people often talk about hating ships the fandom likes or vice versa. but we need to talk about liking two ships that the shippers for each want the other dead.

a good example would be izuocha and bakudeku shippers, though personally i only like bakudeku.

for me it’s that i ship satosugu and gojohime. if i told a satosugu enjoyer i liked gojohime i would make them scream cry but if i told a gojohime shipper i liked satosugu i would be given a monologue on how “boys cant be friends without being shipped together” that was just blatant homophobia.

People bring up stuff about gay marriage in Japan not being legal yet when it comes to bsd ships, but like. Honestly 70% of them already break COUNTLESS laws so in what world would that law stop them from doing it illegally and having their own private ceremonies

but after a while it gets old?? no hate to skk, it’s a good ship, i just think we should also be talking about dazai having chemistry with LITERALLY ALL THE MEN ON THE SHOW yk

there are so many other characters you can say are his soulmates?? let me list them.

fyodor. he is the only other character in the show who understands dazai completely, they quite literally finish each other’s sentences half the time.

sigma. they would be the softest couple ever. he would teach dazai to give more of a shit about himself and dazai would actually be able to give sigma a home in the ada

kunikida. sure, dazai pisses him off, but it’s a very playful type of thing. kunikida would teach dazai to be less analytic, to listen to his emotions more, and dazai would (not in the best way but still) teach kunikida to work through his anger issues

if i wasn’t currently in public transportation i would be able to list more but point is

chuuya and dazai are the most popular ship mainly because they have a backstory together. if you discard that, or headcanon a past for him with, EVERYONE could be his soulmate

how do you stop/prevent a ship war. like 95% of my blog is dedicated to skk but i jumped on board with sigzai the MOMENT dazai chose sigma. i love them both. i just wanna open the comments of sigzai instagram posts and see stuff like "yippeee!!! sigzai!!!!", not a whole bloody battle
