Holy crud It took me forever to put the relationships and characters down ;-;

Alrighty, this is the...3rd oneshot book I've made.

But i never had a oneshot book so big though.

(THAT DIRTY JOKE WAS NOT INTENDED)

Okay, I'll explain a few rules here for requesting.

1. Do not request smut or sex between blood-related characters, PLEASE. NO. INCEST.

2. Be specific when requesting, don't just type character x reader, give me more detail on what you want me to write, this rule applies to oneshots, headcanons, scenarios and AU's.

3. This should be expected, but I'm putting this down here anyway. I do not write sex scenes with minors In them. Nor do I write minors with a character who is 18+, smut or not.

4. I can also write Polyandry / Polygyny, LGBT+ etc.

5. If you request sexual trauma or rape, I will NOT write It explicitly. Same with gore.

6. I also write character x character and oc x character, If you want me to write a character with your oc you'll have to give me information about their looks, backstory, personality, etc.

7. The maximum of characters I write for headcanons are five, don't request more than that, please.

8. I don't have a grasp on writing foursomes, sorry peeps.

9. I take quite awhile to write AU's so bear with me lol

Chapter 3: Todoroki Shouto x OC (Oneshot)

*Clack*

Shoes hit against the floor as the owner of them walked through the hallway, eventually stopped walking and went up to one of the rooms, opening the door upon hearing laughter.

"Auntie?"

A woman sitting In a chair next to a hospital bed walked up to the girl and hugged her.

"Crystal! Great timing, dear." The woman exclaimed, pulling away from the raven haired girl, pointing over to the hospital bed, "This Is Rei, she's one of the patients here, can you keep her company for a little bit while I take care of something else."

Crystal nodded, her lips forming Into a smile, "Sure." She said, to which her aunt gave her a thumbs up and left the room.

The white haired woman smiled softly, patting the chair Crystal's aunt was sitting In earlier, "Would you like to sit with me, dear?"

"A- Ah! Sure!" The girl hesitantly walked over and sat In the chair by the hospital bed.

She's pretty...

"Do you come to the hospital often?"

Crystal jumped slightly, "Ah...I do sometimes so I can visit my aunt..."

"Well, when you come by..Can you visit me? I would appreciate the company."

Crystal looked up, smiling once more, "Of course!"

Crystal's feet moved back and forth as she wasn't really paying attention In class and looking at the heterochromiac boy who's seat was In front of hers, he turned his head to meet her eyes, aware of her staring and raising a brow. Crystal quickly turned her head, her face was flushed red as she covered It.

He's so quiet...

Steps were heard going down the hallway,

"Don't talk to her, It'll make everything worse than what It Is."

Screw that.

Shouto opened the door, about to say something but widened his eyes when he saw a familiar face.

Crystal turned her head to the door upon hearing It open and her eyes widened also.

After a while of Shouto talking with his mother, reuniting with her and Rei explaining the situation of Crystal visiting her both of the teenagers eventually went together to go visit Rei who would often wink and say something along the lines of, 'You two have been getting close lately' or 'I'm so glad you both are friends'.

And that one day came.

Crystal handed the flowers In the vase to Rei, "Here you go, I hope you like them!"

Rei looked at the flowers and smiled, "Thank you, sweetie. How did you know I like these?"

"It was actually Shouto who told me..." Crystal rubbed her neck, which was as flushed as her face.

"Hm, that's sweet of him...Shame that he doesn't have a girlfriend yet." Rei sent Crystal a wink and the raven haired girl stumbled, her dark brown eyes widening slightly.

"H...How...Did you..."

"Mothers just know, get 'em tiger!" Rei winked again and Crystal came out of the hospital room, more redder than usual.

Shouto raised a brow, "Are you alright?"

"I- I'm fine! I'll just head back home now!"

"I can walk you back If you want?"

"S...Sure!" She squeaked, earning another eyebrow raise from Shouto, but the male said nothing as they headed out the hospital.

Crystal looked up at the sky, eyes widening once more.

"What's wrong?"

"I...I don't have an umbrella..." She admitted, looking at the dark sky as It rained cats and dogs.

"There's a extra one at my place, we can go there and I can get It for you?"

Crystal nodded, "Okay."

The two teenagers headed to the house, turning around and noticing Crystal was soaked from the rain, her uniform somewhat see-through and Shouto quickly turned his head, his face flushing slightly.

"I...I should get you some new clothes, you'll get a cold..."

Crystal looked down, noticing her clothing being wet she flustered, nodding, Shouto went to his room, grabbing a new shirt, It was a little big but he hoped that It would fit her, he came out. Passing the shirt to Crystal. "You can change In the bathroom." He said, the raven haired girl nodded, heading to the bathroom as Shouto searched for that extra umbrella, after finding It he headed to the bathroom, completely forgetting to knock and he opened the door.

"Hey, I found the umbrella and I'll place It nea-" He froze, pausing with his words as his face flushed slightly and Crystal jumped, putting her hands over her chest to hide the bra that she was wearing.

"Sh- Shouto?!" She screeched, stumbling a little as she tried to regain her balance from surprise, she was expecting the male to leave but Instead he walked Into the bathroom, standing In front of her.

"I like you."

Huh...?!

The girl wasn't sure If she should laugh or say that she liked him as well, he just said It with such a straight face which turned Into a pinkish hue after she stayed silent for so long.

Is this even a good time to say that...?

Crystal shook the thoughts out of her head, holding the shirt that he gave her earlier over her chest, she blushed and turned her head away. "I like you as well...But..."

"Hm?"

"Shouldn't we talk about this when I'm...Decent...?"

As If a delayed reaction Shouto's face turned as red as the left side of him, to which Crystal let out a soft chuckle.

"I..I'm sorry."

"It's fine Shouto." She smiled softly as the male headed out of the bathroom.

His lips were dry, maybe a little chapped as well.

The kiss was sloppy but It seemed like neither had cared,

Shouto pulled back and Crystal's eyes widened, "Uh...Shouto?"

"Yes?"

"Your left shoulder Is on fire..."

"Damn It."

Levi:

At first he's just...'What the fuck is this shit'.

Eventually he'll get used to It since It's something that you enjoy.

But just because he's used to It doesn't mean he'll understand.

Eren:

He'll be extremely curious.

He'd genuinely be Interested and ask you questions.

Like, 'Why do you enjoy that so much?'

Way more understanding of It and might actually like It, unlike Levi.

Bakugou:

Doesn't give a shit at first.

Then later on he will eventually get Interested.

He'll listen to you talk about the subject...Sometimes.

Keeps getting emo and goth mixed up and you have to keep correcting him.

Lance turned around, sending Keith a wink. "Relax, we won't be gone long. I just want to see how everything looks on the surface."

Keith let out a sigh, "The stupid things I do with you Is starting to make me question my mental state. Fine, lead th way."

Lance grabbed Keith In a hug grinning, "See?! Was that so hard?"

"Let's just go before I change my mind, fishbreath."

"Why you- You know what, whatever." Lance hmphed, slapping his blue fins across Keith's face as he swam off.

"Ow! Get back here!"

"Catch me first!"

