Actually you know what? I am going to expand on my last post. I’m still pissed. Let ye who read this take it as a warning not to work with horses in a new age-y hipster area:

My job, at 7:30 am, is to ready the horses and take them all out to their daytime play areas. I take them two at a time because should any silliness befall us, I can handle two horses at a time MOST of the time. Like, 99%. We have a good bond and they like listening to the person who feeds them, so this is almost never an issue. As are horses, though, there’s always an exception.

This morning I went to grab a horse I’ll call Phil. Phil is, in human years, roughly 55 and a little after his prime but still a pure blooded, fucking gigantic, German sport horse. Phil and I are good friends most days, and I enjoy his company as he tends to be a goofball, but he can also be a fucking dick. (He once stole my glove whist it was -5 and I was fixing his water, ran away, and then shit on it.) Today, I could tell he was feeling like a dick, but usually he acts out and then gives me the sad eyes after I’ve angry mom voiced him. Today… was not like that. I take Phil out, with his boyfriend (the cutest pony) when Phil fucking freaks. He takes off, I drop the pony’s lead rope to grab Phil’s with both hands, and Phil takes me on a multi-minute gravel road ski trip. My heels were planted and my weight was back, and Phil took the fuck off. I’m sure there were sparks flying from my feet. I surely lost inches off my sole. The pony put himself in timeout, recognizing that he did not want any part of whatever the hell Phil was up to, because he is a perfect citizen.

Phil, meanwhile, is starting to rear and kick and hop. This has never happened before. I’ve dealt with my fair share of unhinged, angry and even dangerous horses, but I’ve always known this before hand and been prepared. Phil has never been any of those things, just a little hot headed and anxious. (I know any horse has the potential to be dangerous, of course, but that isn’t something that I think of when in the same routine day after day after 6 years of working with the same horses.) So. Phil strikes out at me, and I’ve had enough. I manage to get him to the entrance of his turn out area through a mixture of years of knowing him and manipulation techniques, but I know if I take his halter off standing by the gate he’s 100% going to kick me.

So. I close the gate, and given his gigantic stature, I go to pull his halter off over the top of the gate. Seeing how I’m slightly off balance, he rears again, and turns to yank the lead rope.

This results in me smashing into the gate with such force that my feet leave the ground and my solar plexus smashes into his halter holder so hard I nearly puke. When he comes back down, I grab his halter and he takes off so hard that I’ve got a chunk of his forelock in my hand, a giant bruise on my chest, arms that must have been yanked out of their sockets 40 times, and so much anger at his audacity that I call his mother.

Now. The trick to dealing with older white women who love their horses is to always make it seem like you’re coming from a place of concern.

I say, so calm, “I’m worried about Phil. He never acts like this.” Because… it’s true! He doesn’t, and I am.

This is where my morning takes a turn. After asking if I am okay, she says that I must send her a text listing my grievances with Phil (the horse) so she can send them to Phil’s therapist. Phil’s therapist is an animal communicator that he sees once a month. So, i am to send her my grievances for the horse therapist to ask the horse what his deal is. Get his side of the story.

Okay. Strange, but okay.

I send her my heavily edited grievances. I cannot tell this woman that I now hate her horse. It’s fine. We will get over it later.

I then get a call back from her, saying that Phil’s therapist has some questions “from Phil.” Great! Let’s rock.

“Phil wants to know why he should listen to you,” Phil’s mom says, and I nearly exit the mortal coil. After a deep breathing exercise, I answer, “because I have Phil’s health and safety in mind. And thumbs.”

“Hmm. Yes. I hear you, but Phil is unconvinced,” she says down the phone, and I am not ashamed to tell you I flipped Phil off in that moment and mouthed “fuck you,” for good measure. He didn’t tattle on me to his therapist.

The phone call wrapped up and I was left with the realization that I had just had an argument with a horse through a medium. We were mediated by a medium.

Fuck you, Phil.

Additionally, the Rangers have reassigned goaltenders Olof Lindbom and Talyn Boyko to the Wolf Pack from the Cyclones. Panwar, 22, appeared in 64 games with the Cyclones as a rookie. The Stronsay Beast [modern cryptid; globster]

In September of 1808, a strange marine creature washed ashore on a beach of Stronsay in the Scottish Orkney Islands (at the time, the island was called Stronsa). It resembled no known animal, having six arms, paws or wings, which were about 4.5 feet (1.4m) long and resembled plucked goose wings. When the news reached universities and scientific institutions, anatomists were called upon to visit the carcass and find out what kind of animal it was. Unfortunately, by the time these scientific men reached the ‘Stronsay Beast’ – as people had taken to calling it – the corpse was decomposed and weathered beyond repair. Few biological traits remained recognizable, so eyewitnesses were called upon to describe what the creature had looked like.

