I can't remember exactly what chapter but early on when Persephone went to talk to Hades during the "one day of the year the citizens get to see their king and file complaints" and side lines it (and the citizens time) to talk about Tori and Alex and his missing eye and they eat lunch... didn't Hades just conjure food instead of making them lunch or am I misremembering?

so this ask sent me on a bit of a ride because i went to go find the scene you were talking about, i knew exactly where it was but i had actually completely FORGOTTEN about the whole lunch bit that came with it

and oh, my fucking god-

MAN'S IS EATING AN ENTIRE STEAK ALL TO HIMSELF. AND HE GIVES HER JUST A COUPLE PASTRIES ???

and yes, he does basically magic it out of nowhere because he casts an 'illusion' to change her outfit and they're basically in a secret room right now. So he definitely didn't prepare this by hand or ahead of time (unless he lied about the whole 'illusion' thing and he really did knock her out and change her clothes against her will, oh god no-) And yet despite this being the "woman of his dreams", he STILL feeds her like a squirrel.

This is more proof as to why Persephone was never plus-sized rep and is written purely through the male gaze. For some reason Rachel is DEAD SET AGAINST feeding this poor girl or letting her chew food onscreen, and that's just the BARE MINIMUM of like, healthy fucking behavior.

Seriously, stop reading this post RIGHT NOW and ask yourself, "When has Persephone actually eaten a meal onscreen?"

The CLOSEST we've ever gotten to her eating a meal was that time she ordered takeout (fucking Chinese takeout???) and we never actually see her eating it. She's stirring it around in one panel and then by the end of the conversation, the food is gone.

Even in scenes where you'd think she'd be eating, like in the scene where she stays at Hera's for dinner, they come up with some random excuse as to why she can't have a full meal.

(I just noticed writing this up btw that they're all eating the same thing she is so why are they so apologetic as if they're all feasting on meat and she's just eating lettuce and cheese??? But it looks like all they're eating is greens and toast, what the fuck is happening-)

It's astounding to me at all that a Greek family wouldn't have anything more in the house for a vegetarian to eat than lettuce and halloumi. Need I remind you that Greek food is Mediterranean, it is primarily vegetarian. Beans, veggies, fruit, breads, and cheeses make up much of the foundation of Greek food so why don't they have anything else in the house; and why in the world is Zeus being all judgmental over her being vegetarian when most of what he eats - AND WHAT HE'S LITERALLY GOT ON HIS PLATE RIGHT NOW - is vegetarian???

And when she DOES eat, it's always the tiniest morsels, like she's a squirrel or a delicate little baby who's never seen food before and whose teeth haven't grown in yet. She'll be holding utensils, she'll have a plate in front of her, but will she eat the food? Will there even be food on the plate?

Anything we see her legitimately consume is juice. Happy little baby needs her juice, her sippy sip.

This is honestly so indicative of how Americanized LO is. From the lack of actual Greek food to vegetarianism being treated like an inferior diet to the main female character not being allowed to even CHEW food onscreen let alone eat, like... what year is it ??? Being a vegetarian isn't a radical idea anymore, and for fuck's sakes, Greek food is readily available even in North America so it shouldn't be this hard to get right! Can we please throw out this 1950's misogyny bullshit of the man stuffing his face with steak while the woman eats nothing but grapefruit skins, hard boiled eggs, and wine??

As I mentioned before, I'll be doing these in smaller chunks because Tumblr keeps crashing when I do longer posts. In this edition, we'll look at Sussex PR from May 2017 to June 2017.

A quick note first. There isn't as many pieces from Meghan's mouthpieces during this window as there were earlier in the year. I suspect either a) Harry caught on to how much Meghan talked to the press so she scaled back to keep working him or b) the articles were handled when Meghan's team was scrubbing the internet.

This is also when we start seeing the Daily Mail start dripping hints about Meghan's dossier.

5/2/2017: Meghan gives an interview to Good Housekeeping. This is the first known "roast chicken" reference.

5/3/2017: Meghan teases that Harry uses caviar pills to cure his male pattern baldness. "He" credits Meghan's holistic wellness.

5/4/2017: Buckingham Palace announces that Prince Philip is retiring after the summer and will stand down from royal duties. Anna Wintour is made a Dame by The Queen.

5/6/2017: The BBC claims that Harry's father is actually James Hewitt.

5/6/2017 - 5/7/2017: Audi Polo Challenge 2017 at Coworth Park. Meghan attends to watch Harry play polo and she is photographed with Mark Dyer. On Day 1 (May 6th), paparazzi catch Harry and Meghan kissing in the car park. On Day 2 (May 7th), William also plays polo and allegedly has Meghan thrown out of Coworth Park for stalking. Also on May 7th, Meghan leaks that she will be attending Pippa's wedding.

5/8/2017: Meghan wears a wedding dress for a movie.

