BlakelySpeirs? BLAKELYSPEIRS? I must know more!
BLAKELY SPEIRS!
HAH, yeaaaaah. It’s exactly what it says on the tin!
It’s going to be the sequel to “Say it (like you’ll come back)” of post war and going home to America and as the title suggests, it’s going to be Blakely and Speirs whom it focuses on.
I couldn’t even tell you where it came from but I can tell you that I am fully obsessed. Speirs and his Sassy Pilot who can match him crazy for crazy - *chef kiss*. They also become the information link between E Company and the 100th since they’re together.
It’s going to be SO SO fun, honestly I am so excited. It’s going to take them through post war, up to Korea and Vietnam!
Here’s a little snippet of what I’ve been working on:
————-
Blakely leans in to light his cigarette against his own and the boldness almost knocks Speirs back a step. Almost. He recovers quickly and places his back to the cool brick behind him and thinks maybe this was what DeMarco and his boys had been like before the camp had broken them. Cocky.
Blakely doesn’t seem to care about the prospect of a blue ticket, or if he does he has an impossible confidence in the men around him, enough confidence that he’s not worried about being ratted out to the brass. It makes sense. Speirs is in the lion's den now. He’s out of place here but Blakely’s in his element. Still, he can’t help but poke, just a little, to see if he bites.
“Careful Bomber boy, looks like you’ve had one too many.”
“Don’t think I've had enough, between you and me,” Blakely snorts, taking a drag with one hand slotted onto his hip like he’s testing him. “But maybe I'm just looking for something stronger.”
@scarecrowmax ( I know u asked about the boyz too! <3)

Ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod. I just finished Marked and while I agree with Olivieblake’s feelings on epilogues, I must say, the one she wrote was absolutely perfect. All the end pairings, Narcissa’s redemption, the happy ending that, I’ll be honest, I didn’t think we were actually going to get… it was all just… perfect. What a way to get in all the heartbreak of a sad ending only to woosh! Fixed! I’m vaguely considering saving the epilogue just to read again when I need a dose of happiness. Now, I’m off to read Youth. Wish me luck and send me recs.

A pity this got lost with the sea of the Pinocchio remakes. Everything about it is well-made. From the writing to the animation to the voices to the setting and themes.
Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (or simply Pinocchio) is a 2022 musical dark fantasy stop-motion animated film directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, drawing from the 1883 Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It stars the voice of Gregory Mann and David Bradley, with Ewan McGregor, Burn Gorman, Ron Perlman, John Turturro, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, Tim Blake Nelson, Christoph Waltz, and Tilda Swinton.

From Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #4 and I know what you're thinking... they have totally smooched right?
Yeah duh of course they have. It just took 36 year for Tamara Blake to ever be mentioned again and that to be revealed. Thanks Jed MacKay for clearing that up!
