DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.
#DPxDC#dcxdp#Danny makes a card game to save the world.#Technically he worded the ritual so that they had to ‘beat’ him as those are the most powerful barriers and most reliable.#keys can just get lost or stolen (like the one to Pariah’s Coffin)#A riddle would be useless once someone figured out the answer. Like how no one takes the sphynx seriously anymore.#(Sorry Tuck. But it’s true).#And there is NO WAY Danny is just leaving a hole open for anyone to pass through. No thank you!#So…beating him. But it’s not like Danny wanted to fight so…he edited the ritual a TINY bit. Card games are good. Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges#And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of#Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

Love that Star Trek accurately portrays humans in the future as being DTF practically anything. Works wonders for diplomacy.
"Sure I don't find you attractive, but give me ten minutes, your Excellency, and I'll find someone on this ship who's into tentacles and slime."
We may not be super intelligent or super strong, but give humans a chance. We're annoyingly likeable, tenacious, stubborn, and attracted to the weirdest things.

What would've should've been
Tumblr media
Pairing: Theodore Nott x fem!ravenclaw!reader
Summary: Theodore Nott didn't truly know what love felt like until he found you. But now all he can do is sit and imagine what should've been.
Warnings: Mentions of death/killing, Battle of Hogwarts, use of Y/N
Word Count: 2.3k
Tumblr media
Before You
Theodore Nott isn't the happiest person in the world. Scratch that, he might be the most subdued, emotionally complex guy to have ever existed. Hardly anything made him smile, next to nothing made him laugh. That's just how he was, is, and how he will always be.
It isn't completely his fault. People are never born 'sad' or 'emotionless'. Theo was brought up this way. It was ingrained into him as a child, silently impacting his life forever, and he didn't even realise it. Well, that was until his mother died. At the hands of his father.
Tumblr media
Theodore's mother was a gentle soul. Sweet and caring, she always looked after her son. She gave him everything a child needed, wanted, and then some. The one thing she couldn't provide for Theo? A stable father, who wasn't an alcoholic, abusive pig. Though she did try, the fear she had of Theodore's father never ceased throughout their marriage. She just had to try to shelter Theodore from this cold, uncaring lifestyle.
She could only protect her son so much. When Theodore was just nine years old, she couldn't take the abuse from his father anymore. So she tried to escape. From her house, from her husband, from her life. Yet she failed. And he found out. Theodore Nott Sr. was not happy with this. So he did the only thing that he thought could ease his troubles. He killed his wife. The mother of his child. The child that had heard the Unforgiveable Curse uttered from his father's lips. The child who watched the flash of green light emitted from his father's wand. The child who had to watch his own mother, the only person who truly cared for him, die.
Tumblr media
When he started Hogwarts, Theodore wanted a somewhat fresh start. Free from the burdens of his home life, he made friends.(Arguably, they were friends who his father would have approved of. If his father even cared.) At school, Theodore worked hard, and tried to mask the emotions he had always been told to oppress. Anger. Hatred. Vulnerability. So none of his friends truly knew what his life was like. Except for Lorenzo.
Theo told Enzo Berkshire everything. It was easier, having someone understand why you were like you were. Someone who you trusted with your deepest, darkest secrets. Someone who cared about you. That's how the two became best friends. Practically inseparable, 24/7.
Tumblr media
During You
Having a connection with someone was something Theodore didn't truly seek throughout his lifetime. Especially now, in his fourth year at Hogwarts. Apart from Enzo, he was fine with keeping to himself, keeping a low profile and staying out of everyone's way. That was, until he saw you.
Tumblr media
"Enzo, I don't want to go."
"Please, Theo, I want you to come. I'll be lonely without you." Enzo pleaded with his friend.
"I don't want to go to the Yule Ball. And besides, I didn't ask anyone to go with me." Theodore replied, still resisting the idea.
"So? No-one really cares if you're with someone or not. It's supposed to be fun." Enzo says with a sigh as he flops down next to Theo on his bed.
Theo scoffs. "Says you! How many girls asked you to go with them? 15?"
Lorenzo turns slightly pink at his friend's comment. "23..."
Theo lets out an exasperated sigh. "Exactly," Theo says, but after a moment he decides, "I will go to the ball with you Enz. Only because it's that, or sit around here or in the common room with all the first years."
Tumblr media
So, that was how he ended up standing at the side of the Great Hall, sipping a glass of pumpkin juice, and watching all of his friends dancing with whoever they brought to the Ball. Theo didn't really mind. Once again, he was merely waiting in the wings, not really expecting anything grand to happen to him. At least, that's what he thought would happen. Until he saw you.
You were with some of your friends on the dancefloor. Laughing and smiling, you were carefree, living your life to it's full potential. Theo couldn't bear to take his eyes off of you. It's not like you would have seen him anyway, with him lurking in the shadows.
After he had spent what felt like forever watching you, Enzo came to his friend's side, offering a new glass of pumpkin juice, which Theo gladly accepted.
"Who's that?" Theo asked his friend, nodding his head in your direction.
"That's Y/N. Y/L/N I think. She's in Ravenclaw. She's actually quite clever, I sat next to her in arithmancy last year." Enzo pauses for a second. "Why do you want to know?"
"I don't know," Theo shrugs, nonchalant. "I just... don't remember seeing her before, that's all."
