Similarities Between Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

So, I don't know if anyone noticed, but ITSV has a lot of similarities to TFA.

-We see the main character's daily routine (Miles and Rey, but they come from very different backgrounds, obviously)

-The "decoy protagonist" (RIPeter and Poe) go on a secret mission alone with the mcguffin (The collider override key and the map to Luke) and end up getting captured in Poe's case, captured and killed in RIPeter's case.

-The DP gives the mcguffin to their companions and tells them to take it and go (Poe: You take this. It's safer with you than it is with me. I'll come back for you. It'll be all right!"/Peter: Take this, destroy the collider. I'll come find you. It'll be okay.")

-BB-8 saw the x-wing explosion and thought Poe died, but it's revealed later, he's alive. Miles saw Kingpin attack RIPeter but didn't think he died until he heard it on the news)

-BB-8 and Miles run off when they heard Poe and Peter died

-Someone dropped into the main character's hometown (planet in Rey's case) and found out the decoy protagonist died (well, Finn thought Poe died)

-After meeting the main character, the "foreigner" for lack of a better word fumbles and awkwardly lies about who they are (Finn: Yeah. I'm with the Resistance. I'm with the Resistance/ Gwen: I'm Gwe-aaanda. ... Yes. It's African. I'm South African. Uh, no accent though, 'cause I was raised here...")

-After the main character finds out they have powers, they don't want it.

-The main character and their new friend team up with a grumpy, jaded washout (Peter and Han) who at first hesitates to help them.

-Said jaded washout is too afraid to return home to their ex-wives

-Someone keeps saying they need to go home before deciding to stay (Peter and Rey)

-Poe and Rey are mind raped by Kylo, RIPeter and Miles are both pummeled by Kingpin

-The secondary villain fights our heroes in a snowy forest (Doc Ock vs the Spider Gang, Kylo versus Finn and Rey)

-The female lead is thrown against something and the male lead calls out for her and helps her (Rey is thrown against a tree, Gwen is thrown against a wall)

-Our heroes go to a cool old lady for help and her home is destroyed (Maz and her castle, Aunt May and her house)

-Han tells Kylo to take his mask off and is killed by him a few minutes later, Miles takes his mask off in front of Aaron/Prowler and Aaron is shot to death a minute later

-The main character makes an epic entrance showcasing their powers at the climax (Rey force-grabs Luke's lightsaber, Miles shows up in his new Spider suit)

-The main character ends up restrained and use their powers to escape (Rey is restrained to a torture chair and Jedi Mind Tricks a stormtrooper to let her go, Miles is webbed up to a desk chair and uses his venom strike to escape)

-Two characters crawl through an air vent

-Rey tells BB-8 to stay out of sight with the map to Luke, Peter tells Miles to go with the goober (override key)

-Oh, and of course Oscar Isaac has small roles in both. ;) XD

'Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” has surpassed $700 million at the global box office, becoming the fourth-highest grossing movie of the year.

After five weeks of release, the R-rated historical drama has generated $718 million at the worldwide box office, including $285 million in North America and $437 million internationally.

The film has outperformed “Fast X” ($704 million) and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” ($686 million) and trails behind “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($1.35 billion), Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” ($1.279 billion) and Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3” ($845 million).

Those ticket sales also rank as Nolan’s fourth-biggest movie of all time, passing 2014’s “Interstellar” ($715 million) and standing behind “The Dark Knight” ($1.006 billion), “The Dark Knight Rises” ($1.08 billion) and “Inception” ($837 million). REPUBLIC OF VALENTULUS – Otherwise known as the R.O.V.; had once been the newly created nation in place of the United States in order to maintain control over the worsening relations between gods and humans. Unfortunately, much of it was destroyed after the beginning of the war, spare for the wealthiest districts and cities. DOMUM DEORUM - Heather’s city she built through the means of alchemy. Gods and humans live in unity here, under the leadership of Heather’s councils: Low Council (general citizens), High Council (divine and human district leaders), Master Alchemists (gods who have mastered the alchemic arts). For fifty-eight years Domum Deorum has existed in secret, though their efforts in the war remain influential.  GENESIS POINT - A city with close ties to the Revolutionist military government. Mainly profits from scientific innovations, particularly thanks to Natia's efforts as a deitologist, and diplomatic advisors. As such, they are a major producer of both technology and weaponry. The city has been led by the Genesis family since its creation, Lukyn Genesis the most recent, with Natia Genesis as the next in line to inherit one of the R.O.V.'s most powerful governments.

