For me, the movie version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King, sung by the characters and an off-screen choir, is underrated and forgotten; it's crazy that this love song is the least popular and least favorite among the The Lion King and Disney fans, when it was the one that received the most accolades at the Oscars; obviously, I'm talking about Elton John's version, but the movie version should be more appreciated, just like its love scene; the love scene in The Lion King 1 is very underrated, not overrated, in my opinion
Reblog this if you agree with me

eleanor shellstrop one of the protagonists of all time honestly. woman who sucks so much who gets put in a situation specifically made to make her worse and instead she gets better. filled with love for other people but replaced it with malice for as long as she could because love got her nothing. went from being selfish for survival to selfless for survival and in the end she lands on being selfless for selflessness's sake. she even has mommy issues. she's even bisexual.

I want romance. I want laughter. I want the 3am love making. I want consistency. I want loyalty. I want the random looks of admiration. I want to know you're just for me. I want date nights and flowers. I want truth. I want priority. I want love that's pure and calming.

Confession of My Sexuality
After reading a It fanfic called Someone You Loved where Richie receives a visit from Eddie's spirit, with whom he spends a good time before saying goodbye forever, this question came to mind: what if Richie, upon returning to California after leaving Derry, confesses his secret homosexuality to his manager (the one who asked him why he was nervous about Mike's call from his comedy show)? Find out in this fanfic written by me and based on It Chapter 2
After carving the initials R + E into the Kissing Bridge and having received a spiritual visit from his former friend and secret love, Eddie Kaspbrak, Richie Tozier was preparing to leave Derry after remembering what Eds had told him before saying goodbye forever: "Remember I'll always be with you": this made him smile from ear to ear, because despite the pain of his lover/partner's death that would accompany him for the rest of his life, he knew that he, even if he wasn't physically there, yes it would be there spiritually; when he returned to California, he needed to get a psychologist to help him recover that cheerful energy that he used in his childhood and now as an adult in his stand-up comedy show, and that made him loved by both his friends and his audience who enjoyed his entertaining jokes; finally he was on the plane that would take him to the comfort of his home, leaving Derry forever, that town that had tormented him so much during part of his childhood and days ago as an adult to defeat that damn clown; he arrived home when it was already nighttime, but nevertheless, during the flight, a thought crossed his mind: since his friends had found out about his secret homosexuality and had accepted it, how would his manager react? Would he accept him, or discriminate against him like Henry Bowers did in his childhood? This thought, along with the ones he was now having about Eddie, saddened him; he weeped silently throughout the trip, until the plane landed at the airport; when he got home, he watched television for a while, while eating a pizza ordered from delivery and drinking a few glasses of alcohol, he even had the feeling of wanting to drink more to overcome his grief, but he knew deep down that this would make him worse than he was; after finishing his dinner, he brushed his teeth and prepared to sleep peacefully after a long plane trip, as well as with the feelings of mourning he was experiencing since leaving Derry forever, but tomorrow he would be willing to invite his manager to lunch to confess once and for all, why he failed in his comedy routine because of the phone call he received from Mike Hanlon
The next day at lunchtime, Richie contacted his manager, who was very happy to hear the voice of his TV host, and gladly agreed to go to his house for lunch and chat for several minutes, if not hours; upon arriving, they hugged, happy to see each other again, and as they were just starting to eat, the manager asked Richie:
"Richie, buddy, please, I want you to confess to me; why were you nervous about that call? Who called you?" At that question, Richie became serious and replied: "Are you sure you want to hear where I went and why I got so nervous that I ended up ruining my comedy routine by forgetting the joke?"
The manager looked at him with curiosity due to his serious face; only when he received the call was he in that state, in addition to trembling with fear while voices from the past echoed with homophobic insults about him. He looked his manager in the eyes and said:
"The thing is, if I tell you, you probably won't believe me and you'll call me crazy, or that I'm insane and need a psychiatrist, but what I went through and the reason why that specific someone called me, It was completely real, because when you finish listening to my story, you'll surely never look at me the same way again"
