The League of Morons vs A Summer Camp

All right, so I love the hell out of this nonsense and I want to talk about the Vanguard's plan and how ridiculous it was.

First, most of the crew showed up a night early and…well, then what?  That first night, Dabi says they’re still waiting on a few more people to arrive.  Okay, so what are you all doing here already?

Did Kurogiri warp them back to the bar after they’d gotten a look at the place?  Scouted the area a bit?  You needed seven people for that? Were they that bored waiting for Twice, Compress, and the Nomu to show up?  What were they doing in the 24 hours between this part and the actual attack?  Standing on that cliff and muttering,  “Heroes…”?

Was Toga all, "Guys, I'm tired. Can we go back to the bar already?"

Spinner: "No, as villain protocol dictates, we must stand here menacingly for a minimum of twelve hours."

Dabi: Fuck you, I'm going to bed.

Except for being a scare tactic, having Dabi start a fire was mostly unnecessary. Their goal was to further weaken society's faith in heroes by targeting UA students, so you'd think he'd be a little more proactive in...well, actually harming someone. As it happened, the fire really only to served to announce there was an attack happening.

But I’ll throw the Vanguard a bone here and say this was Spinner’s doing.  Like their original plan was to start a massive fire that would consume both classes and all the heroes in a singular tragedy, but then Spinner said,  “Hey, pump the breaks, people.  We’re here to uphold Stain’s ideals about toppling the corrupt Hero culture.  Do we really want mass child murder as part of our brand?” Sure, he wanted to go after Iida, but he was a specific target since he was on Stain's hit list.

The two copies Twice made of Dabi were virtually useless in a fight since Vlad and Aizawa both took him out so quickly it was embarrassing.  And yet he’s apparently a big enough threat that No. 1 and No 2. can’t handle him.  Go fig.

Endeavor/Hawks:  Oh, no, he’s too strong…

Aizawa/Vlad:  Listen here, you little shit!

Muscular goes and reveals their plan even though he didn’t have to.  They all saw the Sports Festival, they knew what Bakugo looked like, and yet here he is asking Deku where he he can find Bakugo as if he was going to answer him.  Yes, he didn’t think there was any harm in telling him since his plan was to kill Deku anyway, but alerting UA to the fact they were looking to kidnap someone is still just hubris.

Going after Bakugo in the first place was a dumb idea.  We can probably credit that one to Shigaraki because only he would look at the violently temperamental teenager raging on national television and think,  “Yes, he seems like a reasonable person to negotiate with.”

Gonna drop in some actual light criticism here: Given the inequality issues that arise in the series later, targeting the heteromorph students for recruitment purposes would have been a smarter move for the LoV.  They’re all part of a demographic that has a justified reason for being dissatisfied with society, so there would have been a believable chance of the LoV thinking they could sway some people to their side.

But hey, the League of Villains was on a learning curve. Give 'em a break.

He totally saw Aoyama here.  Or at least he heard him because he clocked that there was something weird about that bush and he was going to go check it out…and then Twice distracted him and Dabi has an total ADHD moment and forgets what he was doing.

And it's not because Aoyama was the spy. Nobody in the Vanguard knew.

1.) Shigaraki says he tried and couldn't figure out where the camp was, but AFO figured it out relatively quickly. So if even his successor doesn't know who the spy was or called on that resource, then why would AFO tell anyone else in the group?

2.) Moonfish, Muscular, and Mustard were all apprehended, but none of them ratted out Aoyama, as someone with nothing left to lose would. Neither did Kurogiri when he was later apprehended, but that one may have been a loyalty matter. So I think this was a case of AFO saying, "I have a source of info and you don't need to know who it is." Because at the end of the day, AFO is an arrogant narcissist who's definitely not placing all his eggs in one basket. Aoyama wouldn't be an easy spy to replace, so of course AFO would want to limit any chances of him being exposed.

So this was Dabi's screw up.

Speaking of forgetting things, Dabi also straight up forgot they had a Nomu because he thanked Twice for reminding him they had a Nomu.

Sir....how the hell do you forget you have a Nomu?

Toga was supposed to get blood from at least three people.  She failed.

Twice had a simple job. Create clones. He succeeded, but the only two he made were Dabi and I refer you to the previous point on how useless they were.

Spinner and Magne’s roles were a diversion. Distract the Wild, Wild Pussycats and give everyone else the opening to find and kidnap Bakugo.

They did pretty well. Up until the point they were almost caught and Kurogiri had to bail them out. Also Spinner lugged the giant, over-the-top blade contraption all the way there only for Deku to destroy it.

However, they do deserve some credit for making probably the best strategic decision of the group that night, and that was taking out Pixie Bob. We saw on the first day of the camp that she was able to hold back a class of twenty students with an army of earth creatures she was simultaneously controlling. That would have been a huge problem, so for the purposes of their team, good on them for removing that obstacle.

Underrated squad members right here.

Mustard was a legitimate threat for same reasons Dabi and his fire was a threat, plus he brought a firearm into the fight. (I want to know what the other villains thought when they saw that.)

But instead of putting him in the center of the fight where he could do some significant harm, they placed him on the outliers and all he did was knock some students unconscious and everybody made a full physical recovery, showcasing the gas he emitted wasn’t all that lethal and didn't cause any long-term complications. (Again, maybe this was Spinner's idea of Stain's ideology on not indiscriminately massacring children. "Guys, I'm telling you! That's fucked up!")

The Nomu (effectively brain dead without orders) did more damage than any of them, which makes the previous point that Dabi forgot they had it even funnier.

And finally, Mr. Compress was missing for half the night and then almost came in clutch by fulfilling their main objective plus extra credit, only to nearly blow it with his showboating. Seriously, they could have gotten away with both Bakugo and Tokoyami had they just booked it while the going was good.