5/9/2017: It's revealed that Meghan ditched Serena William's baby shower to go to London to see Harry.

5/10/2017: Mark Dyer sells his pubs to move out of London. The article is the first confirmation that he/his pubs had hosted Harry and Meghan for dates in the early days of their relationship. Speculation begins that Dyer doesn't like Meghan at all.

5/12/2017: Risque photos from a production Meghan did in 2011 resurface.

5/16/2017: Meghan flies into London for Pippa's wedding, although it isn't reported until May 17th and it isn't confirmed until May 18th.

5/18/2017: Meghan confirms she is in London to attend Pippa's wedding.

5/19/2017: Meghan does a pap walk in leggings and shows off her bum. The photos lead to the headline "Wedding of the Rears" and a front page photo by The Sun. Eugenie gives a tone-deaf interview about her "career" and mentions that she loves "The Crown."

5/20/2017: Pippa's Wedding. Meghan is not invited to the ceremony but is allowed at the after-party. Harry leaves the wedding midday to drive 3 hours round-trip to pick Meghan up from Nottingham Cottage. Rumors begin that Meghan wasn't allowed at all to Pippa's wedding, making Meghan angry, so to keep the peace, Harry left the wedding early and picked Meghan up so they could drive past local press to pretend they were going to the wedding.

5/21/2017: Meghan is papped leaving Kensington Palace early in the morning to fly back to Toronto.

5/22/2017:

Meghan gives an interview to Glamour UK about her fashion sense and style. She gives an infamous quote about how she likes to wear monochromatic neutrals (which later bites her in the butt when she says the royals made her wear only neutrals).

The Daily Mail reveals that Meghan's legal first name is actually Rachel.

Risque photos from Meghan's 2013 film resurface.

Meghan claims she was given rooms at the hotel where Pippa's wedding breakfast was being held and that she stayed away from the service out of respect to the bride. This completely contradicts her earlier story that she had stayed at Kensington Palace and that Harry left the wedding early to collect her for the after-party.

5/24/2017:

Priyanka Chopra gives an interview in which she speaks about Meghan and hints that she and Harry are engaged, saying she hopes for an invite to the wedding.

Meghan leaks that Harry plans to take her to Lesotho.

Sentebale's financial report is published.

5/28/2017: Meghan teases that she and Harry are house-hunting in Norfolk to be near William, Kate, and the children.

5/29/2017: William's GQ issue is published, in which he gives an intervew speaking about Diana's death and new photographs of the Cambridge family (in black and white!) are released.

5/31/2017: Camilla Thurlow (of Love Island) gives an interview about having dated Harry back in 2014 when they were photographed at a nightclub together.

6/4/2017: Harry travels to Singapore for four days to play polo in a fundraiser for Sentebale. He also does AIDS awareness work. The polo game is where he meets and befriends Nacho Figueroa.

6/7/2017: Harry travels to Sydney to promote the 2018 Invictus Games, merching his Meghan bracelet. Also, Pippa and James Matthews are in Perth for their honeymoon at the same time.

6/8/2017: Andrew applies to the UK Intellectual Property Office to trademark his Pitch@Palace initiative.

6/9/2017: Meghan is just like Queen Letizia!

6/10/2017: Meghan the yoga influencer. Meghan gives an airport papwalk in Texas ahead of the ATX Festival, merching her Panama hat, The Economist, and Chanel. Patrick Adams gives an interview to ATX about Meghan's relationship and speculates Harry ought to make a cameo on Suits.

6/11/2017: US Weekly speculates that Harry and Meghan could be getting married soon.

6/14/2017: The Sun recaps Harry's past relationships. They also reveal that Meghan had been invited to the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando. The Sun claims that Meghan accepted the invitation and attended the games, but she and Harry didn't meet.

(June 14, 2017, is also the Grenfell Tower fire.)

6/16/2017: The Daily Express speculate on what Harry and Meghan's children could like.

6/17/2017:

The royal family celebrates The Queen's Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour. (Kate and Charlotte wear pink.)

Meghan merches a gold and diamond thumb ring that she claims is from Harry. She also claims that Harry gave her a Cartier Love Bracelet (which we know now is actually from Trevor).

E News reports that Harry flies to Toronto after Trooping festivities to visit Meghan. E News also claims that Harry will propose by the end of the year and that Meghan is preparing to move to London. They later update the article to say Harry's camp denied that he went to Toronto and instead went directly to Malawi/Africa.

6/20/2017:

William and Kate make their first Royal Ascot appearance.

Meghan puts Beatrice and Eugenie on notice that she knows they're trying to take her down.

Rumors of Meghan's attitude/behavior causing problems on the Suits set begin. She brushes it off in an interview saying the cast is upset she keeps ditching them to spend time with Harry and that it'll blow over when she introduces Harry to them.

According to unverified claims by E News, Harry leaves Toronto and flies to Malawi for conservation charity work.