According to these eyewitness reports, the creature was about 55 feet (16.8m) long when it washed ashore and had a long and thin neck. At the end of the tail was something resembling an ear.

Scientists were puzzled, and some were of the opinion that this creature must have been a sea serpent, whose existence was considered plausible by many at the time. Spearheading them was John Barclay, a respected professor in anatomy at Edinburgh University who adamantly claimed that the carcass was the first solid evidence of the existence of giant sea serpents. His opinion was opposed by Everard Home, sergeant-surgeon and lecturer in surgery and anatomy at London’s Royal College of Surgeons. He did not believe in great sea snakes and claimed that the ‘beast’ was simply the torn and shredded carcass of a basking shark. He dismissed the eyewitnesses as unscientific and relied only on the shape of the bones that were found within the corpse.

During the discussions on the nature of the beast, reverend Donald Maclean entered the stage and claimed to have seen the creature alive in June, several months before it washed ashore, near the coast of the island Coll. The reverend claimed that the creature had a small neck with a broad, somewhat oval-shaped head that looked at his ship. Alarmed by the approaching animal, the boat was steered towards the shore. Eventually, the water became too shallow for the large creature and it returned to the open waters. The reverend also estimated that the creature was about 70 to 80 feet long (21 to 24m), which is much larger than the corpse on the beach. Additionally, he claimed to have questioned the crews of several fishing vessels that supposedly also encountered the creature. According to these reports, the monster had a head as big as a small boat with big eyes as large as plates. Although it looked terrifying, the creature did not attack.

Eventually, belief in the existence of giant sea snakes died out (at least within the scientific community) and Barclay’s conclusion was no longer taken seriously. Today, biologists agree with Home that the creature must have been a dead basking shark, or rather the damaged remains of one.

I talked in another post about the decision to give Elizabeth Felicity's Beforever meet dress and move her meet dress to go with other party clothes, but the long and short of it is that, like the other Best Friend dolls, Elizabeth's collection is smaller than the number of outfits in the pattern I've been following, so I gave her several of the dresses that I hadn't used for Felicity. I also used photos of costume hobbyists and employees at Colonial Williamsburg to fill out her collection.

There's a significant shift in the silhouette during this decade. Skirts are getting narrower, hairstyles and hats are getting larger, and casual styles like the round gown are starting to come into vogue. Rachel, my OC representing the Jewish community of Rhode Island, and her best friend Abigail, are most often dressed in simple, high-waisted gowns with colorful sashes. Their formal dresses are white with pink or blue sashes, a common style for girls of all ages and for very small boys--both colors were popular for either gender.

When we talk about a company like AG trying to correct for its lack of representation for any marginalized American population, it can be understandable and simultaneously frustrating for the one example to focus on a major turning point in that population's history. Addy and Rebecca are similar in that way: on the one hand, if there's only going to be one period in history to represent this population, the end of the Civil War and the Jewish immigration boom from Russia in the early 20th century are obvious choices, but does there have to only be one? Cecile and Melody--and Claudie, one hopes--show otherwise. So if there were going to be a second Jewish historical, Rhode Island in 1790 is my first pick. George Washington's letter to the Jewish community of Newport still resonates with American Jewish communities today. His promise of a government that gives "to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance" is a dream that has never been fully realized, but has never been forgotten.

The period of English political history known as the Regency and the period of fashion history named after it don't perfectly align: although the political period had not yet begun, when we look at the high waists and narrow silhouettes that begin during this period we usually describe them as being Regency fashion.

Part of the problem with doing a project based on dates is that I have severe dyscalculia. Although I drew the canon American Girl dolls and Best Friends more than a year ago, it took me until this week to realize I had Lydia and Caroline one year older than canon. For the time being, I'm going to proceed as I had them, but I'm planning a redraw of the first series I did, and when I do that I'll move them and anyone else I didn't get quite right to the right birth year.

Nerdanel, Anaire and Earwen

How do their personalities compliment each other?

