#PROBABLY MEANS I PLAY TOO MUCH MINECRAFT TBH

last night i had a dream that i was playing minecraft and i noticed i had 77 blocks of cobblestone in one slot instead of it being capped at 64 and it was so jarring to me that it literally booted me out of the dream. like sure you can fly now and your childhood home is a pharmacy but 77 pieces of cobblestone? unthinkable. wake the fuck up.

In relation to the "Quackity was losing money from the qsmp!!!" point that people bring up in defence of him, like... tbh in my opinion quackity probably could have made quite a bit of money in subs and donos if he ever actually... streamed on his server.....

Via twitchtracker from march 2023 to march 2024 (this is the timeline i use for all numbers/averages in this unless otherwise stated, also i use 1 year for emphasis sometimes even when meaning 13 months, start of march last year to end of march this year) The highest amount of subs quackity (on his main channel, quackitytoo's subs stats arent available) has received within a month (ie. subcount at end of month) is 2.7k in august 2023, with quite a few months dipping below 1k, and the lowest being just over 500 in july 2023 (Though he also only streamed once in the entire month, so this is understandable), coming to an average of 1.6k subs/month. While his average viewer count across those 13 months was about 35.1K, with a high of just under 65k average in august 2023, and a low of 22k average in january. (This is across all categories of game/just chatting)

Only 48 of quackity's main channel streams (67 total if im not miscounting) in that time were under the category minecraft (71%), with over half of them being in the first 4 months of qsmp (really mostly the first 3 months because it started in late march). With only 13 streams in the category in the latter half of 2023, and 8 in 2024.

To compare, ill use badboyhalo as an example: (Im using him because the vast majority of his streams were qsmp until recently, and i didnt want someone to try and say "but they stream other things!" to discredit this (even though so does quackity), and of the other streamers who have been on the qsmp since the start either a) They "stream other stuff" (ie. not qsmp, including other minecraft like phil's hardcore) often so it "wouldnt count", b) Their subs arent tracked on twitchtracker (its opt-in), or c) They stopped playing on the server/very very rarely play on the server so i cant accurately compare the full timeline. I could have probably also used foolish but bbh came to mind first (And his sub stats weirdly stop tracking in october 2023? I assume because that's when he changed his twitch channel name?))

Bbh's highest number of subs in a month was may 2023 with 4k, with his lowest being just under 400 in march 2023 (only 4 streams that month, so again this is understandable), across march'23-march'24, he got an average of 1.8k subs/month. To compare viewers, bbh's average viewcount across those 13 months was 3.7k (nearly 10 times lower than quackity), with his lowest being 1.7k average viewers in march 2024, and highest being 6k average viewers in september 2023. (again across all categories)

(Im not counting by hand all the times he's streamed in the category minecraft, but seeing as its nearly daily its over 300)

Of course, you could use the argument "Bbh streams every day for so long!", and like... Yeah. He does. In the past 13 months bbh has streamed for 2.1k hours. Quackity has streamed 106. One hundred and six hours. Quackity has streamed on his main channel less in a year than bbh streams in one month (avg 163 hours/month if anyone's wondering). And yet their average subs/month are only about 200 apart. No wonder hes apparently too broke to pay his employees fairly.

At time of sending this ask quackity has 6.3 million followers on twitch, bbh has 2.6 million. They have a drastic difference in followers and viewcount, and yet their subcounts are still so shockingly close to eachother.

If quackity needed money to pay for server costs or to pay his employees that badly he definitely could have made more by doing his job streaming more consistently. He doesn't even need to do it as much or as often as bbh does, seeing as hes already very close to bbh in average subs/month on his main channel with his incredibly low number of streams.

And again none of this factors in quackity's streams on his second channel, where he streams more often and for longer, because twitchtracker doesnt track that channel's subcount (again, it's opt-in) so i cant factor that in to how much he hypothetically makes. But as for the other stats on quackitytoo: 35.7k avg viewers, 168 total hours streamed (13 hrs/month), 65 streams in the category minecraft (march 23rd-now, though i might be off by a couple, my brain is fried for numbers at this point), and 4.6 million followers. Based on this, he most likely has a similar or higher amount of subs than his main channel on that one.

