I SERIOUSLY love your writing ssm <33 and to me (ex-fanfic writer) it's impressive how well you do EVERYTHING. (REMEMBER TO TAKE BREAKS WHEN YOU NEED IT)
Sometimes im litch like "Oh my god. feelings. very well written and descriptive, and I relate to it. Great." and copy-paste it to my notes (I don't even use it for anything, it's just for like 'accurate stuff' 😭)
And uh. Off topic I hate windows 11 emojis. Except the devil one. Everything else is horrid.
But back to the point your writing is f fantastic. <3
The feelings pain me too haha 😭 I feel like you can clock everything about me based off my fics lol
Thank you so much for the compliments 🩷 means a lot to hear

21, 22 and 25 for the fandom asks!
21. part of canon you think is overhyped
Spider-Man: Blue, but MOSTLY because people see it more as "the proper interpretation and take on things that happened in the 60s/early 70s comics and bringing it into the modern era" (which it's not) instead of "Peter Parker is an unreliable narrator and he's recounting HIS take on these past events and waxing somewhat nostalgically, mostly sadly about it" (which it is). Am I extremely glad I finally read it? Of course! It gave me like five whole HarryFlash moments. But I get annoyed by some interpretations of it.
22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
Well it's not my favorite part but almost all the Venom fans I know hate the breakup era (SSM (2003) #1-5 through... uh... ......Venom (2016) lol... or at least through the whole Mac Gargan era) but the truth is I have a lot of weird affection for it. Was a lot of it badly written? Yes! Does it make a lot of sense? No! But Spidey comics are about relationship drama and guess what! Venom is a Spider-Man character. Everyone's gotta have an extended breakup at some point.
Besides, the Mac era is fun! It doesn't do anyone involved any justice, but he's kinda pathetic as Venom and it amuses me. Give that man back his green suit.
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
"nobody is writing-" write it yourself. I know you don't wanna hear that, but especially in the world of fan creation where we don't get paid to do shit, you really just have to write what you want to see in the world.
Tumblr media
⬆️ this is the first symbiot3 fic published on Ao3. You see that username? Yeah. But look where we're at now, five years later:
Tumblr media
And this? This is my works page only.
Tumblr media
That's over a third of the fics in the tag. You really need to either write the stuff yourself OR find some friends that you can give brainworms to about what you wanna see and they might actually like, write it just because they love you. Or to spite you. Or a little of both!
I don't draw in a way that makes me happy, so that means if I wanna see one of my rare ships, I either have to (a) get lucky that one of my friends will draw it or (b) commission it done. But I always find a way to be able to see the content I want in the world. It's lonely sometimes but that's why ultimately you gotta create things for yourself first and foremost.

Master Post
Hi friends! I go by Hale, and here is my fanfiction master post! I will link any masterlists or other pages as I create them.
Requests are open right now, but if you send one in please keep in mind that I might not get to it for a while because I’m currently in school and I’m a slow writer. Please keep in mind that I only do “x reader” fics right now, and please read through the characters and fandoms I’m comfortable writing for before sending in a request. I also reserve the right to politely decline any requests I’m uncomfortable with for any reason.
Feel free to inquire about any of my rules, including hard and fast rules, but never do so with the intention of changing my mind, as you almost definitely will fail to.
Hard & Fast Rules
Currently only doing “x reader” fics
List reader’s gender and pronouns when requesting
TWs and CWs will always be listed before the Keep Reading cut (if none are listed, please let me know as I may have forgotten. I will mark fics as having no TWs or CWs if that is actually the case)
No suicide/suicidal ideation
No rape/non-con
No incest
Characters will always be high school aged or older at the time of writing
No (permanent) major character death (including canon)
No (permanent) minor character death (excluding canon)
No romanticization (whether literally romantic or otherwise) of Belos/Philip Wittebane, Gabriel Agreste, or William Afton
Feel free to ask me to tag certain TWs or CWs in the future
Bigots will be blocked (racists/terfs/homophobes/misogynists/etc.)
People who creep me out will be blocked
People who are generally being assholes will be blocked
Currently only doing fics where both the reader and character are high school age (because I am in high school) but as I graduate and enter university I will probably gravitate towards that instead
Softer rules
No smut (see why/exceptions)
No abusive friends/partners/relatives (see why/exceptions)
No eating disorders (see why/exceptions)
No hard substance usage (see why/exceptions)
No crossovers (see why/exceptions)

i have to admit jonsas are superior than us because they can take literal whatever random quote from the books and make it:
proof than jonsa is going to happen
proof that everyone loves sansa and wants to marry her
proof that sansa is going to be queen in the north and dany is going to become the mad queen and arya is going to be her knight in white armor
proof that jon as been in love with sansa all this time
meanwhile all i read from arya/jonrya stans is fics about arya being ugly but thats ~okay~, or arya being jealous of her sister bc sansa is prettier or something boring like arya wearing boy clothes and being a sassy mouthy girl ""dont call me ladyyy" (bc despite being older apparently she is still as immature as she was at 9 years old) to everyone who talks to her
I have never written a story like that before, and I don't need to come up with contrived reasons for why my ship will happen. All I need to do is 1) read the original outline, 2) read the books, and 3) read that SSM where George said Arya's essentially the basis of Jon's type.
