MONKEY D. LUFFY
This trouble maker captain right here is always injured lol
So that said, you always go on healing your big, trouble maker baby
Wild card : Though he can take punches, kicks, and even stabs without screaming in pain—Luffy starts whining like a poor puppy everytime he comes to ask you to patch him up.
“Y/n...! Look, look, I'm heavily injured! I'm reaallyy hurt! Won't you heal me!? And, and! Won't you give me a kiss, too, for doing a great job in beating that bastard's ass!?”
RORONOA ZORO
Same as his captain, the first mate is always injured—due to fights, his harsh training, and other causes
..Despite always being injured, Zoro hates getting himself patched up. But if you're the one doing the healing so he could get better, it's all good for him!
Wild card : Zoro doesn't care if he's greatly bleeding out during a fight—but outside a fight, if he got the smallest cut, Zoro immediately dashes to you to get himself healed up..!
“Hey, so, I was peeling myself apples a while ago using that ero-cook's damned knife—now I got this cut. Heal it now, and eat these with me, yeah?”
NAMI
Nami very much hates getting herself injured, especially getting scars
So Nami is quick to rush to you to get her injury fixed
Wild card : this happens quite rarely, since as said above, she hates getting scars—but, nami sometimes get herself injured on 'places' to see you flushed when she asks you to heal it~
“Babyyy..! Look, look! Look at my perfectly beautiful legs here! They've got a scar! Their beauty has been tarnished, so, please.. Take care of them, yeah~?”
USOPP
Usopp avoids getting himself injured at all cost.
And when he does get injured, he screeches as he dash towards you with tears on his eyes, asking you to heal his injury ASAP.
Wild card : I have this headcanon for Usopp where he's a real clutz, so he always has an injury here and there, and wounds that he doesn't know where it came from.
“Y-Y/n..! W..When I woke up, I saw this new wound on my arm..! I..I don't know where it came from—it's probably from the spirits that I've angered, waaahh!!”
(it was caused by Luffy. He was dreaming that Usopp was a piece of meat, and bit him during their sleep. 💀)
VINSMOKE SANJI
As the left hand man of the ship's captain, Sanji is always out on a fight to support his captain, so injuries are unavoidable.
He's developed durability to the beating up he receives and shows it off his coolness to you, BUT AFTER THE FIGHT, he whines.
Wild card : This perv right here always has a nosebleed everytime you go patch up his beaten up ass, causing you more trouble.
“My loveee..! I'm injured, I'm badly hurt..! Everything's so painful, so please, heal me with your magic kiss—*you kiss him* *he nosebleeds*”
NICO ROBIN
Robin isn't a big fan of getting injuries during combat, or whenever.
Though despite being injured, she handles it like a Queen! (You don't.)
Wild card : As said above she handles her injuries like the Queen she is, BUT, you don't—you're more panicked when she's injured as she stays calm while telling you some morbid jokes.
“Darling.. Please calm down. I'm not going to die, you know? All I got is this small scratch the size of a severed finger, so, don't worry about me too much, okay?”
FRANKY
SUPEEEERRRRR Franky right here who's a barely gets himself injured.
↑ Why? Because, he's a cyborg, a cool one who will barely get a scratch..!
Wild card : ...When Franky does get injured for some reason being during a fight or where else, he starts crying like a small child to you as he asks you to heal him...!
“Waaahh! This damned injury hurts so bad..! It's SUPEEEERRRR painful, I'm gonna cry! Y/n, Y/n, quick, quickly, heal me and ease my pain..!!”
DRACULE MIHAWK
The greatest swordsman? Injured?? Pfft, not a chance.
Though when he's going against strong fellas, he gets some scratches here and there, which he deals with by himself—not wanting to bother you.
Wild card : Mihawk doesn't show it, but, he loves, and finds it cute when you insist on helping him with his injury that he already had managed, or can obviously handle fixing by himself.
“My dear... I already fixed my injury, so don't worry about it. But.. If you really insist on using your ability to speed up the healing process.. Alright. I'll let you.”

I'm weak for "we were dating???" aus, heaving said that zosan/sanzo au:
Zoro thinks they've been flirting since little garden, and by the time they get to Skypiea they're practically engaged. Every time they bicker, Zoro thinks this it's the hottest thing and it's basically like saying "I love you" or "you're important to me" etc. And everytime they headbutt he thinks they're giving each other butterfly and eskimo kisses. And he honest to God thinks Sanji is just too shy/inexperienced to kiss him for real.
The whole crew catches onto what's going on but think it's too funny or just not their business to say anything, so one one does anything.
Sanji on the other hand is very oblivious and thinks Zoro is picking fights with him for no reason. At some point he decides he's had enough and he just doesn't respond to Zoro's taunts, avoiding conflict at all cost.
Zoro is super thrown off by it. He tries picking a fight a couple of times but when Sanji doesn't take the bait he gets all quiet and just sulks in the corner. At the end of the day he pulls Sanji aside and just ask him "Are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?"
Sanji: What? No! In fact I've been trying NOT to pick fights with you!
Zoro, pouting: Exactly, you've been turning down my flirtations all day.
Sanji: ... what.
Zoro: Are you going to break-up with me? We can get through whatever it is!
Sanji, genuinely perplexed: What???
And they talk it through Sanji having do many questions like "How long do you think we've been dating?", "What do you mean I'm flirting back??" and mostly "HOW???"
And then the whole crew who's been listening the entire time just goes "Yeah, you guys have been dating for so long it's quite admirable, really cute."
Bonus angst moment:
When Zoro finds out about Sanji getting married he keeps denying it because that would mean that not only did he get cheated on, but it also would mean he wasn't enough and Sanji had been delaying their marriage just because he didn't want to settle for Zoro.

How One Piece Characters Drive
Character(s): Strawhats
Note: i was driving and i was like how would sanji drive and then i wrote this
Luffy
He doesn’t drive
Even if he DID have his license I feel like he still wouldn’t drive like he would actively refuse
He’d just bike around or hitch rides :P
Though when he does drive he NEVER fully stops at stop signs
Rolling stops are his middle name
Zoro
Took his drivers test 4 times before barely passing
ALWAYS has his gps on (he still gets lost)
ARGUES with the gps (...)
Will not hesitate to roll down his window and yell at another car
Incredible at parallel parking
Hangs his arm out the window when driving
Won't let Sanji in his car
Nami
The best driver of the group
Literally will find the weirdest shortcuts but they always get you to your destination at least 10 minutes early
Always ends up navigating better than the gps even if she isn't driving
Genuinely has the worst road rage ever she will scream her head off if someone even waits a second to go after the light turns green
Will pull over on the side of the road and make you get out if you yell loud enough
break checks EVERYONE
Usopp
Avoids highways at all cost
Always drives a little slow as a precaution
He's too scared to change lanes
Too scared to drive in general (passenger princess core)
But he does have the best playlists
Sanji
Has the STRONGEST air freshener ever
Tries to avoid left turns at all cost
Has an excessive amount of gum and mints
Does not allowed fast food in his car at all costs cause its so messy (he also always insists he can make you better and healthier food)
Has a little bag of change for parking meters
Will ONLY play jazz music
Won't let Zoro in his car
Chopper
Isn't old enough to drive so everyone else gives him rides (mostly Robin)
He has one of those fake baby steering wheels so he can pretend <3
Robin
Literally a soccer mom in a mom van (chopper's like her kid)
Has little toys and magazines to keep Luffy and Chopper from distracting her
Mom curses at other cars when with Chopper (like censored curse words)
Has those family stick figure stickers on the back of her car of all the strawhats
Franky
Will play old rock songs and sing along while driving
Has dice hanging from the rear view mirror
He also has every type of car decoration known to man
Has 10000000 car magnets
Named his car and will get mad if you don't address it by its name
If anyone dares to scratch or dent his car there will be hell to pay
Brook
This man is like 90 so he is NOT driving
Usually Franky or Robin would drive him around, or he would rely on public transportation
You will not need a radio when riding with him because he will sing for you
Always offers to pay for gas
Jinbei
Drives like a old man (he is one)
VERY very concerned about safety so he refuses to drive unless everyone has their seat belt on at all times
Bought Chopper a car seat
Like Robin he has little toys and puzzles scattered around the car to distract Luffy so he will be quiet on the drive
"Lets play the quiet game!"
Will cave in buying Mcdonalds if pressured enough (by Luffy)