And this entire thing doesn't factor in donations at all seeing as that is a 3rd party thing and not something twitchtracker tracks.

Sidenote about the "in the category minecraft" thing: twitchtracker will include a stream in the category stats even if you forgot to change categories before starting stream playing/doing something else. So there are some "minecraft" streams where the time spent in the category is under 15 minutes, or if a stream crashes and restarts it will count as a separate stream. I still tried to count these to give the most benefit of the doubt

(In case anyone is curious about the foolish stats: (again across all categories, seeing as he does play quite a bit of valorant), viewers avg 6.7k/month, total hours streamed 2.4k, avg 190 hrs/month, subs avg (march-october 2023 because of the lack of tracking afterwards) 6.7k/month, ~250 streams in the category minecraft, and 2.1mil followers. Also, before anyone complains about only using english streamers to compare, the only spanish speaking streamer whos been on qsmp from the start and still logged on consistently through the entire year is roier, and his subs also arent tracked. And none of the other languages were there from the very start.)

Sorry about how long this ask got (i bolded the numbers to make skimming easier for anyone who's not reading all that). I just got so curious about people defending Q by saying how the server running costs meant paying his employees fairly was too expensive that i went to check the actual stats, and i was kinda shocked by how low everything but viewcount was. Of course, I never believed quackity was a "millionare" by any standard, but im also not a viewer of his so i didn't know how much/how often (how little/how rarely*) he actually streamed.

And as a final thing, I have no idea how truly accurate twitchtracker's subcount numbers are (and the wording is a bit confusing on the graphs, which is what i interpreted as "# subs at end of month/subs gained within month" seeing as subs last 30 days (i think?)), as I'm not a streamer and I don't personally subscribe to any streamers. I just know that streamers themselves see it as accurate enough for the "highest current/all-time subcount" records. So i guess that's to say disclaimer: this is all just estimates.

I’ll admit that I don’t know anything about how exactly twitch revenue works so I can’t really make comments on what you just said, but I’ll leave it here for anyone who may be interested in the numbers side of things and this seems like quite the thorough investigation.

Yes, I would expect that she started living in the cave possibly because that's where she met Diego too. So she was holding out hope that he would come back, only to get Lilith instead (for the best, of course). I've been thinking more about werewolves in this setting and how they came to exist, and I think maaayyybe whatever is going on with Ava is also linked to or is even the source of werewolves (the idea is simmering, I'm playing around with Ava possibly being responsible for turning Diego into the first werewolf by accident, through magical nonsense). Either way, yes she's devastated and trying to distract herself in any way she can, meaning Lilith's arrival helped her on multiple fronts.

If Lilith knew about immortals beforehand or maybe just legends of them, then she would be distrustful at the start, especially when Ava refuses to give her a straight answer on how she came to be immortal. But necessity and strange bedfellows and etc. etc. Ava helps Lilith survive until she can safely leave the cave and then Ava... just sort of follows her, to Lilith's annoyance and dismay. She keeps her distance for awhile, but then gradually gets closer until maybe Lilith has a dangerous moment where she's really hurt or about to burn in the sun and Ava rescues her. They aren't planning their honeymoon anytime soon but they recognize that they are better off with each other than alone.

When Beatrice gets her paws under her, she'll return their antics with her own. Her biggest hits include laying her 300-lb. furry self in front of the door whenever the other two try to leave, forcing Lilith to pick her up (strategic cuddling) and pinning one or both of them under her and then falling asleep (strategic napping).

How Demon Slayer characters play horror games!

Okay bear with me! I love horror games so here is how I think my favorite KNY characters would be like while they play!

