My FNAF AU has been sorted out. In the sense that the timeline has been re-written enough that I can go back to drawing it..

Now the next comic in the AU is a re-write/re-draw of my old FNAF comic, Moon Malfunction. A few months ago though there were several time sensitive projects that came up and I needed to shelf Moon Malfunction 2.0 until they were done. Well now they're all done.. but Moon Malfunction is gonna take me some time to get around to..

For the past few months I've been in a really bad spot mentally and physically. And taking on my FNAF Recap/Repair project is just not something I feel I have the mental energy to do at the moment.. All it feels like is a one big pile of work. And all I wanna do I just draw what ever comes easily to me and focus on recovering..

Soooo for the time being,, my main FNAF AU might not see any updates for a bit.. Though I haven't forgotten about it and I do want to get back to it at some point soon. But for now I want to cut any work out of my relaxing/drawing time and just draw what ever I want. Which atm is pirate cookies-- <XDD

If I tried to explain my thought/design process it would just be a lot of word spaghetti that boils down to "uhhh... I just drew it.,. aandd if it dont look good.. draw it differently.. until it looks good-"

My advice would be to look on YouTube for character design tutorials or ask some other artists that have artwork similar to mine and see if they can help. :( Again, so sorry! I wish I could articulate my thoughts better 💔💔

Now if the crew did face a violent altercation like that, I imagine their #1 goal would to protect the Octopod. That's their home man! They would probably do what ever they could to get the octopod away from the situation. Like the Captain manually piloting it and some of the crew being sent out in gups to distract the squid. How about a fluff of Jack and Deuce (separate) where the reader is an artist that wants to use their hands as reference to practice since they think that their hands look very expressive? And maybe y/n ends up wanting to draw them as a whole afterwards.

Hands on a canvas

Being an artist in Twisted Wonderland was probably the best thing that could ever happen in your life. Since you have been transported to the new world you have never lacked the desire to portray everything of this world that always fascinates you.

Your artistic skills have also been a big help for other people like Azul and the Leech twins, who asked for your thoughts and opinions about their menu's design, and to the students who are in charge of the costumes and backstage work in the film research club.

You're laying on the bed of your room in ramshackle, thinking about the amount of time you spent in twisted wonderland, its people. Your mind then immediately wanders to your home, your world.

When will you be able to return to the place you really belong to?

You immediately cast these thoughts out of your mind.

Being depressed won't change the situation you're in.

To distract yourself, you decide to focus on what you love doing: drawing.

You open the bedside drawer next to you and take a sketchbook and a pencil to get started, you then grab your phone and make your way towards a desk near the window of the room where you usually spend your time drawing or doing your homework.

You look out of your window to find new things to draw but there aren't any, just the same trees and flowers...sure, at first it was nice drawing them but after a while anyone would get tired of portraying the same scenery. You sigh and grab your things, ready to go out and find something or someone to sketch.

You start walking around the school to find inspiration and you finally find it when you come across the track and field club or rather a member of it: Jack.

You watch as he plays on the field of the track club and you can't seem to pull your eyes away from him, almost mesmerized by his energy. You slowly start to sit down on the ground and open your notebook, your gaze never leaving Jack's figure.

Your attention shifts on his hands, you always liked his hands and thought they are very expressive and without thinking about it you start to sketch them in different ways. When you tear you eyes away from your drawings and look towards the field once again, you find jack staring at you.

For a moment you don't know what to do, but then he waves at you with an almost unnoticable smile on his lips.

Your heart skipping a beat and you swear that blood rushed to your face, making it hot and red. After a few seconds of you trying to recover from the shock, you smile back at him, returning the greeting and Jack goes back to the other members of the club to continue his game.

You follow with your gaze the figure of the boy who hoes back to his club activities amd you can't help but think of his delicate smile that he showed you earlier. Your heart skips a beat again and you start drawing his face on the white paper, with the intention of portraying not only Jack, but also the deep feelings you have for him.

"Is there something wrong with my hands?" Deuce asks in the cafeteria while you, him, Ace and Grim were sitting together, eating your lunch.

You've been staring at his hands since the moment you sat down across from him with a noticeable interest and a bit of intensity, but you can't help it! The reason is that you have been practicing drawing hands for a long time, but recently the practice is not going well and the results are not what you quite expected and the pile of tattered and rolled up drawing paper in the trash can of your dorm can testify your failed experiments of drawing human anatomy. So you've been thinking about using someone's hands as a refernce.

You've always liked Deuce's hands and you tought they would be the perfect reference for your drawings. You just had to find a good way to ask him if you could his hands as a model.

"It's just that recently I've been trying to practice my drawing skills, to be more specific, I'm practicing drawing hands but I'm...uh...quite failing at it ahah" akward ass laugh.

Deuce looks at you for a few seconds and his gaze moves to his hands and then to you again, this continues for a few seconds before he asks in an almost embarassed way:

"Would you..like to use my hands as a reference then?"

Hard to believe, but Deuce understood your intentions.

At this point we might as well believe that the end of the world is coming

You immediately accept his help with a big grin on your face and literally DRAG HIM out of the cafeteria when you finish eating, not even caring about ace who was still sitting at the table drowning in his food.

After successfully finding a bench to sit on, you open your notebook and grab your pencil (two items you won't leave your house without) and start sketching using deuce's hands as a reference.

While drawing you explain to Deuce all your drawing techniques and show many of your sketches in the album, which receive many compliments and positive comments from the blue-haired boy. You also explain to him that you were hoping he would offer you help in your attempts of drawing hands, as you particularly appreciate the expressiveness that his hands have, and you swear that you've seen the tip of his ears turn a bit red.

You didn't mind it and kept drawing until you both had to back to class, promising to each other that you would spend more time together to practice.

Before parting ways you gave him one of the drawings you did of his hands, something he would cherish forever.

Art Summary 2023 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Last new years i got really down because every artist I knew was doing year recaps. I decided to avoid that this year, I was gonna try to draw at least one thing every month. I was able to do it thank gosh gdkjfnghjf.