Stop being weird lol

RULER'S LAW RANT: I. LOVED. this event. The story was so compelling to me!! And y'all know I'm gonna write a fic for Alexa and Abigail bc they have so much chemistry!! Abigail really is so shrewd; a lot of Yuyao fans hate her bc of her betrayal, which is very valid, and I do feel bad for Yuyao's family, but for me, Abbie's shrewdness makes her even more fun as a character. I'm not sure we've gotten this much attention to a banner esper's background + personality in a while— with character development no less!! Although Abbie will probably never stop being so calculating, and doesn't see the point in regretting choices you can't change, it is clear that she has made quite the effort to open up and be more compassionate since she betrayed Yuyao. Whether she changed out of guilt, out of her desire to grow as a person, or even just to be a better mayor, I am proud of her growth. Personally I was very disappointed with Ashley's Fireworks Festival event, and I don't think she has much of a personality outside of "i Am tHe fIRst linE oF dEfeNse oF thE eSpeR uNioN" so I am very satisfied with Ruler's Law. AND to make it even better, I got my first ever banner esper!! I had 12 spins until pity in SSM and when I got to that last one, I said "She's going to come home. I believe in her." And so she came 🥺 I knew she loved me XD I suppose I manifested her just like I manifested Clara :3 I feel so lucky! I have been having the shittiest luck with GR it's not even funny. ATP, my only hope for a good esper is getting Apollo when I finish Spatial Tower, as I am already on floor 98. But let me not talk too much about it; to conclude, I LOVED Ruler's Law, I GOT ABIGAIL (and Odette actually), Abigail and Alexa are cute, and does "Shadow Decree Technician" have a name bc they're REALLY cute sksowksm

Title: five bucks and a pizza
...says I can.
Rating: T+
Fandom: Spider-Man ((616) Comicverse)
Peter Parker/Flash Thompson
Additional Tags: Canon-Typical Violence, Fix-It of Sorts, Temporary Amnesia, Angst, Unhappy Ending, Character Death, Mild Gore
Words: 2,846
Makes some references to the events of:
Peter Parker: Spider-Man (vol 1) #44-47 Spectacular Spider-Man (vol 2) #4-6, #10 Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (vol 1) #4 Amazing Spider-Man #800 and Peter and MJ's dead baby
Just a quickie I busted out on account of being feral about the coma arc and peterflash in general, annoyed about certain friendly neighborhood comics, and then i got carried away and extended it to ASM800 cause it felt... fitting.
(you don't actually need to read the comics listed above but they provide some context for some of the dialogue and stuff, and personally i love (most of) jenkins/ramos (the listed ppsm + ssm issues) so... you know i won't tell you NOT to read em but it would probably take longer to read those issues than this fic 😂)

I'm doing my annual reread of Starlight & Strange Magic, and every. single. time. I read this, I cannot stop giggling from when Woosley delivers Lucy's invitation to tea for Garcia TO KARL, through the entire freaking tea party at Ada's. I mean...
>>>Flynn gives him a shut-up-you-idiot look and pivots smoothly on his heel, offering his arm to Lucy. She has nothing else to do but take it, as the two of them appear to be trying to literally kill each other with courtesy, to prove that they have the better manners.<<<
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And (*AND!!!* <- pretend that text is blinking)... Karl's there to witness this madness!!! OMG. I just can't with how comedically perfect this is 😂 So, yeah... for the gazillion-and-umpteenth time, thank you for putting this fic out into the world ❤🙏😊 (IMO, everyone -even non-Timeless fans- should read this 😊)
Hahaha, thank you so much. SSM is absolutely a personal favorite of mine and one that I also like periodically revisiting for many reasons (the fantasy! The history! The steampunk Victorian England! The comedy! THE SOKOLOVS!) and I know that you really enjoy it, so I'm glad that you're once more having a lot of fun with your re-read. ;)

SIMILAR ENERGY TBH I feel like legitimately they both have an issue where they're doing a lot of what they do because they're thrill-seekers, even if they might not admit it... but also switch very quickly to [INTERNAL SCREAMING] when situations actually get totally out of their control TL;DR my headcanon is that this means post-series Menken would absolutely have gotten more involved in criminal stuff and potentially even become a supervillain :|b

Soldiers of Fate - Ch. 6
Leijiverse Crossover; Chapter 6 - Hollow Men
I got a couple comments asking me to continue this fic, and I was like “Sure.” So for those of you who don’t remember this one, it’s the one with all the Harlocks trying to kill each other. Good times.
~3k words
“A” had gotten the better end of this deal.
