Oh! That’s most certainly Mitzi, on first read I didn’t look close and thought that was Atlas’s silhouette. All the old crew are caught adrift in what was, huh.
Which means that which ‘makes light for dead eyes’ is the dead tree… does it represent Atlas? Or the dead husk of what he built, upon which Mordecai Mitzi and Victor project so much?
Tumblr media
What is that veining the tree? Lightning?( the crackles certainly suggest so).
Or is it water ? a flood slowly seeping through the dead husk of what was built, until it all cataclysmically crumbles (the primary mechanisms of which would be ROT and slowly building water pressure, very thematically appropriate).
They’re in a desert, with a singular dead tree. a trickle would bring life, a deluge will lead to flash flooding and destroy the tree. But I’m not sure what water IS metaphorically in that interpretation of the scenario. I do know that the great flood of 1927 is coming.
There’s a storm brewing in the sky(which would bring WATER), maybe they’re all waiting for lightning to strike twice — that would make Atlas’s first entrance into their lives a metaphorically lightning strike, ultimately destructive. And if the tree crackles with energy, then perhaps that suggests that is what M&M&V are doing — living off the aftershocks of energy, waiting for another lightening strike even if that might mean doom.
Interesting, not quite sure what to make of it, except that living trapped in memory is unlikely to end well for any of them!

catch me looking up nightingale symbolisms for tales of the passerine. if danny's using the name of a songbird for a hero name, regardless of familial connections, i will utilize the symbolism tied to the bird. Anyways general gist of the nightingale symbolism i've seen, other than what wikipedia told me, is that nightingales were frequently symbolisms of spring renewal, loss/death, love, etc. catch me about to incorporate music into Danny's character
#dpxdc#danny fenton is not the ghost king#tales of the passerine au#musician danny ftw. as someone who loves music i am more than happy to make this boy a frequent singer. this au is still baby#i can squeeze singer/musician danny in pr easily.#some favorite lines i saw while looking for symbolisms is that nightingales in roman culture were associated with venus and were also said#to provide comfort in the hours of darkness. eh eh? i saw a summary that in chinese folklore they were seen as symbols of hope#it didn't specify which dynasty but it did say it was a famous tale. cite also mentioned that in John Keats' “Ode to a Nightingale”#the bird’s enchanting song transports the poet to a world of transcendent beauty providing a temporary escape from the suffering and imperm#anyways looks like nightingales in gist symbolize comfort in dark times among other things#while robins in gist symbolize renewal. celebration of life. good luck. rebirth.#nightingale's color scheme in my mind is very much a dark purple-blue and black. maybe some gray too.#he'll probably try and ditch the black and white just out of paranoia. argh i need to come up with a suit design nooooo. superhero suit#design is my weakkkest design skill. have to balance between practical and a unique silhouette thats in line with their character.#esp since danny's not using his ghost half to be nightingale -- way too risky. also not using his powers/using them very little.#maybe i can work in an ocarina batman reference lmaoo. i can lean into comic/cartoon realism and have fun with that. as a treat

The night I flew home from my mother's wake there was a bright moon above the Sea. The evening of our first date on the promenade there was a bright moon above the Sea.
Both reflected on the water like something magic, freeing and ethereal.
Both came for a rebirth in me.

Good Friday and Easter: A Cycle of Death and Rebirth
In the heart of spring, Good Friday and Easter stand as a duo, unified by their contrasts. The silence and sorrow of Good Friday lead us to the joyous celebration of Easter Sunday, a time that celebrates life and hope. These holidays symbolically represent the eternal return, the renewal of life, and the triumph of light over darkness.
From Pagan Spring Rituals to the Christian Festival of Hope: Easter, the focal point of the church year, is closely tied to the resurrection of Christ. Yet, its roots reach deep into history, to times when spring was honored through pagan festivals that celebrated the cycle of death and rebirth in nature. This piece delves into the history and significance of Easter, highlighting how it has evolved over time.
Celebrating Spring Since the Dawn of Humanity: Since prehistoric times, people have marked the arrival of spring with festivities that reflected the cyclical nature of life and themes of death and rebirth. These early celebrations were brimming with vitality, signaling the end of winter and the reawakening of nature.
Transformation Through Christianity: Between Good Friday and Easter As Christianity spread, many of these pre-Christian customs were adapted. The focus shifted to the story of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, turning Good Friday and Easter into symbols of death and new life, two sides of the same coin, emphasizing the profound meaning of loss and rebirth.
The Deeper Symbolism: Good Friday, a day of pause and reflection, paves the way for Easter Sunday, a festival of joy and victory. These contrasts illustrate the eternal cycle of life: darkness gives way to light, sorrow to joy, and from death springs new life. These themes are found worldwide in various cultures and religions, reflecting the human longing for renewal and liberation.
The Relevance of Good Friday: In many Christian traditions, Good Friday is a deeply spiritual day, marked by prayer and contemplation. Despite its contrast to the festive Easter, it is an essential part of the Easter tradition, symbolizing the emotional and spiritual journey from darkness to light, from death to new life.
The Cosmic Connection: Interestingly, the period of Good Friday and Easter often coincides with the transition from the Pisces to Aries zodiac signs, forming an intriguing contrast: Pisces represent conclusion and letting go, Aries beginnings, energy, and determination. This astrological phase mirrors the themes of Easter, providing an additional layer of interpretation.