Note

If its okay to ask I am interested in lets say a group of officials have arrived for some sort of inspection/check up which is normal enough and happened before, but for what ever reason when one of the people in this group goes forward to speak our saniwa is visibly uneasy and sacred of them, kind of wilts a little maybe half way stands behind one of the sword boys or grips the back of their clothes. For this one Kasen, Tsurumaru and Kashuu please!

Saniwa uncomfortable around Time Government Official (GN!Reader)

♡ It was a normal meeting with the Time Government, a yearly overview of places the saniwa did well in and places they need to improve on in the future.

♡ The meeting normally took place in the citadel so they could get a good idea of the living space the Touken Danshi were staying in and have the saniwa be more comfortable in their own environment.

♡ It normally only involved the saniwa and the higher ups in the rankings. Sometimes the starter sword, who have seen the sage from the beginning, may be asked to join.

♡ Thus why Kasen stood next to his saniwa as they awaited for the executives to teleport in.

♡ Kasen wore his normal casual outfit but it was clear to anyone who had spent time with him that he dolled himself up more. His hair looked more shiny and neat. His makeup was freshly applied and his skin looked like it was glowing in the sun.

♡ He rested a hand on his saniwa's shoulder to knock them out of their inner monologue with themself. "Don't worry, Aruji. That said you did great last year and you have only continued to improve since then."

♡ Your shoulders loosened and you gave a small smile to your starter sword for his kind words. Kasen returned the gesture as you two looked at each other before the attention was directed to the light that just appeared before them.

♡ Four figures appeared as the light dissipated. All dressed very formerly depending where they came from but there was no mistaking who just arrived in the citadel.

♡ Each of them came up to shake the hand of the saniwa they were coming to meet with. For the most part, everything was going smoothly from Kasen's perceptive... Until the last person.

♡ As soon as they came up to the saniwa, he saw them tense and gently grip Kasen's sleeve. His brow slightly rose as he felt a tug next to him and glanced over to his sage. A nervous expression and cold sweat falling down their neck as the figure approached them to shake their hand.

♡ Kasen didn't need to be a genius to figure out social cues like that.

♡ An elegant smile appeared on his face like normal, almost like he never even lost it as he took the role as host with his saniwa.

♡ As their hand was lifted to grab the saniwa's, Kasen cut in and shook it. It was firm but not so rough to break one's bones. It was a proper handshake as he began to praise the one before him over hearing so much about them.

♡ All the while leading the group to the tea room, glancing back to you to make sure you were alright and taking all the deep breaths you need before you joined them.

♡ When you felt calm enough, you made you way to the tea room to meet the rest of the group. The person that you flinched away from prior gaze stayed on you as you entered the room.

♡ Kasen quickly stepped into his view as he smiled at you. "Aruji, could you get some tea prepared for the guests while I go get your records for these lovely people?"

♡ Kasen's graceful host-like persona quickly won over the Time officials. None of them realizing that he purposely was making sure he alienating one of them from the sage.

♡ As the two left the room, Kasen grasped your hand and whispered into your ear; "I will make sure that they don't interact with you. Just focus on the meeting and I will handle them. I have your back, aruji."

♡ He gave a reassuring squeeze to your hand before he took off to your office to grab your folder.

♡ When you returned to the tea room, Kasen was already sitting next to the person who made you uncomfortable and made sure you were a good distance away from them.

♡ Anytime they would try to ask you a question, he would answer for you or Kasen would start talking to them before they could form the question.

♡ They quickly learned it was better to fall silent and listen to the meeting rather than try to interrogate you with your starter sword around.

♡ When it was time to leave, Kasen was the one to show them out. Insisting that his master had been up for far too long and needed more rest.

♡ The Time Government Officials appeared before the two. Tsurumaru with his huge smile that he always wore greeted the two that just appeared in the citadel.

♡ However, seeing a familiar face, drove you to hide behind Tsurumaru's fluffy white coat. The action surprised him and made him turn around to you, his body blocking you from the two officials.

♡ "That was quite a shock, aruji!" He whispered cheerfully. His golden eyes glanced from your feared expression to the person that was causing it for a moment. "I won't ask... Just follow my lead."

♡ His large sleeve pressed gently against your nose as he turned to the two. "What a surprise! Aruji seems to have a nose bleed. I am going to help them take care of it while..." His eyes darted around until it landed on a figure walking outside. "Azuki-kun! Would you mind showing them to the tea room for us?"

♡ His warm embraced guided you away to the kitchen, all the while making sure he was hiding your face from the figure that was staring at you.

♡ As Tsurumaru entered the kitchen, he let you go and the warmth of his coat quickly left you. Some tea and sweets already on a tray for the meeting taking place today.

♡ A light bulb going off in the trickster crane's mind as he took a single cup of tea and began to pour salt into the, once delicious, tea.

♡ It wasn't a spoon or two... It was straight from the bag... Pouring.

♡ "What are you doing!?"

♡ "I think they need a little surprise to get back for shocking aruji."

♡ His cheerful smile still on his face still looked kind like how he normally was... yet slightly sinister.

♡ He put the cup back on the tray and started to carry it to the tea room as you urged him to not do that since you could get in trouble...

♡ But the crane didn't listen until you both arrived at the room with the duo. Tsurumaru didn't hesitated to start handing the cups out... Making extra sure that they received the salty tea.

♡ Tsurumaru bowed to you and duo as he exited the room to let the meeting commence.

♡ It didn't take long until the person took a sip of their tea, their face scrunching up, and they dashed out into the hall to wash out their mouth from the bathroom.

♡ However... They never returned to the meeting. It was a peaceful discussion with the last Time Official in the room with you. Laughter and enjoying the sweets that Azuki made for the meeting.

♡ When you left with them to show them off, the other Official came stomping up to the portal... Soaking wet, missing a shoe, and it looked like they had soot on their face.

♡ Tsurumaru hurriedly followed behind them with a rag to try to clean them up. They were not having it and just left without a word.

♡ "Oh no... I was just trying to help-" Tsurumaru looked at you and the other concerned. However... You could see through Tsurumaru awful acting. You could see he could break into a smile any moment.

♡ Kashuu stayed up late with you to go over all the questions that they may ask today. The meeting was suppose to be simple but he knew you were nervous about it since they are your bosses.

♡ After the late night quiz, he made you do a face mask and pampered you by doing your nails and talking. Anything to help distract you and relax you for the meeting.

♡ The morning came faster than you wanted but Kashuu stayed beside your side the whole way. Patiently waiting for the group to show up for the meeting. He had promised you the night prior that he would stick with you through the meeting and make sure you could take the rest of the day after to relax. He already had snacks and a movie planned. A terrible romcom that the two of you could complain about.

♡ However that quickly changed when the group finally arrived and Kashuu saw the look on your face. Your hand gripped onto Kashuu's arm to balance yourself as a dizzy spell hit you from seeing that face.

♡ Your body went cold but sweat dripped down your neck. Your hands shaking regardless of your trying to stay composed.

♡ The gall this person had to smile when they saw your face and start to walk to you to take your hand.

♡ Kashuu's crimson eyes sharpened as he stepped in front of you, a glare making the person stop in their tracks.

♡ "We don't allow this person in our citadel. Leave or we will do this meeting another time with a different group." His voice dripped with venom as he crossed his arms over his chest as he glared only at that one.

♡ The other two Time officials looked at each other, confused exactly what to do. They never had something like this happen.

