Masterpost: Frīg's Handmaidens Project
Who are the Handmaidens?
In the Prose Edda, twelve Goddesses are listed after Frigga as Ásynjur: Fulla, Gefjon, Hlín, Syn, Eir, Sága, Gná, Vár or Vór, Snotra, Vör, Lofn and Sjöfn. Modern Heathens sometimes refer to Them as Frigga's Handmaidens. (This is a piece of shared gnosis, not an historically attested term.) For many of the Twelve, this is all that survives in the way of attestations.
What is the Project?
Gradually over several years, and more intentionally recently, I have been building a devotional cultus around these Goddesses. As part of that, I've been putting together primers on each of the Twelve on my longform blog -- detailing Their surviving attestations, Old English God-names and epithets for Them, my own personal experiences and upg, a prayer, and devotional icon art -- as well as essays and modern myths exploring other aspects of Them and my cultus to Them.
Although I use Old English names for Them and honour Them in a syncretic heathen practice drawing on influences from across the British and Irish Isles, I hope these may be useful and/or interesting for practitioners working in a Norse, Continental, or other context. Or for anyone worshipping and building cultus to lesser-known and lesser-attested Gods!
I will update this post periodically, but if you like you can subscribe to my longform Wordpress blog for updates when I post.

Challenge for GOWR Fans
As a gow fan, i have a proposition for all artist who love the game, a challenge if you may.
The challenge is to make your own design of three characters that did not appear in GOWR but are in norse mythology.
Theses characters are:
-Hel (Godess of Death and Daughter of Loki and Angrboda)
-Vidar (Last son of Odin and God of Silence and Vengeance and last)
-Snotra (Godess of Wisdom and Daughter of Mimir and Sigrum)
But there a a few things that you must follow, before doing it.
-All of the three are in the same age (12 years old) and are best friends.
'-Snotra has to have horns like her father.
-Vidar has to have blood-like red eyes (because i think it would look cool) and he has to wear the boots he uses from the myths.
-Hel must have something in her design that makes a great connection to her heritage, like something from both her parents and her grandfather.
Besides that you can do whatever you want in your design, even make a backstory for each of them.
There will be no winners in the challenge because is just for fun, but whoever has a design that is interesting and very unique, i will choose that design and write a fanfic about the three characters, i will also credit the artist who made it and if he/she want´s, they can resquest a fic about then.
Hope you guys like the challenge and Good Luck!!
Don´t forget to reblog if you want.

Clusters of people walked towards the large castle doors, some older, some quite young, each of them dressed in a wide array of outfits. One by one, each attendee handed their ticket to the guard and was granted passage. Mortals create such interesting lives. Daithi stood there, observing with a warm smile on his face. Sigtryggr x Uhtred's Daughter Headcanons Part I
Disclaimer: She is Uhtred and Gisela's daughter, a year older than Stiorra. Because of this I don't see the harm in naming her instead of calling her 'y/n', because I doubting 9th century times of Saxons and Danes with Dane parents she will be named Ashley or Cameron or Soledad, most of these languages didn't even exist yet.
With that rant aside, I am giving her the Norse name Kelda, and because she is Uhtred and Gisela's daughter she's going to resemble them.
Kelda is the oldest child of Uhtred and Gisela
When their mother left for Valhalla she took on the maternal role.
She looks after her father because he cannot look after himself when it comes to eating and getting enough sleep.
She encouraged Young Uhtred's dream of following the path of the nailed God, and was always trying to convince her father he must be supportive, and that he has that rebellious nature he inherited from him, and being a Rebel in this family means being a Christian
As much as she wanted to smother Stiorra for whining and complaining about being stuck with the children and in hiding, she refrained and understood how frustrating it could be. She prayed to Snotra at least ten times a day for guidance and wisdom.
She needed Stiorra though, for she's more of a warrior than Kelda.
Stiorra does what sisters do and taunt Kelda, saying she's too soft for a Dane and they would never want a flowery wife, Claiming she's better for a Saxon man.
Kelda rolled her eyes but she did worry.
She spends many time in the forest, worshipping the the huldrefolk, the skogsrå, Freya, and the nature deities. Often found dancing ritual circles outside, often naked.
She is very beautiful but doesn't see it herself, a womanly soft figure she resents, wanting to be petite like Stiorra like her mother was. Her breasts could hardly ever even be confined by her dresses.