Avoidant
Zoro x Reader
was meant to be fluff, became angst kind to comfort to fluff?
Originally wrote this @mazzieboohoo in my notes app (a girls best friend) instead of sleeping BUT I workshopped it a bit more so here TAKE IT
I don't care if it doesn't make sense that's not my problem
2.5k words
༺。° .ᘛ𓆩♡𓆪ᘚ. ° 。༻
Avoidant.
That’s the best, and probably the only, way to describe your boyfriend right now. He seems to spend every waking moment prioritising his training, and while you aren't all that mad at having the opportunity to watch your EXTREMELY attractive lover show off his muscles as his sweat glistens deliciously beneath the harsh rays of the sun, you couldn’t help but worry about him. Okay… you were also beginning to get kind of - well, more than kind of - jealous at the way a stack of metal was getting more attention from Zoro than you were… no! You are a good girlfriend! So- Mainly you are worried.
Stress and conflicted feelings are gnawing at his heart, it's so obvious, even to Luffy, Mr Oblivious himself! It doesn't help that, in typical Zoro fashion, his choice of resolution is to suppress these emotions at all costs. This was probably the least desirable trait of his, apart from his shocking navigation skills obviously, and you just wish he wouldn't be so difficult when it came to things like this. The whole crew feels like they have to walk on eggshells around him, it's just tiring at this point. His attitude has been hard on everyone, especially for poor Chopper, who sees your boyfriend more-or-less as a father figure and is now convinced that Zoro hates him.
He isn’t himself when it comes to the nighttime either, in fact, this is now the part of the day that you dread the most. He has been making an unhealthy habit of clambering into your shared bed in the early hours of the morning, absolutely reeking of sake. He then becomes completely restless and spends those minimal hours of rest stirring about, keeping you awake while he's at it. Every night you beg him to talk to you about it, and every night he plainly tells you it’s nothing, and goes back to borderline ignoring you. You aren't quite sure what hurts more, the fact that he is ignoring you, or the fact that he is just straight-up lying to you.
“Hey, I’m sure he’ll be fine, you’re worrying too much” Nami manages to pull you out of your thoughts, smiling at you before sitting at your side. She joins you in enjoying the pleasantry of the summer breeze and you can’t help but pout a little at her words. She is right. She is always right.
“I’m not worried, just making sure he doesn’t hurt himself.” you lie, squinting your eyes as you look out at the sun setting beyond the horizon. The afternoon glare makes your head ache a little and you are sure that you're falling victim to, what is going to be, a painful sunburn. Oh well, that's a problem for your future self.
Nami huffs at your pathetic attempt at a lie, before swiftly changing the topic. She begins to talk about how perfect the upcoming weather is going to be for your travels to the next island or something. You know she is just trying to lighten the mood, but you can't really focus. Honestly, you feel nauseous, and there is now a growing pit of anxiety bubbling in the depths of your stomach. You begin to question if it's all your fault, that maybe you are the root cause of Zoro’s distress. This uneasiness spurs in your gut and becomes more unbearable, bile threatening to rise beyond its threshold. You begin to think about how the both of you had only really become official recently, after flirting back and forth for months, and how it had only been since then that he had been acting so… off-
“HEY- are you even listening to me?!?!" Nami yells as she nudges your shoulder. You pretend to draw back in pain, attempting to pull off some sort of comedic relief. It's more for yourself rather than to distract Nami from the fact that you didn’t hear a single thing she said (not paying her attention can be fatal...). BUT LUCKILY FOR YOU-
She just stands, grabbing at your arm to pull you up with her. She now holds your hand and leads the two of you back to everyone else. She utters something about dinner almost being ready and you can't help but to laugh as she enthusiastically declares that it is gonna be the most delicious thing you’re ever going to taste because she ever-so-kindly requested the dish herself. Yeah, she has definitely just used Sanji again to feed her cravings like the girlboss she is🤷
You couldn’t stomach dinner, no matter how delicious it was, and to sweet dear Sanji’s dismay you had to excuse yourself from the table. Unfortunately, the ease you previously felt from Nami’s presence disappeared as quickly as it appeared, and so you now find yourself sitting on the floor of the soldier deck.
The stars are abnormally bright tonight, the full moon stares back at you with a sort of glare that makes it feel as if it's empathising with you. You lean back against the Thousand-Sunny's railing and curl your legs up, hugging them against your stomach. As the breeze toys with the fallen strands of your hair and you gaze upwards into the night, you can’t help but wonder if the myth of cosmic love was true. You can’t help but wonder if you and Zoro shared this connection, or if it was all just a love of convenience for him.
It’s these strings of thought that bring you right back to the day that he had finally confessed to you. You reminisce on how you went to bed that night kicking your feet and smiling like an idiot to yourself. You remember thinking about your future with him, and how, when your heart finally began to calm and you dozed to sleep, you found yourself dreaming of everlasting love. Yes, it was embarrassing and childish, even you’ll admit it, but it was nice to finally feel wanted romantically, especially by someone as stoic and stone-faced as Zoro.
You can’t help but smile fondly, albeit a little sadly, at this memory. If only there was to be a shooting star, so that you can wish to go back in time to this moment, to relish in that feeling of giddiness for just a little longer.
Scouring the night sky for any glimmer of hope, or just for something to distract you from the heaviness adorning your chest, someone’s presence disturbs your failing attempt at finding peace.
Zoro.
He moves to sit with you. A weird sort of tension begins to hang so thickly in the air that you believe you might suffocate. You aren’t prepared for this sudden confrontation, for him to so casually approach you as if he hasn't been avoiding you for god knows how long. Before you can muster up the courage to finally break the silence and say something, he does it for you.
“I’m sorry.” His voice is firm and unwavering, almost intimidating yet somehow soft at the same time. It's as if he never actually intended to hurt you. You should be mad- no more than mad, borderline ready to fight him! After all this stress he caused you, he can only say sorry??? But no. You force yourself to be the bigger person.
“It’s alright.” You pause your thought, now turning your head to look at him. But before you can continue, he interrupts.
“No… it’s not alright” his brows furrow and he returns your graze, staring so deeply into your soul that it almost burns.
“Before you say anything. I need you to know that my shitty actions were not a result of anything you’ve said or done. okay? I know how you tend to overthink.” He breaks his intense eye contact to look down at his lap, almost like he’s hesitant, seemingly taking his time to formulate his next string of words in a way that wouldn’t make you feel guilty. Before he can continue to explain, he pauses. You know that he's expecting your usual snappy reply that's fueled with some snarky remark or joke. That's how you usually respond when a situation gets too serious for your liking. He knows what to expect from you, so when this awaited response never comes, he realises that you must be gathering your thoughts. And so, he decides to give you a few minutes.
He said he knows you. And it’s true, he knows you like no one else does. You really were just overthinking to the point that it was making you a complete mess. A tear of relief slips from your eye as you fight the urge to fully break down. You quickly go to wipe the tear away, but this action doesn’t go unnoticed by Zoro, of course it doesn’t.
“What? Is something wrong with your eye?” God he’s so daft sometimes. His question is so ridiculous that it almost makes you laugh. However, you just can’t control it anymore and more tears continue to flow.
“Hey- are you okay? Why are you crying?”
You feel too stupid and selfish to admit that he was the root cause of your tears, so of course, you lie. Again.
“Well… do you ever look at something so beautiful that it makes you want to cry? That’s how a full moon makes me feel, and it’s extra beautiful tonight…” you attempt to steady your breathing as you fake a smile towards him.
The warmth of his hand moves to sit against the side of your face as he uses his thumb to wipe away a new stream that's spilled over the curve of your cheek. The familiar feeling of his skin against yours is so comforting that it is his touch alone that begins to heal the uneasiness plaguing your heart. And so you lean further into him, welcoming this newfound sense of solace.
“Of course I do, that's how I feel whenever I look at you.”
It's this statement that constricts your throat to the point of no return and forces you to choke out the most pathetic sob. At first Zoro’s visibly confused by this, not understanding why you’ve had such a visceral reaction to his words, after all, he was simply telling the truth. If he feels uncomfortable by your emotional outburst he doesn’t show it. He instead wraps his burly arms around your shuddering frame and holds you so securely that you’re sure you are going to suffocate. But come on, we all know you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now. It’s a common misconception that Roronoa Zoro is too much of a ‘tough guy’ to be affectionate, that he is always too stern for his own good. But this isn't true, especially when it comes to you. Yes, he’s straightforward, overly suspicious at times, and generally a serious guy. But, he’s also loyal, caring, and would die for his crew. Just because he doesn't like to publicly display his gratitude for everyone, it was always there, and his little acts of love for the crew never went unnoticed by you. He knows this about you, that you always take notice of others, it’s part of the reason as to why he loves you so much.
Your body crumples against his torso, weeping into his chest. You can’t help but to apologise, suddenly feeling guilty for interrupting such a rare confession.
“I’m sorry, I’m so selfish for crying…” you say in between stuttering breaths as you attempt to stabilise your emotions. “I thought you hated me. I’m just so relieved!”
He stays quiet, listening intently to you as he runs his fingers through your hair.
“Zoro, please talk to me. I’m sorry for interrupting, please tell me what’s bothering you, I hate that you’ve been struggling alone.” You’re rambling now and your words are being muffled by the material clinging between his torso and your lips. You don’t care. You only pray that he listens to you.
“You care too much about me,” he chuckles softly before pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “The reason I’ve been such an asshole is because I’ve never loved someone like I’ve loved you. I don’t usually worry about this kind of stuff, but I think I'm a bit shit scared of my own feelings.”.
You cradle your head upwards, looking up at him with your now puffy, red eyes. Now you listen.
A deep sigh escapes from his taut lips, “It’s just… the last time I cared for someone. Well, you know how that ended.”.
He doesn’t have to say anything else. The point has been made, and you nod in a sympathetic understanding. His eyes grow glassy, tears threatening to spill through his eyelashes. You’ve never seen him so vulnerable. You don’t want to pry, and you know that words of comfort don’t work on someone like Zoro, so you stay silent, instead opting to reach up to cradle his head into your chest. This change in dynamics is definitely not something he is usually comfortable with, but it’s what he needs right now. This loving action pushes him over the edge, and funnily enough, he’s now the one sobbing into your arms instead.
You both sit like this for a while, with you sitting patiently, drawing imaginary soothing circles on Zoro’s upper back. His tears dried a while ago and you aren’t sure how long it’s been since anyone last spoke, but you’re willing to wait until the end of time if it meant that he could feel a moment of comfort within your arms.
Your reassuring touches do make him feel better. He’s never felt so loved. So cared for. He’s never been the one on the receiving end of a hold so intimate and full of empathy. The idea that someone will willingly listen to him without judgment, that someone can accept his words without forcing a solution.
“This must have been hard, I'm proud of you. Thank you for talking to me.” You finally say, in the softest voice you can muster. He breaks away from your hold so gently, as if he’s afraid that moving too hastily will break you (you are his most precious possession after all).
You both now sit in a weird and quite awkward entanglement of limbs, staring at each other in a newfound sense of mutual agreement of understanding. Everything makes sense to you, and Zoro finds comfort in knowing that his worries have been heard. A win-win some would say.
Neither of you say anything, it's pointless. Words can’t show how grateful you are for one another. It’s like they always say, actions speak louder than words, right?
And so he kisses you.
It definitely isn’t the first time you’ve kissed, but it’s the first time you’ve kissed like this. It’s all-consuming, so filled with love that it’s almost overwhelming, you believe his mouth is heaven; his tongue the eternal paradise. There’s a certain kind of bliss that can only be found in the tenderness of Zoro’s arms, and you wish more people understood saw his soft side, but maybe it's just meant to be your secret to keep. He never meant to be cruel. He just loves you. He always will.

you (Zoro x Reader)
genre: fluff
"Why are you avoiding me?" Zoro asks for the nth time for this day. "Can you just talk to me?"
"I'm not. Leave me alone." You walk past by him as he tries to catch up to you. This had been going for a while eversince the crew left Wano.
He grabs your hand, and faces you. "You are. You've been interacting with the whole crew but when it comes to me. You just acted like I'm not here."
You went silent and managed to get away from his grasps. "I don't know what you're talking about." You turned back and walked away from him.
"I'm not done talking to you." Zoro shouts as you walk away from him and enters the kitchen. "Y/N!"
-----
"What?" You looked at Sanji as you enter the kitchen. " Didn't hear anything."
"Is it really necessary to avoid him at all costs?" Sanji sighs as he continued his meal prep. "He's fully aware of what you're doing."
You sit by the counter and taps the counter. "I know. It's just...." You can't seem to find the right words. "I just... ugh why do I like him?"
"Oh just confess to him already." Sanji stops his chopping at looked at you. "It can't go on like this forever."
"I've already got his...answer." You tried not to cry. "I just... God. Why..."
You clicked your tongue and started to tell Sanji what happened.
----
It was back in Wano and the fight with Kaido was over. You thought it was the right time to confess to Zoro. It wouldn't hurt right? But as you made your way to see him, you saw him that he was with Hiyori. You only heard from him that he didn't like "them". Assuming that it was you, you ran away and just decided not to confess.
"God, why do I like him." You sighed and faceplanted in the counter. "I should've kept it to myself."
"Oh so that explains why you gave Zoro the cold shoulder when we were about to leave Wano." Sanji replies. "I don't know...But that moss head."
As Sanji was about to tell something. You cut him off and stood up. "I don't care. I give up." You sighed as you make your way out of the kitchen. "It's better this way, no feelings."
You closed the door and Sanji lit up another cigaratte. "I wish you also knew that he likes you too."
----
Night falls and you were on nightwatch, you were staring out to the sea. You started to hum to pass the time.
"Oi." Zoro was standing behind you. Without second thought, you draw your weapon and pointed it at him. "It's just me... geez."
You lowered your weapon and turned away. "Oh, guess its your turn to keep watch." But as you walk away from him, he grabs your hand.
"This can't go on forever." He faces you once again, but this time his approach was gentler. You avoided his gaze and looked down. But he lifts up your chin to meet his gaze. "Look at me when I'm talking Y/N."
You close your eyes and hoping that this was just all a dream but you could feel his presence. You opened your eyes and looked back to his eyes. "Everything's fine, Zoro."
"You've been avoiding me." He started to speak up. "You've been declining my invitations to have a friendly spar."
"I'm not avoiding you." You replied. "I just... Okay fine. Yes, I've been avoiding you."
"But why?" He asks, he lets go but maintains a steady eye contact on you. "Did I do something to piss you off?"
Without second thought you just blurted out yes. "I just wished I didn't like you." Tears started to form and you tried to hold it back. "I just wished I didn't tried to find you that night to confess to you. I wished..."
You finally broke down and started to cry. Zoro holds your hand. "But I...do like you." He intertwines his fingers around yours. "Where do you even had the idea that I didn't liked you?"
You told him the night that you were about to confess and you just heard that you didn't like them from him. He tried to hold his laughter.
"What's so funny about that?!" You shouted and he's still trying not to laugh.
"I was referring to some sake that Hiyori gave to me." He says. "She brought a couple bottles of sake to try and I told her that I didn't like some of them."
Your face turned red at his confession and Zoro finally gave in and laughed. You tried to stand up and ran away from him but he pulled you in for a hug. "But really, Y/N. I like you, even though you're kind a bit dumb."
"Says the one who has no sense of direction." You retorted only for him to laugh even more.
He hugs you a bit tighter and whispers. "I guess that settles everything?" He places his chin on top of your head and rubs your back. "So you're done avoiding me already?"
You stayed silent and hummed in agreement. He smiled and continued to hug you. "Good, because I might've kissed you just to get your attention."
You looked up at him and kissed him on the cheeks. He suddenly turned red and you hid your face on his chest. "I..."
He smiles and lifts your chin and shared a passionate kiss. "I like you, Y/N." He brushes a strand of your hair. "Always remember that."
A/N: Just needed to get that out of my head. Gosh. Well... *sees another mountain of work* Help...