She also says that Harry wants to marry sooner rather than later while Philip is still around to attend. (This comes after news that Philip was hospitalized for an infection and immediately causes speculation that Philip is seriously unwell/knocking at death's door.)

6/26/2017: E News claims that Harry's discussion about modernizing the monarchy and his role in the modernized monarchy is him preparing for marriage. This immediately causes speculation amongst royal watchers that he and Meghan had fought about the monarchy's way of charitywork (versus her issues-based campaigning) and Harry's sudden discussions about how the monarchy was modernizing was his attempts to fix it.

Also on 6/26/2017, the Court Circular confirms Harry is in Malawai. It is his only Court Circular appearance between 6/17/2017 (Trooping) and 7/6/2017.

6/27/2017: Meghan flies to London. Harry merches Sandals' Grande St. Lucian resort in a promo article. He stayed at the resort during his Caribbean tour in November 2016.

6/28/2017: Meghan merches her clothes and Channel 4 announces a "Meet the Markles" reality show/docuseries about Meghan's family.

6/29/2017: Meghan merches her clothes again and again tries to be a fashion influencer by plugging the "Meghan Effect." The trailer for Suits Season 7 drops and Charles and Camilla travel to Canada for a 3-day tour.

Chapter Thirty-nine

Sophie and Keefe met in the children's hospital when they were little. Because of how long they were confined to the four walls of the hospital, they became very close during their stay.

As the years pass, they wind up being in the same classroom together due to their physical conditions. This makes their bond deepen.

But are they able to handle when life gets tough, throwing problems and complications their way?

The hair stylist was getting finished curling Sophie's hair. She had T minus forty-five minutes before having to get in place for the ceremony.

Having to get makeup done made her twitchy. Thankfully, she was able to choose a more natural look. It made things fo by quicker.

By the time all of that was done, it was her turn to head down the aisle. She hooked her arm with Keefe, and they walked to the end of the aisle, seperating to stand on opposite ends of the alter.

Soon, Ro and Cassius were making their way down to the altar. Ro's lips were spread into a tight smile. Cassius just had his nose upturned, looking as snobby as ever. When they had to go their separate ways, he placed a kiss on her cheek and went to sit down.

Sophie tried to stay serious, but it was quite difficult. She wondered how many guests there knew the truth about their marriage.

It went perfectly fine until the vows. Just behind Bo, Sophie was able to see Keefe snickering. She shot him a look. But when Ro and Bo went to kiss, he looked like he was about to bust a blood vessel. He was biting his lip so hard Sophie could've sworn she saw blood.

Sophie made a cut it out sign at him. When people started cheering, he let it out, doubling over. Everyone's celebrations drowned out the sound of his laughter.

Sophie could see him crying as he tried to pull himself together with the crowd quieting. Still, he was shaking with the held in mirth.

At the reception, she sat with Keefe at the table with his parents. Ro and Bo were sitting at the table beside them.

Different people were going up to volunteer for speeches. Eventually, when the last person did their speech, one last call was made.

When Keefe got up everyone at the two tables, Sophie included, groaned. It was not going to end well. He snickered as he took the microphone.

Ro leaned into Sophie's ear. "I swear, if that little twerp does anything to embarrass me-"

She was cut off by Keefe speaking. "My dear sister and new brother-in-law law. I wish you two a very happy marriage." His smirk was downright gleeful. "I hope I will get many, many, many nieces and nephews in the future. I know that your love runs deep and will never run dry."

"I'm gonna kill him," Ro decided.

Once Keefe finished his speech, he came back to sit at the table. Ro turned to him.

"I am going to strangle you!"

He batted his lashes. "What do you mean? I'm just congratulating you and your new hubby."

"Don't you ever repeat that sentence again."

Bo finally joined in the conversation. "How do you put up with him? And does that mean I have to now as well?"

Ro pinched the bridge of her nose. "I just do. And we're bonded by law now, pal! You have to suffer just as much as I do!"

"Awww," Keefe cooed. "Marrital bonding! How sweet."

"Don't be surprised if you don't wake up tomorrow." She turned to Sophie. "How do you date him."

Sophie shrugged. "He's sweet."

"And annoying."

"Oh, he's definitely that. It's about 50/50."

Keefe feigned hurt. "You wound me, Foster."

"That's nice," she said.

Bo snorted. "I like this girl."

After a little while longer, Ro and Bo went to cut the cake. Sophie and Keefe carried out their own conversations. Sophie noticed that he was doodling away on a napkin with a pen. It was of the archway during the ceremony with tons of flowers and vines on it.

"That's really good!" She told him.

He shrugged. "It's just a sketch."

'Just a sketch' was an understatement. It was highly detailed and very impressive. Still, his father sneered at him.

"What did I tell you about those stupid drawings?" He scoffed.

