2. SO SCANDALOUS
"-ess.. princess. wake up, we need to get ready. kacchans making pancakes right now."
grumbling, she turns over to look at her clock. it's 10:15am, izuku let her sleep in a bit. today, the class was going out to the mall then the arcade to have class bonding time. with everything that's gone on, from the USJ incident and the tension from the sports festival, to the fight with stain (where endeavor unfairly took credit, causing the girl to have a "slight" hatred for him), and even the final exams, having to go against All Might with Bakugo and Midoriya, it was just a lot to handle. they're just kids, and kids need breaks.
walking into the bathroom, the girl began her daily morning routine.
"damn.. i look ROUGH..!" she said as she looked in the mirror. her bonnet looked as if it was trying to run away, her tank top was all twisted up, right boob was up in russia while the left one stayed home in america. she had eye boogers all around and her angel bite piercings were no where to be found.
she slept good.
"you know what... let me just wash my face right now and i'll do everything else after i eat."
her face care routine consists of ; black african soap, witch hazel, hydration drops, and a bit of coco butter.
finishing up and putting away her stray boobs, she found one of bakugos stolen hoodies and made her way downstairs.
(i would just like to add that she sleeps in boxers so yk that ass lookin fat 😋)
"good morning guys!" she greeted everyone, with a slight smile and wave. almost everyone was up, with the exception of a few people.
"hii y/n!"
"mornin bestie!!"
"Good Morning, Y/n! Glad to see you awake!"
and so on and so forth
"mornin angel.. im making your pancakes right now, but there's bacon on the tiny burner and i made u a tiny omelette. those burner thingies really come in handy, you know?"
"its a heating tray, katsu. and yes, that's why i bought them." she bought them for holidays like christmas and american thanksgiving, but since there's 21 kids living in one dorm, it's used more than expected.
"is that my fucking hood?? i've been looking for that for weeks!" bakugo exclaimed, turning around to give the girl a plate so that she could fix her food. "when the hell did you even- whatever.. as long as i get it back."
(Spoiler Alert, he doesn't)
"erm.. anyways..! so guys, what time are we supposed to be leaving??" asked y/n, going to take a seat next to shoji.
"Well, we're trying to leave for the mall around 12:45 since it isn't far, then leave the mall no later than 4:30-5." yaomomo began to explain. "I was able to rent the arcade from 6:15 to 10:30, food and drinks included, along with lazer tag , and we get the option of going in the bounce area, so when we get there just let me know."
"damn yaomomo... i knew you was stacked but DAMN!!"
"ong, bro's LOADED.."
"i'm calling you if i need to bailed out of jail."
"honestly guys it's not much, i just want us to have fun and relax as a class while being safe!" yaomomo said with a small smile on her face. she was literally loaded, like pockets so deep they could fit 3 gallons of milk each, pockets so swole they need an ice pack, pockets so fat they need they own TLC show type rich. but even so, she didn't like to flaunt her wealth. she'd rather use her money to pay for gifts and events for her friends, rather than to flex some diamond earrings or a gold necklace. She's still a teen girl though, so she still loves to go shopping. The girl is really just happy that she's found friends that actually love her for her, and not for her money.
"you're so cute yaomomo! i love you!"
"well thank you y-"
"if anyone, i mean ANYONE fucks with you, call me. these hands are rated E for Everyone. my fists are activists. i dont care if they're old, young, tall, short, fine, ugly, gay, straight. I believe in equality, and with equality comes equally distributed ass whoopings jus-"
"OK, n/n! i think momo gets how much you love her! since you're done eating can u help me?" midoriya interrupted the girls small rant.
"you gotta face the consequences of last night huh? you should've listened to me, but yeah i'll help!"
"you dont have to rub salt on the wound!" he whined. "i'll get stuff and meet in your room again?"
"sounds like a plan, izuku!" she replied, getting up to grab her plate and bring to the kitchen.
"OoOh y/n~" jirou began to tease. "last night? your room AGAIN? what scandalous activities have you been up to?"
"chill kyo, its not like that! he messed up his hair on his own and we always hang in my room bc its more.. welcoming.. then his."
"i know, y/n! im jus messin' with ya."
with her plate in hand, y/n walked into the kitchen where bakugo resided. he was cleaning the and putting away the dirty plates before he started to soak the pans.
"so, the nerd fell asleep in your room again huh?" he asked, washing a plate.
"yeah, he started to doze off a little while after you left, so he slept with me."
"i dont know why you guys dont just ask eachother out yet. you two are basically in love with eachother."
"katsuki, you know how i feel, and you know how zuku is. im pretty sure if he would act the same way with the rest of the class as he acts with us if he just trusted them more." she informed, getting ready to wash her plate before bakugo snatched it.
"don't even try it." ever since they could crawl, they've never let the girl lift a finger. hungry? chef katsuki at your service! scraped your knee? Dr.deku to the rescue! and yes, they know that she's the perfectly capable and well off to do these things on her own, but why should she when she has two men to do it for her?
"anyways. we've all known eachother since literally birth. i see things, i observe things. you two are literally inseparable. im pretty sure y'all first words were eachothers names. you know how you act around him, you see with your own two (or four) eyes the way he acts with you, and im pretty sure he peeps it too. just ask eachother out already and stop being pussies for fucks sake!"
"oh my gosh?? shut the fuck up?? you're so damn loud??" she said, slapping him in the back of his neck.