Mitsuri

- Would personally NEVER play a horror game by herself

- If she does play one, it’s always with on of her friends

- Even then she’ll play a really mild one like FNAF or Little Nightmares

- Screams at every jumpscare

- It’s not even like a little “Ah!”, it’s an “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” at the top of her lungs

- People can hear her from miles away

- She’s too used to playing Minecraft and Animal Crossing :(

- (She also gets scared at Minecraft cave ambience)

Rengoku

- He’s too much of an oblivious himbo to be scared of them

- The loud sounds do get him though. He just ends up flinching and then goes back to playing

- He gets so upset when he dies (especially if he’s doing good)

- Makes fun of how not creepy the game looks

- I think he has a thing for Doom tbh (even if he isn’t the best at playing it)

- Another favorite of his is In Silence, but he can never win because of how loud he is

- If you just happen to watch him play In Silence it is the FUNNIEST thing ever. He’s constantly dying

- In the end he really does enjoy playing horror games, even more if it’s with his friends

- Nothing fazes him

- He plays horror games alone in the dark at 3:00 AM

- While it is fun to play with other people, he always likes it more if he’s alone

so hi i got a new ‘puter - like an actual desktop computer [also a desk but not a chair, so i can’t sit at it for long amounts of time w/o hurting myself bc i’m using an old wooden kitchen chair fjdksl]

I keep EVERYTHING and it's probably why I keep running out of space to keep backups as my screenshots folder is about as big as mods folder and if not for me constantly taking out old saves to ALSO backup it would also be as massive. I really need to get like a massive drive that won't kill itself on me and put a million backups in there. I have no shame, I share shit with friends too and I have screenshots going back to my old crappy laptop in 2018. God I want bands so bad in Sims 4. I have modded drums but they are not the same, and they also broke pianos for me at the same time. I use Clubs as makeshift bands but it's not THE SAME and I've heard everyone sing and play guitar so many times I can just tell who is doing it despite all Sims having the same singing voice for some reason. I just KNOW who is more likely to just start singing or pull out a guitar and start doing it and who is more often distracted by flirting.

I'm inconsistent with building as it takes me forever to make a layout and it makes me doubt myself endlessly and I hate making roofs. But I like furnishing and doing layouts, I just try so hard to avoid making boxes that I give myself pain trying to make it 'interesting'. Which usually just means L shapes, how exciting and different. I think I've played too much Minecraft as I do the exact same fucking thing there.

I also can't build anything but houses. Every time I built anything else it failed spectacularly. I keep my awful restaurant because Alex works there and it's fun to sexually harass him at work and restaurants seem to work better without mods meant to fix them for some fucking reason for me, but I built a park once and it was so awful I deleted it from existence. WHY did that mod make restaurants break for me, chefs never showed up but waiters still did, so DUMB. It's supposed to make them work better, but it works better without it.

Tbh even looking at architecture for inspiration can help in creating your own floor plans as well

My only dine out issues are the constant resetting of my sims and the unreasonably long wait times so I haven’t ever really used any dine out fixes. I don’t normally play as a restaurant owner tho so maybe that’s why.

when i was a kid (by "kid" i mean like 16/17/18) i used to watching the gaming group who were known as "the creatures"

i don't know why but a few nights ago i spontaneously got the idea to play minecraft for the first time in like 8 years? and it's just crazy how much has changed. but it still brings back so many memories. of me playing minecraft. but also of me watching the creatures (they played a lot of minecraft.)

part of me wants to go back and watch those old videos. but goddamn i am way too sentimental. i know i'll probably have a mental breakdown if i do. i don't know why i'm like this but i can't stomach watching old shit that means a lot to me. because i watch it and i get overwhelmed by emotions; good and bad. like me and my father used to watch certain shows as a kid and sometimes i just want to put those shows on and indulge in those old memories. but i can't. i just can't bring myself to do it. it hurts.

i just wish i could go back. i wish i could watch them for the first time again. without all of this emotional baggage. i just wish i could go back to being a kid in general. i don't know why. it's not even like i had a particularly great childhood (woe is me). maybe that's even why i want to go back so badly? i don't know.

