Random BSD Thoughts: “The Untold Origins” and The Decay of Angels

WARNING: Spoilers for “The Untold Origins of the Detective Agency” LN (Brief spoiler for Chapter 91 near the end.)

So I’m still plodding my way through the light novels and making notes on the various things that catch my interest. For those who have read the third novel, saying that I’m going to discuss the Decay of Angels in relation to it might seem odd, but there’s a method to my madness (in my own head, at least).

Right now, we’ve been introduced to the five members of the Decay of Angels in the manga, which seems to have rounded out the group. And the light novel, as the title suggests, refers to events that happen a long time before the events of the manga. But I think that the novel could be hinting toward the existence of the Decay of Angels even back then, with Ranpo and Fukuzawa briefly catching its tail.

(My thoughts/reasonings are pretty tenuous, so there’s a very good chance that I’m wrong/will be proved wrong since I’m no Ranpo who can solve a mystery by looking at it, but this is just where my brain went and I felt like sharing. xD) 

“V” and the Decay of Angels?

(I’ve learned how to use headers instead of having enormous walls of text, go me!)

The lines that caught my attention and sent me spiraling down this rabbit hole are these, which appear near the end of the light novel:

Behind it all was a domestic underground syndicate known as “V,” whose goal was to rid the country of skill users.

And the battle against them was only beginning.

Of course, it doesn’t name the Decay of Angels explicitly, but there are a few things just in the first line that caught my attention:

They are a domestic syndicate. Of course, the Decay of Angels (currently) has skill-users from several different countries, but their leader is very much Japanese. And maybe back then, they were primarily Japanese, with Fukuchi recruiting the others in the years since (more on this later).

“V”: the Roman numeral for 5, which could refer to the five “signs” of the impending death of an angel (one of which is the “lack of delight in their heavenly seat” or something along those lines that the ADA fulfilled--I think I’m mixing up the Mouryou no Hako description with the BSD description, but you get the point). It could also refer to the number of members, but I find that unlikely given that “V” does seem to have more than five people at this point in time.

Their goal, to rid the country of all skill users: isn’t that literally what Fyodor wants to do? Though on a slightly larger scale, as he apparently wants to rid the world of them altogether. But again, if he were recruited later, that would have provided him a strong incentive to lend his support to the DoA.

We also learn that this organization is willing to use any methods in order to achieve their goals, which is rather reminiscent of the methods of the DoA, especially Fukuchi orchestrating an enormous terrorist plot in order to gain control of an international, non-affiliated army and destroy all of the countries.

Plus, the member of the organization who is caught by Fukuzawa and Ranpo is a police officer, Jun Mitamura. Was he an early member of the DoA or the Hunting Dogs under Fukuchi? Yes, he doesn’t seem to be a skill user, as is the case with both organizations now, but it’s also established that back then, the knowledge of skill users wasn’t well-known, and the government seemed to be trying to collect them. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable that some of the earlier iterations of the groups might have had non-skill user members, and it would make most sense to recruit them from law enforcement and/or the army.

To prevent him from talking after he was captured, Mitamura was stabbed by a blade that disappeared (as was Kurahashi); I don’t know when Fukuchi obtained Amenogozen, but it certainly seems like something he could have done if he did have it then. Especially since he was also affiliated with the military (and maybe was starting to get a reputation?) and could probably walk around a police station/jail without raising suspicion.

Angels in the Light Novel (an aside, mostly)

Another interesting tidbit is that “angels” feature prominently in the story, most particularly in the play that is performed early on that has a minor mystery for Ranpo to solve, including the death threat that is received:

An angel shall bring death, in the truest sense of the word, to the performer. - V.

Although this is part of the plan to fake Murakami’s death, it seems clear that “V” and Murakami and/or Kurahashi were in contact in order for this note to be written. After all, it would be a wild coincidence for them to have randomly chosen “V” to be the anonymous sender of the letter and then for this organization “V” to show up later in the novel.

Of course, the “angels” in the play don’t actually have great bearing on the story (as far as I can tell), and the depictions of skill-users in the play are considered inaccurate/dramatized in general (again, since they’re not well-known about at this point), but it is noted that it’s very unusual to include them since they’re generally considered some sort of urban legend. But if “V” had a hand in writing the play through Kurahashi, they could have provided information about skill-users (possibly to pique Natsumi’s interest and get him to show up?) as well as influenced the theme of the angels.

Overall Timeline of Events

So with this information, I’ve organized a rough (theoretical) timeline of events for the development of the Decay of Angels. Starting from three facts:

14 years ago (prior to the present shown in the manga), Fukuchi joins the army and comes to hate war.

12 years ago, the ADA is founded.

8 years ago, Fukuchi defeats Bram Stoker and forces him to join the DoA.

Presumably, around those 14 years ago, that’s when Fukuzawa left the army/being a government assassin and found employment as a bodyguard instead. But Fukuchi did join the army and was caught up by the horrors of war, which led him to start forming plans to destroy all of the countries and establish world domination. So by the time Ranpo meets Fukuzawa two years later, possibly Fukuchi has formed a proto-Hunting Dogs/DoA organization that is called “V” with his charisma and growing fame.

Then, in the following years, he goes on being the world’s hero, fighting against highly skilled and dangerous skill-users. With his reputation and image of reliability, trust in him grows and he’s able to freely go almost anywhere, which would give him opportunities to meet and recruit people like Fyodor and Gogol. Gogol seems to be close friends with Fyodor, so they probably came as a package, while Fyodor may have agreed to the cooperative relationship so that he could get the Book and erase skill-users, while Fukuchi would be able to benefit from Fyodor’s malicious and thorough ability to devise complex plots to achieve their goals. Also:

MANGA CHAPTER 91 SPOILER: “One Order” is apparently an ability that “frees soldiers [people] from the yoke of sin”/takes away their guilt (over committing murder). Sound familiar??? This might just be a coincidence, though. But if Fyodor is also interested in this, it could further explain why he joined up with the DoA.

But not all of the collaborators are working with Fukuchi willingly, as is seen by Bram Stoker. But when he defeated Stoker, Fukuchi clearly thought that he would be useful (either his own idea, or possibly Fyodor’s if they’re working together by that point) and kept him secretly for 8 years. So this is a plan that’s been in the works for a very long time and only coming to a head now, since the ADA has grown enough to be able to realistically pin the terrorism accusation on them.

Miscellaneous Thoughts

How does Fukuzawa get his ability of “All Men Are Created Equal”? If he does have this ability, at the very least, he doesn’t recognize it at this point of his life. Possibly it’s again due to the dearth of knowledge/interactions with skill-users (especially any that would be under his leadership since he’s very much a lone wolf), but is it actually possible to develop a skill later in life as is mentioned in the play, and which Fukuzawa uses to convince Ranpo that he’s a skill-user? (I’m inclined to think not, and that it just becomes applicable after he establishes the ADA and skill-users join, but still curious.)

Little Oda! When the assassin with two pistols showed up, I hoped he was Oda, and he was! Which means that Ranpo and Oda met (ish) before Oda decided to stop killing, and again when Oda decided to start killing again. And Little Oda still likes curry. D:

How do I come up with fic titles?

Oh boy. So this is a whole PROCESS. And I do this with chapter titles too, for the record. But basically I start with a working title: this is either a song lyric/title or it's a brief synopsis of the plot. Usually the former, because I operate ✨ by vibes. ✨ Then I write the damn thing until I either get a better idea or it's finished, and then I reevaluate. Usually if I get a better idea it's because I either a) had a song stuck in my head and a lyric or theme in it SPOKE to me, or b) I will suddenly and randomly have a word appear in my head that I can't shake. Chapter 16 for LTL is like this: the title is ICONOCLAST (which is exactly how that word appeared in my brain), and the bitch of it all is that I didn't remember what the word meant when it crashed into my head like a fucking gong. I had to look it up, and then I was like. "Oh yeah that works... Oh. OH." So that was neat. Ouroboros was similar; I was using the working title of "the breath between things no one says" for almost the entire writing process and then once the themes took shape I was like "oh hey it's about continuing cycles and birth-death-rebirth, kind of like an -- OH." It was late enough in the game that I didn't even bother changing the title of the soundtrack playlist haha.

In terms of the lyrics though, it goes "what am I listening to that fits the vibe" and then "what's a lyric that fits" and then rinse repeat until I find something lol. Hope that answered the question though!

What is my absolute favorite trope to write?

Hmmmmmmm this is tough, but I think I most enjoy writing missing moments. I don't know if that even counts as a trope lol. But my favorite thing is filling in the spaces with whatever the fuck and making sure it still fits. XD

What is my biggest distraction while writing?

My brother in Christ I have ADHD.

No but seriously it depends based on the day and how my head is. Some days it's my dogs refusing to let me do anything and clinging to me like very loud barnacles. Some days it's falling down a Wikipedia or Spotify hole. Some days it's my partner (who, by the way, is usually Minding His Own business) talking and laughing with his friends, or (God forbid) moving around the house and thereby drawing the ire of my little guard barnacles. Some days my brain is the one being too loud, or I can't bear sitting down and/or looking at a screen for another second because otherwise I WILL just spontaneously combust.

But honestly usually it's just The Internet. I fall into research holes too easily or go running off after something shiny. It's a little annoying and I'm trying to get better about monitoring my habits. :(

Ok I made a au based on Paul's video's (Shed 17 & Project G-1) were everyone was cured from being biofused and are now humans with the scars from there engine form,This contains spoilers for Paulvids videos and this has extra things that doesn't appear in the videos 👌

Thomas

has stitches all over his body from him being the first to be cured and the fact that he was turned human...ish in project G-1,His one eye is red from him loseing control and attacking Keith and he has basically two personailtys now,His normal personailtys he had when he was a actual human and his savage anger side he showed near the end of that video,Also Thomas has a huge scar on his back from his biofused form in Shed 17 and his scream when in his savage side will be high and load like in shed 17•

Edward & James (there together cause there engines forms were burned together)

They both have burn marks all over there body's from how they were destroyed in here biofused form,James has more scars on his face(Cause his face did melt some in the video) while Edward has some scars on his throat from his whistle broke in shed 17(that people thought he died from),James personality changed some from his normal personality to a more serious,grumpy medium headed one cause he is extremely upset of the fact that him and Edward were basically lied to and we're used for testing•

Henry

He has scars on his back and sides from his crash in shed 17 and has scar marks all over his neck and his lower face from when he was scrapped in shed 17,He is very agressive when someone mentions Sir Topham Hat and can accidentally hurt others around him,Henry personality changed a lot cause he is no longer a shy, soft kind guy but now he is a rough,mean, agressive and a emotionally wreck•

Gordon

Gordon took a long time to be cured due to his body being used to make Project G-1,He has scars around his stomach from his biofused form being crushed from the inside,blurry vision from his eyes getting destroyed and a massive scar on his side from getting hurt by the boulder in his Project G-1 form,He acts similar to normal Gordan but has emotionally break downs and has trouble seeing from his blurry vision•

Marvis

She has burn marks around her mouth from her engine burning in shed 17 and sometimes need eye drops for her eyes,She didn't change much and didn't know what happened to the others cause her biofused body burned up first•

Percy

Percy has scars around his neck and needs to wear a cast around it so his neck doesn't fall to the side,His vision is slightly blurry from his eyes rolling back and when his neck is turned his speech gets muffled.

Percy still is a sweetheart and is very young compare to the other biofused engines (that are now humans again) and hasn't changed much•

Spencer

Like Marvis he has burn marks around his mouth and face from his body being set on fire in project G-1,He didn't change much and still has a small rivalry with Gordon and Scottman man but not as much as in the show•

Duck(Chris is his name in the videos) and Oliver

Duck and Oliver still have mechanical parts to them like wires and robotic arms and scars on there body from fighting in Project G-1,Oliver is nearly blind and needs glasses or contacts desperately due to his vision almost being gone

Duck(Or Chris) feels horrible for hurting his best friend and cry's over it when alone,Oliver forgives Duck,tries to comfort him when he cry's and tells him over and over again that he forgives him and isn't mad•

Harold

He has scars on his back from his wings and is so scared of falling again he started getting a phobia of heights,He did get some burn marks on his body from exploding in shed 17, Honestly he didn't change much•

Donald & Douglas

Nobody knows what happened to Donald..Not even Douglas and Donald covers himself in bandages to cover his scars so we really don't know what happened to him,Meanwhile Douglas skin is very soft and his mouth can extend longer than usual,Douglas's lips also can get stuck together but he can open his mouth full easily,Donald is often quiet and doesn't like showing his scars to anyone cause he doesn't want them to worry and ask him what happened.

Douglas has to eat softer food due to his mouth(He can eat hard food but it takes time) and Donald can only eat in private cause he has to take off the his bandage in order to eat•

Annie and Clarabel

They share the same burn marks from there biofused forms and the fact that one of them is a clone of the other(They lost there connection when they were cured),They act the same as before but they do have flinch when one of them gets hurt thinking that they are still connected.

Diesel(Kevin)

He has some scars around his chest and neck from his sacrifice in Project G-1 and gets some panic attack when stressed,He is very salty when it comes to Sir Topham Hat and is very agressive but he got his wife to calm him down (He is married to Annie in Project G-1 if you didn't know),He is get protective over every cured or being cured biofused and is willing to hurt himself protecting everyone•

Smuger

Smuger can stand upright without losing balance cause of him never moving from one space for years and has a massive scar on his stomach from Project G-1,Smuger is quiet and Is to nervous to ask for help and feels like he is responsible for everybody's pain when he isn't,He also has serious panic attack's randomly when reminded of what happened to him and became very claustrophobic from being trapped in one area for so long•

Cranky

He was one of the most hardest one to obtain the most dna to cure him,He has burn scars allover him from his fall in Project G-1 also having scars around his arm representing his crain breaking also in Project G-1,He has some panic attack's and feels guilty for Smugers Injury's and wants to say sorry but is afraid of bringing Smuger a panic attack(He is the only biofused who knows about Smuger and how he got his scars and panic attacks)•

G-1

G-1 was used to cure everyone and was given a life of it's own afterwards,They act like a bit cat or a big dog(They also have some human intelligence) and are very gentile when you are gentile to them,When experimenting on them they used dolphin training tricks to test there human like behavior side and when they used two pieces of paper with a picture of a gender it picked female so they use She/Her/They pronouns and are able to reproduce offspring without a mate(since they are like a animal and not a human..Idk what I'm doing with this thing XD)•

Diesel 10

Diesel 10 is still in his biofused form and is going around sodor keeping anyone that is trying to take or kill the others out and is willing to attack them if they are not careful,His eyes turn black with red pupils when angered and is very agressive when it comes to protecting anyone but he does have a soft side and is willing to show it when he wants to•

Sir toppem hat

One of the main antagonist of this au and plays a important part of this au I can't spoil just yet cause I might make a comic of this au

Keth

He is the only normal human being that was cured after being killed by Thomas and is now a half Human half cured,He has scars around his lower half and has to have a crutch now,Even after that he still cares for Thomas and the other engines and enjoys visiting them and helping them with there problems,He really hates sir toppem hat but feels like he needs to hold back on his anger cause he doesn't want to end up as some like him,He is also a father figure to Raven,Cassy and Evan(Mostly Raven) and is willing to keep them safe from harm and danger•

She is the main person in this au and the one who gave the idea to cure the engines than to kill them off,She was a young girl who loved seeing the engines but was trapped on Sodor when she was left behind by her neglectful caretaker (she was a orphan who never meet her parents and was raised in a orphanage) and was found by Keth and was taken cared for,Years later when she turned 16 she helped with the cure and was reunited with Keth.