♡ "It isn't my fault they are so scared. I did nothing wrong. Stop being childish, (Y/N). Grow up-"

♡ "Do NOT talk to them like that. With all due respect, if you don't leave this citadel now... I will see you as a threat and be forced to remove you myself." Kashuu checked out his nails, looking bored after his threat.

♡ The time government was no fool over the abilities of the sword under command of the saniwas. They knew Kashuu was a sword that was hard to wield and would do anything to protect the one he treasures the most.

♡ The two female time government officials looked at the third, the one causing the problem, and finally spoke up. "I'm sure having a meeting with just the two of us isn't the biggest problem. How about you head back, I'm sure you have paperwork you need to catch up on."

♡ The last looked at the other two in stupor, only to turn back to Kashuu who was now smugly smiling at them for getting his way. They seethed as they gritted through their teeth, "Fine. Have it your way."

♡ Kashuu's hand slipped behind him and gently to yours as he watched as the unpleasant Official went to the portal and teleported away.

♡ "If they ever show up or try to cause problems, just call me, aruji. I will be there in a heartbeat."

His eyes continued to look around. Many of the students in Heartslabyul where slowly getting up, some others checked those near them to ensure who would get priority. Trey and Cater came in pair as they did the standard first aid after inspection. First checking Deuce before Ace was bandaged entirely.

Yet, his worries did not perish. "But (Y/N) is out there! That Abyss Herald is getting stronger by the second!" Chongyun fought back.

"(Y/N) wouldn't like it if you put yourself in danger for their sake!" Xingqiu tried to hold him back further. Using his vision to ensure both stayed as wet and cold as possible as to not set him off. However, as the spear that flew through the air that landed just before them. Their eyes slowly met the pierced sight of the Abyss Herald's abyssal powered spear had struck through (Y/N)'s armored clothing. Their eyes staring widely at the Abyss Herald as the reinforcements had just only come in the last minute. Chongyun's body heated up with emotions. Pushing past Xingqiu and the rest of the officers to get to (Y/N)'s falling body.

The full blackout episode had begun the moment red met his light colored clothes. Despite his transgression known for its chaotic nature, it remained silent, hateful and protective as any one who could spare an attempt only failed.

Chongyun's tears struck their face yet there was a smile, forced as it was, covered (Y/N)'s face. Their hand pressed against Chongyun's face. "Chongyun..." Your voice was barely above a whisper, yet he listened. "You shouldn't pursue this Abyssal Herald, okay...? Not even for me. Just... Stay safe. Never strain yourself..."

"(Y/N)... Please hold on... Qiqi... Baizhu, they're on their way please!"

"Everyone retreat!" Tsurumaru Kuninaga called out as the leader. His golden eyes met the soaring fire that was shot throughout the sky into the direction of the fellow members of the swords. "Saniwa!" His voice pitched as every other sword turned at the sound of his cry. Every sword's nightmare to had put their very own master in danger had shot through their core. The one master who could not die back in the old Odagumi period. Juzumaru Tsunetgusu, one of the closest swords to reach their Saniwa, pushed his limits in attempts to reach for (Y/N).

"Juzumaru! Stay back!"

"You cannot die here, (Y/N)-sama!" Juzumaru's clear declaration had stunned you as he tackled you as the projectile came down into the very spot. Tsurumaru had sent everyone else ahead to a more secluded area as the picked up rumble cloaked the surroundings. Yet beads moved and there came Juzumaru his eyes closed yet the clear message was enough to prove that whenever he was fast or not had not mattered but it had been because he was not enough to protect their beloved Saniwa.

Tsurumaru's eyes filled to the brim. His throat closed, dry as sandpaper it felt, he parted his lips to try to make sense of his words in his throat. Yet Souza shook his head. "Let's head back... And report to the Government of time."

Bedridden, their saniwa remained in a comatose. Konnosuke remained by their side as Tsurumaru kept coming by to see (Y/N) in hopes they would finally wake up. Yet as time went on, the inevitable had come. Konnosuke had summon every sword, (Y/N) had proudly helped and recovered, to announce the news. Kuronosuke sat besides Konnosuke before the two nodded at each other. "Today, the Government of Time had decided that (Y/N)-sama's time has come and that you all will be set free until another saniwa can and will need your assistance."

Tsurumaru looked at your window, his hands gripping themselves into fist as the rest lost their composure. A replica sword was drawn as everyone backed away from Tsurumaru. His golden eyes stared at the window where the binds were drawn. "If it was meant to be... it shall be where we rest." He murmured a quote from you, he heard when the two of you had gotten stuck once back in time. His tears slipped as Hasebe began to make way in order to stop him. Yet only to come shortly as Tsurumaru Kuninaga's body shattered into a shattered sword. All of the other swords fell to their knees, crumbled under the pressure. Under the guilt and sorrow that just had consumed Tsurumaru, had consumed them all.

Hedoesn’t really expect you to be able to fight; you’re the general that leadsthe army, the one that gives the orders

It’s notnecessary for you to fight, especially since you can just manifest tsukumogamias soldiers in the war you fight

So itcomes as a bit of a surprise when you insist on joining the frontlines; youassure your swords that you know what you’re doing and won’t be a hindrance

The swordsare naturally reluctant because things can change in an instant, it’s just toodangerous; no one wants to lose you

So youcompromise and say that if you defeat, or at least match the strength of, oneof the swords going to sortie, then that should prove that you’re able tohandle yourself

The swordsagree and Nikkari offers to be your “plaything” with that unfathomable smile ofhis

You takethe battle outside and end up being so fired up, you forget to hold back a bitand consequently end up injuring the wakizashi

Itbecomes evident that you’re extraordinarily strong, if his injuries areanything to go by

You’re apologeticand uttering about how you should have held back, but Nikkari just laughs itoff and says he’s glad you fought seriously and that injury is expected

All theother swords are stunned by your display of strength finesse, especially sinceyou never seemed to be the type to fight, and to fight so well at that

But becauseNikkari is injured you have to find a replacement for the team going on sortie andyou handle that rather quickly

Ultimatelyyou decide to stay behind to tend to the injuries you caused yourself (to the reliefof all the swords)

As youtend to his wounds he warns you that the battlefield is dangerous, no matter howskilled you are, and that he’s glad you didn’t go

You canonly gently chastise him, saying that as the leader that you should see it atleast once, otherwise how can you better understand the swords or what’snecessary of you?

