You looked at Charles, almost wanting to giggle at how sweet he looked, mere moments before this he’d come over asking you if you’d help him with with Spanish. You’d moved to Monaco from Colombia almost 6 years ago, your father expanding his business to the rich and wealthy of Monte Carlo. Of course being a motor sports fan you attended the grand prix in the city a few times, which is where you met Charles almost 2 years ago now.

“You want me to teach you spanish mi alma?”

Charles simply nodded

“What, Carlos can’t teach you?”

“I mean he does, but I’d rather learn from you…”

You couldn’t lie hearing him admit that made your cheeks flush, after thinking about it you nodded, patting the spot on the sofa beside you

“Well you know some at this point, I’m not sure what you want me to teach you”

Charles thought about what exactly he wanted to learn before smiling

“Maybe something about racing, about the cars and you know..”

Now that made you laugh but you obliged

Charles smiled before repeating that back to you once again, his eyes watching yours carefully and meticulously so he wouldn’t miss any tricky words. In reality part of the reason he asked you to help him touch up on his Spanish was because he loved listening to you in your native tongue. He found the language intoxication when you spoke, yet he still struggled if you and Carlos got into heavy conversation: conversation he wished he could be apart of.

Smiling you leaned forward to gently hold Charles’s face, pressing your lips to his

“Te amo mucho mi amor, para siempre” (i love you so much my love, forever)

Pressing a kiss to your lips again Charles couldn’t help but smile, you were truly his everything, even if he couldn’t keep up with your language all the time, he made damn sure to make the best effort and get lessons from you.

“You know I might start charging you for Spanish lessons baby…you never know”

Charles laughed, his eyes squinting like they usually did when he smiled or laughed, one of your favourite things about him.

“What my love for you is not payment enough?”

You paused pretending to think about it as Charles placed a hand on his heart

If there was one thing you loved about Char it was how dramatic that boy could be, but it didn’t stop you from placing kisses across his face, getting him to smile once again, even if it was his plan all along

Kurt is a mutant who was born to mystique who looks a LOT like a devil (technically is half one but that cannon truth isn't real go back to bed), his mother dropped him off a cliff when he was born and he was picked up by a Romani group/circus (fuck old comics man) however he then narrowly escaped being sold to a freak show and found himself in a small German town. There he met a kind priest, who showed him God, and he quickly grew attached to the idea- However, it wasn't long before people began labeling him a demon and soon the whole town was against him with pitchforks and fire. Cornered and injured, Kurt thought this might be the end for him- maybe he would see heaven so long after finding it- but he was then saved by Charles Xavier who invited him to the X-Men. AND ITS BEEN SO MANY YEARS AND HE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH THERE. SO MUCH. SO GOD DAMN MUCH. BUT THE MOST AAAA THING TO ME CONCERNING HIS FAITH HE WHEN HE LITERALLY DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN BUT THEN BECAUSE OF DRAMA WITH HIS FATHER HAD TO BRING HIS FRIENDS IN WITH HIM FROM THE BEYOND. Nightcrawler is a mutant vigilante who looks like a classical demon. He can't even go to church without people panicking and trying to exorcize him. Despite it all, he's so full of faith and hope and compassion, and he wants to believe the best of everyone. Also, he's bffs with an extremely angry Jewish sword lesbian. That has nothing to do with anything, but it's important to me that you all know that.

What if you were a devout christian and literally looked like the devil? He nearly became the pope, which was a plot by some supervillains that also involved faking a rapture? There is nothing like comics I swear to god.

A catholic who is half demon I don’t think I can better explain a struggle than that. But his character is so relatable to people who feel unwelcome with their congregation because of something that is a part of them but still feeling a connection to the faith. Kurt actively engaged in his faith and shares how his faith helps him through all the things he has faced in life and how he found a home with those of the church who leave the judging to God.

so they made kurt a priest briefly before deciding to retcon it, resulting in nightcrawler actually being part of a plan by villains to promote him to pope then reveal to the world that the pope is a demon. wild.

2018's NEW X-MEN: thought and opinions

Eu sempre gostei de X-Men, desde o desenho dos anos 200, mas só agora eu decidi realmente ler. Com a sua renascença, graças a X men 97, certos personagens despertaram minha curiosidade, dentre elas Jean Grays e Ema Frost, e que história melhor história das duas pra ler que a saga do Grant Morrison de 2018.

AVISO: A Partir daqui haverá spoilers!

Nessa saga acompanhamos a escola Xavier pós massacre de Genosha, onde todos se encontram de luto e a escola sofre um certo rebranding. A grande vilã desse arco e Cassandra Nova Xavier, a irmã gêmea de Charles e a responsável pelo massacre de Genosha.