all i know is that i'm so tempted to watch the old creature videos. i have it opened right now but i can't press play. lmao. i was listening to the old minecraft soundtrack earlier and it fucked me up. it's funny because honestly my childhood was pretty shitty for a lot of reasons. but there are things like this that mean a lot to me. it probably sounds so lame. but it's the little shit like this that i cling to. i sometimes lament that i didn't have a normal life growing up (whatever "normal" means). i used to think i missing out on so much. because while my brother was out partying, hanging with friends, playing sports, etc, i was at home all alone immersed in books and my computer.

but at the same time, i'm kind of grateful. i may have missed out on some things. but that's life. you can't do everything. i can also say my brother missed out on stuff that i didn't. he missed out on the early internet. he missed out on all of these books; the knowledge and stories within them. he missed out on all of the fascinating people i met. yeah he had a lot of friends irl, but i was meeting people from all around the country and the world. yeah society probably values the experiences of my brother more. and that's fair tbh. it's probably true that my brother's experience was more "healthy". but i do look back fondly on some stuff. i think back on my memories of playing halo 2 with my online friends. sure, i'd never meet them irl but they were still my friends. and maybe we didn't go partying together but we still spent many late nights having lots of laughs.

and i keep finding myself reminiscing about the way the internet used to be. and it sounds cringe but i have a lot of fond memories of the old internet. maybe it's fucked that so many of my memories are "virtual" but what difference does it really make? people say the internet increases loneliness but i don't agree. i don't think i would have been more social without the internet. like i said, the internet was a gateway to socialization for me. without the internet i think i probably would have been ever more antisocial and reclusive. anyway i'm just rambling now. i've moved from my original point.

i'm just saying i'm feeling really nostalgic and sentimental tonight. and i'm just musing about how so many of my fond memories are just about searching the web, chatting with friends online, watching youtube videos, playing video games, etc. i think it'd be interesting if i could compare my memory and my brother's and how different our lives have been.

Thinking again about minecraft roleplay (specifically QSMP as the one I'm most familiar with) as being the online version of LARP (at least more freeform stuff) better than anything else I've ever see someone else try to run. What I play you have like... health, how much damage you do, resistance to supernatural stuff, /maaaybe/ a first aid or medicine or contacts skill, but otherwise every other skill you have to either find shit on location and 'learn' it (or steal a weapon), or you have to blag it from your background. And some people write their own backgrounds, and some people have them written by the refs.

(Weekend and one off events, anyway. The stuff I most often run is a bit heavier on the stats because it runs more like a video game dungeon. But I've run, played, and monstered the more freeform stuff too. There's also fest LARPs which seem to fall between the two, but camping plus my disabilities is not a good plan. I'd probably say QSMP is a fest LARP as there's /so many/ people and also they use mods to stimulate xp and buying new skills which weekend stuff doesn't have. But, in terms of the actual content it has very very very weekend horror event vibes.)

The streams also really run like it too? The weekend horror larps especially, but to an extent the other genre weekend ones too. You've got some characters mostly just chilling, others upturning every bookshelf and reading every book in detail looking for even a little hint. The sorts of puzzles I've seen - especially from Cellbit's streams - with leading you off into the woods and you find some obnoxious clues you don't have the info for... Even Cellbit's role in general tbh. Horror LARPs I play there's /always/ one or two guys everyone hands all the info and puzzles to, who'll drag the others in to help them on and off but mostly just chews on it and chews on it until the last 2 hours of the event where they go 'here's the plan' (Cellbit's difference is his plans don't tend to end in either victory or TPK, because the plot carries on - like Forever and the Happy Drugs would have been an entire weekend event self-contained how weekend events are done. And if they'd failed to sort it Forever probs would have blown them all up. Forever would be a plant not a player, but then he said he wrote it himself soooo yeah he absolutely was a plant in that [plant being a mostly player character but who has foreknowledge of some of the plot and has specific things they're scheduled to do as part of it. Kinda an NPC but the other players believe they're a player, and for most of the time they are until they usually die but sometimes something else]. Curing him would have been the end of that game, probably finalised by everyone escaping on a boat with the dread of Cucurucho lingering in the background with the Federation being the pet uber-enemy of the ref team which loosely ties a load of short stories together). And then some guys are just kinda there to eat the food and chill. And other characters are statted to fight and don't care about the puzzles. And all of these are perfectly valid playstyles, which you plan for a bit of.