Nikkari onlylaughs in a mysterious way, wondering how he came to have such a capable andconsiderate master

Tsurumaru Kuninaga

It’s asurprise for him when he learns you’re able to fight

Not reallythough, as he’s one of the more observant swords he’s able to notice that you’vehad some kind of training for combat

It’s inthe little mannerisms you have, from the way you’re able to respond almostinstantaneously to catch a tantou that’s tripped or the way you manage to evadenearly all of Tsurumaru’s surprises

Though ofcourse, he’s naturally curious if he’s correct and the extent of your abilities

And intrue Tsurumaru fashion, finds out a way he can do so while also (hopefully)surprising you

So withthat in mind he decides to approach you from behind, though he’s not able toexecute his plan very far

You endup throwing him across the room after delivering a solid strike to the solarplexus and he hits the opposite wall with a small oof

Despitethe fact that he anticipated you striking back, he’s the one surprised, consideringyour response time and the fact you thoroughly aimed to disengage yourself froma dangerous situation, even though you’re in the citadel where you’d leastexpect to find an enemy

He’s abit winded but he gives you a thumbs up from across the room and makes a ruckusabout how surprised he is that you threw him across the room

It’s thenyou realize that you tossed one of your swords across the room, but you aren’t surprisedthat it’s Tsurumaru

He thinksthat maybe you aren’t a master who will die so easily since you’re able toreact so quickly to protect yourself and is assured that you’re a master thatcan defend yourself

Heintends to keep his distance as he always has and letting the other swords lookafter you despite all this though and keeps such thoughts a secret

It isn’tas if it had been a proper fight, but Tsurumaru bounds up to you saying howimpressive you are and says that you should have mentioned you could fightsooner

He also half-jokinglysuggests that perhaps next time, you can join him on the battlefield andsurprise all the other swords

Ookurikara

Doesn’treally think much about how small you are; he doesn’t plan on getting alongwith you regardless of how you are, so it doesn’t matter to him

He findsout about how you can fight when you find yourself a bit frustrated with hisbehavior, with his constant insistence of doing everything alone (even if youunderstand why he is the way he is)

Youchallenge him to fight you one on one with the intention of making him acknowledgeyou, because at the very least, you don’t want to be ignored or pushed aside whenyou address him

He scoffsand figures that if he beats you, you’ll leave him alone so he agrees (and hedoesn’t want to deal with you continuing to insist if he refused)

Hefigures that with such a small and presumably weak master such as yourself it’dbe an easy win anyway

Each ofyou takes one of the wooden practice swords and spar with each other

It’s afairly heated match and you manage to come out victorious one way or another

Hedoesn’t really show it but he’s surprised when you take a proper stance, andeven more so when you wield the sword with a finesse he hadn’t expected

He’s abit surprised since he wasn’t expecting to be defeated by you and unconsciouslyfinds himself comparing you to the tantou (it’s because you’re so small)

Ookurikarais definitely forced to rethink his assessment of you being weak; his image ofyou has improved and he ends up conceding that he’ll at least acknowledge youwhen you approach

You havethe read between the lines to really see it, but he acknowledges your skillwith the sword, even if he only faced you in a practice match and he sees youas strong and capable

He’s trueto his word and every time you approach, he acknowledges your presence even ifhe only glares or gives a noncommittal noise

If youever bring up wanting to help at the frontlines or something similarly risky,Ookurikara will tell you that you’re capable, but that you should leave thefighting to the swords, but of course in his own Ookurikara way

Ichigo Hitofuri

Honestlyis probably a bit worried initially; you’re just so small and he sees you asdelicate because of that

Then hereminds himself a lot of his brothers are small and even seem delicate, but aremore than capable of taking care of themselves

But thenagain, just because you’re small like his brothers doesn’t mean you are stronglike them as well

He’sstuck between thinking of you as being capable of defending yourself even if itdoesn’t seem like it, or maybe you really are as delicate as you appear

Ultimatelyhe forces himself not to stick to any one assumption; maybe you just appeardelicate and you’re capable of protecting yourself, but perhaps not…

Still hecan’t shake off his concerns and his uncertainly pushes him to make a suggestionthat you should learn some defensive moves from the swords

Ichigo’soffer comes across as him being concerned for your safety and well-being, whichdoesn’t strike you as being odd since he seems to be considerate of everyone

You tryto appease his worries by assuring him that you’ve already learned to disarm apursuer and that you know to incapacitate them so you can flee

Though youalso bring up that while that might be effective for your original time, thatit may not be so pragmatic in an actual battle, which results in you asking himto teach you

You decideto start your little impromptu session with him by demonstrating what you knowfirst, so that way he knows what you’re capable of

Thus,Ichigo pretends to be an attacker (though, of course, he’s more far more gentleand considerate than an actual attacker would be) and he’s satisfied to knowthat you should be able to get away from a human, but you’re not against normalpeople, not in the same way you’re used to encountering

And heinsists that you learn to defend yourself beyond just getting away and youagree, though he’s a bit surprised to see you can hold your own in a fightunarmed

You actuallymanage to unarm him and subdue him without expending a great deal of effort

You sheepishlyadmit that you do have experience in a number of…confrontations, but that youdon’t know how to fight armed

And so youtry to convince Ichigo to teach you to fight with a sword, though it doesn’t takemuch since he’s the one that started this in the first place

Hi! Could I request a Yasusada x male!sword!reader scenario? (Or Hotarumaru if you'd rather not write Yasusada??) thank you!

this is a bit long so the rest is under the cut

It was nice joining the castle and living with others justlike myself. all swords who perfectly understand each other. but one of themstood out as he stayed by my side more than the rest, he was the one who greetedme when I arrived, and the one who showed me excitedly around the place and introducedme to the others, and the one who watched my back during every mission we wenttogether.

Yasusada have been there every time I needed him… and whenhe wasn’t there, it simply became boring and hard to do anything.

.. I honestly and stupidly thought that he’s being there forme, and only me!

but as I stayed here and saw how he acts around the others,greeting them every morning, helping with their works, fight beside them inmissions, I realized I was mistaken.

This realization did nothing but throwing me in a loop ofoverthinking and pain. and made me back away from him.

I knew how I felt toward him all along… but that because Ithought he felt the same right? now I know he doesn’t these feels must go away.

It’s not that easy.

Today is the perfect day to go on a mission, the sun shiningbut the weather’s not hot, and everyone in a good spirit after staying coupleof weeks with no missions at all.

I wonder who aruji choose to go this time… I wish it’s me,it’s been quite a while since I stretched my muscles.

“everyone listen” came Hasebes voice “these are the names ofthe ones who’re going today”

everyone gathered to hear the names, “Yamanbagiri Kunihiro”,he tried to hide his excitement with not much success, “Nikkari Aoe”, he smiledin satisfaction, “Yasusada Yamatonokami”, he’s going … ,” Tsurumaru Kuninaga”, god helpthose going with him, “Ichigo Hitofuri”,his little brothers are happier than him for some reason, “and the leader isy\n”, ME? I’ve never taken the lead before!!

“I-I don’t think this is a good Idea”

“sorry y\n, it’s aruji’s orders… I really hoped it’d be methis time”. Hasebe didn’t show much interest in what I have to say… the leader,how am I supposed to do this? I am new here and with not much experience, willit be alright?

We’re leaving now.

The swords standing behind me, the little once stillcheering for their brother like it’s his first mission ever, Nikkari doingsomething with his jacket, Yamanbagiri staring at me waiting for us to leave, Tsurumarustretching his arms and looking ready to take whatever’s coming, Yasusadafixing the tie on his hair. as I looked towards him he left up his head and oureyes met for a split second… No stop this.

“is everyone ready? here we go!”. if he did not look at meat that moment, we probably will still be at the castle right now…

Everyone did a great job at this mission. everyone but me…

I kept thinking about him that I did not notice two of the enemiesattacking me, and what happened next? it got WORSE, he took them both byhimself, like he always did. I’m not sure if he asked if I got hurt because I ranaway from him, and made sure we’ve been separated the whole time until we’reback.

now we are back I don’t know if I can even look at his way. embarrassmentmixed with all the old feelings is killing me!

everyone got to their rooms and I’m still sitting here, forwhat reason? of course thinking about him…

“are you alright y\n?” … that voice!! “you’re not your usualself lately. something bad happened?”