I wasn’t sure why I agreed to search the jungle rather than the forest. I’d started in the forest, wandered around the place for ages. I’d seen more footprints than people, but I’d gotten to know the layout somewhat.
I knew nothing of the jungle except that it was far too quiet. Jungles were supposed to be a cacophony of animals and insects. The only sound in this fake world were the rustle of branches in the wind and the slosh of my boots after it started to rain. Few drops reached through the thick layer of leaves overhead, but that didn’t stop the ground from becoming thick with mud. Every step threatened to rip my boots off my feet.
I wondered if “B” was faring any better. We’d split off from each other as soon as we reached the jungle area. Even in the dense trees, he slipped away like a ghost. As soon as he was out of site, he was out of earshot as well. But there was no way he could keep up a trick like that with all the damn mud.
A thunderstorm would have been more helpful than just a downpour. Lightning would have provided some sight. Between the overcast skies and the overcast canopy, I couldn’t see more than a few meters ahead. The trees were all shadows that I used for stability as I bumbled along through the endless black void that was the rest of my surroundings.
Not too far into my search, I thought the storm may have picked up, as I heard a clap of thunder roll in from the distance. But I never saw any lightning.
When one of the gems shattered apart in a clear, ringing note a minute later, my stomach turned over in my gut. As I squinted at the wristband in the low light to find one of the crescent-branded gems gone, another one cracked and fell away. “Damn,” I whispered as I turned my wrist over to find the second star gem broken like the first. I didn’t even know which group was gone. I had to hope their world wasn’t already destroyed. Maybe there was still a chance we could bring them back.
Before I could continue on, that damning sound pierced my ears again. Pointless as it was, I checked to see one of the gems marked with an X gone. I needed to hurry.
About the time I started to wonder how I was supposed to know when the sun rose or set, a familiar voice chimed in. “Wow, maybe white pants weren’t the best choice, huh?”
My steps ground to a halt, allowing the mud to steadily digest more of my feet as I turned to see Tochiro sitting on some low-hanging vines like a hammock. He wasn’t my Tochiro, but in the dark, I couldn’t spot a single difference.
“Yes,” I answered, knowing my pants were ruined. “But I don’t usually wander around in the wilderness for hours on end, and I didn’t really plan on this expedition, so the pants tend to work out fine.”
The brim of his hat bounced with his nodding. “So where are you headed?”
“I was looking for others.”
“You aiming to win?” He didn’t look too concerned with the idea. His staff lay across his lap, and I was certain I could have drawn faster than he could pull the hidden blade - another thing he had in common with my Tochiro.
“No, I want to have everyone regroup,” I said. “I’m working with some of the other men who look like me.”
He cracked a smile. “Well, they are you.”
“Not exactly,” I said with a shrug. “We’re all different in some way. I haven’t lost my right eye for one thing.”
His smile widened to a grin. “Yet.”
Judging by all the older versions of me, losing my eye was part of some odd destiny in my life, but then again, we were all on different paths. I couldn’t help but feel my chest burn with rebellion at the idea that I could break some part of my destiny and keep my eye. Still, the eyepatch did look cool.
“Regardless, would you be willing to come with me?” I asked. “I’m going to search for a while longer, and then we’ll return to the lake in the forest area with everyone we’ve found.”
Tochiro looked down at the mud, frowning. “I’d prefer not to die drowning in mud,” he said.
I couldn’t blame him for that. Yanking my boots free once again, I walked over to him. “I’ll carry you,” I said.
“Oof, my pride,” he said with a laugh.
I knelt in front of him to offer him my back. This wasn’t the first time I’d had to carry him. At least, I’d carried my Tochiro. The cowboy version of me may have done the same. “I’ll let you down once it dries,” I said. “Come on. I need an extra pair of eyes.”
“I won’t be much help there, but alright.” He climbed onto my back with a quiet grumble of, “Don’t tell Harlock about this, alright? Not you, the other Harlock. I mean- Franklin.”
“Franklin?” I asked as I righted myself. “That’s my middle name.”
“Oh? Franklin’s his first name. Weird demon thing did say y’all were different people though.” The brim of his hat would have kept the rain off my head if not for the holes. As things were, the brim tapped against the top of my head with each step.
“We’re certainly from different times,” I said, “but it’s probably best not to get into that. I don’t want to confuse you.”
“Please,” he snorted. “I’m so confused already. Not much you could do to make it worse. Ya’know we’re kind of vulnerable like this. If one of us gets shot, we both do.”
“I’m hoping to avoid conflict,” I said as I ducked away from some low-hanging brambles. “It’s for the best if I look less threatening.”
“Unless someone wants to pick us off.”
“I’m hoping everyone can be reasoned with.”
He said nothing in response. I had a feeling he was thinking about all the shattered gems around his wrist just as I was. Maybe those who were killing were just doing it out of fear like A said. Maybe they could be talked down.
