said this on birdapp earlier cuz I've seen it but if you're planning to redesign Tallulah for the love of god don't take away her curly hair. you can separate her from that man if you change the beanie and sweater (even so people draw more the mushroom hat and the sweater depends on the artist) but her curly hair is part of her identity <- read her admin saying that short and curly hair is canon for Tallulah

that man doesn't own curly hair, his isn't that curly to be honest. not to the extent people draw Tallulah's hair anyway, she's also like one of the few eggs that is constantly drawn with curly hair

I could go on a tangent on how curly haired people (me included btw) struggle with self image and how it always end up with permanently straightening the hair but I feel like it's a conversation for another moment

but yeah the main point is please don't take away her main traits, same goes for her being mexican and having hearing aids

Devastating news folks- the work crush I thought i was 100% is not actually over because I saw him today and I regret to inform you he looked really good

i'm going to my cousin's bday party tomorrow which is fun and great except that my mom is also going to be there. we don't talk. she literally skipped my other cousin's graduation party just bc i was there.

Fuzzball dug a hole, so I'm taking that as a sign he's happy. Not that I care. 😝 I made an indentation under the hide. Did he use it? Of course not. Ungrateful brat dug in front of the hide and filled in the indent. 🙄 Excuse me for trying to be nice.

Sprinkles has been on top of his hide for 4 days. For a while, he had one foot on the wall, and I wasn't sure if he was settling in or not. But he seems relaxed, no stress curl, and a few times I've caught him being pretty darn sploot-y. He still hates the substrate apparently... Or just really likes his perch.

I read him all of the well wishes. He was so appreciative, he was speechless. 🥰

Think I'm gonna try to feed them in a day or three. 👩‍🍳 Hope they like mealworms.

i really want to be one of those beautiful girls who always have impeccable hair and natural-looking makeup but the truth is most days i truly don’t have the desire to put anything more than the bare minimum into my appearances

#i’m pretty simple tbh #i have great fashion taste (and am willing to admit it hehe) and i like to look good so i put care into choosing what clothes to wear #but i never really cared at all about makeup besides lipstick and eyeliner #(my best friend who is one of the most beautiful people i know would always wear black eyeliner and mascara and i just loved the look)#on a good day i accept myself the way i am but other times it’s hard to feel beautiful #i don’t know why but the thought of having to set aside time to do my makeup every day make me cringe a little bit inside #and then i see my little sister and my cousin and so many other girls and i’m like ‘belle you gotta step it up for people to start seeing yo #you differently and as more attractive.’#i remember when i was Little enough for my mom to do my hair every morning (and i had long hair) she would do all these fancy braids with it #and after a while i’d just… had enough of the fancy hairstyles. no more sitting still while someone braids my hair for me #so i got a shoulder-length haircut and never looked back and i’m FINE with just wearing my hair loose and natural every day now #but it’s quite think & dry & curly so it’s not always that easy #anyway traditional beauty standards SUCK #it shouldn’t be like that but it is. and i think a lot about the notion of ‘femininity’ and especially feminine beauty standards that are pl #placed on hispanic women and wonder just how much of that was passed down to me through my mother #i swear i will get a pixie cut and/or keep my hair short even if it is partially out of spite #belle speaks #this post is sponsored by tiktok LMAO

But like... I wanna personally fist fight EVERYONE who says white people can't have naturally curly hair like...

The whole fight was white people attacking a white girl because she was sharing a curly hair care routine. In this routine, she kinda scrunched and fluffed her hair so people were screeching that she messed with her hair to force it to curl... All I have to do is SHOWER and brush my hair, leave it the fuck alone and I get perfect ringlets.