IDK maybe I'll chew it even further down with comparisons to specific games, but maybe that'd make me too google-able. I'm just thinking again.

And the other things which come with it, like a lot of tabletop players call it 'just playing with swords' and frown on it for not having the same sort of mechanics, while re-enactors frown at it for being well fantasy and not having the educational/study element, and then society in general thinks the entire thing is weird.

Which... I mean you have roleplay streamers saying its just minecraft (see also ao3 making everything redirect to rpf tags), while video game streamers say you're playing the game wrong, while society pulls faces at you.

Hey no worries i have to interact with people i dont wanna all the time & have to take a moment & not be like that myself. Oh shit its school time already? Maybe some will know but the beauty is that eventually you reach a point where nobody will who you dont want to so fuck it we ball on that one. Lakeside beaches are also very good i think mt fuji in japan has some like. Lakeside beaches that offer a good view of it & i wanna see that. Im not sure what the definition of fancier english words is here but mostly you dont need them in my experience anyways. Even specific words have workarounds. Ah so making it easier & more generic but not going into the details like they used to. Thats a shame especially with how confusing english can get. I went one town over a week or two ago & it was 108 F, or 42 c i had to convert that, at like 8 at night i was dying. Totally fair sometimes knowing when to hold off is best & its nice to enjoy stuff later for certain things. Turned out i had enough for 2 ten pulls but kafka came home on the first so my luck got burned for a bit i think. Cant wait to use her. The story is interesting but ive been having. So much fun diving in fontaine i ignored the story for a whole day. Good luck on your gear maxing & eventual ender dragon fight! Ah yes a tough choice. Like antarctic sponges are theorized to live so long because the low temperature & high pressure slow their aging dramatically

You go over to your boyfriend ,Kenma’s, house every weekened to play on your shade survival minecraft world 

But one week you were too cramped to come over one week so you missed out on a gaming session 

At school the following week you heard Kuroo and the guys teasing Kenma over a new found gaming friend 

But you payed no attention

Now you’re done with your exams and ready to continue on w/ Kenma on fighting the enderdragon and building up your world

You get to Kenmas house an hour after finishing your school club, upon entering you hear him button smashing upstairs (per usual) but something not so usual was him giggling with laughter...

Kenma.Your stoic boyfriend Kenma. giggling..

Because of your confusion you slowly go up the stairs as his laughter ensues making you more perplexed ‘kenma barely talks to people that aren’t Kuroo and me, especially someone who makes him laugh this much’ you think to yourself.

“Ella, i’ve found the stronghold! Just follow me” Kenma exclaimed as you entered his bedroom “Yes Ella you have to press X to jump” he laughed again

‘Ella, who’s ella’ you think. You hear a response on the other end but you can make it out properly. Kenma and ‘Ella’ continue on speaking making plans on what they’re about to do next.. with Kenma not noticing you came into his room yet. You look at the TV and notice that Kenma is playing with someone else on YOUR world that you started which made you slightly agitated. 

You purposefully drop your bag a tad too aggressively, but that seems to work as you catch Kenmas attention as he turns to you for a split second as he mumbles quitely “Oh hey babe” before swiftly getting engrossed again into the game.

Annoyed, you sit on next to him on the bed waiting.. JUST WAITING for some proper acknowledgement to which you received none. You just sat there mindlessly scrolling through your phone as he continuously talked with Ella AND coached her through killing the ender dragon (a plan that you and Kenma said to do together since the beginning of your minecraft survival world idea)

After almost an hour of just sitting there idly, you decide to get up pick up your bag and leave. Hoping just hoping that your ‘oh-so great and caring’ boyfriend would take off his headset and stop you from leaving. But this isn’t a movie of course... so no Kenma did not run straight after you pull you into his arms and comfort you. He stayed in his room laughing away with Ella putting you at the back of his mind.

