While I’m ok with -and actually really like- the backstory Redemption gave Eliot I do agree it doesn’t totally meet up with the implied backstory from OG Leverage. However I have a way to remedy the issue as I see it -actually I have several but I’ll just mention this one I think is kinda interesting. This one is pure hc because it contradicts the stated canon.
Eliot is adopted at a young age, from an abusive home. Perhaps as a young child he was left badly hurt at the hospital and his to be mom bonded with him and decided to foster and later adopt him. Not perfect, but I think it gives better connectivity between the OG and sequel series.

i was watching the movie again and went "...wait a second" at the designs of The Gammas (or Gamma Mu Mu). i looked up trivia and couldn't find anything to confirm (or deny, i guess) my thoughts, so i guess?? this is a theory? (someone with a DVD/Bluray version, please check the Special Features for me to see if anyone mentions this. i have no idea) i'm surprised i haven't seen this parallel thrown around more but yeah, i think im onto something if this is a new thought in the Goofy Movies fanbase lol
sorry for the low quality of the image, ill type the transcript up in the post to make up for how blurry my text is. there just isn't a lot of pictures of these guys, period, much less that i could find of this specific scene so i could make my point
Tumblr media
but yeah, my theory is The Gammas are all based off the classic villains in the Mickey-Donald-Goofy multiverse (plus Bigfoot, but i know many people noticed the redhead member of the Gammas is just "a shaved down version of Bigfoot" from the first "A Goofy Movie" lol)
(also, im a novice at learning about this extended Mickey-Donald-Goofy multiverse, im still new to the Carl Banks comics and havent seen all the media. so forgive me if im wrong at any point and please kindly correct me ♡)
so there's:
named: Bradley Uppercrust III — no idea if he is based off of anyone
named: Tank — based off of: Pete / Peg Leg Pete (but make him unrelated to PJ, basically) (hence, why he looks the least like his source, if im correct. he has a shirtless scene where he's revealed to have a farmer's tan, that i think you could argue is a very subtle nod that would have been slightly closer to a Pete-like coloration. but yeah, if im right, they had to make Tank's pallette lighter ao he wouldn't be mistaken as a relative of PJ's)
unnamed bearded member — based off of: the main Beagle Boys trio (Babyface) (Bigtime) (if you don't know the lore: there's a lot of Beagle Boys as the gag is they're a BIG family, but the main trio in the original "Ducktales" show is the first set of parentheses. the second set of parentheses is their names in the classic Ducktales comics. both the original "Ducktales" show and the reboot "Ducktales" show features both sets of the trio/s though. though the Carl Barks version of the comics preferred the route of "they go by their prison-numbers rather than their names". also, inbetween the two "Ducktales" TV shows, a lot of Disney media just merged the two trios into one kind-of-amorphous trio, as far as i can tell, like with "Mickey, Donald, and Goofy: the Three Muskateers". but still, they're part of a HUGE family who tend to be clones of said main trio. but i digress. they're a confusing family lmao rip)
unnamed member wearing sunglasses — based off of: the main Beagle Boys trio (Bankjob) (Bouncer) (i like to think his sunglasses (and i guess also the unnamed bearded member's glasses, but mainly these sunglasses) as a homage to the Beagle Boys' black masks lol)
named: Slouch — based off of: the main Beagle Boys trio (Bugle) (Burger) (also: im entirely banking off differentiating Bugle/Burger to Slouch and Bankjob/Bouncer to sunglasses-guy on how Bugle is commonly reffered to as "a hipster" and i personally associate fedoras with a similar type of crowd. i could have those mixed up tho, idk, neither of these guys even have any lines lol but i do like the idea that maybe the fedora is flipped like that as a reference to the Beagle Boys' billed caps? idk, that might be a stretch) (i would also like to mention i hc these guys are The Beagle Brats now in college-age, who are an unnamed trio that goes by "1, 2, and 3" in the comics but, from what i can tell, that the Beagle Brats in general (not 1, 2, and 3 specifically) were first seen(?) in the "Ducktales" original show (who also have a v small cameo in the reboot) that were meant to parallel the triplets Huey and Dewey and Louie; these specific ones im talking about the nephews of the general-amorphous-main-trio of Beagle Boys, but it is possible to call any Beagle Boy who is young a Beagle Brat. but, yeah, i have no basis for why i think Slouch and the other two are specifically the Beagle Brats 1, 2, and 3; that's entirely headcanon)
unnamed member that's a redhead — based off of: Bigfoot in "A Goofy Movie" (again, i know a lot of people caught this one lmao)
unnamed member that has black hair — based off of: Mortimer Mouse (who was once also known aa Montmorency Rodent/Rodawn, but they've been retconned into being the same character by now, but that'a a tangent.) (if you don't know the lore: Mortimer is a bit complicated to describe? but the tldr is that he's basically Mickey's love-rival for Minnie. to go more in depth though, uh, he's more wealthy, usually, and claims to be "in love" with Minnie Mouse but is also a jerk and she generally does not have any interest in him (well, unless the plot the writer wants includes a love-triangle). Pete is usually considered a more recognizable villain, so Mortimer rarely shows up, esp since Pete can be easily be written as also harboring feelings for Minnie. so sometimes shows re-write Mortimer from this personality so he is more distinct, sometimes as a toxic friend of Mickey's or overall bad influence but well-intentioned; so the character has some flexibility. but i know him best, as do many others, via his "House of Mouse" recurring role where he'd show up just to try to break Mickey and Minnie up or otherwise flirt with any female guests. i think he works well in competition wirh Pete, who has more of a Goliath-and-David relationship with Mickey when Mickey and Pete are antagonistic, as Mortimer is an antagonist that is just as clever and capable as Mickey (if not more so, since he is clever, competent, and generally wealthy enough to have more resources than Mickey) but does not have Mickey's sincerity or good intentions. though i dont mind how kid shows re-write him either, i think toxic friends and bad influences are good lessons for children to learn. i like Mortimer being a frenemy who has good intent but bad follow-through lol but anyway, thank you for allowing me this debatably-overexplanation of Mortimer since he's my favorite and also, uh, the only one here where #1 he isnt in the Goofy Movie series and ergo may not be known to others, #2 has a consistent personality beyond "bad guy in story" i can talk about unlike the Beagle Boys trio/s and their huge extended family of might-as-well-be-clones, and #3, again, he's my favorite if you couldnt tell lol) (also, i do think you could argue this unnamed character's quiff is a nod to Mortimer's mouse-ears tho, since there's a curve and all. and then the idea he has some stubble as a possible ref to Mortimer's whiskers is hilarious to me if my theory has water and he was intentionally designed after Mortimer lmao)
anyway, i apologize again if this idea has been discussed before. i really did try to google if anyone was spreading the same idea that The Gammas are just a fun College AU-Variant of these guys already
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
+ bonus, since i mentioned them, The Beagle Brats:
Tumblr media
please let me know if you think the idea has merit, and especially let me know if Bradley is a reference to anyone (tho i can also fully buy Bradley being original to this movie!) thanks so much for reading ♡
ps. i am dyslexic so do forgive me for any misspellings. i am editing this unseriously from my phone ✌️

Sorry for the ramble in your inbox incoming- I'm a really huge fan of your analysis type posts like the ones about Cathal and recently Flint ;A; So I hope its ok to maybe throw in my own 2 cents about Cogs/their society- (Sorry this gets rambly I thought about this last night and writing this like an hour after waking up lol)
I think what alot of people kind of (I wouldnt say ignore- more of:) don't really get is that I dont believe characters like Cathal or Flint have bad tendencies because they really want to in a way, (I kind of worded that poorly but point is) but because their society rewards and encourages that type of behavior. I think you said something kind of similar on Cathals post- But especially for Flint, whose a Bossbot (Who are literally the embodiment of a toxic workplace and elitism. I believe a old snippet from the TTO magazines says "They have no real skills of their own, just the ability to push down others and stay on top!" Or something to that nature.) he has to be demanding and imposing. There is no benefit to him in being kind. (Like looking at Misty for example) And don't get me wrong I don't believe that if Flint and Cathal were removed from Cog society they'd be better/objectively nicer (Like Flint not being condescending to Toons and Cathal not making people do things for him and being encouraged to try) But I do wonder how much of it is pressure, or how much of it is egged on and rewarded. Atleast in the aspects it relates to how they treat others.
