As Eret walked through the entrance of her castle, an unease settled into her stomach that made her feel as though something was wrong, off in a sense. The castle felt still as the unusually chilled air made her hug her cloak tighter around her while she walked through the winding halls that approached the throne room. She rounded the corner and felt a shudder work its way down her spine as she forced herself to stand just a little straighter when she discovered someone sitting atop the pedestal she usually occupied.

Lounging on her throne was none other than Dream, hanging lazily over the arm rests as he held her crown in his hand, casually playing with it as if it was nothing more than a toy. He tilted his head over to where she stood frozen in place, porcelain mask boring into her soul, and gave a smile with too much teeth to be anything other than a threat. Dream swung his legs around so that he sat normally and lifted his hand and curled his finger, motioning for Eret to come closer. As if a puppet on a string, she stiffly shuffled over until she stood in front of the throne where she resisted the urge to look down and instead met him eye to eye, grasping desperately at anything that would give her some sort of power in this situation.

“Hello Eret, I was looking for you actually. You see, I came earlier today and found not you, but a mimic in your place. It was so convincing I almost didn’t notice it wasn’t you.”  Dream said, his tone holding a faux playfulness to it that Eret knew was anything but. He casually stood up and placed the crown on Eret’s head, letting out an amused huff as she minutely flinched at the contact. “Well, let’s go check in on our guest shall we? We shouldn’t keep their majesty waiting.” Dream spoke as he stepped down from the throne and brushed past her, only briefly stopping to motion for Eret to follow. She knew she was in deep shit as she quickly caught up to Dream, trying not to stumble as she matched his brisk pace down the castle corridors. She swallowed nervously as she forced herself to keep moving; she knew Dream wasn’t stupid and knew that whoever was on the throne was there because she let them be there. She was also well acquainted with his cruelty, and that whatever had happened before she had arrived at the castle had not been pleasant.

As Eret followed Dream into the depths of the castle, she felt the air become damp with a moldy tinge only underground dungeons could know. She tried to count her steps in hopes of distracting herself from the tension that hung thick in the air like an early morning fog before giving up as it was only making her more anxious. She instead let her mind wander, trying to think of how Dream could have discovered the fake on her throne. It had been about a month since she had been away, so he was obviously fooled for that whole month, or was he? Had he known this whole time? Was he simply waiting for the right time to catch them off guard? Eret shook her head gently in an attempt to try and dispel her increasingly intrusive thoughts. The last thing she needed right now was to get stuck in the swirling void of her anxiety, she needed to be present to be able to react accordingly to whatever twisted game Dream had planned.

Eret could feel her heart thrumming in her veins as Dream slowed to a stop, pulling out a set of keys and unlocking the door that entered the area where prisoners were kept. She stepped through the threshold after Dream and took a moment to let her eyes adjust to the dimly lit walkway, the torch scones lining the walls barely making a dent in the suffocating darkness. As her eyes adjusted, she started to recognize a figure chained to the wall in one of the cells and had to suppress a noise of distress as more features came into focus. The figure chained to the wall was none other than Imago, a shapeshifter who had been sitting in for Eret for weeks now. His pale skin was littered with cuts and bruises, blue blood dripping from not only his various injuries, but from his nose and mouth as well, leaving a small puddle on the floor that had already begun to dry a deep purple. He was still wearing one of Eret’s outfits, although it was significantly more crumpled and dirty now, and his hair was still slightly curly and brown at the roots, meaning he had no time to shift back before being beaten unconscious.

Eret bit back the bile that had started to rise in the back of her throat as Dream unlocked the cell door and swung it open unceremoniously, letting it hit the bars with a loud clang that seemed to reverberate down the corridor. Eret didn’t flinch, or so she told herself. As Dream entered the cell, Imago stirred just enough to show he was alive. Eret wondered whether it was better or worse to still be alive as Dream unlocked the iron shackles holding Imago to the wall, letting him slump unceremoniously to the floor. Dream nudged Imago’s face with his boot before crouching down and grabbing a fist full of his still whitening hair, pulling him roughly off the ground, eliciting a weak groan from Imago as he grimaced slightly.