You go straight home and cry still wishing for a follow-up text on the incident that happened at Kenmas but no response there.

Luckily for you, it was half term break meaning there was no school for a couple weeks so you didn’t have to face the awkward confrontation or lack thereof with Kenma at school. But it was unlucky for you since usually every half term and weekend you’d spend at Kenmas but obviously now you can’t.

You do wonder if he’s thought about texting or calling you to reconcile or even just thought about you at all. You desperately wanted to reach out to him, but with your relationship you do feel that you’re the one that always has to start the conversation after you’ve had a ‘falling out.’ So all you do is wait ( assuming that you’ve broke up or something for now.)

The two weeks of break has ended and now you’re back at school waiting to face the music. The whole day, you felt anxious waiting to bump into him in the corridor or see him at lunch but you never did.

Later that day you get a message..

Kuroo: Hey y/n! How have you been ??

Y/N: Fine.. i guess

Kuroo: How are things with Kenma

Y/N: Tbh I don’t really know, we haven’t spoken since the weekend...two weeks ago I don’t think we’re together anymore..

Kuroo: Y/N don’t say that you and Kenma are definitley how do you spell deathfinetly? still together just meet him today at the arcade at 8pm and ALL WILL BE REVEALED 

Y/N: okay....

Kuroo: DW Y/N! It’ll all be fine

Nervous, you get changed (making sure to look extra cute because this may be the last time you’ll have the title of ‘Kenma’s Girlfriend’ :(( ) You arrive at the arcade and look around for a second before spotting Kenma at the race car game (where you had your first date) and it looks to you he is hiding something behind his back..

When you reached him he looked very shy (even more so then usual) and you were about to speak before he shouted

“Y/N!” he said cringing at the volume of his own voice “ I need to tell you something, more like show you..”

You stood before him with your arms crossed silently tapping your foot waiting on him to continue. Surprisingly, he brings in front of you a little girl who looked about 8 or 9 with a very very cute face.

“n-n-nice to meet you” she bowed in front of you a blush covering her face

“Y/N this is Ella” Kenma said “My new step-sister”

You were shocked to say the least Kenma having a new sister that was great but didn’t answer ALL your questions. Judging your facial expressions Kenma led you and him to sit down letting Ella go on play (as you obviously watch her close-by) 

“Okay, I know you’re probably confused but Ella is ma’s new boyfriends daughter and that time you came over my house was my first time ‘meeting’ her so instead of doing it physically I thought the best thing to do was to play minecraft with her and as I was so focused on that I kinda sorta forgot about our usual dates and over half term I went over to hyogo were Ella and her dad live for the break to meet them officially I’m sorry very very very sorry Y/N for not contacting you i just assumed you were mad at me ... which you still probably are now so i understand if you want to break up and i-” Kenma stops hearing you slightly chuckle looking exasperated after all that rambling. 

Thats the most you’ve ever heard Kenma speak in one go ever and you thought it was endearing that he has a new sister. Of course you were mad that your boyfriend that he neglected you for weeks but you were definitley over that and wanted to just continue on with your life with him.

Kenma stared at you expecting some form of response and all you did was stand up, go to him and pat his head. 

“You’re so cute kenma” you said “Of course I was mad, but i get it now”

“So are we still boyfr-”

“Miss Y/N” asked Ella looking up at you awww how cute “Are you and nii-chan boyfrined and girlfriend”

Kenma and Ella both stared at you expectedly waiting on your response (Kenma more than Ella)

“Of course he’s my boyfriend sweetie!” You said ruffling her head and you hear Kenma sigh in relief “Let’s go play some games now come one Kenma”

You hold Kenma’s hand as Ella runs ahead of you

“Also Kenma..” you let go of his hand “You let her play on our world..seriously”

Kenma awkwardly rubs the back of his neck and chuckles

“I’ll make it up to Y/N dont worry “ he said

And he did do that indeed, as it seems over the break he built a mansion for you and him and reset the end so you complete the ender dragon with him. But you did also include Ella in on your world now and you and her got closer to the point where she will call you nee-chan.