“why… no.. yah I’m fine”. I tried to avoid his eyes as much asI could

“Did something happen in the last week? or the week before?”

“n-no .. nothing at all”.

“have I done something bad?”

“what?”. what the hell is he saying now?

“I don’t know. you seemed angry with me for quite a while… Ifigured that I’ve done something without meaning to that made you mad”

Oh no!

“n-no Yasusada you did not”

“you mind if I sit with you?”

I didn’t even have to answer, he did anyways.

“you were amazing at the mission today, you’ve killed morethan you ever did in a mission!”… Did I?..”you usually kill one or two buttoday you got THREE!! you also helped Ichigo with one, that was AWESOME!!”…hearing him saying that.. “I got so excited when you became the leader, it’syour first time! we will remember this mission forever”

“I don’t think so”

“why is that?”

“I put you and the others in danger… this is not somethingfor a leader to do”

“it’s alright stuff like this happens”

“… sorry for troubling you today”

“y\n.. not at all. we’re team aren’t we”

what am I supposed to say now… I only wish for him to sithere for the whole night.

“I love the way you fight”

“what???”

“since your first mission I noticed how you hold your sword…the way you swing it is so beautiful”

there was a moment of slice, in that I can feel my bloodrushing to my head.

“I hope we can go to more missions together… it’s not thesame when you’re not there”

is he really saying that?? “I … me to”

“what do you think about me when I fight?”

… “it’s… will.. it’s cool I guess”

“Kashuu always told me to be stronger and faster, I neverlisted to him until you joined us”

“why me?”.I meant to tell him he also was amazing when hekilled two at once all by himself….

I turned my head his way… he’s already looking at me withthose eyes …

“I’m not sure… something about you makes me want to bebetter. it’s like wanting to be up to your standards”… even in this darkness I cansee his face redder that usual.

“i… don’t know what you mean”

“we were getting closer, and then you turned away from me allof a sudden…. I thought I may be the problem” there’s some sadness to his voice

you are not!

“are you saying you wanted to get closer to me?”

“will… I still want to!”

“I ,,, I .. well.. want that too”. I SAID IT!!

“really??” I’ve never seen him smile this wild before.

“yah.. I wanted this the whole time… it’s.. you see.. I thoughtyou don’t think that way so I .. uh .. kept my distance”. my face is boiling!

“aww NO!.. sorry for not showing you that”

“yah it’s okay now.. I guess”. if one put me under the lightyou’ll see my heart beating out of my chest.

“it’s funny you said that, all the others thought we’resleeping together”

“wait WHAT??”

“haha yah… even aruji told me to get hold of myself aroundyou.. it’s weird you’re the only one who did not see that”

now my heart IS out of my chest!

“we can try that, you know”

“try what?”

“the sleeping part”

Minamoto Kiyomaro, Suishinshi Masahide, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga with self-sacrificing saniwa (GN!Reader)

♡ Raindrops fell on Abe fortress at Siege of Kuriyagawa, as darkness lingered around Minamoto. He wasn't alone in the underground levels of the fortress... They lingered in the shadows, circling and circling.

♡ Minamoto ended up getting separated from the group as the assault began on the fortress. The rain could not put out the fire and he felt a mix of dread and lack of oxygen get to him. The one time he had wished he was not given a human form.

♡ If it weren't for the rattling of bones from the Tantou HRA, Minamoto might of tried to patch his bleeding wounds and escape before the fire trapped him below.

♡ Of course it wasn't that easy. HRA had one job and seeing as they were close to failing, they were trying to at least take out one Touken Danshi. A foolish touken danshi that was lead right into a trap after thinking that they had the mission won and needn't to worry any further.

♡ Now he was stuck in the darkness as the tantous flew back and forth through the darkness, cutting Minamoto until blood started to blur his vision. His leg had given out as he sat on the ground and swung around him in hopes of getting at least one of them.

♡ "...Oh no." He coughed out as his lungs begged for air. Clouds of smoke bellowed out into the darkness, bringing slight light with it. He could only guess that meant that the door was broken down on the raid.

♡ His legs ached as he made a run for the door to escape. He had no plan other to at least get out from the underground section of the fortress. The tantous had another idea as they cut the back of his thighs....

♡ The pain never came.

♡ Instead a yelp of pain came from behind, a small turn of his head was all he needed to convince himself to go back. His Saniwa. When did they get down here? Why did they take the hit for him.

♡ His arms swept under them, clenching onto their body.

♡ "Aruji? Aruji!? Hey- Stay awake. Come on-"

♡ Panic arose in his veins. He knew he wasn't fully human and could withstand the dark smoke way more than an actual human... Regardless, they pushed themselves down here to save a sword that was doomed.

♡ He heard the faint voice of Suishinshi with the rest of the team call out for him and Saniwa.

♡ Tears billowed out of the corners of his eyes as he tried to cover his master's mouth from the smoke. An bloodcurdling scream exploded from his suffocated throat as he yelled for help.

♡ That was the last thing he could remember as everything faded to black. Perhaps the smoke finally got him. Perhaps he was broken to forever forget about the saniwa that changed his life. Perhaps the team found him just as he passed out.... He just wanted his master safe.

♡ A deep inhale caused the sword to feel a force push back against him. Something to keep him from taking a breath. A cough spasmed out of his body as his body curled in on itself from trying to intake a rush of air. His lavender eyes slowly opened to find himself in the infirmary.

♡ Another bed not too far from him laid his saniwa who was sleeping peacefully.

♡ All the pain in the whole world could not stop him from rising from the bed, stumbling over to them and holding their hand.

♡ Anxiety slowly faded away as he realized that they were breathing fine... Almost like they were just taking a nap. A shaky sigh left his body as he left his neck lose the strength to hold it up and rested it on their conjoined hands.

♡ "Stupid Saniwa. Don't you know we don't want to lose you? Stop being so reckless."

♡ Droplets fell upon their hand but that was a story he would never tell them. When they awoke, that lazy grin would be on his face once again and telling their saniwa that they knew they would wake up but not to do that again.

♡ The Battle of Koromo River was a dangerous battle for everyone involved. The Touken Danshi, the HRA, the army, and especially for the saniwa that insisted on coming along even when Suishinshi refused to let them go.

♡ Like he had any real power in that situation.

♡ "My liege, it's far too dangerous. The HRA could target you or you could drown! I refuse to let you go." "Suishinshi, I will be fine. If you are so worried, you can be the sword that sticks by my side and protect me."

♡ No matter how badly he didn't want them to go, he knew they were stubborn and their orders go. So at least Suishinshi could be the sword that gets to stay by their side and ensure they were safe.

♡ He should of stood his ground and left without them.

♡ The rushing waters on either side of them only continued to rise as the army marched across the Koromo River. Many getting washed away and drowning... But that was history.

♡ They could not save everyone. Their job was to stop the HRA from helping the imperial army gain a victory in their favor.