But I would use my saber if necessary. I would not let myself die at their hands.
“Do you hear that?” Tochiro asked as the rain began to let up. “I think I hear someone.”
I halted my steps and inclined my head to hear better. Somewhere ahead of us, someone was yelling. They were too far and too faint to make out, but where there was yelling, there may have been a flight.
Tochiro yelped as I broke into a run, admittedly difficult while carrying him. To keep the wind or branches from ripping away his hat, he pulled the brim down and held it. The trees and mud made navigation difficult. I struggled not to lose my footing as everything tried to rip it out from under me.
As we neared the source of the noise, I was able to make out some of what was being said.
“I’m telling you, I didn’t kill anyone!”
“You wouldn’t run if you weren’t guilty!”
“I ran because that guy was trying to kill me! You won’t gain anything from this!”
“Put your gun down!”
“Not unless you do!”
Tochiro whined like a nervous dog. “I think it’s the kids,” he said.
I wasn’t sure if I needed to yell. It could startle them out of their standoff, but it could just as easily startle them into firing. But with their voices trilling, I could sense the tension would end with a snap at any moment. My body responded for me.
“Wait!” I screamed.
Too late.
The first blast was the distinct sound of a cosmo dragoon, a flurry of power that sucked the wind from the air. Another shot responded from a standard blaster. One of the gems burst with a gentle chime.
“No!” Tochiro cried as my heart seemed to rip from my chest. I was so close. So damn close.
I couldn’t chance anything, so I dropped Tochiro to pull my saber. “Hang on!” he yelled at my back as I rushed ahead to a clearing.
They were both there, one on his knees with his hand across his face. “No, no, no,” he whispered to himself endlessly. A shot had eaten through his right shoulder.
Across from him lay the other boy. Frays of his hair had fallen across his still face, but I knew him. Blond - he was A’s kid. He’d taken a direct hit through the chest, but he must have seen his death coming. He’d fallen with his hand clutched over the wound.
Tochiro appeared behind me, whispering, “Damn, poor kid.”
The other one didn’t seem to be a threat, so i walked over to the kid’s body. He had the cosmo dragoon, fallen at his side. He’d fired first, damn stupid kid. I closed his unseeing eyes and wiped the mud from his cheek. Poor kid had mud up past his knees. Must have been a struggle for him to get through the jungle.
Looking back at the other guy, I found him staring at me, his eyes hollow. “I’m sorry,” he said. “I didn’t mean to… I tried to…”
He looked close to my age. If I remembered right, he’d been the one with the tall version of me. I couldn’t find much sympathy in myself for him.
“We’re all grouping back up at the lake,” I said. He didn’t flinch as I stood and strode toward him. As much as I wanted to leave then and get away from the body, the wound in his shoulder needed attention. Oddly, there had clearly been another blast that hit a tree not far from the guy. I’d definitely only heard two shots.
Taking my saber, I cut the tail from my jacket. “We’ll wrap your shoulder and then go,” I said before biting the corner of the fabric and slicing off what had become soaked in mud. I tossed that aside.
The guy kept rambling. “He thought I killed those people back at the forest, but I didn’t kill anyone. I…”
He must have wanted something from me, some comfort perhaps. I had none for him. “Tell me what happened,” I said as I ripped the fabric to pieces for his shoulder. The blood had soaked down his arm, helped along by the rain. He wouldn’t die, but the damage looked ugly. The arm hung limp at his side.
“I-I was in the forest,” he began, his eye locked on the ground, likely to avoid looking at the boy. “There was a blast, an explosion. It sounded bad, so I went to check. The blast site was horrible. The trees were all warped. There were a couple kids there, but only one of them had any scratches. God, he looked terrible. His back was all ripped up, but I think he was shot in the head. There may have been a shot through his temple. I don’t know. I tried not to look. The other one was shot in the stomach. I checked to see if he was still alive, but he was gone.
“There was another guy- one of you. God, I thought he was dead. He was covered in blood. He had a hole in his gut. Both him and the second kid had guns near them. I don’t know who shot who. I don’t know…”
He heaved a sigh as I knelt beside him to wrap his shoulder. I should have urged him to continue or stayed quiet. Tochiro ambled over to sit beside him, opposite me. I don’t know who it was for, but there was pity in Tochiro’s eyes.
“Who were they?” I asked against my better judgement.
The man winced as though I’d slapped him. “The other Harlock was the one in blue. The boy I checked on had a reddish-brown jacket and dirty blond hair.” I could remember the other version of me, but the boy was difficult to recall. “The other boy… He had a green vest and reddish hair.”
He sucked in a breath as I pulled the bandage tight enough to cut off blood flow. As soon as I realized what I’d done, I gave some slack.
Nazca had been killed. Nazca had died in pain. Someone had hurt him.
“I-I’m sorry,” the man attempted. “Was he-?”