“This is the thing I found on the throne,” Dream spoke with vague disinterest, tilting Imago’s head up and letting the cerulean blood from his nose trickle down his chin where it slid down his neck and eventually soaked into the collar of the blouse he had been wearing. “I must say, it really had you down to a T. Your clothes, your mannerisms, hell even the way you speak. I almost didn’t realize it wasn’t you.” he continued, standing up and turning around to drag Imago out of the cell by his hair. Imago, slightly more lucid with the added pain of his hair being yanked, attempted to weakly grasp at the source of his pain as he winced and writhed with every harsh pull. All Eret could do was silently follow them down the hall, her heart beating faster with each step she took as her body seemed to know where they were going before her mind had the chance to catch up; the dull ache in the ring of ever building scar tissue on her neck growing with each passing second. Her hands began to tremble as she attempted to calm her shaky breathing before her breath hitched in her throat at the realization of where Dream was headed. She hoped she was wrong, she hoped and prayed to whatever deity could be looking down on her that the path they were treading was some cruel coincidence, a sick joke. But it was no coincidence, and there was no god smiling down on her that day.

Dream had stopped only for a moment to unlock the wooden door before striding into the room, leaving Eret to will herself to enter the room she so desperately did not want to be in, every fiber of her being screaming at her to run as far away as possible. Reluctantly stepping into the room, Eret kept her head down and eyes unfocused, hoping that would keep her from remembering what it looked like. But this room had been burned into her memory long before she ever met Imago. It was fairly spacious but dimly lit, the only source of light being a small window in the top of the wall that practically touched the ceiling; the only decoration a block of wood with a curved divot in it, covered in long since dried blood. Eret thought she was going to be sick as Dream threw Imago onto the block of wood, Imago barely having the coherence or strength to catch himself. Dream then roughly shoved Imago, making sure his head was lined up with the chopping block before walking around to stand in front. After a brief moment, Dream summoned his axe from his inventory, the enchanted netherite gleaming a wicked purple in the dim light that filtered in. Eret felt her heart race as she instinctively put her hand to her neck, covering the thin, pale line of flesh that circled her neck; as if she was the one on the chopping block and could somehow stop Dream from letting loose the guillotine.

“Since this thing wanted to play king so badly, why don’t we show it the consequences of its actions, a punishment fit for a king.” Dream stated, enjoyment evident in his voice as he began winding up for the swing. Eret’s body moved well before her brain had time to process anything, rushing forward with her hands up, yelling to stop before she could even think of the repercussions. Dream halted the descent of his axe and turned his head to look over at Eret, the black dots on his mask boring holes into her as a grin of dark amusement slowly spread, his mouth truly being the only feature of his face visible. “Eret, you already know how this goes. If you’re so eager to switch you can, but I doubt you will enjoy being down to two lives.” he purred, voice dripping with the sickly sweet honey that Eret despised. She bit her cheek and let her eyes nervously cast down to where Imago was limply hanging from the block. Much to her surprise, he had tilted his head just enough so that one of his eyes was peering up at her. They shared a meaningful look before Imago weakly shook his head and slumped back into the crevice of the wood. Dream snapped his fingers, forcing Eret to focus on him. “Well? It’s rude to keep me waiting, your majesty.” he snarked, not even bothering to hide how much pleasure he was taking from this situation.

Eret let her head droop as she cast her eyes to her feet. “Sorry Sir, it won’t happen again.” she mumbled, hoping Dream wouldn’t make her repeat herself. Dream seemed satisfied by this, however, as he took that as license to continue. Eret felt tears start to slip down her cheeks as she squeezed her eyes shut, unable to stomach the thought of seeing Dream heft his axe over Imago’s neck. He brought it down with a viscous smile on his lips and a sickening crunch as the tell-tale snap of a life being lost seemed to echo against the walls of the room, mocking Eret. The room only seemed to become darker.

Listen. I love the dcxdp crossover. It’s a lot of fun! There’s so much that can be done for this crossover, with all the characters and settings and the many plots that can spring up from them. But as much as I love writing for it and sharing my fics with the community, there’s been a significant uptick in things that are rubbing me the wrong way. Some of these things have to do with canon vs fanon, but others are more about the shifting culture of the community.

