i love your posts i do but the bolding and italics multiple times throughout your post without highlighting anything important just their names is kind of stupid 😔

I don't highlight their names, because they're important or for extra emphasis. I just need to have something visually different in every paragraph, so that the text is not swimming in front of my eyes when I'm rereading it to look for mistakes.

If it's just +5 lines of plain letters I forgot where I was a second ago and need to go back over and over again. It's like a "checkpoint" for proofreading. (If you've checked, these bold words are usually spread out pretty evenly across each post.)

It's just a visual aid for my issues with focusing. Or for anyone else who might need that.

Also, I like when people highlight the key words in posts (or even add a title), because it tells me right away what it's about. And I know if it's something that might interest me without reading 2 paragraphs before I find out it's for a fandom I'm not even in.

Trust me, if it was stupid and served no purpose I wouldn't be wasting my time on it for over 4 years.

Hello, I don't have much to show today, I just realized that I've never really drawn these 2... I wanted to try it with the silly "Vampire/Werewolf" dynamic

There are details that are more than anything from a quick AU that I made for this, Im very happy with how it turned out despite being so simple JAJS (Also, I needed to draw Sam as a vampire, idk, it was almost an impulse)

It's so insane bc I watched Endgame in theaters right when it came out, I have had yearssss to get over Steve leaving Bucky. Getting into the fandom and getting more into sambucky has been like. A good way to find people who feel the same way about Endgame and also engage with happier stucky or sambucky narratives so I've kinda gotten past it but like. This bullshit "if stucky was het it would be canon" thing that Marvel is doing is soooo frustrating because it really has become so obvious in retrospect that the people who wrote and produced Endgame were so horrified, so petrified that people might think Steve could be queer that they needed to shoehorn in the most out of character ending for a beloved character and absolutely ruin the arc that was started in CATFA and continued in every one of his appearances since.

And ALSO like??? The message it sends about trauma survivors?? Genuinely, the message of Steve leaving Bucky for Peggy was "even if you think you can be loved and redeemed despite your trauma, the people who love you more than anything in the world might (will?) leave you for someone easier" like??? How devastating. It is so abundantly clear that Marvel doesn't know how to deal with characters like Natasha or Bucky who have done bad things in the past. Their answer for Natasha was "have her kill herself to make up for the shit she did in her past" and I'm 90% sure that's gonna be the MCU ending to Bucky's character arc as well.

Things to be mindful of when creating:

For Sam

Avoid framing Sam only as a caretaker or emotional support for Bucky. Be mindful of Sam acting angry or aggressive in an out-of-character way and falling into the angry/sassy Black man trope (check out the MCU source material to help with character traits).

Avoid decentering Sam as a main character and refrain from focusing entirely on Bucky.

In art: avoid whitewashing Sam’s skin and research drawing Black characters.

General disclaimer: Race affects every aspect of his life, including interacting with police/government and the white structures of the world when it comes to performing his duties as Cap and simply being a Black man that lives in the U.S.

For Bucky

Avoid phrasing “flesh/normal/human hand” to refer to the contrast between his prosthetic arm and his right arm. The phrasing is ableist. You can simply refer to his prosthesis when relevant, otherwise use “right/left arm/hand”.