I wasn't able to do an excellent piece every month- sometimes just a sketch. Maybe that should be goal 2024? I'll try to make a really good piece every month.

January

Didn't start off strong really. Best thing I did this month was a sketchpage of Q. The campaign she's in started in January and has been going strong since =w=

February

I couldn't design between the two aack. The first was a lil sketch I did when I first started dating Cam. She said she wanted to watch me draw and I couldn't think of anything, so I just started putting together something mechanical aack. You can tell I kinda got tired after just drawing the head .-.

Second was when I was still super into Bocchi. Still am, just haven't drawn any fanart in a while gkfdjhnjgff.

March

"Recipes for Strawberry Jam" was my absolute favorite thing to work on all year I think. This specific page took so long but it all worth it. It was my first serious foray into making a comic, using color, and trying out weird perspectives and I think it worked out so well. I'm really hoping to do more soon =w=

April

This is around the time I switched my sketch paper to a more grey-color rather than a yellow-ish tone aack. I later switch it again to stark white. Road Queen~

May

I drew one (1) thing in May. May is always the worst part of the year aaaa. It starts to get hot again and because I live in the desert that means that life is suddenly unbearable and I have to Deal with all of that.

I was really happy to be able to make a necromancer for the Archivists homebrew house aack. I honestly didn't draw much in Decemeber except for. A lot of vent art I'd rather not share and nsfw art I don't wanna share aack. Almost fumbled it all at the end aaa

This was the first year I made like, any significant living off of commissions. I hope to continue growing next year. Thank you sincerely for following me. It's a little... nerve wracking, but I'm glad to have people aack. I'd like to keep working like this- making art on commissions and ko-fi supporters, and everything helps. Agsudisg I'm so glad you liked it, Kazi, I literally sat down the moment I finished reading and started drawing cuz you freaking killed me, I MEAN, vox being stubborn and denying help, and Alastor stubbornly giving him the aid he needs, but crouched in their respective toxic egos and self-image? So delicious. Alastor, who needs to know why he was left behind, and vox who's desperately pouring himself into the new thing... Ahhhh...

The part where he implies he really was running off to die...and Alastor goes all soft...the shared frequency, the antenna petting... I reread that multiple times bc it's so good...and the claws, the claws, vox denies wanting help from alastor to the last, but the claws!

(also we tots need full seasons and reruns of 'Let's Shit on Vox', I bet Alastor even encourages to call in with more info, not that anyone would bc they're too scared. Hey, does carmilla have to listen his obsession LOL)

Heheh the part where "Alastor goes all soft" is also a little on the part of RR!AU characterization, so it's a bit exaggerated. He's trying to ween his way in appealing to Vox again, but RR!AU Vox is just so tired. Alastor keeps bringing up the past....This was kind of a wacky scenario to write because it does skip/make you infer a lot of stages of development, but the AU is close enough to canon that I think it's not far to imagine filling in the gaps hhh....

LMFAO yes, Alastor def encourages call-ins, "The 'Let's Shit on Vox' show, your one-stop opportunity to diss Hell's most saturated overlord!" -- on the rare occasion someone actually called in, Alastor killed whoever said something off about Vox that wasn't to his "flavor" of hate.

Carmilla has already read through these two idiots and just rolls her eyes at their immaturity. If she's there for Alastor's radio show, she's just in the background, utterly done and convinced they're playing everything up for entertainment at this point. Now that has me thinking, if Alastor ever started feeling something unfamiliar and god-forbid genuinely *good*(????), he would probably consult Rosie or Carmilla for it first........and Vox would ask Charlie.....oh..........

9. What are your file name conventions?

I have terrible file organization. Many of them are named "a", "aa3", "asgv", "fhgh", or other random keyboard smashes. Recently, I have a bad habit of naming files "sketch1", "sk1", "skht1", or some misspelled way-- it's gotten so bad I'm up to "sketch22".... I find things by icon only.

14. Any favorite motifs?

Straight edges and shapes, maybe? I started drawing with an anime style though I'm mostly into western media-- I think it's very satisfying to have nice shape design/silhouettes though, but I don't draw in a super cartoony or exaggerated style so it's kind of hard to tell that I like and have fun doing it. I'm kind of scattered and like to dip my foot into everything unfortunately.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

None really, but if I had to pick one for HH, maybe this one.

For my older art, definitely this one. I mean, I don't love it anymore, but I really thought I ATE with the concept at the time.

synopsis: the moments of what it seemed like the love you gave him is something renjun would never deem to forget. without it, he’s become the type of person he’s ridiculed in the past. though thanks to you, he’s learned that the past is the past and shit happens.

a/n: a belated birthday fic for renjun :,] i’ve been waiting for the right time to write a long and angsty fic and i think now is the perfect time aaaa i’m so excited to write again ! for now, enjoy a little snippet ♡

i. each time you fall in love

renjun was confused as to why he was standing between sweaty bodies of frat boys when he could be laying down in his own clean sheets while binge watching a new show. but no, his best friend just had to quite literally physically drag him to this party. jaemin has been pestering renjun into accompanying him to a frat party so renjun can finally “get some.” while in reality, the only “some” renjun is in need of is a break, and attending a boring college party only to be pushed around by intoxicated, tall, and freakishly meaty boys isn't the break he was quite fond of.

the short boy has been on his tippy toes in an attempt to look for his friend who forced him here (apparently only to ditch him) in the sea of people. as his toes begin to cramp, renjun gives up and marches his way to the backyard. the wrinkles on his forehead begin to soothe as he feels the cold air relief his slightly sweaty forehead.

he observes the area around him — people out here were dancing more appropriately than those inside, the music was calmer too. he thinks the dimly lit backyard sets the mood well, complimenting the chill rnb music playing in the back. though, the calmness came to a halt when he heard the infamous loud voice of donghyuck calling his name from the side of the area.

renjun smiles at the him and jeno who was standing right beside donghyuck, feeling relieved that he will no longer look like a stupid loner since he’s found a few friends. as he came closer to them, the acrid smell of their cigarettes became more prevalent.