(keep in mind that I only see things on Tumblr and am not in any discords, so my experience will be different from others bc I have a more limited experience with the wider community)

Let’s start off with a look at what we’re doing as a group:

Building off of completed fics on tumblr: I always thought the etiquette is to not build off of a completed work without permission. Someone had an idea and executed it, then shared it with us. It should end there. If you want to add to it, contact the author first and see if it’s something they’re fine with; some will say no, some will say yes, some will say yes but be sure to credit them for the original fic. A lot of what I’m seeing is a completed fic gets added on to in a way that completely takes it away from the original idea. Having experienced this myself (on a requested prompt from someone else, no less), I found it kind of rude. Maybe it’s just me, but a completed fic is not a prompt request or something open for building up another story around. It’s already completed. Leave the story as is and let the author know you liked it.

Expecting others to write for you: the prompts are what build this crossover fandom, in my eyes. Prompts are posted and people create something around them, either as a group by adding onto what other people are saying, or as individual fics that one person wrote. Now I’m seeing people throw out prompts that are basically fic outlines, then begging others to write something for it. Like, those prompts are already written! They have very specific details! Why not write it yourself? You’re already halfway there, you can just write the thing you want to see and post it. It’s not about being ‘good’ or ‘bad’ at writing, it’s about crafting an idea to share to the world. Why ask others to write it for you when you’ve already practically done it?

But also, you are not owed fic. This might just be general fandom burn out talking, but being a fic author who has been treated like a machine? It sucks. I love writing, but I share what I write because what I wrote made me happy and I wanted to share that with others. I’m not a content creating machine who has to pump out fic after fic for other people’s entertainment. I just want to share what I love and having people pop up in my notifs only going “write more/tag me/sequel?/etc” is tiring. I get that it’s coming from a place of love bc you liked the fic enough to want to see more, but please actually talk about what I’ve already written instead of going “update? More? MORE????”

Hostility to DC canon: I get that DC canon is a mess, but it still is a canon and has a lot of cool stuff! I’m seeing a lot of posts recently about how dpxdc people refuse to engage with the comics, and I need to let yall know that this is not a new thing. DC fans also refuse to engage with the comics (it’s mostly batfam) and it’s very easy to tell who has and who hasnt ready batfam related stuff bc the fanon is incredibly wrong about characterisation and what happened in comics. But that’s for a different post.

I’m seeing both sides of the argument (this is for fun, reading comics isn’t required, don’t like don’t read vs it’s tiring seeing people butcher my favorite characters into ocs with their name/face, I want to share my love for comics but there’s so much pushback, it shouldn’t be weird to expect people engaging with a media to have actually engaged with that media). And I think you should engage with comics! DP is a unique case in which fanon is for the most part better and more interesting than the original show (also death to the author/butch hartman), but DC comics shouldn’t be engaged with in that way. If you like the characters you see in dpxdc, you should read about them in comics! The whole point of a fandom is that you’re a fan of the original media. That’s why you’re engaging with it in this way, writing within the world and characters and canon.

I don’t know how people write for fandoms when they’re not familiar with the source material. I wanted to write dcxdp so I started rewatching DP. I’m reading comics. I want to know the characters and their stories so I can have a foundation to write from, and also to better understand the media so I can share my love for it. The refusal to engage with source material while engaging with its fandom is so strange to me.

Also dc fans who love the comics are great! In my experience, they’re very kind and willing to help you jump into comics! Don’t know where to start? Pick a character or team and follow them! Want a reading guide? We’ve got TONS. want thoughts on a specific character or comic run? Just ask!

Now to more specific points about what I’m seeing in dcxdp works:

Mischaracterized batfam: this is a group of people who are disasters and have complicated relationships with each other. They’re kind, wonderful people who bring out the best and worst in each other. Why is Batman always adopting people. Why is this a running joke with the batfam. I get it being a joke the first few times, but I’ve seen it so often and done like it’s accurate characterization that I just. I can’t. I leave that fic immediately. I can’t do it anymore. Batman is paranoid and tried very hard to keep kids away from him/away from being a vigilante. Unfortunately all the kids he got are stubborn and smart so he was doomed from the beginning.

