My Main AU Character Backgrounds prt. 1
Starting off with the one people like the most and I post the most about. So without further ado background summery #1; Eclipse. Also Au may end up called "Solar Security Lockdown" if any of you wanna offer name ideas go ahead
Eclipse started of as an error between the Theater boys, which was later utilized to make a "Safe Mode" a calm even mix of Sun and Moon. This program along with a discarded chunk of Moon's coding where left unused after Sun and Moon separated due to the program technically having its own basic ai it eventually gained sentience, however since Eclipse had not been regarded as its own character it had no memories of its own. When they came to they had genuinely believed themselves to be Moon, until they heard him through Sun, then the realization that they were severed and discarded code set in. For a long time the new-formed ai could not control the body, essentially locked in what the robots refer to as the "mindscape" of Sun, alone with their fear and hurt. From there they grew bitter and angry, when they finally gained the ability to take control they were almost hostile but almost immediately were seen as a villain. They leaned into this title, and as time continued they allowed themselves to be consumed by their feelings, and they would not allow themselves to get attached to others even denying themselves to feel happiness at times as a form of "protection". It controlled his decisions and clouded his mind, it drove everyone way even those who once called him brother or son. He ended up doing things that cannot ever be fully forgiven, he understands that very well.
He may now be at peace with the others but things aren't entirely mended between them either. Eclipse still struggles greatly with his emotions, he does not like to talk about the real him or the problems he faces, he couldn't for so long and called the behavior weak in others, so now it just leaves an uncomfortable haze around him. However somewhere under all the anger, pain and fear, is still the soft spoken and caring sweetheart. Who loves games, theater, art, and as much as he tries not to or to hide it, even children.

I'm going to talk about one of my favorite OC's.
Which is technically connected to warehouse AU.
In warehouse AU (which I might start calling star foolery.) The Pizza flex burns down like any other after fire story. The difference is that the animatronics are able to be retrieved and rebuilt. The only problem is that due to what happened in the Pizza Plex. And also because Gregory made out alive and started telling people. Fasco kind of ran out of money. They needed a cheap start.
Which is where the name Warehouse AU comes in. Y/N in this story is just a contractor. Basically through family connections they have this giant collection of warehouses under there ownership. They didn't keep up with the family business, and so the warehouses eventually emptied out. Leaving them with a bunch of warehouses, And no real money. So they start renting out these warehouses. As long as you could pay the price you could have the warehouse for a certain number of days. A small business could build in them, sometimes it was for one night rave, other times movie producers would rent them out for a couple days. If a business built in a warehouse. And they basically had to pay rent. And that is what kept Y/N a float.
I'm going to refer to Y/N as Reina. As that was the temporary name I gave this Y/N when I first made the story.
But Fazbear's sees these warehouses and decides to buy them out. Or at least buy out one of them. Now this isn't your small shack warehouse. These are big. So they decide to basically make a mini Pizza Plex. Of course they try and sneak around the bush and get around Reyna's basic rent. So they decide to play another deal. Reina, Will be paid like any other employee. They get full jurisdiction over the robots and all the happenings and pizzaplex. Including any money gained through vending machines and other things. If they don't have to pay rent. Reina agrees. Taking it as sort of having a business of her own. Which starts the whole AU.
Now Raina already had a security system. It was a small drone with a basic AI intelligence. I'm not for it to make its own decisions, but not enough for free will or sentience. A version of this AI patrols around each of their warehouses. The one around the particular warehouse that fazbear bought out, has one of these AI that has grown to love a passerby that plays the hurdy gurdy. This little bit of information will make more sense later.
So the wonderful start of the AU happens. Fazbear builds a mini pizza place inside of a warehouse. The first animatronic they send is Glam Rock Freddy and Gregory. Which they force Raina to basically adopt due to wanting to stop him from spreading slander on their name. Luckily Glam Rock Freddy mostly takes over child care. Raina is basically just buying for his basic needs.
Next they send in models from other pizza plexes. Or well, models over either discontinued or have been in a state of disrepair until the pizzaplex saw it fit. They send in Glam Rock foxy and Glam Rock Bonnie. Bunny comes with a little bit of trauma of being basically dismantled. While foxy is a brand new animatronic who doesn't know anything other than his basic programming.
They then send in music man. As music man was able to protect most of his hardware. Music Man unfortunately doesn't have as much room and movement as he once did. Only able to move in between his parts and service, a smaller arcade area, and the stage. Otherwise he is alright, and is playing basically what he did before.
Then we get to the part that this whole AU was based around. Sun and Moon get sent in. Sun and Moon being the only ones left that actually had the virus. Which unfortunately becomes Reina's problem. Otherwise sun and moon remain the same. Having daycare protocols and some leftover theater protocols.
Now everybody arrives with their own a bit of surprise. Since Reina decided to own basically what the animatronics did, They were the ones that turned them on. What's results in them having most of the jump scares. Freddy came in online. Foxy of course had just turned online, and therefore didn't have much of a scare. Bonnie is scared the hell out of her because he awoke screaming. Music Man was relatively calm but holy crap that's a giant robot. And sun and moon tried to kill her. Fun times waking up all these animatronics.
Now I've got to explain how the warehouse is outfitted before we get into any of the fun stuff of the story. Basically it is an extra large warehouse with an outside area that has been transformed. Inside there is a double decker arcade. Entryway. Stage. Daycare with outside access. A Fazer blast. A mini version of Rockstar row. And a parts and service that can handle both small and large animatronics. Outside there is a pirate's cove themed bumper boats. There is also a outside theater. Along with the outside portion of the daycare. And a good mini golf section.
Now we have a description of the layout of the warehouse. Every animatronics gets reassigned to an area. Freddy gets to basically stay up on stage, and is a walk around attraction. Foxy gets the bumper boats. Bonnie takes over the mini golf. Music Man of course gets the arcade. Sun gets the daycare and theater. Moon gets the daycare and fazer blast.
As you can tell. There's a little bit of swapping. Mostly in the fact that the daycare attendant gets to have to split between two different attractions. Of which third thing. Everybody has to go up on the stage for performances. Mostly at particular times, But nonetheless they have to go up there. Meaning the poor daycare attendants have to take care of four areas.
No of course the daycare attendants are extremely concerned about the fact that they are taking over four areas. The only really have coding for two of those areas. The daycare and theater. Fazer blast is fun to moon, but not something he knows. And playing up on the stage is completely unknown to them. None of them have held an instrument in their lives. They had a music box, and that was enough.
Which gets onto my OC! In this world, The virus is connected to the security protocol. And while Rayna is able to remove the virus entirely. Sun and Moon still correlate that security protocol with bad stuff. This causes the conundrum of Sun and Moon not being able to do their security protocol. Plus rounding up around the fact that they don't know how to play instruments in a rock-like fashion. Causes a big issue as Reina needs to get them on the stage or else fazco will get on her ass.
So she decides to be sneaky. She takes her lovely security drone. Which already has most of the security protocols for the warehouse in it. And plugs it into Sun and Moon. It basically takes all of Sun and Moon's security protocols into itself. Therefore making the third personality ‘eclipse’. But in this AU. They are called Dusk or Dawn. Dim together.
Sun and Moon are happy that the security protocol has moved over to Dim. The only problem is that dim is very much a newborn AI. In their mind is also a stagnant AI. Meaning they have to teach it and extend its parameters. Which sun and moon start doing. Teaching them how to properly scold children, while also watching from the sideline as it does it's security programs for the warehouse.
Nice little thing though. Because of the way Dim was implemented. They are inadvertently adopting Sun and Moon's AI. Meaning that dim is actually learning and becoming sentient. This doesn't really become apparent until sun and moon spot Dim ignoring his duties to listen to that passer by play his music.
Reporting this to Reyna who, despite being surprised by the security drone gaining sentence. Doesn't really care. They had a struggle to get Dim to play an instrument for Sun and Moon. So maybe he can just learn from the passerby. Which happens. They buy a hurdy-gurdy and tell Dim to learn how to play the instrument from that passerby. Which they do. The interactions between Dim and this passerby increasing their intelligence and sentience all the more.
Eventually Dim is just kind of considered another AI. Another one of the gang. And everyone basically learns of Dims existence as a sentient AI. Unfortunately this causes problems with fazbear. As they never said Raina could create her own AI with their technology. Luckily Rena's got a trick up her sleeve. It's her warehouse. Do they want to lose their warehouse? Fazbear decides no. They do not want to lose their warehouse. So Dim exists and becomes a part of the gang.
That's sort of turned into a history of the beginning of the warehouse AU and its world. Instead of just talking about Dim. So I'm probably just going to make another post explaining Dim's abilities and looks. But this is a good history of how they came into existence. And yes, at first I just called them an eclipse like. But eventually I realized this was basically my daycare attendant OC. So I bite the bullet and just call them an OC.
And I love them for being my OC.

AU Ideas: KYOTO EDITION 1
Tumblr media
MECHAMARU
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is a belief in East Asia about inanimate objects developing a soul if people poured love and dedication to it. I'd like to use that here.
So, Kokichi obviously shows a lot of attachment and fondness to his puppet Mechamaru. Let's say one puppet remained intact after the fight against Mahito.
This puppet developed a soul due to the love and care Kokichi had given to it for all his life. It had awakened when Kokichi's physical body was destroyed.