"Oh. Well, she's really kind. And sweet." Enzo smiles before rushing of again to resume dancing, leaving Theo to mull over his thoughts. Thoughts of you.
Tumblr media
A week later, whilst sat in Potions, Theodore couldn't help but watch you, sitting across from him in the classroom. Strange. He had never noticed you before, but now it seemed you were the only thing plaguing his mind. He hardly took any notice of Professor Snape that lesson, watching you as you took notes with your brow furrowed, and how you twirled your quill around in your fingertips if you seemed distracted.
Over the next few weeks, Theodore Nott grew to know lots about you, even if you didn't yet realise it. He knew your favourite subject (Charms), your favourite sweets from Honeydukes (Chocolate Frogs, because you collected the cards). He even knew how you liked to spend your Sundays (sat in the courtyard with a book and a hot chocolate). Theo was drawn to you, for some unknown reason, and not even he could figure out why.
Tumblr media
In the weeks leading up to your exams, you spent an increasing amount of time in the library, studying. Funnily enough, so did Theodore. He wanted to do well academically, even if his friends preferred skiving off and messing with first years. So, that was how he came to speak to you for the first time, five whole months after he was first captivated by you.
"Can I sit here? All the other tables are either occupied or slightly sticky and I don't want to mess up my books"
"Uhh, sure!" Theodore said, shocked that you had even come over to him. "No," he told himself. "She's only over here because nowhere else was free. Don't get your hopes up."
"I'm Y/N, by the way." You smile at him, and wave your wand to get your books laid out on the desk in front of you.
"Theodore. But you can call me Theo." Theodore said, as he found himself smiling in return.
The two of you started to talk about anything and everything; school, exams, your hobbies, interests, just your lives in general. And that's how Theo realised that, maybe he wasn't such a cold, uncaring teenager after all.
Tumblr media
A week or so later, the two of you were sat under the shade of an oak tree overlooking the Black Lake, studying for, you guessed it, exams. That moment was when Theo finally plucked up enough courage to ask you something.
"Hey, Y/N?" he asked, taking a deep breath.
"What?" you replied, looking up from your book.
"I was wondering, would you maybe like to, and it's OK if you don't, I don't mind, you don't have to say yes or anything because it's completely your choice-"
"Spit it out, Theo!" you giggled, humoured by his rambling.
"Right. Sorry." Theo said, trying to calm himself down. "Umm, would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me next weekend? And could we possibly go to the Three Broomsticks? You know, just... us?"
Your eyes widened, before you smiled at the boy's worried expression. "Of course! Theo I'd love to."
You wrapped your arms around him and gave him a small kiss on the cheek before returning to your book, leaving Theodore grinning as if he'd just won the lottery. Which, with you, he basically had.
Tumblr media
After You
It had been a while since Theodore Nott had been back at Hogwarts. Since he had gotten the Dark Mark, at his father's force, he had stayed working for The Dark Lord, being a Death Eater. He hated it. It was a life his father had forced him into, a life which wasn't truly his. And now he was back at the one place which had been a home to him, but now he was here to destroy it.
Theo tried to look for you. The one person who he trusted, and the one person who trusted him. Theo wasn't here to fight. He wasn't here to kill. He couldn't do that here. His safe place, where his father couldn't physically torture him. Where you were.
Tumblr media
Before his sixth year at Hogwarts, Theo was held under the Imperius curse by his father, and the searing skull tattoo, the tattoo that would hurt him forever, was imprinted into his left arm. When school started again, he couldn't bear to tell you, his girlfriend, what had happened. But he did, because between you two, there were no secrets. When you found out, all you were was supportive. You helped Theo though his pain and anguish, but what he didn't know is that when you first found out, you cried for hours. Crying about his future, your future, angry at the world you live in for being so cruel. Crying was really the only thing you could do.
Tumblr media
After Dumbledore's death, Theodore did what he thought would be best for your relationship, best for you.
"You can't be serious, Theodore?" you said, trying to keep your voice levelled and clear, holding back the tears.
That hurt Theo. You never called him Theodore, unless you were really frustrated. Which hadn't happened until now. "Y/N please, I have to, it's for your safety."
"My SAFETY? Theo, I couldn't care less about that right now. Please, don't do this." You couldn't hold back any longer. The tears were now streaming down your face.
"I don't want to, but-"
"But what, Theo? I love you!"
"I love you too, but-"
"Then surely that's all that matter?" you say, exasperated. "We love each other. We can run away together, and live in hiding until it's safe for us to come out, to be together."
"No, we can't, you know we can't, we'll be found and then... you'd... You'd be killed." Theo says in a small voice. "And I can't let that happen to you. Please, Y/N, just listen to me. As soon as this is over, we can get back together. We can live together, start over together. But it can't happen now. Not yet. Please, Y/N, wait for me."
You can't stop crying now, and you lean over to Theo and kiss him. "OK. When it's all over. I'll be waiting for you, Theo. You'll definitely come back to me?"
"Of course I will, Y/N. I promise I'll find you."
Tumblr media
And of course, that's what he was currently doing. Looking for you. He had been waiting a year to see your face again, hoping you hadn't forgotten about him. However now he couldn't find you. Running through the corridors, shouting you name, dodging curses and rubble, Theo's only goal was to find you. And he did.