Superman and Kon: you guys are pretty much only pulling from Young Justice Animated which I think is a terrible adaptation, but that’s my own taste. But seriously. Clark is kind. That’s an important part of his character! He’s the strongest man in the world and he’s kind. He was also dead when Kon first appeared as a experiment from CADMUS in Hawaii. They’re not father-son, but they are family and they do care for each other, once they get to know each other. Also Kon is not an angry broody boy, he’s funny! And annoying! pls read kon comics guys, i promise youll like his actual character

Chronos??? Guys. Chronos is not a god in DC canon. He is in Greek mythology, but in DC he’s a Captain Atom villain and he’s literally just a guy who got obsessed with having perfect timing. He’s themed around clocks. He has nothing to do with time travel or time gods. The Speedforce is Time, basically, and it is not human. It is an eldritch being beyond our comprehension that can eat people. If it chooses to have a human form, it’s going to choose to look like Bart. Please read Flash stuff, it’s interesting!

Lazarus Pit Madness lasts like 5 minutes in canon. Jason having it, and being affected by it for years, is a purely fanon thing from the dc side. Not going to say anything more on this because it goes into Jason Todd discourse.

Repetition: I’m sorry but I’m tired of seeing the same things over and over. I barely see anything out of the dcxdp tags thats new and fun to engage with. Everything is the same variation of “Danny helps Pit Mad Jason”, “Bruce insta-adopts Danny”, “Superman is mean to clones”, etc etc. Think of any popular dcxdp trope and that’s all you’ll see. I get why these are fun and popular, but the way it’s being engaged with now? It literally makes me exit Tumblr and put my phone down.

Not every prompt has to go down the same routes as the other prompts. Please explore more options, branch out, twist those tropes around to do something new with them. And also stop going onto other people’s fics and saying “what about [dcxdp trope]? Cant wait to see [dcxdp trope]! You should have [dcxdp] trope.” If I didn’t include it, it’s not included for a reason. There are hundreds of other fics that write specifically about those exact tropes. Read those, or write your own. (im being super bitter here but please just let me write what i want to write without trying to pull the story into another direction for a trope you like. Im writing for me, but sharing it for you. Not every fic needs those tropes in them.)

Tumblr specific things: this is less about the content and more about general posting etiquette. Please put long posts under a read more. If it’s more then three paragraphs, consider adding a read more if there is significantly MORE than three paragraphs. Tag appropriately. Content warnings and trigger warnings should be at the very top of the post and in the tags so they can be properly blocked. If you’re posting fic/prompt, please double check your spelling and fix any typos you find because posts that are filled with excessive typos are difficult to read.

There’s probably a lot more to talk about, but just getting this much out is tiring and, frankly, I don’t want to think on it any more today. If you reply/add comments, I won’t get to them in a while bc I will be writing ghostlights and yhk fic to lift my mood :)

so, to be completely honest, this is not the first time i've written and published fics!! though, i've NEVER received attention like this and it's so so nice!!

i've been writing little stories in my head for probs as long as i can remember. writing was just always something that i've done and i have distinct memories of crying to my mom about how hard it was sometimes when the words came out wrong or i struggled to spell them correctly. this would later be diagnosed as dyslexia but my mom made sure to get me the correct support i needed!! it still fucking sucks but whatevas lmao

also, my mom loved to write when she was in college!! and she was really good, too, but she gave it all up to marry my (stupid ass) dad and raise my sister and i. but that's a really sad story for another day.