"aye. try me again and we gotta tussle. i'm not deku. i'll will beat the black off you. i strike so much fear into your melanin pigmentation that it will come to me."
"whatever katsuki, u can run me my ones later, i gotta go help zuku now."
"ight then angel, u better be ready. see ya later."
with that, she finally left the kitchen and headed towards her dorm to meet izuku.
.*•
"finally.." the boy sighed. it's now 11:45 am, and they (she) just finished detangling, moisturizing, and somewhat styling his hair. at this point, her fingers and wrists were tired, her back was aching, her feet were sore, and she had the very violent urge to go back to her black roots and pop this nigga with the comb.
"I know damn well YOU not heavy breathing like you did some work. all yo lazy ass did was sit there and watch Netflix. YOU COULDN"T EVEN HOLD THE DAMN SPRAY..."
"I'm sorry, ma. thank you so much, I should've listened to you last night. now do you already have clothes ready? or do you need to pick something out?" he asked, pulling her into a hug and rubbing her back.
".. you better be so lucky i love you. but yes, i need to pick. have u chosen?"
" yup, right before I came to wake you up. so i'll help you if you want?"
"yes please"

my thoughts on twc book 3
spoilers ahead! feel free to drop ur own opinions on things in my ask
anyways let’s get into it. this will be long-ish
so i will just say that book 3, much like the previous books, does read like a young adult fantasy book. which does kind of makes sense given mishka has said in the past that twc was going to be a book at first, iirc. also the amount of GRRRR GROWLING these vampires do........ like all the time
the blood drive... why was it included. i don't understand because it turned out to be such a Non-Problem. which it was never a problem to begin with, seeing as there are 2384923 legitimately normal reasons the detective could've come up with to Not participate in the drive. i genuinely would've loved for the auction to have lasted Wayyy longer and to have been wayyy more nerve-wracking than it actually was.
i do feel like the slow burn of M and A's routes have been...... Not as slow as i expected? while i did actually enjoy both of those routes, particularly M's, A's in particular felt... a bit ooc at times? in my opinion, the outward denial of A's feelings should've lasted longer, at least until book 4 or 5. especially since it's still only been, what, a few months since they all met? some of these vampires have lived for centuries. they wouldn't just Give up on repressing the feelings and admitting them after less than a year of knowing the detective?? especially when there's 7 books in total planned. there's still plenty of time
i feel like a love confession with F would've made more sense than with N. i really wish we were given the option with F, and not with N. i also have a lot of grievances with N's route in this book, particularly because they can admit their feelings to the detective while still omitting the part of themself they apparently don't want us to Ever Know. i understand the fear N has. it's just like...........,,,, how can N love the detective ALREADY when they can't even be completely honest with them about their past yet? in my opinion, it'd make more sense for a love confession to come after N telling the detective everything.
in terms of the tina bff route, @cekorax referenced something to me that made me even more uncomfortable with the flirting between tina and the agent sent to watch over her undercover as a police officer. firstly, it just feels weird, consent feels to be an issue here since tina doesn't Know they're an agent. and they're flirting with her. what my friend mentioned specifically was something that happened in the uk: undercover policemen sent to spy on activists ended up Marrying them. obviously we don't rly know where their ""relationship"" is gonna go (we CAN make likely assumptions tho lol) but it does make me nervous if this person is to be tina's love interest
rebecca............... i feel like there's usually 2 ways people feel about the relationship she has with the detective, and it seems to come down to one's personal experience. in my opinion, the detective holding something over rebecca's head that happened on their birthday at age 7 is a bit odd. but again this is coming from me, someone who did not have a parent who was similar to rebecca in any way. i will add i would've liked to have the choice of the detective to choose not to say anything about it, because mine wouldn't have even thought about it????? idk it just felt weird to me
lastly, i personally would have preferred to choose whether to stay detective & human liaison rather than have No Choice and have to become an agent. most of my detectives would've declined the offer. it kind of felt out of left field for me, i was veeery surprised when i read that scene. i didn't expect it
ok thank u for ur time <3

Hi! I really like your blog! I was just wondering, how do you manage to find canon-based marauders content? I’m pretty new to Tumblr and while I follow the main tags, I’m tired of the short and shallow Siriuses, activist Jameses, and naive Lupins that don’t seem anything like the marauders I fell in love with. And the hatred for Snape and the condescension towards his fans makes me super scared to interact with blogs since I have posted Snape content on my main blog and I feel like I’d be eaten alive. I’m so overwhelmed! Do you use filters to help you? Or is it just finding and following the right people? Thanks for any and all advice!
hello and thank you! <3
a lot of it honestly is just finding and following the right people. the exact balance of that is personal that it will take a while to feel like you're consistently seeing things on your own specific wavelength but it's definitely doable. i think once you find one blog you really align with, see who they interact with regularly, check out those blogs, then check out who those blogs follow, etc etc. i used to systematically go through likes and reblogs on posts i liked, but once you find a few blogs you really enjoy, you'll end up finding more like-minded people quite naturally. and honestly, anyone who expects you to have the exact same tolerances for different characters as they do is probably not going to be much fun to interact with anyway.
i use filters for things i absolutely never want to see but not everything gets tagged/not everything that is tagged is the thing you don't want to see (so much sirius solo art/gen marauder stuff is tagged wolfstar) but it works and i would recommend it for absolute no-gos.
