red dragonborn and i wanted to incorporate little bits of that into him.

i was thinking bout a dnd au for cod characters - all i can say is oathbreaker price. either oathbreaker oath of vengeance bc i can see that man as nothing but a paladin
-🪸
Okay I have honestly thought of this and I do have some hc's
You are 100000% correct that Price would be a paladin, but instead of breaking his oath, his god still guides him? What if despite all the people he's killed, all the families he tore apart, all the castles he burned down to keep the world clean, all the blood that stains him inside and out, his god forgives him? What if his god encourages it? The slow realization that the war god he swore himself to isn't as benevolent as he'd been lead to believe, but it's too late to turn back. (Basically an Oath of War paladin from a homebrew I saw)
Soap I feel would be good as an Artificer, mostly making explosives n shit. With maybe like a couple of levels in rogue too, just for sneaking around and going under cover which would be funny because everyone expects him to be a barbarian cause he dresses like a savage.
I'm thinking Gaz would be a druid, just something about him wildshaping into a large feline fits you know? (Also him turning into bird when falling to reference all the times he's fallen out of a heli lol) He usually perches on Price's shoulder in like a crow form.
Ghost is a bit tricky as my first thought was either necromancer or warlock, but that feels a bit lazy so I present you: Blood Hunter Ghost. He was forced to become a blood hunter when his enslavers sought to use blood magic to achieve immortality. It left him pretty fucked up, but with terrifying new abilities. Though I'm still undecided if he should be an order of the Ghostslayer or an order of the Mutant blood hunter.

Jarec V'nindu [he/him]
Githyanki Blood Hunter, Order of the Ghostslayer
Jarec was a fresh face amongst the ranks of the Githyanki's interdimensional crusade, and he learned pretty quickly that his heart just wasn't in it. He chose to slip away from his post one day in the Shadowfell and ducked through a portal into the material plane, but it seems as though he may have brought something unsavory along with him. Whether it be through consequence or a seized opportunity, some otherworldly force snuck its way into Jarec's bloodstream and now periodically gives him glimpses into the space between the planes. Through this strange ability, Jarec has learned how to communicate with the dead and track souls that refuse to go gently into the beyond. He, however, isn't terribly interested in the quarrels of fading spirits. He's found another benefit of the curse; a current of powerful radiant energy runs through his veins, which he can harness to empower his abilities in combat. A born mercenary, Jarec is always on the search for loot, glory, and ways to sustain his lust for adventure. At least he's pointed in the right direction. For now.