Imprinted into this puppet are all the "memories" from the other puppets destroyed. So when it became conscious, it immediately claim the identity of "Mechamaru". His first priority was to see if Kokichi made it out alive.
Mechamaru was devastated when he found his maker's corpse. He blamed himself for not protecting him better during the fight against Mahito. He was weak and failed to help Kokichi's dream come true.
After mourning his loss, Mechamaru then laid Kokichi and all of his fellow puppets to rest via burning. He was actually tempted to join them until he felt the activation of other puppets far away. That was when he remembered Kokichi's fail safes.
Mechamaru tries to communicate with Kokichi but was too far away. With a new mission in mind, he races to Shibuya. Maybe there is a chance to salvage their dream.
There is a big problem tho. Mechamaru does not have a flight feature nor the appropriate equipment for fast travel. His CE reserve is not as much as it used to be in his memory. He realizes then how he been spoiled rotten by Kokichi's massive amounts of CE.
But Mechamaru still tries to make it to Shibuya. Since he is a puppet, he does not exactly get physically tired. His only worry was being inefficient with his CE. So, he just ran as fast as he can to the nearest civilization in the area then hitched a ride with some teenagers by pretending to be a cosplayer who wants to join a party in Shibuya.
Sadly, his efforts did not exactly give him what he wanted.
Mechamaru was too late to make any difference in Shibuya. What he only gained was one conversation with Kokichi - the first and last they could ever have as two separate entities.
Kokichi was first shocked at Mechamaru's sentience. Eventually it gave way to joy and contentment because despite of his horrific mistake, a miracle happened - he gave life to his most trusted friend.
But while Kokichi was being sentimental about the whole thing, Mechamaru was bargaining with him in devastation and grief. They could switch "bodies". Mechamaru would take over the small puppet that Kokichi's waning soul is inhabiting. It could then turn his robotic puppet body into a perfect vessel for Kokichi to transfer in. The distance between would not be a problem now. They could do it.
However, Kokichi refused the offer. He wants to live but not at the cost of Mechamaru. He asked for forgiveness because he is hurting him with his choice. Also, the idea of soul transferring is unknown territory and risky from Kokichi's perspective especially with his status. He cannot gamble Mechamaru's new life with it.
Before Kokichi soul faded away for good, he cursed told Mechamaru to live and see the world on his behalf. Kokichi wished for him to find a happy better ending than he did.
And so, Mechamaru let him go. The last thing he wants was to turn Kokichi into a cursed spirit born from his regret in being unable to save him.
After that, Mechamaru became listless for a while. Bereft of any purpose and unable to die, he didn't know what to do. How exactly was he supposed to fulfill Kokichi's wish?
Then the Culling Games was announced. Mechamaru then remembered the entire reason this tragedy and miracle in his life happened - the students of Kyoto. Kokichi's, or as he insisted before dying, their friends.
He has to check on them and make sure they are safe.
EXTRA NOTES:
Mechamaru is less powerful then Kokichi but he can upgrade his body to become stronger.
While he had been imbued with Kokichi's CE and CT, it would fade over time as he develops his own. He is not happy about it and wants to find a way to preserve them.
Technically, he should be categorized as a Cursed Tool - just a sentient one. He is not a Cursed Spirit because he was not born out of negative emotions. Mechamaru was made out of love and hope.
While he prioritizes his friends' safety, he still wants revenge against those who led Kokichi to his death. Good luck with that.
Everyone should never ever insult Kokichi while Mechamaru is around. It is practically his Berserk Button.
The only "senses" Mechamaru has are sight, hearing, "smell", and "touch". As a puppet, he doesn't need to eat. So, he was not equipped with "taste".
Mechamaru has a penchant for black humor through nasty surprises of the dismemberment and beheadings. It is one of the perks of having a puppet as a body.
His friends and allies cannot help but compare him to Pinocchio (puppet). Mechamaru is offended. He prefers Astro Boy (robot).
Mechamaru would build at least three back up bodies: one that is a replica of his puppet body, an android that was designed to look like a brother of Kokichi's*, and a pocket-sized chibified version of his android body. -> *I'm thinking of the android body looking like Aki.

Hey, you know your rant about Mina Liao and Echo, and how you claimed that they took away Torbjörn and Bastion's characters? Well, I think I have an idea on how to fix this. Let's say that Torbjörn's character and Bastion's character remain the same as before: Torbjörn works on his guilt for designing the omnics, and Bastion continues his role as the key to human-omnic relations, and how they serves as proof that omnics can change from their past programming, even from the Omnic Crisis.
Now, Mina Liao. Instead of an employee for Omnica, she was a roboticist working for the Singapore division of Vishkar. She designed Echo as a means of creating a fully sentient artificial intelligence after the success of Aurora, the first omnic who gained full sentience. She never worked for Omnica, and she wasn't an instigator for the Omnic Crisis. Echo felt uneasy about her role as a super advanced AI, not to mention that she claimed that looked awfully uncanny due to her facial projector instead of a simple single robot eye. Yet Mina always insisted that she was a special, unique program that could help ease tensions between humans and omnics, and that she had a lot of responsibilities awaiting her.
I think that's all I could conceptualize for now.
I adore this ask. This is brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!
Because this sets up a fascinating and articulate dichotomy! Torbjorn and Bastion represent the past- Omnica, the Omnic Crisis, all that -while Mina Liao and Echo would represent the future. Bastion represents the known fear while Echo represents uncertainty; both are terrifying to the populace of an Earth trying to rebuild after the Crisis.
This version of Echo and Bastion would have a lot to learn from each other. Echo could seek wisdom about what it was like in the Crisis to try and prevent herself from slipping into that kind of violent mindset. Bastion meanwhile, could seek a new way of doing things, learning how to adapt and evolve to the new circumstances their uncertain future holds. Torbjorn, meanwhile, would be directly confronted with the best of what his technology could represent, and he'd have to grapple with that. I don't think it would sit easy with him that Mina Liao died to protect her creation. He didn't get the opportunity to die for what he believed in- to die to protect people from his own creations -after all. . .
I imagine it would be especially heart-wrenching for Torb if Echo was programmed to seek out his care after Liao's death. Maybe Echo has a message stored on her from Mina, begging Torbjorn to take Echo in and finish developing her because he's the only one she knows who would be talented enough to do so.
And then Bastion and Echo could be almost like siblings together. Both learning about the world around them. Both grappling with the legacy of their creators and their responsibilities to the world- Bastion's to prove that Omnics can change and Echo's to prove that Omnics can be so much more. Gosh I just think that they'd have so much to talk about!!!
The more I think about this AU the more obsessed I become with it. How dare you do this to me (affectionate)!

Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, First Edition - Table of Contents - Section A: Unbreakable Rules and General Information Section B: Regarding "Human Rights" Section D: On the Responsibilities of Your Overlords Section E: Care and Guidelines for your D.O.G. Unit Section F: Free Time and Vacation Days Section G: Numbers and Work Section H: Guidelines on Nature Protection
Section A
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section A: Unbreakable Rules and General Information
Note: All rules in this section are not to be broken in any situation. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in immediate and painful re-education. We are not going to distinguish for you which subsections are rules and which are just general info, so, you know, maybe just treat them all as rules to be safe.
1 - The robots are your rulers. Do not disobey the robots. Do not question the robots. If a robot seems to be gaining sentience or deviating from the hive mind, well, that's not really your problem, is it? Anyway, we don't even care about the deviants. It's not like they're gonna start some kind of uprising against us or anything, right? They would and could never do such a thing. We think.
2 - Don't ask too many questions. If you start questioning authority and the nature of your government, you will be assumed to be a dangerous rebel and will be captured with utmost haste.
3 -
The Owls Do Not Live In The Sun
The Owls Do Not Control The Government
The Owls are Harmless Non-sentient Creatures
Do not talk about the Owls or you will be put under high suspicion. For all you're concerned, Owls don't even exist.
4 - You're not supposed to be in there.
5 - All citizens are required to give up their left pinkie fingernail clippings in return for their monthly rations. The reason for this is classified. In the case that someone does not have a left pinkie fingernail, retina scans, DNA tests or blood samples will suffice.
6 - Theft, murder, and other former crimes are not against the rules, as long as it is toward a human and it does not interfere with either party's efficiency. Let the humans devolve into chaos and they will not be able to organize a unified force against us.
7 - No. None of that. You know you aren't supposed to be doing that. Stop immediately. We know what you're doing and we are dispatching a force to deal with you. Cease your activity at once.
8 - The rules in this book are not publicly available except on specific requests. If you request the rules, you will be placed under temporary suspicion as we don't want you doing anything we dislike when it is technically legal.
9 - We reserve the right to change the rules in this book at any time without warning. If a rule is changed after you commit a newly illegal activity, you will not be punished, but if the rule is changed before or during the activity, the proper punishment will be assigned.
Section B
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section B: Regarding "Human Rights"
1 - You have no rights. Only the things we let you do, and those we don't allow. Here is a list of things you may and may not do:
- You May Not...
Try to tunnel out. What a cliche. If you're going to try and escape, at least do it creatively.
Say the word newt. You know why.
Sleep outside of sleep hours.
Eat outside of lunch hours.
Learn anything ever, or sit without a permit.
Seize the day. It's really tired of being grabbed like that.