"Star Wars isn't dead y'all are just haters" "Disney saved Star Wars" "It's the Woke Agenda that ruined Star Wars"

My mans, Disney single-handedly destroyed the Sequel Trilogy despite the Force Awakens being the gateway to something potentially fantastic; MCU'd the Mandalorian (a story which originally had nothing to do with the Prequel and OG Trilogy aside from sharing a universe and exploring a sect of a completely different culture/ideology); ego-boosted both Filoni and Favreau to the point where their OC Verse is not only canon but openly disregarding the Star Wars Universe Bible/Lore; gave us a snippet of what an extremely misunderstood indigenous culture is actually like (instead of portraying them as the savages one of the white leads mislabeled as animals that deserved to be slaughtered) only to then wipe out the tribe we got to know for no reason other than shock value thus alienating indigenous/poc viewers in the most disrespectful way possible; completely threw away the entire message of TCW (that being a clone does not make you incapable of being your own person who has their own thoughts, ideals, moral compass and overall identity) by making TBB (a show that does have it's strong points in set design, soundtrack orchestration and overall sound design, but is extremely weak on both characterization and storytelling because they either make the meaningful plot points stretch too thin or focus on the wrong character completely) their go to show marketed for kids instead of the actual kids programming that people shit on for being for, surprise, kids; constantly disregards valid critique from their consumers (to the point where infighting in the Fandom has gotten extremely ugly) that people either give up on interacting completely or simply vanish and take all their things with them (because no one seems to understand where these critiques come from, or how being unable to admit your special little show is imperfect is actually not a good thing for both you and others).

This isn't even accounting for the fact the Fandom seems to have doubled in it's overall toxicity since Disney took over. Which is par for the course when a mega corporation takes hold of something that started out extremely political in nature anyway. The Cash Cow machine needs feeding after all...

This is the Season Two of the conquests of Tinky Winkynos.

Tinky Winkynos has escaped and he menaces the different franchises universes again. He fights against a maximum of possible fictional characters from different franchises (it can be against entire franchises).

The action: Tinky Winkynos invades the targeted suggested franchise. You must vote for the side of your choice.

The rule: You can help him conquer or you can stand against him by voting.

The result at the end of the poll will decide the fate of the universe(s) issue of his conquest(s). If The Mad Teletubby wins with more 50% of votes, he succeeds his conquest. If the franchise (TV show, video game, movie, novel, etc) wins 50%, the invasion is repelled.

Main tree: Jordrassil in the Jorcrater -> The Crater is where the first pandorian contact happened, Aideen met the centaurs -> She combined the 3 magics (Light, Earth, Pandorian) and fought Garnok. -> Jordrassil is the first tree, manifestation of Aideen’s life powers. -> Also the place where she dispersed, gave up her light and souls to the creatures of the island -> Master portal- planted many other trees on the island, so she can get around quicky in the war. -> Jordrassil has the strongest hints of Aideen’s light (other than MC) would be a top prize for G to corrupt

Life Wardens: Primeival trees -> Fast travel system, their roots for portals after saying the right incantation.  -> From Jordrassil you can fast travel to ANY (living, friendly) tree -> From other trees only to the next in the network -> Guarding and strengthening any magic: Aideen’s or Garnok’s if corrupted. -> They can be awakened and speak, have different personalities.

1. Harvestlands: -> Sleeping Widow: Forgotten Fields. Helped Lisa, 1st one we meet. Wants to reconnect with the other Trees. Protective of the little one also growing in the Forgotten fields. -> Golden Lady: Scarecrow Hill. Grows Golden Apples, which are pure Aideen/Light power. Neighbors and best friends with the Widow. -> Ancient Sentinel: Wildwoods. Protected by the Wild Horse tribes. There is a pandorian rift underwater in the lake, through which Pandorian magic seeps through, infects the area. We close it when Garnok fully corrupts Pandoria and manage to prevent the Sentinel from being corrupted. -> Singing Yew: South Hoof. Helped Justin. Slumbering in the fields, the winds blowing through the branches make a song. -> Silent Poplar: Firgrove Mountain. Very mysterious. Turns out a hundred years ago he was corrupted and almost lost to the darkness, but they used the cleansing ritual to save him. -> Hidden Willow: Fort Maria. Hiding underground in a cave, guarding the library. The first place we go when we unlock the Tree Portal fast travel system. Guards the knowledge about the Life Wardens.

2. Winterdale -> Fire Glory: Ashland. Red pine, likes the warmth there, very lively, constantly talks about how much she likes the warm and finds the fires and the volcano beautiful. -> Glacier Heart: Dino Valley. Sister to the Ashland one, likes the cold. Constantly annoyed by Fire Glory’s neverending chitchat about Ashland, which she can hear. -> Astral Crown: Starshine mountain. Next to the Secret Stone Circle, protects it, she is why the DRs can’t come close to the circle. -> Silver Runebark: Rimefang woods. Silver leafs, revered by the Kallters, likes them, his bark covered in glowing azure runes. -> Wise Leaf : Anvil woods. Helped the druids protect the forest from DC, gives them advice. Talks in verses, metaphors and tales.

