I reanimated the Vampire Knight outro, Still Doll, with my character Mori, I don’t know where the idea came from but I did it! Sorry for any bad translations but I’m pretty happy with the way it came out.

BLOOD SOIL is the 2nd full album of the Angelico co-ed group Pushing Daises released on November 1st, 2023 alongside their short film by the same name. The album consists of 11 tracks with "Catch me" and "Frostbite" being the title tracks. The group promoted the album for two months, ending promotions with 750,000 copies sold worldwide and 8 music show trophies between the two songs.

The album is entirely self-composed, written, and produced by the members of Pushing Daisies, citing to have very little help from outside forces with this album. A majority of their creative direction for this comeback was under their leader, Zasha, who wrote and directed their short film as well.

Pushing Daisies were styled by Nakyung who drew inspiration from dollcore and the southern gothic aesthetic. Nakyung also did their hair and makeup, which were heavily influenced by dolls and horror movies.

OO1. Biggest moment for them this era was when the Blood Soil short film was aired at the Sundance Film Festivle. Blood Soil would go on to win "Short Film Grand Jury Prize" making them the first Angelico Artist to take home an American based film award. Their reaction to winning the award would go viral as all the members looked stunned and confused, looking around like a mistake had been made before going to accept their award.

OO2. They brought back their beloved reality series "BEYOND THE GRAVE" and ran for ten episodes. The members went on various adventures throughout the show's run such as getting locked in an escape room together, visiting famous haunted locations around the world, undergoing a test to discover if they have any supernatural abilities or sensitivities, gathering around a campfire or in a dimly lit room to share their own ghost stories or paranormal experiences, spending a night at a reputedly haunted hotel, watching their favorite horror movies together, and many more freaky adventures wherever Angelico decided to send the group.

OO3. The group kept their social media activeee during this era! Zasha went live on their YouTube channel where she went over her entire creative process behind Blood Soil and shared personal anecdotes and inspirations behind the lyrics of the album. She read excerpts from her personal diary during this live, showing drawings and sketches of the characters and outfits she envisioned for this project. It was very insightful and intimate experience for fans.

OO4. Nakyung and Elliot were the most promoted members, as usual, the pair becoming Inkigayo MCees which fans ate up. They would go viral for interacting with groups they used to be a part of or were almost a part of. A picture of Nakyung smiling brightly while Sena of Venus side eyes her was a big hit amongst Mysies who know how to take a joke unlike constellations, who didn't find it funny. While introducing STARZIE, Elliot would make a joke about almost being in the lineup, saying: "Here's the group I was rigged out of, Starzie!" And while the members were able to take the joke, Elliot would have to apologize to netizens on his Instagram story later that night.

OO5. That wasn't the only scandal that hit the group this comeback! Yeojun would be spotted leaving a club with Lunarix member Evie, causing a frenzy online and disputes between the group's fanbases. Angelico would swiftly release a statement but would avoid discussing the relationship status of the idols, only addressing that the club they went to was a reputable club and neither one of them engaged in "inappropriate activities". Still, both Yeojun and Evie would release apologies, stating they were close friends and were just hanging out. After this, Yeojun would be notably quiet for the rest of the promotions.

OO6. The group would get matching tattoos towards the end of the promotions, vlogging the whole experience and even sharing the design on their social media for fans to get the same design if they wanted to. The design was a simple daisy with a single falling petal. Many netizens saw this move as inappropriate as it "promoted getting tattoos" to their "young and impressional" fanbase. The group didn't address this stirr through Zasha would post a selfie with her tattoo on her story with the caption "get jobs" which many fans found hilarious.