Cassy

She was one of the Biofused engines that didn't get destroyed and doesn't have any physical scars on her,She helped with the cure and was willing to have them use some of her body for the cure,She reunited with her twin brother and loves takeing care of the other engines when in need•

Evan

Evan was used and experimented on with how the engines can't stand sugar and another if he could stand falling from a high drop,The first experiment was putting sugar in is fire box which cause him to keep throwing up randomly for a hour and the second experiment he was pushed off a high rock surface and was badly broken and exploded shortly after.

After he was cured he was given scars around his back and side and some patches of burn marks on his body and he hates sugar now cause of that one experiment,He takes care of the other engines and is good friends with James,Edward,Gordan and Percy.

Now some small facts about my au

The cured biofused have the scars of when they were engines and how they were destroyed or killed and they have memory's of when it happened and most of them either try to forget it or ignore it and keep moving on

There heights are a little taller than normal humans and they have louder screams and whistles

Sodor has been fixed and is a sanctuary for the cured engines and is home for some humans that are helping them/takeing care of them

The humans that were killed by Project G-1 or another engine were also cured and have there own medical bay separate from the cured biofused

The stuff to make biofused engine are still there but noone knows we're it is like somebody or something took it

The cured biofused are almost impossible to kill and have massive healing cells from the cure

They are much stronger than normal humans cause of here biofused body's but can control it so they don't hurt others

(Hehehe so, she was found abandoned as a toddler, when no one claimed her she went into the care of Grace Orphanage. She was never adopted and lived out her childhood there. Unbeknownst to her, her parents had got in too deep with Mob bosses, and not the monster ones, and thought it best to hide their little girl in an area of town that wasn’t heavily influenced by the various ‘Families’, a neutral zone of sorts (though lowkey maybe under the monster family protection as it housed many children in the area. Thoughts there?). Their plan was to go back and claim her once the heat died down, maybe run away to the country. Sadly, the bosses they were under caught wind of this little plan and decided to make an example of them and they never got to collect their daughter. Both were Mage descendants, but didn’t seem to have very strong magic (I’m thinking Kindness and Flexibility), but the family wanted to keep them on the chance that their child would have stronger magic and give them a leg up. Luckily while their plan to escape may have gotten revealed, where they left their daughter remained a secret. This is the rough idea I got so far. Trying to dig through old mafiatale notes, but a lot of this is off the top of my head so let me know what you think or changes need to be made world wise. XD)

That could definitely work! Some questions I have is were both parents mages? Because if so, then it guarantees their kid will be too. If the parents were older, they could be witches (humans who trained to have magic. Takes nearly 30 years). They would produce a normal baby unless there were monster ancestors on both sides. Sometimes mage babies pop up randomly that way. (Like wist)

What kind of monster is she descended from. The type of monster will influence her magic more than her soul colors. And her appearance too.

Digimon Adventure: 2020 – Episode 34: Hikari And Tailmon (Review)

Thoughts on the thirty-fourth episode of the Digimon Adventure reboot series.

Well, this episode was mostly a snoozefest . . .

Narrator: “The identity of the mysterious enemy, DarkKnightmon, turned out to be the other Holy Digimon, Tailmon.” Whaaa??? Unless this is an error, they “confirmed” something that wasn’t explicitly said last week, lol. Odd.

LOL at Tailmon “speaking” in Komondomon’s language. A cat making dog sounds. How oddly funny.

Every new character just becomes an instant exposition dump. It’s Tailmon’s turn! She informs us that FAGA is the place where Millenniumon’s largest shard fell after the Ancient War - and she wants to head there. Cool.

Hikari hugs Tailmon - and my instant reaction is to squirm and hope that Tailmon pushes her away, lol. Hikari is still so creepy, even when she’s being randomly affectionate.

You’d think Tailmon and Patamon would have more of a connection, being Holy Digimon who fought together . . . but there’s zero acknowledgement between them, lol. They both appear to have their memories, too (Patamon to a lesser extent?), so it’s a bit of an odd oversight to not show their camaraderie.

Doesn’t Hikari’s sudden affectionate nature seem too forced? Because it does to me. Like Toei knows they created an incredibly creepy child - and now they need to make her more lovable to appeal to the audience. And it’s not working for me, lol.

The underwater city is a really cool and colourful place. I liked seeing it and all its colourful digimon inhabitants.

Tailmon: “The Holy Ring. Thanks to this, I can fight even with a small body.” MarineAngemon: “And my Holy Ring is used as a power to sustain this city’s enviroment.” Takeru: “Patamon, you don’t have one?” Patamon: “Umm.” OMG PATAMON IS SO ADORABLE, I WANT TO ADOPT HIM. <3 This scene is possibly my favourite in this entire episode, LOL. That says a lot about this episode. XD;

Seeing Hikari on the bubble showing more emotion in a few seconds than she ever has in her entire appearance in the reboot so far is . . . very, very odd. And creepy. This child is too creepy! She’s so off-putting. :P

I quite liked the idea that the digimon in the city were ancestors of land digimon, who had to adapt to the water environment. Evolution in Digimon! NEAT! :P

I knew it was coming, but MarineAngemon being a huge hologram - and then an actual itty bitty digimon in reality - still made me LOL. Sora: “How cute.” You are correct, Sora! You have great taste. And this is why you’re attracted to Yamato. ;)

I don’t know why, but I really liked the quick dinner table scene where Sora sips wine orange juice. :D

Hikari with Komondomon was still just so creepy - the way she patted him and spoke to him was super creepy. I know I’m just repeating myself, but I really think Toei chose the wrong “take” on Hikari in this reboot. She feels too creepy and forced and I can’t like her. :P

Here comes Koushirou for an update on the ISS situation that absolutely no one asked for. XD; Does anyone care? I’m genuinely asking. DO YOU CARE? XD;

Tailmon: “Everyone has the heart of a warrior.” Yep. And that’s an issue. They are all pretty much the same. :P

OK, Hikari was a little bit cute cuddling Tailmon to sleep. Her cuteness here finally tipped over her creepiness just a little bit. :P (On another note, Tailmon’s size was so inconsistent this episode - she was the size of Hikari’s head when she tucked her in, lol. XD;)

Oh, Hikari is almost as acrobatic as Takeru! They must’ve trained as Olympic gymnasts together in their past lives. :P

Hikari got her Digivice! YAY! Now end this Hikari arc quickly next episode and reunite all the kids so I can like this series again.

Watching this series is a real chore. I’m trying really hard to care about it. I hope next episode is better . . .

Oooooooh boy. Well, I have quite a few. XD So, how about we just go through the ones I have actively open in Word right now?

Legacies Found: The Untamed, sequel to Legacies Lost. This is a giant canon divergent AU that I've been working on for well over a year at this point. There is one key thing that I changed (and in the interest of spoilers, I'm not going to say what, but if you're curious and don't mind spoilers then, by all means, come ask and I'll tell you all about it. ;D) and it affected everything in-universe, some for the better, some for the worse. Here's the AO3 summary:

Sixteen years ago, the Yiling Patriarch died, a victim to his own hubris and the Yin Tiger Seal. Hundreds of cultivators from many different sects died with him that day, their souls forever doomed to find no rest, even in death. On this, the 16th anniversary of the battle of Qiongqi Pass, Jin Ling is determined to make pilgrimage, to try to put the spirit of his long-lost father to rest. He finds much more than he bargained for, and what he finds… will change everything.

And in the sequel, things have progressed significantly from this point, but the people involved are still broken in various ways, not quite at the point of healing yet, but getting there. The plot is opening up to the wider world and new characters are going to be introduced, and I'm having a lot of fun writing it, but it is SO MUCH SLOWER GOING. OTZ

Mirror, Mirror: I talked about this one extensively in this post, and it hasn't really progressed any further from there. XD This is a Guardian AU based on a short film that Zhu Yilong did with Li Bingbing called "Into the Mirror" (there's a link in the other post).

Reclamation: *eg* For anyone who's been following my Whumptober series (yes, I know we're WELL past October OTZ) of fics that I've been writing for Granting You a Dreamlike Life, this is the latest in the series. This monster is already almost 18K words and it's... it's a LOT. The story is a canon-divergent AU that starts out mostly overlapping canon during episode 35 and begins to diverge somewhere between there and episode 36. I leaned REALLY hard into the whump on this one, went really self-indulgent and wrote the fic that I would most want to read for this fandom, because I was pretty damned sure that no one else would write it or would take it as far and as dark as I wanted it to go if they did. The Lost Tomb Reboot

I have... several fic at the plotty stage for TLTR, and I just added a new one to the list this morning. XD

Ershu fic: So, for anyone who's been following my TLTR journey, you know I'm obsessed with Ershu. I LOVE HIM. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. And you know what happens when I love a character, right? Right? I WANT TO BREAK THEM. *coughs* Anyway, something happens to Ershu in S2 of TLTR that I won't go into detail about because spoilers, but essentially, he's betrayed and ends up in the hands of the person who betrayed him with no one else being the wiser and with him helpless and unable to tell anyone. And there are just... all KINDS of dark, fucked up possibilities there, and just like the Whumptober series, I AM going to write that fic, even if no one but me ends up reading it. ;D

Probably post-canon domestic bliss fic: For those of you who enjoy WHIPLASH ;D, I just honestly want ALL THE SOFT DOMESTIC IRON TRIANGLE. ALL OF IT. And I want Wu Xie and Ershu to have an opportunity to sit down and actually TALK about things (e.g., their need for a family heir), instead of trying to one-up each other. Special appearances by all the ducklings, Xiao Bai's girlfriend, and Lia Jiale and Jia Kezi (...my fic, my rules, we ignore canon when we want to ^_^) having an ...oh moment, and sweet, soft cuddles for Liu Sang and Kan Jian because they're adorable and I love them, too. (I have no idea if this is all going in one fic or if it will be a series of slice of life things, but I just want everyone to get their happily ever after IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK???)

Post-canon Huo Daofu and Xiao Ge... time-sharing Wu Xie?: IDEK what to call what's going on here, but... yeah. XD (See, @elenothar, I haven't forgotten! ;D) To crib from another post... I really do think that Xiao ge loves Wu Xie and loves being with him and all that that entails, but that he gets… restless.  A little feral cat, if you will.  And he just needs to wander off and be on his own for a while sometimes.  And I would love to see a permutation where it’s just kind of understood that he and Huo Daofu just kind of… share Wu Xie.  ^_^  Not in a threesome way, but in a way that they both understand each other’s claim on Wu Xie and neither of them wants him to be alone, so they just kind of… work that out between them.  Like he's a time share. (OMG, I have to be careful of how often I use that phrase for this fic or I'm going to end up calling it that as a title. XD)

DMBJ x Highlander xover that I just came up with literally this morning: No, seriously, this LITERALLY just popped into my head as I was waking up this morning. It was a wild fucking ride, too. O_o;;; ANYWAY, I'm probably going to make a separate headcanon/plotty post for this one, but basically I just randomly woke up thinking... Duncan was an antique dealer in the late 80s/early 90s in the US. Wu Xie is an antique dealer in China, now, and his family has been involved in the antique trade for a... VERY long time. Maybe Duncan did some business with the Wu family. Maybe he met Wu Xie as a kid. Maybe he knew Xiao ge even EARLIER than that (like 100 years earlier). Maybe post-canon Highlander, Duncan starts getting back into the antique trade by helping to quietly repatriate artifacts and comes to China to deal with the Wu family to do that, and meets Wu Xie again... and Xiao ge. And has a WTF moment because Xiao ge ISN'T an Immortal like he is, but he doesn't look a day older than when they met 100 years ago and just... WTF?? And Wu Xie is looking at Duncan and looking at Xiao ge and having a WTF moment of his own because is EVERYONE immortal except him and Pangzi?? And... I just think that would be a lot of fun to play with. ;D

Guardian:

The Care and Training of a Former Megalomaniac V and VI, maybe?: OK, so this idea isn't really concrete, but I still want to play with it. I want to do something to tackle Ye Zun's past with the Rebel Leader and the trauma that that left behind, and I'm thinking he'll end up having a good (...drunk) talk with Da Qing about it.

Another idea I had (MUCH more concrete) was based off my own poor lazy bb. He LOVES to catch bugs. LOVES IT. He gets SO EXCITED and SO into it... but sometimes the bugs fly up to the ceiling. And Gabriel is comfy in my lap and doesn't want to move. So he will swat at the bug... halfheartedly. And then he will turn around and complain to me when it won't come down to be swatted at again. Like I can somehow make it come down so he can play with it? IDEK. XD ANYWAY. I had a vivid mental image of Da Qing doing this to Ye Zun and somehow convincing him to actually... bring the bug down. Using his powers. And someone at the SID detects Ye Zun using his powers so ZYL and SW race home... to find Ye Zun... using his powers... to tether bugs for Da Qing to play with. And I just think that would be hilarious. XD

...I think that's everything in the mental kiddy right now? XD

8. Who tends to worry the most?

I was going to answer this with 'both equally', but the more I think, the more I realize that Solas is the one who worries the most. XD

I mean, come on. We all know Solas is a natural worry wart. It's in the man's blood, and Fane has a tendency to make his dear wolf's blood pressure rise to fatal heights with the shit he does. PFFT!

Fane is a literal battering ram when it comes to battles (this is based on how I've specced him in-game), and he just charges in without caring if he'll get sliced, diced, or scorched. Fane's illness with magic makes it incredibly difficult for Solas to erect barriers on him, so he has to devise other ways to keep Fane in one piece (nitpicking about his armor, constantly asking, 'Are you certain you are ready?', and begging, 'Please control yourself this time, ma'isenatha.') All of that worry comes from the fact that Solas has seen Fane die, has had to guide him to it, even. Fane doesn't mean to brush off that concern and worry, but when he's embroiled in battle he...loses his senses a bit. Dragons aren't meant to fight, and fighting is what Fane does best in his new life, so he has a hard time balancing bloodlust with merciful restraint.

If Fane gets injured (which he does, but only grazes and the occasional gash), Solas won't let anyone else attend to him, fear gripping his mind, memories of blood soaked crystal and decaying scales cracking his mask and rendering him tortured. When Fane sees that, instead of just seeing the nagging, he'll go docile, go remorseful and will say, 'I'm sorry, my sky. I never meant to-- I only--hn.' Once they talk and wind down though, things get right back on track, but Solas is constantly worrying over his dragon--constantly.