There you were at the top of the Astronomy tower, a split lip and wearing a torn blue jumper, you were aiming all sorts of hexes at a Death Eater. Theo was so relieved, and began firing spells at your opponent, until he was knocked unconscious. At that point, Theo kicked the limp body over the balcony, not caring what would happen.
"Y/N." Theo smiled. "I told you I'd come back."
You pulled Theo into a hug and kissed him. "Theo!" you breathed.
"I love you more than anything, Y/N." All Theo could do was look into your bright, tearful eyes, relieved that he could see you once again before-
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
That fateful curse.
A flash of green light.
Your body fell limp in Theo's arms.
Your eyes lost their brightness.
"NO!"
Theo tried to pull you up, tried to hold you tight, but it was no use. You were gone. Theo looked up to see your murderer, looking him in the eyes. His father.
Your death at the hands of Nott Sr. ensured Nott Sr.'s death at the hands of his son. That was the first and last time that Theodore Nott would ever use the killing curse, and it only made sense for it to be on the person that used it on the two people who he had loved most in the world.
Tumblr media
When the Battle of Hogwarts was over, most of Voldemort's supporters were dead, captured, or had fled the scene when it was evident that they were losing. But two Death Eaters stayed behind, simply because they couldn't bear to leave the castle like this. They felt it was partly their fault. Those two Death Eaters were Theodore Nott and Lorenzo Berkshire.
Whilst everyone gathered in the Great Hall, Enzo wandered the, now ruined, corridors of a place he loved so dearly. What he didn't expect to find his best friend, leaning on the crumbled wall of the Astronomy tower, cradling someone in his arms. Not to mention the fact that his father lay on the ground mere feet away.
"Please, Y/N, you can't be dead, you can't. I came back for you I-"
"Theo?" Enzo inquired, sitting on the floor next to his best friend, who was in fits of tears.
"He killed her, Enz. He killed her so- So I killed him. I had to."
"It's OK, Theo." Enzo replied, putting an arm around his friend's shoulder, and letting him cry.
The pair fell into a comfortable silence, with the sound of everyone in the castle talking and grieving the loss of friends and family. The two could have been down there with them, celebrating the demise of the people who made their lives hell.
But instead, all Theodore Nott could think about is what should've been.

How the Slytherin boys would react to dying with you during the Battle of Hogwarts
I posted this on my TikTok today (@greygaunt) but I thought it deserved a place here too.
Theodore Nott
You and Theodore found yourselves trapped. You were stuck between the edge of the clock tower and Bellatrix Lestrange. The wild woman would have ordinarily been on your side had she not witnessed you both try to run away from the fight instead of fighting for the Deatheaters. She was furious, maniacal and dangerous. Theodore’s dark mark hurt, the searing pain radiating up his arm. He chose to ignore it and focus on the softness of your hand desperately clinging to his. “Traitors!” Bellatrix wailed, her curly mane blowing in the wind as she stepped closer to the both of you. You shuddered. Her dress was flapping slightly, giving her the atmosphere of a dementor. Theodore looked down at you. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled. You met his eyes. They were still the familiar blue you often sought comfort in. “It’s not your fault. We couldn’t fight, you know we couldn’t.” You shook your head softly, squeezing his hand.
You turned towards Bellatrix and stared her down. “You! This is your fault! Theodore should be fighting alongside his father, but you had to meddle, didn’t you!” Bellatrix shrieked. She flailed her wand about, a manic glint in her eye. “I chose this, not her. Leave her alone, Lestrange.” Theodore stepped forwards, gently pushing you behind him. Your wand trembled in your hand. “Oh, Theodore. How foolish you have been.” Bellatrix cackled maniacally as she encroached upon you both. Your back pressed against the railing of the clock tower, the cold breeze blowing your hair. A shiver ran down your spine. Theodore took a step closer to the feral witch In front of you, leaving you almost exposed. “My, my. I’m sure your father would disown you if he knew. It’s a shame he won’t get to.” Theodore swallowed as Bellatrix raised her wand.
You stepped out from behind Theodore and grasped his hand, knotting your fingers together as a desperate attempt at reassurance. “Crucio!” Bellatrix yelled and a bolt of green light shot from her wand. You felt a thump in your chest. You looked up at Theodore, his face was contorted in horror. You hit the floor with a thud, your muscles going limp before reanimating, a sharp, burning sensation flowing through all of your limbs. Every single nerve was on fire, burning and twisting. A strangled cry came from your throat, a desperate wail of pain and suffering. You couldn’t stand, you couldn’t move. Theodore watched as you writhed on the floor, contorting in pain. He rushed to your side, desperate to help you. “Uh oh! Seems someone’s in a bit of pain!” Bellatrix laughed as she stood hopping from foot to foot, her wand still pointed at the two of you. A guttural wail came from you as you gripped the clock tower railing, forcing the strength to stand. “Oh, courage. Are you sure you’re in the right house?” Bellatrix chuckled as she waved her wand about, her teeth flashing at you. Theodore’s arm wrapped securely around your waist, supporting you as your insides burned. “Please. Let Theo go. It wasn’t his choice.” You gasped, your lungs unable to hold any oxygen. Theodore looked down at you, a scowl on his face. “No. We go together or not at all.” He said, standing his ground. “Well, if that’s how you want it to be!” Bellatrix cackled loudly, her jaw resembling that of a snake. She pointed her wand at the two of you and a strong, green spark flew towards you. “Diffindo.” She spat, watching as deep cuts bore themselves into your flesh, throwing you to your knees once again. Theodore joined you.