Jordyn: salvation (my note: 🙄), the American girl dolls she had as a girl (here Josie goes on a tangent about how Tyler tore the head of a doll she was given as a child and Oh Boy do I wish joy had edited that out, especially as Tyler isn’t in jb&ms custody anymore)

All: Jana, also joy (my note: of course the 30+ sistermom of 15 gives getter advice than her teenage sisters lmao) Jana will apparently tell it how it is even if it would hurt the person in the moment

hello fellow members of the tortured poets department.

today i enter into evidence my boy only breaks his favorite toys and analyze it. i’m most excited for this one as i think the running metaphor is a great one and love the details ive already seen. it’s also one of my favorite songs on the album so this was move exciting for me.

previous days: fortnight, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT

this song is probably one of my favorites as it uses a toy metaphor for taylor. she’s already made references to youth and toys with her relationships in the past, notably on lover with inthaf being about regrowing again as a person with her muse. also on cruel summer she refers to the object of her longing as a “bad bad boy, shiny toy with a price, you know that i bought it”. with that line implying many things about that relationship and taylor letting it be something less than what she wants it to be to be with him, i also like to think about the line with the price being fame and her buying it so now she can’t have him.

BUT in this song taylor is referring to herself as the toy!! i love this metaphor for her as with her talking about not seeing herself as human and having constant metaphors about being bought and sold (dorothea) or being picked but only to suffer instead (daylight and clara bow). so her being a toy fit this metaphor, especially with how she’s been recently with eras tour AND leading up to the tour. she was everywhere and was THE hot item. and going back to 2016 being seen with you on her arm meant you were hot shit. so taylor saying “the sickest army doll, purchased at the mall/rivulets descend my plastic smile” hits you like a gut punch because even at her lowest moment ever she was still marketable and family friendly to sell. her sadness can be turned into songs or magazine titles or anything really as long as it makes money for everyone AND it references you’re losing me and could be her at the end of the relationship, having fought for years and was now battered and bruised and heartbroken. BUT if that’s how she was referring to herself back in 2016 where she was fighting for her life trying to make anything work but was chewed up and spat back out, with the added detail of her plastic smile being how taylor says she smiles in her sleep because it’s so natural to her (as we saw in the lwymmd video) it shows that she wasn’t real and was just there for others enjoyment in either playing or destroying her. and with the following line being “cause you should’ve seen me when he first saw me” not only referencing how taylor kept going back to the beginning of the relationship to justify staying so long BUT also saying “i was so worse then so it doesn’t matter how he plays with me.”

but with either affect this song has such BEAUTIFUL imagery. taylor describing him building castles for her doll self to play in only for him to destroy them (building up her expectations of their future but backing out and changing his mind so she never knew if they were in the same page of their future) or them being puzzle pieces that fit together perfect and made a beautiful picture only for him to break it. AND her saying that when you pull her string one of her automatic responses is “he runs because he loves me” which references several songs:

new romantics with “please take my hand and please leave me stranded”

you’re losing me with “now your running down the hallway/don’t you know what they all say/don’t know what you got until it’s gone” (which means that he would constantly put her back in the shelf but come running back to her again and again)

down bad with “how dare you leave me safe and stranded”. so with this automatic response saying he runs (away or toward her) because he loves her is because it’s so deeply ingrained into her from all her relationships and what he kept doing to her. she didn’t think anything was wrong because that’s what was always right.

i specifically love the outro and NEED to discuss it. just, her saying she was willing to stay with him for so long because he actually PLAYED WITH HER. and not just in a “he played with my feelings” but that he actually used her how she was designed. he loved her, built the idea of a future with her, and stole her heart and broke it! and that was more than any other person. because she actually meant something to him. and that thought was enough to keep her going until it wasn’t…

other line parallels i didn’t how to fit in but loved:

“maybe your electric touch could bring this ghost town to life”//“inescapable. not even going to try. and if i get burned? atleastwewereelectrified.”//“‘cause i knew to much, there was danger in the heat of my touch”

“and when i break, it's in a million pieces”//“stole my tortured heart/left all these broken parts”//“breaking down, I hit the floor/all the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting, "more!"

“what a charming saturday/that's when she sees the littlest leaks/down in the floorboards/and she just knows she must bolt”//“i used to switch out these kens, I'd just ghost//rip the band-aid off and skip town like an asshole outlaw”//“i felt more when we played pretend/than with all the kens/'cause he took me out of my box” (AND THIS ONE I LOVE SO MUCH because we all called taylor out being like “hey girl, we know it wasn’t” and this is her saying “THIS IS WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT!”)