Solas worries about everything with Fane--his scars, his nightmares, his battle with his identity--but battle is where he's the least reserved in it. He doesn't want Fane to have to fight, but he knows they both don't have a choice in the matter.

9. Who is more inclined to be jealous or possessive?

Dragons--naturally possessive, i.e. hoards.

Wolves--naturally protective of those within their pack, i.e. touch member of pack, you get snapped at or even bitten.

Fane and Solas are both highly protective of one another. They just go about it in different ways. Fane's more likely to snap and glower at an infringing form, making it known where they can take their 'affections'. Solas is more reserved, but most can attest that his gaze leaves them shivering and near stone with how cold it is if Fane is randomly touched by an unwanted suitor or harassed by a fawning noble. Obviously, Fane and Solas try to keep the respective beasts at bay, worried the other will think less of them for such childish behavior, but sometimes--sometimes--it's extremely hard to keep a polite mask in place due to memories of harshness and filth.

You carried yourself with confidence, with pride, and every single noble within the ballroom responded to your very presence. They whispered, they sought, they undressed." The final word a mixture between a hiss and a growl that was accompanied by a small sneer of disdain before it all relaxed. "My heart knows where your own lies, my dragon, but my mind, too, is being a thorn in my side."

Fane stared down at Solas, shocked and...mesmerized. His sky had been jealous of the looks of fops and prisses? Those who had no chance of ever reaching through to his heart? To his emotions? Those who played with lives as a puppeteer did with strings?

This was...oddly amusing, but only because they were both fools.

Here they were, in the lion’s den, hunting an assassin that threatened to topple an empire, seeking answers to questions they didn’t even know yet, playing a game of macabre chess and deciding who would rise and who would fall, and they were both jealous from nattering nobles who killed for sport or an inconsequential servant girl that would be forgotten in the morn. The ridiculousness nearly made Fane cackle. Was this what court intrigue encompassed? He didn’t see the appeal.

Fane huffed out amusedly. "I love you.", he said, point blank with no room to be denied. “Ar lath ma, ma tarasyl.”, he repeated in Elvhen, lifting a hand to rub at his face and shook his head in disbelief at himself.

Solas’ eyes snapped open at his declaration, a blush stretching across his face and was apparent even in the shadows that embraced them. That swath of delicate pink nearly had Fane cracking, breathing out a steadying sigh through his nose instead. Damn anything that was holy, if poison didn’t kill him, this endearing, foolish elf would. How could he be so blind when responses like that reaffirmed where his sky’s heart lay?

“Sorry, it’s just..”, Fane started before letting out a tiny laugh, massaging his cheekbones in slow circles. “You looked so ashamed by how you felt, even though I just said I felt the same way. If anything, I should feel ashamed because I’m jealous of someone far more innocent than these Orlesian pricks.”

Solas tilted his head, raising an eyebrow. “May I know who you were jealous of?”, he inquired.

Fane let out an airy laugh, kneading his brow with two fingers. “The servant girl that just left not even five minutes ago.”, he admitted, face growing hot with shame and embarrassment. He was such a fool. A pathetic, blind fool.

“The servant--?”, Solas began before letting out a quiet, breathless laugh of his own. “Ma’isenatha, you are aware that we are at court, at the heart of Orlais, yes? Appearing gentile and cordial is but a step in a very specific dance. My reactions to her were equal parts genuine and fluid, and I felt nothing beyond that.”

Fane huffed, letting his hand fall to his side. “I know, but it’s like you said, just the sight of another making reaches for someone you fought for, someone you adore and respect is infuriating. I just got you back and to have it taken away again is--”, he tried to explain, lifting his hand back up to rub at his face again. “Fenhedis lasa. A fucking smile sent my mind spiraling. Ridiculous..”

16. Do they enjoy dancing?

Fane is the guy who stands in a dark corner at parties, and glares at everyone who tries to get too close, soooo...no. PFFFT!

However, if it were just he and Solas in their quarters, a light of levity possessing them, then he might be willing to let the other teach him steps that weren't able to be done by massive claws. The Winter Palace is the one time Fane takes the initiative and actively offers Solas his hand for a dance--all grace and poise unlike that of a dragon.

...The finery didn't fall fast enough that night for Solas. *is SLAPPED*

And I like to think Solas secretly yearns for such simple pleasures as a waltz or ginger circle, swaying to the music, time seeming endless once more. He misses what was before, and maybe just a tiny step can make him feel a little less lost. :3

53. Who is the better dancer?

Solas. 100%.

Fane is graceful in battle, able to shift his weight and glide with the flow of blood and chaos. But the more delicate arts--that of dancing? Yeah, no. My boy's prone to step on someone's toes and curse for them because 'A dragon? Dancing at court? Void take me..' Vivienne and Josephine had to let Solas teach Fane how to dance because he was so against the idea that he would lock himself in their quarters and refuse to entertain the two women. Solas has a hard time, but with Leliana's help, they manage to get Fane to see he does have a certain knack for the finer things. *winks*

Honestly, Solas is shocked at the Winter Palace when he sees Fane dancing with the Duchess because...he moved as if from memory, and not the one's of stumbling, cursing, and heavy sighing as legs tripped up and toes were stomped on.

Fane moved like an Evanuris--those attuned to the ancient courts with a charming smile in place to match. *sips my tea* Exquisite~

91. What is their song?

So, if I do like the implications that 'Once We Were' gives, and Solas and Fane like more gentle songs like that.

But me, personally? I adore 'Red Like Roses' from RWBY for these two. It just hits a lot of key points for me about them, but I seriously have to get a playlist together since so many songs make me thing of these two. 'Bad Habits' by Ed Sheeran is one that makes me think of them, too. Mainly Fane, but some parts fit for them together. *urge to compose a playlist intensifies*

Memories with Pkyek

My introduction to Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahani or PKYEK as we all called it started with the amazing introduction promos I watched several times on star one. I remember watching one of the trailers of PKYEK on star one when I was in 5th grade which is almost 11 years back. I was casually switching channels and I saw this ad, mysterious, the tone of the ad was pretty dark, a curly haired girl and a blue eyed guy and he saves her from getting hit by a car. It was strangely so beautiful and the words “math aao mere kareeb, aag hu main jal jaogi” was clearly stuck in my head and this was a promo a week before the serial released.

I think the serial was scheduled to air from 18th October 2010 which was 2 days before my birthday and although I decided I have to watch this I could not watch it for some reason and I forgot about this serial. One day in class my bench mate and then close friend started talking to me about this serial and I immediately told her how much I loved the promo and she asked me to watch the episodes at 8:30 and if I missed it she also told me the re-broadcast timings which was sometime in the evening. I was like yeah sure since she strongly recommended it to me I would definitely watch it. So I was almost 7-8 episodes late and the first episode I watched was Abhay-Piya's first dance and the first scene I watched was Haseena telling Abhay to control himself on their party night near a small bridge kind of place and then the dance followed. 

OMG I must tell how it was one of the best dances I had ever seen on TV serial, it was so magical, especially the way they both were so lost in each other’s eyes and he ensured her torn dress wasn’t visible to anyone and also they danced on to kuch khaas hai song which was such a great song and it ended with the signature Mahiyaa tune. It instantly got me hooked to and I watched it religiously every day. My mom did not want me to watch teen romance Hindi TV serial so I literally had to change channels to Hungama every time she came to the hall XD. Since PKYEK was such a phenomena at school I made so many friends and the best part about pkyek is wherever I went after school for example junior college, Uni, my cousins friends etc all became my friends because of how we all watched pkyek LOL. 

Anyway so I got my really studious friend Z into watching it and she was this person who never watched TV but once she say Abhay she was hopelessly in love with that guy. I cringe when I think we all went through this in 5th grade, I mean how were we all swooning over him like proper teenagers. Anyway one day she went to the library and found his picture on some magazine and she told me and I literally ran to the library to get a hold of it but there were so many people already holding it and finally I got a glimpse of Abhay Raichand’s photo and a short interview by Vivian D'sena. I think she started getting so addicted to pkyek that her mom did not like it and she sometimes called me n my landline to talk about it lol. One day there was this class in school where we weren’t supposed to talk so her and I wrote whatever we had to talk on my notebook along with my friend D and the full chat was about Z, D and me swooning over Abhay, while letting A have Abhay and us mostly us teasing her with him. The chats were extremely funny so I tore them from my book and gave it to my senior in my school bus to read it, and when her stop came, before she got down she handed over the papers to me. I think my bad luck was super great that day and my bus teacher, who was this very this strict language teacher who 7-8th grade students caught her passing the papers onto me and asked me to hand it over to her. I immediately put them into my bag and tried tearing them into pieces while she kept screaming to hand it over to her. In the end I had to hand over one part of the chat which was quite dangerous considering we were only 5th graders going crazy about an actor and talking like late teens but I managed to save the dangerous part in my bag. This ***** ma’am read it and literally told me that she would hand it over to my school’s head teacher and she did that the very next day. Why can’t teachers get a life? 

Anyway the next day I came to class and told everyone about this and my extra sweet friends told me not to worry about it. In between an afternoon class, the peon came and called Z first, we thought maybe she got called for some extra circular activity, but when the peon came again and called me I knew I was dead. I went into the head teacher's room and she had almost got screwed and I was next in line and I somehow told even D was a part of this convo and even she got called. The other girls in my class were actually worried cuz they knew what was happening. And later head teacher screwed all of us and I guess Z cried on her way to class and then the head teacher let me and D go to class but we were so shameless, after getting a earful we could not stop laughing and literally lmaoed in the corridor before entering the class. This whole thing kind of strained my friendship with Z, and we weren’t the best of friends anymore but D and I still stuck close.

My school had this weird system where there was a girls and boys corridor and the girl’s corridor was pretty cool since it was on the left side and was closer to the trees while the right corridor used by guys was where the teachers entered the class from. So in these corridors we always role played and for some reason I was always Abhay even though I wanted to be Piya (I’m guessing it was because Of my short hair and being an serious faced person generally) and a lot of my friends were Piya and this friend of mine who was crazy about guys was called tracker and my friend D was Misha and we used to randomly dance to songs and recall the dialogues from the previous episodes, do the remoe juliet skit from pkyek and all sorts of things.

The background music on Pkyek is seriously so legendary and is among one of my favourite bgm tracks for a hindi serial. I would personally rate it number one and it had been my ringtone for 3 years. I tried looking for the Mahiyaa singer and the official song but I could not find it anywhere and mostly found only the recorded copies played in the serial. In my school bus I had seniors who I was very very close to because of pkyek and we always sung the background music, it’s so funny how we knew all the background music from pkyek by heart and remembered it perfectly and were in sync. I started singing this usually in my class as well and my friends hummed along.

Times of India and this other newspaper which I can’t recall had this section where TV channel broadcast programs were listed every day and this tiny picture from random TV shows was displayed on top of it. Whenever there was a pkyek picture all our friends used to literally fight over a picture that was probably 1*1 cms, very very tiny and even the quality wasn’t great but if you opened my pencil pouch on any random day you would find at least 10-15 of them LOL (I’ve lost all of them now).

I already mentioned how strict my mom was back then so I had to watch the re broadcast since I couldn’t watch the episodes fully at 8:30 PM. I had to wake up around midnight or early morning to watch it. I remember my parent’s thinking I sleep walked because my parents found me in hall instead of my room on odd mornings. It was quite the life with the box TV since I had to sit so close to it and the volume had to be on 1 or 2 since I could not wakeup people at home while watching it. One of the benefits of waking up early to watch this was also that I could see the newest promos on TV and I was always the first one in class to tell what the new promos were about. I remember telling my friends some of the coolest Pkyek promos like the vampire reveal one which in my opinion is still the best promo for a Hindi TV serial (I think Parvati introduction promo for Mahadev on Lifeok is a close second) and the promo where Abhay bites her and many more. I remember revealing this to my friends and my friends rushing home and switching on star one and waiting for the promos to appear and calling me to tell how amazing those promo were.

I remember how this one time I went to my senior A's house and we created fake Ouija board to call spirits. So we called her dead grandmother's spirit and she asked if the creepy guy in her class who was obsessed with her would stop annoying her and I immediately remembered the pkyek scene where Panchi asks maithli on the Ouija board if Danish would ever get punished. I don't know who's idea it was to play with it but it certainly had to do something with pkyek.

Those were really the fun times of my life. Pkyek is and will always be the most memorable serial for me. It’s not like we can expect great cg and VFX for a vampire serial and it in no way could be another vampire dairy or twilight (not to forget EK produced it) but the story and the writing was really amazing. I was a huge sucker for Abhay-Piyas chemistry and the supporting cast were literally the best!

1. Who's the one who's reckless and always getting into trouble while the other gotta pull em out

Beckett and Sascha actually do have a lot of braincells between them but none of them are in use for 'can sense danger'. Ilias has gained some minor common sense since his 'hey, I'm going to ask our Antediluvian for power to help face its favourite childe oh whoops I am possessed' thing and is usually the one sighing fondly and saving their asses.

2. Who's the one to send the other "I love my gf/bf" memes

Ilias. 100% Ilias. He would go out in public in a shirt saying 'I <3 Sascha' and calling them ‘my flower’ while Sascha is just pleased they can't blush any more.

3. Who's the one who listens to a music genre the other doesn't like and how does the other react

God their music tastes are all over the place. Sascha is over a thousand years old and has seen and heard A Lot. They consider the Romantic period 'modern music'. Beckett is similar albeit with about 350 years of it. Ilias got hurled from 1233 to 2004 and after a period of ??? went, "Oh, Romanian music!" and it was. Dragostea Din Tei. Like can you imagine one moment it’s 1233 and the next moment you are listening to Dragostea Din Tei. Also thanks to the language drift they only caught about a quarter of the words so it was this whole thing where he almost, almost was understanding it but the rest was just, “...what.” And that’s how Ilias discovered modern music.

Anyway yeah they’ve pretty much decided that their collective music tastes are so disparate no one is allowed to comment on them.

4. Which one spoils the other more and do they ever get competitive to show the other more love

Honestly, they all kind of spoil each other, albeit in different ways. Like Ilias will just randomly pop a handmade flower crown on Sascha’s head. Beckett will occasionally find an extremely rare book on his desk and know Sascha found it for him. Beckett always tells Sascha first when he’s found something cool so they can be the first to investigate it. And they absolutely get competitive, yeah.

5. How many years did it take to get married or was it just not for them

Sascha and Ilias have a mutual blood bond, which is more or less the equivalent of thus. Beckett has a mutual bond with Anatole, but he and Sascha have a level-2 bond.

7. Are their friends/family supportive

 Honestly, uh, Sascha and Ilias don’t really have anyone else. Beckett’s companions tend to range from, “They’re terrifying but I trust your judgment :D” (Anatole) to “hahahahahaha if Vykos harms one hair on Beckett’s head I’ll end them” (Lucita) to “WHY” (Aristotle, Okulos, most others tbh).