“Continue,” I spat. It didn’t matter if he was lying. It didn’t matter if he’d been the one to kill Nazca. It didn’t matter because we had to stick together. We couldn’t be part of the game. It didn’t matter. It didn’t matter.
The guy swallowed his nerves before returning to his story, his voice shaking more than before. “The other Harlock was still alive somehow, just barely. He had something over his eyes, so he couldn’t see… Actually, his face looked pretty scratched up. The explosion may have hurt his eyes. I’m not sure, but he heard me, I guess. Called me over.”
The guy took a deep, shuddering breath. “He asked me to finish him off. He must have been in a lot of pain, and his wounds would have killed him sooner or later. He was in such bad shape. There was no saving him, so I did as he asked. Shot him point blank in the head. If I’d thought there was any other way, I wouldn’t have, but...” He shook the thought away, his eyes clenched shut.
“Then I heard someone yelling. Called me a bastard. Started shooting at me. It was another Harlock, I think. He must have thought I’d killed them. I was able to dodge most of his shots because of the trees, but he got me in the shoulder.”
That explained the extra shot to the tree nearby. The kid hadn’t been the one to hit him.
“I was able to get away, made it all the way here, but then that kid ran across me. He was suspicious because of all the deaths.” He nodded toward the wristband on his limp arm. “Pulled his gun on me. I tried to explain, but that made him more suspicious. He was really freaked. Mentioned something about finding a corpse already.” His left hand returned to cover his face. “Things got so heated. I didn’t want to shoot him. I shouldn’t have… God, he was so young. I’ve never killed a kid. I would never...”
I finished tying off the bandages and released the tension that had been building in my jaw. “There’s still a chance we can bring everyone back,” I said to myself as much as him. He didn’t complain when I grabbed him by the arm and yanked him to his feet. “Come on. It’s probably about time to go back.”
“If we’re going back to the forest and that other Harlock sees me, he might try to kill me again,” he said.
“I’ll try to reason with him.”
“Maybe I should be the one to do that,” Tochiro piped in. “And you don’t have to drag the guy back, Harlock.” I hadn’t realized I’d maintained my crushing grip on his arm. I let my hand relax and fall back to my side. Reaching up, Tochiro patted the man’s uninjured arm. “Hey, you never said your name.”
“I’m Yama.”
Tochiro offered a shadow of his usual smile. “Nice to meet you, Yama. My name’s Tochiro Oyama. That’s Harlock, but not Franklin Harlock.”
Confusion broke through Yama’s daze. “Yes, I know Harlock,” he said. “Have either of you seen my captain? He’s tall and has gold armor plating.”
I had a hard time believing Yama was a pirate. He was too weak, too uncontrolled. I never would have let him be part of my crew, but then again, I’d let Nazca join. That kid was always a short circuit away from a blown fuse. Uncontrollable, but certainly not weak. I had to fight back the rage swelling up inside me at the idea that someone hurt and killed a member of my crew. It was a captain’s job to protect his crew, and Nazca was far too young to die.
“I haven’t seen him,” I said as I tried to fight back the anger curling my hand into a fist.
Tochiro shook his head. “Haven’t really seen anyone. Too hard to see around here. The forest sounds nicer, especially if there’s a lake. I’d like to get some of this mud off my feet, and we ought to clean your wound. Also, are either of you hungry? I’m not, haven’t been this whole time. It’s so weird because I was starving back home.”
He went on like that, trying to diffuse the situation. As we headed back toward the forest, I caught one last glance of the dead boy. He shouldn’t have taken that shot, but he was just a kid, a scared kid. He had no place here. Nazca was the same, not the type for bloodshed, no matter how much he tried to pretend otherwise. If I won, I could get him back.
No, I couldn’t think like that. It was what that thing wanted from us. There was still a chance we could best it. If it sent us all back, Nazca would be there. Surely…
But if it came down to war, I would not go out easily. I would fight to survive.
If I was honest with myself, I couldn’t fault Yama for shooting back when shot at. I would have done the same.

Title: Partner
Prompt: Stuck With You
.
He might have become interested in her without noticing.
She was different, of course, she had pink hair and big and lively green eyes. But she was petite, and she carried herself a little behind the usual group. That’s not how he noticed her.
He noticed her when he bumped into her after running back home from his training with his older brother. Somewhere during his trip back home, a group of loud girls had spotted him and decided to chase after him. He was not pleased at all with the idea of dealing with a bunch of loud girls.
But turning around the corner, he seemed to be unable to avoid clashing with one.
Not loud intentionally, but loud because she didn’t expect to bump into someone either.
Shushing her by moving his hand towards her mouth on reflex, he pulled the girl away from view and waited for the footsteps of the group to fade.
Not noticing the way those big and lively eyes stared in awe at the cute boy holding her hostage.
She clutched her hands tight towards her chest as she felt her heart quicken its beats. She had never seen the young Uchiha so close before, and he hadn’t even glanced back at her that much.