the main tags unfortunately are not safe spaces anymore and tbh if there's anything worth seeing in there, someone else will reblog it so it ends up on your dash anyway. sometimes i look in the prongsfoot tag but if anything look at anti (ship)/anti (character) tags lol and sometimes finding people who dislike the same things as you is also a good way to find like-minded people - hating can work, kids.
specifically for mwpp stuff, in my broad experience, snape fans are often more comfortable with the morally grey thing so they have solid views on snape AND sirius, james and remus, tho obviously you get the ultra protective stans too. but def follow snape fans if you are even slighty interested in snape, it's a great way of seeing how other pockets of hp fandom function. also, you could have identical views on a character as someone but you love them and they hate them, for the same reasons, and i feel like the joy is in finding the same interpretation, it's very fun and just in life it's good to see different perspectives. i got unfollowed a while back for a snape post i can't even remember but it was like 5 people and honestly the right people will probably be cooler than you think about it :)
so really my advice boils down to:
know what you do and don't want to see
know what you can and can't tolerate seeing (things that annoy you or more serious triggers)
find connections through sources you trust
try finding a mix of people who like the same things as you do/people who dislike the same things you do/people who you might not always agree with in judgement but whose analyses and approaches are objective
and eventually you'll have a great balanced lil circle <3
anyway a few recommendations of people i follow who i think offer great hp ideas:
@remus-poopin @narcissa-black-supermacy @ashesandhackles @urupotter @act-more-like-a-dog-sirius
but also consider anyone i follow/interact with a lot an endorsement! hope u have fun exploring :)

Wtf is happening over on ofmd Twitter??
I dont tag in much so last i was aware was the ‘stede bonnet is a racist and u are too’ fluff. And this is of course my take. I only peak in anymore someone more involved might be able to explain better.
Theres some lovely ppl over there, gorgeous art and nsfw art too. But starting lets say may-ish a group of mostly young fans (judging by their profiles most were under 22) started saying most fans were racist for liking Stede Bonnet or Izzy and basically white people and straight ppl shouldnt be allowed to watch or be fans. If u like Con or Izzy (yup both) you were basically a klan member cuz clearly he thinks Ed is his slave etc. it goes on.
Look im white and cishet so im basically 3% of most of the fandom. But i found this particularly interesting cuz a lot of these people crossed over with Wwdits and no one wanted to talk about Kayvan Novak doing repeated blackface starting in 2015. They also didnt want to acknowledge Taika said some real terfy shit when he was my age in 2014 (mustve been an asshole era). Neither man has apologized (or mark proksch) and Kayvan doubled down on it last year.
So look i absolutely can not say how poc are allowed to feel. I just find it very odd they want to lynch Rhys and Con but are fine with Kayvan especially. Blackface to me seems like an ultimate sin.
So moving along… by the C2e2 they wanted to cancel Con for playing Izzy and slammed anyone who fangirled over him. A few weeks later Con made an insensitive comment about a tory having a coke nose, comparing it to a latine country. For some reason that didnt blow up til August. He did apologize and deleted or paused his twitter (he claimed before it blew up he would for filming and this coincided with filming beginning so hard to say). Most of them felt apologizing was no good and this was proof he was truly a racist playing a racist character.
(Fyi my personal belief is ppl should take responsibility, sincerely apologize, and never do x again).
Rhys’ wife is a royalist and when the Queen died they went after her and Rhys for saying Elizabeth’s death was sad. Wife doubled down. Ppl said proof shes racist and he should divorce her (i mean…i didnt love it but they really went after them. Im no royalist and think the queen was a colonizer.)
So then a few weeks ago Rhys Darby briefly replied to a friend that he felt playing Stede Bonnet was like reliving a past life. It was like 2 sentences. Ppl first thought it was cute, then this mob came to feast. They attacked any fan who liked it and attacked rhys so much he declared this is why he doesnt tweet much.
I personally took the tweet to mean he felt like he was reliving a life, not necessarily Stede Bonnet the real dude. But i mean shit if ur playing (or claiming) a rich white man pre 1860 the dude was likely a slave owner. Not a justification but liking a fictional character doesnt mean u think the fictional character is the real dude. I didnt know Stede Bonnet existed before ofmd. Real dude was a cunty slave owner who was prbly mentally ill and an asshole to his crew. I dont conflate Rhys’ bird of paradise bitchy queen with that dude. In my world Stede Bonnet is a fictional character. Fuck the real guy.
Soooo ive ranted nice and long here (sorry i have feelings). But the summary is theres a young mob of ofmd fans on twitter who want to prove they are activists by being assholes to real ppl who arent doing anything worth calling out…while also not calling out actors who really have done shit. Basically baby bullies. And oddly many of them are white so its even weirder. But thats that. I dont recommend bothering with it.

This is just kinda On My Mind lately and I thought I'd share a little. This isn't fandom related!
I tend to get a lot of questions around the WWW about how to support and show allyship to Indigenous folks and often I give the short and simple answer of "Reparations!" or "Go to your local rez and ask them" etc but I've had some more direct options mulling over in my mind for a few days and decided to lay them out for folks to share around.
1. Obviously reparations is one of the major ways you can help. Making sure even one Indigenous person can survive another day is going to do so SO much good.
2. Another great way you can help is just by being an emotional and mental sounding board every now and then. If things are rough for Indigenous ppl in the moment and u can see it, reach out to your friends who are suffering and just be kind to them. Let them know that you value them as people and not just a home-made poster about climate change.