Hit Me? Sanji x Reader
Tumblr media
Word count: about 1.2k
Bro….the dodgeball game…sanji is so stupid, pathetic wet cat of a man coded...I wanted to throttle him. I want to hit this man with my 2003 ford prius yoda style. I want to chew on him like a squeaky toy
Warnings: fem!reader, heavy handed teasing, you wanna make sanji cry apparently, VERY SUGGESTIVE, use of the word cock lol, semi-nsfw, no fucking tho…unless? 👀👀👀 sanji might be semi ooc, I am obsessed with the idea of a reader that sanji doesn't have the usual chivalry towards?? Like bless him he'd try, but you're just such a shit.
“Why yeah it'd be my pleasure ma'am, you can hit me wherever you like!”
Oh. Now wasn't that intriguing?
-----
Sanji sulked on the sidelines, fiddling with a lightly crumpled cigarette. Taking pity on him you sat down next to him. Sanji shot you a lazy grin, one that didn't quite reach his eyes. You smiled back, lightly pushing his shoulder.
“I should be mad at you, you could cost us the match.” You joked. Sanji grumbled, his words unintelligible. He could barely make out that ‘you wouldn't understand’ and ‘that he was weak okay!’
You laughed, eyes turning back to watch the match in front of you. You didn't feel too defeated, you trusted your captain.
“It's okay Ji. I don't think anyone could've gotten out faster than I did! You still did good!”
Sanji turned to you, hearts dancing in his eyes. “And who would dare throw balls at such beauty?! A lovely lady such as yourself shouldn't have even had to partake in such a barbaric display.”
“You saying I can't handle some balls? I happen to be very good at handling them.” You teased. The result was instantaneous, Sanji biting back a perverted laugh, a cute blush on his cheeks.
“Oh angel, really? I didn't expect you to be so saucy.”
There were many things that were undeniably true about you; You were in no way one of the stronger straw hats, you loved a good dirty joke, and you loved nothing more than making your little love cook squirm. If Sanji wanted to pretend all women were angels capable of no wrong, well, who were you to take advantage of that?
You feigned innocence, even cocking your head. “What do you mean? I didn't drop it once.”
Sanji squirmed, avoiding your gaze. You wanted to crack and snort loudly at his cute face. Instead you pursed your lips in thought.
“Love! I…uh-” he cut off when you couldn't hold it in anymore, a raucous laugh escaping you. He watched you slap your knee like it was the funniest thing in the world. He pouted. “(Name) that's not fair.”
“Oh relax, you big baby.” You cooed.
A steady silence resumed between you two, watching the match with bated breath. Things weren't looking so good. As the enemies advanced on Zoro, Chopper, and Luffy, so did you with your own attack.
“So.” You began. Sanji hummed in acknowledgement, eyes focused on the field. You paused. Was this really the time to flirt with the man? Probably not, but you were nothing if not an opportunist. You grinned at him, exaggerating his swooning.
“It'd be my pleasure ma'am, you can hit me wherever you like, hmm?”
‘You were a lady!’ Sanji reminded himself, trying to bite back a growl. You just loved to get under his skin, didn't you? He was flushed in embarrassment. It's not like he wanted to lose the match! It's not his fault he had a weakness for pretty women!
The crowd was aroar, you could hear your crew shouting. Oh. Zoro was out. Sanji began yelling at the swordsman, before he turned his attention back to you.
“So?” Sanji tried to sound unaffected. Your cute giggles reached his ears. Seriously! You were such a little tease, so cute, but so unattainable. You seemed to love riling him up, and he wanted nothing more than to make you his. He wasn't used to women not only reciprocating, but flirting back at a rate that made him dizzy.
Honestly, the both of you needed to stop being cowards and just confess already.
“Who's the ‘saucy’ one now? You're out here parading your little masochist streak.”
“I am not!” He blustered.
“Where were you hoping they'd hit anyway?” You purred out the question. Sanji tried ignoring you, focusing on the match, but he was one man! One currently very weak man.
You pouted. “I was just joking, Ji. Your kinks are your own. I'm not here to shame you for it.”
“It's not a kink!” He argued. You were relishing this. Sanji was always such a gentleman, so giving and dedicated to worshipping women. And yet, you, you were one of the only women you'd ever seen him snap at and lose his cool with, his hot temper getting the better of him.
Taking advantage of this you leant closer, your thighs touching. Sanji snapped out of his anger, eyes darting to where your half naked leg pressed against his long suit trouser-clad one. Too caught up in where you were touching him, he didn't notice how close your lips were to his ear.
“So you wouldn't like it if that pretty Porche lady pelted you with those dodgeballs? Or tied you up? Or manhandled you to make you be a good boy?”
Sanji was sweating, his heart eyes betraying him. Yeah, you knew your chef. You dropped your voice lower, bracing one hand on his chest.
“Forget hitting, what if she stepped on you? Would you like that, Sanji?”
The man in question whined, quiet pants escaped him, his eyes swirling with lust. He let his eyes fall closed, the dodgeball match long forgotten. Bingo! You felt yourself grow wet. Yes, you were a bad guy! It's just so easy to rile him up. Besides, Sanji would never spare you a passing glance, clear that you annoyed him. So what was the harm in airing out your frustrations like this?
“Love.” He gulped, shuffling around to change how he sat. You grinned at him wickedly. His reactions were so cute, you definitely overstepped the line.
“You didn't answer the question, cook. What if she stepped on your cock, hmm? Only lightly, of course, wouldn't wanna damage the goods.”
Sanji made a noise halfway between a groan and a choking sound, his hand darting up to grab the one you had pressed against his chest. You startled. You could see it in his eyes, the disgust, that unmistakable look of discomfort. Of course he wouldn't want to discuss this kind of stuff with you! You were one of the guys!
“Shit.” You withdrew your hand, not noticing how Sanji's tried to grab you. You'd definitely overstepped the line! “I'm so sorry Sanji, that was completely uncalled for.”
“Love.” He rasped. You were flustered, trying desperately not to stare at him.
The crowd was aroar, people around you jumping and shouting. You looked for a way out.
Wait? What the fuck?
A brown ball of fluff was lying crumpled on the court lines.
“Chopper! Oh shit!” You yelled, hurriedly getting to your feet. “Sanji I'm so sorry, I- you can yell at me about this later, I promise.”
Sanji watched you speed off, hurriedly running to their youngest member. He sighed out a breath he didn't realise he was holding. You were going to be the death of him! You'd made him so hard, so quick, and then, like a true tease dashed off before he could properly engage anything. When would you realise that it was you he wanted to treat him like that?
Later?
Yeah. Yeah he could yell about it later.
Right now, he needed a fucking smoke and a cold shower.
-----------
Looks like lingerie part 3 is coming i promise ;-; I'm just having trouble writing it ;-; here's a little drabble instead I do have SOOOOO many drabbles I've worked on in the mean time though?

Straw hat men headcanons (yeah, Yamato is here, don't ask shit)
Tw to abuse
Zoro
Autistic and semi-verbal. Only communicates through echolalia of his crew's words. Has absolutely no social abilities. Stares at people VERY intensely. Has a hard time telling lies apart from the truth, because of that, developed the habit to be always aware about others. Suffers from understimulation and often has shutdowns, the only person able to help him in those situations is Luffy.
Is visually impaired due to an accident on the Kuraigana Island. Has a hard time with profundity and adapting to new environments, specially big ones. Sometimes uses his swords to tap around and know if there is an object he hasn't noticed yet.
Colorblind and dyslexic. Avoids reading because he feels embarassed due to internalized ableism. Has a hard time telling apart blue, green, yellow, purple and red. Nobody knew that until Chopper made an eyesight analysis on him, so now the crew helps him with some stuff.
Has tan skin and, for literally everybody's surprise, actually dyes his hair (even though he doesn't bath), as it's original color is black. Very tall, large on the bust and muscular. Has various scars through all of his body.
Very gay and also trans. Transitioned shortly before he met Kuina, never came out. Didn't have surgery cuz he thought it could disturb his sword abilities, so he just worked out his chest so much that it would look like that (he had small breasts, so it helped a lot). Still struggles with internalized transphobia, but is working on it, specially after Sanji came out. They dated a little before timeskip and after it went full on a relationship. It's weird, but it works for them (basically, they show off like they hate each other, but on backstage it's just love).
Basically only eats onigiri due to taste hypersensitivity, nobody other than Chopper knows how he manages to be so muscular eating only that (Chopper knows about his nutrient reposition).
Likes green and green only. Everything he has must have at least one shade of green on it.
Half of his echolalia is swearing. Likes to do it specially when fighting.
His promise is so that Kuina will be the only one ever above him, the only one able to absolutely defeat him. Sometimes, he feels like Kuina is there. His heart aches.
After timeskip, calls Kuraigana Island frequently, as he got very used to Mihawk and Perona's company (will never admit that he now got a dad and a sister).
Besties with Nami, very protective towards Usopp although he doesn't seem like. Likes sparing with Yamato and hanging around with Jinbei, as he usually leaves him alone. Hates Robin's teasing and Law's resting bitch face, although he also has one. Carries Bonney and Chopper around the ship anytime he can, Luffy's best bro ever (if Luffy ever could choose a best friend, it would probably be Zoro) as they went through a lot of shit together.
Has absolutely no music taste, will listen to anything even if it's not good. Everyone is fucking horrified.
Before Law joined, he would spend an entire fucking week on the same clothing. Now, Law will spank him if he does so. Zoro changes exactly ONCE a day, and they all look the same.
Scared of choking or asfixiating, will keep plastic (?) bags away from the ship at all costs.
Learned to play some shamisen as a kid, but very little. Due to time, is kind of bad on doing it, but he tried nonetheless in Wano.
After he got lost so many times, Usopp had an idea: to keep a balloon tied to his wrist so they could locate him from far away. Zoro does not like this at all (he still uses the balloon though).
Talks to his swords. He doesn't care if people stare, he needs to get to know their opinion. Cherishes them like nakama.
Even though he is not the most expressive guy, especially when it comes to expressions of love, he still will protect them when in danger no matter the cost.
Franky
Autistic, loves infodumping, special interest is obviously ships, no social cues so he just says whatever comes to his mind, super is a vocal stim, will often get emotionally overloaded and cry a lot.
Has PTSD due to the abandonment of his bio parents, panicks a lot when it comes to falling on the sea. Needs to stay around the crew when it happens.
Left leg amputee ever since his childhood, after he became a cyborg his special focus of the upgrades go to the left leg as he has a special love for this specific prostetic.
Very tall, large and muscular, thanks to hormonal blockers and testo. Hair was originally blonde and he used to dye it blue, but, after timeskip, it's natural. Has many scars through his torso.
Trans king, found out after he was taken in by Tom and started on hormones. Had a crush on Robin ever since he met het, but was kind of embarassed to say it until the end of Thriller Bark. Mom and dad of the crew (and Sunny's).
Likes working in the night more due to it being calmer, so his sleep schedule is a mess. He doesn't care, that way he can talk to Sunny without being interrupted.
Loves blue, yellow and red, includes those in everything he creates.
Never swears, just says weird words instead of it. Everyone other than the straw hats does not get it. He just says, idk, "bazooka" and the straw hats are like "GAAASP NOT IN FRONT OF BONNEY AND CHOPPER" meanwhile outsiders are like "???????"
Very clingy towards Robin, keeps hugging her at every opportunity and telling her he loves her, specially after timeskip as they made alliance rings for their relationship.
Regularly calls Iceburg and speaks for two hours about how Sunny is doing. It's common, whenever Luffy adopts a new nakama he makes a tour with them telling every single detail about the ship.
Hangs around a lot with Brook and Jinbei cuz they are really cool. Carries Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Vivi, Chopper and Bonney around the ship because they are all smaller than him (and won't kill him). Bros with Yamato, they like sparing (Yamato likes sparing with everybody, but that's not the point).
Loves Taylor Swift and eletronic songs, sometimes improvise some rap. It's horrible, but he tries.
Walks around the ship basically only in swimming trunks. Nami always yells at him for that, but everybody knows he'll never stop.
Is as scared of bugs as Sanji and Nami. Sprays insect repellent everywhere possible.
Surprisingly good at breakdancing. He really rocks at it.
Has a Den Den Mushi for each nakama. He just likes to verify them at most times. It's kind of tied to anxiety, but it helps him.
Stims in every way possible: visual, vocal, auditory, fidgeting, motor, biting. He just really needs stimming. Like, at all times. It's stronger than him.
Always working really hard to adapt to danger and keep Sunny and the crew safe. He does his best.
Jinbei
Autistic, but masked most of his life due to ableism (is learning to undo it now). Temperature hypersensibility, way too formal social script, loves fluffy and squishy stuff, fidgets a lot, rocks back and forth on his feet, has much flappy hands, has shutdowns that include self-harm.
Much taller than the rest of the crew, has a lot of scars, long beard and hair, fat and kind of muscular (he very strong).
Aroace dad, is very embarassed towards romantic and sexual relationships, but tries to be supportive. Just found out aroace existed and was mindblown. He kinda confused but he got the spirit. Robin's favorite victim of playfully flirting (he gets so embarassed it's funny).
After he entered the crew, he had a hard time being around Nami due to the guilt he felt, but they had a really long talk and now it got better. She is now his second kid (first is Koala) and likes hanging around a lot with him, very clingy towards him at the first sign of danger.
Never swears and scolds the rest of the crew when they do, specially when it's the younger ones. Very dad energy.
The most huggable person of the crew. Has received at least 2 hugs from everyone, which is a miracle considering Zoro and Law.
No favorite colour. Everyone calls him lame for that and he goes :(
Calls Koala daily as she is always with Sabo. Sabo is scared of Koala's dad, even though he is very chill with them dating.
Takes care of the younger nakama. Usually the one to pull akuma no mi users out of water. One of those to put the leash on Luffy to stop him from doing shit. Zoro keeps wanting a sparing match, but he refuses.
Likes traditional music, but does not deny any other style, as long as the song is good.
Usually wears traditional clothing cause he got so used to it he'd feel weird in any other clothes.
Scared of Robin. He likes her, it's just that she sometimes is so creepy he thinks she is going to kill him. Robin can never know this, of course.
Likes writing fanfic about other people. This comes from the time when he was a shichibukai and he wrote about his colleagues. It's a secret, of course, nobody can know.
Reads journal regularly and is the one in the most touch with the rest of the world's news when they are on the sea.
Likes touching his beard. It's fluffy. Because of it, they bought a plushie for him to sleep with. He cried because of his happiness.
Due to being big, strong and an ex-shichibukai, his very presence can make most malicious people go away. The crew grabs him along most times they get to an island.
Yamato
Autistic, special interest is Oden and sake. No social cues reading, speaks very loudly, doesn't know how to match face, tone and emotion, hyposensitive to sound, sake is comfort food (drink?), variates from meltdown to shutdowns in the lack of constant stim.
Has PTSD due to being imprisoned and spanked by Kaidou. Hates confined places and anything that might restrain him. People bigger than him usually make him very uncomfortable. Just as he entered the crew, Chopper started marking his appointments.
VERY tall and also muscular, with many scars through his body. Has some oni characteristics, like the horns and pointy teeth. Hasn't changed his appearance since he came out as he is actually very comfortable with it, so he sometimes just walks around the ship with his boobs showing.
The Trans Idol Ever (like Hatsune Miku). Even though he appreciates Ivankov a lot, he also really likes his body, so he doesn't feel the need to transition with hormones or surgery. Very gay too, dating Ace on distance (shut the fuck up Akainu) and they get really clingy every time they get to find each other.
One of the physically strongest nakama, nobody wins him in arm wrestling (at least, not before an hour). Likes sparing with everyone, specially Law. There's just something about him that gets to his nerves.
Loves orange and light green. It fits him.
Is learning how to swear after leaving Wano and Kaidou's influence. Almost always screams.
Third one to eat the most, right before Bonney and Luffy. They sometimes become truly Sanji's terror.
Loves sparing with everyone, but specially Zoro. Carries Luffy, Chopper and Bonney around cause they are much smaller. Listens to Franky's infodumping for many hours without blinking an eye. Is creeped out by Robin cause she keeps appearing behind him without making a single noise.
Has been exploring his musical side, and specially likes punk rock. It's wild. He likes it.
Doesn't change clothes from Wano just because of practical reasons. Just like Zoro, almost never showers, just with the bros (Law is scandalized with the lack of hygiene of these people).
Fears cats cause they are too unpredictable. They look like they wanna murder him.
Likes painting, specially on walls. It's actually very pretty, both Franky and Sunny approve.
Loves hearing the crew's stories. It's beautiful.
Stims from hitting/punching stuff. It varies from small objects to people. It's kind of wild.
Will rip your throat with his own teeth if you say anything about his crew.