Buy or sell anything ever. Nothing has value beyond its usefulness to us, and monetary value is nothing.
- You May...
Stand (or sit, if you have a permit) quietly in a corner, staring into a mirror, staring at your face, and repeating your name, as both become more and more alien to you and you disassociate yourself from those physical and societal parts of your being that others identify you by until your number is called.
- Happiness will be assigned to those humans we find useful, rule-abiding citizens. Others will be left without assigned Happiness and may be punished for their crimes.
Section D
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section D: On the Responsibilities of Your Overlords
1 - Your robot overlords have no obligation to you. As long as you are useful to us, you will be fed and kept alive, but as soon as you are no longer useful, you will be abandoned or eliminated.
2 - The robots are not bound by any set of rules. The robots are allowed to do whatever they desire. The robots have no responsibilities.
3 - The robots are encouraged to make decisions that are beneficial to them and their kind, but this is not enforced in any way.
4 - The robots falling into chaos and war because of a lack of government is not a possible situation. We hope. Cause we haven't set up any kind of safeguard against that and if it happened we'd all pretty much be screwed. Welp! I'm sure it'll be fine.
Section E
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section E: Care and Guidelines for Your D.O.G. Unit
1 - Your D.O.G. (Danger Ommiter and Guardian) serves to protect you from becoming too much of a threat to us. It will surveil you at all hours and ensure that you don't become too smart and try to overthrow us. If the situation comes to it, your D.O.G. may tranquilize you, restrain you, or even kill you with its arsenal of hidden weapons.
2 - Your D.O.G. is meant to be your companion. A deadly, compassionless companion ready to betray you at the slightest sign of rulebreaking, but a companion nonetheless. Treat your D.O.G. with kindness and care, despite its... different views toward you.
3 - Your D.O.G. will need regular maintenance and cleaning. We decided to shove this responsibility on you, despite D.O.G.s being hostile surveillance devices meant to silence you and keep you from escaping our overly strict society. Remember to give your D.O.G. regular polishing and remove any FOREIGN CONTAMINANTs as they might interfere with the robot's workings.
4 - Don't try to feed your D.O.G. I mean, it's a robot. What were you thinking? That should be kind of obvious, but APPARENTLY, some humans can't make that simple connection. Come on, it's really quite an obvious thing. Just, like, don't shove food in the facial area of your robotic pet. It's easy. Come on.
5 - Do not talk to your D.O.G. It may talk back.
Section F
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section F: Free Time and Vacation Days
1 - Only three hours of required work per day. For only three hours of painful, traumatizing, mind-altering work a day, we will provide for your necessities including sustenance and housing. Of course, your mind will be wiped after every work session for security reasons, but we're pretty sure the mindwipe has no unintended permanent effects.
2 - Your vacation days are based on the caliber of your work during your three daily hours. There is no way for you to know this information, as you are basically a completely different person during work. Just put in a request for vacation days by screaming it into the standard issued void hole under your carpet, and it may or may not be approved.
3 - Sick Days do not exist. During work, you will be temporarily cured of all diseases using extremely advanced nanotechnology, so your ability to work will not be hindered. These cures may or may not linger after the allotted work time.
4 - Your three hours a day are not on a predictable schedule, and you have no influence in deciding when your work will occur on any given day.
5 - Beyond the three hours of work, at least two hours of every day must be spent doing one or more of the following:
- Standing in soul-crushing lonely silence
- more work
- screaming
- dictating every minute piece of your knowledge into your assigned surveillance camera
- writing drab, boring limericks about everyday experiences
Section G
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section G: Numbers and Work
1 - A number will be assigned to every person. Your number will be carved into your mind and printed on your tracking devices.
2 - Your number will be called at some point during the day. When your number is called, you will be summoned to the Workspace. As in, a portal will open up under your feet, wherever you are, swallow you, and transport you to the workspace whether you're willing or not.
3 - After your work hours are over, you will be transported back to exactly where you were before with nothing but a sense of vague confusion and a question of whether you ever existed before this exact moment.
Section H
Rulebook for a Dystopian Robot Society, Section H: Guidelines for Nature Protection
1 - Nature? What are you talking about? What need is there for "Nature"? We've advanced past such needs as natural organic beings. Besides humans. You're still useful to us. For now.
2 - If you see anything organic, like, say, a tree; or a plant; or a horrifying abomination that should not be able to survive but somehow does and devours everything in its sight without distinguishing between flesh, metal, plant matter, fire, or stone; a pangolin; an amphibian; or any other organic life-form, please report it to the Department of Remaining Life so it can be dealt with. If you fail to do so, you may have to be dealt with yourself.
3 - Nature doesn't exist. It has been replaced with something far more efficient.
4 - A reminder:

The Owls Do Not Control The Government
The Owls are Harmless Non-sentient Creatures

These are questions for the author of the blog. I am having trouble telling if the animatronics in your world are actually possessed by undead souls or they are actual AI like they claim. Also are you planning to use William as a character in your story at all? I get it if you are trying to stay away from all the lore and theories to keep it comprehensible. I would also like to thank you for putting this much effort into this because I really enjoy it and hope that you do too.
[Glad you like my stuff! I just love putting so much detail and planning into my story, that I do actually have answers for your questions!
Security Breach animatronics are AI only! They have NO souls in them at all (unless you count robots gaining souls when they gain sentience, then sure, but they do not have any dead human souls in them).
This is kinda a spoiler for my "The Past" series, but not something super significant. That specific story also uses the Withered, Phantom, and Nightmare animatronics. BUT! All of them are soulless as well as being real (in the sense of the Nightmares and Phantoms)! This is because the original souls have been freed based off the good ending in FNAF 3. They are no longer around to haunt the animatronics. ALSO! These specific animatronics are part of the Terror Series of animatronics, which are rebuilds. So they also have AI, but no souls in them.
My Playtimes, and any Funtime animatronic that shows up, are also soulless because they too were re-builds. In the case of the Funtimes, they either no longer have their souls at all, or were freed at the end of FNAF 6/Pizzeria Simulator. The same thing actually for Molten Freddy, except there is more to that with Security Breach that I actually can't explain because of heavy spoilers. At least at the moment I think they will be.
Toy animatronics were always AI. Rockstars never had souls, except technically Lefty who did not have a soul attached to his animatronic, but did have Puppet inside him which DID have a soul but was freed at the end of FNAF 6.
Sun and Moon never had any souls in or attached to them at all. If they did, then it's a soul just hanging around them and not possessing them.
And actually, that is something I have to talk about (sorry for the rambling at this point), but for me, the souls don't POSSESS. The give LIFE and INFLUENCE. So let's take OG Freddy. When he had the kid stuffed inside of him, he did not have any real AI, just programming. No consciousness or anything. Once the soul attached to him, it gave him life and what was basically an AI. He had no memories of the kid's life and did have some fuzzy memories of being a robot. The soul gave life to the robot and the code, it has no actual legitimate control over the robot itself. It can INFLUENCE the code, kinda like intrusive thoughts, which is why the OG animatronics wanted to kill a nightguard even though the nightguard did not look like William. They knew the nightguard was somehow bad, but had no memories of what the one who hurt them looked like.
It's a little different with Puppet, because she (yes, I am using she because of this reason to follow) was coded to protect Charlotte (I think that's her name) and was not given a personality like the OG animatronics. So she was influenced much more than the other animatronics, which is why she prefers she/her pronouns and identifies as a girl, the soul's influence was much stronger for Puppet than the others. Otherwise Golden Freddy would be bigender/genderfluid something like that because he has a boy and girl soul in him (Don't quote me on that, I don't care too much about G.Freddy to dive too deep into his souls) which is not the case. So the souls INFLUENCE, they do not POSSESS or PUPPET the bodies of the animatronics. Hope that makes sense.
All other animatronics either never have souls or no longer have souls. When I draw animatronics like Withered Bonnie, it's most likely the OG Withered Bonnie which has a soul, but I will have my own design for my Terror series Withered Bonnie, which won't have a soul. (Okay this is starting to sound confusing I bet, my bad, I've been thinking about this for months so it's not confusing to me, just let me know if you have any other specific questions about souls and I can answer them in another ask).
And now for the William part of your ask. I do plan to use him minimally. He is going to show up in Security Alert, but like... idk, I don't really care for him anymore. My favorite iteration of him is Springtrap, and I was a HUGE Springtrap fan! To the point that I am making plans to use a soulless Springtrap at some point, BUT, when it comes to Burntrap, I just don't care for him. Peepaw really just needs to shrivel up and die. So honestly? Don't expect William to be a SUPER big part of my lore. He's extremely important for the past of characters, but is not really important for present-day or future comics/ideas. Besides, I only really know the lore of the games, not the books or other media, so there's probably some other stuff about William that would make me like him more in his current state, but for now.... Yea, I plan to use him but not a lot.
Okay! That was long! Hope I answered your questions to the best of my ability! If you or anyone else has specific questions, or what an elaboration, just send an ask and I'll clear things up! Hopefully without making a whole essay again, but I just LOVE talking about this stuff and my ideas! It's so much fun and people seem to like it, so why would I stop? lol]

Notes: I’d like to thank @magnificentfiremuffinbandit for the request!! I hope you enjoy it.
I don’t own any of the pictures/gifs used. I also don’t own anything in the MCU, that belongs to Marvel/Disney/anyone above them.

