Family Tree
The latest Big piece I’ve been working on for my partner’s holiday gift is of his D&D character Lior’s family.
The Mordehai-Baraş family is a family of bloodhunters that was inspired by the Sefirot, the way that Jewish Kabbalah breaks down the “emanations” of God and how He appears in the universe. Beginning at the top is Keter (crown), represented by Lior’s mother, Atarah, and it is the purest distillation of God’s light/splendor that shines through the rest of the 9 sefirot, represented by Atarah’s 9 children (In order from the top, left to right: (row 1) Binah, Chokhmah, (row 2) Gevaruh, Lior, Chesed, (row 3) Hadar, Ebon, Elam, (row 4) Adama).
My partner can explain it a lot better than I can, but here, each manifestation is interdependent and connected, a family unit that reflects and emanates their mother in different ways. But while the family itself may be dysfunctional, it is still tied together and works to uphold its members through the good and the bad.
As we’re about to start on Lior’s arc in the campaign (that deals heavily with their family), I thought it would be a good time to make this, since it is both a new piece with the whole family and also redraw of the first big piece I made for him of Lior and the Sefirot. I can go into more detail about the symbolism/imagery of this piece as it relates to the Sefirot, but I will have to ask him about it first because he has studied this extensively and I have done so only cursorily 😂

23-147 The Prize #7
Today’s Mandala Message: What’s the Next Action?
This week I’m working through Principle #27 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Keep Your Eye on the Prize”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of determining the next action to take on my goals. Based on Canfield’s Daily Success Focus Journal system, the “next action” is determined based on what was achieved today. In…

Pain is a great motivator…
Part 26 || First || Previous || Next
—Full Series—
Meanwhile Toriel:
(Loud noises don't wake her up usually.)
Artist note: I’m so proud of this :))) I know it’s a lot of dialogue and reading, but dialogue is grueling work for me. I’m glad with the art and for the amount of pages I made in such a relatively short time span -w- page 5 was super fun to work on. A lot of blood, sweat, and hours here... :) The backgrounds were a big bore tbh, but I finished them! Yippie!

being an older sibling is like. you've never known a life without me. mom yelled at me and it taught her she never wanted to yell at you. I painted my room purple and grey and then you did too. we live in the same house but I haven't spoken to you in months. I don't know your favorite color. I saw it was going to rain so I picked you up from school on my way home so your books wouldn't get wet. i was so worried when you woke up sick when you were three. you don't remember being sick. mom and dad made their worst mistakes with me and I'm glad they didn't make them with you. I'm doing everything for the first time so you won't be in the dark. I don't know any of your friend's names anymore. I used to know them all. if something happens to mom and dad you won't have to worry because everything will fall to me. you don't like to be home alone but even if you don't see me just knowing I'm there makes you feel better. at least that's what mom told me. you still give me jars to open for you because you can't quite get them. I only see you during dinner. i'd never even think about missing one of your concerts. I stand at the counter when I eat and now you do, too. when offered a selection of books you picked the same one I did when i was your age. I'm terrified you compare yourself to me. I love you. I don't know if you like me. I want you to. mom says dinner's ready

AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.
When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.
He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.
Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.
(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

「The Pale Bat」- Part 2
❗️Minor BG3 Spoilers Ahead❗️
Lots of dialogue, recommend clicking into the pictures to read clearly!
Summary: The bat is in good care, and Halsin tells Astarion some...interesting things about bats, while Karlach goes into protect mode.
Original post that inspired this is linked in part 1!
Part 1
{Edited the sizes of images, they were so blurry!!!}
Finally, here is the continuation of The Pale Bat! There will be more updates, but I think once I’m done with this current emotion-heavy beginning(sorry not sorry) it will soon become more of a slice of life type of comic, just little stories of the party and the bat. Got a little carried away at the end there, but I just thought I had to give Astarion’s story some justice, so I did.
Also please forgive me if the bat informations are incorrect, I just pulled them out of thin air, and feel free to throw correct bat-facts at me in the ask-box or just ask about the comic! Hope you enjoy this update, and stay tuned for more ;)