But no, Compress had to make a dramatic production of it. When he first snatched the kids, he could have just left and Deku and company would have had no idea what happened. Had he just kept his mouth shut and left, they wouldn't have known he even existed. Then as the Vanguard members were leaving through the warp gates, he goes and does it again, giving Aoyama enough time to fire at them with his navel laser, something that also could have bee avoided had Dabi just checked the fucking bush!

The Vanguard Action Squad won by sheer dumb luck and their collective incompetence actually succeeding is the most hilarious thing about this arc. In the end, three members of their crew were arrested.  (Although I think everyone was secretly relieved they lost Moonfish.  Even if he was on my side, I’d be actively worried that guy would kill and eat me in my sleep.)

Yet this self-important twerp is smiling like they actually did something to be proud of here.  All Dabi really accomplished personally was grab a marble (coincidentally the correct marble) before Shouto could, which is borderline more standard older sibling behavior than actual villainy. He literally lost two separate fights in one night and called it a win.

This arc was a five episode Scooby-Doo trap going wrong and succeeding.

Seriously, I hope that after the warp gates closed, they all just looked at each other and immediately started calling each other out on everything. Like Dabi slapped Compress upside the head and asked him what he'd been thinking having 'one last bow' before they got away. Spinner yelling at Dabi about how the clones did nothing. And there's Bakugo all, "I can't believe I've been kidnapped by a gaggle of morons."

I do in fact have some hcs for both, but in the interest of not writing my uh... like 6th novel in the past 2 days, I'll keep it a bit brief~ <3 (it's still quite long 😭)

~Erasermic~ -~- Aizawa stifles constantly, basically a reflex at this point, and Mic tells him off for it. (But secretly admires it, just a little, he can never figure out how to suppress them like that) He can do this hands free, so you have to verbally persuade him not to, just grabbing his hands won't help. -~- Mic has louder sneezes that usually end up hurting his throat if they go on for too long/if he's sick already. Aizawa has to be the one to remind him when he's sick to shut up before you lose your voice! (it happens often) -~- Mic is a wine snz person, the alcohol gets to him, but not reallyyy other allergies (though, like all of these, it changes based on what you want!) -~- Aizawa is heavily allergic to pollen (CANON!!) and also anything floral scented, though he's not certain if he's actually allergic to that, or it's just the fact that it reminds him of flowers. -~- Aizawa tends to get headaches a lot, especially when sick, and Mic will offer to hold his head and give him gentle scalp massages, or run fingers through his hair <3 Mic's illness tends to hit his chest/throat harder, so Aizawa has memorized which types of tea are best for what symptoms, and keeps a pad of paper and pencil nearby incase he needs to enforce some vocal rest.

-~- Hawks is a stifler. It has to do with control issues, and being such a young (and specifically trained) success. He's taught never to show weakness, and he counts this. Despite acting like he doesn't care, Dabi does, and so he often tries (in 'not-so-subtle' ways) to try and get Hawks to knock it off. His natural is pretty soft and vocal. -~- Dabi will stifle occasionally, something harsh and raspy, though it can have a bit of a 'uhh' or 'choo' sound that slips out. However if he's alone, or with Hawks, or honestly just can't be bothered, his natural is a bit more harsh, and sometimes desperate. (though... I can't lie, I also adore him having lil kitten snz and being pissy about it, especially when Hawks teases him. Soooo, I bounce between the two <3) -~- Hawks doesn't really have many allergies, though he can be quite sensitive all of some of the time. That said, he always sneezes in fits. At least 3 kinda deal, so if it's just one, he assumes 'someone's talkin' bout him'. -~- Dabi is not as lucky in the allergen department. He assumes it's something to do with his immune system being somehow basically trash, and also hyper alert. Allergic to cats, flowers, and occasionally (mostly when I, or others, wish to torment him) dust. Though, much to the annoyance of Hawks, he's not sensitive at all. (Cept around his piercings, that will always get a sneeze). -~- Both tend to get sick often, though Hawks gets more of the sinus infections and chills, while Dabi seems to veer more towards chest infections and fevers. Despite the tough act, both of them know exactly how to care for the other. Dabi will let Hawks nestle into him for warmth and comfort, and Hawks will get cold washclothes to help Dabi stay cool. Both like their hair being pet, but would never admit it.

It probably doesn't help that he immediately quit his job at that specific clinic and vanished afterwards, but Izuku digresses. - Aizawa Shouts gets called on a case to dismantle a cult, Takami Keigo is there on the HPSC's orders, and Midoriya Izuku would like to escape said cult. It all works out somehow.

Thelreads, MHA 293, Replies Part 1

1) “Oh my god man, now shit’s gonna get real! Even though he’s not gonna be able to do much against Shigaraki. Or Machia. Okay, he’s not exactly the ace that will save everyone, but we’re still glad he’s back, for Chapter 293: Hero-Saturated Society.”-Honestly? (points to the devastation wrought by each individual and the ongoing chaos) I don’t think there’s anyone who can save everybody from this. Not even All Might in his prime can stop multiple S-tier calamities like these erupting simultaneously across the country, and these poor heroes are forced to face them back to back. At this point, it’s trying to contain the damage, not stop it completely, and they need all hands on deck for that. 2) “Also, where are the girls? There’s only the boys here, also is that evil Midoriya next to Shigaraki?”- It seems to be a minor list of all the major fighters still up and running in this battle, so judging by the fact he’s standing next to Tomura I’m gonna assume that’s what Dabi would look like if he wasn’t self-cremated and still had his hair dye in. 3) “Oh yeah, there’s my baby after bringing back the power from my other baby.