Nessa run temos comos a formação principal Scott Sumer(Cyclops); Jean Gray(ex Marvel Girl); Hank McCoy (Beats); Ema Frost(ex White Queen) e Logan(Wolverine).

Eu li poucos capítulos dessa run, mas eu gostaria de compartilhar alguns dos meus pensamentos e opiniões sobre.

Eu nunca tive muita afinidade com Scott e até presente momento(Issue 118) ele não fez muitas coisas importantes, gosto dele na fase de utopia, principal no Phoenix Five, o Morally Gray Scott tem um apelo diferente pra mim do que o bom escoteiro que ele era.

Jean sempre foi uma das minhas favoritas em todas as adaptações dela que eu já vi, e aqui ela está sendo gigante, no campo de batalha não tive demonstrações dela ainda, mas cada cena, fala e feitos dos menores que sejam já me fizeram a amar(principalmente ele tentando com a Frost).

Ema Frost sempre foi uma grande diva e eu amo cada centímetro do seu corpo e alma. A Ema é a única personagem que não me irrita toda a sexualização que sofre, por mais que eu saiba que os escritórios e desenhistas fizeram isso de propósito, o lado sexual de Ema é grande parte de seu personagen e é quase um poder terciário dela. Ter Ema e Jean num time vai ser enorme, duas telepatas poderosíssima rivais e trabalhando juntas deve ser uma das minhas tropes favoritas.

Hank McCoy é um querido e definitivamente ganhou espaço no meu coração nessa série, a batalha dele contra Cassandra no corpo de Xavier foi ENORME!!! E ele levando um fora por ser um mutante quebrou meu coração.

Logan.... O que dizer sobre o Wolverine himself??? Logan veio pra ser o motoqueiro cool que usa couro e fuma e pega a gostosa (Jean), honestamente, não é pro meu bico

Apesar de tudo, new x men está sendo incrível e eu estou muito ansiosa pra trazer mais atualizações quando vou lendo.

You weren’t exactly sure how you got here, but you were here.

Okay, scratch that, you knew EXACTLY how and why you were here.

It was the summer right after your first year of college, and you had desperately thought about taking a semester off from school while you tried to “find” yourself.  You just failed to realize that taking a semester off, you’d be back in right back where you hated:  your hometown of Hawkins, Indiana.  Hawkins was literally the smallest town in the country, and you wanted nothing more than to leave in the first place.  But actually being out in the real world, away from your cozy town, had you running back.  

Early last month, when you had returned home, you weren’t quite sure of how you were going to break it to your parents, Sue and Charles Sinclair, that you had thought about not returning for your sophomore year.  But a week after sitting on it, you decided it was best to just bite the bullet and be straight with them.  

That was clearly a bad move.  

Your parents were livid.  Especially your father.  You had worked so hard to graduate a year ahead of the rest of your class, and your dad had to donate about two years worth of salary to his former Alma Mater for you to spend the next best four years of your life.  Well, according to him anyway.

But you weren’t happy. Not by a long shot.  As much as you hated your boring ass middle class suburban hometown, where nothing ever fucking happens, somehow, you missed it too much.

So, your folks being pissed at you, meant a lot of ass kissing.  Especially over the last few weeks.  You were mostly stuck being in charge of your younger siblings while your parents spent their time providing a roof over your heads this summer.  While you barely had to keep an eye on your little brother, Lucas, as he was always off with his nerdy buddies, and his little red-headed girlfriend.  It was your little sister, Erica, on the other hand, that you had to practically be tied to.

Erica, just like any day ending in -y, was being the biggest pain in your ass.  Everyday she and her small group of tyrant 10 year old friends always ended up at the Starcourt Mall, harassing the employees for free ice cream samples.  And you were always the one that had to go and pick up her to drag her back home.

Now that wouldn’t have been much of a problem, but you were trying to avoid the mall —Scoops Ahoy in particular.  You knew it was inevitable that you’d see him again.  But seeing him multiple times a week, in that stupid looking sailor uniform, with his stupid perfect hair, and his stupid, perfect face was beginning to wear you down on you.  And as you made your way into the mall, yet again for your little sister, you swore this time was definitely going to be the last.

But, of course, life had other plans.

She reveals herself in private to Morgan when she attempts to seduce her, but Morgan does not care and still wishes to have her as her King; angst, smut, slight fluff - Alma Peregrine; Modern!AU, reader is playing "Strawberry Lipstick" at full blast while screaming the lyrics and dancing in her room. Alma and the kids are on their walk, but r doesn't hear them come back. Alma comes up to tell r to turn it down, but is speechless seeing her so happy and energetic, dancing and bouncing around. When she does get her to turn it down, the older kids come up and start dancing too as r replays the song. Eventually "Jailhouse Rock" (maybe) comes on so the younger kids dance too and Alma is a proud momma bird; fluff