Dungeon Meshi rewatch ep 10 notes

so I always play the intro and outro because I love them so much and another thing caught my eye that might be nothing but is there a reason the women and men are reaching up, with Falin and Laios the ones in the center, and then them grasping hands? it feels meaningful anyway

ah it's the frog costumes ep hahahaha

they've reached the stairs they have to take to reach the 5th basement floor, near the orc's settlement (where the orc leader told them the red dragon was seen, hanging out and causing problems)

but the staircase is filled with tentacles so they can't just stroll down lol

Chilchuck is upset bc the tentacles mess with traps making it even harder to disarm them

KENSUKE SHOOK ALERTING THEM AGAIN but Laios didn't react fast enough and poor Kensuke got SNATCHED by froggy bad froggy let Kensuke go!

the dwarfs hid in the lands (where haughtypants is a lord now ig) and waited for the elves, and even after the war they continued to dig tunnels WHICH ALLEGEDLY SWALLOWED THE GOLDEN CITY AND TURNED IT INTO A DUNGEON wait wasn't that the dark evil crazy magician's work (allegedly)? hmmmmm interesting

he also says that the surviving dwarfs are responsible for the dungeon's continued expansion

grumpy mcpants says (his name is Mr Tansu just in case you think I am using the dumb nickname bc I don't remember) that rumor can't be trusted

ok so he copied a magical circle, I'm guessing before they met Senshi & friends bc afterwards they just bailed right? and it's in elvish, the same individual as before

AHA so his theory is that the crazy evil magician is an elf and these magical circles are his work, interesting (he says the work is beyond the abilities of dwarfs and tall-men)

OH EVEN MORE STUFF wow how did I manage to miss all this I'm such a clown

anyway, the western elves are sending letters now being like "the dungeon is ours we want it back" (well, our "heritage" is what they said, which is interesting bc weren't the king and Delgal tall-men?)

oh EVEN MORE INFO so they won the war with the dwarfs? bc they took the land from them and gave it to humans bc they apparently "didn't know what to do with it" (their king granted it himself even)

this evil magician, if it is an elf the only one I can think of is the crazy eyes elf from the living paintings, so I wonder if it has something to do with him

lordy mcislandpants doesn't want to give them back the island bc he wants the treasure that must still be in the depths of the dungeon lol

MAN we're getting so much lore and theories and everything now, the hamster in my brain is being pushed to his limits

grumpy mcpants says that the elves aren't after the treasure but the immortality spelll that's been cast on the dungeon (that does seem more valuable lol)

he tells mr lord to get his hands on the blueprint of the spell before they do and then he'll finally be treated as an equal, or even their superior

he says the lord of the dungeon possesses it (is that the evil magician or does he mean whoever "beats" the dungeon?), and tells him to keep supporting adventurers and not to cut down prices for hunting monsters etc

oh he'll issue a reward for taking down the orcs (that does not sound good)

ah yeahh I remember, Namari goes to the resurrection office and she asks about Falin (no luck of course)

on the 5th floor, outside the golden castle is the castle town (now abandoned and in ruins)

right, so Laios did mention that the red dragon is supposed to hunt once a month and then sleep until the next hunt but this red dragon has been active nonstop, even going as far as getting the orcs to flee their settlement which Marcille finds odd (but it's also no good for Falin bc she's getting digested faster)

fun fact: the weak spot of a dragon is the underside of his neck

there she goes again saying her protective magic isn't as powerful as Falin's. She was the best in school, right? It's making it seem like something either happened to her or the school didn't have any good students in it hahaha I mean, I don't really have anyone else to compare her to (besides Falin who is apparently better than her in everything magic related) so I can't tell if it's just normal for her not to be able to do this stuff or what.