But then he did, and her air caught up. He stared a few seconds, she seemed to start to heat up and he wondered if she would be alright after removing his small hand from her face.
She simply blinked, he simply raised one of his eyebrows.
“Sorry” he said shortly, quickly avoiding her curious eyes and directing his own towards the floor, he had heard something falling when they clashed.
Sakura was slowly brought back to present when she heard him speak. Her eyes following the boy as he picked up what had fallen from her arms.
“Is this your book?” he heard him ask, and she gasped as she took the item from his hand.
“Yes, thank you Sasuke-kun” she spoke at last, although letting him know she knew his name before even introducing himself, which made him realize he didn’t know hers.
“Um, what was your name?” smart, Sasuke, he thought. That would made her think he had known of her instead of being the only one who does not know his classmates’ names.
“Sakura, Sakura Haruno” she had calmed down her heartbeats but the blush was now threatening to reveal how embarrassed she was of speaking with him. She was feeling self-conscious since a while now, but the boy in front of her had suddenly had something attracting his attention as a new presence neared them.
“I see, so, Sakura, please come with me” Sakura’s eyes widened once more as she felt herself being mangled around by the boy.
Soon after she noticed too, footsteps and giggles echoing in the narrow passageway both Sasuke and her exited through the other side. She supposed Sasuke-kun surely disliked attention but she also couldn’t help but feel a little giddy inside seeing as she was the one stuck with him by choice.
Because, he could have just left her there, couldn’t he?
Glancing at the boy leading their way, she noticed his focused gaze as he continued to hold her small wrist.
She averted her eyes to avoid dwelling into it and becoming red faced. In the process, noticing the small path she used to follow towards the small lake. A small corner in which she used to read peacefully. Without really intending to do so, she stopped and made Sasuke be pulled back.
“Wha—”
“Here, they never come here” she said as she took the role now and lead him towards the grown path of grass, greenery reaching to the height of their small chests, shadowed by really bushy and green trees surrounding the area.
Sasuke was skeptical, since what he really wished was a way to return back home, but he figured he still had time before his curfew and those girls would surely find something else to entertain themselves in short time.
He let himself be guided by Sakura, somehow curious about this secret passage and the way this girl seemed to know her way around the area. She blended so naturally between the greenery and bright natural colors, her hair glowing and flowing with the natural light and air of the summer day.
He was still the one holding onto her, she simply led the way seemingly unaffected by his touch and he suddenly felt self-conscious. Why was he holding on to a girl?
He couldn’t dwell much into that detail because the second right after he heard her telling him they had arrived.
Looking up he saw the small cave a few steps afar from them, beneath a really old tree leaning towards the luminous lake. He let go of her and she run towards her hideaway. Book in hand, she left a trace of her small feet on the soft dirt ground. Completely out of sight of everything up hill, she smiled back at him when she had taken a seat under the small gap the cave allowed for a tiny person like her, and maybe also him.
Compared to his first impression, she was now glowing; surrounded by this soothing and natural atmosphere, she was even flipping the pages of her book now at ease. He blinked a few times, taking in the surroundings because one can’t simply be too cautious. But, after noticing they were really down hill and at a blind sight from up, he approached once more.
Sakura seemed to be expectant of his thoughts about her secret spot, so she was staring at him with an excited smile. He decided to ignore her bright eyes and instead distract himself from the uncalled heat that had started to burn in his ears by looking at the book she was flipping through.
“What is your book about?”
“It’s a story book. My dad brought it from one of his trips to Iron” she took the bait and instead continued to excitedly tell him all about the book that held so much history about the Iron country. She also told him about how his father liked to collect different storybooks for her, all from different places and she enjoyed adventure stories the most. How the hero saved the citizens, how he battled many enemies, his special techniques, and some jutsus were even thought through the book. That particular point picked the boy’s interest.
“That is really cool, have you learned it?”
“Oh” Sasuke watched how Sakura’s radiant light gradually faded “well I don’t have anyone to practice it with, my friends don’t seem that interested in books and the likes”.
“Why not?” this time Sasuke burrowed his brow, he could never understand girls. So far, Sakura seemed much different from the rest. Sure, she was petite and seemed just as fragile; but she was also curious and brilliant. And he kind of liked it, she was easy to be with, interesting even.
“Well, they like making themselves look prettier and cooler”.
“What is so cool about fixing hair and giggling all the time? I think you are cooler” before he could help himself, he spoke his mind. He was a little absent recalling the times his brother came home from a mission and told him about his adventures. He enjoyed that, and he was glad he had found someone that enjoyed and admired the same things like him.
The wind blew letting the trees make a fresh lullaby as it caressed their blushing faces, having realized the secret thoughts that had been shared without noticing.
In the peaceful hideaway of summer memories, both of them had found a partner who would have their backs.
“I think you are cool too, Sasuke-kun”.

