Godscapes:
Lokan: A beautiful forest. Dazzling but never blinding sun, never too hot or cold. Flowers, trees, nature everywhere. Animals frolicking.
Fyokan: An underwater palace. Full of majesty and a certain dark beauty. It's huge, and faraway parts of it have long since been reclaimed by the seas. But it's okay, because Fyokan's domain is over all the waters. He knows and loves every animal, plant, drop of water, and all else in his oceans.
Avetan (honestly i'm not too sure about xyrs yet but-): A forge. It's large and furnished, but still has a rustic charm to it. The fire in the forge never goes out, and the bellows never stop working. Avetan rests here when xe needs some alone time. He has a whole separate room dedicated to the items he's created while spending time alone.
Goshen: A library. A grand, sunlit library that carries all the memories of the earth. A tree grows in the center of the scape, branches reaching out through an opening in the ceiling of the library. The bookshelves are arranged in a kind of circular maze around the tree. The books in the very center hold history from the moment Goshen came into being.
Aera: A castle in the clouds. From this vantage point, Aera can see the entire world (and her wings can take her anywhere in the universe). Within her castle she houses small fragments of each god's Godscape (part of her identity as the "Connector"). She also has a small version of Goshen's library. Within it lies the knowledge of how the world began.
Veya: A vast meadow of high wheat, forever in a state of sunrise. It's a sanctuary of pure peace, unlike any other.
Kora: An observatory among the stars. It has a special telescope that only Kora can use to see beyond just the celestial bodies. He has never revealed what it is that he can see with it, but some speculate that he can see the past and future.
Deurial: A home. There's a fireplace that always burns low, comfortable couches draped with rugs and blankets. There's always a plate of sweet cookies and hot tea on the table. It's not a very large Godscape, but it evokes a sense of unstoppable happiness.
Weiyah: A studio. Canvases lie in the corner, one propped against a paintstained easel. A desk sits in a corner, covered with thick paper ready for ink. Bookshelves house notebooks and novels. A door to the side leads to vir innermost Scape, where all of human emotion is carefully guarded from the outer world.
Ireth: A battlefield. There are no bodies and no blood, only weapons (some broken, some intact) scattered across the grass. Clouds drift across gray sky. There's a sense of waiting for something.
Sevion's Godscape is different. His is his entire realm. The sheer size of his Godscape gives him immense power, while at the same time makes him incredibly vulnerable, because so many enter it.

Daily Fic Highlight: Still Working Things Out
Today the winner of the kudos email is:
"Still Working Things Out" is a gen ficlet I wrote as part of my project to fill all unfilled prompts in Round 1 of the Rise of the Guardians Dreamwidth Kinkmeme. All of the Guardians except for North are de-aged and they've got to figure out how this happened. 727 words, G, Gen.
I'm pretty sure the prompter wanted kid shenanigans but I ended up bringing in eldritch Sandy and Pitch.
Sample:
When North walked into the globe room and found that the yetis hadn’t been metaphorical in saying that Jack was flying around as a six-year-old, he knew the day was going to be difficult.
“Do you remember how you got like this?” North asked, after a suitable number of candy canes had coaxed Jack to within consistent shouting distance.
“I woke up like this,” Jack said with a shrug. “Do you think it means I have more powers? I’m going to try to see if I do! I’m going to go visit Jamie! Won’t that be weird? He’s older than me now!”

one of my fave things about spiders is how they walk. theyre so thoughful and melodical about every step and i think thats really cute. they pause when they're unsure and approach everything with this poise about them.
from the perspective of my engineering degree, its also really cool how they move their legs using hydraulics of their own haemolymph (bug blood).
they also have little toe beans. thats also great.
hehehghsh look at them

part 2!!!! [read part one here]
transcript below the cut arranged into stanzas to help show where the rhymes are:
“that’s why they brought gem in? as a failsafe?” as a pawn.
we were told to point her at whoever we need gone
“gem won’t hurt her allies. …yet.” the curse she carries will
it’s had its eye on her since she lost the other eye
she was specially selected for her hunting skill
it’s quite the high honor. “wow. how generous.” we try
think about it: why does almost no one fight the curse?
“given how fast scott killed skizz last season, i can guess.”
[“any pain you spare your friends, you’ll have to suffer worse”?]
it’s designed to shut down higher reasoning with stress

happy new year Ego!!! Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your twst fanart and the tags are just an absolute pleasure to read! You are my greatest inspiration for my personal twst art and I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful masterpieces <333 if possible, may I ask what are some of your headcanons for the diasomnia family? If not for diasomnia then any other characters are fine as well!
thank you, and happy new year! 💚💜💚 that is amazing to hear; it's always a little bewildering but super flattering that other people like my silly little doodles so much!
I don't think I really have any really solid headcanons and also canon keeps validating me left and right (FLUFFY DOMESTIC DIAFAM IS REAL). mostly just kind of...impressions and general thoughts, if that makes sense! lately though I've been kind of obsessed with thinking about Lilia's hair, and specifically when/why he ended up cutting it. (l-look, we're bouncing around the timeline and I gotta make decisions about these things when I draw, it's relevant) (I mean I would probably be weirdly fixated on this anyway, but.)
I think I've settled on the idea that he kept it long until he went to NRC, partly because 1) I like drawing The Ponytail, and 2) I think he thought of NRC as a chance to reinvent himself a bit! he gets to go and be a wacky carefree teenager for a few years and have fun! (officially he's there to keep an eye on Son #1, but how much trouble could he get into, really.) so he gave himself a Cool Teen Haircut to go with his fresh new Cool Teen Persona!
also maybe he had some reflection on his hair's troubled past with three kids...
...and had to weigh his vanity versus the fact that he was going off to be around hundreds of kids on a daily basis, and. the choice suddenly seemed obvious.