This is surprisingly hard. I tend to group Nerdanel & Indis, and Anaire & Earwen, so I'm trying to imagine a whole different dynamic from scratch, pretty much.

Nerdanel brings in a quiet insightfulness the others can't be bothered with. Anaire is pragmatic and confident. Earwen is probably the one always pushing for the three of them to Do Things.

Who has the car ready while the other is robbing the store?

I mean, Earwen has boats and I can't seem to picture anyone else just because of that lol That's such a silly answer but my brain is refusing to let me go anywhere but there.

Who is the more social one?

I literally headcanon Anaire would fade if she was cut off from society, but Galadriel gets her "I want to rule others!!!" instincts from her mom, so something can be said about Earwen being a close second.

Aredhel and Turgon

What is an inside joke they have?

They straight up are keeping track of every embarrassing incident the other has been involved in the past millennium. You tripped on a tree root once seven centuries ago? You'll never be allowed to walk through a forest without that being brought up.

Side note that they regularly team up to bully Fingon too.

Who would start a fight with another parent at a bake sale?

Aredhel starts the fight (and wins it), but the one still holding a grudge two centuries later is Turgon.

Maedhros and Fingon

Who swears more?

In polite society, neither. In semi-polite society, Fingon. In impolite society, it's about the same.

What is their favourite cuddle position?

I am a huge proponent of platonic cuddling, but I also headcanon the Noldor are some of the most standoffish people in Arda. So this is just non-cuddly touching but for Noldor that registers as Practically Cuddling Wow.

Fingon strikes me as the type to grab people's hands/arms/shoulders For Emphasis. Pay Attention To This Important Thing He's Saying. This also results in Implying he's communicating something Important if he just does the grabbing without saying anything.

I've mentioned a few times that I headcanon growing up Maedhros was unusually tactile for an elf, so back in Valinor he was all for arms around shoulders, back pats and generally having no strong concept of personal space, especially if they were like, hiking or doing some other physical thing as opposed to just talking. Alas after Angband 99% of that stops.

This all sounds so tame, but like I said. Noldor. Princes of the Noldor of feuding Houses!! This is A Lot as per how I headcanon Eldarin societies, I promise!

Who has better fashion sense?

Um. Hard question. They're both extremely conscious of how they present themselves. I feel like Maedhros has a very polished fashion sense tailored to express messages, while Fingon is just... doing whatever he likes and setting trends along the way. It's a timeless vs trendy situation.

Haleth and Caranthir

Who can rap better?

Well, in theory, Caranthir could have perfect enunciation while delivering insanely fast raps, but not only is he uninterested in rapping, he's also just not cool enough. He would essentially recite music very fast rather than actually rap.

Haleth? She's invented hip hop in Arda, I think. Have you seen her attitude? Are you kidding me, I'd listen to her rap a grocery list.

What other couple would your otp get along with?

I tend to very much headcanon if they were in love they would just never tell anyone including each other, which makes this hard to answer. But the funniest answer would be Haleth and Andreth befriending each other and Caranthir and Aegnor glaring at each other like they would commit murder if their girlfriends wouldn't get mad. Bonus points if they accidentally become friends, much to their horror.

How do they cheer each other up?

They both strike me as the type to have Let Me Fix This as their main love language. If that's not doable, just earnestly saying "Damn, that sucks" works too, because Validation™️ - if it's bad enough their go-getter crush can't find a solution either, then at least they know they aren't being melodramatic or incompetent.

Board of Bakhaar

Wondrous item, legendary

This item appears to be a slab of dark grey stone, with 52 white tiles making a winding path across its face.

The board always has two six-sided dice made of stone. These are bound to the board. If the dice are lost or destroyed, they will reappear on the face of the board in 1 minute.

The magical effects of the Board of Bakhaar take effect when a player rolls the dice across the face of the board. Upon rolling 2d6, a stone token carved in the shape of a prehistoric animal appears on the first tile of the board and moves forward the rolled number of spaces. Once the token has stopped moving, the player must roll d100 and consult the Board of Bakhaar table, below. The effects of the Board of Bakhaar table immediately take place within sight of the players if not otherwise stated.

Up to four players can roll the dice and have a token appear on the board. The tokens cannot be removed from the board, and the players cannot take their turn out of the order which they originally rolled.