8. How does one comfort the other when the other is in distress/having a panic attack/crying

Sascha is the one most prone to panic attacks because trauma is a bitch and basically just... Beckett and Ilias both respond by with hugging/gentle restraint (if they’re okay with touch) or by giving them space and doing things like running a hot bath when they’re touch-averse.

9. Which one dissociates

Honestly Sascha spent most of 1234 to 2006 lowkey dissociating, which is fair when there’s literally another essence fused to yours. Post-Dracon, they still get the occasional dissociative episode, but it’s much easier to bring them back to themself.

10. Which one stares at the other's booty like “damn” and how does the other react when catching them

All three tbh. Beckett stares at Sascha, Sascha either gets a bit self-conscious or a bit ;) , depending on mood. Sascha stares at both Beckett and Ilias and gets a bit embarrassed when caught (Beckett will laugh it off, Ilias will basically be ;D). Ilias stares at both and is completely shameless about it because he may no longer be on the Path of Pleasure but he’s absolutely not going to feel ashamed for admiring his gorgeous lovers.

11. When they live together what kinda place do they live in? What does their home look like?

Beckett and Sascha travel too much for one place, honestly, and Ilias accompanies them a lot. They do have a few houses scattered throughout the world, though, including one in the Carpathians (nowhere near Brasov, tyvm). Not really as big as the monastery, it’s mostly like... big library, a few comfortable places to sleep or rest, Ilias likes having a garden these days and grows a lot of flowers.

Ilias gets even more handsy. Actually he can get to be a bit of a pain, but he does listen immediately if one of them tells him to tone it down. Beckett gets very enthusiastic and fired-up and a bit more feral and he’s gonna go find Enoch right now and prove Caine wasn’t real once and for all. Sascha, uh, tends to get a bit emotional and also very talkative, but can literally like. Talk their way into minor breakdowns. Basically less barriers.

14. Which one rolls over in the morning evening to wake up the other one just to kiss them

15. Have they saved each other's lives before

Yup!

Ficverse-wise, Sascha did also save Ilias from becoming a bogatyr to the Eldest, although that was also Sascha and Beckett both saving themselves by being emotionally honest. Yeah XD

16. Does one have an interest the other think is weird but wants to listen to it regardless

Ilias’ spirituality conflicts a bit with Beckett’s... atheism, I guess? Like he’s definitely not sure he believes in the spirits that Ilias regularly works with as a Koldun, but he’s willing to keep a relatively open mind. (He’s a bit less open-minded in Sascha’s belief in - and support of - Caine, given that he’s literally based his career around the metaphor theory!)

There is absolutely no kinkshaming here. Listen Ilias was a Priest of Jarilo. Sascha was once on the Path of Pleasure too. Beckett seduced Dracula for information then forgot to ask his question. They’re all very open about everything.

There may be teasing about the odd hobby or interest but it’s pretty lighthearted.

19. Is one of them self conscious about their body? If so how does the other comfort them

Beckett occasionally has Moments over his hands and worries about hurting Sascha or something. They basically respond by being like “are you kidding the claws are hot as hell”. On occasion, Beckett will get one of them to Vicissitude them down if he wants to use his hands more, although they’ll regrow and be achey for a night or two afterwards.

20. Say they were cuddling on the bed while listening to record player playing the background. Which song is playing?

Honestly I want to say Third Eye by Florence + the Machine just for fic reasons. When I was writing Mantle I saw it very much as Beckett towards Sascha, but it fits with Ilias towards them as well.

I have no idea how they would have discovered F+tM but anyway.

23. What kinda joyrides do they go on? Relaxing ones or wild ones?

It. I imagine it usually involves police chases. When it doesn’t Beckett will occasionally go wolf so he can stick his head out the car window like :P

25. Do people ever get annoyed of their pda

God probably. One of the main exceptions is Anatole, who’ll basically go, “Oh! Are we cuddling?” and flop on top of Beckett.

27. Which one’s the red, which one’s the blue

They’re all red. Fear. Ilias is probably closest to blue.

28. Are either of them mentally ill, if so how do they help one another cope

Sascha has both PTSD (from Symeon and Michael, and from the Eldest) and C-PTSD (from being bound to the Dracon for literal centuries). Also depression and anxiety, which are... pretty common with those. See question 8 for some of the coping methods, the rest is just... taking each day as it comes. Like they’ve lived a very long time, but they only got free of the Dracon in 2006, so it’s still a very new thing.

Ilias has some trauma from some of the things he’s had to do to survive since waking up with the Thirst of Ages, and gets into guilt spirals on occasion. He mostly focuses on Path of Nocturnal Redemption methods to work through it; he’s kind of adverse to anyone seeing him vulnerable like that. He knows Sascha has done some awful shit, but they weren’t themself at the time so Ilias feels it doesn’t count, and Beckett is like, Humanity 6? He just doesn’t get it, so Ilias keeps it to himself.

Beckett has an odd, acquired one - his experiences in Jerusalem left him with the ability (if it could be called an ability!) to occasionally hear the Cobweb (the Malkavian Madness Network). While his connection isn’t nearly as strong as an actual Malkavian’s, he does get odd flashes of Insight; less helpfully, it can occasionally get, uh, loud in his head. This tends to ramp up a bit with proximity to Malkavians, so when he’s around Anatole, Anatole will help him filter the voices and thoughts out by teaching him meditation techniques. (Given that Anatole - correctly - feels responsible for Beckett being afflicted thus, he wants to make sure it doesn’t hit his lover too badly.)

29. Does one have a spot on them where they would melt when the other kisses them there

Sascha and Ilias are usually... very chill; if they argue, it’s over the other’s safety, like Ilias wanting to do something reckless and Sascha being very much ‘please do not’. Sascha and Beckett argue a bit more, although thankfully they have now stopped trying to literally kill each other XD When they do, it’s usually ideological, related to Gehenna, Caine, et cetera. Sascha is still very much a part of the Sabbat, and Beckett is, well, basically an atheist.

40. Who would fight in honor for the other if someone would insult them

GGS Redesign Analysis: Faust

The Frosty Faustings event has recently passed with memorable and intense matches. At the end, it reveals the gameplay trailer for the character the event is named after; Faust. This is a continuation of my in-depth analysis of the characters' redesigns(original post can be found here https://shenlongshao.tumblr.com/post/189263935197/gg-strive-thoughts-part-3 ). This will be a lengthy post that'll follow the same format like I did the others. I hope you enjoy reading!~

FAUST ---------

After unveiling the full title of the new Guilty Gear game, Faust was briefly shown. Many people, including myself, was surprised at huge change to his design. The latest trailer gave everyone a clearer look at his gameplay and how he seemingly conveying a darker essence in comparison to the usually bright, wacky, and compassionate persona he's known for. I'll begin by examining his past design as Dr.Baldhead.

Prior to his battle attire, Dr.Baldhead wears the uniform of his profession with a long, white doctor's coat. The buttons in front and two medical crosses on his upper sleeves is black. Underneath is a black dress-shirt with a red tie, though the design of his gloves and shoes are unique. His layered gloves concealing his palms is teal green while the finger part is black. His socks and shoes share the same color scheme with black straps around the ankles. Round-shaped glasses conceal his eyes and fitting to his name, he's also bald.

In his battle attire, Dr.Baldhead a.k.a Faust's very lean, yet somewhat athletic build can be seen on his legs and arms. A wide, white thick collar of the teal green tunic is worn on his body accented with soldier padded sleeves. There's multiple straps in the belt around his waist with a silver buckle in the center. Another interesting part of his design is he's the tallest Guilty Gear character(he's 9 FT. 3in' tall). It fits well with how initially he's a caring doctor who genuinely wants to help and save people, but the guilt of a young girl patient dying in his care spurs him into insanity and bloodlust. I think this design is very reminiscent of classic cartoon doctors or mad scientists being bald, skinny, and wearing round glasses. Which is fitting for his story at the time, but it didn't last for it was the beginning on the path of atonement; leading to the iconic look and name we know him as; Dr.Faust.

I love the creativity put into Faust's iconic look because it's something never seen before. His face is covered by a light brown paper bag with a bullet hole on his left "eye"(it's a mystery whether it's his actual eyes or his eyes are covered by glasses or a special eye gadget that makes it glow). He wears a tailored, white doctor's jacket with broad shoulder pads. Large black buttons is seen on the edges of his shoulders and the helms of his sleeves. On his upper sleeves is a singular belt while two belt straps is in the front to secure it in place. Underneath is blue dress-shirt with a black tie and wears green pants on his lower body. On his feet is brown penny loafers with two large black buttons in the front. White, blue, green, and brown has been Faust main colors throughout, conveying not only his profession as a doctor, but also his personality. White Personality(https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-white.html): Having a personality color white means you are neat and immaculate in your appearance, in the presentation of your home and in your car, almost to the point of being fanatical. You have impeccable standards of cleanliness and hygiene and you expect others to adhere to your high standards. You are well-balanced, sensible, discreet and wise. You may be wishing to create simplicity in your life - perhaps a wish to re-create your childhood, lost youth and happier times in your past life.White is totally reflective, awakening openness, growth and creativity. You can't hide behind it as it amplifies everything in its way. White is a color of protection and encouragement, offering a sense of peace and calm, comfort and hope, helping alleviate emotional upsets. It creates a sense of order and efficiency, a great help if you need to declutter your life. Blue Personality(https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-blue.html): You are genuine and sincere, and you take your responsibilities seriously. Having a personality color blue means you have a deep need for peace and harmony in your everyday life - you don't like having your feathers ruffled. You would benefit from daily meditation and quiet time for reflection, introspection and self-discovery. You appear to be confident and self-controlled, but may be hiding your vulnerable side. You are a rescuer and love to be needed but one of your lessons is to learn to love yourself first - you live from your heart and are always busy putting the needs of others first. You are intelligent and love to learn - you are quick to understand new concepts. You like to be accepted, appreciated and admired for the good you do in the community as well as in your family life. Brown Personality(https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-brown.html): You are friendly and approachable, genuine and sincere. You feel uncomfortable about losing control but will work hard to change a situation that seems unjust or unfair. You are hard-working, industrious and reliable. The only thing missing is the description of Faust's cheerful and humorous side. But if you think about how green is the mix of yellow(the cheerful color) and blue, then it conveys this side of him. There is some tweaks to his design in GG Xrd SIGN and onwards to add extra color and detail.

All of the buttons that were black are changed to gray while his tie is colored yellow. Attached to the leather straps on his upper sleeves is red medical crosses along with a black one. His green pants has thin stripes, which gives a 1960s gentleman style to him. His primary colors are still the same, but let's look at the meaning of the extra colors added to him. Yellow Personality(https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-yellow.html): You have a happy disposition and are cheerful and fun to be with. You are creative, often being the one who comes up with new ideas - an ideas person who needs others to bring the ideas into reality - you tend to have your head in the clouds much of the time. You analyze everything, all the time, and are methodical in your thinking. You are spontaneous - you are able to think quickly on your feet and make instant decisions. You have a modern outlook. New technology doesn't faze you. You communicate well on a mental level with like-minded people, but can become bitter and sharp-tongued if crossed. Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, the color psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun. Red Personality(https://www.empower-yourself-with-color-psychology.com/personality-color-red.html): As a personality color red, you are stimulating to be with and you radiate a great deal of energy. Lovers of red are the explorers and pioneers of the world, the entrepreneurs and builders who like to be first in discovering new physical realms. If you favor the personality color red you have a passion and enthusiasm for life and are not afraid to pursue your dreams and goals. You are a hard worker when you have a personality color red, and you specifically enjoy physical labor and working with your hands. All of these colors match Faust perfectly and love the little tweaks to his look. I think this is the best design for him and adds a special, unique essence to the world of Guilty Gear. In the story, Faust finally discovers the truth about the young patient that died is actually caused by the Conclave and is on the path of discovering the cure for the Japanese's illness. He continues to dig deeper and deeper into these, which likely leads to a redesign since these are huge story developments for him. 

Design-wise, the only thing kept from his previous look is the brown paper bag over his head. This shows that he hasn't reverted to being Dr.Baldhead(cause the bag is conveying shame of his past while also wanting to atone for it). It obviously isn't the same bag because in the previous game, it says "Wandering Doctor Faust". But in Strive, it has something different written on it, which you can see when viewed upside down. (Note: From now on, I’ll just link to the pictures since Tumblr is weird, XD). https://i.imgur.com/fL6ECm9.png It says "Blackhole Donuts & Cafe". There is also a sentence written under it, but due to the shadows, it's hard to see. I've tried to brighten and enlarge it abit. It's still somewhat hard to see, but I'm 70% sure it says "Our donuts are not whole...without the hole." This relates to Faust liking donuts(also one of his moves he randomly tosses out a donut). Let's look at the rest of him. https://i.imgur.com/ooBZQKR.png Faust is wearing the teal colored scrubs typical for surgeons and nurses to wear. In front of the shirt is a grunge type splatter with the white medical cross and the word "Good" written in lowercase. The 'd' if examined closely, has the hand sign for "Okay", hinting of Faust's quirkiness is still there. There's also something written on the upper back part of his shirt seen here, which I think most likely is "Stimulation". https://i.imgur.com/0Ivbpcn.png On his upper arms is double leather straps and white gloves with black medical crosses, which is derived from his coat as Dr.Baldhead.  Underneath his shirt is what looks like medical utility belt with yellow straps attached to the large syringe. But I believe this belt is actually a medical tourniquet belt due to the design and how it's slightly above the waistline. A tourniquet generally is a special belt used to stop blood overflow from a terrible wound. It's true Faust has always been the skinniest character, but he never looked like he was anorexic. If you look at the Dr.Baldhead pictures, you can see some very lean muscle and even how his clothes fit him prior to GG Strive. There's also the dry skin patches around his chest and arm that likely caused from either a surgery or some type of injury. Lastly, on his feet is a pair of what some assume to be Nike type sneakers instead of penny loafers. It's mainly white with yellow trim and teal colored shoes laces. This time, his main color is Teal, so let's see what this means for Faust. Teal Personality(https://colorpsychologymeaning.com/color-teal/): Teal is reserved, intuitive and perhaps an introverted color, teal is different, yet it doesn’t look for attention. Teal is also unconventional, someone who likes teal appreciates those things that are a little bit different. They value their uniqueness and they don’t wish to just fit in with the crowd.Teal is also a cautious color, not impulsive and doesn’t take unnecessary risks. Teal personality is to think before acting.Those who like or wear teal are also probably open minded people, they like to keep their options open and they don’t judge situations and people quickly. They are also very likely to have creative, perhaps artist tendencies. Influences of Teal: Teal encourages objective and analytical thinking. Teal is calming and encourages introversion and reserved character traits. Teal can promote repression of emotions, can reduce feelings of empathy. Teal can discourage erratic and spontaneous thinking. You're probably thinking, "How can he be calming when he looks so creepy?!"  Lol! I totally understand that feeling from watching the trailer. But there are 2 things in keep in mind that'll help ease the creepiness. Anyone in the medical department purposely wear colors that not only represent cleanliness, but also calm and friendly so their patients feel safe and cared for. Faust has always worn colors to reflect this along with his personality; he truly cares about other people and tries to help through medicine. Teal is one of these colors, but there is another side to it you probably notice; the part where it says "promote repression of emotions". Repression means to hold something or someone back by force, and since Faust isn't acting his usual expressive self, it hints of something caused him to be "repressed", disoriented, etc. What happened to poor Faust??? Obviously, the best answer would be "wait until the game is released to find out". But this doesn't mean we can't theorize based on what happened in his story! GG Theory Time: Faust has possibly found a cure for the illness plaguing the Japanese, but he's paying a heavy price for it. Do you remember when Faust was researching in the Royal Library? If not, please watch this video(You'll have to skip to 13:37 to see).

