80 or so years of life really ain't enough can I have an elf lifespan instead please? Or at least a dwarf's... I need at least a couple hundred years... Oh and a new spine every 5 or so years, if that's not too much to ask. 3. 3 years actually. Yeah, a new spine every 2 years, and a lifespan of 350-750 years, that's all I want really.

Or 60? Or 80? ruyan is literally so beautiful that i get ill looking at her
#a lot of my time as a person who cant recognize himself to the point that if you start asking about myself im going to lie to you#is that i really like to engage with media that asks you to be present in the text by creating an outside being who simply has#some similarities to me#like the concepts i know i have. but make them their own unique person#so ruyan is really fun in that if i was a well adjusted person she would probably be a self insert and not her own person#but instead by the grace of god and my own mental problems she exists and is a full person that i practically see as a friend#like when i like a character so much that they become a comfort to me (emil) my brain engages in relationship interpretation to that#chartacter. emil is my daughter who i feel paternal sentiments to despite me being a human person and her being code in a video game#for ruyan she is like a friend where i want to go to her wedding and see her kids and hear about her life#i may have made her but i watch her as if i just met her'#recognizing this thing i have going on has helped me immensely be comfortable with myself#ruyan is a friend to me a sister tock is my daughter who i feel a real world father-daughter dynamic towards#i feel the need to nourish her and entertain her and put her to bed and let her know i love her#and you dont have to think this is normal because if you by now havent harbored some sort of#This Guy is Weird sentiment towards me youre either like me or VERY kind#but i know that i have parts of me that are weird. i am 23 years old bringing toys to the beach#but i dont chase validation so much as i just enjoy when its given to me#but i dont need validation because i cant even form my own self to need validation for#im learning about myself like im wiping down an old mirror. that doesnt need validation because im seeing it for the first time#im having my understanding moment here and you are free to leave the room and leave me to my mirrow

amazing that the world cup final didn't kill me. the drama. the plot twists. the penalties, the extra time, the penalties. literally everyone on the field crying. my heart rate still hasn't settled

little soup cans are some of the neatest things we have, wish there were more soup-can-like things in this world
#just me hi#though canopeners need to stop being deadly weapons to some degree before that hfhs#'they're not deadly tho ?' well usually yes. but did you know that they can age Badly? i did not!#and the one I was using was dulled to an extent that it would Skip over a part of the can#(nearly the same spot every time lol) and when I thought I'd managed to fool it and had only#the tiniest bit of metal between me and some beans (pretty sure it was beans) I thought#'ohh I'll just pull up the can lid :)' Well the lid snapped off completely towards and Into my hand#and I had a bean-can wound on my pinky for about a week or so. I do not know how long it's been lol#//but soup cans are pretty cool I feel like they're kinda underappreciated !!#you can just have Soup ? Whenever ??? and it's Normal !! wow :D#sure making soup is pretty great. but that's a process man. and we're not even associates#[<- 'a process I am (not) intimate with']#like there is a little can of menudo in the pantry rn - medunito they call it isn't that just !! - and it's just there. it can be made in#like 10 minutes. is this Not the best thing ever ! ?#//I've also gotta figure out this sleeping thing that I've got going on (everybody has it going on)#I was maybe half a week into actually have a consistent thing going but the night I stopped was bc I am a sucker of a storyteller and we#were up til about. I think 4-6 a.m.#that's on me yes. my siblings vs. my desire to tell stories and rubber willpower hfbdh#a deadly match truly#and also I lost my snoopy watch (RIP snoopy watch you will be missed (I can't find it send help Waough)) and that was the only clock I had#in this room so now if I wanna know the time I have to go the living room - which is like a whole dang thing lemme tell you about it#/first I've gotta get up - easiest thing by far - and get to the door - assuming I don't get KO'd by my siblings' belongings on the floor -#get to the door. the door Is broken to some extent. opening it means a loud THDPD noise is sent throughout the entire house lol. and you#have to yank on the thing to get it open - so double effort there - and then you step out into the hallwayish area where you can then enter#the living room - oh so easy! but No! you then have to either turn on the kitchen lights and wake everyone with their door open or sleeping#in the living room for whatever reason Orrr you have to clamber over chairs pots perhaps a cat if you've got real bad luck that night to ge#up nice n personal to the clock so you can read the dang thing and see it's 11:23. which is like nothing so you stay up Anyway and do not#check the clock again because not only was that a hassle but also you released every creature that was in the room with you (that's a lot o#noise). but Yea the clock situation is ongoing hfbsh#'why don't you get a clock' that would be much too easy loll :) (last one disappeared and we keep forgetting lol) //ran out of tag space so