“didn’t take you as a party guy, injunie.” donghyuck nudges him with his shoulder as renjun finds place in between the two, resting his back against the fence.

“that’s because i’m not.”

jeno chuckles at his response, “so jaemin finally succeeded.” renjun huffs. “well, at least enjoy it now that you’re here.”

donghyuck made a noise of agreement. “and you guys consider smoking in the corner fun?” renjun eyes the boys, obviously joking with them but was also curious if they genuinely find pleasure in welcoming those toxins into their system.

“apparently you, a prude, think being a virgin is fun. but i guess we all have different definitions of fun, huh?” donghyuck teases before taking another hit, releasing the smoke and polluting the air.

renjun blinks repeatedly to moisten his burning eyes, “yeah, i expect that same attitude from you when you need an inhaler every five seconds. that’s the only thing you’ll ever hit then.”

jeno coughs out smoke as he laughs at the remark, “you’ve done pissed him off, hyuck. here — take a hit, it’ll feel better.” jeno places the cigarette in front of renjun’s face and winks at him.

renjun mockingly smiles at the taller boy before rolling his eyes and heartily laughing at the banter between him and his good friends.

the boy observes how the smoke leaves the tip of the cigarette to form patterns in the air, creating an infinite amount of stems and designs. like a camera lens, his focus on the killing object in front of him blurs and readjusts on a dancing figure directly behind the cigarette from afar.

jeno slowly drops his hand down as he sees his friend’s gaze shift to another hazardous object — a girl. specifically, you. “you know her?”

renjun thinks about his answer, because you guys don’t know each other personally nor have even talked to one another but he does know of you but he doesn’t want to sound like a creep. saving himself from more insults, he shakes his head. “maybe i should, though.”

not that he pays attention but he’s seen you at a couple of his classes last semester, but sadly none this semester. he remembers how you’d always come in late, but not too late. just late enough for everyone to stop what they’re doing and watch you walk down to your seat. or maybe that was just a natural effect of yours that you hold on people. i mean, renjun didn’t miss the way you put thought into your outfit for every class even if it was a boring lecture. hell, you could show up to class hungover and in pajamas (which you’ve done before a shameful amount of times) and still catch everyone’s attention.

renjun has a pair of functioning eyes so he is very aware of your charming looks. tonight was different, though. you danced confidently right in the center of the grass, with a drink in your hands that hasn’t spilled once thanks to your graceful mannerisms. with the fairy lights hitting your skin, making you glow underneath the dark sky, renjun thought you couldn’t get any prettier.

he was about to inform his friends that he’ll be getting a drink, but noticed that the two boys had already left his side. he cowered at the thought of him just standing there alone with nothing and no one to accompany him while he shamelessly stared at you. making the churning feeling in stomach worsen, your gaze meets his while you continue to dance to the sensual music.

you shot a smile first, renjun immediately gives you one back as he straightens his posture. renjun sees you giggle at his actions then whisper something in your friend’s ear, simultaneously handing your drink to her, to which she pushed you toward his direction and gently patted your bottom.

renjun wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol taking control or you were just this bold, strutting your way toward him — a boy who you don’t even know.

you halt your steps when you stand in front of him, getting a clear view of his pretty face. “you seem a bit lonely.”

renjun gulps, collecting his confidence. “just a bit.”

“want some company then?”

renjun smiles genuinely at your offer. “i would love that actually.” he stares at your features, admiring the dots on your face that would resemble star constellations if someone were to draw lines to connect them. “i’m renjun.” he was smart enough to wipe his hands discreetly behind him before putting them out.

“nice to meet you, renjun. i’m y/n.” you took his hand and shook it lightly. “i think i’ve seen you in one of my classes before? i might be wrong.” you tilt your head slightly. renjun almost melts at the sight.

he smiles before nodding, eyes shining. “yeah, i’m shocked you remember. i don’t usually talk during class.” he laughs. it seems that every time he smiles, your palms become sweatier and your neck’s temperature increases.

“don’t worry, pretty boys like you don’t need to do much to catch yourself some attention.”

renjun laughs nervously at the compliment, fiddling with the ends of his oversized jacket. “you're the one to talk but thank you.” his eyes twinkled as he spoke, the moonlight hitting the highest points of his face precisely. “you wanna go sit over there?” he points to the chairs near your standing figures. you nodded and began to walk your way toward the spot with renjun following suit.

renjun wasn’t sure how it happened. how the night turned from arguing with jaemin over a pointless party to now — not wanting to leave the damn place. how he was able to maintain a real conversation with you, not some excruciatingly boring small talk that neither party enjoys. he learned much about your character and questioned how much more perfect you can be. on the other hand, you learned that renjun makes pleasant company as he eased through the night talking to you about anything. he made any topic worth listening to if he was the one doing the talking.

as he drove home with a drunk jaemin snoring beside him in the passenger seat, he realized that, for once, renjun was thankful that his best friend is the most stubborn person in the planet and made him go to that stupid frat party.

because now, you’ve got him in your hands and he was completely okay with that.

Thank you both for the kind words. I'm still in a bit of disbelief because I honestly wasn't expecting it. It's such a nice surprise since I also finished my Medical Microbiology final exam yesterday, and with my birthday coming up later this month, it feels like Robin himself wanted to get in on the celebrating early in-game.

I just find it a bit funny that my whole dedication for Robin was already lingering below the surface when I started playing back in 2019, then after a brief talk to a RWBY voice actor on Tumblr (who coincidentally didn't like Fate's portrayal of Robin), I ended up loving Big Robin all the more. Differing feelings go places, I guess!

The feeling of a Bond going up is indeed wonderful. :) Now that I'm free from class, lets see if I can draw something... Now if only Fate character designs weren't so complex...