Keefe wilted in his father's gaze. "Sorry," he mumbled.

He crumpled up the napkin, stuffing it in his pocket. Sophie opened her mouth to say something, but Keefe shook his head. "It's fine, Foster. It's not a big deal."

Although it did look like it was a bit deal. He had gone quiet and slouched into himself.

He cringed when Cassius went off on him. "Seriously, Keefe. Can't you just be serious for once in your life. It's not that hard! You were being an idgit during the ceremony. Don't you realize how important it is that this makes the family look good?"

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry isn't good enough! Can you not do anything right?"

"Dad," Keefe interrupted. He glanced around at people staring. "You're making a scene."

"I'm making a scene?" He asked."I'm making a scene!? You're the one acting a fool! How brainless can you be?"

"I don't know," he mumbled.

He rolled his eyes. "We're you dropped on your head as a baby or something?"

Keefe glared. "No. Probably has something more to do with the fact of how little oxygen I had. That could do some brain damage."

Cassius's glare turned to ice. "Getting mouthy with me, boy? Just you wait until we get home."

His eyes went wide, and he just nodded. Sophie saw enough. She took his hand, leading him away to a different table to sit at. He didn't say much as Ro and Bo had their first dance.

"You alright?" She murmured.

"It's fine."

Sophie leaned in and kissed his forehead. He leaned his head on her shoulder.

She wanted to get him out of his funk, so when people started to go out onto the dance floor, she drug him out.

He started getting into it when one song started to play. He smiled at her and took her hand to spin her around. Sophie laughed. She laid her head on his chest as he took her hands.

He slowly started to relax as they danced with each other. He rested his chin on her head, kissing the top of her hair.

As they swayed to the music, Keefe eventually said, "That dress looks good on you."

Sophie blushed. "Thank you." She looked up. "That suit looks good on you too."

She saw his cheeks turn pink as he shifted his gaze away. "Thanks."

Ro came up to them. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the kids who have more chemistry than me and my own husband." She chuckled, but her expression turned more serious when her eyes settled on Keefe. "We're mom and dad giving you a hard time?"

Keefe looked down and nodded.

She glanced toward their parents. Cassius was sitting in silence. Gisellewas downing what had to be her sixth glass of wine, obviously tipsy. "I'll talk to them. Don't worry about it."

"Thanks," he mumbled. Ro started to walk over to the table.

"Hey," Sophie murmured, looking into his eyes. "Just forget about it. We're supposed to be having a good time, right? Ro said she's taking care of it. Let's just have fun for now while we can, ok?"

He nodded, spinning her around in agreement, ending it off in a dip.

Keefe took in a breath, "Hey, Sophie?"

"Yes?"

"I..." He trailed off. "You know what, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Oh, ok then."

"Just..." He leaned down and kissed her. "I'm glad you're in my life."

disclaimer i've literally never touched gw2 so if there's a better fit in that game i wouldn't know it.. just gw1 for now..

Decisions are made based more on gameplay than on physical appearance but I tried to take both into account.. however as a sunflower main maybe I'm biased on some account so fellow garden warfare heads feel free to suggest better fits for them

Reading over all these I'm now realizing I kept mixing up what I think they would main vs what plant they would specifically be, which is a little confusing...

TAYLOR

A Peashooter variant feels a very obvious choice for her, since she's pretty much always on the frontlines. Its hyper ability would allow her to jump to higher up places to retain the "watching from afar with bugs" thing

I chose Law Pea more for the justice bit in its stickerbook description (where there is injustice you will find it etc etc) and less for the law bit (though she does have a code of law it's incomprehensible to anyone but herself). It felt more fitting for her because well she does try to work for what she feels is the greater good.

For dressup we're pretty limited here, both because there's not many bug themed accessories and also because I just don't have that many accessories :( I gave her the "heart and arrow + Mom" tattoo, and the visors. Fuuuck now i'm realizing i could have given her actual glasses... Wait no nevermind I'm not sure I have plain glasses. Well anyway those are her glasses.

LISA

She mains boss mode which I feel doesn't require very much explanation

For those unfamiliar: In boss mode you play as Crazy Dave (or Dr. Zomboss), generally out of the heat of the battle but still able to participate with your various abilities. It's mostly a support role, but you can still attack (cherry bomb drops), heal and revive (sunflower + revive drops), and help your team track the locations of the enemy (coconut spotting machine). You aren't invulnerable as the opposing team can shoot down your ship.

For dressup purposes she's the Shadow Flower because of the mask :3 I gave her a razor grin and some purple crystals. Adding a hat felt like too much but maybe I would have gone with the chaffeur hat.

I'm now realizing Shadow Flower would just be a good plant choice for her in general.