Eri takes it and Eri gives it back, her power is unmatched.”- Eri’s power is so game-breaking that it’s actually pretty impressive to me how Horikoshi’s been avoiding making her too much of an OP crutch for the heroes to rely on, mangling themselves without fear of the long-term repercussions with Eri in their corner. 4) “Didn’t you saw the last panel Midoriya? Eri is the reason he’s here. Unless you meant how he knew to come to this specific location, which, being honest, is not that hard to guess, just following the trail of destruction and bodies Machia left”- To be frank, Izuku’s been so preoccupied stopping Tomura and all the little head-games that have been going on between their Quirks that I don’t think he’s fully processed the implications of what Machia’s appearance here means for everything left behind him. Gonna be a nasty shock to add to the growing pile. 5) “FUCK YOU MIRIO WE HAVEN’T SEEN YOU IN AGES OF COURSE WE ARE NOSTALGIC ABOUT YOU”- It was even longer with all the weekly releases for us….well, I guess maybe not, what with finishing off the Vigilante alcohol binge for you.

6) “Also, jesus fuck man she told him about the super secret battle plan even though he was no longer a hero student and didn’t even had a quirk anymore, c'mon girl we know that Mirio is trustworthy, but that was reckless!”-She also knows him/worked with him directly as another hero intern under Nighteye’s office before the management change, so it’s like she informed a co-worker she’d known for a long time about the upcoming plan, which adds a little bit to her verification of Miro’s trustworthiness. Besides, in the same vein that having a goal to strive towards can make you push past your limits, knowing there was a big upcoming battle could have pushing Miro more into trying to regain his powers, giving her another reason to tell him. 7) “Well Mirio, hate to break it to you but you’re a bit bigger than a bug or lizard, not to say that there might be other side-effects of rewinding you half a year.

Although considering you’re here fighting I suppose that was not the case”- If there were any, I’d think they’d show up as a long-term deal, and right now, that’s a hypothetical problem they can afford to put aside whilst they focus on the present and distressingly immediate. 8) “AIZAWA GAVE THE NOD OF APPROVAL FOR HIS DAUGHTER TO LET HER POWER LOOSE

ERI SHALL HEAL THEE LIKE JESUS DID”- He’s also the metaphorical brake to her runaway powerhouse of a power, so she needs him nearby anytime she’s thinking of unleashing her Quirk in any degree, even after having better control of the “speed”. 9) “Yeah Mirio, thank you for showing up, we’re extremely happy to see you, but unfortunately you can’t do much to actually take them down. I doubt you could punch them hard enough to make them pass out.”- Miro dumped all his skill points into speed, evasion and defence, leaving him with pretty lacklustre offense against beings a jacked teenager can’t knock out in a single punch – and that’s exactly the kind of monstrous footsoldier AFO’s been honing all these years. 10) “…

Well okay, sure, I guess that the best option would be to call for help, but, who’s gonna come help you now? Everybody is already here!”- Other than his personal skills, Miro’s greatest ability is his awareness of his own shortcomings and limitations, making him a fantastic team player whenever he shows up, knowing when to delegate tasks he can’t handle himself to somebody better qualified and unafraid to show this, unlike other, more prideful heroes who might bluff about it and give a false sense of security. 11) “…

Is that Bakugo? Is Bakugo coming here? Wasn’t he already around? After he almost died that is”- Bakugo is the embodiment of “I didn’t hear no bell”…if only because he blew the bell up before he started fighting. Besides, he has extra motivation to push himself back from the brink of death, what with needing to fulfil his promise to Jeanist to tell him his incredibly serious and well-thought-out hero name the next time they spoke. 12) “fuck it was bakugo.but I swear, I thought he was there on the floor after he got stabbed by Shigaraki back in chapter 286”- He was on the floor, but then he got himself back off the floor, and doesn’t plan to hit it again until the heroes have won…somehow.

13) “Oh thank god Nejire is okay, even though she got half of her body burned like that.”- Proof that Bakugo’s not an outlier, every hero is equally capable of standing back up to continue the fight…and so unfortunately are the villains too.

14) “Also, wait, is Bakugo gonna reveal his hero name? We didn’t heard what it was so far right? In just assumed it would be Bakugo. Or kacchan. God I hope it’s kacchan.”- It’s better!

15) “what”-   Shush you, this is the greatest name he could have picked.

16) “Mirio it wasn’t meant to be funny, Bakugo is just always thinking about murder 24/7”- It might just have been because of his hang-time running out, but Bakugo looks like he face-planted in disappointment after Miro misunderstood the purpose of his name. @thelreads

Hnnnng, I need fic finding help and have heard you are Good To Ask. It was a fic on either ao3 or tumblr and i don't know if it was complete when I read or not. It was about the summer training camp arc where the vanguard action squad weren't actually villains. Like it had the same characters but the LOV were actually just vigilantes hired by UA to do surprise night training. I can only really remember two specific details in it. 1, an offhand fact that the vigilantes were given licenses (I think hero but they may have just been vague You Are Legally Allowed To Do This) and 2, it had a scene with Dabi and Aizawa. It was kind of an exposition scene talking about how he became a vigilante and had a bit of him being real nervous to start the forest fire, considering what happened last time. I think it may have even had the detail of him turning his flames from blue to red so he didn't go overboard? Any help would be forever appreciated, that single scene has been stuck in my head for days.

Playing (Fighting) With Fire!

Hello!! I don't really know exactly what to put here, as this is my first time posting on tumblr but honestly Im just gonna talk my shit.

This post I'm going to go over why I've been drawing out the release of this fic and specifically this chapter for so long.

MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD

A lot of it comes down to what's going on with the manga right now. As of posting this, chapter 406 leaks are

The fate of a LOT of characters are still up in the air. and by a lot I mean pretty much everyone. This chapter I've been on my toes about releasing because there's a huge presence of All might. from my pov, there's like a 50/50 chance he's gonna survive. I am leaning towards the fact that he will survive simply because I hope to god hori actaully follows through with all mights whole character arc about how all mights life still matters even if he can';t fight. Like. Iron Might. come the fuck on. personally I think that whole plotline kinda stomps all over All mights WHOLE ARC.

But more than just All might, I'm concerned about present mic, hawks, and whatever the fuck reasoning Bakugou got jeart-ed back to life.

Also i think I've addressed it in the end notes too about what's going on with Todo-fam rn and dabi/endeavors fates. honestly, they could both live, both die, or either or and I have no clue what hori's gonna do. but as this fic stands, todo kills dabi to save his fathers life after loosing his arm and yay! happy family! also-- I put kills in italics for a reason. We already watched Todo beat dabi, with both of them still barely alive but it was clear todo won. But with Dabi getting up again and still fighting... It's kinda clear what has to happen there.

With this plot decision of mine, we'll def be going more in depth with it as the fic goes on (as he clearly has trauma surrounding that, obviously) But i made this choice because I kinda had to and really didn't want to wait until the whole damn manga ended to write this.

it's very likely endeavor will kill dabi. Back when I started writing this, I knew I had to make a choice based on where I thought the plot would go, and where I wanted it to go based on what I wanted to write. Hopefully, my assumptions will be close, if not the same, as what canon will end up being. But if not... cope, i guess.

But even with me making that choice before the plotline has been resolved in the story, there are still a lot of plot factors that have a lot of implications on the rest of the cast that aren't Todoroki centric. I've been kinda holding out to see what's been happening with Bakugou, Mido, AFO and Shigi. AND Aizawa, Present Mic, and Kurogiri. AND Ochako, Toga, and Hawks. Like all of these plotlines have major impacts on the worldbuilding.

Particularly for chapter 6, I was waiting to hear about hawks to see if I could include him in the festival or not. I originally wanted him to be the host of the festival instead of AM (since he was technically the host for part of their first year one anyways), but since both of their survival is in question I ended up going with All might because I thought the character with the arc about surviving to help people even if he's not fighting has more of a chance of survival than the character with the arc about murdering a villain and atonement for that... but hori keeps me on my toes, so we'll see...

That's also why i've been avoiding talking about Bakugous 'death' and character development for characters that don't have an obvious conclusion of some kind.

(also, I stg if hori actaully ends up going with the theory that OFA will be destroyed with AFO... i will be strictly ignoring that :) )

Overall... Theres a lot going on in the manga. and I kinda want as much to happen as possible before I cement more of this fic into writing. I'd be really annoyed if a lot of canon ends up contradicting what i'm writing and ends up making me totally confused about what's going on. but if anything changes, I'll certianly let yall know in the end notes. Theres a possibility I may go back in past chapters and change things only if they're small details. If they're big plot points and would be a pain in the ass to change... idgaf

y/n is understanding when aizawa returns home late after every mission or conference. she is forgiving when he starts missing their dates. she tries to be understanding when birthdays were forgotten and anniversaries were uncelebrated. but three years of this was too much and it’s slowly killing y/n. she is depressed and lonely. and she is frustrated because she doesn’t know how to bring this up to shouta without making it seem like she’s some clingy and obsessed wife. she bottles up her emotions and tries to plaster on a smile whenever they go to whatever hero type event she is invited to along with her husband.

however, that doesn’t last long and she soon runs into villain!dabi by accident. she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. she was at some convince store getting some junk food for another lonely night when blue flames engulf the store and in walks in a scarred man who jumps over the counter and takes out all of the money from the cash register. they lock gaze and y/n recognizes him from tv as a member of the league of villains that shouta had been trying to break down for the past year and a half.

his stapled lips stretch into a wicked grin before jumping over the counter and advances towards her, y/n not liking the hungry look in his eyes. no doubt he recognizes her as the wife of eraser head. aizawa constantly warned her to stay low to protect herself but y/n was confident no harm would come her way. she deeply regrets her stupid decision.

before dabi could do anything, police sirens pierce through the silence. dabi curses under his breath and turns to bolt out of the crime scene. but not before throwing a “see you around, doll face.” with a sleazy smirk.

needless to say, the two met again. and again. and again until it become a normal occurrence. so normal, in fact, that if they don’t run into each other for more than two days, they feel as if a piece of their heart was ripped from them.

so it’s not a surprise to anyone that the two enter a sexual relationship and neither of them have ever felt so alive before. their lives feel complete and they feel like they can take over the world.

of course, nothing is perfect. y/n still has guilt over the fact that she is constantly cheating on her husband and still refuses to moan dabi’s birth name in bed. it frustrates him to no end. so imagine how mad he gets when y/n is ditching a night she promised to spend with dabi so that she could attend a dinner at some pro hero’s mansion (pretentious pig) and acting all lovey dovey with a man she no longer loves like she did before.

dabi’s furious and he is itching stir up the pot and make sure that y/n will finally be his once and for all and gets shouta out of the picture. so as y/n is getting ready in his cheap, rundown apartment to meet with her husband (who doesn’t even bother to go the event with her at the same time as he has an interview beforehand, what a dick! thinks dabi) he tells her that he wants to take a video because she looks so ravishing in her little black dress.

y/n doesn’t think much of it and even snorts at the choice of song (a popular sound on tiktok no less) and even humors him when he presses his front to her back and she matches the sway of his hips, even gives a sultry look at the camera filming them from a lowered angle.

y/n kisses him goodbye and promises to make it up to him tomorrow and dabi could barely hide the mischievous smirk threatening to split across his face.

needless to say, the dinner party with all the heroes was boring. and poor shouta was trying his very best to entertain his wife but y/n feels awkward being around shouta after she started sleeping with dabi and the fact that he had been neglecting her for years prior to her infidelity. she’s thinking of fun little ways to make up for dabi and doesn’t notice the deep frown settling on aizawa’s lips.

when they return home, aizawa tries to be intimate with y/n by kissing her neck and telling her how much he misses her but y/n breaks free from his hold with a lame excuse that she’s tired and wants to go to bed.

hours later, when y/n is deep asleep and shouta is leaning on his elbow as he watches his wife sleep, his fingers gliding across her arm, hidden by long sleeved pajamas (which was odd since she normally slept in tank tops) and is thinking about the odd change in behavior of his wife when his phone buzzes on the night stand.

he reaches over and his eyebrows pinches at the message he read.

aizawa receives another message and this time it’s a video that makes his blood freeze.