The manager looked at him with great concern, his face also reflecting that he wouldn't tolerate lies, or in other words, he would be willing to listen to him as much as he wanted, as well as offer him a much-needed helping hand; without another word, Richie took a deep breath and asked his colleague the following question:
"Do you know a place in Maine known as Derry?" His manager's response left him completely perplexed
"Of course I do, I had a cousin who disappeared when I was a kid; I heard that place was cursed; don't tell me you grew up in that horrible place?"
"Of course I do," Richie replied, "and that call I got that day, the day of the failed comedy, was from an old friend named Mike Hanlon, an African-American man who became the town librarian, and he called me and five other friends to come back, except for one named Stanley Uris, who committed suicide in his bathtub by slitting his wrists, he even left me a farewell letter, explaining why he decided to take his own life
"So, you're telling me you were nervous that day because you got a call from a friend you hadn't seen in years, and that another of your former friends committed suicide in his bathtub?" Please give me more detailed explanations"
Then Richie explained in great detail the reason for his return to his hometown: because when he and his former comrades were young, they made a "blood pact" to return to Derry in case It, the evil entity that took the form of the dancing clown Pennywise, returned with a thirst for blood and continued with his appetite for eating the innocent flesh of children who were not to blame for falling for his evil tricks and being devoured alive; after much effort, they had managed to defeat the evil entity that had terrorized them for so many years
When he finished telling, the manager noticed that Richie's expression had become gloomy and depressing, because he should also tell him the other reason why he invited him to lunch in the first place: to confess what Pennywise called, his "dirty little secret"
"Richie, man, you okay?"
"Well, the truth is no, I'm not well, because there is something else I must confess about my trip to Derry," he replied in a trembling voice
"And what is your confession?"
"I like men in the romantic sense; you see, when I returned to Derry, among my old friends, there was Eddie Kaspbrak, a fearful but ultimately brave man, whom I liked and had been in love with since we were children, but unfortunately, that damn monster from It murdered him, he impaled him so hard that it seemed he quickly bled to death, I swear I wanted to die next to him because I didn't want to let go, but still, my friends managed to get me out of there; they also knew about my hidden sexuality, there's a reason they comforted me when I break in tears in the quarry where we used to swim as children; and when I returned here to California, a thought overwhelmed me and made me cry because I wanted to ask you this: will you hate me now that you've discovered my hidden sexuality? Poor Eddie, I'll never be able to find another like him"
And when he finished speaking, he began to cry, although the tears had already flooded his eyes as he recounted with a broken voice how Eddie died, and his friends, although they consoled him for his loss, it was not enough, he needed to get most that pain off his chest and remember his old love in the best way possible, how they joined together in the first place to defeat It, and why they chose to be friends in the first place, due to personal problems in their lives; the manager listened very attentively, and seeing his comedian cry, he invited him to rest his head on his shoulder; while patting him on the back, he said:
"Richie, how can I hate you because you were a closeted man? Of course, I'll accept your sexuality, but you must keep your promise not to tell everyone, in the sense that everyone will accept it, because even though there are people, like your friends, who supported you, unfortunately, there will still be homophobic people who won't accept other people's sexualities; the first thing you need is a psychologist to help you take away the pain and get back to your same comedy routine"
Richie looked up with tears in his eyes and said to his manager, "Yeah, buddy, I knew it too, but for a few days, I'm just going to cry until my eyes can't shed another tear, so I don't have to cry for my beloved Eddie again"; he continued to cry until he finally calmed down and ate his food, which had gotten a little cold from all the talking. When they were done eating, his manager said goodbye, promising to help him find the psychologist he needed, while thanking him for inviting him to lunch so he could get his worries out; as he closed the door, Richie decided to go take a nap, determined to overcome his pain so that, in the future, he could have the best memories he shared with Eds, and of all the moments they spent together; although he could never confess his feelings to him, he would always remember the last words he said to him before leaving for the afterlife: "Remember that I will always be with you"