“Theo, is… is that blood?” You mumbled, watching the red liquid dribble down from your arms, your chest, and your thighs. Your vision blurred slightly as you reached for Theodore’s hand. “I’m so sorry, cara mia. I… I love you.” Theodore wheezed as the blood poured from him. Bellatrix had got his throat. He was pale and you could feel him drifting away from you, your vision was turning white. “No, we’re together, always. I love you.” You reached for his hand, the lacerating pain causing you to become faint and dizzy. You tangled your fingers together with his, your hands cold and numb. A gargled noise came from you as your eyes closed, Theodore’s breath slowing as he squeezed your hand. Your ears started ringing as you slipped away, holding Theodore’s hand as he joined you.
Blaise Zabini
All you could hear was the hollow sound of your feet hitting the ground. Everything else was blocked out by the racing of your blood in your ears. The recoil of your feet thumping on the floor rippled up your legs. You could feel the heat around you, taunting you as it grew closer. You followed Blaise, desperately chasing after him as a beacon of hope. “Blaise, I can’t breathe.” You sputtered slightly as the smoke tickled your lungs. He turned to look at you, fear etched across his face. His eyes were wide and his pupils were blown. “Keep going, keep going! We’ll find a way. There’s got to be a way.” Blaise muttered, his voice wavering slightly as he watched the towering flame rise behind you both. “I don’t know where we are, I don’t know where my wand is either! Hermione disarmed me before Goyle cast the fire-” You were shouting now. Your legs were burning and cramping as you ran, crying out for rest. Your heart was pounding and your body was static with fear.
You looked up hearing a roaring sound above you; three broomsticks flew overhead as a serpent made of spitting flames followed. Blaise followed your eyeline. He watched as Draco escaped with Harry, Hermione and Ron. A pit grew in his stomach. He slowed down his pace. “There’s nowhere for us to go, Blaise. We can’t outrun it.” You whimpered, reaching for his arm to stop him running. Your hand trailed down from his bicep to his hand; you intertwined your fingers with his, squeezing tightly. “It’s okay, I promise it’s okay.” You reassured him. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I-” He looked at you, your eyes connected. His usually warm eyes were glassy and cold. “It’s not your fault. I’m glad I’m not alone.” Your eyes flooded, distorting your vision as you clung to his hand. Both of your hands were cold. Blaise pulled you close. He wrapped his arms around you, cradling you in his warmth. His heart was pounding as fast as yours was, beating in harmony. You inhaled a mix of smoke and Blaise’s scent, your brain tricking you into a small, dull spark of comfort. You desperately clung to Blaise. His grip tightened around you as the flames got louder. Hissing, spitting. Closing in around you, the heat smothering you. You clenched your eyes closed, burying your face into Blaise’s neck. Your body shuddered. The adrenaline coursing through your veins was making you dizzy. “I love you. I love you so much.” Blaise whispered in your ear as his hand pressed your head into his neck. He was doing all he could to protect you, but you had accepted your fate. You were just grateful to be with him. You slowly sank to the floor, taking him with you.
The smoke was starting to billow around you, smothering you, separating you. Blaise clung to your hand, his knuckles pale. “I’m glad you’re here with me, but I wish you weren’t.” He mumbled. A tear rolled down your cheek, your eyes burning as the smoke invaded them. “I love you too, Blaise.” You were tangled together, your legs knotted with his and your head next to his shoulder. The floor was cold beneath your back. The flames danced above you, almost taunting you. Blaise ran a hand through your hair as your breathing slowed. An aggressive orange glow swarmed you, encroaching at an agonising pace. You knew you wouldn’t have outrun the flames, so why were they taking their time? You coughed slightly. Your chest felt heavy, like the oxygen in your lungs was fighting to get through the smoke. “I know. It’ll be over soon.” Blaise whispered, pressing a kiss to your head. Your adrenaline had ceased, your heart weakly plodding along at a slowing pace, the sharp contrast dizzying. Your hearts were still beating in sync, as if you were intertwined, weaved together, connected. Your hand was still clenching Blaise’s. “I hope it doesn’t hurt.” You mumbled, turning to look at Blaise. “The smoke, we won’t feel it.” Blaise said, his voice trembling slightly. It seems you had both accepted the reality of the situation you were in. With your hands clutching each others, and your bodies intertwined, you took a deep breath. The smoke clogged your lungs, stifling the little life left in you. Your heart tightened as it slowed, your chest feeling like a lead weight. Your eyes found Blaise’s, his pupils blown wide as he looked at you. “I’ll love you forever.” His quiet voice trembled as his chest deflated. You pressed a kiss to his shoulder as your vision faded.
Lorenzo Berkshire
Lorenzo was running towards you, arms outstretched. He had lost you when you both had decided to flee, not bearing to watch your friends get hurt. You spotted him running and you took off into a sprint. “Enzo!” You yelled, your arms stretching to meet him. His face was warm and reassuring, a picture of relief painted across it. “You’re covered in blood! Is it yours?” You spoke, panicked at the sight of his stained skin. “I… I don’t know.” Enzo shook his head. Just as you were about to join hands, a sharp force launched your whole body back. You slammed into the stone floor, the force reverberating through your bones.