Hybrid Shigaraki and Aizawa

Brain rot for albino lion Shigaraki and black house cat Aizawa that are equally as possessive for their owner meanwhile being different in personalities. While Shigaraki is dramatic in most things he does not wanting to stray from your side, Aizawa will leave for weeks on end before coming back with various marks and scars and acting like nothing ever happened. Aizawa doesn’t like to be smothered and will only allow brief intermissions for cuddling or even basic conversation meanwhile Shigaraki is nothing but smothering. He loves being underneath you and asking about your day. He'll act indifferent but will be hanging onto every word and sentence.

You found them in different circumstances as well. As expected Aizawa was found in a back alley, your alley to be specific. Unbeknownst to you, your house along with your entire property was part of his territory and he was not willing to give it up. You of course was open to letting him live with you as long as he remains civilized and wouldn’t start any more fights. Only part of that deal was upheld. Tomura however, was as dramatic as he could possibly get was a runaway. He was one of the main attractions at a traveling circus that had less than holy means of training their ‘members’.

Despite these differences, one thing they could both agree on was the fact that you belonged to them both. You had made the mistake of touching another hybrid cat and not washing your hands so the next thing you knew after stepping through the door, was the several slightly clawed fingers pumping into your pussy and feathery tails wrapping around your wrist as they mutter filthy words into your ears.

He almost never feels threatened by some other guy's presence, mostly because he knows he's amazing, but also because he trusts you with his life

But there are times where he realizes he's not the only man you value with all your heart, one of these times is when the two of you were on a date and you spotted a long time friend who's been working overseas

You immediately greeted him overjoyed and both of you hugged, and talked, and talked, and talked

It was almost like you had forgotten you were on a date with your boyfriend, this was the time he intervened

He went up to you mid-conversation, wrapped his arms around your waist, and pulled you closer to him, smirking all the while, a small action that goes unnoticed by you due to him doing this all the time

But it did send a message over towards your male friend

Even if you continued to center your attention over towards your friend, Keigo would subtly show off, touching you everywhere (everywhere you were comfortable with), kissing your cheek, and fluffing up his wings slightly, showing off his amazing quirk

Finally, when you did stop talking, he'd immediately get clingy as fuck, not letting you go at all and perhaps even spoiling you a bit

Aizawa is definitely the type to be silent when he's jealous

It all started when there was a new TA in UA, specifically your TA, he had no clue why Nezu had decided a TA was needed in UA but Nezu had questionable decisions that he didn't even want to question

He was okay with it at first, until the TA got a little too close for comfort, brushing his hand against yours, purposefully dragging you out of conversations

To be honest, you were just too dumb to realize

Of course, Aizawa, wasn't the type to be very open about the idea of PDA so he did the next best thing

Now Mic is VERY vocal when he's jealous, he's a loud man, he can't help himself

That adding with the fact he gets easily jealous and protective over you really doesn't add up well

Especially on the street when you would get random catcalls from passerby's who were idiotic enough not to recognize the Pro Hero literally beside you

He would literally yell at the person, "THEY HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" no shame at all

If you tell him to stop though because it's embarrassing you, he will tone it down a bit, still protective though when he gets jealous

If some guy tries to hit on you he'd vocally tell them you have a boyfriend with a protective arm wrapped around you, and if the guy still persisted

Mic would immediately try to get you out of the situation if you were uncomfortable, his first priority is you, not his jealous feelings

After you're safe and comfortable though, he would boast about being with you pretty vocally, saying I love you's loud enough for the guy to hear, loudly and humouredly smooching your face, making you laugh really loud

Basically in turn making the other guy more jealous

Look I’ve been thinking about this for the past week and have not been able to sleep so I shall put it out there and see if it brings me peace.

So I saw this one prompt/ idea first on ao3 by I_GiveUpOnGender and I’m pretty sure I saw another thing with the same concept but I forgot by who

Anyway the idea was Hawks being Denki’s adoptive father and the shenanigans that would ensure- and I have not been able to forget it.

Like I’ve been imagining this specific scenario where the league of villains shows up to kidnap denki from his own room due to his electricity quirk which could allow them to use mass amounts of electricity (which they might want for the doctor dude/ need to make more nemus) without any authorities being suspicious about it or even know about it.

Problem is they never told hawks

Problem number two is that the whole reason he was adopted by hawks was because he was sold to a quirk trafficking business where he was used for the exact same purposes the LOV want him for

So when they succeed in kidnapping denki and are dragging him to the machinery kicking and screaming because to many flashbacks to a time he would much rather forget are running through his mind in speeds Sonic only wishes he could achieve- He sees his own dad walk into the scene and starts thrashing and screaming even more, yelling for Hawks to help him

Then from that point I see either two things happening:

1) Hawks fucking rages and decides fuck the Hero Commission and goes to save Denki or

2) Hawks freezes, not knowing what to do because thats his son, my hatchling, mine, don’t fucking touch him- but also his been told time and time again by the Hero Commission to always put his duty and mission first- no matter the consequences. and automatically acts as if he knew this whole thing was going to happened and actively ratted denki out/ help the lov know where he was as he quickly tries to figure out what to do

Denki obviously freaks out even more when he realizes that Hawks betrayed him which he expected from Dabi not his own fucking dad (I love the idea that dabi and hawks are in a weird dating situation and denki just had to get used to having someone who kidnapped his friend over at his house like a new boyfriend of a divorced mother) and he starts just absolutely going into him and yelling and getting pissed as fuck.