Sunflower life bonds are normally reserved for other sunflowers but she can have one with Taylor I think. Well ok not a true life bond because that requires the ability for mutual healing but it's more accurate this way because honestly chasing down someone across the entire map who will easily die if you aren't constantly healing them is just kind of the sunflower experience

BRIAN

Again, peashooter feels like a given, though unfortunately there's no equivalent ability for his darkness emission...

Plasma Pea because the colors are closest to black out of the peashooters. The Plasma Pea can charge up shots to increase their damage and radius of impact.

I didn't have any skull-based accessories so I just went with what felt cool and what he might use in an actual game of GW1... so basically just the intimidation factor

While we're here though if I was doing zombies he'd 100% be some sort of Foot Soldier. The Zombie Stink Cloud is 1:1 for his darkness ability. I guess since Peashooter and Foot Soldier are kind of parallels in terms of game play this works out well. (Seriously though every Peashooter main I know also mains Foot Soldier. Please I know you are good at video games just stop sniping me from across the map for 10 seconds 😭)

RACHEL

A chomper is a kind of dogy to be honest <---my logic when I was 10

Went back and forth between normal Chomper, Count Chompula, and Fire Chomper. Settled on fire chomper because I was thinking of that scene where she talks about her power burning away heartworm in her dogs, and also because orange. However I think normal Chomper would fit her just as well.

For dressup I was going more for what I envisioned her dogs looking like while reading worm. Additional chompers are there to represent her many doggies. Tentacle is there to be scary and monster esque. Metal brace jaw is there because honestly I think it looks really cool, plus I already had it equipped anyway

Originally I was going to go with Chomper because ourple, and I still think it would fit her. However Future Cactus is also ourple. And also I think Future Cactus is so cool

My reasoning was that her stealth would translate well into cacti gameplay since with cacti you mostly need to just find a really good vantage point where no one else can see you, allowing you to snipe people well. But I'm now realizing the Future Cactus is like... a lot more visible bc of its chargeup. Oh well

Originally was going with the Alien Flower because I thought its ornateness might fit him. But I don't have Alien Flower and it's more Aisha styled anyway (ourple and silly) so he gets the Power Flower.

But yeah as a sunflower I don't generally go out into the thick of things unless I have like 3 other guys with me, I mostly just stay behind at the garden and heal whoever needs it (garden ops or gardens and graveyards)

Tamako Yukihira - Taught her son that making mistakes is part of success, introduced her son to a new passion for cooking, etc. Cool Mom points for sure.

Rachel Phantomhive - Even she had asthma, she tried her best for her family while she alive. Took care of her children, disciplined them when needed, and took joy when her sister played with them when she couldn't. She was even there for sister when her husband died and tried her best to cheer her up.

Hiroko Kastuki - She's a caring and supportive Mom. AND SHE'S ALIVE! S Tier for sure. :D

Hinata's Mom - Same as Katsuki's Mom. Caring and supportive. We like supportive Mom's in this household.

Nanako Hasegawa - Top Tier Mom, supportive of her son's passions and offered advice during his feed with Reki. She even asks for advice from her late husband's photo when it comes to her son, which shows how much the two mean to her.

Kie Kamado - Took care, supported, and raised of all her children while she was alive, so that counts for something, right? S Tier.

Kotoko Fujioka - Someone Haruhi tries to model after, so that counts for something.

Mitsuko Serinuma - Supportive and caring of her daughter and son, especially with Kae's biy troubles. She even supports her otaku's shenanigans without much of a fuss from what I've seen. Of course, she got worried when she locked herself in her room, though.

Senna - Cares for her child avatar or not. Supports her even though it sometimes means letting her go perform her duties as the Avatar, no matter how dangerous.

Trisha Eldric - CARED for her family and supported them even though she was mourning her husband all the while.

Sachiko Fujinuma - Known to be caring and dedicated to her son.

A Tier:

Ursa - Look, aprt from taking care of Zuko however she could, she was also part of how he remained strong after all those years and taught him that trying even though things get tough was a strength of his. But Azula. Enough said there. Plus, if you want to include the comics, then much more of a reason may be.

Inko Midoriya - She takes care of her son and supports his decisions even though it takes convincing sometimes, say how she wanted to keep him from U.A. that one time. Buuut, as much as it pains me, she did sort of unintentionally cause some issues to form in Deku the day he was prescribed as quirkless. So A Tier instead of S Tier.

Kurumi Saiki: Now, she's personally one of my favorites; she is part of why Kusuo rarely ever uses his powers for wrong reasons. BUT, she also sometimes fails to be an actual parent to both her children who were probably barely raised, if at all because of their fastmature news compared to her and Kuniharu. Not to say she didn't try, but considering Kusuke and Kusuo's sibling hood, Kurumi get A Tier. Still like her though.

Sukuyo Mankanshoku - Now correct me if I'm wrong, you guys (I wanna finish this fast, and I've hardly watched Kill La Kill before sorry), but she seems like a sweet mom. She takes care of her childern, discipline, and even makes meals fo Ryūko as if she wer her own. But she has shown to be a bit oblivious like Kurumi when it comes to the safety of her children, so that's probably one of the only reasons she's not in S Tier.