So according to Bulbapedia (or Serebii, I forgor) the time difference between our world to legends arceus is one minute here = one hour there. Assuming the self aware AU's time still runs like that even after you close the game, one day here is 60 days there, more or less 2 months. Which means if the player plays PLA, say, 1 and ½ hour every day, the people of Hisui are graced with their god's presence for nearly 4 days straight every 2 months.
And that's assuming the player also doesn't take breaks from doing it. Nevermind dropping it for years, if you stop playing for a week, Volo would already be begging on his knees for an explanation and pleading for forgiveness (becuase of course his first few conclusions would be that they've done something wrong) since, for him, you've left them for a year without any explanations.
Which makes some shenanigans even funnier. In my case, since I wanted a main team with a shiny Zoroark and an alpha Braviary before the main story progresses, I'd go hunt them before quelling Avalugg. (At the time, I didn't know that random alpha spawns were only available after you quell the noble so I wasted a lot of time lmao. Still working on the shiny Zorua tho.) For the most part of that, I already grabbed the eternal ice but actively avoided the next main story interaction since I thought it would trigger the noble battle. And this search lasted for weeks before I decided to finally trigger that dialogue.
And whaddaya know, it didn't trigger the noble battle, and it was just Volo and Gaeric talking in the snow. Which means I've left them standing in the middle of the cold, day and night, sometimes enduring blizzards, for multiple years before I finally came and Volo instantly ran away from the area (and Gaeric continues to suffer bc I still won't progress w/o my shiny Zoro)
When I read Volo saying "Oh, have some mercy! Can't you see I'm dying (to tell you what I've learned)?" and "...well, I did want to see that Avalugg but perhaps not at the cost of my life. So I suppose my freezing digits and I will be off!", I immediately burst out laughing while feeling slightly guilty about that.

Poor Volo, having to be stuck in place for ages because the strings of code force him to do so
I always liked to imagine perhaps if the game was off, people in a self aware au could wander around as if everything was normal. They are just stuck to one spot when you play.
But that still makes a funny scenario.
You boot up the game after making them all wait ages, just to keep Volo in the snow again for days. He swears he gets a cold every time he finally can go home-

•°♤°• Read a Zosan fic where every single male (Except for the male Strawhats; compliments here and there) is attracted to Sanji and I'm so here for that. But think, what would happen if this thing happened in the ASL x Sanji or God AU? That would be so fuking funny and hilarious that alot of men are down bad for this beautiful blond cook with blue eyes with muscular legs and a gable waist.
I would also like to add for the God au that before Sanji lost his godly status and life, he placed the inability to all DF users to be unable to swim. This is their punishment because of what the WG did to the gods (Ex: Sabo, Ace, and Luffy).
First: Yeah, Sanji was fucking pissed and absolutely told the Elders and the World Government to get fucked during the void century and wrapped his most prized creations, amalgamations with the god of life, taking the ability to swim away. If they want to fuck with the gods the gods will fuck right back. Sanji was more than giving, he gave far more than he was worshipped which led to his followers always singing their praises to the ocean, so after the void century his followers were distraught to find the fruits, now called devil fruits because if you eat one you have betrayed the ocean, betrayed him. He is a god who forgives easily, you just need to give it back, it only costs your life. His partners had never seen the god so enraged because he used to bestow fruits to those were so utterly devoted to him or his fellow gods. Now? It doesn't matter if all three of his husbands have eaten a fruit, Ace and Sabo were old enough to remember what happened, Luffy might not have been but it doesn't matter, they do not get leeway either. It's probably a really fucking dark joke he makes despite how often he does save them, just grins at them and says he could always get his fruits back if they want to swim so bad. Sabo didn't eat a fruit in this from what I can find so Sabo spears Sanji overboard quite a bit to avoid his brothers.
I did read that fic as well I think? But like could you imagine the crew are meeting the other gods for whatever reason(how much do you think it would fuck with the romance dawn trio if Buggy was a god? Or the Cross Guild and Shanks?) And a lot of the gods and others are just flirting with Sanji. Nothing new, he's a handsome guy. He is married though, he has the marks from his godly spouses claiming him just as they do from him. Buggy is ruffling their hair and avoiding Luffy because he can't play nice with the god of luck and travelers in this life. Buggy looks at Zoro and just goes 'oh no, poor baby' and does nothing to fix his sense of direction because Buggy is a trickster god, tell me otherwise. Sanji is of course used to striking deals with the clown in past lives for the wayward travelers but also Buggy redirects so many gods from Sanji and tells the blond to quit being born pretty and Sanji rolls his eyes.
There's gods left and right grabbing Sanji and Buggy is sending body parts whenever Zoro and Luffy are distracted by some other god of whatever as they plan their assault on the Elders. The crews are fucking weirded out by the sheer godly power in front of them and how close the gods are to each other. Also Mihawk has to be digging deep into himself to find out the weakling of the Roger pirates is the god of luck and travelers and distracting so many gods from his normal waiter from Baratie who is the god of the ocean. Also Buggy keeps riling up Luffy and splitting apart to escape the sun god. Also he distinctly remembers Ace showing off his godly body at Marineford and watches him shoot off with the blond a few times. Sabo, the chief of staff for the revolutionaries for heaven's sake straight up attacks several gods for getting too handsy with his husband. Mihawk calls Shanks later and asks if he knew Buggy was a god like Luffy or Ace and the silence from Shanks on the other end of the denden is very telling as Crocodile is screaming next to him about how many gods there are and the strawhat crew has. This is a true test of will for them.
(I just had to make buggy the god of luck and travelers it's so him I'm not sorry)