Notice there's a pile of books he has thoroughly read, including 3 called "The Black Sunrise", "Rise to Power", and Eripmavs's Memoir".

"Eripmavs's Memoir= Eripmavs's D Yraid": This has a weird name, but look at it in reverse, it's really "Vampire D's Diary". If you didn't know, this is Slayer's memoir about what happened before, during, and after The Crusades.

"The Black Sunrise": In the GG Library, it's from how a travelling author described the destruction of Japan caused by Justice was like; the sunrise upon the jet-black ocean.

"Rise to Power": This one isn't mention in the GG library, or probably not directly. But if watching everything that happened in the story, it's likely about Gear Cells. Particularly, how Japanese were converted into anti-matter Gears through Information Flares that rewrites their DNA. And how Ki Overlow Syndrome is a side effect of massive amount of Mana and data from The Backyard. My theory is Faust has got the same disease as the Japanese. We currently don't see him have migraines or fevers, but do see he's suffering the severe symptoms like being listless(lacking energy) and feeble(lacking physical strength, especially from illness or age). There's also how his reality-warping powers, etc. has been enhanced alot from looking at the trailer of his gameplay(example how he has Chipp appear from the dimensional wormhole he opened).  When you think about the legend beyond the name "Faust", he could have also gained massive amount of Mana(Magic) and Information(Knowledge) from The Backyard. This probably somehow helped him find out the cure for Japanese and created the medicine. What I mean by this is NOT him going into The Backyard itself, but it’s how the side effects of the Ki Overflow Syndrome has a double-edge sword result for him.  The skin patches around his chest and arm could be surgeries he performed on himself as part of testing, or either the P.W.A.B, The Conclave, or whatever the new threat will be did it. I think for his story in Guilty Gear Strive, it's going to highlight the dilemma similar to the Faust legend of "Can Faust become a true super-human, be resolute and redeemed? Or will he prove his human weakness and unsuitability and be doomed?"

After getting over the shock of how different(but beautifully) he animates and the dark vibe mixed with his silliness, it suffers the same issue I have with May's. Instead of it being equal or better than the iconic look, it's a huge downgrade. The scrubs doesn't have any style except for the words in front and back of his shirt, which that can easily be printed on. His gloves are okay, but I think it could've been better like adding some trim or even take inspiration from his Dr.Baldhead look. His sneakers also isn't very unique or stylish either, just very generic. It's probably why they have him in shadows so much cause of how basic he looks, XD. Rating: E(Epic Fail!)

17. On avarage, how much writing do you get done in a day?

Mun Ari: Aahh~ Depends the inspiration or the idea I’m working on. If the idea is stuck in my head then I can write up to 2 one-shots. Usually I won’t stand up until I finish 1 escenario. However, if I’m in partials exams...I’m totally unproductive.

42. How do you figure out your characters looks, personality, etc.

Mun Ari: I suck at that! I just think some traits randomly. Ari is based on my appearance and some personality traits of mine, so that was easy xD.

My grandchildren have a mixture of both Ari’s and Kino’s physical traits. Vicky is still a challenge when it comes to her personality since I want her to be the perfect combination of both her parents (she’s actually still under development). Weirdly enough Áaron is easier for me since he’s serious, simple and likes to tease xD

With Naomi I played with picrew games: I only wanted her to look like a lady: that’ll she’ll look inaccessible and cold, but pretty as well~. She’s cold and reserved (a little mean too), but she’s protective, kind, nice and a pervy (you’ll get to meet her very soon!)

So basically is random, but as long as it makes sense as long as provides me with material to work xD

Mun Ari: Whenever I’m stuck I ask my friend Stephie! She makes great observations and Mun Eli helps me a lot with Kino’s tiny details or in general talking with her gives me ideas (I mean she’s a Kino expert!). They help me a lot! Also, I like when people tell me directly what they think. Also if I’m told “you’re doing ok/good/amazing” that’s the best thing! So please comment on author’s work please! about the upcoming mini-code event

So usually when I find a good announcement post, I don’t make one of my own. Buuuuuut people seem pretty confused about this upcoming event and since I tend to read things very carefully, I thought I’d just let you know why I’m personally stoked about this event! 

PLEASE NOTE: This event is a WORLD PREMIERE/ DEBUT! That means we’re the first server to play this one so while I don’t have a PERFECT idea of what to expect, I’ve played enough Nikki to kind of read Devinese (well... for the most part XD). THESE ARE JUST MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS (READ: CONSPIRACY THEORIES) ON WHAT THE EVENT MIGHT BE LIKE.

That’s the time of the event and a reminder that we’re first to experience it, yo.

- Complete stages in Journey have a chance to find [Code]. Break the [Code] to gain items or clothes rewards.

- You can only break 1 Code at one time. When the time countdown⌛️ ends, you will be able to unlock the Code and get the rewards.

We’ve had two event types that allow interaction with journey I think (not JUST collecting things): The Miraland Quiz (which allows you to collect feathers, then use them in a special time-limited tab one at a time to complete a special task *wink wink,* and exchange for items after completing X number of tasks) and the Moon Chaser Event with Yue and the Glaze Lanterns (collect lanterns and at random, Yue appears to ask you to gamble exchange them for some unknown prize). 

If we have to “Break the [Code]” to gain items, I feel it may possibly be some sort of quiz set up and am really hoping it’s similar in set up to Miraland Quiz. Maybe it’ll be a bit different and even more interactive than multiple choice! But I have a feeling we’ll have to use a bit of brainpower (and kinda am hoping for it!). 

HOWEVER, because of the next part about a countdown, we may not have to do anything except accept (what I’m referring to as a Yue-type event). What I mean is, we may play journey until randomly, a [Code] pops up and asks us to accept/ confirm the quest. Accepting would then initiate a countdown that automatically unlocks the Code (no brackets), or challenges you, on the spot, to answer a quiz question before time runs out or you have to try again. 

I even have some other conspiracy theories, but these are the most likely. Actually, based on the next part (even though I really am hoping for Quiz!), Yue type might be the more likely of the two, imo!

- [Accelerator] can be used to accelerate the breaking of the codes.

- [Basic Code] might drop [Robot Theme Parts].

- [Advanced Code] might drop non-repetitive part of the suit [Humanoid Source Code]. And there is even a chance to gain the WHOLE suit directly!!!

Notice those brackets. Those are different “[Code]” types! It means different things will be popping up and they all have different functions! 

The [Accelerator] is going to speed up the [Code] breaking process (meaning... oh my goodness... Those countdowns? They might either be hour(s) long-- unlocking by themselves after the countdown finishes-- and [Accelerator] cuts the time down OR the [Accelerator] unlocks the [Code] for you, allowing you to move on to the next! Now, it’s looking more likely to be a Yue-type... LOL!)

The [Basic Code] is how you’ll get the Robot Theme Parts (the Devs went to the trouble of pointing this out directly-- read the below hourglass to learn what that means!)

The [Advanced Code] is the one ya wanna get because those are NON-REPEATING DROPS of Humanoid (when it drops pieces). There’s probably a REALLY LOW drop rate for the [Advanced Code] that drops the entire set (and a really long countdown leading up to it lol!)

- More details can be gained with the [Rules] button in the event panel.

Read the rules when they come out, yo (or check back here. I’ll make another post with the OFFICIAL “how to play” since it’s a world debut and THESE ARE JUST MY OBSERVATIONS).

⌛️Three [Robot Theme Parts] are not included in the suit [Humanoid Source Code]. ⌛️[Humanoid Source Code] included NEW makeup which has two skin versions. It also included two special poses with different skin versions.

More info about what the [Robot Theme Parts] are (so some are included in Humanoid and THREE are NOT! You’ll find these in [Basic Code] drops and they WILL repeat because there’s no guarantee they won’t like in [Advanced Code]. Notice that because of this, you MAY get repeats of some robot themed pieces of Humanoid, but you won’t get repeats of the entire set thank goodness). 

And idk what to say about this last part except that I’m always excited for dynamic poses and skintones. But notice it says TWO special poses so maybe there are two dynamic poses? Hard to say as that could simply refer to the fact that it is posed with two different skintones (Edited to ask: Is that a new skintone??? Hot Beat and Original Nikki).

Code Realize Playthrough - Chapter 6: Negotiated Solution

The very much delayed playthrough of Chapter 6 of Code Realize was finally completed~! This was quite a long playthrough so I’m very much sorry for the delay. (Realised that I haven’t been playing the game for almost 2 months so yikes~)

This chapter’s spotlight is on my favourite Fran (at the moment XD)~! I really like that he had alot of scenes this time as I’ve been enjoying them very much~ <3 Fran was so cool this time even though he may seem to be actually quite dangerous... O////O” Nevertheless, it was interesting to see the many sides of Fran, even if only a tiny bit was revealed. It made me even more interested to learn more about him and like him as a person~ +W+

The story started with a dream. Someone was running through the wasteland, running away from a land of corpses. It was Fran, and as he flung off his mask, he cried out wondering what had he done. Fran had seen a small child reaching out for help, but ended up dying on the spot, and knew that this hell that he was in, was created by none other than himself. Fran screamed... until he awoke from the nightmare.

(This part probably revealed abit on Fran's backstory. Poor Fran on having to carry this guilt in his heart...) 

Back to Cardia's point of view, Delacroix II had joined them and came to live in the mansion, and it had been a week since then. But both sides had yet to warm up with each other since... just before that they would still in a kill-or-be-killed situation with him ^^; As Saint had told the others that he would be helping them with the living expenses, they're not in a rush to earn money currently, but still they decided to find a source of income somehow. Cardia wanted to start a side job at home, but since she had to keep wearing her gloves, she can't do very detailed work and thus felt abit discouraged. Also, she wondered when would she be able to get rid of her body with this poison in it, thinking back to her limited past where people had attacked her and used words harshly that penetrated her heart. (Aww... Poor Cardia TWT)

During breakfast time in the morning, Impey remarked that he was glad that everyone seems to be satisfied with the breakfast he had made since he found it limiting to make them since they could only use preserved food for now (in order to cut down costs). Saint encouraged him by telling the meals were far from boring for him, but Impey wanted to provide more variety of dishes, claiming himself to be a genius chef. Saint decided to diss him that he thought that he was supposed to be a genius engineer rather than a chef ^^; Impey was worried about Van getting sick of his cooking since the latter hasn't been eating much. Van assured him that they're delicious, in fact still too delicious to the point that he still couldn't believe that Impey was the one who made them ^^; (That sounds more like an insult than a compliment ^^;) 

Saint had noticed that the decrease of Van's appetite started when Delacroix II came to the mansion and wondered whether he was worried about him. Though Cardia was worried about them too, she knew that she can't just jump into the issues that were between them, and started to guess whether it's a bad idea to invite Delacroix II to stay with them... Saint pointed out that Delacroix II did not join them for breakfast again, wondering whether he's alright, but Cardia assured him that he's eating since the plates were always clean when she went and retrieve the food she left for him. 

Just then Impey noticed that Fran was being weirdly quiet too with a serious expression, and asked him whether he had a stomach ache. Fran noticed that he was being called upon, and tried to assure the others that he's alright, but from the looks of it... it's not that convincing =w=" 

Lupin had been running around to different places so it’s sad that the other guys haven’t been seeing him much, nor he was able to join them at the table for meals frequently TWT Cardia remembered that the last time they all had a meal together was during the time they began to chase after Delacroix, which is probably quite a long while ago by now.

Seeing that everyone seems to be in low spirits, it’s up to our grand chef Impey to create a feast to make everyone happy~! Van thought it’s a good idea and wanted to cook too, but Van’s cooking skills... seems suspicious ^^;

Impey wanted to invite Delacroix to join them for the party too, and had given the name - Dora-chan~ (I know the translation was “Delly”, but I preferred the original / voiced version so shall call him Dora-chan / Dracula instead ^^;)

Suddenly, Lupin returned to everyone’s surprise, and Fran was curious on what he was up to for the past few days, to which Lupin revealed that he’s dealing with something, and managed to come up with lots of funds for them~ It was a lot of money, which Lupin said that these were his “handling fees” from stealing from the rich.

(Apparently, it’s really a large amount of money if Impey said that they could buy themselves an airship OWO”)

Of course, Cardia wanted to know whether this money was gotten honestly (since she wasn’t comfortable with capturing Dracula the last time they could earn from it ^^;). Lupin assured her and revealed that he had actually stolen the money from an evildoer, though most of the money he had already given away to the poor and only kept a small part of it for himself. Of course, this amount of money wasn’t to be spent on lavish stuff, so they better spend it more carefully in case they ran of money again ^^; 

Interestingly, Saint asked Cardia out to accompany him for some shopping in the afternoon~ OWO (I think this may be the first time I get to see Cardia spend some alone time with him +W+)

After breakfast, Cardia went to bring breakfast to Dracula, but he isn’t in his room, so in the end, she just left his breakfast by the door. Suddenly, she heard a laughter, and peeking to look outside the window, she saw Dracula laughing happily while playing with Sisi. She felt at ease after seeing that he was able to laugh, and remembered how everyone had paid attention to her when she first laughed, she thought that perhaps this was the feeling that everyone had felt the last time.

(Aww, Dora-chan is so adorable here~ ^/////^)

Cardia headed down to approach Dracula, who was still in the midst of talking to Sisi and did not notice her approaching. But after Dracula noticed her, he quickly took a step back and was cautious against her.

(It would be good if Dora-chan was always so happy and smiling like this~ >////<)

Cardia tried to have a chat with Dracula nevertheless, by talking about Sisi since Dracula seems to be quite fond of him, and answered his question about why Sisi had a mechanical leg. After knowing that humans had mistreated Sisi and made him like this, Dracula thought that humans are heartless and evils, but Cardia tried to explain to him that not all humans are bad. (Not sure how much of Cardia’s words would be absorbed by Dracula though ^^;)

Lupin turned up soon after since he was looking for Dracula earlier on, and performing a magic trick, he made a suitcase appeared, which Lupin said was a gift for Dracula. Dracula opened the suitcase and was surprised to find that it contained the treasures of the vampires which he was planning to take back. Lupin had gone through the trouble to steal them back for him since in Lupin’s words, he never stole for himself, so he decided to steal these back for Dracula since the owner of these items were making dirty money anyway~

(Lupin, you look evil when you said it like that ^^;)

Dracula asked Lupin why he is doing this for him since he could not repay him (and Cardia caught him silently accepting the suitcase by pushing it behind him with his foot ^^), and Lupin assured him that he’s not going to take the treasures back from Dracula since he already had his own “reward” by stealing other stuff from these owners (and his handling fees ^^;).