♡ The HRA knew the Touken Danshi were at a disadvantage trying to stop their forces from getting to the battlefield. Their attacks were reckless from trying to break through the Touken Danshi's stronghold. Pushing and pushing, either to get passed or to push them into the waters to drown-

♡ Perhaps that is why the saniwa insisted on coming... Every chance a sword would fall into the water, they would teleport them back on land before they hit the water. The continuous use of their power quickly drained on them as they panted for air and looked pale.

♡ Suishinshi eyes kept glancing next to him to the sage and then focused back to the battle. He was in no better shape than the sage.

♡ Each attack forced them further and further back to the rushing waves of the river.

♡ "As the leader of this operation, my liege, LEAVE. You aren't going to help if your powers run out here. Run!"

♡ His voice was hoarse as he gritted his teeth to push back the HRA forces that wanted nothing more than to get to the sage.

♡ A single step back -

♡ He felt his world shift as he fell backwards, plummeting into the dark waters below. His already large eyes grew into wide circles, as his hand reached out for anyone to grab him. It seemed like the battle field had lost sound. Even the saniwa before him whose mouth was open and like they were screaming for him, could not be heard. A harsh cold washed over him as the force made him breathe the dark water that swallowed him whole.

♡ His body kicked and panicked as it tried to get out of the waves that were pushing him deeper and down the stream.

♡ A light feeling overtook his body. The panic turning into relaxation as the cold air shook the water from his mouth and he found himself on the ground next to the saniwa. They looked exhausted, nevertheless shared a smile at the sword who was coughing up the nasty water from his soul.

♡ He wanted to do nothing more to yell at the saniwa for not running away... but as a last bit of water came out, his vision was blocked by the sage's body. Blood falling onto the ground in front of him as the saniwa's body was thrown back...

♡ The only thing Suishinshi could do in that moment was watch as their body fell into the water and try to grab them. Gravity forcing them into the abyss after than Suishinshi could react.

♡ Panic, Fear, Anger... Violence.

♡ Suishinshi couldn't remember exactly what happened after. He knew that he became a reckless force against the HRA and that the team had to stop him from diving into the waters to try to find the saniwa.

♡ Everything was a haze the next few days without his liege by his side. Constantly teams when to that era to try to find their saniwa. They knew they were alive since they still had their human forms... But where.

♡ Minamoto was the only thing that kept Suishinshi from staying in that era and exhausting himself to the point of being a danger to himself as well.

♡ It was Monoyoshi that ended up finding the sage. Suishinshi heard the news, pushed everyone out of his way and stood in front of his saniwa who looked well... but very tired.

♡ "I'm home, Sui-" "You're stupid. So stupid. I told you to run. I told you to leave because you were in the way but you didn't listen. You never listen. You came to the mission even though I said it was dangerous and-"

♡ His body trembled as all the anger he held faded and it left a scared sword in front of them. The Saniwa wasted no time, hugging the trembling form as he tried to hold back his tears.

♡ "Don't ever do that again. I won't forgive you a second time-"

♡ Battle of Uji was going well, all things considered. Tsurumaru had his saniwa to thank for that. When they told the team that they were joining them on the battlefield, even the white crane was surprised.

♡ The saniwa had made some blessed tags with their power a few days ago when they heard an invasion may come upon them. What better way to test out if they work than going to the brunt of the battle with the team?

♡ The tags involved getting close to the enemies which resulted with Tsurumaru and the saniwa becoming close partners. Tsurumaru was quick on his feet with an elegant grace of a bird. His attacks were share and precise parrying the enemies' attacks and letting the sage tag them.

♡ An explosion soon followed after. A shocked grin and a clap on the saniwa's back after their first encounter.

♡ "Aruji, the ultimate surprise in the citadel! I may need to stick around you for some tips."

♡ They both knew that Tsurumaru would find a way to surprise them when they got back to the citadel. He wasn't one to let someone have the last surprise no matter what.

♡ The ground shook under their feet. Tsurumaru instantly grabbing onto his master to help them stay upright from the tremors whole the earth.

♡ Was it an earthquake? There shouldn't be one during this battle...

♡ That is when a large shadow enveloped them. Their bodies slowly turned to see a large Ootachi stand before them. No, large didn't describe it. This monster was three times the size of a normal Ootachi.

♡ A snarl left a string of drool drop from their lips as they rose his large sword to crush the puny ants in front of him.

♡ Tsurumaru's eyes darted around maniacally, looking for escape. His body wrapped the saniwa in his white coat as he booked it away from his swing. No matter how fast Tsurumaru praised himself for... he was not fast enough to get out of the range of the swing in time.

♡ Pain burned in his back as the force pushed him over onto the ground but trying his hardest to not fall on top of the Saniwa. His once perfect white outfit was now sprayed with crimson. A small joyful left his mouth in hysterical notes.

♡ "You've seen me dyed in red and white... even if you die right after, you should celebrate it."

♡ Adrenaline bursts through the veins preparing himself for the fight. Even with the large wound on his back, Tsurumaru was ever graceful. Almost as if he was hopping from side to side with the air gliding him to avoid the heavy attacks coming his way.

♡ But the Saniwa knew far too well that Tsurumaru's strength would quickly fade if he could not defeat the enemy quick enough and... no. They didn't want to think of the outcome if Tsurumaru became exhausted before that.

♡ A quick look at their tags was all they needed to be sure of their decision.

♡ Tsurumaru hopped from the side of their sword, flinging his body into the air as he cut the collarbone of the gigantic Ootachi. The enemy wasn't going to take that and let him fall to the ground. Their arm lifted and hit the crane to the ground with a large crash as the solid earth broke under him.

♡ The enemy was preparing to raise it's sword once more to finish the bird that was annoying him throughout the whole battle... But a high pitch whistle caught his attention from his side.

♡ There stood Saniwa, as they took off in a sprint away from Tsurumaru after they got the Ootachi's attention. The HRA knew what target was more valuable, without a second thought it followed slowly behind the sage.

♡ "Aruji! No..." Tsurumaru breath came out in a whimper as he tried to reach out to the fading figure in the distance. His bones ached and no matter how determined he was to go after them, his body would no longer allow it.

♡ Spotted darkness started to overtake his vision, focusing on a tree branch in hopes it would keep him stable in the moment but no matter what... His consciousness faded with the final emotion of worry.

♡ When awoken mind rose his eyelids up, he saw a familiar room. It was the infirmary. A look down showed a bundle of wrappings from his check to the abdomen. Was the slash that large?

♡ He was sore and movement was nearly impossible, but there was something more important. Saniwa.

♡ He pushed himself up and off the bed, using any furniture and walls he could to lead himself outside into the hall.

♡ There stood Saniwa about to come into the infirmary. White wrapping in their hands as they looked up in awe at the awoken sword. Their skin in some parts looked burned pretty harshly and some bandages could be seen from the ends of their clothing.

♡ "Tsurumaru? You shouldn't be up-"

♡ Tsurumaru found himself grinning at their voice as he brought his hands up to pinch their cheeks. His body leaning forward due to no longer being balanced against a wall. Saniwa quickly caught his arms and held him upright, even dropping the bandages in their hand.

♡ "I'm a bad influence on you, aruji! Look at how much you shocked me in that battle... But I wasn't the biggest fan of that surprise. So don't scare me like that again, alright?"

Horror Game Shenani-canons | Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Heshikiri Hasebe

Warnings: I’m a wuss but I do enjoy horror games. I love the passion that goes into them and the lore and art and shit but like...it has to be day, lights on, and someone has to play the games not me. I can’t handle that.

