Nora: *Grabs and throws Oscar at the Wyvern*

Wyvern: *Screeches, plummets to the ground like a Boeing 747, begins dissolving into dust*

Jaune: *Squinting into the sky* Uh, good Job Nora.

Nora: Thanks! I gave it all I had!

Ren: And by all you had you mean ...

Nora: Well, given the speed of air currents in the upper atmosphere, his velocity leaving the ground, resistance granted by the Wyvern, and the angle of launch ...

Them Bois!!! So glad to see them talking and sharing their experiences!

I think they're really setting up an Oscar and Ozpin focused arc in the future (pardon my pun), where the merge will probably be stopped after coming very close to finalize. There's a sense of melancholic finality about Oscar but still both him and Ozpin are fighting to delay the process and their past and new friends (like Neptune and Sun in the past episode) keep differentiating between them, in a way helping them regain what sense of self they have left.

And it's really interesting to see Oscar as a part of JNPR but in a very special way. He feels like part of the team more than ever now, not entirely because of himself but not entirely because of Ozpin either. Wonder if the rest of RWBY beyond is gonna show us more interactions.

Also interesting how Oscar is adopting Ozpin's mannerism and speech. Does that mean that Ozpin, before the merge, didn't speak that way? It's an Oz thing, not an Ozpin thing? Mmmhhh.

everyone knew that nora had been in love with ren for quite some time now

but after being rejected by him, nora began to spend more time with her friends, including you

you were always there to make her smile and lift her up when she felt down

the two of you often talked on the phone until deep at night, with nora venting about her feelings to you

though one particular night, nora realized that something had changed between the two of you

the two of you were texting late at night, about some upcoming events at school, exchanging memes and silly messages

and suddenly, nora realized that she hadn't thought about lie for quite a while now

instead, you were the one she always looked forward to talk to

even now, she longed to see you again, even when she knew that in just a few hours you'd see each other again in class

a bit overwhelmed by her feelings, nora decided that she needed to sleep over that revelation, before telling you about it the next day...

Bad guy: *Hit Jaune in the leg with a bat*

Jaune: ARGH!

Bad guy: Tell us where the girl is!

Bad guy: *Hits him again*

Bad guy: Tell us where the girl is or we'll break your leg into pieces!

Jaune: Ok! Ok.... I tell you. Do you have a piece of paper?

Bad guy: Yes I do.

Jaune: Good, now take a pen...

Bad guy: *Takes one*

Jaune: ... and shove it up your butt!!

Bad guy: *Hits him again*

Jaune: SHit!

Bad guy: You think this is funny?!

Jaune: I think it's hilarious, hahaha

Bad guy: You're crazy.

Jaune: *Serious* And you're done.

Bad guy: Huh?

At that moment the wall that was on the left side of the bad guy bursts, hitting him in the process leaving him unconscious.

Jaune: What took you so long?

From the debris, Jaune's team appears. Nora, Ren and Oscar.

Nora: Sorry, traffic.

Ren: I really don't like how you handle these missions, Jaune.

Jaune: Hey, we found their base, didn't we? Also I have too much Aura, I can heal in seconds.

Ren: Even so, I don't like it. One of these days you won't be so lucky.

Jaune: Who needs luck when I have you guys. And speaking of you, can you help me? *He shows his hands tied to the chair*

Oscar: Oh yes! I can do that.

Oscar unties it and Jaune gets up from the chair. He uses his Aura and heals himself of all pain.

Jaune: Ok team, let's destroy the base and collect our bounty.

Ren: I think we are the first team that instead of protecting our client, we attack head on

Jaune: That's why we charge so much. Once we stop these terrorists completely, our client will never have to worry about them anymore.

Ren: If you say so.

Nora: Enough talking, let's break some legs!!

ORN: (look out the window at Jaune turtling on his back from all the Pokémon plushies pinned to him)

Ren: Jaune, we were supposed to have one Pokémon for our costumes.

Jaune: But I gotta catch 'em all!!!

Extremely interesting and delicious dynamic I didn't know I needed: Oscar and Ozpin being on good terms but that very bond means they are torturing each other without even MEANING TO.

Also Ren calling them both YOU TWO and being sweet and supportive of the both of them. Best boi after Oscar and Ozpin tbh. Ozpin being a de facto team member of JNPR makes me really happy, even if it's because of unfortunate circumstances.