Once a token has landed on the fifty-second white tile, Bakhaar, a magical giant ape, appears and congratulates the players. He undoes all the effects of the game and banishes all summoned creatures. The party is left with any treasure they might've received while playing the game. The board cannot be used again until 30 days have passed.

Curse: Any creature who rolls the dice and receives a token is magically compelled to complete the game. In addition to this, any player who attempts to move their token or otherwise cheat must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw at the beginning of their next turn or be Polymorphed into a baboon, vulture, or giant frog.

Board of Bakhaar table

01-02 The token moves back 3 tiles.

03-04 Over the next minute, 20 feet of water floods the surrounding 4 miles. A plesiosaur appears.

05-06 2d6 baboons attempt to steal the board.

07-08 A blizzard rolls in. Outdoor spaces within 4 miles are considered difficult terrain, and Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sight are made with disadvantage.

09-10 2d6 wolves appear.

11-12 A brontosaurus appears.

13-14 The player is sealed within a crystal until another player rolls either a 5 or an 8.

15-16 A mantrap sprouts directly underneath the player and attempts to engulf them.

17-18 The player must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the player is instantly Petrified. Otherwise, a player that fails the save begins to turn to stone and is Restrained. The Restrained player must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn, becoming Petrified on a failure or Ending the Effect on a success. The petrification lasts until the player is freed by the Greater Restoration spell or other magic.

19-20 A prehistoric human warrior (tribal warrior) appears. She is friendly to the party and willing to ally with them, although she cannot speak Common. If the warrior has already been summoned, reroll.

21-22 Fungus starts growing around the board, sending spores. All corpses of creatures summoned by the board are reanimated as spore servants.

23-24 The player no longer understands any written or spoken language; however, they can now communicate with the tribal warrior or the shaman if they have been summoned.

25-26 The token moves forward 3 tiles.

27-28 Webs sprout in a 20-foot cube around the board, as if cast by the spell Web. The webs are difficult terrain, and each creature that starts its turn in the webs or enters them during its turn must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is Restrained unless it successfully makes a DC 14 Strength check. A giant spider also appears and attacks the party.

29-30 Day becomes night, night becomes day.

31-32 Plants start growing around the board in a 100 foot radius, as if under the Plant Growth spell.

33-34 The player must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. If they fail, they are transformed into a baboon as if under the Polymorph spell.

35-36 A prehistoric human shaman (druid) appears. She is friendly to the party and willing to ally with them, although she cannot speak Common. If the shaman has already been summoned, reroll.

37-38 The player receives what appears to be 3 Greater Healing Potions. However, one of them is in fact a Potion of Poisoning.

39-40 A pteranodon attempts to steal the game board.

41-42 An opaque fog fills a space of 100 feet around the board, making the area heavily obscured.

43-44 Reroll the dice.

45-46 All creatures summoned by the board are compelled to attack the player for 1 minute.

47-48 2d6 cultists and one cult fanatic attack the party; they will also attempt to steal the game board.

49-50 A mammoth appears.

51-52 2d6 lizardfolk attempt to convince the party to join them in their war against 2d6 ape men (orcs).

53-54 2d6 ape men (orcs) attempt to convince the party to join them in their war against 2d6 lizardfolk.

55-56 The player must skip their next turn.

57-58 A herd of 1d6 triceratops stampede through the area.

59-60 A giant scorpion attacks the party.

61-62 The player receives a rare or rarer magical item of the DM’s discretion.

63-64 Heavy rains fall directly over the game board. The water level raises by 2 feet, turning the area into difficult terrain. Wisdom (Perception) checks relying on sight or hearing are made with disadvantage.

65-66 All creatures summoned by the board now have an Intelligence of 19. Beasts can now arm themselves with spears and other weapons.

67-68 A yellowish disease-filled mist spreads out from the board. All creatures summoned by the board become zombified.

69-70 Creatures in a 20-foot-radius sphere must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw as a meteor falls directly on top of the board. Each creature takes 8d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The board is totally unharmed.

71-72 A pack of 1d6 saber toothed tigers appear.

73-74 The terrain in a 10 foot diameter around the board becomes quicksand.

75-76 A Tyrannosaurus Rex attacks the party.

77-78 The flesh of the player turns as hard as stone, as if under the Stoneskin spell.

79-80 A pack of 1d6 deinonychus are in hiding by the party. They will wait for one member of the party or a creature summoned from the board to separate from the group before they attack.