Letters
Sakura,
While I know this is not the best way to say goodbye I can’t think of how else to tell you Let’s just say that I was never one to be good with words Leaving wasn’t an easy decision to make
You also were never an easy decision to begin with Only you were ever able to make me stop and question myself Undeniably, that was the most annoying thing about you
Maybe that’s why I tried to push you away Away from you, away from friends, and away from Konoha Revenge was the only thing on my mind at the time Right now though... there’s something else on my mind You seem to come into my thoughts a lot these days...
Missing you will be the hardest thing ever Especially since that someone is you
-Sasuke
Sakura stares at the note for the tenth time that night as she tries to let everything that happened today sink into her memory. Sasuke had just left hours ago and now she was sitting in her bedroom and rereading a note that he had somehow left in her room the night before when she was away at the hospital.
Her concentration breaks away though when she is alerted to a sound outside her window. Quickly, she jumps up as she draws a kunai by instinct. The kunai drops to the floor with a thud.
“Sasuke-kun!” she gasps. Sure enough, there he was, standing there before her on the balcony outside her window. “Didn’t you just leave?”
“I did... but I needed to know your answer so I came back. I thought I could be patient but I’m not..”
“My answer...” her voice trails off as she looks back down at the note in her hand. She traces her finger over the letters of the note, pausing ever so slightly over the beginning of every sentence. “How about I write it down for you,” she whisper softly.
Sasuke-kun...
You’re an idiot to think that there is anyone other than you Even if you run to the ends of the earth So help me God, I will run after you
-Sakura
Sasuke stares at the reply letter as if trying to process every word and letter or perhaps engraining it to his memory. Finally, he breaks the silence. “Even if I’m leaving?”
“My answer remains the same.”
“And you won’t know when I might be back?”
“My answer still remains the same.”
“I... feel like I should have something for you.” He looks around his bag as if searching for something. “I should have came prepared with something...” he mumbles.
Sakura grabs his hand to stop him. He glances up. With a smile, Sakura leans forward and gives him a sweet peck on the lips. “Let’s just seal it with this kiss.”
His face blushes in shock.
“I-I have to go...” Sasuke says. A look of sorrow crosses his features as he holds Sakura’s hand in his with a wistful remorse.
“I know,” Sakura responds in understanding. She watches as Sasuke slowly lets go of her hand and turns his back towards her.
“Sasuke-kun,” she calls out to him as he takes one step out away from her. He turns around at the sound of his name.
Sakura smiles. “You have to go and I have to stay here in Konoha. But wherever you are, just remember that I’ll always find you.”
“You always do.”

Let Me Love You
She pulled out her phone and saw that Reggie had texted her a meme of a raccoon looking into a garbage can with hearts over his eyes and he’d photoshopped Lily’s face onto the meme so it looked like she was in the trashcan.
Reggie: Mary made that, it wasn’t me, she’s trying to get me in trouble so you uninvite me to your birthday because she doesn’t want me around all the princesses that were invited
Lily: Tell her if she keeps calling me trash, I’ll introduce you to all the princesses as Lord Fitzwilliam of Bristol and tell them that you’re an eligible bachelor
Reggie: You know that I would never actually tell her any of that. She’d be upset with you, but she’d take it out on me and I don't know if I’d come out of it alive.
Lily: Good to see that you’re not in an overly dramatic mood this morning
Reggie: ;)
There was also a text from Mary.
Mary: Listen, I know what Reggie is going to tell you but he’s a liar and I don’t even know how to use photoshop on my phone sooo
Lily: Liessss

Departures
Summary: Sakura is a one woman army, Sasuke knows this, but that doesn’t mean Naruto has to send her to war alone.
Rating: G
Characters: Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha.
Relationships: Sasuke Uchiha/Sakura Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha&Sakura Uchiha&Sarada Uchiha.
For the Sasusaku month day 23: Departures.
(Notes: I been wanting to write something like this for a long time now! I’m glad I have the excuse now.)
Naruto didn’t promise him anything when Sasuke started his years-long mission to uncover the potential dangers their village could be facing in the future. The decision to leave was his, Naruto didn’t force him into anything and Sasuke was well aware of that.
But Sasuke did everything for Sakura and Sarada, they were his reason to keep going, his reason to live and keep on fighting. If anything happened to them, Sasuke didn’t know what he would do.
So when he’s summoned by his best friend alongside his wife for a S rank mission, he’s quite sure the mission is for him.
Turns out, he’s wrong.
“We have received a war threat from a foreign ninja village,” explains Naruto sitting at his desk in the Hokage’s office, staring at the married couple with a maturity Sasuke and Sakura still struggle to get used to. “Apparently they’re a fairly new village that doesn’t hold any relationship with allied shinobi forces.” He sighs, “they don’t seem very strong but we can’t afford to take them lightly.”
“Are we going to war, Naruto?” Asks Sakura concerned, holding onto Sasuke’s arm and biting her lips in a worried, nervous tick.
