Kobold Shows

An inspiration particle hit my dumbass brain and generated this Idea™️ which means you have to read this.

They're like a dog show, but dragons (and adventurers) bring their kobold in. You can enter yourself if you want to, but it really helps to have a coach.

There's an Agility course, but also Combat and Trapmaking contests. A crowd favourite is the Hoarding event, where the kobold is let loose to complete a scavenger hunt under time pressure. There's shiny-looking but ultimately worthless decoy loot, cumbersome loot, hard-to-reach loot, so there's all kinds of strategies ranging from "Grab everything and win on quantity", "Appraise items quickly and make few, high-value looting trips," and even "Quickly construct a wheelbarrow to gather loot and a pogo stick to reach high-up loot".

Earplugs are recommended for the "Loudest Yip" event, but don't forget the "Softest Yip", very competitive scene there.

All kindsa kobolds enter the best-in-breed events, fluffbolds, floppabolds, dogbolds, candlebolds, seabolds, chromaticbolds, gembolds..

Dragons looking over and examining the kobolds for their qualities, rating tail length, crest hue, jaw strength.. and oh my word the dragon politics behind the scenes!

updated post! western north carolina is very much still recovering from the effects of hurricane helene, we’re almost five months past when the hurricane hit at this point and there’s still roads in my area that only reopened for the first time last week, there’s still roads with mud caked along the sides that somehow still hasn’t washed away yet, there’s still debris stuck in the trees and along the riverbanks, still abandoned cars trapped in mud. and while a lot of areas that weren’t hit quite as hard have been able to mostly return to “normal” the landscape is forever changed, and so many people lost their homes and jobs and livelihoods. we’ve come a long way these past few months, but there’s still a long way to go.

so here are some mutual aid collectives to check out if you want to continue to help aid in our recovery!

interesting thing about tubbo fighting sapnap in creator clash 3 that I’ve been thinking about

i think it’s really weird how they let sap ‘mcc anger issues’ nap even enter an event like this, let alone fight tubbo, the guy that clowned on his bestie for being a fucking idiot. and how the people officiating creator clash let him request to fight tubbo in particular. and how sap ‘anger management issues’ nap still openly admitted that he requested to fight tubbo so he could fight someone he actually wanted to hurt. and they’re still letting him fight tubbo

and on top of it all, isn’t creator clash a mostly friendly event meant for charity??? as in, the people fighting are fighting to win money for charity??? not to beat up some guy that they have beef with because he called out their groomer freak housemate???

idk, i hope tubbo wins cause he deserves it, but still the things leading up to their fight becoming a thing rub me the wrong way and are kind of weird on creator clash’s behalf for allowing