(..And also I wonder what happens to Cogs that don't get jobs and are seen as ..not functioning. Since Graham was freaking the hell out in "Meeting Of Two Minds" over the possibility of not getting the job. I have a whole thing about this actually in my oc lore but thats another thing entirely I'll write about someday I swear)
Also I gasped when I saw the doodle of Graham in the MSI shirt finally a MSI listener Graham truther. I think he'd like the album "How I Learned To" and of course "You'll Rebel To Anything". I associate him mainly with the songs "Lights Out", "On It", and "You're No Fun Anymore" :p (This has been my favorite band since I was like 13 and now I get to spill all my opinions xD) I always imagined him doing the guitar backbend their bassist does! And my final hc is that Flint plays bass and Graham plays the main guitar. I think it fits them .. some people overlook bass when its actually pretty hard to learn from what I hear and vital to the song. (Like heres Feel Good Inc w/o the bass.. feels wrong x_x)
Anyways thanks for reading ;A; take care and happy new year!
RAHHHH EATING THIS UP YUM YUM YUM YES YES YOU GET IT
THe biggest issue with Cogs Inc is that it REWARDS and ENCOURAGES these poor behaviors, worsening these characters as people. ESPECIALLY cathal considering the position of power they’re in. I’m sure it applies to a ton of other cogs too, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten to them yet bc I’m not as insane abt them . LMAO
And yeah since cogs are literally built for work, it’s a wonder what happens to those who can’t find a job as easily as others. Hoping that gets built on since it’s clear in MOTM that these cogs have to actually apply and go to interviews and probably face some trial and error to land a job, just like people IRL.
ALSO. THE BAND HCS. I love it and you’re SOOOO RIGHT about the backbend that is so grahamcore. And yes I’m pretty sure Flint does play bass, I think his creator mailman said smth abt that on their blog . AND IM SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP FEEL GOOD INC bc i did draw flint in a demon days shirt in that same animatic . And ive def drawn them in the same shirt a couple times in the past too . I’ve always imagined him to be a Gorillaz fan, maybe graham too
Anyway ty for these thoughts im eating them up and leaving no crumbs . I love when ppl come to ramble in my inbox bc discussing this stuff IS SO FUN and a good outlet for me esp when i might be having art burnout rn .

vague thoughts on the cursed vaults and their lore in my version
below the cut bc there’s some spoilers for my rewrite
ok so maybe i did write three whole stories before sitting down and figuring out my lore and stuff for the vaults don’t @ me
anyways, some thoughts:
the cursed vaults have a sort of domino effect going on. once you open one, the next will automatically open when the first is closed and so on until they’re all closed... or whoever is opening them fails.
failing means they die or they get trapped in a vault.
(which is only occasionally a death sentence. usually it is bc you’re trapped in a sealed room without food or water, but it is possible to survive the portrait vault. if you get caught there you don’t age or need any food... until you get out. when you get out, you age rapidly to the age you would have been and all your years long needs come back to you. Jacob was lucky he was only there for a few years.)
so the curses that started with Jacob ended when he was trapped in the portrait vault.
the glowing pillar things used to hold items, either treasures or clues, but the original items are long gone by Jacob and Lili’s time. people who had gone into the vaults before took them.
when Jacob was looking, there was nothing in them, but when messing around he noticed that if you put something in it, it would float and stay there which later would give him an idea.
after Duncan died, Jacob gathered some items and gave them to Olivia. she was meant to go into the first three vaults (harmless at that point because the curse of the fourth vault was still ongoing so their respective curses couldn’t activate) and put the items in there.
Jacob knew that if he didn’t manage to get through the portrait vault in time, then R would discard him and pick some other child to open them. he wanted to give whoever came after him some clues to help guide them.
and it would be a child. he knew that.
i’m not sure of the exact reasoning why yet, but I’m thinking that the vaults will only open for people under a certain age. 18? children and teenagers basically. so R uses them to do what they want.
either some kid finds out about the vaults on their own and R manipulates them into doing their bidding, or they raise a child to be obsessed with the Vaults and have them look for them while they’re at hogwarts.
(the second option is what I think I’m going to do with Merula. She was meant to be their next puppet after Jacob but turned out to not be that great at searching for them and R eventually gave up on her in favor of manipulating Lili. another reason why she has a grudge against Lili and why she eventually turns from R.)
(Rakepick in my hc only found out about the vaults as an older teen. she never went into a vault while at hogwarts and by the time R found her, she was already too old to be useful, so they recruited her instead. that’s what they do with older teens since they won’t be useful in actively looking for the vaults.)
the age thing is also why Dumbledore isn’t doing more to help them--he can’t. if he got involved more then the vaults would retaliate violently and he does want to keep the students safe, so he stays out of the way.
(he would probably would be more up front about this bc its not knowledge that needs to be hidden, but Lili hates him and mistrusts anything he says so he doesn’t say anything. he did, however, help Jacob more. in my hc, Duncan’s death was never released to the news or connected to Jacob and its bc of Dumbledore doing some meddling. he also was the one who taught Jacob legillimancy bc Snape reaaaally hated Jacob and the two of them definitely had many talks during those lessons.)
(sorry not sorry to some people but i am not one of those people whos convinced Dumbledore is The Worst Person In Existence. Lili is but i’m not lol)
that’s what R used Ben for. they Imperio’d him to try to get around the age thing, but it didn’t work. no matter what they tried, the vault wouldn’t open and eventually actively retaliated, which is how Ben got caught in the cursed ice. they eventually just gave up and left him for dead.
so yea. R knows the locations of the first 3 vaults and try to steer the kids in that direction. but as vaguely as possible bc the vault is like hogwarts--its such old magic that its sort of semi sentient and knows when humans are trying to manipulate it for their own gain.
(I think Merula opened the vault in first year, but didn’t have much success looking for it after. she was given some knowledge by R in 2nd year too, but when Lili was the one to go into the vault, R switched over to Lili being their main candidate in 3rd year.)
i think its usually when they get to the 4th vault that things get complicated.
even R doesn’t know the exact location and has to rely on a student finding it for them. the only thing they know is that it’s underground near or literally under Hogsmeade. that’s why people can apparate out of the vault.
usually, vault 4 is where people die or get trapped. either they die facing the dragon, can’t do legillimancy and get trapped in the antechamber and then killed by the dragon, or they get in and touch a portrait and get trapped in it. maybe a few people have made it out, but not many
no one in recorded history has ever made out alive from the 5th and final vault
...yea. that’s it for now.
some things I still need to figure out:
who and what R exactly are
why the vaults were created
what the treasure is at the end (did the games ever say? idk i’ll make my own thing i guess if they don’t reveal it soon. bc according to the old head writer one of the first things they did was decide what was in the last vault, but like. who knows if they’re going to still follow the old plot ahahaha)

Fixing Bionicles species problem Part 1: Inhabitants of Stelt
(This post is part of a headcanon series where I try to tackle Bionicles issues regarding how the series is rather infuriatingly vague with its worldbuilding surrounding most non Matoran and non Makuta species in the Matoran Universe by expanding the lore of those other species. The introduction to the series is here, while the masterlist for every post in this project is found here)
Soo, lets start this series relatively simple by tackling a species (or multiple species) we actually DO have some vague information on, that being the inhabitants on Stelt. Because we have some information on them already, this is less coming up with new ideas and more just ironing out the concepts we have.
Stelt is in my opinion one of the more interesting underdeveloped locations in the Matoran Universe. This is due to how the island has a very specific set of hierarchies: There’s an upper class of warrior-king like rulers and a lower class of workers. Yet at the same time theres an unrest due to the constant infighting for power of the higher class. This makes Stelt an interesting warrior like society.
So first things first:I do like to divide the steltians into two main species, those being the upperclass Steltian Rulers (like Sidorak and Voporak) and the lowerclass Steltian Bruisers (like Krekka). These species are LOOSELY connected to each other from a biological standpoint, as the bruisers were designed by the Great Beings to serve as workers both in general but especially for Steltian Rulers. Neither of the Steltian species have any direct biological connection to other/relation to species. The Steltian Rulers were just one of the many creations by the Great Beings that could serve a purpose as leaders that saw the different civilizations in the world functioned and communicated with each other. That being said Steltian rulers do interact with other ruling/leader species as not only did they fight against others for dominance they also founded alliances and bonds with them, such as the “marriage” between Sidorak and Roodaka.
So for physical traits, both species are among the taller species of the MU, bruisers being among the tallest as well as rather bulky. What makes Steltian Rulers interesting is that they are among few species with a similarish build and purpose that is NOT reptilian in any fashion, instead resembling more a humanoid creature that could be seen as bull like thanks to its horns (no relation to the Artakha/Karzhani Bulls or Kanera rahi tho). Both species have small variety in height/build. Both species are monosex (read no sexual dimorphism/clear differences like say Vortixx have) and while they can be of different genders, most steltians are male (still need to iron out my specifics on how gender and sex function in MU but that’s another post for another day).