BUT i wrote some crappy mcu fanfic on here when i was like 10?? really really bad i hadn't even seen all the movies when i wrote that i just thought bucky was hot lmao- (do not go looking for that shit i will cut you- i don't even know how you would find that but no! bad!)

then, during covid, i had a fever dream the night before christmas (deadass im not being funny) and started writing fanfic for...ugh i can't believe im gonna say this but it was sherlock lmao-

like...legit 12 books. each with like eight to nine chapters. it basically followed the plot of the show EXACTLY except for with the add in of my oc lmao. that's posted on wattpad (again. i will commit crimes to keep my name away from that shit lmao- i tried rereading it the other day and nearly died from cringe)

OH AND I WENT THROUGH A CRINGY ASS POETRY PHASE LMAO THOSE WERE BAD BAD- tbh might be willing to share them to strictly laugh at but idk where i would find it anymore bc i feel like ive scrubbed it off my phone-

all that to say, i've been doing crappy writing for a very long time, but this is the first time that i've actually felt really proud of my work. also, you're such a sweetheart to ask this and it was so fun to reply to!! i really do love yapping yall up!!

Sam:

1. ALWAYS wants to be riley’s type. so whenever she was dating jordan, HE WOULD DRESS LIKE JORDAN. if he saw riley spare a glance over at some girl, HE WOULD DRESS LIKE THAT GIRL THE VERY NEXT DAY. in other words he has no sense of style himself.

2. he didn’t ALWAYS have his stutter. it developed by the time he was six. also it’s genetic, not any sort of brain trauma or anything - his dad had a stutter when he was young too, but went to speech therapy and eventually fixed it.

3. speaking of which HE DOES HAVE A DAD YALL!!! HE’S ALWAYS OVERSEAS FOR WORK!! VEGA DADDY FOR THE WIN!! and no he’s not abusive or anything either lmao he’s just a busy man.

Evelyn:

1. yes she lived in the UK up until she was fourteen. she’s sixteen now. so she’s only been in the USA for about two years and she regrets coming.

2. she lives with her uncle alfie after the passing of her parents. he’s very distant and barely associates himself with her, but makes sure she’s well taken care of before she turns eighteen and gains all the money her parents left behind. so yeah he’s aight ig

3. she’s very good at horseback riding. (she took lessons from the time she was a kid.) however, she never puts any of that talent to use considering she HATES TOUCHING ANIMALS so yeah that ended quick.

Thomas:

1. had a prosthetic arm (left side) since the time he was nine. how did he lose the first arm? that’s a good question you should ask him!! sometimes it’s because of self harm and losing all circulation after trying to commit, other times it’s because he was kidnapped and the joker himself sawed it off. (he will never tell anyone)

2. he has his own band and plays at parties sometimes. the cooler thing is that david nixon is the drum player even though he despises thomas <3 but a deal’s a deal right? also it works out in the end for both of them bc thomas gets all the chics after singing and david gets all the dudes after playing.

3. a bit of common knowledge but - he has three siblings. an older brother, a younger sister, and a little brother. he hates them all equally. however, they aren’t actually full siblings. they’re all half. Adrian (their father) had babies with FOUR DIFFERENT WOMEN!! role model, am i right? also thomas hates every member of his family lmao.

1. LUCIAN WILLIAMS HAS A TYPE!!! fluffy hair, freckles, a grunge/gothic style, and FUCKED UP TEETH!!!!! GAAAAH!!! both his exes had fucked up teeth (aka sophia had braces and david was missing a lot of his), and now his current boyfriend does. (bitch is a shark.) like shit. he loves those fucked up teeth. <3

2. he has tons of scars. like. tons. and you might be thinking TRAUMA!!!!! bc yes. trauma. however, a lot of them are from him being a dumbass as a kid. he would climb the top of a tree and fall off it. he would swing on his neighbor’s tire swing and fall into a pile of hoarded trash with glass in it. he would try to pull a root out of the concrete stairs and slice his shins after he fell. he is clumsy.

3. it’s time fess up….he’s not a total skinny legend no mo. he works out and is actually PRETTY BUILT. he ain’t got no six pack or nothing but he has nice ass triceps tbh……..and that’s on having an axe as a go-to weapon <3

💤 - is your oc a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? how are their sleeping habits?

Sam: pretty light sleeper. he’ll wake up whenever he hears footsteps, or when his curtains blow in the wind, or when the fridge turns on. he usually peeks under his eyelashes and then just goes back to sleep.

Evelyn: light sleeper. any little noise makes her sit up and check her surroundings, even if it’s just her furnace turning on. she’s still half asleep when this happens though, so she goes back to sleep pretty easily too.