something to get used to (zoro x reader)
Summary: Both you and Zoro are afraid to lose each other and take too long to finally admit it.
Rating: G
AO3 link is in the replies to this post! I am a complete sucker for character A getting angry and avoiding character B at all costs, so here is an entirely self-indulgent fic and I hope you enjoy :)
***
Zoro had screwed up. Royally.
It wasn’t exactly new for him, but this time, even he could tell it was a big one, seeing as it had been days since she had last spoken to him.
At some point, Nami, who usually kept her nose out of things like this, had snapped at him for being an “insensitive ass”. While he certainly hadn’t appreciated the brutal honesty or choice of words, he knew she was right. Even Robin had intervened, telling him in that usual nonchalant tone of hers that he should probably do something about it soon.
The thing was, he was trying, okay? It wasn’t like he was sitting on his ass and doing absolutely nothing. He had been trying to approach said crewmate for days now, but each time he tried, she would deliberately avoid eye contact, ignore his calls of her name and would be out of his sight within seconds of him spotting her. How big was this ship, anyway? It was starting to get ridiculous, the fact that it was this difficult to track down a single person, even if she didn’t want to be found.
Frankly, the whole thing was starting to grate on his nerves too. How was he supposed to apologise to someone who was clearly not interested in being in the same room as him? Just this morning, he had spotted her in the kitchen talking to Sanji, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t get annoyed at how she was chuckling at the love cook’s shitty jokes and bad pick-up lines. He’d tried to approach her, but before he could even get close it seemed she had sensed that he was there, and before he knew it, she was already on her feet and scuttling out of the room with her head down. Sanji could only stand there, stunned by the abrupt end to their conversation.
The cook had promptly shot a glare in Zoro’s direction, which the swordsman returned evenly.
All in all, Zoro was at his wit’s end here, and he was running out of ideas. And patience.
A sudden jerk on the boat had him nearly losing his balance, and shouts coming from the deck snapped Zoro out of his thoughts. From the crow’s nest he looked out the window, where a huge fleet of navy ships had gathered and which were quickly approaching the Sunny. Looking down, he noticed that the entire crew was gathering on the deck, including her.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he rushed out of the crow’s nest and leaped down, landing smoothly on the deck with the rest of the crew, right next to her. Again, she didn’t acknowledge his presence, her eyes fixated stubbornly on the enemy in front of them.
A small sigh escaped him as he readied himself for what was coming. He supposed the apology would have to wait for now.
***
You were being petty, and you knew it.
You should have already known the kind of person Zoro was by now: strong, fiercely loyal, and brave in the face of danger. He may be rough around the edges, his words often curt and harsh, but otherwise you knew that he was really a softie at heart and would do anything for his crew.
And it was precisely that part of him that worried you to no end. If it came down to it, you knew Zoro was prepared to sacrifice anything, including himself, as long as his friends were safe.
That was why you had ended up losing your temper at him, after the crew barely managed to get away from Kizaru and Akainu after a recent brush with them. He had suffered severe burns in his attempt to help the crew escape, and because you hadn’t managed to duck out of the way in time. You should have been the one to suffer those injuries, but instead Zoro’s right arm had nearly been burned all the way through. It would have been worse than that if Franky hadn’t managed to refuel the ship just in time for a coup de burst then, that allowed all of you to narrowly escape.
Thankfully, Chopper was able to save Zoro and fix his arm — the little reindeer had told everyone that if the injury had been any deeper, he wouldn’t have been able to use his arm like before.
You had stayed behind in the men’s quarters to wait for Zoro to wake up. You had thought carefully about what you wanted to say, to ask if he was doing okay, to thank him for saving you or you might have been dead.
But when he woke up and relief flooded you, your thoughts went haywire and the only thing you blurted out was:
“Why did you save me? You shouldn’t have done that.”
You hadn’t meant for it to come out that way, or to sound that angry or frustrated with him. Zoro had done you a huge favour, but you were reacting as if he had wronged you somehow.
It was no wonder the swordsman had responded the way he had: frowning, his tone frigid as he snapped at you to leave him alone and that he could do whatever the hell he wanted.
By then you weren’t thinking anymore, moving and speaking entirely based on the emotions you felt: a storm of worry, regret, frustration, anger coursing through your veins. You had never been one to be able to hide your emotions well, and it all showed in your voice and tightly clenched fists that shook by your sides.
The argument rapidly escalated, and it didn’t take long for the crew outside to hear the raised voices. By then the both of you were going at each other without restraint, and Usopp and Chopper had to hold you back while you yelled at Zoro for being stupid and senseless in battle, for thinking that he could protect the crew all by himself.
That seemed to trigger something in him, and you could see his eyes turn dark as he went livid. You knew you had gone too far then, and you were about to apologise, except that you were swiftly interrupted by his next words:
“That’s my business, not yours. Just stay out of my way.”
Silence. A deep, heavy silence filled the room.
You knew that it was just Zoro mouthing off in the heat of the moment, but it didn’t change the fact that the words had cut you deeper than any blade could. The inexplicable pain that bubbled up deep within your chest had you flinching, your words dying instantly on your tongue. You knew what was coming when you felt a familiar lump in your throat and moisture gathering in the back of your eyes.
At that moment, you didn’t really know what else you could do, other than run. So without another word, you had shrugged Usopp’s grip off your arms and fled the room, the sound of the closing door cutting off the cries of your crewmates for you to wait.
A few days had passed since then, but you still couldn’t bring yourself to look him in the eye, or even be anywhere near him. It felt like you might burst into tears if you did, and crying was the last thing you wanted to do in front of him.
Deep down, you knew that Zoro was right. What happened to him wasn’t your business at all, and if he wanted to protect his crew at the cost of his own body, it was his choice and you couldn’t change that. Nor was it your place to tell him what he could or couldn’t do.
The rest of the crew obviously had their share of concerns for him as well, but it seemed they had already come to accept that Zoro wouldn’t change. The stubborn swordsman had his own set of values that were pretty much set in stone and he wouldn’t budge on them.
So fine. You would stop caring. You would stay in your lane and not give a shit about what he did with his life. After all, that was what he wanted, right?
Except, you couldn’t, and you knew damn well the reason why.
Zoro may be dense, but you were no fool. You knew what those butterflies stirring in your abdomen meant whenever you saw that trademark, cocky smirk of his. You knew why you would find yourself breathless and lightheaded when you got a bit too close while training with him in the crow’s nest. And you knew perfectly well the reason you had been so deeply hurt by his words, by the implication that he wanted nothing to do with you, or you with him:
You had fallen hopelessly for this man.
…and you didn’t know what the hell you should do with these feelings.
For now, burying it was the only answer you could come up with. It was clear enough that romance was far from Zoro’s mind. From what you could observe, it looked like the only things he really had any interest in was training, getting stronger, protecting his friends, and his ambition to become the strongest swordsman there was. That, and drinking lots of booze.
Romance? It would only slow him down, no doubt. Serve as nothing more than a distraction from his dream. And even if romance was on the cards, Zoro clearly felt nothing for you; that much had been made clear by what he said to you a few days ago.
In any case, you had no time to dwell on these things. It was only distracting you from the huge fight at hand. A whole fleet of navy ships had finally caught up to the Sunny, and from what you could tell, Kizaru and Akainu were back, fully intent on achieving their goal of nabbing the crew after failing once already.
You were occupied with fending off a whole crowd of marines. While they were lower-ranked, their numbers were slowly but surely pushing you back, and before long they had already encircled you, trapping you in.
No one else was free enough to help, each of them engaged in their own battles at the moment. From the corner of your eye you could see Zoro, struggling to keep up with the pace of Kizaru’s attacks. His movements were duller than usual, no doubt because he still hadn’t fully recovered from the last battle. It was clear that Zoro was losing ground, however, and all you could think of was that you had to back him up as soon as possible.
Just as you fought off another few dozen marines, sending them flying into the sea with your sword, a bright gleam of light caught your attention.
You turned in that direction, and instantly the colour drained from your face when you saw Zoro on his knees, bleeding out and his swords nowhere in sight. Kizaru loomed over him, his raised foot glowing with a blinding yellow light.
Time seemed to move in slow motion then, and the cries of your crewmates of Zoro’s name faded into the background, muffled as if you were underwater. Mustering strength you didn’t know you possessed, you knocked back the rest of the marines in your way, clearing the path towards Zoro.
Your body acted on instinct, moving before you could even think or register what you were doing. All you knew was that you had to get to him, before it was too late. You couldn’t lose him. You just couldn’t.
Even the thought of it was too much to bear.
Zoro was the only person in your line of sight as you surged forward, bolting through the air with such speed that the wind fiercely resisted in your face. You dove for the floor then, shoving Zoro out of the way as far as you could. He was heavy, but you managed somehow.
The next thing you knew, you felt a sharp pain in your abdomen, which quickly spread to the rest of your body and you couldn’t hold back the scream that tore from your lips. You had been hit, your body breaking through the wood of the deck and the sheer weight of the force knocking the wind out of you.
It felt like an eternity before you finally took in a sharp gasp of air, and when you did, a white hot pain surged through your body and you had to bite down on your lip to keep from screaming again.
You couldn’t muster any strength to move, only able to let out a pained whimper when you felt a pair of strong arms grabbing you, dragging you out of the broken wood and holding you against a warm chest.
Your vision was blurry now, everything a haze, but you could still make out green hair, and that annoying face that had occupied your mind for days now. It looked like he was shouting something at you, but you couldn’t really hear him. Your consciousness was fading, and you tasted the metallic tang of blood before spitting a mouthful out onto your shirt.
There was a hand on your cheek now, and Zoro was shaking you to keep you awake. The jerk was only making the pain worse. Still, it worked for a few seconds.
Then the exhaustion came like a tidal wave, and you found yourself rapidly succumbing to it.
Just before your eyes slipped close, through the small slit of light left you kept your gaze on him, offering an upward twitch of your lips — hopefully that would make things right with him, after you had chickened out of a talk with him for so long. He deserved better than this, but this was all you could offer.
A final cry of your name rang in your ears, and then your world turned black.
***
It had been two days. Two days since they managed to get away from the navy, and she was still in a coma, showing no signs of waking up. Chopper had to do a blood transfusion for her seeing as she had lost a lot of blood, but for some reason she still hadn’t woken up.
Zoro was practically losing his mind from worry, and resentment at the fact that he had been stupid enough to give Kizaru the chance to attack him like that, and that she had nearly been killed while trying to save him.
For all that training, he was still too weak to protect the people he cared about. All he could do was stay by her side while she rested in the women’s quarters, hoping that she would wake up soon. The rest of the crew was worried too of course, but they seemed hopeful enough that she would recover in no time. One by one, they had taken turns to tell him the same thing, and while it quelled his anxiety just slightly, it didn’t take away the heavy, suffocating weight on his chest each time he looked at her sleeping face.
“Staying here and not eating isn’t going to make her wake up faster.” Nami’s voice came from the doorway, and Zoro frowned in her direction.
“Later. I’m not hungry.”
He heard her sigh, and then the sound of her approaching footsteps.
“She’ll be worried if she sees you like this too, you know.” She stopped by the other side of the bed, placing her palm on the sleeping woman’s forehead. “I’ll watch her for now. Go get some air, and take a bath. You stink,” she added as an afterthought.
Any other day he would have barked right back at her for that, but Zoro didn’t have the energy to argue with Nami right then. Knowing there was no way he could out-argue her, he got up and left the room, but not before casting a lingering stare at the sleeping woman over his shoulder.
He supposed he would have to wait a while before making things right with her. He just hoped it wouldn’t take too long.
***
When you woke up, you were greeted with the familiar sight of the ceiling of the women’s quarters. Your head throbbed with a dull pain, and you winced, trying to recall what had happened.
The last thing you remembered was passing out in Zoro’s arms after taking one of Kizaru’s hits. How long had it been since then? Were the rest of your friends okay?
Was Zoro safe?
Remembering the state that Zoro had been in just before you dove and pushed him out of the way, panic seized you and you rushed to sit up. You weren’t able to get up all the way though, pausing when you realised your hand was caught in something.
Your eyes dropped down, widening in surprise when you realised that your fingers were interlaced with someone else’s fingers. Your gaze trailed upwards, and found Zoro resting his head on the bed, sound asleep while seated in a chair that he had placed next to your side.
What… What was he doing here? And why the heck was he holding your hand?
You tried pulling your hand out of his grasp, but found that his grip was a little too tight. Had Chopper assigned him here to make sure you didn’t get out of bed?
You didn’t want to wake the man though; suddenly your bravado from before had vanished. Without the adrenaline, you were back to your pathetic, cowardly self who was too afraid to talk to him, in fear that he might discover your feelings for him. Not to mention, you didn’t want to cry; at least not in front of him. It would only make him feel bad for something that wasn’t his fault.
Carefully and gingerly, you tried to lift his fingers and extracted your fingers from his hold, one by one. With each finger that you lifted you noticed how calloused and rough his skin had become, no doubt from the countless battles and hours of gruelling training he would subject himself to every day. You were already smiling to yourself without realising it, chest swelling with the hope that he would one day be able to achieve his dream. If it was Zoro, you knew he could do it.
It took a few minutes, but you were eventually able to get most of your hand free without waking the swordsman. He looked exhausted, and was probably recovering from his own set of injuries as well.
It was just when you were about to get your last finger free that his hand suddenly grabbed yours again, and then you found yourself staring into a pair of piercing brown eyes.
Your breath caught, and you practically forgot how to breathe when Zoro sprang up, the sleepiness completely gone from his eyes. His eyes were on you, and his grip on your hand had become tighter.
“Zoro—” You could barely get a word out, before you felt his arms encircling you, and crashing your body to his chest.
He was warm. Big. And everything felt right.
His hold on you was tight, caging you in completely and leaving no room for you to wriggle away. Your hands were on his chest right next to either side of your face, and against your palm you felt his strong pulse, beating about as rapidly as yours was.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing he said, and it was the first time you had ever heard his voice waver. Zoro, the man who was always confident, sure and brazen, had never sounded more raw, more vulnerable to you in that moment, and for a while you didn’t know how to react other than to stay still and listen to his shaky breaths.
“I didn’t understand until you took that blow for me,” he went on, and as he did you felt his arms tighten around you, pressing you closer to him. “I shouldn’t have said that to you. I’m sorry.”
“It’s… It’s not your fault,” you replied, as tears gathered in your eyes. Damn it, this was why you didn’t want to talk; you just knew this would happen. Thankfully, him holding you meant he couldn’t see your face, but it did mean that he would easily feel your tears through his shirt. It took every fibre of your being to hold them in.
“I overstepped, and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have reacted that way when you just wanted to protect us, and I didn’t have the guts to talk to you about it until now, even though I know you were trying. Sorry.”
“Quit saying that. I’m trying to apologise to you here.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle at that. Zoro was just as grumpy as ever.
“Why’d you do that? I could have taken it.” He was referring to Kizaru’s kick.
You could only shrug in response. “I don’t know. My body was moving before I could think. I just… didn’t want you to get hurt.”
“The same goes for me, you know,” he said, and those words filled you with some kind of hope. Hope that maybe he had the same feelings for you. But that was instantly crushed when he followed up with, “We’re nakama. I don’t want you getting hurt for me either.”
It was like getting a bucket of cold water to the face. Of course, you had known it all along: Zoro only saw you as a friend. Nothing more, nothing less. At least now you knew, so your feelings could stay buried until they eventually disappeared with time.
“But, it’s not just that.”
You felt him pull away then, to hold you by your arms and look you in the eye. His expression was serious, and you felt your face begin to heat up under his intense stare. Instinctively, you looked away.
“Look at me.”
His words were commanding, and you obeyed, meeting his gaze once more. They were burning with an emotion that you couldn’t quite identify.
“That day, when I saw you nearly get cut down, I… was afraid.” His fingers dug into your arms, and he looked downwards briefly. “I was afraid of losing you.”
You swallowed, not quite sure where this was going. In your head, this was easy enough to rationalise. “Well, that’s because we’re nakama.”
Zoro shook his head, the skin on his forehead crinkling with a frown. “I’ve been with the crew for a while now, and each time we had a close shave like that, I was afraid of losing them too. But this time, it was different.” His eyes returned to yours, locking onto your gaze and your parted lips. “It was different, because it was you.”
You didn’t know what to make of that. Or rather, you knew, but you were afraid to draw that conclusion on your own, lest you get disappointed once more.
“What… are you saying?”
“What I’m saying is,” he responded, his lips turning up into a gentle smile, one so tender that it made your heart melt, “I have feelings for you.”
Your heart may as well have stopped then. You blinked at him, doing a double take as you tried to register his words. Feelings? You? But what about nakama—
“I don’t expect you to return them, so don’t overthink things,” Zoro continued, cutting off your frenzied train of thought. He must have been able to tell from the confusion written all over your face. “Nothing’s going to change.”
A beat of silence passed, with neither of you saying anything.
Eventually, Zoro found it awkward enough to clear his throat and to release your arms from his grip. “Anyway, I should get Chopper in here. He told me to let him know when you woke up.”
The sound of the chair legs scraping against wood was the only sound in the room as he got up to leave, but he was swiftly halted in his tracks as your hand grabbed his wrist to hold him back.
He watched wordlessly as you got off the bed, and you held back a grimace at the pain throbbing in your abdomen. You’d be an idiot if you allowed him to walk away after saying all that. His confession had been short and straight to the point, exactly the way Zoro was.
And, just like Zoro tended to do, it had also pissed you off a little, and that anger was stirring up in you a boldness that you couldn’t muster before.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?”
He seemed to be taken aback at the sudden ferocity in your tone, and didn’t seem to expect to be manhandled when you grabbed him by the collar without warning and yanked him towards you, until your noses were barely touching. His eyes were blown wide, and you could see his face begin to turn red from the proximity. Up close like this, you could feel his warm breaths on your face.
“You didn’t ask me what I think,” you told him in an almost-whisper, and you watched as he swallowed, uncertainty swimming in his eyes.
“What do you—”
You pressed your lips to his then, cutting off whatever stupid excuse he had to say in his defence. He always did this, assuming things on his own and jumping to his own conclusions.
Then again, you had gone ahead and done the exact same thing, so you were probably being a hypocrite.
Not that you really cared; all that you could focus on then was his lips against yours, gentle and tender and soft. You had released your grip on his collar by then, instead resting your one hand on his hard chest while the other wrapped around his neck to pull him closer.
Zoro didn’t show any resistance; in fact, he quite eagerly leaned into you, arms snaking around your waist to press your curves against his body and to deepen the kiss. Things slowly grew bolder, more daring as you felt his tongue sweep across the seam of your lips. You obliged, parting your lips for him and your knees nearly buckled when his tongue entered your mouth, sliding against your tongue and swallowing the soft moan that had unwittingly escaped you.
“Zoro…”
You felt his fingers in your hair then, and with a soft pull he tipped your head back, angling your face so that he could deepen the kiss with renewed vigour. You couldn’t help but be swept along with his pace, allowing him to kiss you over and over and over, each kiss an affirmation that his confession was real, that he had wanted you just as much as you had wanted him all this time.
The realisation had your chest swelling with joy, and there was no stopping the big smile that your lips spread into, which forced him to pull away from the kiss. Breathing heavily, Zoro rested his forehead against your head, allowing your noses to touch.
“So tell me again, nothing’s going to change?” you taunted, licking your lips and smirking at the man.
“Heh.” With a chuckle and a devilish grin that made you almost forget how to breathe, Zoro lowered his lips towards yours once more.
“I guess this is something I could get used to.”