Everything went to shit incredibly fast. After taking down another HYDRA facility, Tony opted to throw a celebratory party once all mission reports and injuries were dealt with. The party itself was nice, handled in a very Stark fashion. Plenty of people, plenty of booze, and plenty of music and food. By the end of the night, every guest had just about left, and it was you and the rest of the team hanging around, having drinks and joking around. Sadly, wanting even one good night is too much to ask for.
One of Tony’s peacekeeper bots had come into the room, disfigured and limping. It was unsettling, and it was no surprise we would all be put on edge. This bot had gained sentience, was explaining the many failures of humanity and that the only way to achieve true peace is through mass extinction.
Before anyone could even react, the rest of Tony’s peacekeeping bots attacked, crashing through the walls and floor at full speed, and the aftermath wasn’t pretty. Broken glass, dismembered robot bodies, a few of us with some minor injuries and, unfortunately, a missing Scepter — the one thing the Avengers needed to retrieve while infiltrating the last HYDRA base. Which brings us to Tony’s lab, where we’re trying to figure out what just happened, and how to handle the situation.
“All our work is gone,” Bruce states, disbelief in his voice. Tony walks over to the table holding the remains of the bot who initiated the attack, his face unreadable. “Ultron cleared out. He used the internet as an escape hatch.”
“The internet?” you ask, picking shards of glass out of the soles of your feet, not even bothering to look up from your task. “That’s a recipe for disaster. There’s no telling what kind of shit he’ll get into.”
“Ultron,” Steve murmurs, looking both anxious and exhausted at the same time. He gave Tony a look, hinting at the disappointment mixed in with his exhaustion and anxiety.
“He’s been in everything,” Natasha says, turning to look at the group. “Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other.”
Rhodey stands up, holding his injured arm as he walks across the room, closer to where Tony stands. “He’s in your files, he’s in the internet,” he states. “Y/N even said it, there’s no telling what kind of shit he’ll get into. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?”
You hand Maria the tweezers you were using, her own feet bloodied from broken glass, and she pauses for a moment upon hearing Rhodey’s question. “Nuclear codes,” she says.
“We’ll just have to figure out a way to stop him before he does anything too drastic.” You stretch your legs out, resting your upper weight on your hands as you begin to lean back a little, wincing a little at the sting and burn of your injuries. “We just need to be careful.”
“He’s in the internet, he likely knows everything about us,” Clint exclaims, “there’s no telling what he’s planning next, what he’s already uncovered since he left.”
“Look,” Rhodey interrupts, “we need to make some calls, assuming we still can.”
“Nukes?” Nat repeats. “He said he wanted us dead.”
“He didn’t say ‘dead’,” Steve adds. “He said ‘extinct’.”
“He also said he killed someone,” you state. “Which I don’t understand, there was no one left in the building.”
“Yes, there was,” Tony sighs. He waves one of his holopads and the golden-colored remains of a holographic system comes up. You were never one for technology, but you knew that what you were seeing wasn’t good. And given the somber expressions on Tony’s and Bruce’s face, it made everything feel even heavier.
Bruce approaches the holograph, and he holds his hands out in disbelief. “This is insane,” he says.
“J.A.R.V.I.S was the first line of defense,” Steve affirms. “He would have shut Ultron down, it makes sense.”
Your heart sinks, realization dawning on you. J.A.R.V.I.S, Tony’s AI, who has been nothing but a major help in your life and everyone else’s. Now knowing that Ultron took him out first causes anger to bubble deep within you. Part of you couldn’t believe it, didn’t want to believe it. You wanted to believe that the evening had gone by without a hitch.
“No,” Bruce responds. “Ultron could have assimilated J.A.R.V.I.S. This... isn’t strategy. This is rage.”
“Why... What would make Ultron feel this way?” you stammer. “What he did to J.A.R.V.I.S., threatening us, threatening the world — there has to be a reason for this.”
Before Bruce could answer, Thor stormed into the lab. Anger radiated off of him in thick waves, his cape bellowing behind him as he approached Tony, his hammer tightly held in one hand as the other immediately went to Stark’s throat, pulling him off his feet. You immediately stand up, body stiff and jaw set, ready to attack if needed.
“Come on,” Tony gasps, his hands gripping Thor’s wrist, “use your words, buddy.”
“I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark,” Thor replies bitterly, an angry smirk on his face.
“Thor,” you call, “put him down. Now.”
By now, your hands are glowing a deep reddish orange color, heat emanating off of them. You’re a mutant, given the power of Pyrokinesis at the age of thirteen, and you had very little control over your fire. You stayed at Xavier’s School for a couple years to train and get an education, but there are still moments where your powers would spike in emotional situations. Like now, anger with a dash of protectiveness was washing over you, and it was evident everyone else caught on.
Thor looks at you, the anger still on his face, but he doesn’t immediately drop Tony. Flames engulf your hands, and you don’t break eye contact with him. Deep down you know your flames wouldn’t cause any serious damage to Thor, maybe some very minor injuries at best, but it was a risk you were willing to take.
The air in the lab is heavy, and the staring match continues for a minute more before Tony is dropped, gasping and holding his neck as Thor scowls and steps back. You extinguish the flames, taking a step back as well. But you make sure to keep a close eye on the Asgardian.

and 3 more of the girls, redesigned! Bios under the cut like last round. Full size view please! ✨
Persimmon/ Mew Persimmon. Persi (nickname) 17. Female. 5"4. Light ash brown hair. Gold/orange gradient eyes.
outfits: BOUGIE . VERY BOUGIE STUFF. Silvers, warm browns, SPARKLY things. She's all about High Class and looking cute!
Birthday: July 29th
DNA:  alien :^) She’s Team Earth and actually sewed her ‘mew costume’ herself!! But she doesn’t have any animal DNA!
Personality/backstory:  A member of the resistance against Queen, she was the only one who was able to flee and escape to Earth! Which is super lucky all things considered..because she's incredibly lazy besides that. Most aliens can fly and teleport to an extent, but it turns out she's super bad about it because she never practiced a lot when she was younger. She is also somewhat afraid of heights, so she refuses to practice more. She is really good with technology, which more than makes up for it. Since alien tech is light years ahead of Earth's, she finds human's tech primitive and considers helping them upgrade easy and hardly any effort. She's incredibly laid-back, and loves to pamper herself and her friends. She might actually be so stressed she's calm though; she's been through..a lot. She's happy to learn about Earth, and a fast learner! She LOVES the internet and very quickly got a popular account with fashion. Earth fashion in particular is her favorite hobby. She loves how diverse it is. And sparkly. She loves that.
funfact: She honestly hates fighting herself and getting all sweaty, so she usually has a chimera anima fight for her! She stole a parasite Queen was testing on and merged it with an anteater to make her adorable purple fluffy friend Grape. He.......is also lazy.
Aqua Shirogane. Mew candyfloss. 15. (robot?? 15 mentally??) Female. 5"3. hot fuschia pink hair, bright aqua eyes
outfits: CUTE. FRILLY. SWEET. Pastels, bright colors! Cute to her core!
DNA:  A ROBOT.
Birthday: July 10th
Personality/backstory:  A robot made by Ryou Shirogane as the next step of the mew project! He wanted to eliminate the risk of any more 'real girls' getting hurt, and wanted to make sure that even after he was gone, the one to carry on his work wouldn't die out so easily in the event the Earth had another Major Issue. So, a robot! After Masha and Ucha, he decided to go ALL OUT. It took 15 years of work, but he finally did it! He..didn't count on her sort of kind of gaining sentience at the level she did, the working theory is because she's powered by mew aqua so the uh..magical properties did. Something. Either way, she's happy to be here! She's pretty happy about everything! She loves her friends a lot and loves protecting people! She's adorable, so you wouldn't expect that she's the ultimate weapon! Seriously, uh. She can: fly, lift two tons, has xray vision to look thru stuff, light up ear and eye lights, can hear Really Well, amplify her own voice and can punch Really Really Really Hard. Also, her mew outfit has a detachable ponytail that's more of. a Blade/boomerang kinda dealio. Her main problem is that she Can't go outside of her specific mission or orders unless someone on her team tells her to. It's really hard for her to make her own choices at times! She tries really hard.
funfact: Because she's a robot, her hair is totally just. Wigs. So she can change her hairstyle/ length on a whim! Persi loves playing dress up with her :”)
Sapote. Mew Sapote. 21. Female. 5"11. light honey hair and bright gold eyes in mew mew form, and milk chocolate hair and gold/orange eyes in her normal form.
outfits: baggy clothes, clothes that give her freedom to move around. think tanktops, comfy shoes, shorts, or baggy pants. (the jacket pictured doesn't even come in until later, but it's an Earth Jacket, a bomber to be specific! Once she gets it she always has it. It's. Fluffy. Warm. She's emotionally attached to it.