ALSO not me just realising Falin is a tall-(wo)man and aren't tall-men supposed to be weaker in magic than elves by default? hm

listening to their plan of trapping the dragon now after I know what happens makes me think that they should have known this wouldn't work out. they're all humanfailures

hmmmm I don't think anyone has mentioned this before but where are dragons normally bc apparently not on the 5th floor lol my guess is lower? hm does that mean something chased it up, like the orcs were chased up by the dragon WAIT IS WHAT SENSHI WAS TALKING ABOUT ACTUALLY HAPPENING????? To clarify: this is one of my villain songs. That's correct, ONE of them. I currently only have two (but maybe I'll do a duet). To follow with the radio sound I was going for, I kinda going for a pop-rock/alt pop vibe for this. I'd actually been putting this song on the backburner, but I felt inspired today! TV Girl - Who Really Cares (2016)

Recently I have been hearing a lot about TV Girl, mentions of the band are practically inescapable at this point. When the two colors pink and blue are spotted together, you can bet you will see people speaking about TV Girl in the comments. So I decided, why not check out TV Girl and see what the hype is about?

Starting off I really like the album cover, it is clean and very identifiable.

The opening track  Taking what’s not yours opens directly into the chorus with a sound that I can only describe as a 90’s hip hop style. Personally I don’t fully know how I feel about this section, but I don’t think that it is necessarily negative. Moving to the first verse it is again very simple, but the vocals are good, my opinion on the verse is much more clear, and much more positive. I really like the overall sound of the verse. The simplicity is carried on throughout the rest of the verses as well, with the good vocals. Unfortunately for this song, the bridge is just talking over music, which i am honestly not that much of a fan of, but overall I like the song. I will be giving it a 6/10 

Song About Me Again it opens with the 90’s hip-hop vibe, and transitions into the vocals. Which I can’t fully figure out how to describe, but I can say that there is something about them that I really do like. Listening to this song, it has more complex, and slightly more forward lyrics, which works to it’s credit. 7/10

Cigarettes out the window opens almost directly into a story being told through the lyrics. Personally I love when a story is told through lyrics. The bridge seems to be an sample from an old movie or tv show. Overall I like the song, but the outro/bridge does get some points knocked off of it so i would rate it an 8/10

Till You tell me to leave Starting off I’m not a fan of this song because the wording of the title, but that's a personal thing. Anyway so this song is one with a lyric, then it breaks for instrumental then goes back to a lyric, and repeat. I either love these or I hate them, and it all depends on if the instrumental would be good enough to stand on it’s own. Unfortunately this song just can’t. I don’t hate the song by any means, but I doubt that I would ever go out of my way to put it on for me to listen to. And the outro is much like the previous track, and again, I am not a huge fan of that. 5/10

Not Allowed okay again very forwardly sexual. I don't think this song is bad, but it for some reason is almost too busy. I like the sound, but it also confuses my brain because it is slightly too much in my opinion. For a simple song it just has too much going on for it for me. 5/10

(do the) Act like you never met me This song is a bit more upbeat, and again forward lyrically. But I like this song much more than the previous one. I am still unsure why that song sounded like how my brain does when I'm overstimulated but it did. But I am happy to say even with more going on for the song, this one is not that way. Again with the sampling the television and movies. I’m just assuming that it has something to do with their name being tv girl. 7/10

Safeword This song is very simple, almost too simple. One thing that I noticed was the second verse made me think of the doll chorus from shrek. i don’t know how to feel. The third verse gives off the same vibes, but a little less. The chorus is just three words, so the song is very simple but reminded me of shrek so 4/10

For you I was a bit taken aback by children singing to me in the beginning. And was almost as surprised when again the lyrics got very horny. I’m not finding a lot of complexity in this song at all. 4/10

Loving Machine I was pleasantly surprised with a change in how the instrumental sounded. It almost sounds like elevator music but its okay, it is the little victories with this album. I like that it is simple lyrically, but not too simple, it is something that my overthinking ass self could actually ponder about the meaning a bit more than the others. However, I’m not in an elevator, so I would like to not feel like it with the minute-long instrumental at the end. 5/10

Heaven is a bedroom Again with different instrumental style, and I so like it. I’m not as big of the fan of it when the lyrics come in, but I do also like the storytelling style of the lyrics. I did find myself getting a bit bored with the lyrics though if I’m being honest. Especially with the song being a closer, i feel like it should be a bit more memorable. 6/10

Overall I would Rate this album a 6/10 as I would likely not put it on to listen to myself, and I would surely not purchase it on vinyl. 