A Model Cold

One last one in this mega-post of migrating fics over to Tumblr.

This one is an original M cold fic, slightly 18+, about a college student and her life drawing subject.

Alissa sat down at the drawing horse and flipped open her charcoal pad, preparing for her art class. She was a second year student majoring in fashion and one of her requirements was a class in figure drawing. Each week, her and several other students met in a small, well-lit classroom to practice sketching from both nude and clothed models, sharpening their drawing skills for future work in design. Today, the model was late, and several students were sketching other subjects idly.

The door suddenly swung open and a young man rushed in, out of breath. It was a common practice of the school to hire other students to act as the clothed models, and today, it seemed, they had hired this boy. He was thin, with a subtle bit of muscle hidden under the long-sleeved shirt and dark jeans he was wearing. His hair was an adorable shock of brown that seemed to stick in every direction and curled upward just around the nape of his neck and ears.

“Sorry I’m a little late,” he said to the professor, stepping up onto the platform in the center of the room. He stood still with his hands on his hips and stared off into the distance.

“Okay, this pose is a five minute exercise,” the professor informed the students. “Begin.”

Alissa ran her eyes up and down his body, studying his subtle curves and angular face. He was certainly a nice subject to draw, she concluded. She moved her eyes to the paper, and began to lay out the lines of his legs. Her charcoal paused mid-stroke when she heard some congested sniffles.

She looked up, searching the room for the source and found the model, his nose crinkled up as he tried to stop it from dripping. A warm, burning feeling spread through Alissa and she watched his face intently. He sniffled a few more times and moved a hand up quickly to wipe his nose before resuming his frozen position. She noticed that he seemed unusually uncomfortable and he scanned his face for a hint of a sneeze coming…and then there it was…

Slowly, his nostrils dilated and his breath hitched in his throat fiercely, over and over. Alissa squeezed her legs around the seat of her drawing horse in anticipation, and the model released his pose, bending forward with the force of the oncoming sneeze and burying his face in his hands. A wet, spraying sneeze echoed around the room.

“tss…tssCHOO!”

Alissa’s charcoal slipped in her hand and made a thick black line down the paper. The model looked up, embarrassed from the sound, and attempted to re-capture his previous stance. He’d barely settled back into the position when she heard his breath hitch again. He sniffed loudly and Alissa heard the thick congestion. He doubled over again, coughing hoarsely and then “ahhahhtcHOOO!”

She couldn’t take her eyes off him. All she wanted to do was to take him home and tuck him right into bed beside her, letting him snuggle against her and sneeze those delicious sneezes.

“Are you going to be alright?” her professor asked the model, raising an eyebrow.

“I’m fine, I’m fine,” he said, his voice slightly hoarse. “I’m coming down with something, but I think that was the worst of it.

Alissa hoped not, and as fate would have it, only seconds later, the model broke his pose again, cupping his hands to his face and inhaling shallowly.

“Ahh…naa…TCHOO!”

His sneeze was wet and loud; obviously he was either severely allergic to something or he was suffering from a terrible cold. The model moaned quietly and muttered a “sorry” as he moved back to position. Several students were rolling their eyes and sighing, unable to draw the constantly moving man, but Alissa didn’t care about her sketch, she was all eyes for the model. He managed to stand still for a minute more and the professor signaled for him to change poses. Alissa began a new sketch, first making a broad, smooth oval for his head and laying out the lines of his neck when the sound caught her ears. His breathing had changed again, he seemed to pant with anticipation, and then his hands flew to his mouth to stifle three horrible coughs immediately followed by another delicious sneeze. Alissa burned and she was sure that her cheeks were bright pink.

“I don’t think it’s wise for us to continue here if you cannot hold a pose,” the professor told the student. “Ms. Martin?”

Alissa looked up and nodded.

“Would you show Mr. Ellison up to my office? My secretary will record his hours for the semester and then you are free to go. The rest of you, I’ll give you a series of poses for the next fifteen minutes and then we’ll end early. I expect you to enter three anatomy studies in your sketch books for homework, though.”

Alissa couldn’t believe her luck. She gathered up her art supplies and approached the model. He was pulling a sweatshirt on that he had taken out of his backpack.

“Hey,” he said, sniffling. “Thanks for showing me where to go.”

She opened the door for him and they stepped out into the hallway.

“I’m Todd, by the way,” he said, following her towards the elevator. “I’m sorry I was such a lousy model today. I’ve been feeling kinda crummy and…”

He broke off, coughing. Alissa felt as if she could melt into a puddle at his feet.

“It’s fine,” she managed to get out. “I’m Alissa, by the way. I don’t think the class minded. You got us out early. And speaking of getting out early, you should take this time to go home and get to bed.”

“I know I should,” he replied. “But I live on the other side of town. It’s a thirty minute walk and I have class over here at four, so I figured I’d come over here this morning for the job and then hang in the commons for lunch before I have to go to class.”

“Here it is,” she said, opening the door to an office.

He signed the pay sheet and met her back outside the door. His nose was running and he was trying futilely to sniffle and stop it, but he was too congested.

Alissa dug into her purse and found a tissue, holding it up. He blew his nose loudly with a wet and gurgling honk, and then sighed.

“I’m sorry,” he said. “This is disgusting.”

He coughed a few times and offered her a small smile.

“It’s fine,” she insisted. “Everyone gets sick now and then.”

She noticed a piece of lint stuck to his skin just above his eyebrow and reached to pick it off.

“You’ve got some stuff on you.”

She grabbed the piece of fluff and was surprised at the heat of his brow. She spread her hand across his forehead and gasped.

“You’re burning up!”

He sniffled miserably.

“Am I? Damn it. I guess I’ll go home then.”

“Thirty minutes in this weather?” she asked, gesturing to the window. Outside, the ground was wet and damp, and it was fairly chilly.

“It’ll be fine,” he insisted, stifling a few more coughs.