You winced, your knees and hip going numb on impact. Your eyes met Alecto Carrow’s, and your blood ran cold. “Lorenzo! Go!” You shouted, whipping your head around to look for him. It was too late, he was on his knees, facing you. Amycus Carrow had his wand pointing at his temple, his arms tightly wrapped under his chin. You saw Enzo’s wand discarded on the floor a few metres away. “Too late, princess.” Amycus said coldly, tightening his grip on Lorenzo’s neck. Enzo started to struggle, his pale hands clutching at Carrow’s arms. You let out a wail as Alecto kicked you in the waist, forcing you to keel over. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Alecto sneered, her voice dripping with malice. Cruel laughter echoed from Amycus. "Trying to run, are we?" Amycus taunted, his eyes gleaming with sadistic delight as he pulled Enzo’s chin up by his hair. "I'm afraid there's no escape from us, my little rats." Alecto muttered something from behind you, as she yanked you up by your hair and dragged you to your feet. She walked you over and dumped you on your knees in front of Lorenzo, holding your head so you were forced to look him in the eyes. “I love you.” He silently mouthed to you. Your eyes welled up, you were so close to him with no way of reaching him. “What to do with you, hmm?” Alecto whispered, her mouth near your ear. “How about…” She trailed off as she whispered “Crucio.” In your ear. Lorenzo let out a quiet, breathless wail as the curse hit him in the chest. He began to writhe in Amycus’ grip, the white-hot pain slicing through his nerves. “Whose side are you supposed to be on, little one?” Amycus jeered as he tilted his head to look at you. His hand flicked upwards and your head was thrown backwards, a sharp crack hitting you in the face.
You felt warm blood dribbling down your face. You stared Amycus in the eye as you licked the blood from your lips, spitting towards him. Lorenzo was silent, writhing and struggling in his grip, the strength in his eyes a dying flame. He smiled weakly at you. Alecto pulled your head to one side by your hair, causing you to cough slightly as blood ran down your throat. “You’re a coward.” She spat at you. You refused to look at her. You knew that you were going to die. Your arms were free, so you reached out to Enzo. He was gaining control of the pain searing through his nerves and was spluttering for breath as Amycus’ grip was crushing his oesophagus. His eyes were bloodshot, but they never left yours. You reached desperately for his hand. He took yours, stretching for it. “I love you, Lorenzo, I’m so sorry. We’ll be together again.”
The blood dribbled down from your nose and out of your mouth, staining your teeth as you smiled at him. You nodded, and mouthed “It’s okay.”. Enzo closed his eyes. Alecto pointed her wand at your neck and yanked you back from Enzo. “I think it’s best if we get rid of you both, hmm? One less person to contend with later. Can’t have you living with the shame of being a deserter.” You took a deep breath. A green trail of light set a glow around your neck. The last thing you heard before you went limp and hit the floor with a thud was the bloodcurdling, strained scream that came from Lorenzo’s throat, moments before he met the same punishment.
Draco Malfoy
“Come on. There’s nothing we can do.” Draco clutched your hand as you watched Pansy hit the floor, her gargled cries bouncing off the tall, stone walls. Draco dragged you away as tears threatened to spill from your eyes. “What about your father?” You struggled, squeezing the words out as you ran alongside him. “I don’t care. I need you to be safe.” Draco stated, his voice cold and flat. Your breath was ragged as you rounded the corner, heading towards the east exit of the castle. “Fuck...” You breathed as you came to an abrupt halt. Fenrir Greyback was blocking your path. You tried to desperately control your breathing. The light coming from the shattered window next to you illuminated Greyback’s sharp teeth and sickly yellow eyes as he grinned at you, unnerving malice in his eyes. You kept his eyes steady on his, feeling like prey. Draco's grip tightened on his wand, his knuckles white with tension as he stepped forward to confront the sadistic werewolf, his voice steady despite the fear that gnawed at his insides. "Greyback," he spat, his tone laced with defiance. "What do you want?"
Fenrir's lips curled back into a predatory grin, his eyes gleaming with hunger as he took a dominating step towards you, his movements fluid and menacing. "I've been sent to fetch you," he growled, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down your spine. "The Dark Lord has plans for you, little lambs." Your hair stood on end as Fenrir’s eyes raked over you, taking in the thick iron scent of the blood staining your clothing and the cold fear in your eyes. Draco's eyes narrowed as he protectively stepped in front of you, his jaw set in a determined clench as he raised his wand. “We're not going anywhere with you, dog.” he declared, his voice ringing with disgust. “Your father said you’d behave like this. He gave me permission.” Fenrir snarled as his tongue darted across his lips. “Who wants to go first? You, little lady?” You shuddered as Draco put his arm around you, shielding you. Before you could react, Fenrir lunged forward with lightning speed, his claws slashing through the air as he seized you in his powerful grip, his strength overpowering as he dragged you across the cold, stone floor. Draco’s eyes fluttered as he registered what had happened. A trail of blood followed your body as it was dragged across the floor, a smeared, red path. Draco dropped his wand and reached for you, grabbing your arm as Fenrir stood up and licked his lips. “Bitter. I’m not surprised, for a coward.” You closed your eyes as you spluttered from the floor, coughing. Blood spat from between your lips, smattering your face in little crimson drops. It started to run gently from your mouth as you clutched at your stomach, a gaping slash spread across. You whimpered. “Draco… go. Go with him. Save yourself…please. I love you. Please, go.” Tears ran from Draco’s grey eyes. Fenrir tilted his head at the two of you. “Such a waste.” He spat, his deep, threatening voice full of venom. Draco clung to you body; you were losing life rapidly. You felt cold. Draco pressed a kiss to your temple. “We almost made it, my love.” He whispered. He reached for his wand, but it was too late. Greyback shot a sadistic smile towards Draco and started bounding towards him.
