like if it hadn't been for the amount of teammate solidarity from landoscar today even I wouldn't have bothered to notice this buttt
I zoomed in on Oscar from this video of the cool down room bc I'd assumed like the caption that Oscar was giggling too but !!
mans looked pissed and didn't laugh with Carlos and George at all until George said "ahhh we shouldn't laugh" and at that point he does a smile but it slips off pretty fast and he does that little huff and goes back to being tired
like the earnest and loyal young teammate who's also gradually becoming friend to Lando, puffing up in outrage on his behalf
vs the older brothers/longtime friends to Lando who have a chuckle over that moment the same way he does with them when he's in their position
idk it's just so unbearably cute how Oscar's loyalty to Lando and him wanting to join in with the big boys play out but the loyalty to Lando winning just like how he chose not to hold his own trophy the way he and Lando usually do in the post race video bc that would be rubbing it in too much ;__;
Finally at the landsmeet, hope i can finally find out what makes ppl defend Loghain as a character, beyond what ive seen in cutscenes and Anora talking about him.
He’s interesting, i sort of get why he’s compelling story wise. But. Why do people defend him. I am curious.
Apologies if im just bringing up old fandom talking points im playing the game for the first time 🙏
like i do think it is funny that many of the blogs saying insane shit were perfectly fine with first kneejerk defending, and then continuing to be friends with queerbuck, certified racist cunt, for like months. and i am a real person. so isn’t that something
love this part of my life where the things that are difficult but challenging and good for me are things i can stop and skip and halfass, but the things that are difficult and painful and pointless are the things i have to live with no matter what
Me: "Ugh, why didn't he just kill him, I get it, Killing Unarmed Opponent Bad, it doesn't count if they just murdered six other people and then threw the weapon down and said 'LOOK! I'M UNARMED! HAHA! CAN'T KILL ME!', that's a stupid technicality..."
My Stupid Brain: "Actually, leaving him alive sets up him to found the Knights of Ren, setting up the fall of the Sith thanks to the alternate order--"
Me, when Sebastian joins my party for the first time: Okay, this time I'm not going to forget about you, Sebastian. I'm going to make an effort to use you a lot this playthrough so I can better understand you.
Also me, immediately forgetting about Sebastian while finishing Act 2 and making it halfway through Act 3 before I finally notice his Faith quest: ......................Oh. Right. My bad.
really love alternating between girls to the front and listening to washed up emo episodes. to me it so clearly demonstrates a lot of the friction btw the nebulous diy posthardcore/pre-midwest emo conglomerate and riot grrl is often a matter of like. basic difference in musical ideology and subculture values lmao. like. this guy from art monk was talking about how some of his friends bands have been forgotten because a lot of the scene was v. humble and believed in letting the music speak for itself which imo fits with a lot of women in these bands who talk about wanting to be seen as "serious artists" not bc women arent "serious" but rather its emblematic of the type of band/music relationality they want to embody. like. the women in these scenes, to varying degrees, certainly interacted and invested in the same values as their peers- its weird to imagine just bc they are women that (1) they all should think the same and (2) they all felt inherently isolated from their communities??