(It’s cute how Dracula blushed later on and said that he’s not going to thank Lupin for doing this XD He’s really such a tsundere ^/////^)

(Apparently, Dora-chan doesn’t like the nickname we had for him, aww~)

Dracula affirmed once again that he won’t thank them while blushing before running off, so Cardia decided to thank Lupin on his behalf~ (Dracula is seriously so adorable that I just can’t be mad at him ^^;)

In the afternoon, Cardia went with Saint on a shopping trip just as what was promised earlier on, to get groceries for the feast later on as well as other stuff which the other members had requested. 

(Saint is such a gentleman to carry all the stuff by himself, other than two apples for Cardia to carry ^^; Somehow this was part of his ego and he would like Cardia to let him have his moment of glory.)

Suddenly, Cardia was shocked by the headline shown on the newspaper - which reported on their attempt to kidnap Finis on the train and stated that the government would be stepping up on their search efforts to capture Fran since the article had portrayed him to be a violent terrorist. Saint was serious as he told Cardia that they should come up with countermeasures. And thus, they decided to head back...

But Saint started walking in the opposite direction?! Cardia was confused but Saint got close to her and whispered that they’re being followed, and guessed that the people seem to be from Twilight. He decided to let them follow them abit longer and somehow... it seems like this was the time for hands-on training according to Saint ^^;

(Okay, at least Saint will still protect Cardia if anything would happen wrongly here ^^; How reassuring~)

(Seriously I’m just randomly choosing whatever that sounds right for me ^^; Cardia’s answer sounds right to me, but...) 

(Apparently, Twilight had attacked them in the middle of the streets so the answer doesn’t work in such a scenario D: So... did I even choose the correct option? o.O)

The two of them retreated into the alleyway, with Saint teaching Cardia that sensible tactics were no longer effective if the enemy threw their common sense out of the window. They ran until they saw more Twilight soldiers in front of them blocking their way, but Saint wasn’t surprised at all as he had already suspected that they had laid a trap to lure him and Cardia away from the main street. 

Cardia was brave and told Saint to run away while she buys them some time since she still had the smoke bomb that Fran had given her in the pocket. But of course, Saint isn’t someone who would run away and desert a girl by herself. He’s confident of his combat skills anyway XD

(I thought I was supposed to feel awed by Saint instead at this time, but Cardia impressed me more instead~ She’s so cool~ XD)

However, a new presence appeared and that seems to scare the Twilight soldiers enough that they quickly retreat. And who was to appear at this time other than Sholmes~!

Cardia was cautious of him since she still remembered that Sholmes was in their way when they were planning to capture Finis. Saint’s words to Sholmes were very sarcastic, accusing him of following them... which was actually correct I’ll say XD

(Kind of feel bad for Sholmes for a moment here since it seems like Cardia doesn’t appreciate of him rescuing her =w=“)

Actually, Sholmes was very interested in Twilight and wanted to follow them, and also ended up following Cardia and Saint. He had also heard about the treasures that were said to be owned by vampires were stolen, and suspected that they were stolen by Lupin. Cardia tried to cover up for Lupin, but in Sholmes’ eyes, she was such a bad liar. 

(Sorry Saint, but Cardia is just too honest and upright as a person~ It sounds as if he’s going to teach Cardia to lie XD)

Seeing how defensive they were against him, Sholmes had to assure them that he doesn’t intend to do anything other than confirm the facts. Even though Sholmes told them that they won’t be enemies for now, Saint caught onto that and asked him whether that would mean that they would become enemies in the future. And turned out... Sholmes told them that they would be enemies starting tomorrow morning D: He had been requested to help the Scotland Yard and the military to capture Fran, and the government was really serious about it, that Fran might even be killed if it was necessary as decided by them. 

Sholmes’s and Lupin’s views on justice were opposites, and Sholmes had seen Lupin's acts as crimes, and even felt that chaos would be created if the mass had followed his ways. Therefore, if Sholmes had decided to seriously come after them, he was confident that he would soon uncover their location and schemes in no time, even suggesting them to leave Britain. 

(Saint, your “another option” sounds like you’re planning on just killing Sholmes D: That sounds scary ><”)

Though Lupin and Sholmes’ views on justice were different, Cardia felt that they have something in common. Saint shared her views too and felt that both Lupin and Sholmes were very responsible for their actions, and were also very confident in themselves. But... it’s best not to mention this to Lupin since he still seems sore about Sholmes after being toyed by him on the train ^^;

By the time Cardia and Saint made it back to the mansion, it was already sunset. They talked about what that had happened to the others, and Lupin’s expression turned grim when he heard about Sholmes joining the opposition and would be capturing them. 

(Haha, it’s obvious that Lupin was very bothered and troubled that Sholmes is on the opposite side, but he doesn’t want to admit that he’s bothered by it ^^;)

(Hoho, is that so, Lupin?~ XD Poor Lupin’s ego must be shaking by now~)

The group then went onto their most important topic - Fran's wanted notice. They realised that their current location could be easily found if both the military and the Yard were actively looking for them, together with Twilight hot on their trails. Impey talked about whether they should escape from London and hide somewhere, but Lupin decided not to since it would interfere with their search for Isaac.

Suddenly, Fran proposed that he had an idea. He knew that the Twilight was specifically looking for Cardia only, and the government is not involved in that portion. Even though the Queen's guards were the ones who kidnapped her in the first place, Fran deduced that it was Finis using them for his own purposes, since after they've failed to capture her, there aren't any more investigations afterwards to look for her. This would mean that the government was only after Fran, to which Saint wondered whether Fran had wanted to turn himself in in order to divert the government's attention away from them.  

(Of course, Cardia doesn’t want to hand Fran over so easily T////T)

Cardia voiced out on her discomfort on handling Fran over, which Impey agreed with her too. But Fran assured them that he’s not surrendering himself to be captured as there’s “something” he needs to do, and what he was planning was to negotiate with the government to get them to stop chasing after them. Van had thought that the idea sounds ridiculous, but Fran assured him that he knew that they had a good chance to win this negotiation, and that would mean that they would be able to get Victoria, the Queen on their side if they succeed. 

Fran explained that the Queen had wanted certain knowledge that he has, and she feared that this knowledge would be leaked to other countries. (Apparently the knowledge that Fran knew was very important to the point that it could even turn the whole international situation around and place Britain in a difficult situation if it gets leaked out OWO”) Therefore, Fran planned to use this as a bargaining chip, to ask the Queen to guarantee their safety and freedom in exchange for not spreading the secrets to other countries. He also planned to let her know that Twilight was after them as well so that the Queen could help to restrict Finis’s actions later on. 

But, Fran would not reveal what this important knowledge was about, though Van ultimately agreed in the end. Cardia realised that this plan was not something that could be done easily, since if not, Fran would have done it a long time ago, and won’t have to resort to running away from the government instead. Fran gave a weak smile and told Cardia that she’s right, and revealed that if the Queen doesn’t agree and decided to capture Fan instead, he would end up locked up in the research lab forever and ever. Even though Lupin was worried about Fran carrying out this plan since Fran would be in the most dangerous position, but Fran insisted, saying that he didn’t want to cause trouble for them. 

Fran was serious and he cautioned the group that they would be going up against the most powerful people in the country - Queen Victoria and Finis. If they missed the opportunity to negotiate, Fran knew that they would be swallowed up their power, since Twilight, the military and the police would be closing up on them the more time had passed for them, and thus Fran felt that they had to make the first move before they catch them. He would need everyone’s help to make this operation a success and Lupin did not hesitate at all as he agreed to help him. Fran smiled as he thanked everyone for their help, but Cardia noticed that his smile seems forced.

The next night, Cardia was reviewing the emergency first aid methods and gun construction plan that both Fran and Van had taught her since she felt that she could be of help if she knew this knowledge, as they would help her to make calm decisions.  She looked out of the window and saw that Fran was in the yard, sitting there silently without moving. Cardia decided to join him, as there’s something she wanted to tell him.

When she approached Fran, he was surprised and almost dropped his book when he finally noticed Cardia was close to him. Fran gave a weak smile and said that he was deep in thought and didn’t realise that she was there. 

(Fran was surprised that Cardia was still studying late in the night, and worried that she would overwork herself. I wish someone would care for me like this too~ ^////^ Though I’m probably playing games late in the night rather than studying ^^;)

Suddenly, Cardia thanked Fran for thinking about everyone, since if his suggestion really worked out, it would guarantee safety for everyone, and then they would be able to continue on their search for Cardia’s father. But Fran showed a sad expression and said that he’s only doing this for his own safety actually. He doesn’t want to be thanked as he thought that he’s a terrible person. (Aww~ TWT)

Cardia doesn’t understand why he’s saying that and assured Fran that she had thought of him as a very respectable person since she really wants to make him smile seeing how sad he was. (I really like how these two seems to be supporting each other emotionally somehow~ ^/////^)

She started to give Fran lots of praises, saying that he’s very kind, considerate, smart and courageous. That finally made Fran showed a gentle smile as he had never heard anyone said that about him before. 

(It’s a beautiful expression, but it seems so sad at this moment as well T/////T)

In the end, Fran decided to call it a night, but he still stayed there, explaining that he still wants to sit here and think for a little longer. Cardia was still worried about him, but she knew that she should not step in any further to ask about the reason why he seems so sad, or what was he thinking... Thus she decided to stay with Fran and sit with him, even if she could not give any reason. 

(The last few moments of this scene is so cute seriously~)

After a period of time, Lupin announced that he had gotten the information he could gather for the plan. First, they would need to find a way to meet Queen Victoria if they want to negotiate with her. Cardia suggested on sending her a letter, but since the guys aren’t sure whether the letter would really get delivered to her (it might be intercepted by the messenger), they decide on another way to make themselves look strong., especially since what they would ultimately be doing was to blackmail her.

(Poor Lupin had been working overtime TWT)

So Lupin’s plan was to raid the palace and confront the Queen in person! That came as a shock to Impey as he remarked that Lupin was crazy to suggest that. However, Lupin was serious and even showed the blueprint of the palace for the rest of the group. He continued on talking about the plan and pointed out that they would be able to see her when she makes a public appearance during a knighting ceremony. There would be a large amount of the security at the event, and alot of the public would turn up to watch this ceremony. (It was also noted that Van was given the “Most Excellent Order” title at this event~)

Therefore, Lupin planned for the group to burst into the ceremony, and make the Queen promised in front of everyone that the government would not lay a finger on Fran and them anymore. Lupin was pleased with his plan and remarked that he wanted to make it a grand entrance to make everyone believe that Fran had a powerful back up +W+ He also planned to use the civilians attending the event as hostages, but Fran immediately rebutted that idea, telling him that they would become actual terrorists if they do that D: (Please don’t end up being actual criminals guys OWO”) Lupin grinned and assured Fran that he’s only doing it just to trick the Queen and “persuade” her to make their desired decision.

(Cardia is starting to doubt Lupin’s terms of “gentleman” ^^;)

The group planned to start this operation five days later, and thus started to prepare for the operation. First, they use an automobile to carry the Ornithopter into an alley near a hotel in the city for them to be used later in the plan. The Ornithopter would be used to help them land in front of Queen Victoria at the beginning of the ceremony. 

When the group began to depart for the hotel some distance from the palace, which they would stay on standby before the plan starts, Dracula was shocked that he was the only one requested to stay behind and asked to house-sit ^^; But reluctantly, he agreed to stay, since there’s no other place he could go either, and would take care of Sisi instead. Even though Cardia had the option to stay as well, she decided to go with the others since they had felt that her skills would be of good use during the plan and that she was also glad to be of help to the others. 

(Bye Bye Dora-chan, please be a good child at home~)

On the day of the plan, Cardia could hear fireworks going off while noticing Fran who was looking out of the window anxiously. It seems like the ceremony was about to start, and Fran was sure that he had to make this plan work, for everyone’s sake. Impey tried to make Fran more relaxed, and even Van voiced out that he would be coming along with Fran to help him. Cardia’s role was to stay here at the hotel and wait with Impey, as well as helping with the escape on the Ornithopter if anything happens. 

However, Lupin started to feel that something was weird since it had gotten really quiet at the hotel. There aren’t any footsteps above or below them, and it seems that they were the only ones alone in the hotel right now. 

(I’m the same as Impey, how could they even know all this just by noticing whether or not there are footsteps OWO”)

Suddenly, they heard a high-pitched mechanical squeal from outside, and soon Leonhardt’s voice rang through the hotel. He demanded the group to surrender and alarmed them to the fact that they were currently surrounded by two hundred soldiers. Saint guessed that the government must have known of their plan, which Lupin was surprised that he’s being traced since he was always so careful to cover up the traces. Van did not doubt Leonhardt’s words at all and felt that it would be trouble for them if they were really surrounded by two hundred soldiers. 

Fran announced that they would have to change their plans. He volunteered to draw the soldiers’ attention while the group get out of the hotel. If he gets caught by the army, Fran planned to tell them that he was the one who threatened the group to shelter him and act with him, so that they won’t be blamed and convicted of their actions. 

Even though Fran assured that he would be fine and he would negotiate after he had been captured...

(I just can’t let Fran sacrifice himself TWT)

When Cardia refused to let Fran sacrifice himself, Fran was shocked and remarked that this was the first time he had heard her raising her voice. The rest agreed with her too, with Van telling him that Twilight might come and snatched Fran away from the army too, and landing in Twilight’s hands would be bad news as they could hide Fran from the government and also torture him to extract information on Cardia’s whereabouts, so that might end up being bad news for the others instead.

Suddenly, Leonhardt’s voice rang once again, this time boasting that he’s going to revenge Lupin on what he had did last time. (It seems that Leonhardt was more upset about Lupin instead ^^;) Saint concluded that what they should do now was to make sure that none of them gets captured since if that happens, all of us will be placed at a risk as a consequence.

(Impey’s joke doesn’t go so well with Cardia ^^;)

Fran thanked everyone and decided that they shall just have to force their plan forward at this stage. They would split themselves into two teams - diversion team and negotiation team. The diversion team would aid to divert the enemy’s attention, while the negotiation team would take this chance to get through the guards towards the Ornithopter, which they would go straight towards the ceremony and barge in from the sky to speak with Victoria and start with the negotiation for their safety. He assured that he would help to get the diversion team out if they get caught. Even though this still sounds like a crazy plan to Impey, it’s the only choice they have right now. 

