Jess stirred his cereal and felt that it was approaching complete mush, so he took a wet spoonful and chewed, "I'm leaving today."

“It was longer! The year before you were here all the time.”  

“Well you joined a cult, so I had to be,” Jess said. 

Liz nodded knowingly. “Should I join another cult then, hun?” 

Jess snorted. “The press got busy, that’s all.”

“She’s a little girl and she is tired as heck, honey. We’re not waking her up.”

New chapter update!!!

This one is juuuust after Kai's finally sauntered vaguely downwards to mental hell, the poor boi's gonna have to decide how to deal with their betrayal and it won't be pretty (you're gonna love it as much as I will :))

Also, an update of updates:

I'll try to keep posting at least a chapter per month until the next holidays, but in around a week summertime is over, so I'd have to somehow find some time to get a whole chapter's worth of planning (with Nyx/@enavstars) and writing done by October (on top of the shitload of work I have to do to start out this year...)

Sorry for the rant but long story short, this shit is gonna get angstier as the turning point where the ninja keep breaking Kai and themselves in the process has now officially begun; so I won't likely have the balls to post a half-baked chapter 9 in a month so please bear with me and my now "established" monthly updates :')

I just called my doctor (and only shook from anxiety for like 10 minutes hell yeah) to ask about my results from the blood and urine samples he took yesterday and he went over everything with me n said that it’s all perfect and I’m not even anemic anymore🥺 I just need to keep taking my iron because of how heavy my periods are but that’s literally all he had to suggest

I am always worried that my body is slowly taking steps back to being sick and not working right again because I guess I don’t trust myself to actually take care of me for extended periods of time but I’m doin it!!!!! thank goodness for my bf too I wouldn’t have gotten this taken care of so quickly without him

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
