edit: btw it is not safe to wear contacts in the shower! the option is included for accuracy, but please consider throwing on an old pair of glasses or just going blind into that wet box instead.

#this is NORMAL BEHAVIOR . its IMPORTANT to SEE in there. what if there are clowns or killers.#to be clear. all my soaps and liquids are very different shapes and identifying them is not a concern. its the terror of the unknown #edit: btw im not trying to convert anyone. but i am gonna shotgun more concerns:#facewashing: you hold the glasses in your hands (the arm between your fingers.) or you set them down for a little bit #the fog: this is a non issue /srs. i rinse them down before i do the rest so they don't fog up #the water: my lenses might be water repellent? idk. the drops that remain are small and unobtrusive #the hard water damage: again this is a non issue. the water where i live is not that hard. id be washing them in the water anyways #drying droplets: i wipe them with a glasses cloth after i get out of the shower #i do not care that you guys dont wear your glasses but i DO think you should google how to clean glasses before #telling everyone very confidently that getting them wet is?? bad for them??? clean your glasses dude

i love it when a film has its guts out. when the practical effects are visceral and slimy and slightly janky and clearly made by human hands, when green screen is used as a canvas for art rather than a substitute for reality, when the sets look like theatre pieces, when the lighting is unashamedly unrealistic because fuck it - it comes from the same place as the music, when the acting is messy and unfettered by irony, when you can feel the presence of the crew just offscreen pouring in months of hard work and late nights and sweat and love. when a film stops trying to be realistic and lets itself be raw and weird and INTERESTING

I wish I liked Wish :/

#I watched Tangled after and realized all the ways I prefer it over Wish #Wish was just soooo fast paced I felt like I was watching a movie on 1.25x speed. no time for anything to breath.#like Maximus in Tangled was Joke-After-Joke-After-Joke #*BUT* then rapunzel and flynn had slow character-building discussions to balance the horse that didn't need jokes inserted #AND Maximus didn't speak-- so the jokes feel more clever. I laughed out loud at him hiding behind a horse-shaped rock #and idk what it is about Alan Menken's music but he is just unbeatable to me #Wish's music was so ''non-musical theater'' genre that I felt like I was listening to a real music group's/band's album #and I don't mean that in a good way...#and I know it's hard for disney to take chances on new art styles but I still feel like Wish's water-color look could have been stronger #for some reason I felt the movie didn't have good composition??? like the lighting often looked flat #I am also fucking SIICK of the last 4 disney princesses having all the same ''yikes oop srry I'm awkward!!'' personality besides Moana iirc #ENOUGH!!!

the main problem I've had with trying to do 'your PC as other races' art is that when other people have done it, including ryoko kui's changeling comparisons, they always keep the character's original palette-- and that ends up being an immediate stumbling block for me when the first place I'd be inclined to start is with Elyss, whose main point of difference from an ordinary human is that she is green

#and with elyss like-- okay being an ordinary human would affect not only her bone structure and skin but even her eye color #because it's a pretty-close-to-natural sort of lavender grey BUT I already know human!elyss would have brown eyes #so does 'racebend your blorbo' human!elyss also look like theoretically canon human!elyss who looks like her mom?#in that case what about halfelf or gnome elyss-- am I basing those on human elyss or on canon elyss?#because elyss' light eyes are specifically part of her Water Themed Palette--#-- but light eyes with dark skin and hair are really common naturally for gnomes and elves where they're more rare in humans #AND you start to run into the problem of 'here's a gnome with gnomish features and also a different palette' does it even look like her??#and if I have to take 'what would be normal for this humanoid' into account for elyss whose race is such an unusual case--#-- it gets me into the weeds with like... well specifically melliwyk who has dark skin white hair and bright turquoise eyes #that's not going to occur naturally in ANY other race except MAYBE a very unusual elf but like...#okay so do I just keep her palette anyway? but that feels kind of weird compared to how I have to handle elyss??#ALSO I honestly feel like 'how does the hair color and texture translate' is just as valid as ear shape and bone structure for exploring--#-- the different morphologies of dnd races- and just as interesting to me- but you run into the 'are they still recognizable' issue again #TL;DR MY BIG PROBLEM IS OVERTHINKING IT AS ALWAYS #about me #my OCs #elyss #melliwyk

#TOOK A WHILE BUT I FINALLY FIGURED THIS ONE OUT!!!#spn #spnart #spn art #mine.caro #trueforms #spn fanart #castiel #okay so. i'd said MONTHS ago (maybe even over a year?) that i saw trueform endverse!cas as being shaped like the flayed skin #that michelangelo painted as a self portrait in the sistine chapel. as an answer to someone asking me if i'd ever do endverse!cas even #anon i hope you're still out there. i finally did it!! but back then i said i only knew that and i had to figure out the rest #bc i saw endverse!cas as being twice fallen. once from angelhood and the other from like. humanity. toppled over to somewhere else #and i couldn't figure out that second fall or how to turn everything about endverse!cas into more Images #and then i thought. i've been doing the fall from angelhood as the change from geometric to 'freestyle'. flowy if you will #what if that second fall is from abstract to figurative. things being more literal and whatnot. and i checked if other trueforms backed #this up. samandriel being tortured does. the vitruvian man on a cross and such. cas in the rapture and the translation glitches #can count for this. so that's what i went with. and so you have the flayed skin as the core. the flowy shapes of a fall angel as a cloud #around it. and bursting from it. piercing through like knives. you have the arms of a basket star #there is the eyehole with the Wanting hands like in my bloody valentine. but just an EYEhole and with less hands. gripping the flayed skin #but the Wants are more in the shape of a basket star here. wide open and static. waiting for whatever falls from the water above them #(google them btw. they're cool. Ophiuroidea). i think there's also something hannibal-antlers about it #now a part of endverse!cas is also being contained in a human body but i couldn't do that like in the rapture. and i kept thinking How #is it about animals and natural things from the translation glitches being constrained. predating each other? smth smth insular ecology?#until i realized. it's not about biology it's about physics. the key to it is FALLING out instead of SPROUTING out #less life more resignation. but it had to be things that are naturally falling down bc stuff like dead animals would be doing the #same thing i hate when nature documentaries do. there are stephen jay gould essays about it but tl;dr anthropomorphization of morality #so i went with hanging plants. i thought about also having falling feathers but that's more cas Becoming endverse!him #here the feathers already fell long ago. what else. there are some patters from cas before but less so and melting-clocks'ed #and the eyes were referenced from those weeping virgin mary statues.like pearls on strings #and i think thats it for this one! it'll be up on the stores soon