#Doodles#Original#Yanderapy#So this one's a bit convoluted but hang with me lol - y'know how I mentioned that I came up with their names quite quickly?#But also how I specifically mentioned that Mitsuru's name was easy for me? Lol yeah Ishida didn't really want to play nice at first#I got Ishida quickly so that was no problem but I kept waffling on his first name#I knew I wanted it to be something to do with his placement in his family but that was part of the problem!#That meant I had to think about siblings! And if /he/ got thoughts about siblings then so did Mitsuru! And then everything exploded lol#But that is how I ended up with Ichiro (lit. firstborn son) and then the rest of the family dynamics unfolded from there#He's being silly in the last one lol - he never had a twin that he consumed he's not a chimera - but his parents did want more children#They didn't lose any or anything they just had a lot of trouble conceiving until they finally ended up with Ichiro#They named him according to their wishes but he ended up being an only child anyhow - at least so far but considering he's 23 now lol#And that leads to all the thoughts I did with the Maeda family! All the Maeda kids were planned very carefully#Well - by their parents anyhow lol I made them for the meme hahaha#They're all exactly four years apart give or take a few months haha#Makoto is basically a carbon carbon of their dad and Kanoko of their mom - Mitsuru got the proper mix of genes between them#He's also the youngest so he has the perfect mix of being babied and looking up to and wanting to be just like his older sisters#I love the sisters already ahhh <3 Makoto got married to her wife in her late 20s and Kanoko started dating just a year before Mitsu did#Also for the record Kanoko-chan does like men she just currently has a girlfriend lol - Mitsu also likes girls but he currently loves Ishida#Oh and Kanoko got her nickname (Kinoko (lit. mushroom)) from Makoto when they were little and it stuck haha#It suits her since she's a basement dweller lol#I had so much fun with this family ahhh <3 They're all so cute!

thinking about go-onger again
#mainly about the ages bc nothing is really specific like gunpei is the eldest (likely in his mid 20s) and saki is a recent hs grad so she's#probably around 18/19 (according to episode 42)#and since she's the one who's graduated most recently than she's probably the youngest (episode 42)#and nearly everyone drives at some point so everyone is an adult#i do see a lot of old posts on sites saying hant is a teenager (16/17) but i've never seen anything to back that#like his actor was 16/17 when filming but actors in sentai often play older roles (ie kaoru's actress in shinkenger was around 15 but kaoru#is 17 and tsuruhime's actress was around 14 when she did kakuranger but tsuruhime turns 16 in the series)#hant works part time but that just seems to be the kind of person he is like he's very money-driven but also isn't the type to want to work#a job that takes all his time esp when he's a go onger#miu seems to be drinking champagne at a point (ex. ep 29) so she's probably over 20 and hiroto is older so yeah#renn and sosuke seem to be between 20-23 (sosuke has to be over 18 to race and he's been doing it for a while so yeah and#renn seems to fall close in age to sosuke so i'd say somewhere around there)#okay maybe i'm overthinking this#umbrella.thoughts#umbrella.posts#umbrella.reflection

arknights anime hits different when you’ve read chapter 8
#who gives a hoot#really adds a lot of context to ch 1-2 (not so much 3 since skullshatterer is a separate entity in reunion)#it's very satisfying watching the battles in motion instead of just flashing screens and moving sprites#the anime does a decent job at adaptation but like. ch 1-3 aren't the best part of the main story#which is....a little damning since it's the beginning??? lmao#but when it picks up you'll end up like me (<-- permanent brainrot)#but it does the job /and/ you don't have to read through pages worth of text#which is one of the game's weaker points: the superfluous padding in the text where it doesn't need any#the story isn't perfect#but if ppl are holding university lectures on ingame geology#and creating complicated 50+ person cosplay music videos with real props/scenery#or even writing 23 page long essays on the mechanics of one character (rosmontis)#then it has to be getting something right#idk man i just love this game in a way i'm unable to articulate bc i'm Stupid#i think the reason the first three chapters are lacking is bc of all the exposition and worldbuilding#outside of talulah incinerating in sight anyway and [redacted]

I've been trying to figure out what these weird phases I've been going through since I "became an adult," and I've just realized I've gone through the five stages of grief about the state of the world

Its 11 o'clock at night and I'm suddenly reminded of the core memory of me on call with my boyfriend and his sister and them showing me Matilda, because I hadn't seen it before. Not because the movie was necessarily a core thing to experience but I remember watching the first half and then being overtaken by so much pain that I sat in the bathroom of my parents house, in the bathtub, and spent the rest of the movie teetering in and out of consciousness, trying *desperately* to pay attention to the movie because my boyfriend went out of his way to show it to me.