The thing is, the lov had forgotten that someone that has an electricity quirk, electricity based quirk suppressants aren’t exactly gonna work.

Denki discharge 5 million volts of electricity at the same time and the whole base where they were at exploded, alerting all nearby heroes to investigate and causing a city power-outage

When dabi saw the electricity start to build up as denki kept fighting back he just yelled to get the fuck out and had to hold hawks back as he kept trying to get to Denki- which would have most definitely get him killed

The only thing left on the scene when the hero comes (which includes Aizawa) is an unconscious denki, compress, and twice (who were the ones that were trying to handle denki/ the closest and couldn’t run away in time)

After this is basically just denki being pissed at dabi, at hawks, at the commission, at the lov, at the quirk trafficking business, and at the fact that he doesn’t know how to handle his anger. His knows how to handle his sadness and his happiness and his love but never his anger cause his supposed to be kaminari denki, his not supposed to get angry.

Also would include him telling all of this to the Bakusquad + shinsou and refusing to go home and just staying in the dorms cause he doesn’t know what he will do if he sees Hawks. It’s also just hawks trying really fucking hard to get denki to talk to him so he can apologize and try to make it up to him but it’s really difficult to do that when he refuses to even acknowledge your existence and decides to give you a taste of your own medicine by acting like everything is completely fine in-front of everyone but the moment there by themselves just glaring daggers at him

None of them are having a good time to say the least

Incomprehensible ramblings incoming (Spoilers for MHA 350):

I went back and watched the episode where the League meets Ujiko and DAMN I can't look at Nomus the same way again. Just seeing the Nomu made my stomach knot up. At one point I thought I was actually going to throw up. I'm not even joking. I've never had THIS MUCH of a visceral reaction to such a "nothing" scene before. I've cried at movie deaths, I've flinched at fight scenes, but this was literally a still-shot of a Nomu in a tank doing NOTHING and I could feel my stomach twisting.

Like, we always knew the story behind the Nomu is tragic, but I always felt that barrier of "the extra" preventing it from really hitting me just how disturbing the concept of Nomus are.

Nomus were never really "characters". They were made from people but like, in name only. It was horrifying, 100%, but it was just sort of a fact of their backstory. It existed to show how messed up Ujiko is, but since they were introduced as Nomus, it never really affected me beyond "damn, that's fucked up. Ujiko and AFO are evil and I hope the heroes stop them".

Like think about how none of us are sad the OFA users are dead. It's because they started the story dead and were literally written to be dead mentors. We met them when they were already ghosts. No one is here crying that Nana is dead because, like, that's the whole point. She was written to be the dead mentor. We never lost her because we never even had her. But if All Might died, then I think most of us would be pretty distraught.

In a way, it's the same with Shirakumo/Kurogiri. Shirakumo wasn't an established character (in the main series) beforehand. Yes, his brief story is sad (much sadder when you read his chapters), but in the main series, he's literally introduced as "a kid who got turned into a Nomu". There was just this level of disconnect, like Shirakumo as a character existed for this specific plot point. Horikoshi didn't create him for a purpose beyond that. It's not like we lost Shirakumo along the way and then learned about his tragic fate, he was literally name dropped once and then introduced as "the guy we think this Nomu was made from". Messed up, but that's his narrative purpose. (It also helps that Kurogiri is pretty sentient and is able to act as a character in his own right).

But while watching the anime and seeing the Nomus now (after 350) it makes me so uncomfortable because I just get hit with that thought of "that could have been Dabi". Love him or hate him, Dabi is a character we KNOW. We've seen him hanging out with the League, we've seen his backstory, we know HIM. He was NOT introduced into the story as a Nomu, he had his own stuff going on. He was existing and growing as a character.

He's complicated. He's fun to read about. He's got an interesting backstory and fascinating dynamics with other characters. And something about knowing that someone like Dabi would have become a mindless, faceless Nomu is just chilling. There would have been no Dabi to know. Touya, a sweet, innocent kid, would have become a literal nameless enemy for a hero to defeat without a second glance. All of that backstory and tragedy COMPLETELY GONE if he had been turned into a Nomu. And that's where it gets me, because that is the case for every. single. Nomu.

Of course I knew this before. I always understood that Nomus had lives beforehand. But it took seeing a character I KNOW saying "that's what you would have done to me" to make me realize how sick and twisted the Nomu are.

Let me clarify this: I never saw the Nomu as just faceless enemies for the heroes to kill. I still think it is VERY messed up that the heroes kill them so nonchalantly. But something about 350 made it so much more real and like... idk it really got into my head.

I got a somewhat similar feeling when I learned Aizawa was supposed to be Kurogiri. The thought of the Aizawa I know and love not existing broke my heart, but it was calmed by the knowledge that he would have at least been somewhat intelligent. I don't think Dabi would have been given that same luxury.

I think that's what it is: the thought that this character I've grown attached to could have (and would have, if he hadn't run) been this mindless monster is extremely upsetting, and seeing the other Nomu makes me realize just how disturbing of a concept they are.

Fuck Ujiko and FUCK AFO

1. IzuOcha. Status: Placated.

-IzuOcha’s could celebrate several cute tidbits throughout the year. Mini moments as they say.