And how she wished her hair were smoothe like silk like Stiorra and her mother.
Instead wild curls that tangled down to her wide hips was what Kelda possessed. A golden brown color amd usually adorn with flowers or prettily plaited. She washed it everyday with a lye soap she made with mint and lavender herbs, the lye is what caused her light brown hair to have a goldness to it. She would bathe in honeysuckle oil water she made as well and wash her face four times a day with chamomile soap and water. She dedicated these grooming times and beauty spells to Freyja.
Stiorra felt it to be silly and vain of Kelda, but these routines kept her constantly tumultuous life going, to being Uhtred's daughter, a little sane.
Kelda sewed herself dresses usually a similar color to cornflower, it was as her favorite as well as earthy blush tones, all made her hair color more pronounced, looked lovely against her sun-kissed skin (since she was always outside), made her very fully rosy lips appear more rosy, and her warm doe brown eyes appear almost golden.
She used to be very fond of Finan, and would learn Gaelic from him , but when she became older she realized how silly she was and felt nothing for him but familial love.
When she, Lady Aelswith, Stiorra, and Aethelstan were kidnapped, she was very afraid but only for the others not herself.
She vowed to do anything to protect them.
The stares of Haestens men did make her weary though, the way they'd comment on her sweet smell or her soft hair, or comment on her breasts. Stiorra squeezed her hand when she saw her sister tear up in fear of being taken by force.
But miraculously the journey to Winchester, or what was left of it, she was unharmed they all were.
When they arrived, she felt ill of the wild pregnant shieldmaiden, the Goddesses warned her she could feel it. But she stood in front of Stiorra and Aethelstan protectively looking brave and showing no weakness.
Catching the eye of the warlord, Lord Sigtryggr of Ireland.
His icy blue eyes had the most difficult time removing from this maiden who was obviously Freyja herself in the flesh.
He looked stoic to all in the room but all he could think of focus on, was how well her developed body filled out her torn blue dress, looking like a tempting huldrakall with her thick blood colored lips beckoning him like a spell, wild and beautiful goddess like hair with a color that reminded him of the sun lighting the earth, wanting to smell the locks. He looked into her wide, innocent eyes, lidded with long eyelashes and a pretty dark shade of the earth. Her cheeks are round and rosy despite her sun-kissed skin and Sigtryggr hardly recognized himself, for no maiden has ever made him feel this way. Unable to breathe, forgetting his plan and reason.
Brida demanded them to prove that they are Danes and asked the other girl who Frigga's handmaiden is, he was impressed with her correct answer proving her Dane heritage. She insulted the beauty and called her a Saxon outright. But she surprised Sigtryggr and all in the room when her sweet, soft voice spoke back with firmness. "I am a Dane like my sister, I worship Frigga and Freyja, I dance in midsommar for Sól and braid flower wreaths, I give myself to Freyja's Magick, pray at her alter. And right now I look to Snotra for guidance!"
His heart never raced so fast, and Brida seemed to recognize the girls claiming them to be the Dane-Slayer's children.
Brida wanted to throw the beauty to the men but Sigtryggr didn't let her, calmly demanding her presence with him.
Little did he know, she too could hardly take her eyes off of him as well.

An Updated Basic Sigyn Info List
Information on her from Snorri Sturluson/Norse Myth:
She is a Goddess, listed as one of the Asynja or Aesir Goddesses (meaning she was likely not of Vanaheim but instead of Asgard.)
She married Loki and had two sons, Vali and Narvi/Narfi.
Eventually, both boys were murdered (some believe only Narfi was killed and Vali was left as a wolf to roam and bear the grief of what he'd done to his brother.) The intestines of Narfi were turned into chains and with them, Loki was bound to three boulders in a cave. A serpent was hung over his head to drip venom on him until Ragnarok. Sigyn took up a bowl and joined her husband at his side to catch the poison, trying to shield him. However, she must leave his side to empty the bowl during which time Loki thrashes so violently from the pain that he causes earthquakes.
What happens to Sigyn after Loki is freed and begins Ragnarok is unknown. It is assumed she dies along with the rest.
One of her kennings is Incantation-Fetter. This implies some talent with magic, specifically binding magic, and warding and protection. This kenning comes from Loki being mentioned several times as "The Burden of Incantation Fetter's Arms."