81-82 A UFO falls to earth in sight of the party. Inside is a dead alien pilot and a laser pistol.

83-84 A fissure opens, turning the surrounding 4 miles into volcanic terrain. The area is under the effects of extreme heat, and lava flows appear.

85-86 The player’s token is sent back to the first tile.

87-88 At any time, the player can select one beast summoned by the board and charm it as if under the Animal Friendship spell. This effect lasts even if the beast is zombified or made aggressive by other magic.

89-90 The party is instantly restored to full health as though they have completed a long rest.

91-92 Fifty gems worth 1,000 gp each appear at the player's feet.

93-94 The player must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the player hallucinates the rest of the party as demons and is compelled to attack them. This effect lasts until the player is freed by the Greater Restoration spell or other magic.

95-96 A swarm of bats appears directly above the board.

97-98 Bakhaar the Giant Ape appears and ends the game early.

99-00 The player is granted one Wish. If the wish has been granted, reroll.

How I Fell Into the Fandom

After skulking around tumblr for months, I finally decided to pen down my thoughts even though no one will read these. In a way it's like a record for me, to jot down my feelings and thoughts on Yizhan. Maybe one day I'll look back and marvel at my own obsession 🙃.

It all started when a compilation on Boy's Love dramas popped up on my YouTube feed one day and I clicked on it out of curiosity. I remember seeing some Thai or Taiwanese series in the list but didn't take much notice. All of a sudden a Chinese period drama popped up. I was intrigued cos I never knew there were BL themes in period dramas, let alone in a China production where censorship is rife. I looked in the comments, found out it was called The Untamed, did some Googling and found the premise interesting (soul mates solving convulated mystery 😅). Just nice it's on Netflix so...I ended up binge watching all 50 episodes under 2 weeks.

I like to think of it this way: if WWX was love at first sight for me, then my love for XZ is one that grew stronger with time. As for YB, that love is one that came with deeper understanding.

After watching the drama, naturally I looked up the actors. I remember watching some interview - no particular feelings at that time, just 2 nice looking dudes who kept saying 'wow'. As I watched more interviews and bts and concerts, gradually they grew on me, especially XZ (who doesn't love him). They were fun to watch and had superb chemistry, it was somewhat mesmerising. I was also looking up more of XZ's content, his songs etc, learning more and more about this gorgeous man with the gentle soul and resilient streak.

At the same time I was also watching videos and reading up on The Untamed analysis cos that show has alot going on. One day there was a video on my YouTube feed that was about the dreaded 2/27 incident and how YB had a role in it. It came across malicious; the comments section was worse. I didn't quite believe it cos GGDD looked so harmonious in the bts and interview clips. No way Yb would backstab XZ.

I started digging more; at the same time I read up more about YB. Poor baby had a tough history - leaving home at a young age, training in Korea, getting splashed with paint in Thailand, receiving hate comments, his band activities halted in China etc.. The more I understood him, the more I felt for him.

I loved GG first..for DD, it was more admiration. Both of them are outstanding and hardworking and special. I remember the moment I really fell in love with DD. It was this year's Weibo Night. Him in that matte black suit and the haircut. THE HAIR. Looking hella fine, DD! He was so cute that night, he stole my heart completely.

Anyway to cut things short, I love both of them now. GG was my bias from the beginning. Maybe he still is, right now maybe it's GG:DD 55:45 😝

I have had some suspicions on whether they are SZD during my research period but it was only when I stumbled upon tumblr that I truly fell into the fandom. Loving every moment of it now and supporting GGDD with the community brings me much joy and hope.

I'm firmly on the BJYXSZD camp now. Maybe I'll do up a post next on why..

Obey Me! Lucifer doesn’t know how to ask out MC

Thank you for the prompt @blll00dyhelll. I hope you like it!

MC was an enigma, honestly. Lucifer could never tell what they were thinking, or why they did the things they did. They were very clearly afraid of dying, and yet they would always be the first to jump in front of his brothers to protect them. They had even protected Lucifer on occasion. MC, a weak human, had tried to protect him, Lucifer, one of the strongest demons in the three realms. It was ridiculous, and yet, it never failed to make his heart flutter.