(Saint sounds overly positive about this situation ^^;)

Leonhardt got impatient since there had not been any movements from them and demanded once again for them to surrender. He obviously was pinpointing towards Lupin this time, that Lupin could sigh and wonder when did Leonhardt’s priority changes to capturing him instead ^^; 

As Van loaded his shotgun and was reaching to open the window, something flies into the room suddenly and broke the window. Cardia realised that tear gas started flowing through the entire room and the group quickly escaped from the room, but what waited for them outside the room were...

Lots and lots of soldiers! D: Lupin didn’t think that Leonhardt would be this efficient and turned out that he was right, the person who had planned for this was none other than Sholmes, who showed himself and thanked them for falling into his trap. Sholmes explained that he was hired by the government to assist them in the investigations, so that would mean that they were enemies now since Leonhardt had requested him to arrest both Fran and Lupin. Sholmes even helpfully explained how he had managed to predict Lupin’s moves based on his previous crimes, thanks to the large number of criminological statistics he had remembered in his brain. He dissed Lupin’s plan was lacking in originally as ultimately he viewed the “greatest thief of the century” as a criminal simply.

Van was about to shoot at Sholmes, but Fran grabbed the barrel and lowered it. Fran then stood forward and talked to Sholmes, telling him that he just can’t be caught at this moment. Sholmes told them that they won’t be able to escape, since all of the exits had been blocked, including the hallway, the hotel lobby and even the streets as well. Fran was not scared at all as he simply threw a test tube from his pocket at his own feet. That causes an explosion and opened up a hole in the floor as the group fell to a storey below them.

(Hehe, weirdly I’m enjoying this moment XD)

As the group ran towards the hotel’s exit, Lupin asked Fran whether what he had used just now was a bomb that explodes in direction of its impact and remarked that it would be a pretty handy gadget for him. 

(Saint looks like he’s enjoying this way too much, how can he remain so calm at this time? ^^;)

Lupin suggested that the group to continue with Fran’s plan, with him, Van and Saint being the diversion team and would handle the enemies around the hotel. (Van is suddenly not threatened by two hundred soldiers anymore OWO”) Cardia would be going with Fran, which Saint remarked that he was surprised that she agreed since he had expected that she would stay behind. 

However, their conversation was stopped suddenly due to the appearance of Twilight, who started to attack them. Van quickly defended and guessed that Twilight would have easily found out where they were by tracing the police and military. As Van was about to attack Twilight, Saint stepped forward and stopped him, saying calmly that he would take over instead. He told the others to go ahead since Van would be required to stop the army’s soldiers instead. Even though Cardia was worried about Saint, Van assured her that he would be alright since he could tell that Saint was actually highly skilled OWO” (When can we actually see Saint in actual combat though?)

The group finally reached where they had concealed the Ornithopter, and...

Met up with tons of soldiers again. (Seems like Sholmes had seen through this part of their plans yet again D:) Leonhardt finally showed himself and told Lupin to surrender. He didn’t even mention about Fran though... ^^;

(Lupin dissed exactly what I had in mind at this moment XD)

Impey was anxious and wondered what they should do, but Van was calmed as he told them that they could only do one thing since the enemies had already seen through their plans, and that would be to... defeat them by force!

(Yes, even though Van was considered a hero, he seems just like a bad guy here, which is soooo cool~! +W+)

Van shot at the army and managed to clear a path, urging the remaining of the group to run for the Ornithopter. Fran took Cardia’s hand (>////<) and together with Impey, three of them managed to get onto the Ornithopter in the end. Leonhardt did not want them to get away though and grabbed onto the side of the Ornithopter as it lifted off. The Ornithopter started to lose balance, and thus Fran had to put Leonhardt to sleep to get him off the Ornithopter, by hitting his face with a test tube ^^; Poor Leonhardt fell to sleep and fall off from the Ornithopter onto the ground (Hope he didn’t injure himself while doing that, yikes D:)

(Yeah~! Finally, they managed to head off in the end~! ^^)

As he drove the Ornithopter, Impey proudly declared that he had upgraded it to have the horsepower to carry three people compared to before. However, a military airship showed up before them in the sky and started to shoot at them. Fran was sure that the ship was Twilight’s work to prevent them from meeting the Queen, and it was without the government’s direction since they would definitely find it too dangerous to shoot at them in London where there are lots of normal civilians on the ground below. This was the time for Impey to get it together and get them through the attacks and to the Knighting Ceremony.

(Even though Fran’s pleading doesn’t work, Cardia’s works magic +W+)

Impey managed to get the group over the palace and down they crashed into the middle of the knighting ceremony.

The civilians attending the Knighting ceremony quickly noticed that Fran was there. Cardia noticed that there’s a woman standing on a stage in front them, and she was surrounded by soldiers. The woman smiled, but at the same time, she radiated so much power that Cardia could even feel that tension in the air was almost palpable. 

(Impey was pretty much sick of them facing large troops of soldiers yet again by now =w=“)

Fran wasn’t scared though and took a step towards the Queen with a determined look. He bellowed at the soldiers, warning them that it would not be wise to shoot him. Cardia noticed that he was very serious, and even his gaze was coldhearted, which was definitely not like his usual self. If Cardia had not known about Fran was like usually, she would even believe that he is an actual terrorist right now D:

Fran announced that he had planted bombs all around the ceremonial grounds, and in his hand was a radio switch that controlled their detonation. Impey noticed that the switch was a toy that Fran had requested him to make for him earlier on, and knew that the switch actually doesn’t do anything. Cardia listened to Impey’s whispers and began to worry, since if the lie was seen through, she was sure that they would end up being executed. He requested to have a word with the Queen alone, wanting the guards to stand at a distance away from them instead. 

The Queen agreed, saying that she doesn’t want to land her citizens in danger, and thus the guards retreated to a distance away, leaving just Cardia and Impey being the only ones near enough to overhear their conversation.

Queen Victoria seems really relaxed as she asked Fran when had she last met him, and that was two years ago. She smiled and remarked that she was delighted to see Fran trying so hard, and talked about how he had respected her alot two years ago, and the current him was just a spoiled puppy that won’t do what was being told. Fran was pissed and asked her how could she say that so casually after doing what she had done in the past.

Moving on, Fran told the Queen that he’s here to negotiate with her. He wanted the Queen to retracted his wanted status, guarantee his safety from now on, and also to grant him pardon for what he was doing now as well. However, the Queen was not threatened at all and told Fran that she would forgive him if he agreed to work for Britain again. But Fran was stern as he vowed to never assist the Queen again in her ambitions and thus the Queen calmly told him that the negotiation was off and he would have to die with his companions. 

Fran started to bellow at the Queen that she doesn’t have power in this situation and it was him instead. He told her that he’s prepared to release the secrets that she desired to other countries, revealing that he had given copies of this information to a number of compatriots who would release them if anything were to happen to him. Victoria started to get more interested and wondered whether it was due to the influences of his friend that changed him.

The Queen looked over at Cardia and asked Fran whether she was his friend too, remarking that she found Cardia had a very similar feel to Finis. That caused a reaction from Fran, which was caught by the Queen as she expressed a strong interest in Cardia instead. She told Cardia that she would want to keep her if she’s related Finis’s secret, and Impey immediately stood in front of Cardia protectively. (I think this is the only moment up to now that I actually felt Impey can be kind of manly XD)

Fran spoke to the Queen once again, warning her that he could easily burn up this entire place, but the Queen was stern and told Fran that she knew that this was a lie, saying that he can’t trick her with just a toy like that. Fran showed a surprise face, which the Queen observed and knew that she was right. That made the situation really bad for Cardia’s side D:

The Queen dissed that Fran was no good when it comes to negotiation since she’s good at it is in the politics, telling him to focus on doing research instead as a scientist. However, Fran doesn’t back down and showed a serious look instead, while Impey stepped back with Cardia.

Fran silently took out a single test tube and threatened the Queen that if he dropped this liquid explosive onto the ground, it would cause an impact that both the Queen and him would both die. 

(Cardia could see that Fran was serious about this... Oh no D:)

Worrying about Fran, Cardia broke free of Impey’s grasp and ran towards him, which gave Fran a shock as he told Cardia to get away from him. But Cardia was stern and told Fran that this isn’t the right thing to do since no one would want him to sacrifice himself. Even though Cardia was still worried about Fran’s feelings, she felt that part of her mind was calm and could understand about the current situation. What they could have now as the last bargaining chip was Fran’s information, which Fran had threatened that he would release it to other countries, but it was a lie which Cardia was worried whether the Queen would look through that as well...

But, suddenly, the Queen sighed and told Fran that she’s satisfied when she knew that Fran would definitely not become an enemy of the state. She doesn’t know whether Fran was lying about whether he would release the confidential information, but she knew that if that really happens, Britain would be over. She decided to let him off, wondering why had he decided to stay in London since he could have easily fled the country long ago, and knew that staying behind to help his comrades isn’t his only reason in doing this. Fran remained silent and stared at the Queen instead, and thus the Queen left leaving a warning to him, telling him that she would be keeping an eye on him, and he better not cross her ever again. 

The Queen announced to the public that the charges placed against Fran were all false accusations, and thus she shall proclaim his innocence and guarantee his safety. She was stern as she claimed that anyone who dared to harm him or his companions without her consent would be considered an enemy of the country. 

With that, the incident finally came to a close and the group gathered once again back at the mansion, even holding the party that had been put on hold ^^ Saint thought back to how they had gone through with such a reckless plan even though he knew that they had no choice at that time. 

Saint remarked that the members of Twilight were really going for the kill when they attacked him, while Van wasn’t pleased that Lupin had come to help him, saying that he could continue to fight them (but Lupin knew that Van was running out of ammo at that time XD). Cardia told the others that Fran was really courageous and was amazing at that time, while Fran gave a weak smile and revealed that he was actually so nervous to the point that he can’t even remember what had really happened at that time. Cardia remembered that Fran was different when he came face-to-face with the Queen and wasn’t like the usual kind Fran she had known. She went quiet as she remembered how angry and sad Fran seems to be at that time, which Fran noticed and asked her why she had suddenly become silent.

Impey decided to bring up the mood again and announced that Dracula had come to join them at the party, which was really rare. Dracula blushed and said that he’s only here as it was his responsibility to care for Sisi and to ensure that he has food. 

(Yeah~ I get to see Dora-chan’s cute blushing face again~ ^^)

Cardia laughed as she noticed how similar Sisi and Dracula were when they eat and looked over at Fran. She asked him whether they could relax a little since they’re now officially protected by the order of the government, but Fran said that they still have to remain defensive since he doesn’t know when the government might turn their backs on them again. Also, Fran highly doubted that Twilight would give up on capturing Cardia, but Lupin assured him that Twilight doesn’t know where the mansion is so they won’t be able to trace them here. 

Therefore, the group finally get to focus their search for Isaac (Cardia’s father if anyone had forgotten ^^;), to which Fran told them that he actually has a promising lead. 

(Haha, when are we going to ever find Isaac? XD)

Suddenly, the group stopped talking as they were shocked to hear the doll bell rang. Fran was sure that this visitor was definitely some sort of uninvited guest, and that guest was none other than...

Sholmes~! (It’s kind of expected for him since he could easily trace them down... ^^;) He saw that the group was in the midst of a celebration and felt that he had appeared at the right time, while Lupin was shocked to see his appearance and wondered whether Sholmes had come to capture them. Sholmes assured them that he would not do that as he prefers to keep his work and private life separated, saying that since they were no longer criminals, he won’t have to arrest them anymore. 

(Weird that Sholmes came all this way just to say this... o.O)

Sholmes revealed that the Queen was openly chastising Twilight, even though this won’t be publicized, since Twilight had caused damage to London when trying to shoot Cardia and the others down, and that had angered the Queen enough to restrict Twilight’s activities for quite some time. However, Sholmes was certain that Twilight would still continue with their activities, just that they would be more subtle about it so as to avoid being tracked down by the government. 

(Van, you don’t sound embarrassed when you heard about this news XD) 

Lupin demanded to know how Sholmes had managed to find this mansion as he was very sure that he covered up his tracks. But Sholmes coolly answered that Lupin had actually left traces everywhere for him to trace XD Saint decided to invite Sholmes to the party instead, though in exchange he had to keep the location of the mansion a secret, which sounds like a bribe, Sholmes took it anyway XD

(It was all too easy that Lupin just had to diss XD)

Seeing at how Fran was laughing and no longer has the frightening seriousness or dangerous aura like how he had confronted the Queen, Cardia decided to relax and enjoy this very moment at the party with everyone else.

(Saint was very interested and wanted to visit them again, but Lupin shooed him off instead ^^; Poor Sholmes was very unwelcome here I guess ^^;)

yes, mako knows haru well, but it's also true that he is good at reading people in general, not just haru. of course, haru is the person he can read most of all, but makoto can also read others.

wooooow that little part with haru taking off his swimcap and shaking his head as sparkling drops of water fall around him was one of the most magical moments of my life and i will cherish it forever.

i literally laughed out loud at the timing of haru (and rin) walking into the room. haru, you should have come in just a little bit earlier and then you would have heard what was just said about you that you weren't supposed to hear!! lol!!!

ummm okay, that's it. the episode's over... i am sad because that was a fun episode to watch. i really liked it, and that's because this episode had a lot of makoto in it, so of course i'm going to like that. XD and i just loved seeing makoto discover some of his own strengths. he even figured out his new dream at the end. he's just so special!!!! he is someone who has a positive impact on other people around him, and that is so clearly seen. it makes a lot of sense that he wants to be a trainer. he knows how to bring out the potential in others, because he can understand their feelings and figure out the best way to challenge them and encourage them.

oh, and... as of now, it is a real, true, canon fact that makoto is good at massages, which is yet another thing that makes him more perfect. <333333 this is really important to me. no seriously, this is something that matters to me a lot. this is like if the writers had thought, "hmm. what can we make makoto do that would be the #1 most amazing wonderful thing that sachi-pon would love???" it's like they read my mind and are trying to appeal specifically to me!!! ^___^ this is exactly what i would have thought of... uh... i mean... already thought of. okay, i thought about this a long time ago. >///////< but now this has gone beyond my fangirl fantasy and is a real thing that exists in the actual show. XDDDD hooray!!!!!! *waves pom-poms like a cheerleader* now all i need is a scene of makoto using his massage skills on you-know-who, and i'll be fine. ^__^

yes, i do have a problem with being too addicted to makoto. no, i do not intend to see a doctor. i intend to live with this problem forever. <3

wait... were there other people in this episode too? i forgot about everyone else besides makoto. uh, oh yeah. there was haru. he was so sad after the loss, but i think he's starting to feel better now, so that's good. i was getting worried when he wasn't texting makoto. =( don't do that anymore, haru!!! ;__;

also, there was rin, and later, makoto, finding out about sousuke's surgery. both of them had such excited reactions!!! and yes, rin, you cried, admit it!!! (haha) but yeah, it just shows how much those two care about sousuke. i loved those moments!!!

i am so happy for the big reunion in the next episode. i think it's going to be a little crazy, but definitely a lot of fun!! and of course, rin and haru's big showdown. who will win?!?!?!? also, what about the mysterious alien god????? how can anyone defeat him? the only way to defeat him is for haru to... TURN INTO A MERMAN!!!!!!!!!! (yes, i am still talking about merman throughout this whole season)

Supernatural!Bang Chan

So, I decided to start a new series of of supernatural!Stray Kids, yay! I was gonna do a soulmate one but I just finished a series about a boarding school with tons of supernatural beings so this is sorta gonna be interesting.. btw the series I was reading is called Shadow Falls-definitely check it out if you enjoy reading and love triangles (which I usually hate). And sorry in advance if some of my ideas are similar to the ones in Shadow Falls - but like there are only so many things you can do with the same types. 

