My favorite experience from my US trip has to be trying root beer for the first time in my life, I had high hopes for it, given I’ve been hearing about it for years, so I got into a Walmart, found the nearest soft drinks section, bought the coldest root beer I could find aaaaaand

It tasted like fucking Colgate.

It was the funniest thing, everyone in my family got to try it, and they too described it as tasting like toothpaste, with my two cousins arguing it tasted more like mouthwash.

I drank it all in the end because it was around 2 dollars, and I wasn’t about to throw them away!