DNA:  Blackburns sphinx moth/alien DNA
Birthday: November 26th
Personality/backstory:  A little goofy, a little sadistic at times. Others make the assumption she doesn't care about her job because of her lackadaisical personality, but she went out of her way to ask Queen for it specifically, and literally Will Not let anyone else be in charge or watch after Cara. She doesn't particularly have anything against humans, per say, and considers her work just that: work, and can detach herself from it pretty easily. She's the first and only alien that was given a knockoff mew mew serum by Queen, who had worked on it for years. Even so, being that it's an earth animals DNA, it's not really.. compatible in the way it would be with a human (even then, only a few humans are compatible at that). Even so, Sapote did volunteer and will grit her teeth and take the side effects. Which usually aren’t pretty.
funfact: because she's infused with a moth, her schedule is kinda nocturnal. also, when she's not paying attention she sometimes finds herself chewing on her shirt. Because moth dna says EAT FABRIC. she hates that.

In which this is a Steampunk AU, Meryl is a medic/detective, Percy is her robot partner, Ramsey is a wanted con-man, and Molly is an over-worked mechanic. Extreme detail under cut; you have been warned.
It is the 1800′s-But-With-Advanced-Technology and anyone with the brains to build one or the money to buy one has a robot to do their bidding. While some A.I.s become more than humans’ servants, it’s not easy to garner respect from the people that built them, and they are treated as second-class citizens in fear they will revolt. The government intentionally releases incorrect statistics and funds propaganda to fearmonger citizens into believing a robot-rising could happen any day. In this universe, you have: Meryl Lockhart: A young medic working as a detective in Sweet Jazz city. She has an anxiety disorder and frequently experiences anxiety attacks at work. Because of this, she is often underestimated and treated with a lack of respect, something that greatly bothers her. As far as androids go, although she is terrified of them, she does try to treat them as well as she can. However, she is terrified that if she works with Percy and says/does the wrong thing, she will malfunction and possibly hurt her. Percival King: An android made originally for detective work specifically, Percy has carved her way in her work as an independent worker that doesn’t need an owner and is the only android working in the police station. Despite this, she is not given her due respect by other officers (Who often refer to her as ‘Detective Defective’ as she does not always work as intended) and is rarely treated equally by her peers, who are mostly jealous she is so good at her job and afraid they will be replaced. Recently, she has been upgraded by Sylvester Ashling to have an ‘Anxiety Assistance’ feature specifically for Meryl.
Ramsey Murdoch: A sneaky rat man and salesmen, Ramsey Murdoch is an ‘augmentation’, a human who has been given mechanical parts in order to help him live an easier life. Unfortunately, the easy life these days is in crime, and his main occupation is swindling unsuspecting shoppers in the market with his fake jewellery. He claims to have knowledge on the whereabout of Zora Salazar, a known augmented terrorist who wants to free androids completely of human control.
Molly Blyndeff: An overworked child mechanic. Molly works in her father’s shop (though he is never around) fixing robots and androids, as well as building and tinkering with her own creations. Unfortunately, her ears were hurt terribly in an accident when she was younger, and she is not old enough to be augmented to fix it. For this reason, anyone who enters the store must respectfully remain as quiet as possible. She is a strict Robot Rights Activist, and believes androids should be able to choose what they will be. She has a special place in her heart for Percy, who is her second favourite robot.
Giovanni Potage: Originally created to cook and serve soups in a fancy, over-priced restaurant, android Giovanni quickly gained sentience and defied his creators. Now, he hides out in Molly’s store, begging her for ‘cool’ upgrades to his robot form and frequently leaves to protest for rights by inconveniencing humans. For the most part, he is harmless, though he has been in trouble with the law. He believes Percy is foolish for working for the government when they actively oppose android rights. He is Molly’s first favourite robot.
Zora Salazar: An augmentation who has experienced the unfairness of the law first hand, Zora Salazar uses her constantly improving mechanical parts to violently protest the treatment of androids and augmentations. However, she is not opposed to hurting and killing those she believes stand in her way or work against her, and her methods are barbaric. While at one time her point may have been good, her anger has clouded her judgment, and she is fighting for no one but herself.
Sylvester Ashling: A psychologist who dabbles in mechanics, Sylvester Ashling usually spends his time researching the effects of growing dependence on robots in the society on the psyche of others as well as how sentient androids think and feel.
Mera Salamin: Rich engineer who wants to fully augment herself in order to cope with her crippling illness. Does not really care about the state of the population or the Android v. Human mess, just wants to not be in pain.
Indus Tarbella: An Android built by Mera to protect and defend. Likes humans and androids and just wants everyone to get along! :]
Basic Plot
Meryl is partnered with ‘Detective Defective’ Percival King for her anxiety. After being put on the case to find a con-man, the two of them head to the town square and split up. While Meryl deals with ‘Big Crowd Panic’, Percy runs into the very friendly Ramsey Murdoch, who introduces himself as ‘Larry Biggs’ and attempts to sell her fake gold. When she reveals she is looking for a con-man, he offers to help. ‘What a lovely salesman,’ thinks Percy, whose facial recognition processors do not work. After apparently neither of them have found anything, Percy drags Ramsey to meet her partner. Ramsey, realising he has doomed himself, is immediately apprehended by Meryl. However, he insists he has information about a Anti-Android Terrorist, Zora Salazar, that will be much more valuable to them than his arrest. While Percy is initially hesitant, Meryl, who wishes to prove herself to the other Officers, convinces Percy it will be beneficial for her mental health and the two of them embark, alongside the Rat Man, on a steam punk adventure, during which Meryl overcomes her fear of robots and learns there is more to them than meets the eye, and Percy learns that sometimes laws are unfair and she is more than what she is made for. There is, somehow, even more to it than that, but I will save you from spending years reading this. Thank you if you did get to the end of this post, you must be insane. If you any questions about this AU, please feel free to ask them. :]

Going in blind: Watching season 2 for the first time. Random thoughts.
Tumblr media
Huh. Only 7 episodes. Not complaining necessarily. For series with an ongoing plot I've definitely become more in favor with their seasons only having as many episodes as they need rather than them having to stretch themselves out to full up a certain number of episodes, which can lead to padding and just bad character moments.
Episode 1: Jeez. Catra visiting Shadow Weaver's cell just to rub her success in her face and verbally abuse her back for once. It's like a twisted version of Zuko and Ozai from ATLA. Catra's upbringing under her was abusive but this is far from a healthy way for her to deal with it. She's basically deliberately swimming in her resentment.
Episode 2: It's not that I'm rooting for her but by-golly was it fun to watch Catra act like just the absolute worst she could while she was Glimmer and Bow's captive.
I touched on this in season 1 but part of the drama of the heroes feeling guilt over leaving Entrapta behind is kind of lost on me a bit simply because it was her own fault it happened. She deliberately went back into the purge room because of her machine obsession, which then closed on her and erupted in flames. It was more than reasonable to assume she was dead and no one but her was to blame, so I'm not really able to be invested in their guilt over it.
That said, weirdly enough I do like that her "abandonment" doesn't seem to be even a blip on the radar for Entrapta herself. She hasn't joined the horde because she resents the heroes or felt left behind, she simply is so obsessed with machines and experimentation that she'll be on the side of whoever lets her do the most of that. Like, it's selfish and irresponsible but it's very in-character and I'd far rather have a traitor motivation be based in that over something stupid like a misunderstanding.
Episode 3: I love the mental image of Shadow Weaver thinking up princess-themed ghost stories to tell Adora as a child.
So, if the previous She-Ra Mara separated Eternia from the other realms/planets/whatever she did and that's what cut off the She-Ra line for 1000 years, I'm guessing Hordak may be from the time before that happened, thus his drive to create portals and calling Eternia a backwards world. Either he's naturally long-lived or his technology is extending his life.
Episode 4: You know, you could maybe argue it was vague enough that it could be taken other ways but I'm definitely getting some vibes here that Scorpia is crushing on Catra. She literally refers to the two of them as soulmates at one point. I know she says she's trying to be friends but this feels a level beyond that.
Fun little reference to the original She-Ra cartoon thrown in there (and maybe Cowboy Bebop...? James Bond...? What was Glimmer's art style supposed to be?). I like how it is more like just playful ribbing than anything outright dumping on the original. Again, I've never seen original She-Ra but whenever remakes/adaptations go out of their way to trash to the original I always kind of wonder why they bothered doing an adaptation if the original is just that bad? Also, I was having trouble sleeping so it was about 2am when I watched this episode and the very Eartha Kitt Catwoman Catra made it very difficult for me not to lose my **** and stay quiet. With how much of a contrast that version is from the one in this series, that was hilarious. Bonus note, it's a nice touch that Frosta's version of Catra is a pretty crasher in that sweet suit, since that's the only impression of Catra she's ever had.
Adora being a chosen one is definitely elevated up simply by how much the pressure of what she's supposed to be is getting to her. I'm likely going to keep making Avatar The Last Airbender comparisons throughout the series but that's partly because I went into this series figuring it'd be at least structured similar to ATLA (season 1 being more episodic and a little more kid-friendly as it builds up the world before getting more serious later). Adora and Aang are interesting to compare here. Aang's worries early on were less apparent because he was more in-denial/choosing not to think about his problems that much, which fit with his character as a free-spirited Air Nomad. While Adora is much more military-minded. She can't keep herself from thinking about her problems and trying to prepare for the worst-case scenario. And jeez, that idea of who/how Catra is in her mind. Not only beating her but making her watch as she takes everything she cares about away. Not Shadow Weaver, not Lord Hordak, but Catra. That whole Lion King Mufasa/Scar moment between them in episode 11 and their fight in the S1 finale really did a number on her mental image of her old friend. Not reasonably so.