Kyoko Honda - Reeeeally wanted to give her S Tier, but even if she helped form Torhu moral compass and all that with her wisdom, she did go into a depressive state once her husband passed away leading her into neglecting Tohru and even considering suicide. So, A Tier is the least to do here.

Mrs. Kageyama - A little overworking and doesn't know that her son is hanging with Reagen of all people in all honesty(no offense to Reagen dudes), but supportive.

Kuchel Ackerman - Worked as a prostitute sooo... She cared for Levi, she did, but if only she reached out to someone to take care of him while she was getting sicker. Not saying it was without reason, but she unintentionally did leave her child to starve if it weren't Kenny. Well, I'm not giving her B Tier, but I'm not giving her D Tier either.

B Tier:

Maho Fujiwara - I didn't find much on her and I've never watched much of Love is War, but since she's diplomat, overprotective, and Chika barely mentions her, Imma say she tried her best, but could do better. Feel free to tell me if I should move her up or not.

C Tier:

Yugi/Hanako's Mother- Now I tried to research about her but... well after her son left, well she sort of-... Well, committed sewerslide. Yikes. She only gets D Tier because she didn't treat them like nothing while she took care of them.

D Tier:

Hiromi Shiota - Projected her desires onto her son by making him present as a girl so that he could live a life she wanted. Not very caring or nurturing if you ask me. Then again, she not F Tier.

Leano - Chose her appreance over Legoshi. If you know then you know.

Isabella: Season 2 didn't do it for me, so she gets F Tier as she deserves.

I should probably do this at more regular intervals! [5.7-6.X]

Guess how I spent my sunday afternoon! I'll try and do this every, like, 3 chapters, maybe? Because fuck, there's a lot to talk about. Let me try and do it in order. Arc 5 (.7 onwards) So, the Lung rematch honestly took me by surprise. The whole arc did, really? Going from a pretty depressing but harshly real depiction of what happens to girls like Taylor, to 'Fuck it, let's fuck shit up', to Lung is back! Already! It's Arc 5! I was so sure his escape and reappearance was going to be a big thing the characters dreaded and came back to bite them at the last moment, but-- And yeesh, was 5.9 a chapter. There's a certain passage in the introductory page for Worm: "Morality isn’t black and white, Taylor and her acquaintances aren’t invincible, the heroes aren’t winning the war between right and wrong ..." Every fight has me at the edge of my seat. Last year for me's been pretty brutal for media depicting major-character-deaths like it's no big deal-- and the moment Lung came back, I was so sure someone was dead. I thought it might've been-- and after the interlude, real glad it wasn't-- Newter. But somehow, everyone managed to get off scott-free. And after the fiasco that was Arc 6-- we'll get there!-- I just don't know how long this'll last. Even for the Undersiders. Which makes me want to predict deaths. I think because of the phrasing of the opening page, I know that Taylor is the POV character as a standard, and interludes are the exception. So unless this does some huge POV-shift, I think she's safe. From death, not from anything else. I am not entertaining the thought of Lisa's death. Brian and Alec, though? I don't know. I don't know about Alec at all, actually. He's kind of a scary guy? Horrifyingly subtle power, but really scarily applied in Arc 6. He's low-key one of the strongest, at least potential wise, in The Undersiders. I think Brian is going to have more story to him, now that his past's all been laid out? But later on, I just can't say. I really hope he doesn't, he means a lot to Taylor, and he's a good shoulder to lean on. Rachel-- 'Bitch'? I can't remember if she prefers one or the other... -- is a little harder to talk about. It was hard to like her after how she introduced herself! Mauling the POV character practically unprovoked isn't a good first impression. But, like Taylor's described, I feel, she's started to grow on me. Arc 5 touched on her character and personality in a nice way. I'd already started to sympathize with her come the end of Arc 4, rather than just view her as a begrudingly amazing tool for the team, but the dynamic between her and Taylor in Arc 5 was peak. She gave her her jacket!

