Hiiiiii!

Books. Reading. Absolutely. With a side of my comfort shows on, like The Good Place (yes, that's a comfort show for me). Or potentially blowing shit up in a computer game. (Or, when I really feel like it, diving into Baldur's Gate 3 and going on a killing spree. Ahem. I have... tendencies in games. I used to go nuts in Starcraft.)

And of course, snuggling with my cats. I have several who are becoming lap cats and being super-affectionate with me, so that's always soothing.

I have finished The Angst Version™~ (of chapter 50 of The Harrowing by @chthonion >:D) The bonus chapter added some stuff/re-inspired me, which is all to the good imo~ gotta get that Maximum Angst Factor AMMIRIGHT?? >:D (also. Mostly paraphrasing stuff just so you're aware~)

Then we got some of the conversation~ (without dialogue, 'cause a picture tells a thousand words~ >:D)

Then a sketch that was completely inspired by the bonus chapter-

It's not as 'polished' as the other ones, I just had thoughts about that tidbit and decided I absolutely had to mention it- so it got a drawing to match. :D

And finally, because I don't want to end this on too depressing a note-

I'm not crying, you are.

My personal favourites include Extra Angry Maedhros + hands over the face Annatar, - then- actually. y'know what? I can't pick favourites. I like them all too much to do that. But that was the 'segment' that I experimented on - to try and convey the emotions through how chaotic/forceful the lines were, and it worked exactly how I wanted it to. Which is very satisfying.

(also, I don't think Maedhros was quite that visibly angry in the actual chapter, but it's supposed to be a mix of that plus Annatar's perception of him/what made Annatar panic. Make of that what you will. Eheh. Eheh. Eheh. >:D)

I can still kinda feel it 😂)#though typically once I realise I'm doing it then I will exaggerate it so I can 'feel' the pose I'm trying to draw #I really like the 'dripping' effect I did on maedhros tbh #it was kind of a last minute 'I have space that needs filling' decision #and it worked better than I thought it would #Finished all of these (apart from the first two) today #cause I know myself well enough to know I would get majorly distracted if I didn't.#And I have a LOT of assignments to get through this week 😅#(this was kind of procrastinating but like. And he pushed her away HARD many MANY times over the years for whatever BS reason he could think of #and they've finally gotten to a place (and it's a year later than would have been better for everyone) where this is permanent.#This is safe. This is home. They're stuck with each other.#And I love the contrast between Matt anxiously trying to convince Kristen and his gf that there's a threat and he has to go DO STUFF and #how different the reaction is when he says the same things (albeit with more detail) to Frank and Karen. It's night and day.#He's only a real person with people who know his secret identity.#There's something delicious about a phone call being where Matt's stuck. As if he doesn't have a history of dodging her calls. And I get #that he would have welcomed calls now - or in the last year - but there are so many scenes were poor karen is just getting shutdown by Matt #and Foggy. Calls unanswered or ended quickly. Because they have other stuff going on and lying to her is hard so it's easier not to pick up #And then you have Frank who is like... a fugitive? A hermit basically. Someone off the grid. Living in a basement. Who has an active cell #plan and has made sure Karen has his number in case she needs it. And he clearly answers when she rings. And there's no one else ringing.#So it's basically a phone - maybe specifically so Karen can reach out.#AND I LOVE THE FRAMING OF THIS SHOT. I love how close Matt and Karen are sitting. I love that Frank is pretending to ignore them.#Coz there's no way he's okay with how close they are. But he's not going to make it weird because he's a good friend to Karen.#Maybe I should blame Karen for me shipping every ship that involves Karen.

imagine going to bed with your f/o. crawling into the bed and settling under soft blankets. feeling the heat from their body create a cozy pocket of warmth. imagine drifting to sleep to the sound of their soft breathing, and depending where you live, to the sounds of traffic or crickets or planes. basking in the soft gray light from the moon, casting stripes from the slats in the blinds onto your blanket.

alternatively, imagine going to bed before your f/o. they're getting home extra late, and they don't want you to lose sleep waiting up for them. you drift to sleep, waking slowly when you hear them arrive home. imagine hearing them stepping gently around your home, setting down their things, maybe getting a snack or a glass of water. you can see the warm golden light from outside your bedroom. they make their way to the bathroom and turn on the shower, and the ambient pitter-pattering of the water lulls you to sleep again, until you feel them finally climb into bed next to you. they wrap their arms around you and kiss the top of your head before falling asleep themselves.

there's nothing to do the next day, no alarms set, just pure peace ♡

All the Robins are sitting criss-cross applesauce on a plush carpet, summoned by Dick Grayson to play "truth or dare but without a dare and you can choose what to spill" (Dick is work-shopping the name).

Tim raises his hand: Why aren't Cass and Barbara here?

Jason: I thought this was a Robin-only meeting.

Tim: No, Dick told me it was a Robin and Batgirl meeting.

Dick: Cass volunteered to distract B so we can bond uninterrupted. And Babs...

Steph: She laughed in his face and said "no thanks."

Jason: I did that too and yet I'm here.

Dick: That's different, Little Wing :)
