the way that one line from the new epilogue in an astarion romance is going to HAUNT me
just. what a profoundly intense thing to confess to someone.
like, just these six months of newfound happiness with you exerts a force on his heart equal and in direct opposition to two centuries of endless torment, the gnawing hunger and exploitation. this flashbulb-bright fraction of his long life holds the same gravity to him as years upon years of darkness and suffering.
in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.
how am i supposed to act normal about this.

there. did you see that? I just reblogged a jegulus post. and then...and then I reblogged a jily post.
let it sink in.
it's possible. please STOP throwing hate at people who ship jegulus exclusively (or jily exclusively, except they don't get NEARLY as much hate as the people who ship jegulus exclusively...) !! you're turning off people who ship both jily and jegulus to the fandom on the whole, and even jily!!
(I love jily SO much! I love jily more than I love jegulus, but I really hate what some of the jily fandom has become.)

The Princess' Dolls
After Danny has ascended to the throne of the ghost king, something goes wrong with his clone Ellie. Her form destabilizes again, and when they stabilize her, she's physically only five or six years old.
Danny takes to watching her, but looking after a half ghost child is a lot harder than it looks, especially when Ellie learns duplication but can't seem to figure out how to undo it for hours on end, and each clone gets bored really fast. To counter this, Danny makes Ellie a set of dolls, all modeled after the Justice League and various related figures. He even uses a special enchantment he learned to make sure the dolls stay intact no matter what Ellie puts them through.
Ellie loves the dolls and she and her clones have a tendency to put together large productions using them, ranging from superhero fights to sitcom stories to fairy tales to a few 'things' Ellie remembered reading online before she was de aged.
Meanwhile, almost every single Justice League member has been noticing some oddities as of late. They can hear voices from no where, they feel like something is touching them when there is nothing, their muscles sometimes spasm without cause. And, on occasion, they find themselves sleepwalking as they dream of a giant telling a story.
No one brings this to the attention of the other members until several members get knocked out on a mission, only for their unconscious forms to start acting out a play.
(Or Danny accidentally makes several Justice League Voodoo dolls and a young Ellie keeps playing with them)

it’s obvious to everyone that dazai is so smart, but the truth is, he has such a selective memory. if he doesn’t want to do paperwork … it’s simply out of his mind. he’s forgotten about it, and now it’s someone else’s task, something that annoys kunikida endlessly.
you ask him about it once and he laughs it off, tells you that it’s so he can make more room in his memory for the important things. which, you suppose, makes sense; even people like dazai have limits.
still, you’re not sure what he means by important things if that doesn’t include his work assignments.
it’s just another dazai mystery that you put out of your mind until you fall in love with him.
when you get together, after weeks of pining over one another, dazai brings by some desserts you love. you wonder how he knew they were your favorites, but you figure someone at the agency must have told him, and don’t think too much of it.
then, he buys you a new book you mentioned once that you wanted to read. there’s a little note scribbled in the cover, and he smiles cheekily when you have no idea what to say.
every day, he starts bringing you coffee to work, exactly how you like it, even though you’re certain you never told him.
it isn’t until dazai’s on his phone, scrolling through upcoming films, that you understand.
you’re laying your head on his lap when he shows you the phone screen. “that movie you’ve been wanting to see is out tomorrow,” he says like it’s no big deal.
and you have been wanting to see it, but you hadn’t talked with him about it in weeks. not since the trailer came out, and you told him in nothing more than a passing comment that it looks like it’ll be good.
you stare back at him, surprised that he remembered, but he’s flown past it. he’s already making a plan of when you’ll watch it, wondering if you wanted to make an entire night out of it.
it hits you then, a wave of emotions that has you tearing up, even though dazai has no idea what could’ve possibly upset you.
and you realize important things to dazai are really just things about you. that even if it meant sacrificing space in his memory, the places where routine chores and paperwork should go, he’d gladly do it.
whatever it takes to make sure that he never forgets a single detail about you.