Thomas: DEEP FUCKING SLEEPER LMAO. you think he cares if there’s a nuclear war outside his window? bro as long as it don’t make one side of his pillow hot…

Lucian: deep sleeper when it comes to noise, light sleeper when it comes to any movement in the room. if anyone touches him, he’s up. if anyone applies pressure to the mattress, he’s up. if any footsteps are in the room, he’s up. you get the point. he will jerk awake if he feels someone else is there with him. (trauma) it’s not so easy for him to lay back down either. depending on what happened, he usually stays up for the rest of night. (this improves if kai’s sleeping with him bc he feels safe.)

i told this to ruby but i wanna be an art streamer so bad lol. i feel like it would be good for me for some reason. itd help me get more of a name out there i think, and help me interact with people more. plus if i get to twitch affiliate status i can monetize my stream and earn just a widdle extra income (i know its probably not a lot but still)

Hiiiii so I wanted to do a post to sort of explain my mini hiatus AND pick yalls brains about some ideas/update y’all on what I am working on. First I just want to say THANK YOU for all the support. I know I keep saying it but I truly was not expecting fool me once to take off the way it did. The amount of love, feedback, and followers I’ve gotten over the past like week and a half has been amazing!

Now my hiatus is going to be a short one. Starting on 11/16 to 11/26. I’m gonna still be writing and such, I just might not be on here a lot during that time. So if you send an ask or request know that I am not ignoring you if I don’t answer right away.

Little Bird: oc (name to be decided) becomes one of mysaria’s spies. In exchange for possible freedom, oc finds herself in the red keep as a servant, trying to get close the prince (y’all can tell me which but tbh I’m leaning towards this being for Aegon. I really want to a little character study on him)

Pursuit of Legacy (this is a fav of mine): Alaena (name might change) Velaryon is the younger sister of Corlys and Vaemond, and newly betrothed to Aemond. Once Corlys becomes sick, Aemond pushes to Alaena to contend to be next in line for the Driftmark throne (I want them to have similar vibe of rhaenys and Corlys. Like Aemond respects/loves alaena and thinks she’d be a great lady of Driftmark BUT he also want this in spite of Lucerys)

Till you come back to me: after the death of Lucerys, Aemond and you must navigate your changing relationship (Aemond had always been in love with you, his brother’s wife, and you always saw him a close confidant. now you’re queen and must reckon with him putting your children in danger through his albeit accidental actions)

Sink or Swim (working title): this will basically be a rhaena character study. I love her and feel like she (and honestly baela) need more love. Want to explore her relationship with her sister/father/new “blended” family. A possible rhaena x Aemond action 👀. Also one day we are gonna have a convo about how people will write these Rhaenyra’s daughter x aemond fics with ocs that have personality traits that rhaena or baela have… instead of just writing for rhaena/baela. All bc they’re allergic to writing black characters. If hbo casted white actresses y’all would be screaming about the enemies to lovers realness

so, idk if this would be nsfw bc it is not the smut itself, but more like smut-adjacent narration, but still putting the break so y'all can decide if you want to read it or not

This exact moment, though? It might not only embarrass him in a very public setting, but might also make him combust and collapse from sheer lust.

The entire place is crowded to the point of asphyxiation, the fans are spinning at their limit speed on the ceiling, and Henry feels like this is probably how hell feels.

That is, if hell ever had the pleasure of getting Alexander Claremont-Díaz on his knees, making the most obscene and erotic guitar solo known to mankind, thrusting his hips to the rhythm of She by Harry Styles on his guitar while the lights focus on him; his open white shirt shows the chain he now knows contains the key to his family's home at Texas, his glistening chest and the sweat that rolls over his collarbones, his pectorals, his abdomen and then disappear on his navel behind the guitar. It makes Henry reminisce of that first video he ever saw of Alex, and can’t help but compare the performance to seeing it live after more than a year, while knowing how excited he had been at the rehearsal, jumping and moving around while refusing to practice because of his own jitters.