Final Fantasy VII community have you heard about
✨🌿Solarpunk🌱✨
Solarpunk is a lot like cyberpunk where you’re fighting companies and the unjust system that rules that are destroying the planet and the ability to hold live on it. And the goal is to find a balance to live together with technology and nature and become sustainable for the planet.
(Sounds kinda familiar huh? 👀)
Typically a lot of Solarpunk stories take place after the fight has been won and these systems are in place. Ultimately it’s kinda like a utopia but we all have to constantly work to make our lives and the places we live in a better place as utopias are actually well. Impossible.
But Final Fantasy VII? After the downfall of Shinra? Everyone working together to help heal the planet and work on energy sources that won’t drain the planet is just prime for Solarpunk.
This post is just a little introduction for Solarpunk because I’m sure not everyone want a full on essay on what Solarpunk is. But if this interests you, take a look at the Solarpunk tag and some Solarpunk books for inspiration 👀

"Rebirth" - INRI - TB never forget 2023
Igne Natura Renovatur Integra - in a different light….....
Although I already wrote about it bit, but I wanted to show an another interpretation of it. The way the Rosicrucians saw it. Igne natura renovatur integra vs. Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum
One stands for RCO the other for Vatican (AX) but both have the same acronyms. While the inscriptions of the crux of Jesus (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews) is clear (see P.S. below), the slogan of the Rosenkreuz Orden (through fire, nature is reborn whole) has different possibility of interpretation. As TB Wiki says, RCO wants to destroy the world in order to renew it (after).
But Rosicrucians meant it in a differently, viz "Regenerate matter through mind". So it was not about destruction but more about the might of the mind - with focus on the rebirth of the matter. The mind is the key for forming the matter in order to create something new. It means, the inner fire of the spirit should be free and undefiled, then is able to transform the outer shell: the being will be reborn in his pure original form, but on a higher level.
I see this in Trinity Blood as Cain tries all the time to renew his body, however his mind seems not strong and pure enough for it, since he had been go mad since he merged 100% with his nanomachines. In contrast to him, Abel manages to reborn completely, also on a higher level, because his mind is strong enough. (Ok, Lilith's nanomachines helped maybe a bit too… 😜)

P.S. The original INRI inscription "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" was meant as a kind of mockery for Jesus, since they wanted to represent him as someone who is trying to be a king, however it wasn't allowed for jews to call themself "king". Also they used this as a legal basis for his conviction.
PS.2: Sorry for being late for this year's tb never forget, but better later than never.

tagged by the beloveds @leviiackrman & @risingsh0t to make some of my ocs in these three picrews – thank you both so much, this was so fun and i live for symbolism and motifs! ♡
🐍 diana wesker (resident evil) / 🌻 mehlia tabris (dragon age) 🚁 dani haines (resident evil) / 🐺 ithrenil (the elder scrolls) 👑 reina (saints row) / 🪦 tereza ionescu (resident evil)
tagging: @aartyom @aceghosts @aelyosos @brujah @calenhads @cultistbase @denerims @druidgroves @faarkas @florbelles @girlbosselrond @indorilnerevarine @jendoe @leopardmuffinxo @lightwardens @liurnia @malefiicarum @morvaris @nadineross @nocticulas @nuclearstorms @phillipsgraves @shadowsofrose @solasan @swordcoasts @steelport@veisshaupt @voerman @wrymbloods & you! apologies for so many tags... as always, no pressure and let me know if you'd prefer to not be tagged in these things! ♡
#tag games.#oc: diana#oc: mehlia#oc: dani#oc: ithrenil#oc: reina#oc: tereza#essays in the tags time because diana's has a lot of symbolism so i'm so sorry!!! and i love that hers is the most simplistic looking too#so. diana. there's a lot to unpack here so strap in besties!!! i associate moon orchids with her and orchids in#general (as well as lilies) but first of all. moon being reflected in both moon orchids and pearls with her association with the goddess#diana (which was all on accident and i noticed all similar associations after the fact). it's ironic to me that both white orchids and#pearls symbolise peace and purity amongst other things... but when we're looking at all colours of orchids there's femininity/elegance/#pride/sexuality/virility/reverence/beauty/new beginning etc. and with pearls. so. her engagement ring was actually a pearl set between two#diamonds. and she's almost always wearing pearl studs. and if she's dressing up she'll wear necklaces or bracelets also. but pearls too#have a few things in common with orchids when it comes to symbolism but then on top of that there's wisdom/wealth/integrity/commitment etc.#omg i have a lot just for diana. okay. so behind the orchid. idk what plant is called but imagine green herb from lore okay? so healing and#life. then the charred branches. death and decay. tie that in with the snake and you have the associations with ouroboros and the concept#of life death and rebirth. and i have always associated her with spring and renewal after the deaths in winter. you understand. then the#snake and frog are also just because she's a herpetologist :] okay mehlia. i'm not going to go on massive essays here i swear but#sunflowers and association with the sun and joy and happiness and just someone who has a very bright and cheerful personality. bees because#her name means honey and also she has honey blonde hair as well. dani. like a blooming barrel cactus because she's from arizona OR a#parodia cause her boyf carlos is from sa (possibly colombia or brazil. we don't know and those are the two i'm torn with). then was cheeky#and decided red herb like diana has the green herb. then ofc her motifs of butterflies and birds as well as clouds all because flying and#her being a pilot. but butterflies being symbols of transformation and hope as well as life and renewal. and with birds i mean in general#there's freedom but i think more of lovebirds and hummingbirds mainly. lovebirds obvious but hummingbirds being messengers of hope and#bringing healing and luck to people while also being associated with joy/endurance/restoration and a reminder to enjoy life :]#ithrenil and the moon. i've talked about this all a lot but they are a werewolf so just. you know all the symbolism with the moon and how#that correlates with werewolves and cycles!! okay reina. roses because her daughter's name is rosa and they are special to her. then halo#and angel wings because the saint of all saints. i just had to. tereza the yellow flowers are what donna used to cause people to have#hallucinations and the flies are ofc because she's around the daughters a lot in the castle. hitting limit so i have to be succinct here :(