“You don’t sound well enough to be out in this,” she found herself blurting out. “Listen, I know we just met, but I’m done classes for the day and I live just a few minutes from here. My roommate has a car she’ll let me borrow, but she doesn’t get home until six tonight. Why don’t you come over, I’ll fix you some soup, you can relax, and if you feel up to it, you can walk home later. If not, I’ll drive you at six when I get the car.”

Todd’s face lit up, helped by the unhealthy brightness already in his eyes.

“Really?” he said. “Oh, Alissa, that’d be great!”

“Let’s go, then,” she said, surprised at the forwardness she’d exhibited in inviting him over. This sexy, sneezing guy in HER apartment? It was a dream come true!

They headed out into the cold and she offered Todd her long brown scarf. He wrapped in securely around his neck and followed her down the street, sniffling and coughing hoarsely. They reached her apartment fairly quickly and she showed him upstairs.

The apartment was nothing spectacular, but they had a spacious couch with a decent TV, a clean kitchen, and their own bedrooms. Alissa sat Todd right down on the couch and told him to make himself comfortable. She went into her room and dug around in the closet, coming up with a pillow and two thick blankets. From the bathroom, she collected some cough drops and some cold medicine.

She found Todd lounging on the sofa, his damp sweatshirt tossed aside. He still had her scarf around his neck and he was shivering.

“Here,” she said, tucking a blanket around his shoulders and putting the pillow behind his head. She tucked the second blanket over his legs and deposited two pills in his hand.

“I’ll get you some water to take those. The remote for the TV is on the side table.”

“I can’t thank you enough, Alissa,” he said. “You’re too…”

He paused, his face scrunching up. Alissa felt her thigh muscles squeeze together involuntarily as Todd inhaled with a shuddering breath and…

“naaa…aaaa…aaaaTSCHOOO!”

“Bless you,” she whispered.

He smiled, embarrassed.

“Thanks. As I was trying to say, you’re too kind.”

“Really,” she said. “It’s my pleasure.”

It couldn’t have been farther from the truth. She was tingling with pleasure.

“I’ll fix you some soup, okay?”

He shook his head.

“It’s really fine. I’m not that hungry anyway. I think I’ll just relax for a bit.”

“Do you want some company, or do you just want to sleep?” she asked.

“I’d love some company,” he said with a grin. “I don’t want to get you sick, though.”

“It’s fine,” she replied. “I’m all caught up on homework for the week.”

He tucked his legs up and motion to the end of the sofa.

“Sit down then!”

Alissa grabbed him a glass of water to take the pills, and then sat next to him, grabbing his legs so they could extend across her lap.

“What do you want to watch?” she asked, flipping on the TV. She went through the channels until they decided on some cheesy afternoon talk show.

“So, Todd,” Alissa asked. “What’s your major here?”

“Writing,” he replied, sniffling. “Short stories mostly, but I’d like to write a novel. Maybe some plays.”

Interested, Alissa continued,

“Do you have anything published?”

“Just some poems,” he answered, clearing his throat loudly as his voice became hoarse. “Nothing big. And you? You’re a costume designer?”

“Fashion design, actually,” she replied. “It’s really fun. We’re required to take a figure drawing class to learn anatomy for fashion plates and that.”

“Cool.”

“Yeah, I love it. I’ve always wanted to do it. When I was little, I had a huge box of my mom’s old clothes that I would cut up and make new outfits with.”

Todd smiled. “And I always had a notebook I scribbled in. My mom used to say that…”

He trailed off, his face contorting and his chest expanding. He reached wildly for the tissues on the table but couldn’t find them as his eyes filled with tears, squeezing shut. Alissa instinctively snatched one from the box and leaned over, clamping it firmly over Todd’s nose. Two explosive sneezes ripped forth and Alissa trembled as the force hit the klennex. Todd inhaled with a miserable slurp of congestion and Alissa pulled the klennex away, wiping the dripping end of Todd’s nose.

“Ugh,” he said, rubbing his face. “I’m sorry. That was repulsive.” He took the tissue from her hand and balled it up. “I’ll get rid of that. Thanks so much.”

Alissa’s mouth moved to reply but no words came. Finally, she was able to spit out, “I have to use the bathroom.”

She hurried across the apartment through the bathroom door and locked it behind her. Sinking down onto the floor, she forced herself to stop shaking. Her crotch burned wildly and she knew that she was extremely wet. Pulling down her pants, she let her fingers do the work but she couldn’t be fully satisfied. She imagined Todd next to her in bed, his hot forehead against her shoulder as his nose dripped onto her chest and he coughed into her arm. And those sneezes! If only he’d press against her, sneezing into her neck, her breasts…anything.

“Enough,” she thought, scolding herself. “He’s miserable and all you’re thinking about is yourself.”

She cleaned up and headed back into the den. Todd was still on the sofa, watching the TV with bright, feverish eyes and a thin stream of mucus ran from his nose onto his upper lip. Alissa sat on the floor beside him and grabbed a tissue, gently wiping it away.

Todd leaned towards her, as if to encourage the action, but continued until he was just centimeters away, then leaned in and kissed Alissa on the cheek.

“Thank you,” he said, but he was so congested, Alissa could barely understand. “I think you are very pretty.”

She blushed.

“I think you’re incredibly handsome.”

He laughed and broke into a fit of coughs.

“Even like this?” he choked out.

“Even more,” Alissa replied, climbing on the couch beside him.

“Come here,” he said, pulling her to him. He pressed his lips against hers and she tasted the salty sweat of fever and the sweet tang of congestion.

“Let’s get you to bed,” she said when he pulled away to blow his nose.

“Only if you come too,” he replied slyly.

Alissa led the way and shut the bedroom door behind her. Thank goodness her roommate wouldn’t be home until later!

Hhhh bunni legs pain accomplishment day

I HAVE FINISHED THE SHOPPING OF HELL

Tfw u only get paid 4 days before christmas and have to rush everything aaaa

It was bad enough today so i'm so glad i got it done before it got even more busy!