As for their characteristics and traits, rulers are normally rather territorial and prideful, although they can work with others. Because of their culture and territioral nature they tend to fight against each other, although they do have alliances/clans. Each clan has their leader that’s the most respected member of the clan. Betraying clan leaders is seen as a crime that can lead to exile or even worse. Bruisers are more brawn than anything else, although it should be noted that not every Bruiser is as stupid as Krekka.
For their roles in society, Steltian Rulers were in all sorts of roles from commanders in armies to informants to salesmen. Usually the roles demanded some kind of socialization and/or. Steltian Bruisers on the other hand were warriors and workers. They served as bodyguards, guards, fighters/soldiers and other similar works. They also did hard laborous tasks that few other species were capable of doing.
For characters who are members of the species, Sidorak and Voporak are Steltian Rulers, much like in canon. I also may make one of the Barraki into one (most likely Kalmah or Mantax) although that will be discussed when I get to my ideas regarding the Barraki warlords and what species they belong to.
Besides Krekka, I also like to headcanon the dark hunter Gladiator is a Steltian Bruiser, as he is a strong fighter who orginated as a slave from Stelt. There isn’t anything that suggests Gladiator NOT being a bruiser, so him being a bruiser works well with his character (yes I know his design isn’t similar to Krekkas but thats not something small design rework cannot fix + as said I do hc the bruiser species looking rather diverse soo).
It should be noted that despite their name the Steltian species do exist in other parts of the MU: some Steltian rulers live on other islands either as leaders or as traders/informants/warlords while bruisers are used all over the MU by numerous individuals and factions. It should be also noted that Stelt does have other species than the two main ones. It’s just that Rulers and Bruisers are Stelt natives. Most non-natives belong to the lower class.
So here’s my thoughts on the Steltian species. Feel free to reblog, comment and give feedback/thoughts, I greatly appreciate those. Feel also free to comment on the structure I made for this post as I do want to improve this.

.This is such a belated answer, but I’m not impressed by the Grail Knight :| There’s more under the cut if you want some ramblings because I never get to talk about Vermintide on here because where’s the fandom??? :).
.I did all the challenges (apart from the 100 missions) because it’s very difficult to quickplay and get Kruber nowadays, and I play a lot with people who main Markus. And I’m a slutty slutty Saltzpyre main. Which still shocks me to this day, because I was a terrible Vicky in V1, and I only recently (a few months ago?) started playing Saltzpyre because... I actually don’t know why. And I spent a lot of time complaining about the Zealot because I couldn’t figure out a good build for him, because the advice I got was ‘build him for criticals’ which is terrible advice. But look at me now, max stacks and thrilled about it. I love him :).
.The Grail Knight is fun to play, and he’s pretty good considering you’re generally going to look like a massive arsehole if you’re the last man standing because your severe lack of gun meant everyone got grabbed and you can’t save anyone because you’re only range is about a meter radius around yourself. He’s squidgy as hell, you’re like two hits and down, and you’re fucked if you don’t have someone with good aim and long range on your team. But then again, trying to get other people to take out the specials before they’re licking out your soul by highlighting and using the social wheel is hellish in itself. Please, it’s a team game, please.
.The new weapons are alright, I hate shields entirely so, you know, but the longsword is pretty fancy with the riposte. And realistically, you’re kind of bound to having to have a shield as a second weapon if you want to be able to reliably take out Rattlings and Flamethrowers without having to backtrack and hide until they come to you. Without knockback or a dash he’s sort of really risky to use a slow weapon with too, especially if you’re crowded or staggered; it’s not like you can block and use his special either.
.He kind of makes the Shade even more redundant though, specifically with his double special thing and a little tasty purple in his hand. Ah those were the days; the ineffable panic when a monster turned up and nobody was the Shade so you had to slog out a monster battle with a unavoidable horde rocking up once or twice. Granted that was like the beta days... And now pretty much everyone has a monster killing tactic. Which is better, I guess? Less teamwork, less kiting, more competitiveness on who can kill the boss fastest.
.The design seems out of place as well, not that I know much about Warhammer lore, but everyone else seems kind of... Ah I don’t know the word for it, but they all fit together and then the Grail Knight is all bright and shiny, even the portrait for him seems something extra. I suppose it’s meant to be like that, but it just looks like he’s the main character in the anime kind of thing, haha. Maybe that’s just because I’m wearing headgear that means Vicky has mud smudged all over his face :).
.Aside from that, the dialogue? Every time he whips out peasant I want to scream. I don’t understand why Markus, a man who deeply respects Victor, has started calling him that and has absolutely no issue with anyone else. It stresses me out so much. I hate it :). I don’t care if he drank some stinky ass pond juice, that boy needs to learn some respect. I suppose it’s fitting that I’m a Saltzpyre main and I’m salty as fuck about this :).
.It’s also the fact that Markus was a farmer, and he was a peasant, he was very poor and this new entitlement is making him act like a dick. Sure he’s fancy and he likes his coin and feathered caps, but he’s still a bloody farm boy, doesn’t matter how many gilded cups he shoves up his arse.
.Last time I was in Bretonnia, shut up, Markus.
.However, it does fit quite nicely into that classic Heir/Servant sort of trope for my own little Kruberzpyre HCs and AUs, maybe there’s some redemption in the end.
.Also he’s a heretic, sorry, Sigmar and them lot only for my boys thank you.
...
.I played a few more days after writing this and I’ve decided I don’t actually like the Grail Knight at all. He’s really not the kind of character I play, he’s slow with no range, he’s strong but there’s hardly any point in all that power if all the enemies are dead before you get there (which brings up the conundrum of, do I stick with my team to help them (risking being overwhelmed by a horde) or do I run to kill the horde before they’re even close (risking a teammate being grabbed and way too far away to save)?) and who needs that heavy of a special attack when monsters aren’t even that big of a deal anymore?.
.In comparison to the other three classes Kruber has, I’d say it’s third out of four, and the only reason he’s not fourth is because Fatshark have butchered the Huntsman so much that I can’t stand to play him, and I can remember the days where I would clock two- if not three- times as many kills as everyone else with ease, and now it’s a struggle to survive as him. Mercenary will always be the best Kruber, and the Foot Knight takes second just because he’s fun as fuck to play, even if he’s not viable for cataclysm. (Granted I can’t play Kruber or Bardin in Cataclysm lmao.).
.In essence, I’m disappointed, and I‘m worried about what the next classes are going to be for the other characters, (but I am intrigued to see how they match the Grail Knight’s boon system) and, if it’s turning into one of those games that’s kind of, not pay to win, but pay to get stronger stuff. (Eg. the weapons you receive in DLCs are marginally better than those in the base game, which, has that been sorted now? I’m still just using Vicky’s great sword.) Because though I dislike the Grail Knight, I can see why people might grasp for the boons he gets that can give health regeneration, power increases, and damage taken decreased etc.
.TL:DR: I don’t like the Grail Knight and doing 100 missions as him is going to kill me :).

THE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE; Mun & Muse - Meme.
fill out & repost ♥
Tumblr media
Mun note: I’m gonna put this below the cut cause it’s a biiiig tag. But if you do read it, hmu honestly cause I’ve love to chatting.
And if you do it? Let me know! I love learning about people’s connection to their muses, new or old.
My muse is:   canon / oc / au / canon-divergent / fandomless /
Is your character popular in the fandom?  YES / NO.
Is your character considered hot™ in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK.
Is your character considered strong in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK (Mixed impressions depending on who you ask and how you ask it I reckon.)
Are they underrated?  YES / NO.
Were they relevant to the main story?  YES / NO.
Were they relevant to the main character?  YES / NO / THEY’RE THE PROTAG.
Are they widely known in their world?  YES / NO.
How’s their reputation?  GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL.
How strictly do you follow canon?
OG Canon, By default, up until Zack’s canonical death, I follow canon very muchly. (That doesn’t mean I’m not open to earlier plotted divergence though!) If the overall plot ends with death, then I’m alright with that, I love the handing on of the torch from Angeal to Zack to Cloud. My goal is to never minimize that. But for interactions beyond the end of Crisis Core, I have two particular verses that I absolutely adore based on already established lore and my own head-canons for how Zack would continue.
OG Canon Remake Canon, while it’s nice for options and I don’t mind it, on a technical front I think it weakens the ongoing plot for other characters who then wouldn’t have been forced to grow so much themselves. I enjoyed the remake, but regarding Zack it’s not my cup of tea. I’ll write remake by request, but it’s not my default.
SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutual.
His genuine care for those around him with unrelenting selflessness is both heartwarming -and heart-wrenching.
