ahhh yes! i've been back and forth on the decision but i honestly like twst too much NOT to write for it. so it will be joining the family on this blog :)

it was so, so warm.

there were a multitude of reasons why, all of which contributed to the rising heat in your system. maybe it was the cozy knit sweater you pulled on earlier heating you up. maybe it was the arm wrapped around you waist, holding you loosely into a warm chest. or maybe it was the flames licking at your cheeks, blood gathering in your face-- err, no, maybe it was the literal flames rubbing your skin.

idia's hair crackles around you, warm tendrils brushing your skin affectionately despite the stiffness of his whole body. you can see the tinge of pink gathering at this tips of his hair, for sure coordinating with the blush that must be staining his pale cheeks. to check would be to break rule number one of cuddling with him-- don't look at him, or he'll die.

"this... this is some real normie shit," idia mumbles lowly.

"would you like to stop?" you murmur, and his body tenses under you. "we can stop if you want to."

silence. his hand runs awkwardly across the length of your arm, fingers wobbly as he makes no move to release you. it's his silent way of saying no, this is fine.

"... am i doing this wrong? this feel wrong," he continues.

you break the golden rule and lift your head to look at him-- his heart pounds wildly against his chest, and idia physically shrinks away from your loving gaze. his eyes are wide and cheeks bright pink as he grips your sleeve in embarrassment. but you don't let him get any words out before pressing a quick peck on his lips and snuggling back into his chest.

"you're doing just fine. i like cuddling with you."

idia gawks stiffly in the space where you once were. his face burns brighter now-- reflected in the almost obnoxious crackle of his hair as it heats up with the rest of him-- and he swears his whole body will wither away from embarrassment. this normie shit is too high-level, he's certainly doing something wrong, but you just kissed him like that and he can feel his brain shut down on him like a corrupted hardrive--

... maybe it's okay if you look at him all sweet like that. don't make it a habit, though-- his fragile otaku heart can't handle so much love at once.

Like when i come home to my cats when I've been around other 1s they treat me like i cheated on them or they're SUPER curious abt it. 🐱🐈

They’d definitely be a bunch of nosy bitches-

tho at the same time I don’t think they’d be too bad about it….

After a while they’d just get used to lower level demons randomly trying to scent them just to see what would happen (or something like that-)

so unless the scent is really strong and obviously from a noble demon or higher angel I don’t think they’d make a big deal out of-

This may have been answered before, but I'm gonna ask anyway.

Will Mc Have a chance to reconcile with Arthur if they pushed him down the well? I'd like to think they've been mostly indifferent/a little antagonistic towards Arthur mainly out of fear, like they've been told how dangerous it is if people discover and that they need to be prepared and able to hide etc. and then this kid, brought by their beloved uncle, is now in their safe space and they don't know if he's safe and now they don't really have a safe space anywhere. Like, they really regret pushing Arthur, they never wanted him hurt, just not at their home. Would Arthur be willing to give them one more chance or is all of his goodwill gone?

Hiii ! Yes, reconciliation is possible. Arthur is not above giving a second chance. Arthur's a good egg. Zephyr will be harder to forgive.

i've been going through A Time but my lectures start up again soon so the routine will help, i hope you're doing well too!!

as for your question, since you want a longer answer (though some bits may still be vague to avoid spoilers), i'll put it under the cut :)

this is honestly a difficult one, i love all my characters, however i think i can answer this if i split it into two; characters in general, and specifically the romanceable options

of the ROs, i'd have to say T. Bellefleur, I've made it pretty obvious that Tally is one of my favourites, i think, but i'm a sucker for sarcastic characters. having said that if you put me in a poly with A. Caras and Tally i think i would be just as happy. looking at my plans for their routes, the different types of MCs and the ways they can learn to navigate around Caras and Tally and the unique/individual ways they express their emotions really draws me in.

of the characters in general? that was a little tougher, there are so many options to consider. i think, though, i would have to say Mirella (Mimi) Acierno or Hex Seif.

Mimi (she/her) is the MC's personal maid, she's bubbly and strong-willed and will care for the MC deeply regardless of how they treat her because that's just who she is as an individual. i really admire that kind of person, and i think she would be a delight to be around.

Hex (he/they) is one of the townsfolk that MC has the option to interact with on days off (and certain work activities), he's playful and friendly, but there's just something about him that seems...off. they may be a bit of a cliche, to some, but the exploration and things you can learn about him as you develop a friendship with Hex (including his actual name, because it isn't 'Hex') is something that would be so fun to explore.

I joke of course 😅 I actually wanted the cat to be a bonus RO when I first started the game - but the game will have 5 chapters at most in total, so not enough time to delve into (insert cat's name here) tragic backstory of his once kingly days 👀

I might make it a side game, like a cutesy DLC where you can break his curse and voila, romance your former familiar 😅 I first need to actually finish the main game though, so it'll be quite a while before I tackle that.

Bit of an odd question but if the main cast were all in a rock band together what instruments would they play? I feel like Li would make a good singer…if their vocal cords aren’t fried from their frankencoffee creations 😬

Kana already plays guitar and sings, so their role in the band would be pretty obvious, but I think for the sake of this I'd put them as the lead singer!

Li is a decent singer. not a great one, but mostly because they've never tried to be. I could really see them on lead guitar

Rory would be drummer, definitely. big Arejay Hale energy

Sebastian, I think, would play bass. he just has bassist vibes, I dunno why

Azalea is a tough one here, just because I'm not sure in a situation like this if she'd try to hide from the spotlight or would thrive in it. but I think she'd want to play all the "backup instruments". rhythm guitar and piano/keyboard and stuff like that, depending on what a song needs

For Atlas, he’s been waiting for the other shoe to drop for ages now. Hearing MC finally pull the plug, he’s almost relieved. It means he really was right, really did have good sense to consistently pull away and never commit fully, and he believes it saved him a lot of heartbreak. Even if he can’t quite look at MC the same. If its due to a good reason, he’s surprisingly courteous about it, and tries not to involve MC in his internal angst. Needs some time for certain.

Puck has been broken up with before and even though it’s never fun, it hurts a little more to hear MC break it off. They can’t force MC to feel something though, and maybe foolishly believes that someday they can work stuff out for the better. Until then though, they want to treat the whole thing very maturely, and will be very honest about how things feel, as they know bottling up their feelings is only going to leave them worse off. Can’t help the nagging feeling in the back of their mind that this was all inevitable though.

Of all the things Skye doesn’t want to hear, listening to MC break things off is by far the worst of them all. Instantly tries looking for answers and any way she can improve and make herself better so they don’t have to truly end things like this, and panics when there’s no way she can solve the situation. To her, she knows, as naive as she acts, that she won’t be the same with MC after this. It’s a low feeling in her gut that makes her want to curl up into a ball and wake up from this nightmare, but the fear of losing that friendship with MC, even separate from losing the relationship, is devastating to her.

At fist, Reese doesn’t believe MC. Of course they’re joking he’s jokes the same thing before. When the joke doesn’t stop though, the nightmare sets in. He’s instantly defensive, getting angry and snappish. He has to cut off these feelings, cut off this vulnerability before the tidal wave of emotions swallow him whole and extinguish him in the process. He’s looking for any in back to MC, any conversation they could’ve had earlier or anything he could’ve done something different but when that doesn’t come, he isolates himself. Enough getting hurt by people he loves. He’s tired of it.

have a theory that MCs familiar isn’t just some regular familiar and therefore they either have a humanoid form ORRRRRRR they can take any form they want 🧐