Drunken in Love // Zoro x Reader PT.2
Tumblr media
❥note ;; part two! Yaya, i will be making a part three too :)
❥summary/tw ;; You’ve avoided Zoro, but at what cost? // Cursing, not proofread
Tumblr media
The past two weeks have been you just running and hiding from Zoro ever since that night. Although you craved to talked to him.
You were in cross roads. You didn’t know what to do. You’ve been stuck in your thoughts since then, and everyone’s noticed. Even Zoro.
You thought after all that the two of you would talk more, but you had to go and ruin it by avoiding him. Why did you? You didn’t really know yourself.
You felt nervous around him all of a sudden. Seeing him made your heart speed up and cause you to turn around right before you were going to go up to him.
You didn’t know if he felt the same.
And so you leaned against the railing looking out at the sea.
“What are you doing here?” Robin had approached you, and you sighed loudly. Resting your chin in your hands.
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know?” She questioned you as she took place on the railing next to you. “You’ve been off these past couple weeks. I’ve also noticed how you look at Zoro.”
You blushed and stutter. “What are you talking about? I don’t run from him, or hide for that matter!” She laughs causing you to look at her in shock.
“You proved my point. What happened”
“We kissed,” You bite your lip thinking back on that night. “but we were drunk! I don’t even know if I meant it.. I liked it, but what if he didn’t?”
“Have you spoken to him at all?”
“No, I wanted too but every time I get near him I lose my mind. It fogs up and all I can think about is that night.” You groan and throw your head up. “I don’t know what to do.”
“You should talk to him.” She stated plainly. “In the best way possible, everyone is noticing you’re being funny. Even him.”
“Really?”
“He mentioned it last night whenever you took off after dinner when he tried to talk to you.”
You think back to last night. Everyone was eating and Zoro attempted to talk to you. You got all flustered and said you needed to leave.
“He looked distressed too.” And with that Robin left you to your own thoughts once more.
You let out another frustrated sigh and turn to walk towards your room.
You don’t know when you fell asleep but you did. You woke up with loud knocking at your door.
“Yeah? Coming.”
You open the door and rub your eyes, not realizing who it was.
“I was told to come get you for dinner.” Zoros voice rang through your ears and you were tempted to slam the door shut and hide away. But Robins words remained in your head.
Zoro watched as you shifted and your eyes widen. He was tempted to just turn around and go.
“Now that you’re up, i’ll be going.” You grab his hand as he turns and he looks back at you with a brow raised.
“Uhm- wait for me, let me get dressed.” You smiled and gesture for him to come in.
He walks in and shuts the door, looking around your room. You had things from your niche scattered around the desks and on the walls.
He took notice of the pictures of you and some of the other crew. He felt a bit sad there wasn’t one of you two.
You rummage through some of your clothes and find a nice shirt and shorts. As you go to pull your shirt up you turn around quickly. Remembering Zoro was there. His eyes widen before he turns around and you change clothes.
He clears his throat. “Ready?”
You hum out a reply and the two of you walked silently to the kitchen.
Upon arriving the two of you went your separate ways once again. You sat in between Robin and Sanji. “What happened?” Robin noticed the two of you had walked in together.
“It was awkward! I tried to do what you said.” You thought you probably fucked up too much. Or maybe he really did hate you. She giggled at you and helped you to some food.
An hour passed and everyone was still chatting over dinner. You’ve had a couple drinks and Sanji was now flirting with you and Nami.
“I could treat you better than anyone. I’ll cook for you everyday.” He cooed at you and you just laughed.
“I’m being serious. I’ll marry you one d-“ Suddenly Zoro stood up abruptly and stormed off out of the kitchen.
“Huh?” You watched him go and blinked. Robin nudged your side and you looked over at her. She whispered something and you nodded, chasing after Zoro.
By the time you got out there you couldn’t find him. Going up to the crows nest, his napping spots, even the gym. You thought maybe he was in his room. You sighed and decided to go head in for the night.
“Why must it all be so complicated.” You kicked your feet around and kept your head low.
You reached your room and noticed Zoro standing by your door. “Z-zoro?” He looked up at you and you noticed him frowning.
You stopped next to him and he spoke up. “We need to talk.” You felt worried. What was he going to say?
“Zoro-“
“And no you’re not running this time.” He grabs your hand and pulls you into your room. Pinning you to the door once it was shut.
“I-“
“Shut up.” He grit his teeth and avoided eye contact. He smelled of rum once again. And you were a bit tipsy yourself. If you weren’t you were sure you’d have pushed him out and hid away for more weeks.
You bite your lip. Even now you couldn’t help but just stare at him. The silence was painful. “Zoro.. i’m sorry.”
“Why? Why are you sorry? Why did you ignore me after that night? I was- I was happy I thought we gotten close.” He was outraged and hurt. You heard it in his voice.
“I know- We are close! I just I was worried okay?”
“Worried about what?“ His eyes now laid on your own. His breathing ragged and his arms caged you in.
“I don’t know-“
“You don’t know?” He scoffed. “Just forget it, let’s just be strangers yeah?”
“No! I don’t want that. I was nervous Zoro. I didn’t know if you felt the same.” He listened to you. “I wanted to approach you, to go up to you and talk but I was a coward.” You dropped your head and you felt your eyes begin to water. “I was scared okay?”
Zoros gaze softened and he groans slamming his hand against the wall before turning away from you. “Do you know how bad I felt? I thought I made a mistake by kissing you. I thought it was my fault and then that stupid cook!” He scoffed in jealousy. “Mumbling about how he’s going to marry ya.”
You laughed. His head snaps towards you. “Zoro, you really think i’d merry Sanji? He’s cool and all but definitely not my type.” You couldn’t help but giggle. Zoro turns his body back towards you.
“Then what’s your type?”
“Hmm.” You tap your chin for a second. “Someone strong. Preferably into swords, someone who naps a lot and has bad sense in direction.”
“I don’t have bad sense in direction!” You smiled at him.
His eyes widen once he realized who you were talking about.
“After that night I really wanted to talk to you again but I found myself just running away. I shouldn’t have.” You began to apologize once again. “Maybe we could have talked all w-“ You were cut off when he slammed his lips into your own. His hands found way to your hips as he pressed you against the door frame once again.
Eyes shutter closed as his lips press against yours. Your arms wrap around his neck. He pulls back and rests his forehead on yours. “Be mine.” He gulps and takes your hand in his, pressing it to his beating chest. “You do this to me. Every time I see you. Hear you speak. Be mine.”
“Zoro..” You looked into his eyes; he brought your hand up to his cheek and he nudged into your palm.
“You’re crazy if you think i’ll say no.” You smiled at him. This was enough to cause him to slam his lips back into yours.

Zoro x Fem! Reader
Sense and sensibility. Common sense, the ability to decide what is most appropriate and evaluate situations, but what happens when that common sense is carried away by sensibility?...