Oh man okay Tsurumaru does enjoy horror games, though it depends on what he’s in the mood for. There are times he’ll want to play more jumpscare based games for the thrill, the excitement! Then there are times he wants to play the classics, the atmospheric ones like Silent Hill, Haunting Ground, and others! If this were a modern au, Tsuru would be that one streamer who plays nothing but horror games but have the chaotic energy all through it; threatening to stab a ho and dying when his plan of stabbing doesn’t work.

Tsuru does not play games that has children in terrible situations or assaulted or killed. As much as he would love to play the Fatal Frame games of 1 and 2, it causes him to panic and worry more for the younger protagonists. He can play three since they have more adult characters. Rule of Rose is a no-go, has threatened to kill the main baddies on more than one occasion.

If you enjoy horror games and are dating Tsuru, expect him to play with you a lot! You probably introduced them to him! You will probably be sitting on his lap or him on your lap and play together! If you get scared, Tsurumaru will wrap his arms around you and cackle. Sometimes will scare you as well! There’s a scary part? Bam! Tsurumaru will scream just to make you jump. He’ll apologize in the end though.

You look at a horror game with Mitsutada in the same room as you and he will run the opposite direction. Like Tsurumaru, any games with children getting hurt and brutalized is a big fat no.

He just can’t handle scary games in general, and don’t even think about scary movies. No. He’s like me. If you really want to convince it, it has to be a sunny day, all lights on, you have main controls and blankets and pillows and nothing but cuddles after you two play. You will find Mitsu screaming ALL of the time, even at breaks of the game where there is no tension!

Yeah uh Tsurumaru can’t be in the same room as Mitsutada when he plays horror games, you will find Mitsutada on the OPPOSITE end of the citadel, farthest away from Tsuru and whatever shit he is up to.

Hasebe on the other hand acts all tough, “Oh you wish to play this game with me? Of course! I will!” will act all brave but the minute you two start up the game “nope-ity nope, that ain’t dope”

Immediately starts shaking when you boot up the game, screaming at every interval like Mitsu and is lie, “N-No! I’m fine! I promise!” he is not.

Will want to hold your hand and have blankets around while you two play. You can just feel the fear emanating off of this man.

And then all of you go to play together and uh.

You have never seen Mitsutada cry out of fear before and Hasebe almost dying.

If you cannot handle horror games like those two, Tsurumaru will get the bIGGEST KICK outta scaring you all. Nightmares for weeks, popping out of the corner with a scream and cause you three to almost collapse in terror.

If you are a big horror game then you two play pranks on Mitsu and Hasebe, of course you will stop if those two have had enough.

If anything it’s you, Hasebe, and Shoku all curled up in a blanket with popcorn and lights everywhere while Tsurumaru is in his little dark corner cackling away at your expressions.

All of you argue whether or not to keep the lights on during games. Tsuru wants it off and there is NO WAY that Hasebe and Mitsu will allow him.

Cuddles for days for ShokuHase atter this, lord do they need it. Tsurumaru will cuddle you as well if you are up for it.

And then Tsurumaru cuts the lights during the game and ShokuHase almost pass tf out.

hi. i'm going through a bit of a rough patch bc of my home life, so can i please have shokudaikiri, tsurumaru, and hasebe (separate) conforting a gn reader after their home life turns sour after they cut ties with their family? thank you- sorry if this is a bit heavy for your usual requests...!

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I hope things get better for you soon, dear. I hope that these headcanons help a little and make you smile.

Things will get better! I promise.

Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Tsurumaru Kuninaga, and Heshikiri Hasebe Comforting Reader (Gn Reader)

♡ All three would catch on pretty quick that you aren’t doing too well because of outside citadel problems. Mitsutada is the most patient with you. He would not force the conversation or ask about what is going on because he really doesn’t know if you want to talk about it.

♡ He is really gentle with you during this time and observes you from a far before acting because he doesn’t want to risk accidentally making you spiral down.

♡ So he gives you all his comfort through his cooking. He makes his best dishes and your favorite meals with a note attached to it with small encouraging words. Like, “Fighting! Keep going”, “Be sure to eat this before it gets cold or I will give you the pouting puppy eye :(”, and “Poured my love into this one so it’s extra tasty for you”.

♡ Even if he doesn’t confront you right away, he still watches and makes sure you are not overworking yourself or sleeping too much. He thinks you can get through this and can take your time to heal but doesn’t want you to do anything to damage your health.

♡ If he thinks you are getting to that point, he steps across the line and asks you to start helping him in the kitchen. Just so you can get out of your room and be around others, perhaps distract yourself from thoughts.

♡ Even if you don’t know how to cook, he is patient with you and helps you through it all. Giving you compliments when you catch on or make something tasty with him. He loves having you there with him.

♡ He may even try to get you to smile slightly by purposely messing up on cooking and getting his face all a mess with flour or another ingredient.

“If you weren’t here, I would have to clean this all up by myself. I’m happy you are with me.”

♡ If you feel comfortable opening up your heart to him about what has been going on, he holds your hand and listens with his whole attention on you. All the while, his gloved thumb is rubbing soothing circles on the back of your hand.

♡ He knows that people deal with hardship in different ways so he asks you what he can do to help you the most he can with dealing with this.

♡ If you wish for him to be around more, he would with no hesitation. Cooking sessions turn into nightly cuddle sessions where he holds you if you want to feel not alone.

♡ These alone moments together, he would tell you everything he loves about being apart of your citadel and how his family was only his little brother, Sadamune, and him but overtime he would view you as family as well.

“Even the moments you feel like you are alone, you’re not. There is so many of us that see you as family. We started off as strangers and became friends over the years... Little did we realize at the time, we also became family. I am happy to have met you and grown so close to you. I will always be there for you, (Y/N).”

♡ Tsurumaru is, surprisingly, probably the first to actually notice that something is going on because he notices very small cues in people when they are dealing with something. Even if he acts like he is all about jokes, he actually really considerate of others feelings and really good at reading others.

♡ Once he notices, he is around much more often. He doesn’t want you to be lost in your head with those thoughts all alone.

♡ Walking to the bathroom? BOO! Tsurumaru was awaiting behind a corner to scare you. A smile beaming as you scold him for suddenly appearing out of no where.

“Should of seen your face, aruji! For the first time in a while, it was actually back to the normal aruji I saw on the daily.”

♡ Tsurumaru doesn’t beat around the bush like some other swords. He would let you know that he is aware that you aren’t mentally all there but won’t press any further.

♡ He would let you know that he is there for you if you wish to confide in him but won’t make you talk about it.

♡ It’s his own way to let you know that those darker thoughts don’t need to be faced alone. A step into your safe bubble but he quickly takes his foot back before he pops it. He doesn’t want you to feel threatened because he knows that you are dealing with things behind the curtains that you aren’t letting others know about currently.

♡ He lets you go on about your day after that small interaction. That wouldn’t be the last you see of him, though. He makes it his new mission to somehow interact with you.

♡ From surprises, to delivering meals if you don’t feel like eating with the rest of the citadel, to Tsurumaru offering to dance for you to take your mind off it... Even for an hour.

