So, just going to try and track/summarize what's going on with me each week so I can find patterns. One pattern I'm pretty sure will emerge is move less=gain weight; move more=lose weight. Walking really seems to help me A LOT on that front, even just walking 2 miles a day helped my weight go down. Unfortunately, every three weeks I get another treatment on this f-ing plantar wart on my big toe and I can't walk or even put on a shoe, for a few days. This time, he added the fun of freezing AND acid, which was extra special! It's been a week and it still hurts, though I did manage to get a shoe on on Saturday, long walks are painful.
My goals right now are simple:
get in 10k steps every day that I can realistically do so without hurting myself/get a shoe on without lots of pain. I'd been getting that done up until Tuesday when I got this treatment.
Continue to eat low carb. I should be tracking more, I run hot and cold with it, but should probably track more consistently.
I feel like the walking, which is mainly a ZONE 2 heart rate activity, is a key to getting the scale to move down. This toe is just making it hard to stay consistent.

❄️ Finding Your Winter Running Motivation ❄️
Hey there, fellow runners! As winter's chill settles in, it's easy to feel the temptation to hibernate rather than lace up those running shoes. But I'm here to tell you that with the right mindset and a dash of motivation, winter running can be an exhilarating adventure. Here's how to keep that running fire burning even when it's cold outside:
1. Embrace the Frosty Beauty: Winter landscapes have a unique charm. The glistening snow, frost-kissed trees, and serene stillness of the outdoors are a canvas waiting to be explored.
2. Set Clear Goals: Whether it's conquering a specific distance, improving your pace, or just staying consistent, setting clear running goals will give you a sense of purpose.
3. Dress Smart: Invest in quality cold-weather running gear. Dressing in layers, wearing moisture-wicking fabrics, and donning warm accessories will keep you cozy throughout your run.
4. Buddy Up: Find a running buddy who shares your winter goals. The company can make those chilly runs more enjoyable and hold you accountable.
5. Mix It Up: Don't be afraid to try new routes or running styles. Trail running, interval training, or even a snowy obstacle course can inject excitement into your winter runs.
6. Reward Yourself: Treat yourself after a run with a warm drink, a cozy blanket, or a hot bath. Knowing there's a reward waiting can be a powerful motivator.
7. Visualize Success: Before you head out, visualize a successful run. See yourself conquering the cold and achieving your goals. Visualization can be a potent motivator.
8. Embrace Hygge: Incorporate elements of hygge into your post-run routine. Light some candles, sip on herbal tea, and snuggle up with a good book or a favorite show.
9. Track Your Progress: Keep a running journal or use a tracking app to monitor your progress. Seeing your accomplishments on paper can be incredibly motivating.
10. Join a Winter Challenge: Many running communities offer winter challenges that can add a competitive edge and keep your motivation high.
Remember, every step you take in the cold is a victory, a testament to your dedication and determination. So, bundle up, step outside, and let the crisp air invigorate your spirit. Winter running isn't just about the miles; it's about the memories, the sense of accomplishment, and the indomitable spirit that keeps you moving forward.
Stay warm, stay motivated, and let the beauty of winter be your running muse! ❄️🏃‍♀️✨