Anime Highlights: The OVA’s came in clutch with moments for shippers all around and IzuOcha is no exception. We got a cute tidbit where Izuku and Ochako bumped into each other and were flustered.

Manga Highlights: Christmas kept on giving to this fandom as the AM doll Izuku gave Ochako made many appearances. A cute fist bump between the two was also exchanged and Mina was right there bouncing with y’all.

Heroes Rising: Izuku super man carried Ochako to safety. And was Angy she was injured. Fans could enjoy the small Lois Lane moment.

Troubling Signs?: Ochako said “I would like to be excluded from this narrative” when it comes to her feelings for Deku. She’s a hero damnit! So if they are in for something, probably won’t be while they are still in school.

II. DabiHawks. Status: Yikes.

- Dabi and Hawk’s very public breakup set this fandom in disarray but also kind of disayay?

Anime Highlights: None yet. This fandom was cruelly cock blocked by Bones. Sorry DabiHawks stans.

Manga Highlights: Where to begin, my goodness. With these fans, I guess the good and the bad is a plus in this homoerotic double agent relationship. We have the notion that Dabi may have known Hawks when they were kids, which may be a positive? Hori sure loves his childhood friends. Other than that. The GIRLS WERE FIGHTIN’. Hawks is now permanently scarred by Dabi and I don’t think it was kinky folks. Tokoyami inserted himself in the middle to White Knight Hawks, Dabi broke up with him via YT expose and overall, shippers could anguish in the absolute MESS that this ship endured this year. But I’m sure that’s part of the appeal. So...yay?

Heroes Rising: They were both in it.

Troubling Signs?: The entire relationship is a troubling sign which again, is part of the appeal. Maybe Hawks will cuddle up with Dabi’s father after the war. That’s troubling! Speaking of...

III. EndHawks. Status: Yearning and Burning.

-If there’s one thing Endeavor couldn’t stop worrying about, it was his hot (in more ways than one) new side piece who probably should have looked at the fine print when signing a contract to be a recurring guest star on “Keeping up with the Todoroki’s”.

Anime Highlights: A fateful meeting finally in high definition for all our eyes to see! Hawks’s unwavering support of his biggest hero was endearing to watch and their shenanigans together spurred the anime onlies to finally jump on the biggest May-December ship in the series.

Manga Highlights: Endeavor’s admiration and concern for Hawks seeped through the pages as we entered our most exciting arc in the manga yet. Fate split these two up yet entwined their downfall together. And that Fate’s name was Dabi...or should I say ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️ or should I just say Touya!

Heroes Rising: “Don’t bite my head off, Endeavor.” Geez, can you flirt a little less loud Hawks?

Troubling Signs?: They say never meet your heroes and Hawks is in for a rude awakening. We shall see just how deep his admiration runs or if Endeavor’s past will split our dynamic duo up for good.

IV: TodoDeku. Status: “Precious”

-Shoto’s “Midoriya is in Danger” radar was highlighted in both manga and anime. 4th User’s quirk, who?

Anime Highlights: “Midoriya hasn’t returned yet.” “Where’s Midoriya?” “Midoriya! Grab my hand!” “Have some of my Soba Midoriya.” Shoto gets it. His emotional support friend is a danger magnet. Heroes Rising: Shoto kicks some dog ass and then faints thinking of Deku (and Bakugo but shh. Let the shippers rejoice.) On the bright side, we have a 3rd movie coming featuring “The Three Musketeers” so shippers of TdDk can HOLD TIGHT to what’s to come.

Troubling Signs?: Shoto still doesn’t know about OFA and he’s gonna have LOTS of questions after this arc. Will Deku finally tell him? If not, it could make or break the ship.

V. TodoBaku. Status: “Shining through the city with a little funk and soul.”

-Who knew the greatest comedy duo we needed was Shoto and his hot headed “friend” or not friend? It still remains unclear to Shoto. Regardless, these two had a fun year.

Anime Highlights: “I wanna see your cute face”, disco dancing, and more fun in the provisional license training. Plus the OVA added some cute moments between the two such as Bakugo staying behind to save Todoroki during a dangerous excercise and his adorable plan neatly animated for us. I’d say TodoBaku’s really were resurgent and energized this year!

Manga Highlights: Shoto, that is not how you properly Catch a Kacchan, I’m sorry. But at least you did it you mad lad. As with Deku, Shoto spent the year worried sick about Bakugo. While the anime let us have our fun, these two were suffering in the manga.

Heroes Rising: Again, Shoto put a dog down and then fainted with Bakugo on his mind (and Deku but we ignore that. Shush.) TodoBaku’s have the 3rd movie to look forward to which is bound to have some amazing content!

Troubling Signs?: They have a lot of trauma to deal with. And a lot of Deku to worry about. I also imagine Shoto will be hurt about being left out of the OFA secret. We shall see what 2021 has to offer.

VI. KiriMina. Status: Unbreakable.

-Changing your hairstyle to match the gal who inspired you in middle school? Sorry y’all but if Mina were a guy, I’d say that’s gay af.

Anime Highlights: We got that backstory Bois. Red Riot’s origin might as well make him be called Pink Riot. Again with Hori and the childhood friends though I wouldn’t exactly call them friends. They just went to the same middle school but Kirishima was highly influenced by Mina’s Chivalrous spirit! A ship is born!

Manga Highlights: The influence is mutual! Mina creates a move based on Kirishima’s unbreakable and we all let out a collective “awwww”. Also in the war arc, we got Kirishima making sure Mina’s chivalrous spirit shines through right into Gigantomachia’s mouth! KiriMina may just be the unsung MVP’s of this arc.

Heroes Rising: They were in it.

Troubling Signs?: I can’t think of a single one. KiriMina’s can enjoy a peaceful sailing.