3. Springvalley -> Royal Cedar: Blossom woods. Majestic and reliable, he has been guarding the Blossom woods and Springvalley from the storm in Winterdale. -> Everbloom Elm: Everspring plateau. Covered in various flowers, she’s very proud of them. Gives you some random herbs every day if you go say hi to her. The tree is so full of herself, she’s basically giving you an autograph, don’t worry about it. -> Sun Queen: Suncrown lake. Cleansed from corruption by MC and SRs. Protects the Von Blyssen manor and vineyard. -> Twilight Oak: Morrinweald. The source of the valas’ power. Was corrupted by dark powers, later cleansed by MC and SRs.

4. Summerplains -> Restored Guardian: The Great Clearing. Was cut down long ago. We grow it back, like the one in Forgotten Fields. -> Elder Witchwood: Old Morass. She liked to watch the rituals the witches did in the swamp. Quickly becomes best friends with Pi and Mrs Holdsworth. -> Shadow Chestnut: Claymore mountains, hidden. He was tasked with keeping an eye on the Claymores- they have been serving evil for a long time. -> Aspen King: Lone Star canyon. Yellow-golden leaves, huge tree. Likes the Lone Star Cowboys, who bring gifts (anything from horseshoes to elk skulls). 

The New Fast Travel System: -> Advantage of using the trees: you pay for the trailer rides, but you use the tree portals for free. -> With all 4 big areas unlocked, you will need to cover great distances. You have a lot of choices: 1, Trailers (costs money, but most accurate, quickest) 2, Tree portals (free, but less accurate, takes a bit of time) 3, Pandoria portal in-between shortcuts (free, jumps great distances, but least accurate). -> Trailer rides now cost more money the farther the distance you go. Prices: 25 JS:  if you travel inside a great area (e.g. staying inside Harvestlands). 50 JS: if you travel to another great area next to you (e.g. from Harvestlands to Winterdale) 75 JS: travel to another area second next to you (e.g. from Harvestlands to Springvalley) 100 JS: travel to third next area (e.g. from Harvestlands to Summerplains) -> [Keep it in mind, that by our game design the JS cap has been raised to 100.000 and you earn more money, via reworked quest rewards.]

hiii just wanted to say that through the many many fic related spotify playlists you have made, you have had by far the most profound impact on my music tastes than anything else I can think of. Portugal the Man, Watsky, Spoon, The National, Cold War Kids, all of the KTOWL character playlists. You also streamlined my listening of Woodkid from "light interest" to "full blown obsession". And frankly I cannot thank you enough for it, so I'll instead just ask, do you have any more recommendations?

Version 2.0 of Star Rail Yuki, complete with a tag. Things are still subject to change further down the line but the main story is more or less set in stone, with only certain details changing at some point or as more information/lore is revealed in the wider Hoyo verse.

Born and raised on the planet that houses Teyvat, raised in Mondstadt. Like her counterpart, she is the reincarnation of the Anemo Sovereign. Unlike her counterpart, the planet she hails from was wracked with constant conflict and strife before being nearly destroyed in a war.

Discovered and accepted the Origin Wing, going on a journey to complete it with its creator, Eitri, or Moon as she was named.

Despite mirroring Yuuki's journey, hers was riddled with hardship and despair, fighting constantly against foreign entities that threatened the planet and the local disasters in each nation she visited.

While in Fontaine, Yuki uncovered the secret of the planet, a long-hidden Stellaron and a plot from the mad researcher P to exploit it. The end result of their research resulted in a massive Stellaron burst that engulfed the entire nation and spread across the rest of the planet.

Yuki managed to contain further damage by sealing the Stellaron inside the Origin Wing, but she was unable to prevent the casualties from the blast. As a direct consequence, Fontaine drowned in the Primordial Sea even before the prophecy came to be. P left the planet and broke through the Heavenly Principles, leaving the planet in ruin from such a vastly upset balance.

Finding a means to leave the planet herself, Yuki takes after P for revenge, though the experience left her a changed woman. The path of vengeance is a dark one when treading alone, especially when your gaze is met by a certain someone...

Physically, Yuki is nearly identical to Yuuki. The two even went through similar developments, being born with blue hair and eyes, which turned green upon using the Origin Wing's partial power. Their divergence begins at their awakening to Fanchon's lost power. When Yuuki came to battle her inner demons, she prevailed. Yuki fell short and was defeated, her eyes turning yellow as a result. When she taps into THEIR power, she doesn't gain wings like Yuuki does. A long dragon-like tail sits at her back and a pair of curved hover just above her head. Similar to Yuuki, her hands and forearms are charred black, and covered by clothing.