Her name means “Victory Bringer”, “Victorious Girlfriend” and “Friend of Victory.”
Her parents and origins are unknown. Nothing else survives that may point to the ways in which her nature and roles were conceived of by the Norse. Nothing survives of her worship.
Things not proven but widely believed in:
Sigyn being a Goddess of Constancy and Compassion, though other popular beliefs are that she is a Goddess of Loyalty and Devotion among other virtues.
Sigyn appears in the 9th century skaldic poem Haustlöng from pagan times, written by the skald Þjóðólfr of Hvinir. Due to this early connection with Loki, Sigyn has been theorized as a god dating back to an older form of Germanic paganism before being transferred to Norse.
The mid-11th century Gosforth Cross located in Cumbria, England, has been interpreted as featuring various figures from Norse mythology. The bottom portion of the west side of the cross features a depiction of a long-haired female, kneeling figure holding an object above another prostrate, bound figure. Above and to their left is a knotted serpent. This has been interpreted as Sigyn soothing the bound Loki.
Although there are a number of different interpretations out there, most depictions of her show her to be blonde and with blue eyes.
She is often described as being significantly younger than Loki.
Unverified Personal Gnosis of believers and worshipers:
She is of the Vanir, and Njord was her Father.
Her marriage with Loki is not abusive; in fact many Lokeans often get the feeling of fierce protectiveness from Loki when it comes to Sigyn. He is known to not really introduce anyone to her until he deems it safe.
However, those who do get the chance to work with Sigyn comment on how warm, safe and comforting her presence is. She also helps give them inner strength.
She reveals herself in one of two ways: either as a delightfully child-like young girl or, conversely, as a wife, implacable, resilient, post the ordeal of the cave, burdened by the overwhelming grief of the loss of her children.
A list of ways to honor Sigyn (X) (X)
Things invented by Marvel Comics:
Her relationship/engagement to Theoric and the murder of him by Loki.
Being tricked into marriage by Loki (and honestly, the way she was treated throughout it.)
Being known for the first time as the Goddess of Fidelity.
According to the entry in Kid Loki’s profile in “Avengers: Roll Call #1″, it is mentioned Sigyn is deceased.
Fandom Invented Things, but widely believed in:
Freyja is her mother, and the dwarf Iwaldi is her father. She is sister to Nanna, Syn, Lofn, Var, Snotra and is Princess of Vanaheim.
Because the meanings of her name involve the word “Victory”, some think it implies her having ties to the Valkyrie and being a Goddess of Victory.

Hi! I need an opinion on something, i am making a Next Gen God of War story that goes like this- Is about Atreus and Angrboda´s daughter, Hel (She is called Laufey by her family) and she is in a path of discovering her role as the godess of death, in my story she is in a journey to restore her uncle Brok´s soul, so he can have an afterlife, in her journey she is accompanied by her best friend and loyal steed, Helhest, who is the three legged steed of Hel in myths.
(pt2) Along with them there´s Snotra, a godess of wisdow and daugther of Mimir and Sigrum( Don´t ask how, not even the other´s know how) she has the same age as Layfey( both are 12 years old in my story) and Sindri, who despite still grieving, wants to help give Brok an Afterlife, but the last one of her group i am having dificult is Víðarr, the god of vengeance, still the son of Odin and the same age as Laufey and Snotra, i will post he´s backstory in a minute. Sorry if this is anoying :(
(pt3) As i said he was the youngest, but he was also the strongest of the sons of Odin, campable of lifting boulders at four years old, and so the Alfather, just like he did with Thor, abused him, turn him to a weapon, but diferent from Thor, it backfired and so he imprisoned him, he was only six when Ragnarok happened. When Asgard was destroyed, Vidar was thrown in Muspelheim, in my story he serves the role of Kratos, and Hel tries to help him the same way Faye did, so what you think? To much?
Hi anon! Thanks for sharing the premise of your story with me, it sounds really fun! :D And it's not annoying at all, so don't worry!!
I don't think Vidarr's backstory is too much at all! If you're happy with it, I say go for it XDD I'm also not sure what in particular you're having difficulty with; is it his personality? Or how Hel will help him? Vidarr's experience with Odin will surely affect how he behaves around others. And if he was isolated in Musphelheim for years, then that will also have an impact on him. So you can definitely have his growth and healing happen throughout his journey with the others!
