I know what you mean. I left army when jungkook did the whole qatar thing. *I* felt embarrassed on his behalf, i can’t believe he used to stand on the floor of the un and then he chose to promote an event built on modern day slave labor…

It ruined my love for bts as a whole. I’ve kept up sporadically to see what they’re up to after that because i still care about them, and the updates i’ve read about him has just made me sad and confused. I don’t understand why he isn’t embarrassed when even i am. Everything i used to be so proud of them for, and used to defend them for, like not putting out mindless music, not doing payola, he’s turned around and done exactly that.

I feel sorry for the other guys, but honestly, my love for them has kinda died out as well because of this. I don’t think they’re in any way responsible or should’ve talked him out of it or anything, this is jungkook’s life and he should do what makes him happy, but i can’t help but feel less love for them nowadays since i avoid bts as a whole just because i don’t want to feel any more humiliated than i already do for defending them for so many years only for it all to mean absolutely nothing because of jungkook’s recent choices.

I know people are gonna read this and tell me to touch grass or some unoriginal bullshit, but that’s the thing, that’s literally what i’ve been doing. I did leave bts, i remember them occasionally and come back to check up on them, maybe hoping it’s different but it never is.

I’m glad they’re all doing their ms soon. I kinda hope people will forget about them and they never make it back to this level of fame, because any time i see people point out completely valid points about jungkook’s manifactured success on the charts, i just want to kinda go die in a hole because i’m embarrassed i used to support him 🙃

This is what I mean about the effect the whole contradiction issue is having. It's sad but at the same time, I'm not gonna wish bad for their success cause at the end of the day, they did work for it.

Lord I forgot about the qatar controversy...I don't know how much of it is true because it was a translation of a video that got buried quickly. But supposedly it was to be a group thing and hybe changed it to just him??? I dont know why they would do that, I didn't see much about it after that which is....but yeah that got buried quickly I think. Yikes.

The points are VALID and you know it is when the only thing people say to that is that they're jealous. Please.

But I get you for someone who was there for all their un speeches, for their early interviews. How long it took them to get their first win. It is disheartening.

one important thing that Must be understood about interpersonal relationships is that you have to stop interacting with people who love you like they’re one slip-up away from leaving you. you have to trust that the ppl you love mean what they say. you have to believe that when they say “this hurt my feelings,” that they’re also saying, “can you please love me this other way next time?” and you have to wrap your head around the fact that even if you don’t understand Why someone loves you, you can accept that that they do. true, honest, & open love does not function like hp in a video game !!!!!!

I think an underrated angle on 2x05 is something that either Jacob or Assad said in some interview somewhere, which is that in that episode Louis is addicted to heroin. Thats why he has that whole stash of drugs that he gives to Daniel, that's why he gives Daniel the drugs even though he's already got him alone. He didn't just use those 128 boys for sex he was using them to get high. Bring them home, get them to shoot up, and then drain them to get that secondhand high.

It clarifies something that's always confused me about that scene, which is why Armand saves Daniel the first time. He wouldn't save Daniel as a person, he clearly knows Daniel needs to die, but he's not seeing Daniel as a person there. Daniel is just a substance. He rips him away from Louis to stop him from using.

And i think that adds a whole other layer to the fight he and Armand have to think that this is Louis on a bender, with Armand cleaning up after him because he's not stable enough to. Louis in the bed for a week isn't just healing from the burns, he's going through withdrawal. Him at the table with Daniel giving him the "bright young reporter" speech is probably the first time he's been sober in months.

It adds another layer to Armand's desperation, that Louis has been running from both Armand and himself in this way, and of course Armand wants to erase that memory. Of course he wants to pretend that that fight never happened. Not just to protect himself but in a way to protect Louis from having said those things. When he describes the fight to Louis afterwards, he says "you said the worst things you've ever said to me." And he doesn't really know how to forgive Louis for that so he just wants to bury this rock-bottom moment and move on like it never happened. After all, Louis was high, he didn't really mean it, but if he remembers then maybe he might think that he had a point. Better to wipe the whole experience away.