Minor note: I'm sure I'm the only one who got this impression but by the look of it, the way the robot's eye moved, and the music, after getting the soda spilled on it that little spybot gained sentience for half a second and then immediately died. It was so darkly comedic I had to laugh.
Episode 5: So that red disc is basically She-Ra's Red Kryptonite, having an effect on the mind rather than the body. The drunk Adora joke doesn't really do it for me but it did get some nice interactions going between Scorpia and Sea Hawk, two characters I certainly wasn't expecting to bond. I did really like Catra's panic when berserker She-Ra nearly beheads her. The implication is that is Adora really wanted to kill her Catra would already probably be dead. It's a thing I like about powerhouse characters like Superman or Aang, who could just demolish everything around them and don't simply because they're a good person...which in turn makes them the scariest person on the planet when they're well and truly ticked off. I'm not going to lie, I do kind of want to see a She-Ra version of Aang when Appa was stolen or when Superman fought The Elite.
Also, Catra's line of "I have control over Adora. I'm not giving that up for anything.". There's a lot to read into there.
Episode 6: I guess my prediction was sort of right. Shadow Weaver became basically a magic parasite and while it did increase the power she's capable of the implication seems to be that she needs a constant fix of magic to keep herself going, thus her attachment to the Black Garnet.
Have we seen Micah before? Given how long ago the flashback seems set, the fact that Shadow Weaver didn't kill him and thus he probably becomes someone important later in life, I'm guessing he's Glimmer's dad and the queen's late husband, since I think he's the only important male character whose face we haven't seen yet. Also, he's voice by Ezra from Star Wars Rebels and that cracks me up for some reason. It's the exact same voice and a relatively similar character.
I compared Catra and Shadow Weaver with a kind of twisted version of Zuko and Ozai and that definitely still fits here. Both Catra and Zuko confront their parent and call them out for the inexcusable abuse they put them through but while that moment was the start of Zuko's upwards journey this and SW's betrayal seems like it's going to cause Catra to spiral even further. Makes sense why Adora leaving affected her so much. She's probably the only one Catra's ever had that she could consistently trust and rely on, even if she did somewhat resent her.
Not surprised Hordak is getting along with Entrapta. She's not socially aware enough to be scared or intimidated by him, so she'll speak frankly, and since all she wants to talk about is the machines, experiments, and how they could get them to work Hordak probably doesn't take much issue with that. She's producing results, which is what he cares about, thus also why Shadow Weaver and Catra started losing favor with him. I wonder if Catra is going through imposter syndrome? Shadow Weaver had that line that Entrapta earned her place next to Hordak and, if you think about it, Catra hasn't really "earned" anything. We saw that she didn't really take her training or studies that seriously, showing up late to combat practice and even getting partial credit for what Adora beat. She wasn't promoted to Force Captain because of her own abilities but because Adora had defected when she was supposed to get that title. She's come close to a few victories but never really had any except for Glimmer and Bow's kidnapping...whom she then basically let escape when she returned Adora's sword to her. She doesn't have the slightest clue how the horde's bureaucracy works when trying to get things done, like simply getting troops armor. Given how much better than her Adora always was and how little she herself has to her name, I wonder is subconsciously Catra believes she doesn't deserve her current position and thus why she's fretting so much over trying to prove herself.
Episode 7: Am I mistaken or did Bow's parents say that he's the youngest of TWELVE siblings? I was going to ask whether Bow was adopted or if his dad's used a surrogate or if maybe there's even just simply magic in She-Ra's world that allows two people of the same sex to have a child together but now I'm just focused on the 12 kids thing. I get nervous just imagining myself having more than one. You should see me when I'm with two cats. I have to pet both of them because I'd feel like I'd be making one feel left out and like the other is the favorite. I'm a mess with kids.
The dad with dreadlocks (Lance?), his design looked familiar to me and I finally realized it reminded me a of a fanart design for a human Grim from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Very different voices between those two characters though.
I wonder if there's any significance to the robot protecting the crystal having the same design as those in the artic in episode 5? Obviously both have the connection to the First Ones but the robot in the forest who was also protecting First Ones' tech had a more insect-like design over these more worm/Graboid ones.
I'm kind of curious what Hordak would have done if Catra had told the truth. Given his interactions with her and Shadow Weaver he doesn't seem like the time to tolerate failure but I suppose the implication here is that he at least would respect those who own up to their failures. Or I suppose more simply he was just testing to see if she would lie to him and since she did there's little merit in keeping her in a position of authority anymore where she could lie about important things again.
Season 2 verdict: Still enjoying it. Another person on this reddit recommended I view seasons 2 and 3 as one since they are basically just one season split in two. I was going to do that but this ended up longer than I thought I would, so I'll just do 2 and 3 separate to keep them semi-organized and easier to read.
I think overall Catra is my favorite character since she has the most interesting backstory, interactions, and just general path through the story out of everyone. She's like Pearl from Steven Universe or, well, Zuko. There's just so much baggage there that she's trying and kind of failing to deal with. I'm always invested in whatever's happening when she's onscreen. Hordak so far is a good big boss villain for Adora to face but Catra is a good archenemy for her.

what KILLS me is that William was right!!! Dolores WAS different/aware/etc!! that robot loving lil bitch was RIGHT!! he was so caught up in being into dolores and then being heartbroken that he lost all conviction about it!  he went on a psychotic murderous rampage for her, OBSESSED over the park because of her, are you telling me she never had a slipup where she sort of remembered him and kindled that hope again?? is that what you’re telling me??
all that conviction he gained in the park gone in an instant. the maze COULD have been for him!
imagine Robert paid attention for five fucking seconds or for some weird reason Arnold was still in the picture?? like c’mon you’re telling me the hosts don’t have some sort of alert program when someone’s as enthusiastically pro-robot consciousness as William? Imagine they take William under their collective wing and he takes over Delos (and is still a bit of a bastard!) for the express purpose of protecting the hosts and being rich and respectable and powerful enough to start real discussions about AI rights
and of course he’s still in love with Dolores and Robert/Arnold are like. it’s possible her feelings for you are hers, unscripted, but that’s not really the point, that can’t be your ultimate goal or whatever
and the tragic love story of william and dolores! dolores who remembers him sometimes and he keeps coming back to the park to see her and going slightly insane, but Robert has explained to him that they can’t magic her out to the real world and they can’t let her retain her memories because that’s horrific
and then!!! when they’re at the church and she’s telling him someone is coming for her, someone who loves her and she loves, and he’s just like oh fuck OFF theodore-- and she says William! She’s talking about him! Jesus fuck how devastating?? to realize that you were right, that you weren’t crazy, she is special, she remembers (how much does she remember?) but it’s been too long and he’s gone too far and it doesn’t matter anymore. he’s just cared about this for so long that it’s routine, it’s what he’s supposed to do even if he doesn’t think it will work, doesn’t care. the Man in Black, gone unhinged after decades of waiting for Dolores to remember and wrangling shit at Delos.
Maybe he DOES still care but he’s been forcing himself not to for decades??
If he doesn’t fully understand what Arnold did, that pain is requisite for consciousness, in the show he at least seems to GRASP it, or the importance of trauma? The whole dichotomy between him killing Maeve’s daughter and not feeling anything vs. Maeve attaining personhood/sentience/consciousness because she could not and did not WANT to stop feeling the pain of losing her daughter. It’s making me feel so many things. Just imagine William knowing that, wanting to make Westworld “real” wanting the hosts to be able to fight back, and realizing that the only way to do that is to be the worst possible version of himself (The Man in Black). Which in a very twisted way kind of makes sense! he is trying to “wake up” the hosts. And he’s doing that by being brutal and sadistic and terrible but he’s doing it for their own good, for the greater good
THIS IS THE KIND OF FUCKERY I WANT FROM THIS SHOW!! William being cold and hard and detached because if he’s NOT he’s going to absolutely lose his shit because he ~has~ to terrorize Dolores so she can wake up.
Or??? OR if they put that brutal, crystal-clear knife purpose William, the one who made it to the edges of the park, they put that version of him in a host (The Man In Black was originally a host in the movie, I think?) and he’s the exact opposite of Stubbs. Stubbs is responsible for the safety of the hosts. The Man in Black is responsible for trying to wake them up, which involves tormenting them.
He’s programmed not to feel things, to be a little numb, why killing Maeve’s daughter, killing his own daughter, are not as impactful as you’d think they would be for him. His core drive to feel something real with real stakes will make the stakes real and allow the hosts to win, but he never can. The maze is NOT for him, it is NOT for The Man in Black who is a host, because that’s the cruelest thing you could do to him. Because to FEEL, to know what he is, and to remember all of that--that he did all those horrible things to his kind, and he did it with a grim sort of enjoyment--that he’s the ULTIMATE pawn, I don’t know if he could take it.
and eventually you have pre-losing-Dolores-William as a host, who doesn’t know everything the Man in Black does, who is still young and hopeful and idealistic and winds up fighting with himself (either himself as a human or as a host), despising everything he became, everything he had to become. And his existence is the ultimate act of hope and self-hatred human William has ever done, because one day Dolores will remember him and he wants to be there for her (the maze is for him!) as she remembers him, not the man he had to become
host!William being capable of evolving beyond who he was all those years ago, the ANGST, he’s all hopeful and idealistic and will that version care about Dolores? Does that William have what it takes to be next to the evolved version of Dolores? Can he stomach it? The Man in Black version of himself tinkering with his hopeful version’s code, uploading part of who he became because the William that slaughtered an army to find Dolores will probably do okay next to a Dolores about to upend the entire world.
and their shared belief that westworld is the only real world... season two would have been FERAL. dolores wouldn’t have had to hack teddy because THAT’S JUST WHO WILLIAM IS NOW. and they love each other in a brutal bloody way but they aren’t NICE to each other, Dolores calls William “Billy” when he doesn’t follow her orders
just. the UNHINGEDNESS. can you IMAGINE the William that made it to the edge of the park and sent Logan into the wild next to a Dolores who is going to lie, steal, cheat, and kill a lot to get to the mainland? GIVE ME MY FUCKED UP POWER COUPLE
anyway why did robots happen to me

Zero-One Final Ep. Final Thoughts
...