Mathematically it gets a 5.7

Personally I don’t get all the hype I have been seeing recently. I was a bit disappointed by this album, but I still plan on looking at other TV Girl albums to see if they are good. This album was very horny. That is honestly the only way that I know how to describe it. Like someone help the person that wrote this. Now This doesn’t mean that I dislike forward, or even horny lyrics, but DAMN. 

My favorite song on this album would have to be Cigarettes out the window, while the bottom of my list will have to be Safeword because of the shrek thing. 

If I had to say the three things that stick out about this album it would be

X-Ray Spex - Germfree Adolescents

When I saw this album on the list my heart grew three sizes and the rolling stone list bastards gained significant good will with me. This is possibly my favorite punk album of all time. It's got a sincerely rebellious attitude mixed with a heaping of camp. The day-glo aesthetics and prominent saxophone fly in the face of contemporary punk, but that little bit of deviance makes all the difference. The songs are so much more exciting for their quirks whether it's Poly Styrene's insane delivery on songs like I Can't Do Anything and Oh Bondage! Up Yours, or the 50s rock style sax lines on nearly every track. I permanently have the way she hits the R in rat on the line "Freddy tried to strangle me with my plastic popper beads, but I hit him back with my pet rat" living rent free in my head. It has to be heard to be believed.

The Cars - s/t

By all rights this shouldn't be a good album, let alone a great one. It's got this sterile synth new wave sound that is very 80s and for that it could be a little ahead of it's time. Now the hits on this album are huge, everyone probably knows Good Times Roll, My Best Friend's Girl, and Just What I Needed, but for my money I would suggest Moving In Stereo as the best track. It is more genuinely new wavey than the rest and has a synth line that I get stuck in my head every time. Usually I can actually pinpoint some quality of the music that I like, but for The Cars I think it might just be that they wrote magnificently catchy pop songs, and sometimes that's all you need.

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP

White people love to put Eminem at the top of best rappers of all time lists. This is bullshit obviously, but talk to the real hip hop heads though and they'll all agree he still belongs in the top 10. While his subject matter is controversial to say the least it is undeniable that his flow is one of the best and being produced by Dre means that this album just sounds fantastic. And speaking of Dre, the absolute peak of this album is the duet on Guilty Conscience where Shady plays the devil and Dre the angel on the shoulder of several characters. It plays out masterfully. If you can get into the kayfabe then Slim Shady's antics can be appreciated as the joke they're obviously meant to be and while some of the murder fantasy stuff is a little tasteless even for me there's just as much that comes through as intended. The biggest problem is that the joke wears thin halfway through and become just bleak for a few tracks, but it comes back around by the end.

Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure

The creative strife between Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno came to a head on Roxy Music's second album. The tension between art rock and sleazy glam may not have mapped to the tension between the two Briyans but the tension is there nonetheless. Glam rock was always a little surreal and this album takes that and runs with it on tracks like In Every Dream Home A Heartache which is about fucking a blow up sex doll, and For Your Pleasure which outros for four minutes with increasingly spacey drum and keyboards. A proper sendoff for Eno, and a great finale to the album.

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I don't know how often you respond to asks but I was wondering if you (or anybody) could help find an old version of Polly Pocket's Drive N Style game. From memory it was called "Dress N Drive." I believe it was created to promote the Rock N Pop line of dolls then was updated when the Pollyworld line came out.

I hope this isn't going to sound confusing, but the intro and outro assets of the old version are missing. However, if you use the asset files of the new game, you can still run the main game with some assets of Drive N Style.

I think the Dress and Drive game is nearly identical to Drive N Style, but if you're curious, I've uploaded a working version of Dress and Drive (replacing the missing assets with ones from Drive N Style) on my MEGA drive. It's on Mattel > Polly Pocket > Dress and Drive.

Openings and endings with particular animations in anime.

Even if anime series on their own are master pieces of animation, it is not the same without their openings and/or endings, which show us a sneak peak of what the anime is about, decorated with a well-developed animation and a catchy and recognizable soundtrack that alludes to their series. However, there are some endings and openings that outstand for the fact that the creator took some creative liberties concerning animation, making a difference in comparison to the standard animation of the series.

An example of what is previously mentioned, here are some iconic openings and endings that are good material for artistic analysis.