Also, these scenarios are going to take place in boarding school for mythical creatures cuz I find that more interesting XD 

Another note, I was gonna write these in like bullet form or 3rd person, but I started to do that and realized-hey, I can’t write in 3rd person to save my life. :(

P.S. I don’t edit my work so... beware

The screeching bell rang through the hallways, creating rough murmurs of all of the students. Being as different as we are, we’re still like normal teens, mumbling insults under our breath. 

“Ugh, seriously, why haven’t they changed the bells yet? Everyone knows vamps have sensitive hearing.” An older vampire girl had questioned. I had only been at this school for a couple of weeks, but I could help but notice how all of the same types of beings stuck together: faes with faes, weres with weres, vampires with vampires, etc. And it sucked because despite knowing my powers, I was half vampire and half werewolf - almost a forbidden mix. 

Everyone knew werewolves and vampires hated each other; they were forced to play nice in the school, but were always hostile towards each other. There was one mixed vampire and werewolf in the school, but she was a teacher, so no one poked fun at her. Obviously I didn’t have a group to run to, I couldn’t hang with the weres without being called a blood sucker and I couldn’t go to the vampires without being called a filthy mutt. 

As I said before, it was only 2 weeks since I learned of my abilities, but I hated them every day. 

As usual, I got caught up in daydreaming what it would be like to run through the open fields of my old house again and accidentally stumbled over the vampire girl. She gasped, can you say overdramatic much?

“Sorry,” I mumbled, not wanting to draw attention to myself. Luckily, she let it go, whispering “filthy dog” as I passed her. I scurried out of the history of vampires class and happily jogged to my dorm room, who I shared with a fae girl. 

Luckily for me, faes didn’t really care about the whole werewolf/vampire rivalry, faes had their own rivals - witches, though that rivalry wasn’t as bad as the first. 

“Hey Joohyun,” I said as I entered. She smiled and nodded to me. Joohyun was a pretty good roommate, she was quiet, clean, a good chef, and she didn’t make fun of me. I could see us being friends, you know, if she ever talked to me, hence the quietness.

She was a few years older, so she didn’t have as many classes as I did. 

We sat in silence for a few hours until she tapped me lightly on the shoulder. I flinched and then jumped out of my chair, due to my quick reflexes. Though, I immediately relaxed as I saw a scared Joohyun in front of me. 

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. I just-I don’t know.” I stumbled over my words. She shook her head and laughed nervously.

“No it’s fine. I should’ve known that you would’ve gotten worked up.” She patted me on the shoulder awkwardly. “So you know, it’s your first month here and I know it’s hard adjusting since you’re...mixed and stuff so I wanted to ask if you wanted to come to this party with me?” I immediately started to form the word “no” but Joohyun started to throw out her fae convincing skills. Faes had the ability of charm and even when they turned it off, it still shined through with their natural skills. 

“C’mon y/n, you’ve been doing nothing socially active for the past couple of weeks, go out and have fun. I swear this school isn’t as bad as you think, it’s only those wolves and vamps who are all uptight, the rest of us aren’t so bad.” I still was uncertain. She pulled out her pretty puppy eyes and laid her arm on my shoulder. I could feel her altering my emotions.

“Please? I don’t wanna go alone and I wanna introduce you to some of the faes and some other kinds. You don’t need to mingle with the weres and vamps if you don’t want to. We really don’t care how you’re mixed.” I sighed, knowing I had nothing better to do anyways. 

“Fine, I’ll go lemme just throw on... some clothes.” I gestured to my gingerbread pjs. She smiled.

Unfortunately and regretfully, I found myself standing in front of... nothing. 

“Joohyun, what the hell is this?” I half-shouted, looking at nothing but trees and dirt in front of me. She chuckled. “I swear if you lured me out here to kill me, I will-” Joohyun just laughed.

“Kangaroos.” She randomly said. What the fuck?

Suddenly, I felt myself being pulled into some kind of vertex and ended up having to cover my ears because of the booming music and loud chatter. 

“A portal with a mist over it, created by my good friend who’s very powerful witch.” God, I was never gonna get used to this magic stuff. 

“Hey Joohyun!” A guy appeared, hugging Joohyun tightly enough that they weren’t awkward, but not overly romantic. “Glad you could make it, sis.” Wait, sis?

“Wait, you have a brother?” Suddenly, the boy looked at me, as if he noticed my presence. 

Once he turned towards me, I immediately recognized him. I had never talked to him, but I always heard him talking. He was quite the social butterfly; always talked about, always desired by the girls, and highly regarded in the student body of the school. I recognized the guy as fae, just like Joohyun. 

“Oh, hey, sorry, didn’t see you there. Plus, I didn’t think my sister would bring a friend. She’s the quiet type but she’s pretty so boys love her.” He joked, I think. Joohyun hit him on the arm, but she had a calm smile. 

“Yeah we’re siblings-” The boy cut her off.

“No one really knows cuz my sister over here never talks and here I am chatting up a storm with girls falling at my feet and teachers to their knees.” I laughed politely but I was still overwhelmed by the atmosphere. Joohyun sighed.

“Yes, please meet Chan, my baby brother, sadly. And I don’t tell many people cuz most people don’t believe me or try to befriend me to get to him.” Chan laughed, his dimples showing and all. I blushed at my thoughts, wondering how I could feel something for someone so fast. 

“Oh please, don’t flatter me.” He extended his hand to me. “So I’m Chan, host of this banging party, and you are?” Oh shit, I almost forgot to introduce myself. 

“Oh, yeah, um, I’m y/n, I just moved here like two weeks ago.” I added with an awkward smile. His eyes got brighter with realization. My palms started to sweat, and not from heat. 

“Oh my gosh, are you that new girl? Vamp and werewolf, the most interesting combo.” At that remark, Joohyun hit her brother, now with a frown. 

“You don’t need to stick around for my rude brother, let’s go meet some nice people.” Joohyun took my hand as she guided me through the crowd. 

I clumsily bumped into a couple making out, toughing each other where people should only be touched with doors closed. The two vamps hissed at me but I didn’t stick around. 

Soon, Joohyun found what she was looking for and stopped. 

“Joohyun!” The group exclaimed.I sniffed them out, most of them fae except for the few exceptions of a shape shifter and warlock in the mix. 

“So this must be your new roomie, the girl who caused quite the ruckus at our quiet school.” The girl shook my hand. “I’m Jimin, I’m a fae.”

“y/n, and I can tell.” I added, vampires and werewolves always could sniff out types easier than the others. They all laughed at my not so funny joke. 

“We know who you are. I gotta say, you brought excitement y/n. Most of us have known each other for a while, so you’re new blood, which excites and terrifies us.” I chuckled nervously at her statement. 

“Well, sorry to disappoint, but I’m not a very interesting person.” They laughed and soon the party kicked up a notch and people started to get drunker and drunker as the night went on. I stayed in the small group of faes who happened to be nicer than expected. Someone had put a drink in my hand, but I refused to drink it - I’m smarter than that.

“Yo yo yo, hold up, hold up.” A screech echoed through the air, making everyone cover their ears. “Ayo, I have something to say.” All the students made their attention towards the handsome, but obviously drunk werewolf who made his way to the mic. 

Out of instinct, my heart started to beat faster and I grew anxious for no reason; I just had a bad feeling. 

“Well say it fast Sejoon or get off the stage!” Chan yelled. His eyes were bright and glazed over from drinking, but also, he was curious to see what Sejoon would say. Sejoon cackled into the mic, making me flinch.

“Well, to be quick, my kind’s feud with the vampires have stemmed over centuries, stemming from our founding fathers, and yet, a little girl has come to mess it all up.” I gulped, feeling chatter erupt. “I have been at this school for 10 years, not once I had a problem with it. And I, as the good person I am, never cause serious trouble with a vampire or lash out, but today my friends, today is the day I lay down my foot.” He stopped and threw his glass on the ground. 

“And I know she’s here tonight! I saw her! You!” My heart stopped as he pointed at me. Everyone’s heads, in an instant, snapped at me. 

“y/n, the bloodsucker and who tainted our line! You dare come here?” He laughed as I felt shame wash over me. “You’re a werewolf and a vamp, but you exude no confidence in yourself despite being two of the cockiest kinds.” I suddenly grew scared of the other vamps and weres in the room who were eyeing me like some kind of prize, though I felt bittersweet with the other types who sent me sympathetic stares. “Pathetic you are just a pathetic little-” Suddenly the mic screeched again, throwing everyone’s heads down. 

“Get off of me you fairy!” I looked up at those words and saw Chan wrestling the drunk were for the mic. 

“Get off my stage you asshole! This is my party and it’s welcome for all kinds!” Chan yelled, using his strength to push poor Sejoon on the ground. 

“Hey! You little bitch, you think you can mess with the weres? We’re ten times stronger than any fae!” An arrogant were had yelled. Chan, despite probably being weaker, laughed. 

“Oh yeah? Well here’s this dumbass, I have an army of friends to protect me, will your pack do the same?” The were growled at the threat of his pack, loyalty meant everything to a wolf. The wolf lunged at Chan, but he swiftly avoided it and glared at him. 

“Well, now that that’s done, no more fighting at my party or I’ll have Kasey zap you all with her spell, mmkay?” He walked off the stage, exuding charisma I’ve only dreamed of having. 

Suddenly, the music played again and everything was right. I guess people get over fights quickly here. 

“Hey, you alright?” I heard a charming voice say behind me. I whipped around and saw Chan staring at me with dark brown eyes. I gulped. 

“Hm oh that? Yeah, I’m used to it now.” I lied. He looked serious, not like his usual expression, and took my wrist. 

“Follow me.” I felt compelled to follow him and suddenly we were in his room. I snapped out of his compulsion and flew against the wall.

“Please don’t touch me! I’m not ready and I barely know you!” I rambled on, hoping I didn’t have to test out my new powers.

“y/n, y/n, calm down. I didn’t bring you up here for that!” He yelled over me. I opened my eyes. 

“You didn’t?” 

“No, and if I did, closing your eyes and praying wouldn’t be a good option. You should try like, idk, attacking them.” He added. I took a deep breath and calmed down. I could feel anger still radiating off of him in waves from the recent fight.

“Yeah, sorry, um, that was wrong to assume of you. um, but why am I up here?” I gently asked. He turned around, making me swoon with his dark gaze, differing from his usual kind eyes.

“I just wanted to apologize in a quiet environment. I was rude to you when I first met you, I totally forgot about how it would be totally annoying for people to talk about you being mixed vamp and were, it must get troubling.” I nodded.

“Understatement of the year dude. I just started to show signs like a month ago and then my parents, human ones, shipping me here on regards to my school counselor, who, of course, happened to be a witch.” He chuckled, finally showing the true Chan everyone knew. “The others are nice, though I never belonged anywhere in the human world, and now not even the supernatural one? Sucks balls.” I cursed. He let out a loud chuckled.

“Golly, never thought I would hear that leave your mouth.” I snorted.

“Well, you don’t really know me.” We stood in silence for a moment.

“You’re right, but that’s what’s intriguing. You’re different you know? You’re kind of scared, anxious, always on edge at school, kinda wimpy for a werewolf and vampire.” I glared.

“Oh wow, be still my beating heart.” I joked. He smiled, showing those dimples that made my heart pound. 

“It’s kinda of refreshing, plus you showed up to my party wearing a hoodie and sweats, who are you?” I shrugged.

“I didn’t bring party clothes... and I hate jeans, too confined. Must be the dog in me.” He laughed and ruffled his curly blonde hair. I shuffled my feet. 

“So, you’re Joohyun’s brother?” I mentioned casually. He nodded and I saw his eyes light up, which made me all coo from him loving his sister. 

“Yup, one and only. I give her a rough time, so I would ask of you to try and ease up on her.” I smiled.

“You’re not too bad. I guess I should thank you for defending me out there. No one else would have.” He looked as if he were going to say something, but then backed out.

“You’re half right, most people wouldn’t have. But I’m sure no one would let you get hurt, it’s a rule here, defend when thy bully is acting out.” I rolled my eyes. 

“Guess we have to exterminate all the weres and vamps.” I joked, he laughed too. 

“Don’t worry, I’m sure Joohyun will protect you... Well sorta, she has the gift of healing, so if you get beat up, she can help.” I laughed. 

“Wow, I feel so safe now.” I half joked, I guess everyone here has something to offer. His eyes turned darker, but still smiling, somewhat flirty, I think? 

“And I’m here too.” I raised a brow. 

“What?” He sighed. 

“I’m here to protect you too. Faeries don’t just sit around in tutus and flirt with everyone who walks.” I shrugged.

“I don’t know, you’re quite the charmer, I’ve heard.” He turned his head away while scratching his neck. And, was he blushing? Oh my gosh, now I’m blushing.

“Not really, I guess I’m social, I don’t mean to flirt, it’s just the fae in me.” He shrugged, but I grinned as his shyness. 

“Hey buddy, don’t sell yourself short. You’ve got the looks, the charm, and the style, who couldn’t love you?” He gave me a stare that made me feel melt to the floor. 

“You think I’ve got the looks?” He gave me a flirty grin that I couldn’t help but chuckle. I then opened the door, and was embraced by the booming music. 

“Ok bud, we’ve spent enough time in here. People might think we’re doing something.” He stared at me innocently. 

“Hm, but could we?” He asked while shutting the door and pressing me against it. I immediately pushed him off and he went flying. I wanted to look shocked but all I felt was smug. 

“Nice try Chan, but you’re gonna have to try harder than that.” He bounced up and looked at me with a newfound respect in his eyes.

“Woah, you got like ten times hotter when you threw me across my room.” I laughed and so did he. I coughed to break the tension.

“Well, time for me to go.” He smiled. 

“I’ll see you again, right?” I gave him a lopsided grin.

“Well, your sister is my roommate, unfortunately.” He smiled, looking more and more enticing as I stared. I quickly turned around and made my way out.

“Ok, later fairy boy.” But I already knew my time here wouldn’t be as bad as I thought it would.

I know I write too much and that’s one of my weaknesses, my apologies for anyone who actually read this lol. Happy new years eve and I’m shaking just thinking about school. 

and so how this supernatural au is gonna work is basically the boys won’t necessarily be the same, but I’m not gonna make them all faeries cuz that’s too much.