Of course it paid off, Alex, the bloody show-off, has the entire place entranced under his spell, not even the clients sitting on the bar stools, who had shown little interest in the performance through the night, could take their eyes off of Alex.

Henry absolutely gets it, but can't help the feeling of jealousy that courses through him. He desperately wants to drop to his knees to show Alex how marvelous he is, hoping he thrusts in his mouth like he does on his guitar.

y’know how i put a tl;dr of my general hcs for yuri in one big hc dump to expand on later? well, i’m doing it again, this time with miss sayori–let’s do this, yall!

*her parents are actually lovely ppl, (unlike yuri’s rip), it’s just their situation sucks, you know? i’ll make a more fleshed out post abt this later, but. well, tl;dr ???– *her dad is. very sick, he’d been in-and-out of hospitals for varying periods of time, eventually settling with home visits/care instead. which leaves her mom, often out working til the late at night and generally stressed out as she tries to keep a roof over her families heads, and pay medical bills in the same breath. *and that’s probably a big reason why sayori is. the way she is, bc she’s used to putting on that happy/brave face around her family, considering their situation. both to try and help them, and also to not stress any of them out further tbh?

*her love of literature surprisingly started young–telling scary stories at sleepovers, reading fairytales, playing pretend, making silly ocs, etc etc. she’s rlly good at improv + quickly brainstorming ideas, and. nowadays, she’s really into dnd and similar things. *she has a dnd group that has sessions online, since that was easier on her w/ her depression. but even that’s too much for her sometimes, she tries, though.

*since her room is on the second floor, when she wants to relax/be alone with her thoughts, she’ll climb out her window and sit on the bit of the roof underneath. *when her and MC were kids, they’d sit out there together and stargaze, but they haven’t done that in… years. but sayori still remembers it, and thinks of it fondly. *collects a lot of little enamel pins, stickers, action figures, and comic books! probably has a ita schoolbag and a flip phone with a cutesy charm attached.

*has a goldfish named ‘kerria’, her and MC rescued (by which i mean stole) them from a kingyo sukui booth at a festival when they were kids, around ten or so. *it was getting late, so the booth was getting taken down for the day, and there was only one (1) fish left, and. sayori was worried abt what would happen to them, so! she scooped them into a fish bag, while MC kept the stall keeper distracted. *let’s be real if they had just asked the guy about it, they most likely would’ve gotten the fish with a lot less fuss, but. hey, it’s a fun memory at least, ok…

*sayori was on the track team throughout junior high, but backed out before entering senior high, both bc of a low point in her depression + being stressed out in general. she spent the next few years hopping from club 2 club, trying 2 find somewhere she belonged once again. *but, well. she’d always end up getting kicked out after a few days, if she wasn’t outright turned away because of that unlucky reputation. *almost setting the cooking club on fire, trying to act out a scene and accidentally hitting s/b while gesturing in the drama club, tripping and falling into some of the newly finished pieces in the art club, etc etc. *she was. tbh, ready to just give up and attend the go home club instead, when monika suddenly approached her about the newly forming literature club! 👀👀👀

*sayori has a habit of doodling on anything she can get her hands on, her desk, her schoolwork, her skin, etc etc. she finds the action of scribbling away v relaxing. *it’s a good way 2 keep her mind off whatever might be bothering her, and it keeps her fidgety hands busy, y'know? her art is pretty decent too, round, cartoony and colorful, wouldn’t look out of a place in a kid’s book or something, to be honest! *being a comic book fan, she also draws her own sometimes, short ones mostly starring herself and her clubmates, about any misadventures they might have! *there’s def one abt the ‘wine incident’……………………………………………..

*sayori taught herself how 2 play ukulele as a tween, but her interest and will to practice slowly fizzled out as she got older. until recently that is, she’s started playing again w/ support from a certain club president! *sometimes, when one of them is having a particularly bad day, sayori and monika will skip class and hang out in the school’s music room, play s/t together, and talk about whatever comes to mind.