- Beastars, opening season 1: “Wild Side”, by ALI. We know this series, not only for the argument, but also because it is 3D animated. But that is not the only surprise that we received in the animation context, because it also has an opening made in stop motion, something not usually seen in series of anime.

- Spy X Family, opening: “Mixed Nuts”, by Official Hige Dandism. Here we have an interesting simplified 2D version of our protagonists in the first seconds of the introduction, making reference to classical designs of superheroes or spies.

- Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, opening: "Inner Universe", performed by Origa, written by Origa and Shanti Snyder in Russian, English and Latin.

Although it’s an older series, and the 3D animation was not as developed as it is now, the level of detail is very good, which is also complemented with the epic music of the background.

- Subete ga f Naru: Here we have an interesting case in which both the opening and the ending use special animations; Opening: "Talking", by KANA-BOON. We only see moving white lines on a black background, that represent silhouettes of dancing people, that go from a very detailed and faithfully anatomical to a version in which it captures the movement of the dancers, but with “abstract” shapes that interact with each other.

Ending: "Nana Hitsuji", by Scenarioart. Here we have a simpler theme, that is merely a series of transitions of computer windows that form fractals and pixels, to finally form the silhouette of the protagonist.

- Full metal alchemist: Brotherhood, ending 1: “Uso”, by SID. In this case, we have an ending made with a style of drawing very simplified, alluding to the kind of drawings that a little child would make.

- Horimiya, ending: “Promise”, by the band FRIENDS. Here we are presented with chibi 3D animations of the protagonists, making a little summary of how they interact during the series, with simplified representations of their surroundings.

- Kaguya Sama, ending 5: “My nonfiction”, performed by Makoto Furukawa and Konomi Kohara, the voices of Miyuki Shirogane and Chika Fujiwara. In general, Kaguya sama outros have a different kind of animation in the sense that they are more elaborated, apart from showing a story aside of the central theme, but, in the fifth episode of the third season there is a special ending (that might just be for that episode), that is made with an 3D animation, where the characters of the series are shown rapping and dancing hip-hop, in honor to a situation previously shown in the same episode. The level of detail is very meticulous, although the movement of lights make intense contrast.

- Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru, ending: "Koi no Yukue", by Akari Akase. Simplified drawings of the characters decorate the credits of the episodes, with a style of typical japanese animation that we usually see when they are decorating or promoting something.

- Bakemonogatari, ending 1: “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari”, by Supercell. Here we have and animation with a style of drawing with sharp edges and exaggerated proportions of the characters, with flat colors and a reduced palette, looking a little bit like some drawings of cartoons made in the 2000.

But there are also some openings and endings that, even if they have an animation very similar to the anime that they are in, still take some liberties in some aspects, these are some works worth mentioning as honorific mentions.

- Jujutsu kaisen, ending “Lost in paradise”, by ALI feat. AKLO. Simple outline and flat colors that go outside the lines. - Yuri on ice, opening “History Maker”, by DEAN FUJIOKA. Some have simple outline and other parts have a more brush like outline, flat colors. - Mob psycho, opening season 2 “99.9”, by Mob Choir. There are some seconds of 3D animation of the characters of the series. - Attack on Titan: The Final Season, opening “My War”, written by Noko and interpreted by Shinsei Kamattechan. Has standard anime animation but with monochromatic gamma of colors that give the impression of antique videos and statues.

In the end, the idea of these short animations is to get adapted to the style and genre of the series in which they are involved, without the limitations of using the standard anime animation that we know.

I managed to *mostly* finish a song. at least, im p sure its done but i think my friend is going to master it and maybe per haps add vocals. i told them they shud , i think it wud b dope. fun song. even messed w raw vocals in da outro half of da beat.

been watching hannah montana and been getting rlly bad nostaglia. like constant flashbacks and aching 4 my childhood. i always rewatch old shows and yeah they gave me nostalgia but hannah montana is really doing it for me. i have 0 connection to that part of my life. i don't even have all the dolls i collected :/ wish my mom didn't throw out my old things. rip i guess. maybe thats why i keep and collect everything i can now, lol. especially, things that are given to me. whether im friends with that person or not anymore. oh well.