Zack’s journey from naivety about the world and events around him to recognizing the harm of the organization he’s been directly a part of. He grows in both substance and maturity as he’s increasingly forced to reckon with reality.
Chasing after an idea which is realized but not how he once imagined it.
While Zack is strong, he’s most certainly not the strongest. I enjoy playing with weakness.
Almost relentless optimism. How he pushes onward to continue trying to pick up the pieces. Additionally as such a genuine character and I hope that love comes through in my portrayal.
Look. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But on a personal my muse front, despite my love for him I love putting him in situations where I get to break him down to build back up again because that’s his strength as a character.
Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).
His early naivety and blind loyalty to ShinRa. (IMO tho, you gotta have a ‘from’ in order to have a ‘to’)
Puppy goofy himbo dummy. (At least, that’s how some people see him.)
Almost relentless optimism.
Some feel he draws away from Cloud’s story.
Just-
Look again.
What inspired you to rp your muse?
Have you ever had a time when you’re watching or playing something and there’s just a character you really identify with like, not just ‘oh, me’ - but beyond that in an almost scary way? For where I was in life and what I was going through, Zack was exactly that for me, and I fell in love with how kept pushing through.
So that was four years ago, and I RP’d him privately within friend groups. Said friends of course moved on from the fandom and I just quietly always wanted to come back to him, there were so many things I’d come up with that I hadn’t gotten to using yet in writing.
So late last year when a friend decided to get into FF7 I made my blog(s) to join them. :3 I did go on hiatus when 7R came out to avoid spoilers as I didn’t have access to a console through the lockdown in my country to play, but I’ve finally returned. (And now you have like a million blogs shgjfjkasghfd.)
What keeps your inspiration going?
On a personal note, Zack’s been an intrinsic part of my life for the past four years. Even when friend groups moved on from the fandom in waves coming and going, he’s never really gone from my life because I live in a fairly small country and he’s one of two cosplays I’m known for here in con/geek circles. (I’ve even Cosplayed him for an official event! <3)
On a writing front, honestly, as I said before, I love the way he keeps on keeping on no matter what’s thrown at him. I don’t want his journey to end. I want him to fall again and again but also to conquer those shortcomings and rise stronger.
That doesn’t have to make him the strongest in body, but in mind that makes him a personal hero for me at least so he’s forever an inspiration. Despite the labels applied to his dream, (See my URL) the pursuit as such defines him admirably.
Some more personal questions for the mun.
Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.
Do you think you give your character justice?  YES / NO.
Do you frequently write headcanons?  YES / NO. (I have a terrible habit of keeping most of em in my head, but they do exist. I’m trying to get better at posting them casually. I know they're good at helping prospective RP partners work out openings for interactions. ;; )
Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES / NO. (Honestly this is usually what happens when I do try to do a HC post, It becomes a drabble incorporating it instead. Whoops?)
Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day? YES / NO.
Are you confident in your portrayal?   YES / NO.
Are you confident in your writing?  YES / NO.
Are you a sensitive person?  YES / NO.
Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?
Criticism and Critique. Boy oh boy. That’s gonna be a pass, please.
Unsolicited criticism sucks. That’s not what I’m here for, nor many of us I expect. Miss me with that anxiety spike. I’ve done study in writing for films. I know a lot of technical stuff. But I also enjoy switching that off and allowing things to happen. I’m also a performer, and the the improvisational and spontaneous reactionary side is just as important as the plotted. I’m here for fun to explore what I want with other like minded people. Not for criticism.
‘Hey have you thought about ___’ - that’s okay. If we grow together, cool, that’s great! In fact, it kinda leads into the next question.
Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?
Yeeee! Please. Just be aware I’m sometimes slow with my inbox though I am getting better at this!
If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?
Unless it’s something that clashes between our two muses like a death or lack-thereof, or important shared-background things that needs discussing, I don’t think there’s much reason for it to be brought up. My headcanons exist for the general purpose of ‘without outside influence, this is my default.’ - that’s it. Sometimes they just aren’t relevant.
If it’s simply ‘I don’t like this this idea’ see the next answer.
If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?
If someone does, please don’t tell me. You can go write him yourself or find another closer to how you perceive him. My portrayal is my own, and I don’t need to conform to your idea of what Zack would do or say. Neither of us need to waste energy on this.
If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?
If it’s my muse, fine. But don’t get aggressive at me about it. I’m also a Genesis mun, so I get the rivalry. But cool your jets.
Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?
Sure. In fact please. Honestly, @ RP partners, I don’t mind if you quietly fix em yourself. Dyslexia’s an uphill battle. I’ll often edit posts after the fact if I notice my own mistakes, so sure. But @ Readers, please don’t get at my RP partners grammar. This is consent for my writing, not theirs. Though also don’t be a pick-apart grammar police just to get to me. Have some sense about it. ;)
Do you think you are easy going as a mun?
I can be very talkative. Honestly if that surprises you despite my choice of muses with Zack and Gen then gaia help you. So uh, heads up on that. If I haven’t talked to you yet, the key word is ‘yet’ - I’m just working out where to start or for something to react to.
That’s about it, congrats for filling out!
Tagged by:  @lifedxbt tagged me for returning from hiatus so I should probably do this. :p Tagging: Uhhhhh, it big. Do if want? Yay. (It took me two hours)

hi! i don't know if you accept hc requests, and if you don't, thats completely fine! but i was scrolling through your tumblr and saw you're autistic. so my mind went; you're autistic, i'm autistic, and we both stan shouto. so? autistic shouto! if you'd rather not do this i completely understand! if you do want to write some, i'd really appreciate it if you could include what his meltdowns are like, his special interests are, and other stuff autistic people know personally. thank you so much!
>>> i stg my anons y'all are *clenches fist* so good
first let's address the elephant in the room. shouto always knew there was something different about him but we all know that end**vor would never had let any of his kids get tested for disabilities. shouto had no fucking clue he was autistic until he got into highschool where a few of his classmates were loud and proud about being autistic and it kinda just,,,dawned on him. like "hey i do that sometimes" or "hey i relate to that a lot" and then he would ask questions, like "do you ever feel...?" or "do you ever just do this...?" and eventually he kinda just went "well shit, i think i'm autistic"
i think maybe at some point he brings this up to some of his closest friends in class, like midoriya and iida, and he's super nervous about it because the whole concept is new to him that "hey, i'm not crazy or weird, this is just how some people are and that's okay!" so they go to get him tested because he wants to be 100% sure (that's just how he is) and yep, he's autistic, and they're all just so supportive and welcoming and it's a nice thing to finally be able to place a name to all the things he experiences
and onto those experiences: his triggers and meltdowns. i feel like shouto has two different kinds of meltdowns—the loud and manic and all over the place ones, and the silent, unemotive, non-responding ones. the loud ones are more anger and panic driven, whereas the silent ones are the more sad and exhausted ones.
like say, all day his senses have been just on blast. he can't really do anything about it at the time, so he just deals with it until he finishes the day but then at the dorms, everyone's bothering him (not on purpose of course) and it just becomes too much too quickly and he just shuts down. like automatically he stops talking, doesn't respond, it's complete shut down mode and he just can't deal with anything.
or on the flip side, something's frustrating him, someone says something that makes him extremely upset, his day just goes to shit but more stuff just keeps happening and happening and he kinda just loses control of himself for a bit. it's pure rage just shouting and tears and it's a mess, and of course he doesn't mean it when he lashes out at someone but having meltdowns of that level can be so difficult to control. it typically ends with him in a puddle of tears which sucks but you know how it is (he needs his alone time anyway, recovering from a meltdown can be hell)
i also feel like some of his main triggers are not only the sensory-based ones, but also things like the sound of a teakettle whistling because of certain things that happened in his youth, or the sound of someone stomping around outside his door, because it reminds him of training, the calm just before the storm. there are a few more that a bit harder to combat, like maybe not his own fire but fire being used against him, or extreme heat suddenly out of nowhere.
oh my god i just thought of this but what if soba is his samefood? oh my god soba is 100% his samefood. it's listed as his favorite food but you know every single chance he gets he will choose soba over everything. also he is definitely one of those kids that cuts the tags off literally everything he owns. his clothes don't have tags, he literally rips them all off the moment he buys them.