♡ Perhaps some would find this annoying if they wish to be left alone but they have a crane constantly jumping in, but he is seriously trying to help in his own unique way.

♡ Tsurumaru’s whole life was constantly getting passed to master to master. Never having one place to truly call home. He saw how so many dealt with the thoughts they didn’t want others to know about and wants to finally be able to help in his human form.

♡ If he ever gets too under your skin, let him know. He wants to make you smile, not cause you more anguish.

♡ If/when you open up to him about it, it’s a rare time where Tsurumaru is silent and simply listening. No smile, just taking it all in. He lets you get it all out before he finally opens his mouth. This time, the joyful voice is not present. For once, a completely serious crane is in front of you.

“I’m very old... Even if I don’t act it. My whole life I been passed around. Did you know that I was buried with one of my masters? Thought I was going to stay there with him. Forever under the ground. However, that didn’t happen. Someone robbed his grave and took me from him. Constantly moving. All those years taught me this; Our true home isn’t always our first home. I miss the happy memories with them but I know it was good that I kept moving. As much as it hurt. I found a place where I am truly happy and with people who really care. Here. Here is where I met true friends and you. My true home. So... It’s going to hurt and let yourself grieve, but you will find your true home where people will love you for you. All your strengths and flaws, we will love it all.”

♡ A smile on his face, a somber one for a change. He would gently pat your head as you let out all the pain that is in your heart. He would stay with you through it all so you know that you are never truly alone.

♡ Hasebe figuring out that you aren’t doing well mentally takes a little time. Not because he doesn’t notice, more so he thinks you might be coming down with a cold.

♡ He may or may not overreact and get all the medically trained swords to come look at you and ask all the swords who are on kitchen duty to make you healthy meals to help you get better faster.

♡ When Yagen (or Hakusan) comes back and tells him that you are in perfect health, he is honestly so confused.

♡ He cares about you, a lot. So much so that he gets very frustrated with himself when he is unable to help and just take all the pain away. Might be a little on edge and lash out at the other swords because of this. Not your fault, just him dealing with his own emotions.

♡ Hasebe is someone who is very vocal about how much he loves his master, after they have been together for a while and he grows to trust them. So you almost don’t notice how much affectionate words he gives you has increased.

♡ Hasebe knows he can’t just go in there and demand you to feel better so he does what he knows best. He compliments you with his whole heart. He lets you know how much he appreciates you for taking him in and giving him a master he could always trust. Someone who wouldn’t throw him away like his first master.

♡ He constantly has to fight with himself because he wants to just be there. He wants to be in the same room as you and be there if you even look slightly teary eyed. He knows he can’t. Not only would that crowd you beyond belief but might make things way worse.

♡ He would never want to make you hate him.

♡ If he hears you crying one night, he stands out in the hallway debating whether to enter and embrace you right there and then.

♡ Instead, he knocks and asks if you are still awake. He doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable and force you into a situation where you feel like you have to explain why you are crying.

♡ He will ask if you want some tea to help you sleep, if you respond to him. A simple gesture to show that he cares about your wellbeing and to let you know that you aren’t alone. You don’t have to cry by yourself.

♡ If you invite him in for tea after, he would gladly accept and be there with you to comfort you.

♡ It is then he will ask if you are alright and if you wish to talk about what is on your mind.

♡ Expressing what happened and how upset you are will leave him heartbroken for you. As well as angry. Wishing he could go to the people who hurt you right then and there and make them pay. He doesn’t but the desire is in the corner of his mind.

♡ He would gently wipe away your tears with his thumb before hugging you. Giving you a nice back rub as he lets you cry into his shoulder, if you need to.

“I wish I could take all this pain away, aruji. I love and care about you so much that seeing you like this kills me. You mean the world to me and I would never leave your side. You would have to fight me to have me leave, you get that. I will always be there. Even if I’m not the best with advice... I will always be a shoulder you can lean on. I will tell you how much you mean to me and how lucky I am. Not just as a sword, but as a man too. To have such a lovely person as my own master? Gods... They must have smiled down at me and I am forever grateful.”

Halloween, the day where everyone gets dressed up and celebrates their more spooky side. It was a day that most of the swords had never experienced or even heard of. It was the first year of being together with this new group that you called your family and you wanted to make it the best day you could possibly imagine. Halloween was one of your favorite holidays and now you get to share it with the people you cherished the most in the world.

The citadel was the most active it had ever been. After you had explained to everyone what Halloween entailed and how you wish to celebrate it with everyone, they all got to work.

Some worked on their costumes for the big day while also giving a hand to the tantous so they could dress up as their dream costume. Others went out shopping to get plenty of candy for everyone to trick or treat to door to door in the citadel, as well as decorations for the halls and outside. Others were carving pumpkins and decorating to put around.

It was just around the corner. There was only a few things left to do before it was perfect.

You had been running around constantly throughout the entire week, helping all the swords as well as doing your own duties on the side. It was something you enjoyed so much and looked forward to everyday to begin again. Part of you was going to be sad when the 31st would end and the big celebration would be over. Normal everyday missions would start anew and it wouldn't be until the next holiday to get this excited again.

You were in the kitchen, stirring in ingredients to make caramel for the apples. It was the last job you had to do for the festival that everyone decided they wanted to have for the morning part of Halloween. When night falls, that is when they would have the tantous trick or treat and get them off to bed before the horror movies for those who wished to watch. Everyone was finishing what they needed to do, leaving you alone in the kitchen to think over everything. Happiness budding in your chest as you thought about everyone's expression when they get to celebrate this holiday for the first time.

You were so distracted in your own thoughts that you didn't even realized someone had entered the kitchen behind you, sneaking up ever so silently.

"Hey, you need a... hand?"

A deep voice brought you back to reality as you felt something light touch your right shoulder. Barely turning you head, you saw a skeletal hand and skull staring into with the voids of what should of been eyes. A yelp left your throat as you clung to the bowl that you almost let drop from hands. Your fist arose with the spatula that you were using to whip the caramel, about to start swinging at the intruder that was behind you before you heard a familiar laughter. A laugh you heard so many times coming right after a crash or scream. A laugh from a very mischievous crane.

"Tsurumaru Kuninaga! Do you know how close I was to knocking you out with my trusty spatula?" You huffed as you turned your back to him once more to keep stirring the caramel to the consistency you liked it.

"My new friend, Bones, wanted to say hi, (Y/N)! You can't blame me for being supportive of a friend." He puffed out his chest with a big grin before grabbing the freshly washed apples and the sticks to put them together.

You couldn't help but raise your eyebrow at him suddenly standing next to you and helping with the candy apples. His golden eyes seemly saw you look at him with confusion as he finished with his first apple and setting it on the tray to be dipped later.

"Figured I would help out my saniwa. They seemed to be pushing themselves too far again, so their perfect crane is coming in for the rescue! Perhaps now they can rest their tired eyes."

It was only then that the lingering exhaustion behind the excitment seemed to surface. You had been so busy with helping everyone else that you didn't notice how much sleep you had lost within the week of getting ready. Every task that was finished, you mind was racing to the "what's next" instead of resting.

A smile found it's way on your face as you set down the bowl with the finished product.

"Thanks Tsurumaru... But you better not mess with the candy apples! I will be watching you."

"Aw... But imagine how surprised they would be!"