3. And of course, there's also just going to the nearest rez and asking them what they need. Often they'll say something like donations(in the form of food, clothes, supplies, etc.) which is one of the MOST direct ways to impact change as an individual. You're helping to offset the number of ppl working against us by directly joining the ranks with action.
4. The thing I think I encourage the most, though, is going to the rez with the offer of physically showing up on a regular basis to be a support for people like land and water protectors, front-line activists, disabled community members who need more support than their rez can provide.
It should be noted that Covid is going to make a lot of that more complicated, u may not be able to help with community support on or around the rez for the safety of their vulnerable people, but one thing we will NEVER have enough of is people actively showing up to continuously support land and water protectors.
They face some of the hardest setbacks and take on some of the scariest battles in trying to take back our sovereignty. If you want to do the absolute MOST you can do to support LandBack, then you should go out to locations and actively support land and water protectors. Bring them food, water, shelter, seating, weather protective clothing and products. They're out there fighting for the safety and survival of our people, and they need literally all the help they can get.

❓ - what can u tell us about Piper’s non-BAU friends? Like what’s Chris up to? What’s Theo up to? 👀 Will we meet more of her friends?
as the series goes on, there will probably be other side characters and colleagues. for context, chris was based on conrad hawkins from the resident. he's an er doctor who becomes chief resident and eventually head of internal medicine at george washington university hospital. he's a very outdoorsy guy, spends weekends biking and hiking. he always wanted to join the army but didn't because his mom had cancer and he didn't wanna leave her. as a doctor, he's the complete opposite of dr house, he loves people and he loves stories and he loves community and i think that's why he and piper get along so well. i think she is a *little* wary that his girlfriend might not be the biggest fan of her, even if everything's completely platonic, so their interactions are really only reserved for work. you'll probably see him anytime piper needs help with something medical related. as for what he's up to, i think he likes working with the CDC if and when they need him.
theo pretty much disappears after arthur dies which i think was the straw on the back of a strained relationship. not that they're not good friends, but he is extremely aware of how much piper depends on him, so when arthur dies on the table from one of his inventions, theo feels like he failed her. i think he goes back to where he started in boston. it takes him a while to go back to surgery, i think he sticks to research for a year or two. he's not as much of a people person as piper is. to be fair, they didn't have a toxic relationship. when they first met in college, no-one really wanted to work with theo and he was an exchange student too so it was pretty rough on him. when they meet, piper's the first person who's eager to work with him, probably cause they have a kindred spirit. they're both ambitious, usually the youngest people in any office. i wrote theo to be asexual, even though he never really says it in the series. but to be fair, he's not really close enough to the BAU to come out to them, and growing up with two queer siblings, piper's not in the habit of outing people, she leaves that to them. as for what he's up to in terms of where i am in the series, like i said, i think he's going back into research. he's in a bit of a slump, scared of going back into surgery and i think when piper's ready, she's gonna go down to boston and help him get back where he needs to be.
i think an important distinction to make is that piper doesn't have a lot of non-work friends. there's enid who's very mrs hudson coded. then there's james charles from the small town she was living in. he'll generally make small cameos whenever they're in texas. any episode where they're in san francisco is an opportunity for more piper lore -- so characters from her father's precinct. true genius really digs deep into piper's high school life and her old friends. it's funny, i was just thinking that john blackwolf and piper would have been really good friends so in an alternate universe, i think piper and her mom would've lived on the same reservation for a few weeks and john would have been like a big brother to her and before they left, he gave her a tribal knife to protect her. she's friends with a lot of activists so if there's an episode centred on that, i do wanna sprinkle that in there. i don't think andrew makes another cameo, he's learned his lesson now. oh, piper was in a band growing up, sort of like a political punk group, so it'd be fun to revisit that, see where they are.
and then there's the spinoff characters from suspect behaviour and beyond borders that i'd love to bring back when relevant. and of course there's piper's brother and sister. at some point danny moves to DC and lucy gets a job with an orchestra and composes music on the side.

hello! i see you reblog tons of c- and k-dramas and i was wondering if there was a few of them in particular you'd recommend your followers to watch (other than cql & woh)?
boy can i! i dunno what you like, and i dont have anything exactly the same as woh and cql. but well i have a lot recs:
more historical shows (eh kinda)
nirvana in fire: known for being good, this is a historical political drama about A Dude's decade long scheme to get the emperor to publicly pardon many people he executed for treason. this is dense politics. there's factions.
sleuth of ming dynasty: exactly what it says. amateur detective meets guardsman, they're pretty married by episode 5. amazing food
joy of life: guy gets born in ancient china with 21st century memories and wants to find out why. it's mad funny and has several twists!