as for special interests, i'm not entirely sure to be honest! i know in one panel of the manga sero mentions barrowing the next manga in a series from shouto, so that kinda implies he owns all of them, which could be a good canidate! like he knows literally every bit of lore for the manga and participates in online fandom for the manga and just let's it consume him because special interests are the best. or maybe he just really likes aquatic animals he just thinks they're neat and then BOOM! it becomes one of his special interests. can you imagine, someone in shouto's general vicinity says anything about an obscure aquatic animal and he, having accidentally inserted himself into the conversation, literally infodumps about how that specific aquatic animal lives in this type of environment, and how cool it is that it has these specific habits that a creature like it shouldn't possible have, and on and on. honestly his friends probably find it endearing because seeing him so engaged and interested in something he likes is a win for everyone
okay so you know how todoroki is notorious for taking naps and being tired all the time? he's just socially exhausted 100% of the time and permanently tired as a result. this boy really gets out of school and immediately takes a nap. he almost dozes off during lunch because food is good (soba, of course) but so is sleep. this kid really spends a decent amount of time thinking about what a fat nap he's gonna take when he gets to his dorm.
in all seriousness though, he probably does get super socially drained very quickly. some people have the capacity for all that socializing, but he is not one of those people. at most he can take a little more than an average school day before he has to have a few hours to himself to recharge, and if he doesn't get that chance he gets progressively more and more shut in on himself because that's just too much people, man.
he's maybe also someone that has trouble with social cues. he gets it, but at the same time he just doesn't pick up on them sometimes. he won't realize that someone is waiting for his input, or that someone is upset with him or why. he works on it a lot because living in a single building with nineteen other kids his age has taught him that, despite his best efforts, it's not going to be easy to just do that. his friends do nudge him along, just to help him out, and he appreciates it sometimes because honestly? social cues can be real hard to read.
that's really all i can think of at the moment, but if i think of more i'll be sure to make another post! thank you for sending me this wonderful, absolute godsend of an ask, i'm super sorry if it wasn't exactly what you wanted, but i tried my best! thank you again for your ask anon! <3
(also, never be afraid to send in hc requests! i'm not 100% certain i'll be able to answer all of them, but i'll try to answer as many as i can!)

oh god after last time i really did think i was done but i must have unlocked some new level of hell because here we go, here we go, lost boys hcs PART 3!!!!
so ummmmm michael... is sort of dumb.
like, ok, specifically??? i think he’s got a higher than average emotional intelligence, but he’s just one of those kids who’s bad at school. there’s some hints of this in the movie: when michael is telling sam that he can’t tell lucy about the vampirism thing, sam’s line is that it’s “not like getting a D in school, mike!”, implying that hiding that kind of thing is something the two of them have been over before, and a deleted subplot has him repeatedly insisting to lucy that he’s going to drop out of school to get a job and help her pay for things.
tbh i think he’s got that classic “child of divorce” thing going on. he feels like a burden on sparse resources and can’t stand the thought of wasting his days in school, where he doesn’t even want to be. he wants to help his mom! he gets a job for he so he can do that! what a good, sweet boy!!!
hmmm. dyslexic michael, anyone? like, i was going to say that he was particularly vexed by math & science, but the more i think about it, the more i’m leaning toward him maybe just being disinterested in those subjects, even though they’re the ones he’s better at, while english and history (but particularly english) really piss him off because studying takes so goddamn long.
so he gets like, C+/B- in math and science, consistent C- in history, and wavers C- to D+ or even lower in english.
he’s so polite to his teachers that they help him when they can though, especially because they know he’s trying so hard, but he’s just not entirely gifted at this sort of stuff.
the worst is when he has to keep his grades up to stay eligible for sports--that pressure just makes everything seem so much worse.
i think michael plays some of everything. he’s like, some kind of guard on the football team, not particularly their star player or anything, but i think he’s also got a starter position on the basketball team, and he is the star pitcher on the baseball team.
physical stuff just comes easier to him than academic stuff, you know?
his high school girlfriend was a cheerleader, but they weren’t that serious. she was a kind of preppy girl, a little vapid, and it felt to michael like they only really dated because they were supposed to. breaking up with her kind of led to michael’s attraction to star; he saw her on the boardwalk and she looked like she dressed for herself and she was outwardly enjoying her time at the concert--plus, you know, she’s really pretty.
he hates to admit it, but michael’s favorite classes in school were the home ec classes that his guidance counselor suggested he take. he took shop first, which was okay, but really, what he liked to do the most was the cooking and sewing shit. when he joins the lost boys, he kind of “takes over” these roles from star (who had been pressured into acting the mother for all these assholes who could be her great grandfathers, easily), and it turns out that he’s a lot better at that stuff than she is.
guess he was always kind of training to be david’s bitch after all.
the guys stop ribbing on him once he shows them how he can fix their clothes and shit, though. goddamn assholes.
michael’s main circle of friends in highschool was made up of other jocks, and like with his girlfriend, they weren’t super close. he often got excluded from stuff because he would insist he couldn’t do something or other on account of his mom needing him home that night, or he would get pissed at them for making fun of sam.
michael said family comes first, fuckers!
he did drink and smoke and shit like that back in phoenix when he knew he wouldn’t be missed at home, though. he’s not a goody two shoes, really, he just didn’t want to make things harder than they were for his mom.
one day he did come home drunk, and he’ll never forget how upset lucy looked. he still doesn’t feel like he’s made that up to her. ouch.
one of the guys michael hung out with, probably the closest michael had to a “best friend” was a dude named declan who he’d known since elementary school. declan as the only one of the jock guys who didn’t really hold it against him when he’d skip out on stuff, and the only one he ever even thought about telling the divorce shit to, although in the end, he chickened out of actually doing it.
like i said, they weren’t best friends or anything, but they could have been, y’know?
one of the less nice dudes in his group (probs one michael got in fights with often) started dating michael’s girlfriend about a week after he moved. michael wasn’t really pissed by the time he found out about that; he had way bigger problems to worry about by then.
there was a guy that michael saw around who was kind of a beatnik loner outcast and almost definitely a fag. he liked shakespeare and oscar wilde and probably drew pretty things in the margins of his notebook, and the guys that michael hung out with trashed on him pretty much constantly. michael himself, however, had kind of a thing for the guy: he thought he was cool and would ask when he could to see what he was working on.
you know how michael acted around star at the very beginning of their association? that’s pretty much how he was around this dude. local bi disaster is bi.
the guy (i was going to say fuck it and name him after the guy who i’m sort of basing him on from peggy sue got married, but guess what my fucking luck is, that dude’s name is michael. jfc. let’s call him charlie) thought michael was just there to make fun of him like the others did, but he eventually, he might have come around to trusting that mike really was just interested in his art.
maybe they made out or something before charlie eventually pushed back against him because he didn’t want to get fucking murdered by michael’s friends for making him queer if they got caught
michael always felt like he should have pushed harder to have some sort of relationship with charlie, but once he moves to santa carla, there’s no use in thinking about it anymore.
unlike michael, sam did have a close circle of friends at school, even though he wasn’t as classically “popular” as his brother.
it was probs this reason that made him take the move a lot harder than his brother did.
sam, also unlike michael, was/is really good at school. he’s super skilled at memorizing dates & facts (just look at him rattle off semi-obscure superman trivia lol), and pretty talented at writing to boot. he doesn’t like math as much, but if he works at it, it comes to him pretty quickly.
gifted kid perks™
being that everything came easy to sam, and that he didn’t do any sports like michael did, he had a lot of downtime to read books and comics, keep up w/ pop culture, and hang out with his nerdy friends who liked to do the same. he was even in a d&d group
his character was an elf rogue.
it’s about gay rights
re: sports, it’s not that sam couldn’t be athletic, just that he didn’t ever really want to be. he used to do little league to be like michael and as a concession to his father, but really, he was always put in the outfield, and at the end of the day he would just rather read or watch tv than stand out in the hot sun playing this game he didn’t care about.
when they were little, michael trained himself to get better at reading so that he could read stuff to sam when their parents were fighting or their mom was away. he remembered how his parents (in better times) had read to him, and he knew it made sam feel better, so he put aside his difficulties and discomfort to read to his brother before bed.
the easiest things to read for him were comic books (he had some batmans and supermans and even a few wonder womans, although it wasn’t all superhero stuff. he also had richie rich and, of course, archies), which kind of sparked sam’s love for them--they were something he shared with his brother. <3
i’m thinking sam’s nerd club was the prototypical “mostly boys who never talked to a girl in their lives” type thing, but at the same time i’d like to imagine that at least one of them had a pretty brash (and nerdy) sister who pushed her way into the club, winning their respect by doing what sam did to frog brothers, only with star wars lore.
also, i’m kind of picturing a shy girl from their school who sam takes under his wing when she’s getting bullied, only to find out that she’s really into that stuff too.
she’s part of their d&d campaign; she plays a badass orc barbarian woman and consistently has the best luck with the dice.
the girl is almost definitely a lesbian, but sam asks her to homecoming and stuff like that so that they’ll both have dates; they’re basically each other’s beards.