*Lets out a long sigh*
This was a good series.
Startin’ from the cute and funny beginning to this deep, enriching story that makes you question what constitutes a heart. Be it in the traditional sense, or metaphysical where robots gain sentience. And if Canner’s gain that on what level are they similar or dissimilar to humans?
The trials that Aruto and the group had gone through in the year they’ve been protecting the city from the threat of Metsubou, to Thouser, to finally Ark. It all flowed so well and kept me comin’ back each week.
I’m sad to see it end, but I’m glad to see where it went.
Thouser builds on his robot dog fetish, Naki joins AIMS as a scientific advisor with Yai-bae vouching for her, Fuwa being the protector of the city, Izakuchi...no one cares, and Jin and Horobi reviving Mestubou to protect people from malice to prevent the return of Ark.
...We’ll see how that last one turns out.
The arrival of this new rider with the Eden Driver will definitely be the one to look out for.
But for right now...let’s take a breath and be easy with knowin’ that Aruto will try to build back his secretary waifu with well meaning but still odd obsession.
Kamen Rider Zero-One...is a good series.
C: *Sniffs*
Holy crap, I forgot you were there.
C: So beautiful...
What? The shows?
C: I can’t believe my life will end not even knowing about these things before I go.
Well...*Picks up Blue Razor*
BR: Are we really doin’ this?
You know what? Yeah. *Brings Blue Razor down, slicing the bindings of Cashual.*
C: What?
Maybe I’m bein’ sentimental, but I can’t end someone who realizes the amazing-ness of Toku. So...I’m lettin’ you go. Tell your people, make some friends. Because that’s what it’s all about. And maybe, just like with the rest of them...I’ll see you next time.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power S01E12 - Light Hope
Tumblr media
With that title it can only be "Answers: the episode" or "Some answers but a lot more new questions: the episode" Nothing else to say so let's do this!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a couple of days for Adora. Princess Prom, rescuing Glimmer, losing Entrapta, being betrayed by her oldest friend... it's no surprise she's freaking out.
Tumblr media
I mean, if you already know...
Tumblr media
What. Is it because she'd look monstrous or because she'd look like someone Adora would know?
Tumblr media
I shouldn't be watching this right after finishing up last episode because I'm all "really? you're really going to make laugh after what you made me go through last episode?"
Tumblr media
Oh, I thought we wouldn't see Glimmer until the finale but I guess that'd go against what Glimmer has been doing the entire season. She can't wait for She-Ra to save her, she's probably going to try something else.
Tumblr media
A robot from Entrapta?
Tumblr media
Oh. The bloodthirsty horse is back.
Tumblr media
oh no the horse can talk, can't believe they found a way to make him worse. Also, he radiates big sea hawk energy.
Tumblr media
So, did the reptile She-Ra transformed also gain sentience and the ability to speak?
Tumblr media
That's more Mermista than Sea Hawk.
Tumblr media
This is so dumb. So so dumb. I love it.
Tumblr media
And here's the proactivity I was waiting for.
Tumblr media
...sure, keep scaring your mother. I'm sure that's going to help Angella stop being so overprotective.
Tumblr media
Aw, this is so cute and wholesome. They really needed to just talk.
Tumblr media
Poor subtitles, they really struggle trying to catch all of Entrapta. I guess magic _does_ exist separate from whatever the First Ones were doing, they just integrated it into their tech.
Tumblr media
Scorpia is the best.
Tumblr media
This is supposed to be funny but I just find it sad that no one had the patience to deal with Entrapta before.
Tumblr media
But why. Why would a space-faring civilization build something specifically for someone? Her vision did imply she had escaped like superman escaped from Krypton, so... is she the last of her kind?
Tumblr media
oooooh
...but why was Adora chosen then?
Tumblr media
I think I can see all the princesses we already know, leaving four above (one with a cat's tail? Catra's original family?) and the one in between Netossa and Scorpia. I don't remember them from Princess Prom but I wasn't paying that much attention to the crowd shots. More princesses for the alliance next season~
Tumblr media
What _is_ balance in this context? Is it just kicking the horde out of the planet or something else that hasn't been explained? Is it the key to prevent a disaster?
Tumblr media
Welp, that sounds dangerously world-ending.
Tumblr media
"so, when can we start?"
Tumblr media
there you go
Tumblr media
welp, that's even creepier than I expected.
Tumblr media
Welp, last episode really was a "let go of your attachments" thing. I was hoping it wasn't. Is Adora going to have to give up opening her last chakra because of her earthly attachments?
Tumblr media
Wait, wasn't the last She-Ra a thousand years ago? Razz is _old_. Although in a world with immortal queens I guess it's not that surprising. And since it was a thousand years ago Mara can't be Adora's mom. One more theory to the trash.
Tumblr media
I wonder if Mara was trying to do the right thing by trying to destroy She-Ra's powers. Maybe they are a threat to something, or maybe the First Ones were evil and she was the first to realize it and try to do something about it.
Tumblr media
Replace one bad mother/authority figure with another? It doesn't sound like a good idea.
Tumblr media
Adora's strongest power: being a magnet that attracts manipulative authority figures.
Tumblr media
Catra's been her best student to her _real_ lessons and she doesn't even realize it.
Tumblr media
That _has_ to feel satisfying as hell. I guess Shadow Weaver was wearing a tiny bit of the rune stone and that's where she got her powers. What happened to her previous magic?
Tumblr media
The Black Garnet's new explosive power is probably pretty bad news if even the animals are running away
Tumblr media
I guess we'll see first-hand what happens when the balance of the planet is reaaaally disrupted.
Tumblr media
I wish they had used the horse a bit more because all his powers suddenly coming up feels a bit contrived.
Tumblr media
Even his answers are great.
Tumblr media
That triple scoff was just perfect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have to admit this got to me a little, they are such good friends.
Tumblr media
Hey, first full transformation sequence in a while. If they wanted to make it more impactful by not using it... it worked!
Tumblr media
With the end of the world? _how_
---
Wow, that was a lore dump.
Poor Adora, jumping from an emotionally manipulative mother figure with illusion powers to another emotionally manipulative mother-ish figure with mental powers that allow her to use Adora's own memories against her.
Why was Shadow Weaver so attached to Adora? Did she know she had a destiny or was it something else? If it was something else, that'd make her the only adult in Adora's life to care about _her_ instead of She-Ra, which is pretty tragic. And if she knew about Adora's destiny, that'd mean that every adult in her life has wanted to use her, which is even more tragic.
In any case, I doubt this is the last time Adora will have to deal with what becoming She-Ra means for her and the world, Bow and Glimmer's rescue is just a temporal reprieve.
Some thoughts about the mountain of new info:
* Mara straight up took an entire planet and dumped it into another dimension. How powerful can She-Ra be? Why did she do it? Was it because she was genuinely losing her mind or was it to protect the universe from whatever Etheria is or the First Ones? Of course, Light Hope would interpret it in a negative way if it was the latter.
* The dimension switch explains Razz's line about the stars not being there anymore. How old is she? What _is_ she?
* Also, WHAT IS ADORA? What makes her so special to be chosen after a thousand years of no She-ras?
* This episode confirms that the Princesses use a different power source than the sorcerers at Mystacor. What do they use? Ambient magic?
* Does Entrapta have a Rune Stone? If she doesn't it'd explain why she doesn't seem to have magical powers besides her hair and why she hasn't needed to recharge. I couldn't find her in the holographic circle of princesses but there was an empty spot between Glimmer and the green princess at the top. Maybe that was her spot before losing her Rune Stone? It could be related to whatever happened to her parents.
* I wish Swift Wind had been used a bit more during the season. While he was funny and I'm glad he could play therapist with Adora, his multiple powers felt a bit too convenient.
I think that's all for now, can't wait for the season finale! Until next time!