if you want something modern:
Reset: one of my faves. the two leads are stuck in a timeloop that ends when the bus they're on explodes. tbh the solution of the mystery falls a little flat but this show Gets the timeloop setting
romance is a bonus book: this is about a woman who can't get a job after taking a break to raise her kid. she pretends she never went to college to get an intern job at her bff's publishing house. this one is for you if you like books
and if ur interested in a thai show, how bout not me the series. this is about A Guy who pretends to be his estranged and currently comatose twin brother while trying to figure out who in his brother's gang possibly hurt him. he then discovers his brother's gang is actually a political activist group (this is my current obsession)
hopefully i got something that sounds interesting in here to you! im not sure what u like but if u wanna request more specific things u can totally drop me another ask np

man i really thought the dynamic of the three leads in oasis would be somewhat similar to the three leads in chicago typewriter or my country. well at least that's what the first few eps seemed to be going for
but it became just one of those many annoying kdrama love triangles bcs of the 2nd lead. idek where the plot is going atp
i still like the drama tho. cuz im a sucker for angst no matter how frustrating it gets. and i dont rlly mind where the plot goes. i just wish the three leads maintained their unbreakable bond no matter how complicated their circumstances turn out
like with the 2nd male leads in chicago typewriter and my country, as frustrating as it may be, i still understood why they had to make the choices they made. i wouldnt defend them but i get them. i loooove the 2nd lead in chicago typewriter no matter what and the three leads are still among my top fav kdrama trios. i hated the 2nd lead in my country but i get why he had to turn to the bad side. like theres an actual depth in his characterization
but with cheolwoong its rlly just immaturity, jealousy, and insecurity.
(get ready for a cheolwoong hate essay)
hes still the same highschool boy who would come home crying bcs doohak ranked 1st on top of the whole class. the same boy who was competing "fair and square" to win the heart of their highschool crush. the same boy who would make other ppl do the dirty work for him cuz hes a pretentious coward
the way he is so ready to throw away his lifelong brotherhood with doohak for his highschool crush who he knew for a few yrs and who never even led him on to make him think he has any chance with her
the doohak who he called his hyung his entire life. the doohak who did everything he told him to until highschool. the doohak who would fight his fights. the doohak who /involuntarily/ went to prison for a crime HE COMMITTED just bcs he begged him to tho he knew it would ruin doohaks life. like id be so ashamed to even show up in front of him. if he asks for something, id do it right away without considering it as a payment for my debt cuz nothing could make up for what doohak had to go through bcs of me
not to mention doohak also singlehandedly saved him (again... for the nth time) against that group of college students without any help from anyone
he couldnt even make up his mind if he wishes to save or betray doohak like how he remained neutral with the student activists vs gov thing in his college days. like if ure gonna be the bad guy, just be the bad guy and let me hate u entirely
like u can tell he still cares for doohak (reason why i thought theyd have this unbreakable brotherhood even when they act like enemies in front of eo but theyd come running to save eo when needed to cuz they know deep down they love eo like the male leads in the 2 dramas i mentioned above) but i guess he doesnt care for him enough to let him be happy after all those years of suffering (which he caused)
doohaks friendship with his gang members is even more precious than theirs. like i would trust any of the gang members with doohaks life but not cheolwoong
also the lack of self awareness??? he always brings up doohaks flaws when hes actually way worse
anyway i hope the writers dont give him redemption arc just for the sake of giving everyone a good ending. i want him miserable and i want to hate him until the end. when he finds out the truth abt his birth, i want him IN SEVERE PAIN. i want him to be so ashamed to even go near doohak. on top of that, i want jungshin cutting him off her life for good and giving him the same disgusted face she gave doohak when she found out hes part of a gang. I WANT HIM SUFFERING
and give doohak and jungshin their happy ending ffs! they literally just want a peaceful life together without all these makjang drama. theyve been through soooo much since they were young and until now. enough is enough

ngl some tswift songs are good, but I just don't really like her & I think it has more to do with this insane parasocial image she has plus it left a bad taste in my mouth when an old moot back on my lurker blog was being racially attacked by other swifties (when she was a swiftie herself so I saw all this go down on my dash before she deleted bc of all this) & tons of other black fans of hers were like begging on here for her to say literally anything about the 2020 blm protests or just condemn the ppl throwing racist insults at fellow fans & she just.... didn't. just straight up checked out & left them to deal with it & whined about being pressured, which led to those black fans getting even more racist shit hurled at them by white fans & them getting blamed for her leaving tumblr. That really really left a bad taste in my mouth like how are u folding like a lawn chair against even the slightest pressure to take a firm stance on something? especially after the whole scene in her documentary crying about wanting to be more politically active & "on the right side of history" ok when are u gonna do that then? bc she didn't do it during tour stops in tennessee this year either, where the anti drag bills are the worst, despite parading drag queens around like show dogs in her rainbow capitalism music video a few years ago. that would've been a great time for some of that political activism to show up but instead it only shows up when it's about her & when it's convenient for her. she's nothing but a fence rider bc she doesn't want to isolate portions of her face base (which is gross considering how many of them are literal neo nazis). Plus she's not even a milquetoast feminist & her song the man isn't some feminist anthem because it's not about getting rid of the so called "man on top" or creating equity it's about wanting that place on top for herself without necessarily changing any of the bad things that man gets away with bc she wants to get away with it too. That's not feminism in the slightest. Not to mention it's impossible to ethically become a billionaire, which she's projected to be soon. Who makes all the million different cash grab vinyls & merch? what do they get paid? certainly not a fair amount if she's contractually ending up with the lions share of profit to be on track to become a billionaire. how much fucking pollution does she create by flying private from tour stop cities back to new york every single day to have dinner? the reason a lot of people dislike her is literally because of all that shit, it's not about internalized misogyny it's the fact that pretending to be some activist while being the most spineless person alive yet constantly being praised for it is fucking insane & people are allowed to point that out without constantly being accused of only disliking her because she's a woman. That's irrelevant to the conversation tbh & really infantilizes & undercuts the people trying to hold serious conversations about why nobody should look to celebrities as a cornerstone of their activism when celebrity activism usually looks exactly like that, whishy washy bullshit

tbh i think the post is representative of a theory (radical feminism) taken to it's natural conclusion, not an argument for a long term solution to issues around public restrooms. the point being made is that it's a natural extension of radfem beliefs that transmen should have access to female only spaces, no matter what their secondary sex characteristic have been changed to look like. of course, because this is based on a political theory, it would require everyone to act according to the theory in order for it do actually make sense in daily life (otherwise it would require external enforcement). the reality, of course, (and i think most radfems know this) is that a long term solution is not a set of ideas, but policies like the ones you described, that will accommodate for the realities of daily life, such as that we judge people's sex off of a few seconds of interaction with them unless we have reason to reconsider it.