“No,” denies Naruto, “I don’t want Konoha to go through another war,” he glares at nothing with fervour. “We didn’t fight a god for our children to go through that hell like us,” he looks directly at Sasuke, “Itachi-san didn’t die for our peace to be shattered like this.”
“So what are we going to do?” Questions Sasuke, pointedly ignoring the remaining pain he feels at the memory of his brother’s death.
“We’re going to make a statement; we are going to send one of our strongest shinobi to the front lines and show them what Konoha is made off.” States the Hokage with resolution.
Sakura and Sasuke can’t hide their surprise at this, “Just one shinobi!” gawks Sakura.
“So when do I leave?” Sighs Sasuke, closing his eyes in resignation. He’s just came back to his family a few days ago without any intentions of leaving them again, and now he’s going to war.
“You’re not.” Naruto stands up and turns his back on them to stare at the growing village from his window. “This village is not really well known, but they’re quickly making a reputation for themselves by not having any Kunoichi in their lines. Apparently, they don’t believe in women fighting.” He explains, finally facing them. “So we’re making a point by sending them our strongest Kunoichi to fight against.”
Sasuke is well aware that his wife is the strongest woman he knows, she’s just like them, a Neo-Sannin, trained to the point of facing the gods of their world and punching a goddess, point blank on her head. A few misogynistic soldiers from a no-name ninja village are not going to stand a chance against her.
But he hates the idea of her being in any sort of danger.
“Sakura-chan is a powerhouse,” gushes Naruto when he notices the worried expression on both of his best friend’s faces. “She has the stamina to fight from days and she’s not going to be defeated by some idiots threatening our village.” He assures them, “I trust Sakura-chan,” he smiles like the sun even after so many years, “Do you?”
Naruto stares at them both and then just at Sasuke, challenging him to say something, anything against his blind trust for his best girl. The Uchiha in return, glares at his rival with the same defiance he used to always direct at Naruto in their genin days.
“Don’t underestimate my wife, idiot.” He huffs irritated, while cradling Sakura against his side by sneaking a firm hand on her waist, “she’s the strongest Kunoichi in Konoha, don’t dare to assume anything less than that.”
Sakura blushes prettily at her husband’s words, and leans on his hold, resting her hands on his shoulder to gaze into his eyes “Sasuke-kun…” she sighs moved by his worlds.
“I wasn’t the one who was doubting her just now!” Cries Naruto indignant, but as always, Sasuke and Sakura ignore him in favour of losing themselves into their little world.
It had always been like that, back then when they were kids and his best friends gravitated into each other’s without any words needed. “Oh forget it!” He huffs, “just tell me if your going to take the mission, Sakura-chan.”
“Of course I will.” Accepts Sakura with resolve “You can count on me!”
They smile like the old days as Sakura accepts the paperwork of the official mission, Sasuke clings to his wife the whole way back to their home, he was telling the truth when affirmed his trust for Sakura’s abilities, but he can’t help his need to hold his lover close before she has to leave.
They try to explain things to Sarada in the most mature of ways later when the whole family is eating dinner. Sakura and Sasuke side by side in the dinner table with their daughter on front of them.
“But people die at war, mama!” Complains Sarada with little tears leaking at the edges of her dark eyes.
“Your mama is strong, Sarada,” Sasuke reminds his daughter, holding her hand from across the dining table, “she’s going to come back to us before you realise.”
“Why can’t you go with her, papa?” She asks anxiously, “I can stay with Iruka-sensei or aunt Ino,”
“Because we want to make a statement to this village,” Explains Sakura calmly, “besides… Don’t you want to spend some time with your papa? You can use this time alone to bond without your mama around.”
“I want to spend time with mama and papa!” Pouts the Uchiha heiress. The vivid resemblance of her father.
“I’m sorry, honey,” apologises her mother, “I’ll come back in a few days, you just have to take care of your papa for me,” she smiles kissing Sasuke’s cheek from where she’s sitting at his side, Sasuke in turn nuzzles his nose across her hair and smiles contently.
Sarada can’t help but smile at scene, forever happy to see her parents being affectionate with each other.
Sakura departs the next day; she carries nothing but a backpack in her shoulder at the gates of Konoha, waiting for her daughter to detach herself from where she’s clinging to her waist and for her husband to remove his hand from her shoulder.
“Don’t have mercy,” Advises Sasuke, placing a stray lock of pink hair from her face behind her ear, “don’t play games with them, break their spirits don’t leave anyone standing.”
“I know, dear,” she smiles placidly, “take care of each other, please.” Requests Sakura holding Sarada by her shoulders and giving her to Sasuke, she puts their daughter in the middle of their joint bodies and rises her face to stare hopefully at her husband.
Sasuke stares at her for a whole minute before poking her forehead with two fingers, “Kick their asses, wife.” He says before leading her daughter away from Sakura.
The Uchiha matriarch, pouts but smiles immediately after, walking past the gates of Konoha with sure steps, the Uchiha fan stamped in the back of her battle outfit.