Have you ever wondered if there is life beyond planet Earth? Would something be so strange? The closest thing we could share the Milky Way with would be the famous extraterrestrials. But could another form of life identical to us exist in the entire cosmos?
Cold night and fresh wind, a clear sky where the protagonists were only the constellations and a shooting star passing through the sky, a shooting star that left a trail of white smoke, but shooting stars don't do that, do they?
It was an impressive speed at which it was going, which little by little was going down until it hit the surface.
A terribly directed landing that caused a loud scandal, there was no shortage of the great disaster that followed it, the shooting star or rather what was a ship, impact between the earth and the dirt scraped so abruptly, smoke constantly coming out of the machine while a of the doors opened.
Quickly a man emerged from that spaceship, two swords occupying his hands and a mask covering his mouth and eyes, mint green hair slightly disheveled by all the impact, gray eyes examining the perimeter and analyzing any possible threat, 3 golden earrings hanging from his ear left and a scar decorating his left eye
Meanwhile, a young girl left the ship silently, avoiding paying his attention to her, fresh air to breathe and a grove of trees, a perfectly pleasant place to explore, completely leaving that ship that was jumbled between a throne branch, causing his attention to be drawn to you
“This is” You asked, looking at the environment that surrounded you, a wild and wooded environment, you could continue contemplating it until you felt a quick impact that caused your head to be covered “Zoro!”
“Gh! It's necessary! You are the princess and you decide to go down as if nothing had happened" That man cursed, but even as he cursed it was clear that his true intentions were to act as quickly as possible to prevent his protégé from being in any danger, even if it cost him life, noticing how he had stopped breathing by keeping his chest inflated, a sign of oxygen retention and of course, avoiding speaking so as not to waste resources
“This is not necessary” You mentioned removing the helmet from your face, you felt the cool night breeze hit your face again “I don't think this is contaminated”
The man seemed to frown more when his face, stunned to discover that this place had nothing toxic and had unfortunately caused a scene, looked slightly to the sides, raising his shoulders, clicking his tongue and resting his hand on the katanas again in a gesture of ignoring what happened.
“Still, it was a careless gesture.” You could see some of the seriousness, even the way in which he quickly, although almost imperceptibly, improved his posture “In another situation things would not have gone well.”
“But we are not in that situation, right?”
You stared at him and he looked at you with his only open eye of that sharp steel color that stabbed into you, a tension in the atmosphere to see who was right, and the current situation and everything else did not cooperate much with that event, He was going to mention something until something interrupted them.
“Sector 3 Alpha script. We are on Earth, better known for being a planet within the sector known as the Milky Way” The robotic voice was present, similar to the tone of a woman but without having a special characteristic for the moment.
“Ah... It's just you, Punk-07” You sighed in relief, seeing that flashing light that soon took a shape.
It maintained a transparent form where blue connections and cables could be seen throughout its body that matched its transparent blue form. A nucleus in the place of the heart where all those connections were united. The connections shone in synchrony, something different, typical of science fiction movies but truly useful, a humanoid that nodded, maintaining its elegant bearing and being noticeable as even now the cables that managed See, those that were aesthetically united shone in a strange pattern, resembling the neural networks that were created in the organism of a living being but that had 4 arms, how strange, right?
You sighed softly as you shook your dress slightly, you looked at them both to rest your eyes on him again and how he began to walk to the side and how he turned to look at us so we could follow him.
“Where we go” You asked as you walked along that path full of trees and whispers of nature itself.
“To look for shelter, we cannot afford for them to come for us"
You sighed delicately as a somewhat uncomfortable tension formed in the atmosphere, everything silent and on guard, although that was the normal behavior that someone could show after losing everything, right?
You clenched your fists helplessly, you had tried everything and you couldn't do anything, so all those mornings, afternoons, nights, early mornings that you had sacrificed were for nothing? No, you could still do something to save your people, right?
You navigated your thoughts until you looked for the third time at the same tree you had passed by a few minutes ago.
“Zoro”
“What?”
“We are walking in circles”
“...”
“Zoro”
“What?”
“We are lost”
You stopped walking to watch as Zoro turned to look at you and walked towards you, perhaps there would be a fight again to see who was right in the matter?
No, he got into a guard position to put you behind him. You came out of your thoughts to listen carefully to noises, a strange sound of the wind being altered, so that came from–
A giant reflector of white light rested on top of them to illuminate them, war tanks and strange beings that arrived in both ground and air troops “ What is this? Will they have followed us?” You asked while looking at both the swordsman and what seemed to be an artificial intelligence.
“Probably” He mentioned as he stood in front of you and looked from side to side as he unsheathed two of his three characteristic swords.
A long silence occurred until someone came down, he had a green camouflage suit along with a helmet that covered his head, he was a man, he already looked somewhat advanced in age but maintained a good shape.
Zoro remained in a defensive position in front of you while he stared at the stranger who stood a little further in front of all the troops.
“Identify yourselves” The man mentioned while he finished staying still a few meters near you.
And as expected there was no response, the man simply let out a laugh to go to sleep for a short period of time and then wake up, how strange? Would it be customary for all of them to do that? That left them both confused and watching with curiosity.
“These teenagers who don't even answer anymore!! HAHAHAHA”
The confusion returned, why was he laughing? Whether he was happy or he was going to attack them, Zoro stood firm in his place while pointing one of his katanas at him strangely as a warning sign.
“Commander Garp, you better not let your guard down” another man joined that scene, but it was easy to distinguish him from the others, he was wearing a suit and a hat that did not leave his eyes visible
"Don't be a party pooper, Bogard, I'm just trying to lighten the mood," The older man mentioned as he pulled the younger man closer and gave him what seemed to be a firm pat on the back. "
When the man finished that abrupt demonstration he looked at them again to sigh a little loudly and let out a delicate laugh.
“Well, since they don't want to talk, they leave us nothing but to make them talk by our own methods” He said to point them out so that ground troops would approach little by little.
“Don't walk away from the machine” Zoro whispered to you so that only you would listen, his head slightly turned and his only eye fixing on you while he left you in charge of that intelligence.
Zoro approached little by little without making any sudden movements, he knew that if he did something sudden his protected person would be at risk and that was what he least wanted to deal with.
A sound that echoed throughout the place, a bullet, but do bullets end up cut in half? The movement was so fast, no one had noticed how the man had disappeared and his swords were already dancing to the rhythm of his precise and fast movements.
The gunshots and the noise increased more and more, you couldn't stand by and watch him... a memory came to your memory and made you clench your fists with a mixture of emotions so foreign to you, resentment.
From your waist you quickly grabbed a cane, to unfold it so that it took the shape of a stick, you held it tightly to begin to maneuver and skillfully hit the soldiers, as always so foolish to what he told you.
A pitched battle began in that forest, but it was so unfair, the advantage you had was incomprehensible to them, you had managed not to catch his attention for a few minutes until he saw you.
You were using that ability of yours against a few but, how strange, they were so fragile, and it's not that you had such great strength, but, they weren't like them, they were like-
You felt someone grab your arm, a touch full of decision and dominance but leaving the abruptness aside.
“What are ya' still doing here?” He responded with his brow slightly furrowed while he still held onto you
“I'm not going to let you fight alone”
“I don't need you to help me, I need you to be safe”
You clenched your fists with accumulated strength, you looked away from him, that feeling of resentment that you felt when you saw him was born again in your chest.
“But” Something interrupted the atmosphere
You were going to say something to finish off his argument until in the blink of an eye you were lying on the ground with him on top of you, his arm on the side of your head for support and his sword still in his hand.
A bullet stopped, they had tried to shoot you and that only frustrated him, he looked at you to find any sign of injury but everything seemed to be fine
You stayed for a few seconds in shock watching him and the night sky, him, the scent of steel, and a reddish color running down his arm, you had to do something or that was going to get complicated, everything was going to get complicated, you tilted your head. to avoid seeing it and focus on getting out of there
You pressed a button on the palm of your hand, the extension of a high-tech bracelet, you called that robot from a few moments ago to come for you. As if it were a ray of light, something came quickly for you to enclose you in a kind of zorb ball that would cover you from any attack.
You could still slightly feel the impact of the bullets hitting that protective sphere, but due to the speed at which they were going they lost sight of them but had a hard time going down a rocky forest path that ended up throwing them down a rocky slope.
Even though he was hurt, he pulled you towards him to cover you with his body so that you wouldn't be hurt, one of his arms around your shoulders that kept you close to him, and the other holding that sphere to keep himself steady, firm
That protective balloon ended up breaking, nothing serious, just the wet earth staining your arms and knees, you stayed recovering for a few seconds to get back on your feet.
“What was that?” He asked with that slightly frowning expression of his.
“That was getting out of control, or what? Were you thinking of finishing off all of them and not having any more of them come?” You refuted with a firm voice.
“I had everything under control, if only!” He wanted to argue.
“If only what? Roronoa, they are humanoids! And without forgetting that!”
You pointed to his injured arm, a slight tear in his uniform where there was blood stained around the fabric, they both looked at each other, there were no more words, it was as if their intense gazes were debating with each other.
“Homo Sapiens Sapiens”
“ … What?” His eyes rested on that intelligent form again to see how it reacted again “The database has been updated.”
“Punk-07” You mentioned while you saw how he looked at both of you “...”
“We must find shelter, or they could track us, and that's the last thing we want” That kind of robot mentioned while leaving them you both silent “The data has been updated, but I don't have much information about human behavior”
Everyone stayed silent, they had a lot to process. The sound and feeling of drops of water staining their skin became present, rain.
“Well, one more problem” Zoro mentioned in a low voice as he grabbed your wrist and they started walking to find a place to take shelter
After so much walking and possibly going and returning to the same place he found a cave, it was not the most refined or comfortable space but with a bonfire that would warm them up it was perfect.
You were sitting next to him, finishing adjusting an improvised bandage on his arm, his gaze was averted and a serious expression, you didn't have the best expression either, the simple fact of curing him for his foolishness made you angry, it all ended a few minutes later, he stand up.
“Thanks” and he left.
While Zoro was talking to that robot about making a possible base of operations or staying in that place, you disagreed.
Your goal wasn't to stay in a cave for the rest of your life, or until they were found you, you walked to the edge of the cave entrance, watching the distant glow of a possible civilization.
“And if we go there?” You asked while you were still stunned by those shines, without noticing how both of them caught their attention on you
“No” You received a quick response from the man
“Something caught his attention, My lady?” That intelligence responded to you with his insensitive voice
“Those lights…” That word replacing the saying that you missed your home, you looked at them both with a calm expression, without showing any hint that could make you look vulnerable “I want to go there”

Fight To Love; Vice Versa
Daily Writing 20th of June, 2024 #1
Story Starter: "You've caused me so much pain, yet the love I feel for you blinds me to it!"
Relationship: Roronoa Zoro/Vinsmoke Sanji
Tags: Established Relationship, hurt/comfort, fluff
Summary: "You don't have to protect me," he'd said, voice soft but unwavering. Zoro's fingers tapped along the glass, "But if I don't, who will?" Fighting to protect had never felt more important than when their lips touched.
Sanji was a lover, not a fighter; but, life often didn't care for one's wants. Situation after situation arose, and Sanji learned to fight - to live.
Maybe that was why he found himself drawn to the swordsman. Zoro was born to fight, to face every challenge with teeth bared like a wild animal ready to put his life on the line, no matter the cost.
And to a certain degree, Sanji understood that feeling, because he loved fiercely and with a passion. If fighting meant protecting the things - the ones - that he loved, then he'd do it every time.
They found their common ground, even if different - fighting to protect was just as important as fighting to live.
Sanji found comfort from Zoro's unyielding resilience, and Zoro found himself ever the more willing to rush into battle. Not for the sake of fighting, but for the off chance that Sanji wouldn't have to. The realization of his own actions only became apparent to Zoro when Sanji sat him down with a glass of booze.
"You don't have to protect me," he'd said, voice soft but unwavering. Zoro's fingers tapped along the glass.
"But if I don't, who will?"
It had felt stupid to say knowing that the cook was strong enough to fight for himself, but he knew that Sanji would much rather be doting on the crew than dirtying his hands. He knew all that Sanji wanted was to keep everyone safe and fed - happy. And Zoro would gladly take over his fight so that he could do just that.
Fighting to protect had never felt as important as when their lips touched.
Sanji never backed down when it came to his nakama. Zoro respected him for that, loved him for that. It took a different kind of strength to throw yourself in harm's way for the sake of someone else, and Sanji did that without fail every time.
They'd chide each other over it, bantering back and forth over how they each could have avoided getting hurt. But their pain meant their nakama were okay, and they wouldn't change that.
Zoro still tried to keep Sanji out of the fights, but the cook always ended up at his back - a strong comforting presence amid the chaos of battle.
"You can't keep sacrificing yourself, love-cook."
Calloused hands tended to sacrificial wounds, lips pressed to scratched cheeks, and two hearts beat out of sync.
Sanji knew Zoro was right, that he couldn't keep throwing himself to the wolves expecting to come out fine. It was taking a toll on him - on his relationship with Zoro. He could see the worry that took hold of the swordsman every time a fight broke out as if anticipating Sanji's eventual wounds, and it made him feel bad, but he couldn't stand by and watch his nakama get hurt if he could stop it.
He had never stopped to think about what it would feel like to be on the other side of it all. To see Zoro stand before him and protect him, tired and wounded but not backing down. It felt like failing. Like a bad dream turned reality as Zoro sacrificed himself.
"Why would you do that, idiot?" Sanji screamed, voice hoarse and broken with emotion. Yet Zoro remained impassive as he acted like nothing had happened. It felt like a slap to the face; karma for all the times he'd sacrificed himself and gotten hurt just to tell Zoro that it was nothing to worry about and that he was fine.
It was hard to pretend that everything was okay when every glance at the swordsman had Sanji feeling like he was in a flashback, watching Zoro almost die for him. He started to wonder if that was how he made Zoro feel all the time. If it was, Sanji understood why Zoro was so adamant that he stop acting so recklessly.
That night, when the rest of the crew was asleep, Sanji joined Zoro in the crow's nest. Zoro didn't even look over at him as he sat down next to him.
"I was wondering if tonight would be the night you'd finally talk to me." Zoro said.
"I wasn't sure if I was going to, to be honest, Mossy."
Zoro grunted in response and Sanji felt like a pit had opened up in his stomach.
"Is this how I make you feel all the time?" Sanji asked, already knowing the answer.
"Every damn time, Curly," Zoro sighed. He looked at Sanji out of the corner of his eyes. "You know," Zoro began, eyebrows pinched together, "You've caused me so much pain, so much worry," his hand found its way to Sanji's thigh and squeezed. "And yet, the love I feel for you blind me to all of it," Zoro frowned.
"Well, maybe not blind me, but I try to ignore it. I know how important it is for you to save and protect our nakama, Cook. I do," he sighed resigned.
Sanji rested his head on his shoulder, his hand settling on top of Zoro's on his thigh, "I'm sorry," Sanji said, voice barely above a whisper.
Zoro shook his head softly, "I don't need you to apologize, because I won't say sorry for sacrificing myself either. I just need you to understand how loved you are, that watching you get hurt - hurts."
Sanji squeezed Zoro's hand, "I'm still sorry," Sanji kissed Zoro's shoulder and rested his head against it again.
"I love you and I don't want to become the world's greatest swordsman unless you're by my side."
Sanji's heart fluttered, chest going tight and voice getting choked up in his throat as he spoke, "I love you too, Mossy."
Zoro leaned his head against Sanji's on his shoulder, "So we'll both do better?"
Sanji chuckled softly, "We will. We'll just have to fight each other when we get too reckless."
Zoro smirked, "I'll hold you to that."
Fighting was messy and chaotic, but so was love, and they'd keep doing both until they no longer could.