idk i think in most cases where someone talks abt the "natural conclusion" of an ideology its like. not actually a natural conclusion at all. like it would be the natural conclusion of the one simple statement "a woman is an adult human female". (perhaps w an added "womens spaces should be for any and all women and only women" but u could say thats implicit in just the phrase "womens spaces" anyway making it a natural conclusion there but whatever.) but no ideology is ACTUALLY built solely around one single statement. radical feminism isn't just that one statement it's a movement comprised of many many women who agree on some core tenents but also have plenty of varied & complex beliefs. so i don't think there IS any one natural conclusion to 'radfem theory' bc there's not even one radfem theory or one radfem point of view. aren't ppl always talking abt how dworkin was pro-inclusion of transwomen in the feminist movement? (forgive me i dont know specifics on that i havent read much dworkin i hate ebooks so bad im SORRY.) she was very definitely a radical feminist but she clearly didn't have all the same conclusions as many other radical feminists.
& u say (and i think most radfems know this) abt shit requiring practical real-life solutions/policies but im not so sure they DO! not on this website anyway. i think a lot of women who call themselves radfems dont truly understand that having like. 3 core beliefs and no complex personal views built around that will NOT translate into reality. and i think many many more do /technically/ know that but would rather waste time dumbing shit down and sticking rigidly to what they think are the official radfem party lines or smthn cause they want to win arguments on the internet. and i think a lot of trans activists do the same. and i think that's why ppl keep having these dumb arguments instead of actually trying to agree on a solution and BOTH push for that solution to be implemented in real life in a practical way.

so sick n tired of mocking the poor being such commonplace 4 ppl to do. all thru-out my life ive been made fun of n mocked 4 being poor n im abt 2 just start beating the shit out of ppl. when i was younger, ppl wld ask if i had heat n water in my home. 1 of my ex-friends treated me like a spectacle bc my house /literally isnt finished being built/ n hasnt been for Years n years n years. i have a friend currently who makes fun of me 4 having chronic disability n no food in my house whenever i go home from school. he says shit like "u keep me arnd bc i give u food when u dont have any at ur house" as if he is proud 2 be my "savior" 4 giving me chips every 1nc in a while. i have 2 wear the same clothes multiple days in a row, for a few reasons, but 1 of the main 1s is that i dont have clean clothes 2 wear a lot of the time. ppl point this out 2 me. they ask why im still wearing the same shirt from yesterday. im made fun of when i tell them any reason why i cant change my clothes. the ppl who are supposed 2 b "activist" or whatever abt this shit will make fun of the poor too. no1 is exempt from it. 'u have a worse living condition than i do, n quite frankly i think thats hilarious!' . How abt u ask ppl in ur life who r struggling if u can help them instead of mocking n shaming them 4 struggling. dont force urself in2 helping sm1. ASK THEM if they want help, respect if they dont, help if u can, however u can. bc Maybe. just MAYBE. it's better for every1 if u help ppl instead of degrading n insulting them. come the fuck on.

I’m Not ‘Differently Abled.’ I’m Disabled.
‘Disabled’ isn’t a bad word — don’t be afraid to use it
8 min read
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Online classes can do so much to spread knowledge,” one panelist noted. “Even if you’re living in a very remote, rural area, you can still make it to class — provided your internet connection can handle it.”
“Online classrooms are also more international classrooms,” another person observed. “I have students in South Korea, Hawaii, and Ireland.”
After a few other people shared their experiences, I decided to share another example. “Online classes are also much easier for disabled students to attend. As long as your course materials are transcribed and all your images have captions, your online classroom can be really approachable to blind, Deaf, and paralyzed students.”
A few professors nodded, a few tensed up. One woman seemed particularly uncomfortable with my observation, though she broadcasted that discomfort in an overly pleasant, smiley way.
“Oh so true,” she said. “Just last year in our department we had one student, she was… she was a person with a hearing impairment. She worked so hard. She did as well as anyone else in that class. You wouldn’t have even guessed she was differently abled than anybody else.”
I knew this woman meant well, but I couldn’t help but cringe.
At least once a week, I’ll be talking with some otherwise well-informed, well-meaning social justice activist type about a pressing social issue — like transphobia, rape culture, or racism — and the time will come for me to casually remind them of how ableism intersects with the issue in various unique ways, and completely changes the dynamic of oppression.
I’ll mention, for example, how some transgender people can never access hormones or surgery because of a medical condition; how the struggle for women in wheelchairs to be perceived as a non-sexual being is sometimes an equally pressing problem as being objectified; how the risk of police brutality against Black people is heightened even further when the Black person in question has a mental illness or physical tick.
