what's new?

I… am not so familiar with some English expressions, so I’ll interpret this as a “what's up”. Correct me if I'm wrong :).

So far I'm having a relatively relaxed day, got woken up by the alarm clock at 6am this morning and spontaneously decided not to go to school. Well, I would have had only substitution and PE today anyway, so I didn't miss much. To be honest, I almost went to school (because I’m a nerd and don’t want to miss school), but I was so tired and my mom talked me into staying home. So, I mean, if anyone from my school is reading this, I'm totally one-hundred percent sick, of course. Cough, cough. Plus, I was only like six absences last school year, so that's kinda justified.

Stupidly, no one sends me the book pages we are supposed to work on, so unfortunately I can't do any assignments. Cough, sneeze, cough, cough. (Oops, chain reaction)

Also shit just realised I lost my key. I dunno where I left that stupid thing… and my mom won’t be pleased by that (I always lose something).

Anyway, I have English exam tomorrow and haven’t learned yet because… I think I already mentioned that I am a lazy person learned to appreciate the perks of procrastination. And I used the wasted time to read so it’s valued wasted time. Oh, and I've been playing the piano more often again lately. Now my left wrist hurts like hell again, but my conscience is satisfied at least. My story (the one you kinda helped me with) was also a little bit continued and I had my first “author getting more brilliant ideas under the shower” - experience the day before yesterday.

Sadly, I don’t have any time left to write further (maybe that’s good ‘cause this answer is already pretty long ;). As I said, I still have to practice English (and now slightly start panicking because I forgot the time).

every time i rewatch the miracle aligner music video i am just flabbergasted. FLABBERGASTED. like. they really chose to make it like THAT. and by 'like THAT' i am specifically referring to:

1) “an attempt to extract the truth... approximately" *cue rosepetals and intense eye contact*

2) THIS being the opening shot of the two of them

3) miles legitimately spending the first minute of the entire video blatantly checking alex out

4) literal rainbow lighting around them

5) endless hand holding and twirling

6) that moment where miles's hand reaches ever so reflexively for alex's neck

have to work on a project today and an unrelated thing happened that just made me so so so so so mad (just some irl personal stuff), which normally derails my entire day because i find it so hard to come out of the angry/upset state and tend to just circle back and obsess over whatever triggered it but! today after 20 minutes of that i had a council meeting about it (<- what i call my decision making process) the outcome of which was putting it aside (!!!) for later when i could actually talk about it and resolve it (!!!) & in the meantime we could just do other stuff.

local man exuberant and jubilated to achieve feats of basic emotional self-regulation and was seen excitedly telling reporters he "never thought this day would come" and began giving a thank you speech to nobody in particular. more on this story as it develops

Hi beans I'm back from my mega hiatus, hope you all are doing well while I've tried to recover from the super stress episode. I'm doing much better, have started new hobbies and life overall is better at the moment. My creativity is flowing back to me finally and that means I can focus more on drawing again. thank you very much for your interest anon ❤️ I have so many thoughts so here are ten fun facts about him:

Aeron LOVES his mom. so much. she could have given him away and continued her life as a princess but she chose - even fought - to keep him, accepted the consequences and never regretted it 

just like Saera’s sons, his claim to the throne was disregarded at the Great Council on the basis of his birth

he eventually gets legitimized as his adopted/step dad’s heir, hence why he is wearing the colors and coat of arms of House Langward in my doodle

Aeron is a menace. he is snarky, witty and turns out to be a huge flirt when he is older and is a bit of a medieval frat boy I guess (the frat being nobility and/or his friends from the Stepstones). but he is also very eager to prove that Rolland (his adopted dad) didn’t make a mistake making him his heir so he takes his role very seriously and tries to be a good lord

after the War for the Stepstones, Aeron and several other boys that participated get knighted by Daemon in KL

Aeron is bi and a bit of a manwhore. he is extremely mindful not to father any bastards though as he has learned first hand how both the women who have them and the children themselves are treated and doesn’t want to condemn his partners and hypothetical kids to that

Laenor and Joffrey are part of the group of boys/teenagers Aeron befriended at the Stepstones and kept friends with afterwards. his and Laenor’s relationship is my roman empire

Aeron is a girl dad. he and his wife have only daughters and he adores each and every one of them. they have him wrapped around their little fingers and are as much, if not even more of a menace as he is/was

he can sing and play the lute, which he learned to impress a lady and has since been quite useful in many other conquests. later on he uses it mainly to entertain his daughters

he will be siding with team black in the Dance, though I will be making some changes to the line-up (basically, I want to keep Laenor alive. he deserves better than either show or book canon)

Bonus: Character inspiration meme thing

honest to goodness my ultimate dream is to someday make a youtube video essay on fred as an autistic character. i've already made a good handful posts on the topic, and anyone who knows me knows how passionate i am about this aspect of him, but i really feel that a video essay would be the perfect format for a thorough breakdown on it all.

fred's autism isn't quite as speculated/widely known as velma's being a lesbian, but recently many more people have been (re)discovering his autistic coding (and canon autism in sdmi!), celebrating and identifying with it. as an autistic person with a special interest in this silly character, it makes me so happy! i'm hopeful that this will someday lead to a piece of scooby media where it's fully canon again, maybe even mentioned in the text like velma's crush on coco in trick or treat.

all this being said, i think there's now an audience out there that would be interested in hearing about the history of his character, the autistic traits he displays, why people like me find him relatable, and so on! the only things holding me back are that i haven't yet seen everything scooby that he appears in (i grew up on all the movies but am still not up to date on many of the tv shows), and my terrible organisation skills (oops). so i made this post as sort of a prompt for myself, and for people to add their thoughts/suggestions for if i do manage to make it (you will of course be fully credited if these are mentioned in the video). does it double as an excuse for me to ramble about my favourite character? yes, absolutely.