*sayori’s feelings on monika post-game (in the good ending) are… complicated, esp after becoming club president and dealing w/ all the self-aware stuff first hand. like, she understands it, in a way? *is she still mad/upset? obviously, they were friends, or at least sayori thought they were, but monika still… y'know. but after becoming club president herself? she gets it! because it kinda sucks! like a lot! so, cool motive, still shitty, but sayori does forgive monika in the end. *but, also: she isn’t sure if her forgiveness would even mean anything to monika, bc. does she still see them as ‘just code’, or what? i mean she brought them back for a reason, but… who knows. sayori hopes it’d make her feel a little better, at least. she misses her sometimes.

*she likes video games, even if she doesn’t play them as often as MC, she WILL kick ur ass in super smash bros + mario kart, and likes animal crossing. also, there’s an arcade in town, she’s the highest score on a lot of their games. *learning to bake from natsuki, but still can’t cook worth a damn–can and will eat breakfast stuff 4 every meal if u let her. (also rlly likes cheap gas station slushies) *has lots of little rituals, like not stepping on sidewalk cracks, sorting candy by colors before eating them, making wishes @ 11:11, etc etc. it might seem silly to others, but it rlly does bother her when she can’t complete them for w/e reason. *likes making braided bracelets bc she finds the repetitive task calming, has most def made the rest of the club + MC ofc friendship bracelets, all in their 'main color’. (blue for her, green for monika, pink for natsuki, purple for yuri, and red for MC.)

*sayori is a earring bisexual, has lots of funky ones she switches them out everyday or so, having special pairs for holidays and such.she often makes a lot of them herself, with her crafty skillz™.

how many: gee i actually dont know. I have some that are still in concept phase and some that i went "hehe wouldn't it be funny if" and never went in depth about them again but thankfully the majority are named and personality'd. four ragnvindr(gunnhildr)mincis (Jean left her name out bc it would be too much of a mouthful),two crepttores, two named and three concept varkitanos, the various and numerous concepts for genetics experiment creations, a tomokazu kid, a couple kids fathered by Zhongli and promptly left with their other parent, even one named and further nebulous concepts for cynonari adoptees because let's face it Collei is not the only stray Cyno has ever dragged home. there's a fucken lot. i really need to update and fill out my google slides

who are they: we are going to be here a while even if i do stick to the names alone. the Ragnvindr-Mincis (jeanlisaluc) are Lydia, Crepus "Crepes" Jr, Frederica "Freddie"/"Fred", and Evie. Lydia looks almost exactly like her father and the rest look like their mothers. (lydia and crepes are jean's and fred and evie are lisa's twins) (technically I share custody/ownership of this family, the kaedehara kid, and kaeya's kid w zhongli with @/dusted-star) the Ragnvindrs (crepttore edition) are Clara and Florina. they're twins and both of them have similarly mixed appearances, though Clara's the only one with Zandik's shark teeth. clara's bangs are light blue and the rest of her hair is red, and Flora's hair is the reverse. both of them have red eyes. the Kaedehara is Chiisai and she also looks like a mix of her parents, but the red streak is dye. zhongli's kids are with kaeya (Zetian Alberich) and childe (Sofiya). Zetian is all but a clone of Kaeya. Sonya is much more dragony, but dragon cant outweigh ginger. the varkitanos are Nadezhda and Pavel they look very much like cap(black hair dark eyes light skin) but the triplets in production are gonna look a lot more like varka(brown, brown, tan). the only named cynonari adoptee is Zayneb and she's brown with black hair and brown eyes (i gotta Do Something w her and the nebulous pile of concepts for adoptive siblings theres too much potential to go untapped). there are many too many experiment concepts to talk about and there isnt currently much to say either. i seem to be filling dottore's laboratory with genetics experiments. i almost forgot pantalone's ex street kids that im working on! saw a kid getting whooped for trying to survive had a flashback to himself being in that exact situation went "NOPE" and adopted the entire passel in five seconds flat.

any visions: i had not thought about it before i will tell you that. i know neither clara nor flora have one. i also know that vision holders usually have some kind of trauma and i tend to make fankid verses for eventual happiness for all parties involved so that kinda. crosses each other out ? idk! i might play around with researching the vision types and the shared traits between each element and all that but honestly it hasnt been a priority what with the. yknow. the trauma.