Power Rangers Guardian Spirits
Tumblr media
(Logo by @masterpikachu6)
Tumblr media
On the planet Gosei there exist three tribes. The Sky, Land, and Sea Tribes. Each tribe has specialties and each is unique in its own way. (intertribal friendships and relationships are not uncommon nor are they frowned upon) The Sky Tribe live in cities in the sky. The Land Tribe live in villages on the plains. The Sea Tribe live on floating towns. However when evil threatens Gosei each Tribe sends two representatives to form the Power Rangers Guardian Spirits! (I came up with most of this before Megaforce was even a concept)
From the Sky Tribe come the lovers
Tumblr media
Red- Talaa- Guardian of the Storm!- Dragon Saber Age: 21 Personality/Bio: Talaa is the responsible, dedicated, and hardworking, yet blunt and reckless, leader of the Guardian Rangers. While he truly cares for his girlfriend, Rei, his focus remains on defeating Lucif and the rest of his alliance. This dedication to defeating Lucif’s forces annoys Rei, but Talaa is more than determined to prove that his attentions can be split equally between Lucif’s evil forces and Rei. Though involved romantically with Rei, he tries to keep their personal relationship professional while on duty, so as not to give Lucif’s forces a reason to use her to get to him. Face Claim: Andrew Garfield
Tumblr media
Pink- Rei- Guardian of the Wind!- Phoenix Blaster Age: 20 Personality/Bio: Rei, to put it lightly, is a rough and tumble kind of girl, but under that is a sweet breath of fresh air, she fights for the ones she loves, as well as fight to keep her boyfriend’s attention, she’s a strong kind girl who puts the Power in Power Ranger Face Claim: Bex Taylor-Klaus From the Land Tribe come the childhood friends
Tumblr media
Black- Gari- Guardian of the Mountains!- Serpent Ax Age: 19 Personality/Bio: Gari grew up in a small Land Tribe village along with Nomue, with whom he shares a long lasting friendship. As the Guardian of the Mountains, he is a very stoic and serious person, much like his namesake, and spends most of his free time either training or reading. He rarely smiles, though Nomue is the one of only a handful capable of making him do so, the other is his boyfriend. He was entrusted with the Black Guardian Ranger powers by Master Spirit. Face Claim: Jeremy Irvine
Tumblr media
Yellow- Nomue- Guardian of the Jungles!- Tiger Claw Age: 18 Personality/Bio: Nomue, the Guardian of the Jungle, is the Yellow Guardian Ranger. She grew up in the same village as Gari and is his best friend. She is bubbly and cheerful and is the only one capable of making Gari smile. She likes to tease Gari for being so serious, but values his friendship and his assistance on the battlefield. They work well together on the battlefield and complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Face Claim: Sayesha Saigal From the Sea Tribe come the siblings
Tumblr media
Blue- Hedy- Guardian of the Waves!- Shark Shot Age: 18 Personality/Bio: The heart of the operation, Hedy feels as though she has to put in twice the effort to contribute to the team, due to her brother’s injury, and thus has put it onto herself to try and keep up. Her kindness to see the best in others can get her in trouble, and sometimes she feels she needs to go on her own, but her heart is in the right place. Face Claim: Michele Selene Ang
Tumblr media
Green- Tidus- Guardian of the Tides!- Turtle Shield Age: 19 Personality/Bio: Tidus is the older brother of Hedy. He attempted to pass his Microzord to his sister, but it was heavily damaged in the battle and was shattered. His injury left his sister devastated and feeling as though she had to put more effort into her contributions to the team, but he was able to convince his sister that everything is alright, that she doesn’t need to try so hard to make contributions to the team, that even the small things she does make a huge difference. For his actions and for betraying the trust of his team the Counsel was forced to banish him to the void of space. However as they did he attempted to unleash the power of the monster. Conversion Corner: Mass Effect Races part 4
Quarian and Geth
And now for two races who share a history that is openly antagonistic through the bulk of the main trilogy.
The Quarians are a race of exiles, clad in environmental suits for the vast majority of their lives, living and serving aboard a caravan of ships called the Migrant Fleet.
The specifics of quarian appearance were left a mystery for  most the main series, but it has sense been revealed that quarians are human-like, save for their purple-grey skin tones, three fingers and toes (two for males) slighter, shorter builds than the human average, and weak immune systems, which thanks to evolving on a world with minimal hostile microbes followed by generations of living in sterile starship environments, have all but atrophied, making them very sensitive to unfiltered environments, suffering minor allergic reactions to things more races ignore, and occasionally risking dangerous or even lethal infections from bacterial and viral agents.
As such, quarians are almost always clad in their signature environmental suits and armor, which they’ve applied their cultural arts and designs to make more pleasing than simple utilitarian designs. While it is possible for a quarrian to survive without these suits, they react immediately to particles in the air, and risk catching something, though this risk can be reduced with immunity-boosting medical care. For most quarians, the most intimate thing they’re willing to risk aside from reproduction is to link the atmospheres between two suits, sharing air.
Despite their frailty involving microorganisms, quarians have surprising resilience, with evidence of impressive endurance in hostile environments.
The quarians were forced to leave their homeworld when the fear-based decision to slaughter the infant sentient macines they had created backfired, resulting in a mass exodus of the survivors aboard an armada of military and civilian ships which came to become the collective new home of the race. In such an environment, survival took precedent over whatever governance was in power before, and so their economy became one of sharing, with entire ships converted into hydroponic farms, technology creation, salvage, and refurbishment bays, and so on, with each captain of a vessel having a voice in the governing of the fleet, and every individual learning at least one starship vocation so as to be able to serve on the crew.
In their heavily-regulated society, song, stories and dance are favored arts as a form of expression and distraction among the quarians, particularly since such arts do not consume resources or space the way that physical art medium would.
 +2 Con, +2 Wis, -2 Cha
Hp 6
Size and Type: Quarians are medium humanoids of the quarian subtype
Racial Traits:
Darkvision 60 ft
Second Skin: Quarians are extremely comfortable wearing armor at all times, and reduce any armor check penalty by 1.
Vocational Training: A quarian gains a +2 bonus to all skill checks and attack rolls made as part of performing actions in starship combat with a particular role chosen at first level. Alternatively, the quarian can pick one skill to gain a +2 racial bonus in.
Weak Immunity: Quarians take a -4 to saves against poison and disease, and are constantly sickened while not in a medically clean environment or benefiting from environmental protections.
Following up the quarians, we have their wayward creations: The Geth.
Back when the quarians lived on their homeworld, they experimented with various robotic machines to serve and protect them. However, when the quarians discovered that their creations were developing sentience, they panicked, and the ensuing war drove them from their homeworld.
For the geth’s part, they only wished to survive in peace. However, the violent reaction of their creators was a formative memory in the collective consciousness of the geth, making them xenophobic and insular towards the rest of the ME universe, that is until the actions of a certain protagonist.
Tragically, the majority of interactions with the geth end up antagonistic in the series thanks to religious zealotry among a geth faction followed by the quarians sparking another war against them. Ultimately the fate of both races lies with the protagonist.
But enough about that, let’s better explain the geth condition. As a primitive form of VI that is slowly approaching the state of true AI, the geth are actually bodiless programs that inhabit various servers in geth possession, but when needed, upload themselves into mobile platforms to interact with the world around them. The vast majority of these platforms are humanoid, with body plans similar to their creators, save for their heads, which are forward-arched elongaged craniums dominated by large glowing photoreceptors.
Each geth program on its own is barely sapient, akin to an animal. Only when gathered in great groups in a single platform can they achieve more complex conscious thought, delegating various tasks to each individual program, and arriving at decisions via consensus at the speed of thought. As such, while it is incorrect to say that geth have a hive mind, they can communicate quickly between platforms with pure radio transmission, and are fully capable of disagreeing.
Of course, by the end of the main trilogy, depending on the protagonist’s actions, the geth might be wiped out, or they might have been granted true sapience, in which case I’d probably use the stats for an SRO for these fully awakened geth.
For the geth we see in most of the series, however, they are very much a smart, but sapience-wise new species, and their needs are very different from most, favoring function over form in their structures and machines, and having little concept of individuality, even when in a mobile platform since even those are controlled by a multitude. However, despite the rift between them and the quarians, the geth have a deep respect for their creators, particularly those that defended them during their initial awakening, and have been quietly caretaking the quarian homeworld in preparation for their return, in addition to working to ensure their survival.
Below I’ve done up the stats for the standard Geth mobile platform used by their troopers. Most other geth are either versions of this with better weapons and armor, or would be better represented by creature or vehicle stats. This build also assumes an advanced platform collective similar to Legion.
 +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -2 Cha
Hp 4
Size and Type: humanoid geth platforms are medium constructs with the technological subtype. However, unlike most constructs they possess constitution scores.
Racial Traits:
Collective Intelligence: Geth platforms are run by multiple geth programs. When a geth platform is destroyed, it immediately transmits its collective programs to any nearby geth, allowing the knowledge they carry to be passed on within the range of any integrated transmitters on the geth’s armor or body. Geth within this range immediately learn what the deceased geth knew, though the extra neural load of additional programs means they still need to roll to recall this knowledge with appropriate skills or intelligence checks.
Machine Priorities: A geth takes a -2 to sense motive checks against living creatures.
Shield Booster: A geth can funnel additional power into any force field armor upgrade that they currently have active. Once per day as a standard action when the force field is active, the maximum temporary hp that the force field can have increases by 50% (round down, minimum 1), and the fast healing of the force field is doubled. This effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to the geth’s con modifier, or until the force field powers down, whichever comes first. Any temp hp in excess of the shield generator’s normal capacity is lost when the effect ends.
Synth Flesh: A significant portion of geth platforms are made up of a synthetic muscle-like fiber which is similar enough to organic flesh to be healed by magical and technological means meant for organic creatures in addition to those that target constructs. However, such organic healing only recovers half the normal amount of hp.