Arc 5 Interlude This is really sweet! It left Arc 5 off on a high note. 'Kinda. I don't know what to make of the 5.X interlude. It was interesting. Newter was nice to see again. Flatline was intriguing to get a closer look at. Gregor is a strange person, but so-- I don't know if blunt is the right word, but 'sincere'-- almost refreshingly so given the web of deception going on in every other Arc-- that I liked him by the end. What I don't know what to make of in particular is the tattoos. Does it imply that there's a different-type of origination for parahuman powers? Is it artificial? I don't know! But I'm interested in finding out! Arc 6 Anyway, that was what, 4 chapters' thoughts? Let's talk about Arc 6. I started off my liveblog talking about how one of the most interesting plot threads was the growing inner-struggle Taylor has of working with The Undersiders and having agreed to double-cross them. Something I neglected to mention as well, was Taylor's dad, Danny. Straight from the get-go, both of these are the spotlight. They almost seem to slowly be intertwining the further the Arc goes on-- something I felt especially towards the end, and a final decision Taylor makes. If it wasn't painfully clear already, I like how this arc brings to the forefront how muddy the line between traditional 'good and evil' is. Armsmaster is blatantly not-good. He does not seem to value what is right and what is wrong, and-- while we do not see inside his mind-- Taylor does, and that his reputation is above all else is very telling. Luckily, he gets what he deserves. Cue my favorite passage of the serial so far:

Actually has me grinning while reading this chapter. It is unlikely Armsmaster is the only Hero that isn't all too much of one. I'm certainly not the most researched on the subject, but the parallels between Heroes and the Cops of today seem to be a major theme. With Coil entering the picture-- and, what a fucking reveal, by the way!-- I can't imagine this idea is going to take a backseat any time soon. I don't know much about Coil, and by his own words, he is not a good person. But as the only person striving for meaningful change-- whether his methods are morally sound or not-- I think I'd feel more comfortable with Skitter under his wing than, say, Armsmaster's. From his actions and his one-chapter-of-glory alone, he's a character I'm interesting in looking out for. Arc 6 made me cry! This will likely be a running theme, as I'm warned. 6.9 in particular is where it got me. That shit was crushing. As someone that struggles with anger, I admire Danny for keeping as collected as he did given the circumstance. He really does love her, and it's awful that Taylor's gotten so deep into things so quickly that she just can't be honest with him. Not until he knows what she is, and what she does. I thought Danny and Taylor's relationship was going in a healthy direction, after the incident in the mall, but I think that was just far too wishful thinking, with how everything was going to play out. ..Conversely, it looks like Taylor is figuring herself out. Writing that letter I think finally helped her analyse what she was doing, what she cared about, and what she wanted-- contextualized after finally learning about Coil and his intentions, and everything she and The Undersiders'd been through up until now. It was a powerful moment-- burning it especially. And maybe my favorite ending to an arc so fa-- Oh! Wait! There's an interlude! This is horrifying! It sure didn't shy down from takes about law and justice! The idea of a Rogue is interesting, and one I didn't even consider in the context of the world just yet. Apparently, the world's still working on that front, too. 'Making an example' of someone in a legal context is terrifying enough. That example being that the use of powers in any altercation, if you aren't grinning and willing to be part of the governments personal army of upholding the status quo, is LIFE IMPRISONMENT IN THE MONSTER DUNGEON-- like, fuck. If this is the system Heroes are defending, it's a little bit beyond muddied good and evils, it's a swamp.

I had a lot of thoughts, and couldn't even get all of them down! Like, here's a few more bonus-thoughts: -The way Taylor via Newter-poison fucking owned Lung was rad as hell! - This!

Actually, I don't have many qualms with LIS:BTS when I really think about it, comparatively I am one of the people who genuinely like it and have positive feelings towards it enough to have replayed it a few times, albeit not the 150+ hours I have on LIS1... the setting and the soundtrack. Even if I think a lot couldve been done better, I grew to love the voice acting which many hated due to being different (really, chloes va sounds JUST like a young ashly burch! What made it bad is she tried too hard to sound like chloe price, but that adds more charm, in a weird way, adds to chloe's 16 year old awkwardness)... I like what I know of Rachel in LIS1, what she represents, but loved mostly every second of seeing her in her Almost rawest state considering chloe never got to see the deepest darkest parts of her especially as Rachel grew up, she did get to see so much of what laid beneath the surface, at least, even if she never Truly knew her. Its funny how easily fans get manipulated by rachel just as chloe does, I am not one to believe she is a master manipulator at all because Im not a rachel anti just a genuine rachel enjoyer, but lijw, wow, what worked on chloe worked on you and thats pretty funny. I think what i least liked about it were the subplots but that was for the sake of adding something to keep you playing I suppose, since rachels fate is clear. So much of it made me really emotional, it kept up the themes of exploration of different family dynamics that I liked in LIS but like... Really went deep into it, really really, with multiple characters and I liked that. Took advantage of such things wirh rachels family anf chloes too. Touched on a lot of stuff I liked a lot. I liked how to see how chloe was treated by others. Liked the scene where they act in a play. Liked their fucked up codependent situationship.... I liked how awkward chloe was as a baby and how clear which parts she ended up stealing from rachels personality in LIS1 were... the nightmare scenes are so so chilling and well done I feel like. I can really feel chloes pain in them. I liked her journal and how unlike maxs theyre all unsent letters to a max that resides in her head... bah... I really like so much about bts I didnt evenget into all of it. Like LIS1 it was janky I suppose and maybe in different ways from it but I like it. Altho im rly critical of it most fo the time and share a lot of the feelints some LIS1 fans have

I can't say I blame Kate for wanting to bail out of the fucking car that won't start here, either. I can't imagine just having to fucking sit and think about everything that's transpired, having to sit with it and not really having another frame of reference for how to handle literally any of it.