Misc boring essentials i bought for myself: new phone charger cos broken, new trousers cos i spilt hair bleach on my only two pairs, new shoes cos my left shoe literally snapped in half down the middle like wtf even happened there, cheap pink hair dye from a discount store cos i wanna try different colours but in a thrifty way

Now for EXCITING CHRISTMAS PRESENT TIME!!!!

First off SO MANY pc and xbox 360 games from Every Charity Shop In Cardiff, St Mellons, Rumney and Llanrumney. My sis has been trying to find some games to play but was like 'dont worry about it i can just wait til the charity shop gets something good'. So i thought i'd get some stocking stuffers via all the charity shops on my side of town. By our powers combined we will blitz the entire vale of glamorgan's discount gaming scene!!! I found SO MANY good stuff for £1/£2/£3 like holy shit i love when charity shops dont know the proper price for shit XD

speaking of which i also found a WEBCAM for £2! If its that cheap it probanly isnt great but itd still be fun to play around with! :D and the same store also had an old vintage G1 My Little Pony coffee mug in excellent condition. Oh god the nostalgia! My support worker gave me a lift to llanrumney so i had to awkwardly explain why i had an armful of weird 80s mugs and big teary eyes!

Speaking of vintage, i found this new vintage toys and games shop in cardiff called Galactic Attic! The name hooked me in and then they actually DID have pokemon inside! As well as all sorts of stuff ranging from 40s to 90s, wow! There was even a lil pile of old 90s gaming magazines in the corner, covered up by a bunch of boxes. I'm glad i noticed them! I got the announcemt issues for pokemon diamond pearl and platinum in a weird old pokemon fan magazine that i loved as a kid. Im kinda sad that nowadays we just have one official magazine fpr each console and not the wild madness of amateaur journalists failing horribly to get news from japan. Shame they didnt have Beckett Pokemon cos that one was infamous fot drawing its own terrible interpretations of pokemon sprites to avoid copyright. And speaking of terrible, they even had bootleg pokemon!! I talked to the cashier and he was like "you know those are fake right" and i was like "yeah its so nostalgic thats why i want em" and he was like "lol yeah they actually sell pretty well so i'm not mad my supplier ripped me off". It was a pretty good and awesomely terrible fake at the same time? There was this exact replica of some japanese display stand for the product and then the actual pokeball toys looked perfect BUT the mini pokemon inside were.. Really not. I am so damn happy with the surprise inside my one, surprise inside has never been more accurate! I can't take a picture now cos my phone is charging but REGICHEETO. Just..just imagine that, and whatever you're imagining it is probably worse. I love it so fuckin much. Also less hilariously there were some bootleg mini pika plushies with actually (as far as i can tell) their own unique design? They have cute lil winter scarves and an art style that reminds me of the Magical Pokemon Adventure manga. A really cute and good bootleg that i would have loved to see as a real product! The only way you can even tell its a bootleg is because there's no marking on the tail. I dunno, maybe if i still have some brown fabric in the cupboard i could fix it? Or maybe its unique tail makes it even more special! I mean there's Cosplay Pikachu with its double tail marking so maybe this is her cousin Accessory Pikachu with no markings? He just likes wearing scarfs and hats and stuff. OMG HE'S THE POKEMON GO EVENT PIKACHU!!!!!!

Along the miscness of finding a few things for myself, i also found: cute lil pokemon pencilcase, kingdom hearts blind bag, cheap copy of Fruits Basket volume 1 cos the new remake is coming out soon and i wanna Get Hype! The KH blind bag was really weird cos i didnt know they now have an entirely different set as well as the keychains i bought before. Its kind of a shame the art style doesnt match cos vexen is only in the keychains, alas! But i do really love these ones! Theyre apparantly made by funko pop but dont have the art style AT ALL, they just look like really accurate versions of the characters in mini form. Its kinda like the 'distance animation' style in steven universe? (Incidentally they also do SU ones but they missed the opportunitu to actually use the distance style, lol) I got a Sora in his kh2 outfit and i'm decently happy with that, its not one i really wanted but its not a bad one either. But i think now i've tried the fun of surprise once i'll just buy the actual ones i want off ebay later. They have roxas in his organization outfit! With a happy smile!!!

Oh oh and then EVEN MORE XBOX GAMES OF THE WILD THRIFT STORE VOID! i managed to find the whole fable series, two assassins creeds, saints row, gta, some misc shooter games and racers that she wanted but i dont know much about, mass effect 2 and ff13. I think maybe one or two others cos i cant fully remember right now. Theyre all in separate bags strewn across the room and my shoulders feel like death so i'll sort through them later.

Aaaand i wrote up like 14 paragraphs more but tumblr didnt save my draft fpr some fuckin reason and now im way too tired to do it again

Briefer summary:

* had a huge horrible panic attack getting stuck in a skyscraper shopping centre clothes place full of screaming and every perfume smell and WHY DO I HAVE TO NAVIGATE THIS HELL MAZE TO FIND THE ESCALATOR and seriously i was my most primal animalistic self and i went full fight or flight on this bitch

* had a lovely time visiting Cool Shop Grandma and rambled the story of how i met her and how we became friends but hhh too tired to rewrite. But anyway today i gave her a christmas pikachu plush as thanks for everything and cos her shop is moving on to its next location soon. She got really teary and gave me a big hug! She's gonna be at a comic con in march so i hope i'm able to go to that and see her again.

* went on a wild goose chase looking for harry potter merchandise and eventually found a gold plated replica of the movie prop version of the time turner and HELL YES my sis will love it!

* rambled about several market stalls that were cool but i can make a separate post about that in the morning when i find their contact details to advertise them

* got a plushie delibird and decided to take selfies with it everywhere to try and fight my social anxiety somehow. We went to a neat lil restaurant and had cheesy fries and a coke float!

