It's more likely to find pedophiles in the comment section of child influencers than loli-shota hentai in pixiv
I could vent about family/child influencers for so long oh my god. Should literally qualify as abuse 95% of the time.

Your f/o would not be mean to you for using stim toys (or for stimming in general). They would not be embarrassed to be seen with you, they would not find you annoying, and they would only want you to stop/redirect if you were really hurting yourself.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for owning/collecting plushies or other "childish" things. In fact, they might even buy more of them for you if it's something you'd like to receive as a gift.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for talking to them about your special interests. They're always so happy to see you enjoying something you're passionate about. They'll ask you questions about it and maybe even try to get into it themself so you can share that together.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for avoiding certain foods/ingredients because of sensory issues. They'll always make sure you have foods that you enjoy with nothing that you don't like in it. They don't think you're just being picky and they wouldn't try to trick you to eat anything.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for being "too sensitive". Even if they don't understand exactly why you're feeling a certain way, they respect your feelings and will do anything they can to help you feel better again.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for messing up or making mistakes, or for needing instructions confirmed several times so you can avoid making a mistake. They don't think you're stupid. They'd never think that.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for having a meltdown. They know it's not your fault and they know you're aren't just throwing a tantrum on purpose. They will do anything to help you through it.
Your f/o would not be mean to you for not having the spoons to do something. They wouldn't accuse you of being lazy or selfish. If it was something that really needed to be done they would help you or they would do it for you.
Your f/o would never see you as a burden. They only ever see you as the person they love. 💕

imagine your F/O making you feel loved in the worst (or best) way possible.
carving your name on their skin, kissing you in your sleep, sabotaging any romantic relationships you may have and then comforting you and sneaking into your house and leaving love letters are just a few of the things they do for love…

“The self ship community is great because it isn’t defined by fandom!”
> Uses fandom terms and tells proshippers to fuck off
Like do you even hear yourself? Being pro or anti ship doesn’t matter, as long as you aren’t hurting anyone. We’re all playing with our barbie doll blorpos in a sandbox, be nice for fucks sake.

“This fiction could be used to groom minors!”
I hate to break this to you but literally any type of fiction can be used to groom minors. Even “unproblematic” fiction.

Is it true that desensitization (ig that's the right word) can make other people take other issues less seriously?
If it does, there's a way to stop it?
In a way, yes.
For example, antis use the word pedophile VERY flippantly. Personally, now, every time I hear that somebody is called a pedophile, I question what anime character they're simping over instead of immediately going 'oh my god, they're hurting a child'. And that is only one of a multitude of applicable examples.
Wanna stop it? Push to use proper terminology. Don't call people zoophiles if their only 'zoo behavior' is jacking it to feral art. Correct anybody who does call them a zoo. Take Fiona Maray as an example. I've seen her called a zoophile because she has an nsfw ref with equine anatomy. That is incorrect. Claiming that that makes her a zoophile dulls the meaning.
Some folks keep claiming that kero is a zoosadist. That is incorrect. He is a convicted zoophile, which is correct. However, he is not a zoosadist. Calling him a zoosadist improperly utilizes that term and takes away from the meaning.
Using terms properly takes away from desensitization. Follow the proper definitions.

Recently, I've been seeing an influx of antis who believe that problematic/taboo content is bad because it's all "shock value" or "fetish content."
I need to remind everyone that art does not have to have deeper meaning to bring you joy.
So what if what you mostly read is omegaverse smut? So what if you enjoy art of your taboo ships doing things that aren't directly sending a message? So what if the thing you enjoy is seen as "meaningless" because it does not outright criticise something in it?
When we say that we should be allowed to explore dark fiction, we don't just mean content that dictates a certain moral ideal— we mean every single piece of fiction, "icky" or not!
Because— guess what happens when we ban these "gross," "meaningless" artworks? We'll end up arguing over what is "meaningful" enough, and then everything becomes restrictive! This is no slippery slope fallacy. This is a pattern every attempt at censorship in history has followed.
To support "gross" fiction is to support dark fiction, and to support dark fiction is to support our collective freedom to fiction.
Keep reading what makes you smile 💜💜

Something that’s always baffled me is so many antis being into really violent or dark media and that’s totally fine for some reason, but as soon as anything is suggestive or sexual it’s evil.
Sex isn’t special. It doesn’t have some special power to corrupt people more than violence. If watching horror movies or playing violent games isn’t going to make me into a murderer, then making or consuming sexual content isn’t going to make me a predator either.
Putting sex on this pedestal as something sacred or special is a big problem. It’s just another activity a human can do like eating or sleeping. The sooner people can just be normal about sex, the sooner all this Puritanism will stop I think. Easier said than done tho…