Lucifer found himself watching MC more and more as the year went on. His eyes followed them, a small, fond smile making its way onto his face as he watched them play with his brothers. He had been very hesitant about the exchange program, but he couldn’t deny how much happier his brothers were with MC around. Mammon was home more, misbehaving less, and smiling so much more. Leviathan left his room more often now, and Lucifer would hear him laughing with MC long into the night. Satan rampaged far less, choosing to spend more time exchanging books with MC and pranking Lucifer. Asmodeus didn’t bring random demons home as often, preferring to spend his time with MC instead. Beelzebub started sleeping more soundly, no longer plagued by nightmares of his sister. Belephegor was a part of the family now, spending more time awake, and revisiting his old interest in the human realm. Lucifer himself was working less, and spending more time with his brothers. All of their relationships and communication had improved by leaps and bounds, all thanks to MC.

The issue began when Lucifer decided to ask them out. He had noticed himself falling for them for a while now, but had put his own feelings aside to focus on his work and his brothers. Now that their time was coming closer to an end, Lucifer wanted to tell MC how he felt, and hopefully start a relationship. He had already prepared himself for the differences in lifespan, what issues could occur during the relationship, and had taken notes of all of MC’s favourite things so he could spoil them rotten, but he had not given much thought to how to ask them out. Perhaps he should take them to Ristorante Six, or for a walk through the streets, buying them gifts. Whatever they wanted, he would give them. He hadn’t realised it would be so hard for him to get MC alone in the first place.

MC was always with someone; if it wasn’t one of his brothers, it was one of the other exchange students, or Diavolo, or even Barbatos, when he wasn’t working. Never in a situation where Lucifer could approach them and ask them on a date. He was also not so crude as to ask over a text message or phone call, nor to wait for them in their room until they arrived. He had tried asking MC to come to his office, but his brothers were all waiting outside of the room, thinking MC was in trouble.

No matter what he tried, MC was never alone. He eventually did stoop to inviting them to dinner via a text, despite it being quite ungentlemanly, but ultimately could not find a day where they did not have plans with someone else. It was beginning to get rather depressing, honestly. He began sneaking gifts into their room, hoping to express his feelings through actions rather than words. He never left his name on them though, and MC never mentioned the gifts, leaving Lucifer to wonder if they ever received them.

Lucifer’s birthday was approaching, and he had yet to catch MC alone. Worse still, they seemed to be actively avoiding him, preferring to do seemingly anything else. He could barely sleep, wondering what he had done to annoy them. He started spending more time buried in his work, desperately trying to run away from his own feelings among the endless expanse of paperwork. Diavolo picked up on this, giving him more work to do that didn’t normally fall under his responsibilities. Lucifer gratefully accepted the help. The gifts that appeared in MC’s room became more personalised and expensive, now accompanied by apology notes and requests to speak with him about what he had done wrong. Those notes ended up in the rubbish bin every time. He felt like he was slowly going mad.

He woke up on his birthday feeling more tired than ever. It had been months since MC had spoken with him without it being strictly business related, and yet their relationship with his brothers had just kept getting better. Even still, he had to keep moving. He had a reputation to maintain after all. He walked into the dining room, and was greeted with several loud bangs. He took to his demon form, ready to fight whoever had invaded his house and stop them from hurting his brothers. He glanced around the room. A feast was laid out in the dining room table. Around it stood his brothers, Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon, Solomon, Luke and MC. All of them looked shocked, used party poppers dangling from their hands. Lucifer dimly registered the streamers falling around him, and heaved a sigh of relief. Now that he was more relaxed, he could see the room was decked out with balloons, streamers, and colourful lights. A clearly handmade sign on the wall read ‘Happy Birthday Lucifer!!!!’. The exclamation marks were clearly Levi’s work, while each letter was written in slightly different handwriting, as well as each of his brother’s favourite colours. It was clear that they had all worked together to make the admittedly rather sloppy sign. He smiled. His family was truly wonderful, despite all of their antics. He truly loved them.

Everyone sat down at the table, enjoying the food and having fun. He received many gifts, including new quills, expensive wines and Demonus, homemade cookies from Luke, a stack of ‘Free Day off Work’ cards from Diavolo that he definitely won’t be using, 3 ‘No Prank’ cards from Belphie and Satan that he definitely would be using, a small pouch containing 3000 grim from Mammon, and a simple letter from MC. He was curious about their choice, but decided to read it when he was alone later. For now, he focused on spending time with his family and friends.