* asked for a refund on an item for the first time ever and im proud of myself

* went off on a mystery bus trip to buy a preowned 3ds and pokemon games from a lady in an online preowned stuff facebook group and it didnt go horribly and i am glad! She was really nice and i witnessed A Good And Smart Parenting Moment and man it healed my heart and i wish i'd been raised that way. Again i'll probably ramble about the details later when im less tired, it really touched my heart seriously! And now i have MANY GIFTS FOR SIS!

* in total i was out present shopping from 9am to 8pm and i clicked my shoulder out of its socket for a split second from.all the heavy bags. Now im in a lot of aches and i need a sleeps

Hi! I'm still kinda new to the blog and I was wondering what are the 'do and do-not' kind question I should do? What was your inspiration for this blog? hoo boy well,,, ultimately i thought of them rooming together and got emotional and made a huge list of headcanons and was like ,,, why not run an askblog for a bit ill just abandon it after three asks lets have some fun. but somehow im still here and i got sucked in by the complexity of michael and jeremy. i know that sounds kinda silly but just, as someone who is dealing with a lot of similar things, like dependency issues and abandonment issues and depression and anxiety, having these fun functioning character to explore was such a gift for me. i believe honestly thats why im still here and doing this. being able to try and portray a healthy relationship and a healthy way of coping and growing has helped me a lot this past month and given me an outlet i didnt have before. TBH THO the main reason i made this blog if imma be real with u guys id because i didnt like the treatment of a lot of these issues in the fandom. it made me very upset to see depression used as an plot device and michaels dependency issues treated as romantic so i wanted to make a blog that had little to no angst. an art style question. how do you keep the design of characters consistent from frame to frame? my characters they look a lil different every time I draw em (or a lot different) and it tends to disrupt the flow of my comics/animations ohh boy hoo wee props for doing animations im too scared to give that a whirl but!! it helps that i draw all the panels for an ask on one canvas! so if my next panel is going to be the same character in the same spot just in a diff pose i keep the lower layer on just at low opacity so i can use it as a ref! that helps me a lot!

Any advice for running an ask blog?? Furthermore, it delivers an uniquely well-rounded set of features including 4G LTE capabilities (even allowing phone calls!), near stock Android experience (with a promised update to Android 9 arriving soon), and support for a pressure sensitive stylus pen called the HiPen H3. In short, although raw performance might not beat the latest iPad Pro, for only $200, it’s a good enough alternative at a fraction of the cost. And that in itself is already a pretty amazing feat; the Hi9 Plus is one of the best value tablets on the market.

Design & Build Quality

As aforementioned, the Hi9 Plus offers an impressive construction for an affordable tablet. Similar to Xiaomi’s Redmi phones, the back is made 90% out of metal, leaving only a small plastic strip on the top edge to serve as the antennas to improve reception.

The overall feeling in the hand is solid - significantly better than most competitors using all-plastic at this price point - and surprisingly thin at only 8.1mm. The power button is accentuated in red, and the edges of the tablet are chamfered, giving it an extra shine when reflected by light. Nice!

For those with experience using Chuwi’s tablets, the aesthetics match the Hi9 series. That is, the Hi9 Plus bares strong resemblance to the 8” Hi9 Pro, expect that the “pro” is shrunken down in dimensions (ironically despite the “pro” moniker...the “plus” is actually the flagship for Chuwi at the moment).  Bezel sizes are respectable for a tablet, while not invisible, it makes for comfortable gripping using 2 hands without obstructing parts of the screen. Overall, the dimensions are similar to Chuwi’s 10” HiPad, although the Hi9 Plus has a larger display (10.8”), showing improved design considerations.

Both cameras have a resolution of 8 megapixels. There’s no assisted LED flash, but the sensors are made by Samsung, and the quality is good enough for the purposes of document scanning and video calls.

On the back, the Chuwi Hi9 Plus offers stereo speaker for added immersiveness when watching videos.

Although the speakers lack some depth in my opinion, they do get plenty loud, and the tablet retains a standard 3.5mm headphone jack! A rare thing to see these days, especially since the tablet also offers USB-C, in addition to Bluetooth support for wireless headphones and speakers. For a 2019 Android tablet, the I/O selection is honestly pretty good, considering tablets these days no longer include full-sized USB ports or HDMI ports due to their thin dimensions.

Display & Stylus

The 10.8-inch display offers an 6:10 aspect ratio, with a pin-sharp 2K resolution. Text, images, and fine details are clearly legible (even without zooming in), making this an excellent tablet to use for the purposes of entertainment or media consumption. The full lamination means that there’s no gap between the multi-touch enabled glass and the LCD underneath it, reducing glare in outdoor scenarios. The only slight quirk is that the screen isn’t the brightest I’ve seen, although I found it to be perfectly acceptable in terms of visibility under moderate sunlight. Overall, this is one of the best displays you’ll find on any Android tablet at any price, when it comes to sharpness and detail. Competing tablets with this resolution typically sell for hundreds of dollars more.

Aside from the display, another strong selling point for the Hi9 Plus is the stylus support; a feature that is rarely found on tablets under $500.  I picked up the HiPen for $20 extra, and my experience with it has been satisfactory thus far. The pen itself is constructed out of a hefty aluminum, and allows it to be magnetized to the edge of the tablet when not in use. Unlike Wacom stylus pens, however, this one does require a battery to be switched every year or so (AAAA size, similar to the Surface Pen). This pen supports 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The pen can be used to navigate the UI (in place of using a finger), and the sensitivity has been great, although not 100% as elegant as the much more expensive-Wacom devices. For example, there’s no “hovering” cursor that I could see when using the pen close to the display (like on a S-Pen or Apple Pencil), although recognition (when pressing down) is still very good.

Now, I’ve come across several reviewers claiming that the pressure sensitivity doesn’t work...which is wrong. Either these reviewers were not diligent enough in trying out compatible apps in the Play Store (i.e. “ArtFlow” is one such free option, among other apps, which I downloaded and recognized pressure sensitivity perfectly), or that Chuwi somehow updated these tablets. For example, some of the older reviewers didn’t seem to have the red colored power button (they were black before), so perhaps this is a “updated” edition of the Hi9 Plus. In any case, the pen support is nothing to complain about anymore.