Gay Rights.
one of the only ways michael could ever really relate to his dad was when they played baseball and the dad taught him Sports™ things, so sam not being at all interested in that stuff made him kind of a disappointment. even still (or maybe for that reason), michael was always the mama’s boy, while sam spent a long time desperate for his dad’s approval.
maybe bc michael and lucy tried really hard to protect him from just how shitty their dad really was, to be honest.
speaking of michael and sam’s dad, i’ve been doing a lot of thinking about him, and now i’ve got Opinions.
contrary to what i guess is the general fandom consensus (at least from what i’ve seen? but my scope might not be that big regarding this character, so if i’m wrong, i’m wrong lol) regarding the dad, i can’t see him being particularly abusive physically.
however, given how sweet and agreeable lucy is, i get a sense that there must have been something REALLY insurmountable in their relationship to make her decide that divorce was the only option. the way i see it, michael and sam’s father started as one of those anti-establishment punks who eventually grew up and just... snapped back the other way entirely to end up as the establishment himself.
main justification for this is that scene w/ michael and star; he doesn’t just refer to his mother being an ex-hippie, he refers to his folks. plus, i mean, there must have been something about the man that endeared him to lucy, right?
so, over the course of their marriage, the guy goes from being a radical dreamer type with maybe some kind punk rock aspirations to being like.... reagan’s “moral majority.”
he starts totally stomping down his old dreams and, in the process, mocking lucy for holding onto anything from their past (you know how she told sam part of the reason she divorced him was that “he never believed in the closet monster”? that was a symptom tbh). i imagine that this, in itself, was soul crushing, but what was really the last straw was when he started in on michael and sam: getting mad and telling michael that he wasn’t going to make it in the MLB and that he had to get his shitty grades up if he wanted to amount to anything (only making him hate school even more lbr), and openly disliking sam’s rejection of sports and stuff in favor of his comic books and MTV.
before the end, i think michael got in a lot of fights with his dad when he’d make passive-aggressive comments at sam for not being enough of a man.
who made you the fucking authority on that, huh?
if he was ever actually physically violent with anyone, it was probably michael during these fights, or mayyyybe even lucy when she’d step in.
eventually, something just tips lucy’s goddamn scales, and she snaps and goes out right then and there to file for divorce. they never saw the point in signing a prenup or anything back then, y’know, so without really fighting for it, lucy wasn’t going to get anything in the divorce.
she doesn’t. they leave arizona with just about the clothes on their backs.
if anyone actually fought against the divorce proceedings, honestly i think it was the dad. he had this idea of his respectable nuclear family, and, even though he was basically an emotionally neglectful POS to his sons, he hated the idea of his wallstreet suit-type coworkers coming to know that his home life was anything less than perfect.
as a last ditch effort, he probably tried to win lucy back at the very last minute, even twisting her arm in an attempt to get her to stay for the boys’ sake, but he clearly no longer knows what attracted her to him in the first place, and the “effort” just makes her sad.
in her mind, she’s already gone by then, you know?
finally, he just ives up and signs the divorce papers. for a hot second it really fucks him up; he goes in to work unshaven and haggard, he’s back to eating like a bachelor, his heart isn’t in what he’s doing. this isn’t about grief over losing his family, though, is the shitty thing. not really. instead, he’s just dealing with uncertainty over how to remake his image.
unfortunately, that’s about as much karma as their dad gets. by the time lucy, sam, and michael are gone for good, he finds it’s easiest to just pretend that they never happened. lucy didn’t demand it, but he sends the occasional bare bones childcare check in the mail and feels like he’s the goddamn father of the year or something, and meanwhile, he remarries a woman that’s both younger and more conservative than lucy, sooner or later fathering a son with her.
lucy isn’t cruel; she doesn’t want the boys to be totally cut off from their father, and even though they both pretty clearly sided with her in the divorce she offers him visitation rights and partial custody (saying that they could stay with him at least every summer and for whatever other holidays he wanted), but he mostly rejects this.
when the boys try to call him to ask, he gives them a noncommittal answer about them maybe visiting next summer, after they’ve all gotten settled in.
they pretty much stop calling after that.
remember how i said michael has an above-average emotional intelligence? he’s definitely the one who helps lucy through the divorce the most. he picks up on the signals she sends about when she needs help and when she needs space, and chides sam for pushing her too hard every now and then.
sam, on the other hand, is definitely a good kid who cares about his mom a lot, but he’s a little more selfish and has a harder time acting like he’s got no problem leaving phoenix for her. the only real fights the two of them get into before all the vampire mess are centered around sam not being sympathetic enough to lucy and michael getting onto him for it.
i think that their dad might end up being a much better father and husband for his new family, and when the eventually visit him long enough to realize this, michael and sam... aren’t sure what to think.
like, they’re glad he’s not repeating the same mistakes he made before, but it’s not fair, is it? to see your little half-brother get the father you always wanted but never got.
their new stepmom is a sweet lady, though. she really does want to try and welcome sam and michael into the family. sam, michael, and their dad all try, but in the end they find it uncomfortable, and the boys know it’s just a facade on all sides to make her happy.
everyone is a little bit relieved when the boys just give up and go back to santa carla.
when michael meets the lost boys (& subsequently learns about dwayne’s past with jasper and, you know, the total boner david has for him, and oh yeah, the fact that these guys are kind of universally gay asf), his only experience with gay shit had been his closeted fumbling with charlie and like, negative stereotypes from media, so he’s kind of amazed by these totally queer dudes who just... take no shit.
like, he gets challenged to a motorcycle race and their leader doesn’t back down at all from the fight michael tries to incite, they take him back to drink and hang out in a semi-nasty man cave. these dudes aren’t what he expects from fags at all (they’re not sissies, and that’s kind of the end of his knowledge about the gay community at that time lol), and he just doesn’t... know what to think about them.
he kind of wants to be them.
like, you know how immediately after seeing them for the first time, michael buys himself a leather jacket and goes to get his ear pierced? there’s a reason for that, babes!
in other news, michael is a cancer and there’s nothing y’all can do about it.
i mean, i have Evidence behind my theory but also i’m just right.
but like, going back to that scene with michael and star again, when he’s introducing himself, you know how he tells her that he was nearly named moonbeam or moonchild or something like that? well, another name for cancers that i’ve seen is moonchildren, after the way cancer is ruled by the moon (and bc the term “cancer” itself has some... other connotations).
in conclusion, lucy really was That Bitch sgdfhghdh

Finally a more detailed account of Edward!
Tumblr media
will include dark themes so a general tw but important read if you write/want to write with my Edward. Feel super free to hmu if you want any details on what could be triggering !
Anything marked with ** & italicized , means these parts are highly adaptable to change or completely dismissed ,  for either partner’s portrayals or canon expanding on edward’s story bc ultimately I do wanna have him as show based.
For those who’ve read the comic:
What i’m keeping / what can be kept or changed:
Most of Edward’s background will follow that of the comic however if these are at odd with your portrayal of a canon character they can be tweaked! Check them “*” ‘s out to see points that I could see needing an adjustment now and then.
What goes:
My portrayal will NOT include Edward returning as Harvey or the awful incestuous thoughts towards Sabrina // Edward is evil enough and that was unnecessary and all kinds of discomfort. yikes. ** Idk if I picked this up wrong but in the comic I think Diana was brought through the wedding ceremony in an actual like trance , and Edward is an evil manipulative piece of shit so there will be plenty of deceit towards Diana and I’m not saying he’s not evil enough to do that but there is a limit to that I am comfortable with when , as I said , Edward is already a constant manipulator and deciever.
For those who haven’t read the comic , here's the bio:
This is SCRAPPY and will possibly remain so because I do not want to tie down a time and location , when there’s so many sources from comics / shows. Obviously CAOS is my main setting for Edward , where he will be based but until they expand on his further I gotta attempt to tie his story together from all these sources and listen , I am not good at this. I am dumb and indecisive. So in the chilling adventures comic Ed is younger than Hilda & Zelda where in sttw and idk possibly other sources Edward is the eldest. Similarly there isn’t a set D.O.B , on the wiki for STTW!Edward he’s born 1342 , no date is given in the chilling adventures comic only what you can guess from clothing / architecture. BUT , look it is damn fun to be free to play with different time periods SO if it’s relevant it can be discussed , if not I’ll leave it vague. In comic book lore he is apparently from New York , the Bronx to be precise! That’s likely to be the case as my default. As a child Edward is a mischievous and in his own words “precocious” child. He adored books , devouring them ravenously and retaining knowledge well. He became an alter boy for the church of night , then under the watch of Father Constant. & an over achieving ( but troublesome ) student at the Academy of Unseen Arts.