Draco’s head hit the floor with a thump as Greyback held his chin up, exposing his throat. The only thing Draco felt was your hand going limp in his.
Mattheo Riddle
“Hey. If we’re going to go, we should go now.” Mattheo whispered. He gently pulled you up from where you both had chosen to rest in the hour-long armistice you were graced with. As you started to make your way out of the forest, a chill tickled over your skin. Almost like a warning. You were limping, a deep cut across your thigh from an altercation with an acromantula. Clinging to Mattheo’s arm, you walked next to him as quick as you could. Emerging from the forest, you and Mattheo were confronted with a small army of surviving Deatheaters and the Dark Lord himself. "You thought you could escape my grasp, Mattheo?" Voldemort's voice was a sinister whisper that sent a chill down your spine. "Betrayal has its consequences, my boy." Your eyes scanned the small crowd, once your family. Before the bloodshed. Mattheo stood defiant, a mix of fear and determination flickering in his chocolate eyes. Beside him, you could feel the grip of his hand tightening around yours, your fingers entwined in a desperate bid for support and solidarity. You whimpered slightly as your leg began to burn again. Drops of blood hit the floor by your feet. "You had a chance to prove your loyalty," Voldemort continued, his tone venomous. His eyes were cold. “But you chose to defy me. Such actions cannot go unpunished.” He stared Mattheo down, an unspoken war waging between them. You watched as Mattheo’s eyes flitted to yours, reassuring you slightly.
The Dark Lord turned his attention to you, his cold gaze locking onto yours. "And you," he sneered, "you thought you could flee with my boy? Love, loyalty—such weaknesses will be your downfall." Your breath was shaky as you listened to his icy words. They felt like a threat. Mattheo shot a loving glance towards you. Voldemort raised his wand, the threat of his power looming over you. Your spine tingled. "Mattheo," Voldemort commanded, a cruel smile playing on his pale, cracked lips, “Show me where your true allegiance lies. Prove your loyalty by ridding yourself of this betrayer." Mattheo's eyes flickered with conflicting emotions. His hand grasped yours tighter in an effort to remain connected with you. “You know if you don’t do it out of your own free will, I will force it.” Voldemort finished, his hands clasped in front of his chest. Mattheo swallowed. “If you kill her, you kill me.” He spat. He wasn’t about to let you die alone. “Mattheo, it’s okay. I won’t last long, it’s merciful. ” You said weakly, gesturing to your leg. Tears rolled down your cheeks. “No, don’t cry. I hate it when you cry.” Mattheo whispered. You stepped towards Mattheo and grabbed his other hand, locking your gaze with his. You pressed your forehead to his. “I won’t do it.” Mattheo said, his breath lingering with yours.
“So poetic, like Romeo and Juliet. You’ve made your choice.” Voldemort raised his wand once more, pointing it at the two of you. “I love you, Mattheo. I always have and I always will.” You whispered, softly pressing your lips to his. Your tears made the kiss a bitter, salty goodbye. Mattheo nodded, squeezing your hand three times in response. “I have never, and will never, experience such a disappointment as you have been, Mattheo. I’ll be glad to be rid of you, my boy. Take the treacherous leech with you.” Voldemort’s eyes glittered with a sordid satisfaction, a strong bolt of green light bursting forth from his outstretched wand. A calm silence filled the air as the crowd watched your bodies fall, tangled together. You chose to die together, hands connected. You had both agreed to escape the battle, but this wasn’t the way you had expected. An uneasy silence settled around your limp bodies.

Pairing: Fred Weasley x reader
Word count: 2.5k
Warnings: mentions of death, blood, broken bones
Summary: based off this ask; this will be a short series fic
Your lungs were on fire, but you kept running. Pointing your wand behind you, throwing every defensive spell you could think of toward the figure behind you. You turned down a different corridor, noticing the stone arches above you. You pointed your want toward the ceiling, still sprinting, “Bombarda Maxima!” The stone behind you came crumbling down on top of your attacker. You slowed down to a light jog, seeing an opening in a wall just big enough for you to rest and catch your breath quickly. You heard footsteps nearing and gripped your wand tightly, at this point in your life the birch wood and Phoenix feather core were an extra limb for you. The steps came closer and you did your best to press yourself into the crack in the wall. As soon as you saw a foot in your peripheral vision you muttered a quiet impedimenta, the person immediately tripping and a flash of red hair coming into your vision.