I can always tell when somebody finds this acknowledgment of ableism hard to handle. Their face takes on a slightly pinched, wincing quality, which they try to hide with a smile. The way I’ve described disability has made them uncomfortable, and they want to evacuate that area of discomfort as quickly as possible. So they say something upbeat and dismissive, like, “Well, yes, people do so much to underestimate the differently abled!” and try to hastily return to familiar conversational ground.
When this happens, I try to slow the person down, and let them know that their understanding of disability is seriously flawed. If a person is so uncomfortable with disability that they feel the need to euphemistically label it something like “differently abled,” I know that they are in need of a crash course in disability justice.
You don’t have to take part in the elaborate, unsettling song and dance of denying a person’s disability or hiding it behind a euphemism.
When a person uses phrases like “special,” “handi-capable,” and “differently abled,” it tells me they have a lot to learn about how disabled people function in society. These are people who tend to believe comforting platitudes like “the only disability is a bad attitude,” and tend to find it “inspiring” when they see a video of a person with Down Syndrome going to prom. In real life, these same folks are usually squeamish about acknowledging that someone around them has a disability.
I’m here to tell you, you don’t have to take part in the elaborate, unsettling song and dance of denying a person’s disability or hiding it behind a euphemism. You can cut straight through the condescension. If a person has a disability, you can just call them disabled. It’s not a bad word or a source of shame. In fact, acknowledging disability openly can help us fight against ableism and injustice. Here’s how:
Disabilities present real barriers
Using the phrase “differently abled” is a bit like dismissing biphobia by saying “well, everybody’s a little bit bisexual.” The phrase implies that since everyone is a little bit different, ability-wise, “disabled” isn’t really a meaningful category that sets people apart.
It’s true that every person has a different ability level. However, some people truly are impaired, or lack certain abilities that abled people possess. When you imply that everyone is a bit different, you end up silencing the people who are different in ways that leave them marginalized or excluded.
Often, being disabled means lacking a physical or mental function that abled people have, or functioning in a significantly altered way. A person who cannot walk does not have “different walking abilities” than a person who can walk. They can’t walk. That function is disabled. This doesn’t make them inferior—it just means that they benefit from having access to tools like wheelchairs.
I’m Autistic, and while Autism has brought many wonderful things into my life, it also is a developmental disability. I didn’t socially or emotionally develop at the same pace as an abled person. For years, I lacked the ability to understand my own emotions or recognize when I was hungry, tired, or stressed. It took me until my mid-twenties to develop social skills that most people have by their teens.
I’m not “differently abled.” I’m disabled. And that’s okay to say. In fact, openly acknowledging a disability allows us to have frank conversations about a person’s needs and limits. Physically disabled people often need access to tools like chairlifts, elevators, wheelchairs, canes, and pain medication. Mentally disabled people often need sensory-friendly spaces, relaxed social expectations, and for complex topics to be explained in clear, direct ways. When we avoid the word “disabled,” we make expressing these distinct needs much more difficult.
Society dis-ables us
A disability is much more than a set of clear-cut physical or mental symptoms. Often, society excludes and ignores disabled people in a way that actively robs us of agency and ability. It’s not just our conditions that disable us. We are also “dis-abled” by a society that is unaccommodating or outright hostile.
Here’s a really simple example. In the United States, eye contact is very important for navigating a lot of professional and legal settings. Your job prospects can be torpedoed if you fail to look an interviewer in the eye. If you have the misfortune of being unfairly accused of a crime, a lack of eye contact can get you labeled dishonest or even sociopathic.
People with Autism, social anxiety, PTSD, blindness, or any other condition that impacts eye contact are at a major disadvantage when they navigate the social world. There’s no reason for mainstream American culture to associate eye contact with confidence, trustworthiness, and respectability; many other cultures take a lack of eye contact as a sign of respect. However, in a culture that requires eye contact, people who find eye contact painful are disabled more than they otherwise would be.
This process of social dis-abling happens with many other disabilities as well. If we valued wheelchair users more as a society, more homes and public buildings would have ramps, elevators, and lifts. But we don’t, and so we often value historical preservation or cost-cutting over accessibility. This robs wheelchair users of the ability to access rental properties, shopping centers, workplaces, public resources, and much more. In a word, they have been dis-abled by our misplaced priorities. So “disabled” is the exact right word to use for it.
There’s no reason to tiptoe around the reality of someone being disabled unless you consider those things to be shameful.
This, by the way, is also why most disability activists reject person-first language. Calling me a “person with Autism” may sound more gentle to an abled-person’s ears than simply calling me Autistic, but the fact is that Autism is an innate, embedded part of who I am. I am not a “person with Autism,” I am Autistic. Autism is not a tacked-on attribute, or a curse. It’s a part of me just like my nonbinary-ness, my whiteness, or any other meaningful trait.
I also choose to capitalize Autism and Autistic for the same reasons that members of the Deaf community capitalize Deaf; it’s an identifier I am proud of, a mark of community membership rather than a condition I have been saddled with.
Disability doesn’t impact a person’s worth
If you are uncomfortable acknowledging that someone is blind, Deaf, paralyzed, Autistic, or has Down Syndrome, it’s probably because you think disability makes a person less worthy. There’s no reason to tiptoe around the reality of someone being disabled unless you consider those things to be shameful.
This is perhaps the biggest problem with the use of softening and obscuring terms like “special,” “handi-capable,” “differently abled,” or “special needs.” They belie a person’s discomfort with acknowledging the reality of disability. Unfortunately, their very use worsens the stigma against people with disabilities, because it furthers the idea that such conditions are unspeakable, or too shameful to name.