Later that night, after everyone had either gone home or gone to bed, Lucifer looked at the letter. He had put it off far longer than he had intended, anxious about what it might contain, yet desperate to read it. His hands shook imperceivably as he read the small note inside. ‘Go to bed now’ was all that was written. He sighed, but decided to obey. It was the only communication MC had given him in months, after all.

MC was fast asleep on his bed. They had clearly been waiting a while, likely thinking he would have read the note far earlier. They were wearing some of the jewellery he had gifted them far earlier. He felt bad that he had kept them waiting. He watched MC for a while, considering waking them up. They shivered, and Lucifer decided to just tuck them into bed with him, and speak to them in the morning. With MC in his arms, he slept better than he had in centuries.

In the morning, he was poked awake by MC. They were annoyed that he had not come earlier. He admitted that he had been to scared to open the letter, prompting an eye roll. They kissed him, and admitted that they always liked him too, and would love to go on a date. Lucifer felt like he was back in the Celestial realm, he was so overjoyed. They spent a lot of time talking, catching up, and just enjoying each other’s presence. And Lucifer had to wonder why he was even worried in the first place.

So, I was looking at Levi’s demon form again, and have come to the realisation that there is no way he isn’t bioluminescent. This boy is clearly built for deep water life.

All of the purple sections on his clothes, skin, and horns are fluorescent, as are the yellow-orange spots on his sides.

The white spots probably glow as well.

There is also the open zipper on his hood, which looks a lot like teeth. Makes me thing of angler fish and other deep sea life (even though they tend to have very long teeth).

His clothes are black (aside from the bioluminescent parts), which is perfect for hiding in dark waters, especially with the glow attracting away attention

The fact that his hood has a zipper suggests that he can zip it up, which could be used to hide his pale skin and face

There is no skin visible outside of his hood. He is even wearing gloves. With the hood on, he could be a ghost (aside from the glowy bits)

The yellow spots on his sides look like eyes, which is a common method used to deter predators. I don’t know how well that would work in the deep water, but it could also be used to trick prey into thinking he can’t see them, when they hide. Would work even better if his hood is mostly black, making his true face essentially invisible.

His clothes are all streamlined. His hoodie is the baggiest thing he wears, but it still clings to him quite a bit.

His pants are held up with small suspenders. They won’t slip at high speeds.

His pants have the same pattern/colours as his tail, making it harder to see where his body ends, or how he moves (his shoes do glow though).

Summary: Levi is a deep sea beast and his demon form actually shows this. Also, he glows in the dark.

I just finished the circus event, and honestly, I think it is the best Obey Me! event I have played yet. The storyline was amazing. The twist of the dollhouse, as well as foreshadowing that something was quite right was done really well. The foggy flashbacks to scenes from the first few lessons was a really nice touch.

The use of the different sprites and backgrounds from previous events worked extremely well. I adored the use of the genie costumes as circus outfits, with the human world outfits when they were relaxed. It was so much more immersive. It felt like we were in another dimension, not just somewhere else in Devildom.

The roles were also divided amongst the characters perfectly. I was able to guess who was doing which part before the brother was even mentioned. They all fit their roles really well. I especially liked Belphie as a contortionist (he seems like he could definitely be that flexible), and Levi as a clown. It feels like the clown choice also nods back to his Jester card, which was a really good look for him. I also liked the explaination as to why Lucifer was the ringmaster, though he didn’t get trapped. The collective nightmare/curse scenario worked really well for this.

I would love to see more events with this kind of detail, even if they are spaced out longer. The attention to the little things really made this event amazing.

@shinidamachu I did it. I finished ATLA! I can now say with confidence that Zutara totally should have happened. They just have better chemistry together on top of all the other parallels between them. Beyond that, I like the show, but, IMO, the writing is decent, not great, with moments of either amazing or bad mixed in. However, I can see why it is popular, with the amazing world and characters they built.

First of all, I want to thank everybody that reached out to me, commented, re-blogged, and liked my post yesterday! I truly feel welcomed and loved!

Second, look at that picture! I mentioned the idea of Rin x Shiori (ShioRin) and it got more attention than I honestly expected! And then @kirrtash posted the above picture, which I was just blown away by! Look at how happy they look! Amazing work! But this leads to my final point.