I hope this was helpful! And I wish you lots of fun with writing your story!! :DDD

Day 4 - What would be your ideas for Sigyn Marvel Comic Reboot?
Like everyone else on here, one where Sigyn isn't a tragic abused wife as some modern media just loveees to turn her into because Loki is a villan! And those people can't love their wives nooo../s 🙄
I want her strong sides to be shown and for her character to develop more than to just be Loki's wife and that's about it! I want to see her relationships and I especially want Narfi and Vali to also have some more greater purpose in media, which is what I've included here!
So here are some of my ideas written into quite the story, because this way is easier to me! Sorry it's long, truly didn't intend it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sigyn is of high status, herself being a princess, but of Vanaheim and the daughter of Freya. Her father is secretly Iwaldi, a dwarf and a very talented blacksmith.
Freya had slept with him to insure she'd have an heir, resulting in a few daughters, who she'd love unconditionally despite hoping for a son. To one day over the throne!
Nanna, Idunn, Syn, Snotra, Var, Sigyn, Sjofn and Lofn were their names respectfully.
But this whole time Freya was actually married to the mysterious god named Odr, but who had neglected her love and would rather focus on traveling the realms than to be with her.
Freya only kept the marriage going for appearance and an old alliances sake.
She didn't care much for Odr because of his lack of interest and instead herself, focused on raising her daughters and kingdom.
A kingdom that would later be put in danger when Asgard threatens with war, after a failed attempt to make an alliance between the two, when Freya refused to share their magical powers with them!
Something the vanir people were very known for.
Freya tries her best to manage and sends her daughters, who were old enough to understand what was going on, to her brother Freyrs realm in alfheim.
There the girls were taught by their uncle and his partner Gerdr everything Freya herself had hoped to guide them through, womanhood.
Meanwhile the queen had to fight against Asgard's army, loosing many warriors in the process and eventually having to give up. Afraid she would loose more of her people!
At this point in time Sigyn and her sisters had grown into adulthood and as a peace offering, Odin forces Freya to make the difficult decision in promising to have some of her daughters get married to the Aesir.
Thinking that, through marriage and the offsprings they'd have, surely Freya wouldn't be able to keep the vanir's magic away from him. But she had plans up her sleeves.
Nanna was the first to marry, ending up with Odin's son Baldr and later having a son named Forseti. The only issue being that Nanna wasn't a sourseress and Freya had lied to Odin.
Resulting in Idunn being the next one to marry, who was actually a sorceress. She gets married to Odin's son Bragi and sadly the aesir were able to obtain Idunn's golden apples of immortality for their own gain, as her domain was over youth.
Because Idunn had acctually trusted the aesir and Odin had used her, she refused to try for children and her husband, Bragi loving her dearly respects that not wanting to try despite his fathers encouragements. That led the hopeful all-father to be enraged.
Feeling humiliated to be tricked by Freya the first time and now having to face stubborness, Odin instead chooses to give away Freya's remaining daughters to his most prized guards, instead of his sons.
One being a brave and young solider named Theoric, who Sigyn was soon to marry.
Sigyn was very much like her father, a hard worker with muscles of steel! She was passionate when it came to fighting techniques rather than magical skills.
So when Odin demanded that she and the rest of her sisters, who were not already sorceresses to join his wife Frigga's court and learn it, Sigyn was quite offended by it.
She wanted to become a Valkyrie more than anything, knowing that those positions were possible to join, but Odin refused to hear her out. Things only got worse when a certain prince started to play tricks on her as his adoptive mother taught the young ladies magic. It was Loki, the trickster god!
Sigyn never knew why she out of everyone in Frigga's court had to be the target. When little did she know Loki was very much intrigued by her, in all the ways.
They'd started off as enemies at first, like most because of Loki's behavior. But eventually through bonding over their strange family drama and similar lives, became pretty good friends!
Sadly, Loki had developed feelings for Sigyn, knowing from the very begging she would be eventually married off to Theoric. So he decided to not confess his feelings and instead ran off from Asgard.
Sigyn was understandably very confused and upset over her only friends disappearance and this actually affected her marriage, but decided to give Theoric a chance either way and bond like she had with Loki.