turbulent events have happened tonight
#celebrated international children's day with my high school english teacher#yes we have been friends for almost 10 years. since i was in 9th grade#yes he is 19 years older than me#talked about the old friend group which consisted about like three of us high school girls and a bunch of college guys who were all at least#4 or 5 years older than us. yes every guy crushed on the same girl at one point. i was in a relationship with the oldest of them#one of them who was tangentially in the group now has psychiatric problems. i don't know the specifics. he was to get married to this random#ass girl who got pregnant at 22/23 by another guy#idk who exactly but suffice to say they are not together anymore#we discussed my cancer situation. my ex (who apparently will love me forever) was crying a lot about it and seemed shaken up#even at their little guys christmas reunion last year#he texted me in december saying a part of me lives and will always live inside of him and that he loves me no matter what#i was honestly at a complete loss for words because we broke up 5 years ago. we literally had no future together#one of the other guys apparently said back in december that it was no use texting me encouraging words because we had drifted apart#that is the same guy i crushed on for 6 years. i still wished him a happy birthday in april tho.#it's okay because my crush on him vanished as soon as i realized he's a little piece of shit human. still likeable tho#and that is the issue. anyway. maybe i shouldn't have said piece of shit he's more like an annoying asshole which you still find endearing#talking to him now makes me realize he was never all that. high school me just thought he did really interesting things (which admittedly#were very interesting for that time and for our little town)#about my ex tho#even though i have no feelings for him anymore i think it's really beautiful that what we had is staying with him like that. i hope#it doesn't stop him from having a healthy and loving relationship in the future#i know he had multiple relationships after me but none of them really worked out. i really hope he finds that happiness#the way that i have

I talk to many people who say things like "oh I have trauma but I don't have PTSD", but then when I talk to them a little more I realize that they most likely do, they just can't recognize it as such due to how lacking PTSD awareness is, even beyond the whole "it's not just a veteran's disorder" thing.
The main reason they think they don't have PTSD usually has to do with flashbacks and nightmares, either they have one but not the other or have neither. But here's the thing, those are only two symptoms out of the 23-odd recognized symptoms. Flashbacks and nightmares are two of the five symptoms under Criterion B (Intrusion), which you only need one of for a diagnosis. The other three symptoms are unwanted upsetting memories, emotional distress after being reminded of trauma and physical reactivity after being reminded of trauma (i.e. shaking, sweating, heart racing, feeling sick, nauseous or faint, etc). Therefore you can have both flashbacks and nightmares, one but not the other, or neither and still have PTSD.
In fact, a lot of the reasons people give me for why they don't think they have PTSD are literally a part of the diagnostic criteria.
"Oh, I can barely remember most parts of my trauma anyway." Criterion D (Negative Alterations in Cognition and Mood) includes inability to recall key features of the trauma.
"Oh but I don't get upset about my trauma that often because I avoid thinking of it or being around things that remind me of it most of the time." Criterion C (Avoidance) includes avoiding trauma-related thoughts or feelings and avoiding trauma-related external reminders, and you literally cannot get diagnosed if you don't have at least one of those two symptoms.
"Oh I just have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, but I don't have nightmares." Criterion E (Alterations in Arousal and Reactivity) includes difficulting sleeping outside of nightmares.
"But I didn't have many/any trauma symptoms until a long time after the trauma happened." There's literally an entire specification for that.
Really it just shows how despite being one of the most well-known mental illnesses, people really don't know much about PTSD. If you have trauma, I ask you to at least look at the criteria before you decide you don't have PTSD. Hell, even if you don't have trauma, look at the criteria anyway because there are so many symptoms in there that just are not talked about.
PTSD awareness is not just about flashbacks and nightmares.

My favourite things about the whole OceanGate disaster, in no particular order
That the vessel was originally named Cyclops II but the CEO renamed it to Titan, so it’s even BETTER than the Titanic
He also called it indestructible
The guy piloting the vessel is an ex-naval captain who has been on several titanic manned trips. But the guy is 77 rn
The billionaire from Pakistan is apparently friends with King Charles. You’d think for someone who’s besties with a guy whose job was literally being born, he’d care more about protecting his bloodline. Instead, he brought his 19 year old with him
Meanwhile, the stepson of one of the other billionaires (I think the British one named Hamish) went to a Blink 182 concert. When questioned about this, he basically went “my family would want me to go to the concert”. Today, minutes after posting about asking for thoughts and prayers, he @‘ed an OF model on Twitter, asking her to sit on his face
Bc it’s part of the safety demo & music track list for the trip, there is a VERY good chance that if there’s still some power left in the sub, it’s playing an instrumental of My Heart Will Go On on loop
Also, the vessel is a submersible bc it doesn’t meet literally any of the safety regulations to be called a submarine. Which the CEO knew, because he’s blatantly said that safety regulations get in the way of progress
The CEO once stated that he thought the future of humanity was not in space, but in the ocean when the surface becomes uninhabitable
Apparently the controller he’s using has REAL bad reviews because the connection always fails
