It’s not an END but an AND...
It’s been a little more than a year since I have disappeared from here and I think it’s now time for me to officially put an end to my journey on Tumblr.
I started this blog in 2014 when I entered high school to share my love and support for Super Junior. They accompanied me throughout my teenage years  but as time passed and I was advancing in my life I had less and less time to keep up with them and share their news here.
I’m very glad to have done this blog because thanks to it, I met many nice people, I improved my English and Korean, in a way doing it everyday comforted me when I was having bad times and I also learned many things about myself as well as new skills.
Now I’m done with my studies and I recently started working as a freelancer... in the music industry! Actually, the fact I’ve wanted to work in the music industry for a long time has something to do with Super Junior and Kpop in general. Throughout the years in spent listening and supporting Super Junior (and other Kpop artists) I learned many things about the industry that are now helping me a lot with my work.
Finally, I’m also planning to travel to South Korea next year for a whole year. I wish to learn more about the culture, new technologies (like the metaverse and web3) as well as more about the music industry there. It may also be time for my dream of seeing a Super Junior’s concert to come true, who knows!!
Anyway I would like to thanks you all for the love and support you gave to my blog during all this year and the strength I get thanks to you.  And if you’re interested in graphic design/art or if you just want to follow my journey when I go to South Korea you can follow me on Instagram : @leoandyou_design
Thanks again and I wish you all an amazing life! Keep on dreaming because those dreams may actually come true one day :)

------------------------------------------------------------

We all know at this point that the name Astarion is connected to the word "star" (starry or little star).
But Larian decided that they wanted to go all in with the details and they delivered!
The flower you can place on his tomb in the final romance scene (which I think is such a cute and tender gesture and I love his reaction to it), seems to be an Ornithogalum umbellatum, a star-shaped white flower with six petals. Among the plant's many common names, there are summer snowflake, starflower, and star-of-Bethlehem.
Moreover, in the language of flowers, its meanings are related to trauma, mourning, and welcoming pain without repressing it.
According to Doctor Edward Bach (1886 – 1936), these flowers are "For those who find themselves in a state of great anguish due to situations that, in a given period, have caused so much unhappiness", and can be used to help with the aftermath of a trauma, the alleviation of pain and the mourning process.
Edit: every time I see an artist include this flower in their Astarion fanart my heart swells with joy. Love this community

Friendly reminder that the suffering and torment Xie Lian experienced actually made him LESS kind, and the lessons he learned as a result of that pain were that human life is meaningless and compassion is worthless and people don't deserve your help or care or love for them. Xie Lian had to backtrack and reject these new lessons in favor of the old ones he had already known in order to return to being kind.
Xie Lian losing everything he loved and knew, being stripped of his power, autonomy, safety, and community, and being ridiculed and humiliated, did not teach him anything worth knowing. He did not learn any valuable or important lessons from it. In fact, he needed to consciously decide that he wasn't going to let it change him and work to go back to the person he was before all that shit happened in order to avoid turning evil.

Head Advice #1: Everybody’s head is the same size.
Okay, not really, but basically. There’s a reason you don’t have to know your head circumference to find a sunhat. We all have pretty similar head sizes, especially from the visual distance we usually draw characters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only exception to this is babies or children under 10. Those guys definitely have smaller heads! (But did you know our skulls are already over 90% their full adult size by the age of 5?)
Different style choices demand different proportions, but in general, it’s good advice to pick a head size, and stick with it!
Head Advice #2: You can use head size to indicate a character’s size.
Big characters don’t look like average sized people scaled up. And you can’t just scale down to get a small person!
Tumblr media
You can make a character look very big and tall or very very small — even if they are standing alone in a vast white nothingness — just by how how they are proportioned! The most important proportion (in my humble opinion) is their head size. Look me in the eyes and tell me you can’t tell which of these characters are big and which are small.

Head Advice #3: Don’t go shrinking anyone’s head.
The most common head sins I see happen when an artist is trying to indicate (body) size difference in a couple, and use their heads to do it. The result is an image that looks something like this:
Tumblr media
If you don’t want your lovers to look like they belong in different animated tv shows, don’t go shrinking anyone’s head! Use their bodies (hands and feet and bellies and muscles) to show off their size differences.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, that’s all. Having fun giving head. I mean doing head. I mean drawing heads.

fionna's world being represented by a dandelion makes so much sense ... they're weeds. yet people make wishes through them, changing their whole meaning from something meant to be destroyed to something hopeful.
dandelions are also resilient and it makes sense that something associated with them would. you know. perservere despite the destruction caused by the scarab.
but ultimately i think what REALLY made me tear up over this is that dandelions are really boring plants. when you're a kid you blow on them and make your wish but they're not eyecatching or anything but still, fionna's final wish was for her old world to still exist as it was when she left it (> plain and simple. boring even).
like the moment she realized she would lose her friends, and that her friends might forget each other if the world got its magic back, she immediately decided she didn't want it and I think that ties back to the dandelion metaphor so well... like, do you really need magic to be real to find it everywhere? or can you turn something boring into something magical?