One thing I really like about this show is I think it actually follows through on the promise of many other magical girl shows: I think this is a pretty realistic take on how teenagers would respond to this sort of thing. And it has a wide range of reactions in that. Claire just wants to figure it out, Rose is basically shutting down and doing a weepy coward sort of thing, Rachel can get the job done but she is fucking DONE with this shit, and Kate is finding herself in the horns of all of this, trying to figure out where she stands. None of them are toying with fucking stupid secret third options, none of them are taking the choice of letting the world die or whatever, none fo them are lining up to die for a cause that was foisted upon them, either. all of them are struggling in ways that strike me as entirely organic.

A/N IM BACKKK sorry its taken me long to get to requests and stuff but im back now!! Also sorry i made it gender neutral but you can always imagine it as what you want.

You sighed as you walked down the multiple hallways to your dorm room. You were in New Rome university to hopefully live out a normal life. 

You continued to make your way down the hallways until you made it to your room you shared with Percy. “Finally” You mutter under your breath as you reached for the handle. It was unlocked which was good as you forgot your key that morning. 

Percy was sitting on the couch with textbooks open but was unsurprisingly not looking at any of them. Instead he was zoning out and looking at the wall. 

When you set down all of your things is when he turned to look at you. “Hey!” He said and jumped up making all the textbooks fall. You laughed and said “Hey” 

“Sooo” Percy rubbed his hands together and walked toward you. “Tomorrows your birthday!! What's the plan?” He asked. 

You raised an eyebrow “Plan? Well i was just gonna go to class then come back here and sleep” 

His eyes widened and he grabbed your shoulders(which gave you major flashbacks to Rachel and her creepy prophecies) “It's your birthday!! You only turn this age once in this life”

“You're right but I am majorly sleep deprived and I want sleep” You turned around and started walking to your room. 

You heard Percy dramatically sigh and turned around again. “We can get food?” You said and he nodded but looked like he was thinking. 

The next morning you were late so you didn't have any time to make yourself a birthday breakfast or anything. You quickly said bye to Percy and made it to your class only ten minutes late. 

You didn't have many classes that day which was good.  What you didn't know was the whole day Percy was planning.

When you said you didn't have a plan for your birthday Percy started to make plans. He knew you were really close with Annabeth, Piper, and Leo so he planned to invite them for a little party. Annabeth was easy to get here as she went to the same college.

Luckily Leo and Piper were visiting so it was also easy to get them here at a certain time. Then he started with getting food from your favorite place. He probably got too much but…at least you'll both have leftovers for days. 

Percy looked around at all the decorations he put up around your shared dorm and made sure everything was good. He also baked a cake. It was a recipe from his mom and he knew that you loved his mom's baking so he hoped you liked the cake. 

Finally everything was done. Annabeth, Piper and Leo all got there and he told them to hide around so that they all could surprise you. 

You reached the door and unlocked it as you remembered your key that morning. All the lights were off so after you shut the door you turned to the lightswitch. As soon as you turned the lights on you heard people yell “SURPRISE!”

You shrieked and threw your bag full of school supplies at them. “OW!” You heard a familiar voice say. 

You finally recognized it was your friends and realized that who you threw your bag at was Percy. “Oops?” You said in a question tone.

“Why did you phrase that like a question” Percy asked and narrowed his eyes playfully.

You rolled your eyes at him and walked forward. “What is this?” 

You looked around and saw all the decorations all over the place and food on all the tables. 

“It's your birthday! We weren't not gonna throw you a party” Percy said as he ruffled your hair. 

Leo laughed and moved forward to hug you. You smiled and hugged back. “It's been awhile” Leo broke from the hug and leaned on you. “It has” you agreed. 

“Alright Leo my turn” Piper said and pushed Leo off of you. “Hey!” He said as he stumbled.

You all laughed and moved toward the food. “Ah ah ah cake first” Percy smiled and went to go get the cake. He brought it out and lit all the candles. You read what it said “Happy Birhtday Y/n!” You were surprised he only misspelled one thing. 

They all sang you happy birthday and you blew out the candles. You all moved to the tiny table. 

Before you and Percy got there you pulled him a little away. “Thank you Percy for all of this” 

He smiled. “That's what friends do”

Fave subject in school? In high school it was usually history or art classes. Currently, I am taking mostly nursing classes, so I try to gaslight myself into believing they are my favorite 🤡

Dream job? Some sort of nursing. If I had a whole lot more patience and money I would’ve considered therapist/physician’s assistant maybe? omg can you imagine Dr. Spaceapples? 🤭