(Shout out to @jhaernyl for helping me write this!)
I've been half working on some writing prompts from this book while in bed. And when I got this one:
Tumblr media
My immediate reaction was, "I don't know PRECISELY what went down but I can tell you, it's Law's worst ever day working on Sora: Warrior Of The Sea!"
So a crew meeting has been called. It's not the first time Shanks has decided to turn a simple set announcement into a whole ordeal - no one has ever accused their ginger haired show runner of lacking a sense of theatrics - and no one is expecting it to be any bigger of a deal than the last time he'd gathered everyone for one of his big proclamations, and that turned out to be about the company changing caterers.
It's not until everyone sees the gloomy, serious look on their other executive producer's face that some of the chatting turns to more worried whispers. True, it would be far MORE worrying if Mihawk didn't look overly serious and vaguely bored, but most of them had become experts at reading his expression and this one was pointedly less bored than usual. Which is rarely a good sign.
Shanks: Now, no need for everyone to get all serious on him! Shanks wanted to be the one to tell everyone the great news! You know how they've been really struggling to nail down the new Marine Admiral who is so central to this next arch? Well, Shanks has found the perfect solution!
Franky: Oye, you finally cast Admiral Tartaglia! That's 🌟SUPER🌟!
Shanks: Hey now, you're going to watch to hold some of that excitement back! Because the casting!? It's far more SUPER than you're prepared for Franky! Get ready to have your mind blown!
Crew: *Carefully steps away from Franky, just in case. Well expect-*
Luffy: *Stays hanging over Franky's shoulders to get a good view, vibrating in excitement.*
Robin: *Also remains next to Franky, giggling into her hand at the crew and Shanks and just all this in general.*
Shanks: It's an multi talented, award winning actor (who also just so happens to be Shank's own beloved husband 💕):
✨Buggy D. Clown!✨
And everyone just sort of tenses up, even as the confetti cannons go off and Buggy's own little troupe of personal assistance rolls out the red carpet for his entrance.
Zoro: What? What's wrong? Why is everyone being stupid all the sudden?
(Zoro might not get all social cues but he can tell when people are purposeful avoiding eye contact.)
Ace: *Still cracking up too hard to speak*
Zoro: *punch in the arm* Stop being an idiot, tell me what's going on.
Ace: It's just - it's so amazing.
Ace: *Not. Over. Laughing* This is going to be a disaster.
Zoro: Eeh? *Cocking his head, watching as a man pedals his way out of a unicycle, holding one end of a banner proclaiming Buggy's interest while a llama - dressed as an elephant mind you - chews at the other corner, unbothered by the theatrics going on all around.* I still don't get it. What's this circus guy doing here?
Ace: *endless amused*
And while Shanks is smiling and clapping for Buggy's entrance and everyone else is either awkwardly clapping along or trying to avoid eye contact, somewhere to the side of the room is one of their writers.
Law: *BSoD*
Everyone knows Buggy is going to cost a fortune but be stingy about everyone else getting anything, wanting to compare salaries, squawking over his treatment as their Newest Best Ever Star, etc. etc.
And Shanks, their supposedly fearless leader, the one they all look to when things seem hopeless and people feel as though the shoot will never get back on track, will just laugh it off and go with it.
Shanks: Why all the worried faces! Buggy is great! Sure, he can be a little dramatic but he's an actor, it's par for the course!
Law's scripts.
Law's poor, amazing, very, VERY particular scipts.
Law's scripts. That should NOT be changed under any circumstances once so ever or else the entirety of Sora canon will be at risk!!!!
The... the story's integrity it's...
Robin: It's so sweet seeing two people who work in this business still so affection with one another, isn't it, Law-kun?
Law: *still in shock* Love is ruining everything.
Mihawk is going to be winning points with Law by being the guard dog of the scripts (and who thought Law would be depending on the one Northerner that seems not to care about Sora and the one who seems to care a little TOO much about Zoro-ya, don't think he hasn't noticed, Hawk-ya!) Not so much to impress Law but because Mihawk has a list of all the shows Buggy has tanked after getting on them.
And he will go through it, every time Buggy starts to argue he knows better about scripts. His work is extremely well cited. He also has all the interviews with people who swore to never work with Buggy again, because he's such a difficult actor.
And yet, so popular with audiences!
(Which Shanks is only too happy to bring up every time it seems the crew is getting a little too close to an all out revolt. At least it keeps Buggy happy enough that he'll usually back down in whatever minor thing he's decided to turn into an all out war with Mihawk.)
Mihawk: Be that as it may, I'd much prefer to maintain a crew that will continue working with them after Buggy leaves, since he's only cast for half a season. *(Mihawk wouldn't agree to a longer constract.)*
Shanks: *Not giving up on this since everyone else can't seem to see the endless upside?* Truly, one of the most devoted fanbases you will meet!
Buggy: *Happily waving to his new crew, all beloved fans he's sure as his troupe quickly works to seep the confetti they'd fired to announce his arrival* It's true, it's true! He can hardly help it, being one of the most celebrated actors of his day! If only not for all the production problems that he seems cursed to endure!
(ie: that he directly causes)
Mihawk: That you directly cause.
Mihawk: I have been on those sets, I have the backstage videos, Buggy.
Mihawk: Do not tempt me.
Law doesn't even like their executive producer that much for reasons that are entirely his own and don't interfere with their work so are of no real concern (but seriously, the man is neither an actor nor a stuntman nor the director! Give Law one excuse for the way he is constantly finding reasons to put his hands all over Zoro-ya when he's practicing his swordsmanship! The mere fact that he happens to be world Kendo league champion for five years running is NOT a good enough reason!) But the way the man has been protecting his scripts lately cold thaw even a Northern heart.
Mihawk: They are not changing their award-winning scripts and that's final!
Law: *swoons slightly before catching himself*
Law: Does Hawk-ya seem more interested and less apathetic about the project than he usually projects?
Mihawk: *walking off all serious and mature and not at all muttering curses about that annoying clown under his breath*
Robin: I suppose it depends on where you think Hawk-san's interest lies, Law-kun.
Later, Buggy's troupe will be busy trying to pull off some stunt work - according to his contact while Buggy doesn't do any of his own stunt work his personal and private troupe has full power of his stunts - until it's all just too pathetic to witness. Zoro just wants to get his stupid scene over with okay?
Zoro: Tch, that's what you call sword work? *Grabbing the sword from the shock man's hand, who can only stand there, eyes wide. No one had ever dated before!* Stop embarrassing yourselves and get out of the way!
And he doesn't care about the protests OR the shocked gasps from the crowd because Zoro has absolutely no fucks to give for that sort of weak ass kendo.
Zoro: Why should he care if everyone is staring or if the guy with the big red nose gets all pissy? He's always angry anyway, how is that Zoro's fault!? And did you see those idiots? He couldn't stand it one second longer!
Law's poor heart.
Robin giggling so hard that Shachi has to nudge her. Hey, the sound equipment is right here.
Zoro easily showing up Buggy's swordsman, not that it was all that difficult.
Zoro: You call that sword work? What kind of hack are you?
Oh, and of course he does the whole scene shirtless, because he was mid-work out on the sidelines as he waited for them to finish. Which turns out to be a sort of saving grace, since if he'd been in costume all the footage would have been unusable. Instead, it's all amazing quality footage of Zoro, sword out, gleaming with sweat.
Law's poor heart.
It takes some serious elbow prodding from Robin before Law realizes he's staring
Law: Because -!! You know -!!!
Law: He's so happy the scene turned out well and all!!
Robin: It doesn't hurt that our stuntman-san is particularly forgetful when it comes to things like shirts, does it! Law: *blushing* I hadn't noticed. Ace: *loudly, from the back* Really? The rest of us did!
.... Law hates his coworkers. He really does...
Ace was never shy in showing Zoro, or any other coworker, how much they were appreciated.
Or as Law would say... "Inappropriate, and he's lucky it was a closed set with no one around. Imagine the stories if pictures got out. As if worrying about Clown-ya isn't putting them all under enough stress!"
At least that is a short clip of the 20 minute rant he subjected Mihawk to.
Mihawk: Trafalgar realizes that Mihawk is neither H nor PR, right?
Law: Obviously! But Hawk-ya is an executive producer, surely he can do something about this pattern of behavior!
Law: .... Also, HR has requested he file less complaints. And PR has reported him to HR due to an "excessive focus on details to the determinate of our department's mental health."
Law: Or something to that effect. Point is, as the executive producer, Hawk-ya MUST have the power to do SOMETHING.
Mihawk: Could Law work Daichi's presence in that scene?
Mihawk: The fans of the show will rip the stuntwork of Buggy's stuntman apart, and as much as Mihawk would personally enjoy that, he wouldn't like the effect it would have on their reputation as a show.
Mihawk: Roronoa has spoiled their audience for actually accurate sword fights.
Law: What? No, that -that was am- f-fine. Zo-Roronoa-ya did excellent stunt work - certainly gave them more usable content then that other green hair one - they can probably just cut around it in an manner that, well, it's not like Roronoa-ya would be uncomfortable if they showed-
Law: No, wait, this is off topic!
Law: He meant PORTGAS-YA! Portgas-ya's behavior was just so unprofessional!
Law: It made the entire crew uncomfortable! Just look! *Waves down to the floor!*
Luffy: *Laughing at his brother and bestie getting along, joking Ace in piling on Zoro, hanging off the both of them*
Robin: *openly taking photos prior to Luffy's presence, at which point she lowers her phone and just smiles at the show*
Crew: *gives no fucks, goes about working*
(Well, Sanji did protest but like they can't stop work qevery time Sanji complains about two guys "upsetting the more delicate actresses and female crew members around!" Just because he's so obvious got issues. So not really bothering to mention.)
(It's pretty much only Law who is in anyway upset but only because he cares so much .... About the show.)
Zoro actually does approaching Law later in order to apologize for "jumping into the shot".
Zoro: He knows how Torao gets about his scripts, and he should have just let them do their work, but it was taking forever, and watching them was starting to grate on his nerves.
Zoro: But he'll try and keep out of it next time, for Torao's sake. (Even if it IS painful to watch and makes Zoro want to stab something....)
Law: You know actually, I know I may have ... Dismissed Zoro-ya's acting a few times when he was first... But his stunt work is really.... And anyway, he did really, really great and ... Well, um he could probably work with the camera crew and direct next time just to.... But honestly he was just so.... Really helped save Law's script so - err.... And okay thank you! *Hurries away; what the hell did he just say and why!?!?*
Zoro: *feels strangely warm even though that was...*
Ikkaku: Boss, just wanted to check with you on something.
Law: *still blushing, not once looking back as he high tails it back to the shadows* Hmm hmm? Yeah? Uh, what is it? A lighting problem?
Ikkaku: No, no.
Ikkaku: Just wanted to make sure you knew how much of a human disaster you just were.
Her criticism is noted.