Apparently it payed off quite a bit as being a respected solider did not only get Sigyn place with the Valkyries but her and Theoric had something I'm common!!
So far life was getting better again and Sigyn's marriage was nothing but platonic, something she had made sure to voice very early on. Theoric being the good man he was obviously respected that and was eventually called out to battle.
Despite never loving Theoric that way, Sigyn did find herself quite nervous about what would happen to him and even had to admit she might've catched feelings for him.
But right when things only seemed to blossom for her, Theoric returns home and acts very odd from his usual happy self. Until it all makes sense when Loki reveals it was him the whole time, Sigyn was not only outraged at this but had so many questions.
And Loki would happily provide answers for her and fill on on everything she had been missing out on.
Loki had been so jealous he ran away and was planning on a way to actually confess to Sigyn despite her marriage. Luckily enough for him thought, he didn't even have to play a part in Theoric's sudden death as he had fallen in battle by his own doing.
Loki had only watched from afar.
After that Loki felt guilty, wishing he could've done something even if it would've been a very suspicious thing for him to do, considering he is a missing prince.
So he found comfort in one of the women warriors there, who had fought against Asgards army. Her name being Angrboda, someone he knew his adoptive family would never approve off and had children with her very recently.
But now people had seen Loki in Jotunheim with his little family, and it had been reported back to Odin in Asgard.
Loki admits he was selfish and apologized for not revealing himself sooner!
This would still leave Sigyn with a few questions though, had she gotten to know the real Theoric before his death or had that been Loki all along?
Tumblr media
After taking these news surprisingly well and not freaking out as much as she, herself would've thought! Sigyn was unsure how to proceed and grieve, giving Loki his chance to rekindle their relationship.
He offers Sigyn the comfort she needs until she is ready to get back on her feet, never pushing to ask if she felt the same feelings towards him, after having confessed his attraction.
Once Sigyn feels better mentally, she let's the news of Theoric's death be known and his funeral is held. After even more support from her mother and sisters, Sigyn feels hopeful and Incuraged Loki to stop pretending and return to Asgard officially, with his new family!
Despite what Odin would think, because Sigyn wanted to see and meet them, she wanted to show how much she cared for them! Like Loki had cared her.
Loki was hesitant at first but tries his best and makes his grand return, proving to Odin that the news he had heard were true, Loki had made himself a family in Jotunheim.
This was the worst choice no one could've predicted, not even Loki and Sigyn. The next thing they knew, Angrboda was brought to Asgard with their children and treated horribly. When all Angrboda wanted was to fit in with the rest of the aesir gods.
Sigyn when she first saw Angrboda, knew she had to do everyhing in her power to protect that woman and her unique children.
Sigyn offers her home to be the familes as well and makes sure to care for Angrboda and their children daily! Quickly adapting to the fact that Hel needed constant skincare because of her skin condition that caused it to rot in certain places.
While two of their sons, Fenrir and Jormungandr were shapeshifters, meaning they took on other forms that weren't humanoid. Specifically a wolf and a snake.
Sigyn wanted nothing more than for them to feel as welcomed by her as possible, especially after what they had gone through to get to Asgard, and In return Angrboda gave something back. Forever grateful!
She reveals she was once a powerful witch and as a thank you offers to teach Sigyn magic, even more beyond what Frigga and the vanir was able to teach her.
This was the start of yet another blossoming relationship as Angrboda and Sigyn quickly bonded through the magic, the fact they both loved fighting in battles and hated Odin and the aesir for manipulating their people!
Now Sigyn wasn't only strong physically but even more skilled in magic. Able to heal fallen soldiers and help her fellow Valkyrie sisters on the battlefield! She even started to develop romantic feelings for both Angrboda and Loki herself.
Sadly happiness was never meant to last for them as Odin, soon reveals the nightmares that had been tormenting him, as well as seeing prophecies about Loki's children.
They were destined to destroy everything Odin had worked for, so to prevent this he tore apart the family. No matter how much Loki and Sigyn tried to comfort Angrboda, the poor anxious woman refused to let the old man win, only to be caught while trying to escape Asgard later that night.
Her children are forcefully taken away in the act and Angrboda puts up a fight, a battle to the death which results in her murder.
The giantess had fought as bravely as she did back when Loki had first seen her, refusing to give up on what she held so dear.