Disabled activists have been pushing back against the use of terms like “differently abled” and “handi-capable” since at least the ’80s. Empirical research shows that people are actually more prejudiced toward people who are described as “special needs” than people described as “disabled.” These replacement terms activate more negative stereotypes in people’s minds than more direct, precise language does.
These terms often entered the lexicon via the abled parents of disabled kids, who found softening, cutesy terms more palatable than labeling their children as disabled. To this very day, organizations led by abled people tend to dance around disability, using phrases like “challenged” and “person with visual impairments”, whereas organizations driven by disabled people embrace and take pride in terms like disabled, blind, a wheelchair user, and Deaf.
If you truly believe that a person has value regardless of what they are physically or mentally capable of, it should not pain you to call them disabled. If you believe a paralyzed person has as much social value as a non-paralyzed person, the word shouldn’t make you flinch. If you think intellectually disabled people are equally deserving of love and support as other people, you won’t dance around the phrase as if it’s a swear word.
Tumblr media
When disability is hidden away or obscured, so are disabled people’s attempts at attaining justice. If you want to be an ally to your disabled siblings, all you have to do is let go of your desire to clench up, and wince, and pretend that all people are equally “different” and all abilities are equally privileged in our society. Disability exists. It is a beautiful source of diversity. It is not a thing to hide away.

Hi, be careful what information you post on the conflict as it’s not as one sided as you’re making it out to be. Israel is being attacked as well. I’m not saying everything Israel is doing is correct, by no means is that true. But innocent people are getting hurt on both sides and that’s not okay. A lot of the posts I’ve seen have just been thinly valid antisemitism, so be careful the ones you reblog as well. You can be anti Israel without being vitriolic to the innocent people who live there. Palestine is not as innocent as everyone claims they are, but they don’t deserve to be kicked out of there homes either. Israel is complicated but innocents don’t deserve to be killed either. A lot of people post about Palestine blindly, I just encourage you to look into both sides a bit more and not make it out to be a situation with one right answer. If it was then this problem would have been solved a long time ago.
~ A Very Stressed American Jew
blah blah blah both sides blah blah blah Palestine isn’t innocent blah blah.
For the stuff about anti-semitism: yeah I agree. People can be posting things that are anti Semitic while pretending to be anti-Israel. I’ve reblogged stuff abt that fact, too. And I always try to make sure what I’m reblogging is talking abt Israel’s cruelty and doesn’t mention anything anti-Semitic. If you see something that I’ve reblogged and you feel it’s anti-Semitic, then let me know.
Second of all: the only 2 sides there are is the oppressor and the oppressed. Palestinians are the fucking oppressed, and I say this as a Palestinian (and an American!) If you want to see how “complicated” this problem is then go onto Twitter and watch the videos Palestinians are sharing and THEN tell me we aren’t innocent. Like bro, throwing rocks or rockets in SELF DEFENSE is 1000000% justified and something I will always defend. Don’t go to Israeli media (which, anyway, doesn’t mind showing you the gang beat-ups of Palestinians lol)
Also, while you are saying there are Israeli citizens that are innocent (which yes, 100% true) you seem to ignore the Israeli citizens out in the streets calling for lynching of Palestinians, entering homes to kill fathers in front of their children, raping the women, forcing themselves into Palestinian homes, and calling for the death of all Arabs, all with the help of the IDF and police. Don’t fucking tell me the citizens are all innocent, many of them are part of this and have been for generations. They are just as complicit as their government in this. I don’t care if they were brainwashed into all the hate they feel, they still are out there adding more fire to the problems. (And NO, I am not referring to IDF soldiers who are forced into duty in this).
The US has brainwashed you into thinking that Palestinians are horrible, that there are two equal sides, that it is a very complicated mind-boggling situation that can’t be solved! That’s all false. I implore you to look at Palestinan sources, both videos, pictures and websites like decolonizepalestine dot com. You already have some awareness of the reality from your ask, but you telling me there’s “both sides” is telling me you have some more work to do. This has been a 73 year old war. Simple. Israel, when attacked, has the Iron Dome, their citizens have bomb shelters, they have a million other protections Palestinians don’t. Palestinians, when attacked, have none of that. They suffer. They die. They get raped. We always pay the larger cost in whatever rocket fire is expelled. Netanyahu said he will bomb Gaza until there is silence. Yeah, that totally sounds like a complicated situation!
No. That simply won’t do. And if you do want to do your readings, do not read Zionist powered publications like the New York Times and the New York post and the like. I repeat that I agree that there is a lot of anti-Semitism in anti-Israel posts, but none of my posts have reflected that, and if they have let me know and I will take them down. This isn’t a religious matter and I understand that, there are Palestinian Jewish ppl as well! They are also suffering under this racist colonial rule
But Palestinians are innocent. We are. We one MILLION percent are. Just because we are fighting back after generations of colonialism, abuse, murder and rape doesn’t make us any less innocent. It makes us fucking fighters for our rights, because a lot of people don’t give a fuck about us and haven’t for 7 decades. Don’t forget that Israel is the instigator of the violence, all the way from 1948. Israel is being attacked because we’re fed up, and it’s not like we’re making much damage anyway, so don’t try to make it out to be that there are both sides that are equal here. Because that isn’t true.