“Ginny! Oh Merlin, I’m so sorry a death eaters been chasing me for Godric knows how long and I just-” Ginny embraced you in a hug so tight you thought she was going to crack one of your ribs. “Bloody hell, Y/n, I’m so glad to see you,” Ginny pulled away, quickly scanning over you head to toe as you did the same to her. She had some minor cuts on her face, her shirt and jeans covered in small tears and stone dust. You were sure you looked similar. “Have you seen the twins recently? Have you seen Freddie?” You tried to keep your voice from breaking as you asked. Ginny shook her head, “Not since they went with dad toward the towers.” You nodded, pushing any fear or doubt deep down inside along with any tears you feared were to spill. You heard cackling down the next corridor. Ginny grabbed your hand tightly, “We have to go.”
You and Ginny ran, dodging falling pieces of the castle and throwing spells toward any dark smokey figure you saw in the distance. You forced down the bile that would rise in your throat any time you had to step over a dead classmate, feeling guilty every time you were relieved it wasn’t Fred. You had been blindly following Ginny, not paying attention to where she was running when you came to the steps at the bottom of the astronomy tower. You followed her halfway up the stairs before glancing out one of the stone openings. You saw a giant swinging his curved weapon, flattening a row of stone soldiers in one fell swoop. You watched briefly as an acromantula  picked up three students at once with their pincers, cutting them in half. You couldn’t hold it back this time as you stuck your head through the opening, emptying what little contents were in your stomach.
“Y/n, are you okay?” Ginny walked back down the steps to check on you. You opened your mouth to speak when it suddenly felt like your head was going to explode. Your eyes met Ginny’s as you started to hear the gravely, burning voice of the one man everyone was fighting to defeat. You have fought valiantly…but in vain, I do not wish this, you looked back over the scene below, noticing everyone looking up at the sky,  every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to retreat, your eyes widened and met Ginny’s again, both beginning to descend the steps quickly. Voldemort's venomous tone continued, in their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. You both headed back the way you came, keeping an eye out for loved ones, alive or fallen. Harry Potter I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you, rather than face me yourself there is no greater dishonor. Your mind immediately jumped to Fred, tears brimming at the thought,  join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man woman and child who tries to conceal you from me.
The Dark Lord’s voice was gone just as quickly as it had arrived. “The Great Hall,” Ginny stated breathlessly as you continued to run behind her. “What about it?” You questioned. “That’s where they’ll bring them,” she stopped running, turning to face you as you came to a halt, “the dead. They’re going to bring them to the Great Hal-”. You were sprinting past her before she could finish, you’re mind on one thing: not seeing Fred’s lifeless body on a stretcher. You ran past damaged walls, fallen painting and Filch sweeping pieces of stone with a push broom. You entered the Great Hall, slowing to a walk to better scan the faces around you. Your breath caught in your throat when they landed on Remus and Tonks. Tears ran down your face when you noticed their arms still outstretched toward each other.
“Y/N!” Ginny had finally caught up to you, “have you seen any of them? My family?” You shook your head, looking back toward your fallen friends in front of you. Ginny choked back sobs before both of your names began being called out. “Ginny! Y/n!” You both turned, seeing the Weasley parents running toward you. “Mum! Dad, oh thank Merlin,” Ginny spoke and the Weasleys enveloped you both in their arms. George was right behind them and you captured him in a hug quickly, nearly knocking him over, “I’m glad to see you too, duck.” You pulled back slightly, “And Freddie?” George’s face fell slightly, looking over your shoulder at his parents. You turned to them, neither able to meet your eye. You looked back towards George, seeing Charlie and Bill carrying someone on a stretcher. “No,” your voice was barely a whisper, growing louder and louder as your brain started to realize the situation, “No it can’t be, no, Freddie NO!”
You moved to run to the stretcher but George held on to you, long arms wrapping around your waist and holding you to his chest, “Let..go of me,” you fought against him, “George let me go, let me go to him…please…I-I need to see him.” George held onto you tighter, slowly sitting down on the ground as your body seemed to go limp in his arms. You turned towards him now, burying your face in the chest of his jumper as sobs escaped you. You felt like someone was squeezing your heart tighter and tighter with each breath, “I-I can’t b-breathe…G-Georgie I c-can’t b-breathe.” George turned you to face him, placing a hand on either side of your face, he forced you to look at him. At the face that looked just like your Freddie’s. Only it wasn’t Fred, you could tell. You were always able to tell.
By the end of week one you could tell, or at least you could tell which one of them was Fred. Both twins had a singular dimple when they smiled, on their left side; but Fred’s was just a little deeper than George. By the end of year two there were several differences, at least to you. George’s voice was slightly deeper, Fred’s part was just slightly more subtly to the left, and he had a faint beauty mark under his left eye. They both began accumulating little nics and scars on their skin as their pranks grew more extravagant as well. Fred had the smallest of scars on the bridge of his nose after running face first into the stone wall a week before Christmas holiday one year. He and Peeves had just pranked Filch, Fred forgetting that being a poltergeist allowed Peeves to escape through walls, while he just slammed into one. By the end of your sixth year they both had several more scars that helped you distinguish Fred from his twin, including a half inch scar below Fred’s right eye. It was your favorite one because it was the first time he had let you heal him at the end of year two. You had so many opportunities to heal the twins over the years Fred would joke that you should choose that as your profession.