Not only was Loki heartbroken once he heard about the news, but so was Sigyn..demanding that they pay for what they did by at least, letting Loki keep something from this traumatic experience!
Odin taking slight pity on his adoptive son, still blamed Loki for everything that had lead up to this point. But either way was allowed to keep Hel, as the girl wouldn't be able to survive in her frail sickly state.
Yet took care of Fenrir and Jormungandr, their fates unknown to the remaining family.
Tumblr media
Years later after grieving over their loss of Angrboda, Fenrir and Jormungandr. Loki and Sigyn while raising Hel together finally agreed to start a relationship, which ended up going so well for them that they tied the knot and got married not long after!
A few years later when Sigyn found out she was pregnant, she decided to resign as a Valkyrie after many eons of her service.
Wanting to focus on her growing family instead, especially since Loki had grown nervous for what could happen to their offspring as well. Would Odin take them?
Eventually after a lot of comforting, convincing and patience. Sigyn gave birth to two healthy twin boys that they named Narfi and Nari. Loki could never have been prouder and Hel, quickly adjusted to her new brothers entering her life.
Once Freya heard the news of her new grandsons, the old queen was overjoyed. In the past, when Forseti had been first born, at freya's request she asks Baldr and Nanna for permission to make him be the heir to her throne of vanaheim.
But Odin not wanting his perfect sons child to leave Asgard, refused to let the couple decide. Causing Freya to grow hopeless for her kingdoms future, as none of her daughters had mothered any children.
But now that Sigyn finally had, having twin sons! Freya felt like it was a blessing. Even if she didnt like Loki for his reputation, a part of her was thankful Sigyn had chosen Loki out of all, since Odin cared less about him and wouldn't suspect her to go for their children, to help her kingdom grow.
When reuniting with Sigyn, Freya asks to have one of her sons one day take over her throne and happily Sigyn and Loki both agree that it should happen, but that they should revisit this topic in the near future!
Over the years, as their children grew so did their personalites! Hel became a well behaved young lady but one to not be taking anything from anyone, she knew what she wanted..to be above Odin so she could decide things. So she could have control!
Vali was always a hyper and extroverted kid and showed excellent skill in magic, often trying to shape shift or create clones like Loki would. He admired his father!
Narfi unlike his brother was more calm and Introverted and skilled in magic as well, but wanting to be like his mother and learn how to heal and help people!
But suddenly a heartbreaking decision was made and Hel was sent off by to nifleheim once she was old enough to care for herself by Odin.
The young woman would rename the realm helheim, in her imagine and becomes a successful queen over the frozen and dead.
It was a difficult departure for all of them, but especially for the twins and Hel, as they were all very close and Hel still traumatized from the night her mother was killed.
Having to be reminded the same thing to when Odin had ordered Hel to leave, triggered Loki greatly and he wanted vengeance upon the man he once called father. He wanted to take something he held dear as well!
So for the first time in a long time he starts planning behind everyone's backs, even Sigyn's to insure she couldn't stop him.
So that she didn't have to worry about him! But the crime he would commit, causing Baldr's blind brother Hodr, to kill Baldr with a mistletoe arrow, after the beloved god also started to suffer from nightmares of his own death and prophecy.
When loki was eventually found out for his direct cause in the crime, he had officially caused the downfall of his family.
Brought to a cave, people wanting to kill him but unable to as he was a son of Odin, one of them. Odin to insure Loki would pay for the spilled blood, took his attention towards his twin sons. They took Vali and he was turned into a wolf, tearing apart poor Narfi.
Sigyn would be there to watch it all, be traumatized all over again watching someone she loved be killed.
When the whole ordeal was over, as she just fades and protects Loki from the serpants burning venom, that was now hanging above him. She prays to Hel to take care of their slained son Narfi and for Vali to have found a safe place to recover.
So as the couple awaited Ragnarok, Sigyn knowing very well she would fight to the death by Loki's side. Didn't know Vali had found Fenrir and jormungandr, being taken in by his older brothers and cared for, taught how to fight while in animal form.
Eventually learning how to control his abilities and turn into a boy again, then meeting up with the only person he could think of which was Freya, who he told everything and in return comforted him.
Meanwhile Narfi was welcomed by Hel in the underworld and became a god of life, thanks to his healing abilities, helping her aid the good dead in her underworld!
To be continued..