VII: KiriBaku. Status: Crumb Collectors.

-2020 was an uneventful year for KiriBaku but Bones made sure there were crumbs aplenty! Thank God for OVA’s!

Anime Highlights: KiriBaku’s did thrive in one episode! Kirishima reflects on the sludge incident and evolves his quirk based on inspiring words from Bakugo! Hooray! KiriBaku’s can thrive in their blossoming friendship. The OVA also has Kirishima (and Kaminari but shh) once again following Bakugo’s lead when it comes to the training excercise. How can you not? He’s so manly!

Manga Highlights: Not gonna lie. There is nothing much here this year. I did find a teeny tiny flake in Aizawa’s flashback. Kirishima and Bakugo are sitting next to each other. Oh! And at the hot pot gathering, Bakugo sits next to Kirishima! Eat your crumbs KiriBaku’s! There’s always next year!

Heroes Rising: Kirishima hangs with a lazy Bakugo and delivers the most hilarious line in the whole movie. “Silly Bakugo, there won’t be villains here!” Hahah... Silly Bakugo. Oh you~ KiriBaku’s can inhale the fact that those two sure love to hover around each other!

Anime Highlights: Three words. Be. My. Cane. The OVA’s helped fan the flames of the BkDk hearts with a surprise! Deku tops! Not only that, we got a lovely shoulder tap of encouragement in the canon material. While in season 4, Deku’s primary focus was Eri. Bakugo and Deku still had their moments to be hella gay.

Manga Highlights: Where do I even begin? I guess we’ll just cut to the chase with Bakugo Katsuki: Rising. We finally saw Bakugo’s true feelings manifest for Deku and if getting stabbed for him isn’t the ultimate showing of love, then idk what is. BakuDeku’s rounded out the year with the Volume 29 cover AND the volume 29 cover drafts to eat at our heart strings. Overall, their relationship got the spotlight in the manga this year. And we’re bound to start 2021 with a dramatic confrontation. Hand holding seems to be the key with these two and it didn’t stop with Heroes Rising...speaking of.

Well—I’ll start by saying I think the LOV characters are all around much better handled than any of the hero characters. They feel more real, and Hori writes them to be more reactive to the things that happen to them. In fact, that’s Shigaraki’s entire character. He’s reactive to everything around him.

So with that being said—yes and no? I mean, BNHA does not have a lot of death in it to begin with. Magne’s death was specifically to spur a change in Shigaraki’s character. It served a purpose.

Twice….well. We’re still waiting. But I think it’s coming. The repercussions will come back. I do think his death served a purpose, a good one. It’s just taking forever to get to it. But their reactions to Twice dying—Toga being so hurt she left the LOV mid war to go get an answer that would either satisfy her or break her heart completely, Dabi roasting Hawks alive, Spinner and Compress both trying to just keep the group together—yeah I’d say those reactions are on point.

Deaths on the hero side? Eh…we have Midnight and Night Eye. And the panel of Mina and Kirishima sobbing over Midnight was pretty on brand. Night-eye’s wasn’t bad either. I mean it was emotional for the characters. But one thing I will say about Midnight and Nighteye dying is that…they’re irrelevant. And they have had almost no impact on the story thus far since they’ve left the story. Night eye especially since it’s been so damn long and…literally nobody talks about him lol. So I will say that the villain deaths have had a lasting impact on the story, since Shigaraki’s change of character changed the entire story onward. And again, still waiting on follow up for Twice.

Aizawa and Mic—they’re both adult heroes. Which means they are stuck in that boomer mindset. Aizawa obviously cares about his students, and does his best to make sure none of them get hurt when they’re in a battle. But ultimately it comes down to “we as heroes must defeat the villains”. Which is bad, and is a mindset that is being challenged by the kids right now in the story.

This chapter set the pathway for that to happen really bluntly. The fact that the kids’ immediate reaction to Mic was to just ignore what he was saying.

Aizawa has his own thing going on though. I’m still waiting for focus on him and Kurogiri.

As for Aizawa wanting revenge? That’s normal. I talked about that here actually. It actually wouldn’t make any sense for him to suddenly show compassion for villains when he just got out of a war where he was fighting for his life. Yes, we as readers know why the villains are doing what they’re doing. But the actual characters in the story don’t. This last slew of chapters we’re heading into is going to be them learning just that. Learning from past mistakes, learning that villains are people too. Aizawa needs to be shown changing his mindset through Kurogiri. I think that’s why we haven’t seen Aizawa seriously reflect on the death of Shirakumo yet. Again, adult mindset=bad. Adult mindset —->🚮🗑. I think the next year of chapters is gonna be doing exactly that. It’s a coming of age story after all, and that’s pretty much always how it goes.

Do I expect the narrative to go into a full blown exploration of how the system needs a major reworking so that villains with strong convictions don’t keep popping up? No, not really. I don’t think there’s set up for that. Do I expect the idea of child soldiers to be seriously questioned by the characters themselves? No, not really. The title of “hero” doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I don’t think the story was ever gonna try to get rid of that title, I think it’s always been about redefining it. So I don’t think the hero and villain labels are going anywhere, which means hero schools will still probably exist at the end of BNHA. The system is flawed and needs to change, but that’s not the trajectory we seem to be headed down. It looks more like it will be specific characters (UA kids, Aizawa, All Might, and Endeavor) changing their view on villains and the way they approach fights. And we’re gonna be shown that it WILL (in the future) have a domino effect on others. It looks more like it will be a change in perspective of the individual characters, not a change of the entire system. At least on screen. I think society will accept the LOV back after the LOV (specifically Shigaraki) saves everyone from AFO. And I think that will plant the seed of “okay, now what’s next to make the world better”. I don’t expect the massive change to all happen on screen.