George tapped your cheek lightly, bringing your attention back to the present. “Y/n, did you hear me, love? Are you listening? Ginny, is there something wrong with her hearing I thought you said you checked each other?” You grabbed his face, you now holding each other, “I’m here Georgie, I can hear you, what did you say?” He swiped his thumb over your cheek, catching another tear before it fell fully, “He’s still alive, duckie. Freddie’s not dead, he’s alive. We just can’t get him to wake.” You never moved faster in your life than you did from your spot towards Fred’s body. Ginny got up, allowing you to kneel right next to him. You scanned his body, gasping as you reviewed his injuries. His left leg was clearly broken, Molly muttering mending and bandaging charms above it. He had numerous cuts and bruises along his chest and stomach, some deeper than others, edges burned black from the types of spells that created them. His right hand and several fingers broken as well, as if someone stepped on it, ceasing his ability to use his wand. His neck was beginning to bruise, you noticed his shallow breaths and checked his pulse as you ran your fingers along his jawline. His upper and low lips were split on opposite sides. What worried you the most was the gash on his forehead, just below his hairline.
“Is he..?” You looked up to see Ron standing over you, doing his best to hold himself together. You stood up, “He’s alive, but he needs a lot of mending.” Ron did his best to smile at you, “Well then he’s in the perfect hands with you, I reckon he’s given you lots of practice.” You sniffled, nodding. You grabbed on to Ron quickly, not able to control the tears that were falling. He held onto you just as tightly. “I can’t lose him, Ron. I just can’t. I don’t think I can survive without him,” your tears soaking the shoulder of his shirt. “You’re not going to lose him, just stay with him. Do what you do best for him.” You pulled back, wiping your face with the palms of your hands as Hermione sprinted up to your group, “Harry went into the Forest, I-I couldn’t stop him. Luna said she saw Voldemort and the rest of the death eaters walking back toward the castle. They’re leading Hagrid with ropes like an animal. And he’s…” she trailed off, looking over at Ginny. “He’s what, Hermione,” you asked her, snapping her back to the present. “He was carrying someone.”
Ginny started running out of the hall. “Arthur!” Molly pointed towards Ginny; Athur and the older boys followed after her. Hermione and Ron followed quickly after that. You stayed with Fred, Molly staying as well not able to leave her injured son. You took your wand from your pocket, hands hovering over Fred’s stomach, “Vulnera Sanentur.” His cuts started to slowly close. You waved your want over his right hand, “Episkey.” The bones in his hands and fingers snapped back to their rightful place and a mild groan left Fred’s throat, yet he remained unconscious. You leaned down, placing a soft kiss to his cheek before whispering to him, “I’m sorry, Freddie. I know you’re hurting. You are so strong, love. So very strong. I love you so much.” You sat up straight at the sound of cheering just outside the castle. You and Molly made eye contact, silently wondering to each other which side was celebrating. You continued waving your wand over Fred slowly, repeating incantations as you started to feel the energy of both powerful and dark magic around you.
Several death eaters burst into the great hall, the remaining witches and wizards now defending the injured and helpless around them. “You stay with Fred,” Molly kissed the top of your head and she ran to join the others. You continued working over your boyfriend, glancing up periodically to cast a protection bubble around the two of you every few minutes. You glanced up again, noticing Molly going toe to toe with Bellatrix. The dark witch glanced in your and Fred’s direction, tongue running along her dirty, blackened teeth. Molly then threw a curse at her, Bella deflecting it. But Molly didn’t stop, she went again and again, hitting Bellatrix with a stunning spell, then a tightening spell that caused her corset to squeeze her nearly in half. Molly finished her off with one last curse, hitting Bellatrix directly in the chest causing her to disintegrate into bits. A blood curdling scream erupted from outside the castle, followed by an eruption of cheers.
You looked down, running your finger tips over your favorite scar across his cheek, “You hear that Freddie, I think he did it. He beat him. We won, Freddie.” Molly joined you again, followed by Arthur and Charlie. “There’s one more thing to try and wake him, but it’s going to take the four of us to make it powerful enough. Do you think you can do it, darling, do you still have the energy?” Molly was looking at you. You nodded, “Anything.” She hovered her wand over her son, you, Arthur and Charlie doing the same. “The reviving spell, on three.” Arthur counted down, “One…two…three.” You waved your wand as the four of you said it simultaneously Rennervate. You could feel the magic burst from your wand, like it was coming straight from your veins and into Fred. You all sat back, waiting to see any signs of further life. You felt a hand on your waist, trying to grasp on to the bottom of your shirt. You looked down, seeing the hand you had healed just an hour before. “Oh thank Godric,” you held his hand in yours and he squeezed back tightly.
His eyes suddenly opened, a deep gasp escaping his throat as he went to sit up quickly. Arthur and Charlie pushed him back down, holding either shoulder, “It’s alright son, you’re alright. Just breathe. You’re still going to be in quite a bit of pain but Y/n and your mother have healed you well.” You smiled as the tears fell, you were so happy you thought you could burst. The men let Fred sit up on his elbows to glance at the scene around him. He looked at each face of his family members before stopping at yours. You grabbed his hand once more, “How do you feel, Freddie? What still hurts?” He sighed, “I mean everything kind of, but it’s a dull pain. But…I do have a question.” George kneeled down next to his twin, “Anythin’, mate, what is it? You want something to eat? Some fire whiskey to take the edge off?” Fred shook his head, you imagined a million different things he could have asked you all, but nothing could have prepared you for the gut wrenching feeling you got when he made eye-contact with you again before asking,
“W-who are you guys?”