After finding a scribbled incantation in one of his copious books , Edward discovered his skills for conjuring and when he tells his friends word gets back to the high priest who encourages Edward as he becomes this conjuring prodigy. Father Constant eventually calls on young Edward to conjure the dark lord for the congregation to inspire faith , encouraging him , bribing him and when Edward has difficulty getting the spell down , beating him. Edward tricks Father Constant by summoning the shapeshifting demon named Empusa instead to appear as the dark lord. It works , and so Edward performs his trick again and again deceiving everyone and climbing the ranks of the Church. Until he only has one man to usurp , Father Constant. Edward gives the high priest’s soul to Empusa and takes the position as high priest. He takes full advantage of what comes with the power and influence. ** Including a brief triste with Madam Satan / Lilith. ( I feel a lot of the details of their relationship would change , if it happened at all IDK ) Though ultimately , guided by some clairvoyant sisters ( NAMED THE WEIRD SISTERS IN THE COMIC ,, jhfierhfrhjhhhh ) , Edward seeks a out a human woman to give him the powerful daughter the sister’s prophesized. He marries a mortal named Diana , which is against the laws of the church of night , but Edward is ever the rulebreaker and he simply calls on Empusa again to masquerade as the the dark lord ( who ofc , grants “his” blessing over their union )
** Based on a pact , agreed to by Diana , she would give up Sabrina to remain within the influence of the witches.
When she breaks the pact and runs away with her daughter , Edward & the coven surround her in the woods , take Sabrina & Edward has Diana committed to an asylum and left her to cruel , inhuman treatment.
** Edward & his sister’s raise Sabrina until she is six , when Hilda and Zelda discover his deceit of the church of night ( passing off Empusa as the dark lord ) , the two decide they will not risk Edward disgracing them and lock him away in the hanging tree / a portal to witch purgatory where Edward now dwells in unending torment
Until …..
v.01. daddy’s home.  ** Through an incantation written by Edward himself and hidden away in one of his old diary’s Edward is returned to the world of the living ( by Sabrina? by Ambrose? By Nick Scratch? Lilith?? Whom knows )
v.02. take my place in hell. ** Like Madam Satan’s role , Edward is pulled from witch purgatory by the dark lord himself , on the condition he joins the efforts to get Sabrina to sign her name in the book.
( more verses / au’s tba when i can articulate myself ajkhefdshjhhhh )
Extras that I either forgot or can’t put an exact time on
( at some point he was terrorized by the sleep demon batibat for weeks , showing him all his deepest fears so vividly he began to lose his ability to tell his dreams from reality but Edward eventually trapped the demon in the Acheron configuration. )
( Faustus Blackwood became Edward’s mentor which he eventually surpassed! )
HCs. / do not have to be interpreted in threads.
Edward DID hold a lot of affection for Diana , even considered he may love her , however love isn’t what’s important to Edward , only his legacy and name take position as his top priority.
In some verses Edward is aware of Harvey’s connection to witchhunters / von Kunkles.
Edward has a soft spot for his sister Hilda
Though he is very connected to Zelda in a complex way , the two are similar in ways and they as a rule can’t seem to hide secrets from each other easily.
Edward is fully aware that Diana had Sabrina baptized in a Christian ceremony BEFORE he signed her name in the book of the beast ( this can be played out a number of ways )
( more tba in tiiiime !! )

Horse plinko?
Oh for the blorbo ask? Since you didn't attach a fandom I'll randomly choose one!
Uuuuh Panfu, Go!!!
Horse Plinko is kinda difficult since a lot of characters I like I don't usually threatingly loom over to throw in a barrell and laugh about it (Sorry Paul Atishon Ace Attorney). BUT I think this is a good opportunity to curse you with unwanted knowledge from when I was a babby on the internet...
So first of all Panfu was a kids' chatting site pretty much exactly like Club Penguin but with pandas, I'm 100% sure it was inspired. It had games and quests to play and two of those quests featured a villain character named Bonez... this might be one of my earliest blorbos ever.
Tumblr media
This guy.
I had NO idea what a fandom was or how to engage with people so I just kinda sat there in my highschool classes all day thinking about this fictional evil panda who captures animals to sell them to a toy factory canonically. (You stop him, it's fine.)
Now the reason I chose him for Horse Plinko... For some child-brain reason I was like omg omg what if... the animals that he captures try to like.. kill him?? I THINK THAT WOULD BE FUNNY YEAH I'LL THINK ABOUT THIS-
DGFJSD THIS is still so funny to me, I imagined the frickin Woobys driving a military tank chASING HIM ACROSS THE FOOTBALL FIELD (A LOCATION INGAME) I WANT YOU TO IMAGINE THIS I THOUGHT THIS WAS PEAK STORY TELLING
Tumblr media
He has a scarf here because I also made him sick so my panda character named snusi could take care of him aww poor bby did the cute animals terrorize u again it's okay
Whenever the moderators were online as the two main characters from the blog to interact with the players -- I think I used to follow them around only to ask them if Bonez was around... if he would also visit one day. Maybe I only thought about asking this and I was too shy BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT I was hoping so much they would have him visit, not realizing that lore-wise this would make no sense because he's evil and unpopular. Why tf would they have someone roleplay him on the servers for people.... They also never responded because they had a massive crowd of people around them at all times making it impossible to have a hint of a conversation. Little me learned a lesson that day that only Popular Blorbo Havers (derogatory) get what they want and that life isn't fair but I'm getting off topic!!!
I think it's not too far fetched to say I also bothered other poor unsuspecting players with a character they forgot about 0.2 seconds after finishing the quests. I hung out in his quest spots all day and was like 🥺 omg bonez I miss u so much I'm sorry that the animals were mean to you and
*GETS HIT BY LIGHTNING* .... Hey let me update my hc real quick that I just made up 5 seconds ago.
So, at the end of the Pokopets quest where Eloise helps you trap Bonez in his own airplane to send him to like.. Antarctica I think??? via autopilot that he can't for some reason turn off (The 1st picture is from that.) his plane actually crashes into the ocean... I love antagonizing good characters but I love the paranormal in fiction even more so!!! His plane shows up on Panfu again one day and everyone is like OH SHOOT HE'S BACK but the it looks all fucked up and not like it should be able to operate, let alone be able to fly back here. It's beat up and full of holes and seagrass And shit gets SPOOKY because Bonez' ghost is haunting it and you have to like uuhh do smth!! Like!!! uhm new quest one final quest for my boy Bonez where he haunts shit!!!! I'm ALMOST embarrassed to tell all this but I sometimes randomly think about it like... huh, I never told anyone, no one knows I like Bonez Panfu and made the funny 2ft tall pets bloodthirsty because I found it so deep when I was 12.
I'm happy to burden you with this knowledge please have a great day idk who you are but thank you!!!!

Survivor Daemons
Here’s a whole bunch of blabber that no one asked for about my Dbd daemon AU, featuring the reasoning behind the forms of the survivor’s daemons and a little about their personalities. Why? Because I can and I felt like typing a whole bunch of stuff that no one will read
There are a lot of additional rules and complications for daemons in trials, and I’m probably going to make a separate post both for that and for the Killer’s daemons (or... current lack thereof), because this got VERY long.
And before we get started, here’s a plug for my currently abandoned fic playing with this concept. Ima get back to it at some point.
First off, I had some limits for survivor forms. Their daemons have to be small, and easy to carry around in a trial. Most of them ended up being birds, with a couple of exceptions. Also, only a couple of the names mean anything- I got almost all of them from a fantasy name generator and just picked one that sounded nice.
Dwight and Zefrita
Zefrita (Zeffie) is a mourning dove, and I chose her form for a couple of reasons. Mourning doves are entirely defenseless against their predators (except for natural camouflage) and are therefore very flighty, anxious birds. They are also known for forming close, lifelong pair-bonds, and since Dwight’s perks are all about teamwork and literal bonds between survivors, that seemed to resonate with him.
Zefrita is a very quiet daemon, and only talks to the other survivor’s daemons (and Dwight, of course). While Dwight stammers and hesitates a lot when he’s flustered or anxious, Zefrita only talks when they have enough conviction about something that she can articulate it clearly. So, it’s a pretty big deal if she says something important- it usually means that it is.
Meg and Skiflit
Skiflit (Skif) is a northern goshawk. I used this analysis to come up with his form, mostly because of the interpretations of loyalty, determination/being goal-driven, and assertiveness, which I all think fit with Meg- or at least, my version of Meg, who’s caring but a bit of a hothead.