Third and final thing, I couldn't get the image out of my head and before I knew it I came up with a one shot that I worked like crazy last night and this morning to get it out as fast as I could! So, now live on AO3,

Hello to the Inuyasha fandom! Some of you may have seen me re-blogging, liking, commenting, and, with a few people anyways, interacted with! Well, I’ve finally gotten up the courage to make an official “hello” post. This is something I’ve been meaning to do for a bit now, but for one reason or another usually anxiety I haven’t. Until today, of course! I’m gonna put some additional info about me below the cut to help keep this small, but feel free to message me or send me asks if you want to get to know me better/interact with me. Or just ignore me. I won’t be offended. I just want to try and make some friends and get help/encouragement for my writing. Again, hello! And until next time, I hope you all are well!

Some personal details:

I’m 32 and got into Inuyasha when it was first airing on Adult Swim. I didn’t really get into the fandom then, though. I had some friends that also enjoyed it as well, but that was about it. Inuyasha quickly found a place in my heart, but after a few years I some what moved on. A couple months ago, I finally decided to check out HnY when I saw it on Crunchyroll. It was something like two or three episodes away from finishing the season at the time. After bingeing that, I went back and started re-watching Inuyasha, somehow started reading fanfiction, and now I’m here!

My writing:

I’ve always been one to come up with ideas and work them out in my head. But usually I’d struggle with pushing myself to write them down and just let them bounce around until I moved on with another idea/forgot them. I finally decided that I’m gonna push myself to work through what has been holding me back and share my ideas with others! It has been slow so far, but I’m still going.

As for what you can expect from my writing itself, I have a variety of ideas that fall into humor/comedy, fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, and even some dark stuff. They could be entirely one of those or a mix of the categories. I think it’ll be mostly fluff and/or angsty stuff, but we’ll just have to wait and see how my writing evolves and what I end up being most motivated to write.

Some Inuyasha specifics of mine:

InuKag is my OTP. I probably won’t ever split them up, ever

I just want InuKag to be happy dammit!

I’ve never really been a fan of Sesshomaru, but I’ve come to respect him

I just want Inuyasha and Koga to be friends dammit!

I’ve never hated Kikyo, but I’ve come around on her and like her now

I’ve recently come to the realization that I think I ship KogKik

I also ship MirSan(duh), KaguKik, and RinShiori

Parting words:

I’ve never really been one for social media so this is kinda? new for me, but I’m trying to push myself out of my shell and make some friends. In the secret good spn that lives in my head, Sam is played by a woman and is a lesbian. She’s closeted though and introduces Jess to dean as her “roommate” and a lot of the first season is spent with dean and the audience wondering why Sam is so fucked up by her friend’s death and we get like quite a few flashback scenes where Jess and Sam are getting close but not yet super gay and it gets revealed to the audience (maybe not dean yet?? Idk) with the Sarah Blake episode because she’s the first girl Sam allows herself to get close to after Jess. Like maybe Sarah is one of the first people Sam comes out to (would be even more buck wild if MEG was the first person Sam came out to) Anyway when Sam and Dean finally catch up to John and they get into an argument over going after the demon, That’s when Sam comes out to John and Dean. Thinking something like John saying “you don’t know what it’s like to have the love of your life taken from you, killing this demon takes precedent over everything because revenge” and Sam going “no! I do know exactly what it feels like because that’s exactly what I went through with Jess because I loved her! I loved Jess and she’s dead and I can’t get her back but I’m not gonna sacrifice what’s left of the people I love in order to get revenge” like revealing it in this huge burden relieving way bc over the season with dean she’s been able to slowly let go of the closet door, been able to relax about her attraction and relationships with women, but meeting back with John slams the door closed and she’s like Fuck That I’m not gonna let anyone talk to me like my relationships don’t mean anything. It’s important that she’s able to come out to John because I keep imagining that later in season 2 she and dean have a talk which is basically dean saying that he wishes he had been able to stand up to John like she had, to say His truth (this is all while he’s refusing to look at her he just can’t) and just chdhfhfjjd sam and dean gay feelings. Also sam still gets mad pussy there’s no stopping her

i think about kevin tran so much u guys don’t even know....i really wanna write a fic about him being the prophet from the start instead of chuck and he’s just like a teenager writing about these visions of these two random whites who hunt monsters on tumblr or reddit or whatever until someone comments “are you seriously writing rpf about the serial killer duo sam and dean winchester” and hes just like WHAT THEYRE REAL IVE BEEN SEEING THEM IN FREAKY ASS VISIONS AND DREAMS and nobody believes him bc ppl lie on the internet