Digging a little deeper into my experiences using ArtFlow, the experience was like using a real pen and paper. Pressing harder on the screen resulted in a thicker/darker line, versus gentle sketches resulted in very light lines. This felt very natural, and combined with good enough palm rejection (not much accidental touches with resting a hand on the screen when drawing), makes this a great digital sketchbook for artists, creatives, and notetakers. Although professional artists will technically find more levels of pressure sensitivity on some Wacom enabled models, for the price, this has already exceeded my expectations on it’s sensitivity and fluidity for casual use.  

Performance & Software

Although everything up to this point has read like a premium, flagship tablet, the processing power is more in-line with other middle-of-the-road devices. That’s certainly not a bad thing, especially now that in 2019, middle-tier phones and tablets are honestly good enough for the vast majority of consumers (and with significant cost savings), compared to the old days where performance differences were much more noticeable.

The MediaTek Helio X27 deca-core processor (ten cores, up to 2.6GHz) delivers generally smooth performance in real-world usage, similar to Snapdragon 600-series devices I’ve tried. General navigation is responsive - especially after giving the tablet a few extra seconds to warm up after booting up - and intensive apps (i.e. Asphalt 9 or PUBG) render without issues as well, save for the occasional delay in loading.

In heavier apps, the tablet gets slightly warm near the antenna strip, but never too hot or uncomfortable to hold. Overall, the X27 is a tried and tested by now; although it’s not a replacement for a Snapdragon 800-series chip, it nevertheless performs reliably without thermal throttling.

Also good: 4GB of RAM and a 64GB internal storage are among the higher configurations you’ll find for any Android tablet. RAM in particular is plenty, and allows for comfortable multi-tasking in Chrome (web browsing). I will say that because of the super high display resolution, the processor has to do significantly more work to push around those pixels. As a result, when running the device to it’s limit(i.e. 6 tabs + 5 games and apps in the background), you’ll start to notice some more choppier animations when rapidly scrolling a web page. Not too big of a deal, but it’s a trade-off of having the 2K display (whereas a FHD panel might be a touch less taxing on the CPU and GPU).

General use including watching back YouTube videos, reading the news, checking emails, etc. are all handled effortlessly without any issues. Gmail in particular takes advantage of the larger display, giving me 3 panels of information at a glance - allowing for faster productivity than on a smartphone. Of course, Android Oreo also has native support for split screen multitasking, which works well, and allowed me to run 2 apps side-by-side. Pretty cool!

As touched upon, Chuwi has promised an over-the-air software update to Android 9 for its X27 devices. Although this update is yet to arrive, I have already received one minor security update while using the tablet over the last few days, which is an optimistic sign of things to come (fingers crossed). Software updates have historically been scarce on budget tablets, so if what Chuwi says holds true, it’s yet another differentiating factor to consider.

Battery Life

The 5000mAh battery lasted me around 9 hours of video playback and light web browsing before it reached empty. Although this isn’t as long as what the iPad can achieve, it’s more than sufficient for a full day of heavy use, or a couple days of light use. Again considering the larger display of this model, and the 2K resolution, I find this to be an acceptable metric overall. The USB-C port charges up the tablet in respectable speed, getting me from 0 to 100 in under 3 hours.

Conclusion

As I typed this review, the phrase that I kept repeating was “good enough”. Although this tablet isn’t revolutionary, it can be considered ‘disruptive’, bringing surprisingly good features at a price that’s hard to beat. So is it an iPad killer? Not in the typical sense of outperforming the more established competitor across traditional metrics. Yet, it comes so close to offering the same essential capabilities, that for the vast majority of consumers it can be seen as an affordable replacement possibly worth the switching cost, now more than ever.

In 2019, budget Android tablets are finally getting good. Dangerously good.

Different anon: there's a lot of things I wouldn't consider nsfw myself, but it was explained to me that nsfw is things a parent would freak out about if seen on their kids computer. And like, it doesn't look nsfw to me but I could see where a parent wouldn't be willing to listen to the explanation.

hey my dude! nsfw is less about what is explicit sexual content and more about what someone would get in trouble for viewing at work or wouldn't want minors to see. you're totally free to feel one way or another about the freedom of the human body and depicting it through art is your prerogative, but tagging nsfw is just courteous. 

ok so like… i understand that nsfw is a vague AF term and could mean anything. i do personally use it only to tag artwork that is sexual in nature because of tumblr’s filtering systems. the thing is, i don’t believe kissy fanart is more likely to get someone fired than any other kind of fanart, if viewed at work where you shouldn’t look at fanart. and i guess i just don’t think a drawing of two men cuddling in bed is particularly damaging to kids? i suppose you can read a sexual implication but i honestly only intend to illustrate some tender affection, and it’s not meant to be at all sexual or erotic.

i’m feeling a bit lectured to because i have a separate blog for R18 drawings that is appropriately flagged and VERY thoroughly tagged, and i am dutifully tagging for nudity, so it’s not like i’m being irresponsible or discourteous. and I can’t shake the feeling that if I was drawing a heterosexual relationship with the same level of intimacy, i wouldn’t be getting these admonishments.

that said, i will definitely try to consider more thoroughly how other people might see my work in the future, and maybe be a little more discerning about which works get put on this blog. i’m trying to keep this blog 15+, so i don’t intend to put ANY works that require a nsfw tag here at all, but i do get that the kind of intimacy i’m putting out might ping the same squicks that actual sex does.

it’s an extremely R18 fantasy-historical romance trilogy by queer australian author c. s. pacat! it’s got some heavy themes (the handling of it ranges from good to tolerable, imo – for a point of reference, it does not get worse than Game of Thrones and is far less indulgent) and it definitely won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but i really enjoyed the romance in it so much. damen and laurent are in love