Skif talks about as much as Meg does, which is quite a lot, especially in fireside arguments. He’s also the most likely to get physical with the other daemons, whether aggressively or for support/comfort.
Jake and Dancha
Dancha (Dawn) is a raccoon, which I just love for Jake for so many reasons and I was so happy that the form analysis worked out. It really boils down to what he said in the actual fic- they’re highly adaptable/resourceful, conflict-avoidant, and independent animals. Their also curious but in a killed-the-cat sort of way, which seems true to Jake’s character to me.
Dawn tends to let Jake do most of the talking, and really only interacts with the original four survivors daemons, sometimes including Nea and Laurie’s daes if she feels up to it. She and Jake are pretty slow to trust, and even though they feel perfectly comfortable around all the survivors (though they clash with Ace) Dawn keeps her interactions to a minimum to stay in her comfort zone. They don’t have much of any comfort left, after all.
Claudette and Laefertes
Laefertes (Laef) is a barn owl, and I actually think I named him after Laertes from Hamlet for some reason? I think I just had the name stuck in my head, no significance to it. The two traits that really stuck out to me for his form were barn owls having a surprising amount of foresight in caching their extra food and their egg care habits, and the analysis I read also listed owls as being very perceptive, for obvious reasons, which fits well with Claudette’s Empathy (perk and trait) to me.
Claudette and Laef are kind of the greeters of the group, so when someone new shows up at the campfire they do all the explaining and “welcome to a Bad Time” talk. Claudette tends to say more comforting things than hard truths, and Laef compliments her by being the opposite- almost anything out of his mouth is what needs to be said, not necessarily what people want to hear.
Nea and Bayonai
Bayonai (Bayo) is a Siamese cat and listen I have a lot of reasons for it. He’s a cat for obvious reasons- Baker literally describes Nea as catlike in the journal entry- as well as cats being generally friendly, but independent for the most part. Siamese cats in particular are known for being loud attention seekers like no other, and we know that Nea was the epitome of Rebellious Teen (tm) in her day. They also tend to be curious (again, in a killed-the-cat sort of way).
Bayo is my favorite daemon of the bunch, probably because I started writing him first. He and Nea are less counterparts of one another than they are the same person divided into two parts. Bayo has a little more of their caution, but he’s like the friend who is saying “this is a terrible idea, oh my god” while filming it. They have street smarts more than school smarts, but Bayo has a little bit of an edge on Nea when it comes to critical thinking.
Laurie and Aurelio
Aurelio (Ori, which accidentally means they’re Laurie and Ori) is a European robin. His name comes from the Latin word for golden. His form was really hard to find, mostly because the original survivors have just a few canon character traits, whereas Laurie Strode has a whole franchise worth of characterization to sort through. I ended up just using Halloween I and II for my form finding. I used this analysis for Aurelio and I don’t have much to say about it, other than I was relieved to finally find a form that fit.
Aurelio and Laurie are Survivors (tm) in the truest sense of the word, so in my ‘verse they’re kind of dry and cynical. Aurelio tends not to talk very much, and when he does he often says things that are too dark for the conversation he’s contributing to, and is reprimanded by Laurie. They had a perfectly normal human-daemon bond before Myers, but it changed after, and they were never the same.
Ace and Kesina
Kesina (Kess or occasionally Kesi) is an American bullfrog. She’s the only reptile form among the survivors. I’m honestly not even going to say anything else about her form, just link to the analysis because IMO it’s so Ace it hurts. Laid-back is the main trait that I like that I don’t see listed as a major point in the analysis, but frogs are chill as fuck.
Kesina says all the sarcastic and biting things that Ace doesn’t, but in a dismissively calm way that gets a rise out of whoever she’s said it to. Not that he wouldn’t, it’s just funnier if she calls Jake a dumbass in Argentine Spanish than if he does. She and Ace talk to each other almost exclusively in that dialect when they’re being snarky or sarcastic, even if they’re doing the “what do you want to have for dinner!?” routine, because no one can understand what they’re saying and it pisses everyone else off.
Bill and Portril
Portril (no nickname) is a summer tanager, a kind of smallish songbird. Frankly there’s not very much personality lore for Bill out there, even in what Left 4 Dead stuff I tried to dig up, so I went with my personal HC’s for him- grumpy and quiet but altruistic and perceptive old man. Here’s the analysis if anyone is actually reading this, but this is more for my own benefit let’s be real. There’s not a ton of real solid behavior for summer tanagers, but I liked what this person wrote so I went with it.
Bill is quiet and Portril is quieter. Bill contributes a few sentences to the conversation at the campfire every now and then, but the majority of the survivors have never heard Portril say a word.
Feng and Maeslin
Maeslin (Maes) is a numbat (google it), and tbh I should have picked a Chinese-sounding name for him, but I’m too attached to Feng having a daemon she calls Mace to change it. I’d never heard of a numbat before form finding for Feng, but I love how well the weird little things fit with her character. Numbats are specialized eaters and ONLY eat termites. They have to eat 20,000 of the things a day to stay alive. What I get out of that is that the are specialized/single-focus type people, like Feng and her gaming, and work really fucking hard to be good/keep at it.
I haven’t done a lot of thinking about Maes’ personality. I think he and Feng are a Chaotic Neutral disaster duo. He’s a very mobile daemon and tends to climb all over Feng, never staying in one place for too long- it’s a habit he learned very quickly to not bring into trials.
David and Ezriana
Ezriana (Ez) is a magnificent frigatebird and it’s SUCH a shame that she’s not male, because the main reason I picked that form for David is because of the absolute pompous showoffs that male frigatebirds are with that throat pouch of theirs. Frigatebirds are also known for being opportunistically aggressive and basically getting into fights with other species of coastal birds to steal their catches. There’s some more, non-fighty traits that made me decide on frigatebird for Ezriana, but those are really the two main reasons I picked it.
Ezriana is kinda the “kick his ass baby I got yo flower” of the pair, and she always tends to kind of stay out of the thick of it, circling overhead and yelling out insults and encouragement. Her actual personality is pretty laid back when not in conflict mode, and she’s pretty good for conversation around the campfire. Her way of talking is a little more... coherent.. than David, who’s excitable and can get a little carried away.
Quentin and Nynta
Nynta (Nyn, pronounced Nihn) is an earwig. Earwigs are tough little insects and are very adaptable and actually protect their eggs and then care for their young, showing a lot of duty and dedication. I think that fits with what I managed to gather of Quentin’s role in NoES 2010, which I haven’t actually watched. Additionally, fitting into the daemonverse, earwigs are very small, and Quentin keeps Nynta in a lanyard, so that Freddy and no one else has any possible access to touching her.
Nynta never talks, period. No one knows what her and Quentin’s relationship is like, taking into consideration Laurie and Aurelio’s slightly trauma-damaged bond, but everyone knows that Nynta probably doesn’t trust anyone. They’ve never seen her outside of her clear plastic lanyard, which locks from the inside with a one digit combination that only Nynta can open. I imagine she probably settled during the events of NoES 2010.
Tapp and Soliel
Soliel (Sol) is a Florida scrub jay. Scrub jays are committed birds, both to their mates and their territory, and keen and clever observers of what happens in their area and to their things (food caches and stuff). These to me seem like good traits to match a detective’s personality. These birds are also highly specialized to their environment, though, and are unadaptable- that combination of traits makes sense, because Tapp became borderline obsessed with the Saw case in his lore.
Soliel is as focused as her human is, and accepts facts and information readily. Being older than most of the others, she tends not to talk too much unless they’re having an interesting discussion, rather than a time-killing or social conversation.
Kate and Torelian
Torelian (Tori) is a fennec fox. Fennec foxes are super extroverted and sociable animals, and tough critters that are well adapted for going long periods of time without commodities, but not without other people around them. Kate traveled a lot for her music career, but she seems to me like a caring and outgoing person that really connected with her fans. He also matches her aesthetic, and is a cute/attractive form- perfect for a performer’s daemon.
Torelian is as much of a performer as Kate. He can’t play and instrument, but they can sing duets and are, of course, completely in sync at all times. It’s great for cheering up the campfire after rough trials and moments of (extra) hopelessness. He’s a good ear to talk to and offers wholesome advice.
Adam and Samia
Samia (no nickname) is a northern cardinal. I chose the form this morning and frankly I’m tired of resummarizing bird analyses at this point, so here ya go.
I’ve done no character exploration for Samia yet, might edit this when/if I come up with some more for her. Most of the daemons outside the first five or six I’ve done more developing here than otherwise, so we’ll see!
If you got this far you’re my new favorite human, and thank you for listening to my impassioned rambling about my two current hyperfixations mashed into one <3
